Kids throwing rocks have stirred up more trouble than they bargained for when they dislodged a swarm of bees from an enormous hive built in the wall of a southern California apartment building. Santa Ana fire captain Steve Horner says an estimated 120,000 bees held residents of the apartment building and nearby homes hostage in Santa Ana after the children pelted their 227 kilogram hive with rocks. Captain Horner says several people, including firefighters, news reporters and a TV cameraman, reported being stung and at least two people were taken to a hospital with multiple stings.
Apparently the two mental geniuses weren't among them.
Firefighters cordoned off a four-block area to allow the bees to calm down and return to their hive. An exterminator later fogged the hive and vacuumed out 40,000 dead bees, then set a trap for returning worker bees, of which about 80,000 were captured, Captain Horner said. The massive honeycomb, which may have accumulated inside the apartment wall for years, was so big it was threatening the structural integrity of the two-storey building, he added.
Mmmmmm, honey.

I don't think there's any evidence the boys were after honey. They were just stupidly stirring up trouble for themselves and others. That's happened before when people aim missiles at buildings.

I am curious what the Muttawa do since 1.5 years ago, 15 Saudi girls were sent back into a school fire by the Muttawa because they were not properly covered. I don't think the girls asked the Muttawa if they were modest or asked to be sent back into the fire to die. Or where young mothers are beaten for showing a lttte ankle, arm, or hair while carrying their baby. Did they give permission for the Muttawa to beat them? Or the case of an Indian Christian who has been in jail and tortured for the past few months because he was not at prayer (Salah). Is that a legitimate way to convert a Christian to Islam?

I was more interested in your religous view of mutations. Does Allah create mutations or is it a random breaking/substitution of the DNA base pairs? If Allah doesn't control it, at what level does Allah exert control? Does Allah control anything? Can you give examples of Allah's control? What does Islam say about humans engineering the very foundations of life? When humans can change life anytime they wish, does that invalidate the belief in predestination? So does Islam allow genetic and bio engineering, or is that field of knowledge forbidden?
Genetically modified organisms often breed true. For instance insulin and growth hormone are manufactured in modified bacteria. Farm animals, goats and sheep, have been modified to produce drugs in milk. Pig's immune systems have been modified so that their organs can be transplanted into humans without rejection. Gentle, what if you or your husband needed a heart or liver transplant and the only way to live is to transplant modified pig organs, would you do it? Would your mullahs allow this or would they let you die? If your child needed the same transplant, would you allow it or would your let your child die? If you would allow it, what does the Koran say about joining with an unclean animal?

I think Gentle is a young Wahabi university age girl (18-20?) living somewhere in the UAE. She is intelligent and well educated for her age.
