Houthi leader says holding indirect talks with Saudi Arabia
[YEMENONLINE.INFO] Yemen's Houthi
...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The Yemeni government has accused the Houthis of having ties to the Iranian government, which wouldn't suprise most of us. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews ...
militia leader said on Sunday the group was engaged in indirect talks with neighbor Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
, Yemeni state news agency Saba reported.

It is the first known dialogue between the Shi'ite Moslem group and the neighboring Sunni regional powerhouse since the Houthis took over much of Yemen last year.

Saudi Arabia, impoverished Yemen's main benefactor, suspended its financial aid soon after their takeover and has accused Shi'ite majority Iran of backing the group as part of a possible region-wide power grab.

The Houthis say their rise is a revolution against corruption and misrule, but a civil aviation deal inked with Tehran last month and a series of military drills by the group on the Saudi border last week have increased tensions.

"Our contacts with Saudi Arabia have not stopped and indirect contacts took place during the last two days," Houthi leader Abdel-Malek al-Houthi was quoted as saying.

"We welcome any relations with our Arab and Islamic neighbors on the basis of respect for the other and non-interference in its affairs," he added.

Kurdish groups condemn terrorism charges against British-Kurd teenage girl
[RUDAW.NET] Demonstrators converged outside London's Holloway prison in support of Shilan Ozcelik, a British girl of Kurdish descent who is believed to be the first UK citizen to be incarcerated

(ISIS/ISIL).

Saturday's demonstration followed a statement signed by various Kurdish organizations, among them the Roj Women's Association, the Kurdish Youth Assembly and the Kurdish People's Assembly.

"The Kurdish community and supporters of the Kurdish struggle are incensed at the arrest and imprisonment of 18 year old Shilan (Silhan) Ozcelik, who is accused of wanting to join the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) to fight the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant

(ISIL/ISIS)," the statement said.

"The UK government has been criminalising the Kurds for at least 13 years, yet not one Kurdish individual has been charged and convicted of being a PKK member, despite many raids, arrests and intimidations," it added.

"The case of Shilan Ozcelik is the most recent chapter of this story and the Kurdish community are now concerned that the UK government will once again criminalise the community who have been the biggest supporters of the international fight against ISIS terror and fascism

Iran reportedly paid Argentina to get off hook on AMIA bombing
Hang on tight -- this is one of those twisty ones.
[IsraelTimes] Venezuela said to have brokered deal in which Tehran received nuclear know-how in exchange for Kirchner's election funds

Iran financed the 2007 campaign of Argentinian President Cristina Kirchner, in exchange for impunity for Iranians in the AMIA bombing, a magazine reported.

The Brazilian magazine Veja on Saturday reported that the deal, brokered by Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, also provided the Iranians with nuclear know-how.

"I need you to broker with Argentina
...a country located on the other side of the Deep South. It is covered with Pampers and inhabited by Grouchos, who dance the Tangle. They used to have some islands called the Malvinas located where the Falklands are now. They're not supposed to cry for Evita...
for aid to my country's nuclear program. We need Argentinians to share their knowledge on nuclear technology; without this collaboration it is impossible to advance our program,' the then president of Iran Mahmoud Short Round Ahmadinejad told Chavez on Jan 13, 2007, according to the testimony of three former Chavez cabinet members who now live in the United States and are collaborating in the crime investigation.

"Don't worry about the expenses required for this operation. Iran will support everything necessary to persuade the Argentinians. I have another issue. I need you to discourage the Argentinians from insisting that Interpol capture the authorities of my country," added the Iranian president, according to the report. Chavez agreed.

The bombing at the Argentine Jewish Mutual Association (AMIA) killed 85 people and maimed 300, the deadliest such attack in the South American country's history.

Argentina has accused the Iranian government of directing the 1994 bombing of the AMIA Jewish center and the Leb-based terror group Hezbollah of carrying out the attack, but no arrests have been made in the case. Six Iranians have been on the Interpol international police agency's most wanted list since 2007 in connection with the bombing.

The Treasury of Venezuela bought $6 billion in Argentina's bonds to cover its debt in 2007 and 2008.

The Argentine government also received cash for the agreement. One of three former Venezuelan officials said that the famous suitcase of Guido Antonioni Wilson, containing $800,000 which he brought into the country without claiming, came from the Iranian regime and was bound for the presidential campaign of Cristina Kirchner and that Chavez was just the middleman.

According to Veja, the exchange of nuclear secrets was managed in Argentina by Minister of Defense Nilda Garre, now ambassador to the Organization of American States, or OAS, in Washington. Iran was interested in the Argentinean experience with its heavy-water nuclear reactor "Atucha," because they wanted to produce plutonium for use in nuclear weapons using only natural uranium.

"I can't say that the government of Argentina gave nuclear secrets, but I know it took a lot by legal means and illegal means in exchange for something valuable to the Iranians," the former officials revealed to Veja in its story titled "Chavistas confirm the conspiracy denounced by Nisman."

The revelation backed the accusation made by late prosecutor Alberto Nisman in January, when he claimed that Kirchner decided to "not incriminate" former bigwigs of the Islamic Theocratic Republic and tried to "erase" their roles in planning the bombing, but added that the agreement started in 2007 in Venezuela.

The Grand Turk
Report: Syrian Agent Worked as Courier to Deliver Money to IS
[AnNahar] An agent who helped three British schoolgirls cross into Syria to join the Islamic State group was also working as a courier to transfer money to jihadists, a Turkish newspaper reported on Sunday.

Turkey announced Thursday that it had arrested an intelligence agent working as a spy for an unidentified country in the U.S.-led coalition and said he was a Syrian national. Media reports in Turkey have said he was working for Canadian intelligence -- a claim rejected by Ottawa.

The Milliyet newspaper reported that the man, a dentist using the name "Doctor Mehmed Resid", told Turkish police during questioning that he received the money sent from abroad before it was delivered to IS militants.

The agent said he withdrew the cash from a branch of Western Union and delivered it to Syrian jewelers working in the southeastern Turkish city of Sanliurfa close to the Syrian border, the report said. The jewelers then contacted their colleagues in Syria and a middleman would collect the money from their shops.

The agent told investigators that his brother, who lives in the Syrian city of Raqa, an Islamic State stronghold, received the money from the jewelers and delivered it to IS militants, according to Milliyet.

The report did not reveal who sent the money in the first place, only that it came from abroad.

Video footage emerged Friday purportedly showing the same man helping the British girls into a car in Sanliurfa on their way to Syria. The trio are only partially shown but are all seen wearing Islamic headscarves. Close friends Kadiza Sultana, 16, and 15-year-olds Shamima Begum and Amira Abase, crossed into Syria after boarding a flight from London to Istanbul on February 17. They took a bus from Istanbul to Sanliurfa, from where they are believed to have crossed the frontier.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said this week the man, who remains in custody, was not working for a European Union member state or the United States.

Despite the media claims that he was working for Canada, a senior official in Ottawa told AFP the suspect "is not a Canadian citizen" and "was not employed by" the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS).

The agent told Turkish police he was in contact with the Canadian embassy in Jordan, and also provided Jordanian police with intelligence, according to Milliyet.

"I received the intelligence that some youths in Jordan were specially trained to join IS and conveyed this information to the Canadian embassy," he reportedly said.

The agent also added he once provided intelligence for the Jordanian police through Canadian officials.

The pro-government Sabah daily claimed the agent had helped 150 people join IS since June 2013.

Turkish police seized documents revealing that the man had welcomed IS recruits from foreign countries at Turkish airports and then accompanied them to the Syrian frontier, the newspaper claimed.

Shocking revelations of Nine-Zero arrestee!
[NATION.PK] A detained MQM activist has revealed about involvement of former party high-ups in around 120 assassinations over political rivalry in the city, besides naming a Muttahida officebearer in Baldia factory fire in which around 250 people had bit the dust.

In a blurb issued on Saturday, the Rangers spokesperson said that MQM worker Umair Siddiqui, who was presented in an Anti-Terrorism Court the same day, has confessed to his involvement in different cases of assassination and other crimes.

on March 11 when Rangers conducted a raid at the party's headquarters, Nine-Zero, in Azizabad. The suspect was turned over to the Rangers on physical remand for 90 days.

The press statement said Siddiqui during preliminary interrogation also revealed that a former Baldia Town's sector in-charge of MQM, Rehman aka Bhola, along with his other companions had set on fire the Ali Enterprises garment factory in 2012 that killed at least 258 factory workers.

Rangers personnel had presented a report to the Sindh High Court in February this year which revealed that the MQM had set the factory ablaze. The information had been disclosed by suspect Muhammad Rizwan Qureshi, an alleged worker of the MQM, on June 22, 2013 during joint investigation of the factory inferno. The MQM had vociferously rejected party's involvement in the massacre.

The paramilitary force further claimed that accused Umair Siddiqui had formed a 23-member hit mans' squad on the directives of former in-charge of MQM's Bloody Karachi

Tanzeemi Committee (KTC), Hammad Siddiqui, which killed at least 120 people on political grounds.

The statement said that the team comprising MQM workers also killed MQM leader Amir Khan's nephew Sabihullah (in 2011), former Pakistain Peoples Party senator Faisal Raza Abidi's security guard Shahid Hussain and Rangers' Lance Naik Shaukat. Another MQM worker Tahir alias Nadeem SP was also murdered by killers' team.

The blurb further claimed that the accused Umair Siddiqui also revealed that a former deputy convener of MQM's coordination committee, Anis Qaimkhani, had presided over a meeting at Khursheed Begum Memorial Hall in 2008, which was attended by former KTC in-charge Hammad Siddiqui, all sector in-charges and joint sector in-charges of the party. During the meeting Qaimkhani allegedly directed to speed up assassinations in the metropolis on ethnic basis.

Iraq
Erbil: we have lived up to 97% of commitments under oil deal, Baghdad only 20%
[RUDAW.NET] The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) said it has abided by 97 percent of its commitments under a key oil agreement with Baghdad, but that in return the central government has lived up to only 20 percent of its financial obligations.

The KRG "is on schedule with the implementation of its crude oil export deal with the federal government, enabling Iraq to increase oil export and revenue at a critically important time for the stability and unity of the country," the Ministry of Natural Resources said in a statement.

"The KRG remains fully committed to the oil deal with the federal government and will abide by the Budget law of 2015," it said.

Erbil and Baghdad finalized an agreement in December whereby Erbil would contribute to the federal budget by daily selling 550,000 barrels of oil for Baghdad.

Baghdad cut off the Kurdistan Region's share of the federal budget in January last year, placing a severe strain on the Kurdish government that is at war with the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. (ISIS) and is grappling with received 1.4 million refugees from Syia and the rest of Iraq.

The deal signed in December -- at a crucial time when both Baghdad and Erbil are at war with the Islamic State (ISIS) -- was meant to have mended months of strained ties and disagreements over Kurdish oil exports. The 2015 federal budget had promised the resumption of payments to Erbil to turn the regional government.

The KRG statement complained that Baghdad was not sticking to its end of the bargain.

It noted that Erbil is "on track" with its promised delivery of Kurdish oil at Ceyhan, and was "also facilitating the export of otherwise stranded oil produced by the North Oil Company in Kirkuk."

Israel FM's visit to Ibrahimi Mosque prompts outrage
Is there anything that doesn't prompt Moslem outrage?
[Iran Press TV] A visit by hardline Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman to a mosque in the occupied West Bank has stirred outage among the Paleostinian community.

On Sunday, Lieberman entered the Ibrahimi Mosque, also known as the Cave of the Patriarchs, in the southern West Bank city of al-Khalil (Hebron), located 30 kilometers (18 miles) south of al-Quds (Jerusalem) amid tight security measures.

"The incursion was limited to the side of the mosque that is under Israeli control and lasted for about a half hour," Ismael Halaweh, the head of al-Khalil's religious endowment office, said.

"During the incursion, the gates separating the mosque from the Paleostinian market of the Old City were sealed, amid strong presence from Israeli security forces. Lieberman is trying to use al-Ibrahimi Mosque incursion as a campaign ploy," Halaweh added.

The visit by the 56-year-old leader of Yisrael Beiteinu (Israel is Our Home) right-wing party comes just two days before general elections in Israel, and followed an earlier one on Thursday night.

An opinion survey on March 10 revealed that the opposition Zionist Union is edging Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's right-wing Likud party in the March 17 elections.

Southeast Asia
Charges dropped against 42 MNLF militants
A court has cleared 42 out of 272 suspected Moro National Liberation Front militants charged with rebellion and genocide in connection with the September 2013 siege in Zamboanga City. In a 12-page document, the court said the charges were dropped because "there is nothing that will connect them to the alleged rebellion that took place."

The statement continued, "The mere act of running away from the battle zone cannot implicate them; there is no evidence showing any overt act of complicity to the crime of rebellion or to an armed public uprising; that paraffin tests conducted on them yielded negative results for gunpowder nitrates; to continue to hold them for trial despite absence of probable cause will simply be an injustice."

Mayor Isabelle Salazar said she was unhappy with the way things turned out. She said, "We will pursue justice in memory of those who died and the sovereignty of Zamboanga City. At all cost, justice must be sought."

Rafsanjani's son gets 15 year sentence
The son of former Iranian President Rafsanjani has been imprisoned by a court in Tehran. Unofficial reports say the sentence is 15 years but this has not yet been confirmed.

Government media said Mehdi Hashemi Rafsanjani had been convicted of security and financial crimes. He was accused of inciting unrest after the nation's disputed elections in 2009 and was arrested on his return from exile in the UK in 2012.

Mehdi Hashemi went on trial last August at Iran's Revolutionary Court, which usually hears security cases. The exact charges are unknown, because his trial was held behind closed doors.

Many see his sentence as an attempt by hardliners to damage his father's reputation before parliamentary elections next February. Last week, Rafsanjani was overwhelmingly defeated by hardliner Ayatollah Mohammad Yazdi in a vote to become the new head of Iran's top clerical body, the Assembly of Experts.

#6  Still a few more years of war and ethnic cleansing to complete the Shiia Crescent.

I'd say time is on Assad's side.

Getting their US of A target list from RoadsideAmerica.com?
Wanting is one thing. Getting, quite another. And none of it will do any good if the IS Caliphate is reconquered by its original owners.

#2  "Muslims shall return to ruling and leadership everywhere.”

Ruling they're having some difficulty with, it seems. I wonder if they comprehend 'leadership'?

#4  Most Americans just shrug at the taunt. Of course, the idiots who do this can't comprehend a 'mad' America and what it could actually do. The Japanese found that out with most of their world in burnt ruins. Think of all the holies of holy basically glass followed by a plague that would make the Black Death seem a speed bump in perspective. Yep, that's a good idea, make them really attentive and mad.

Iraq and Syria’s monuments for sale on eBay
[IraqiNews.com] The ISIS organization put some monuments seized in Iraq and Syria for sale on eBay.

BBC quoted reports by the British newspaper 'The Times' that ISIS seeks to earn money by selling monuments it seized on eBay.

The newspaper added that jewelry and pieces of metal and porcelain seized by ISIS made their way to buyers in the Gulf, indicating that the sales process is often done through the internet.

The newspaper stressed that the trade has become highly lucrative for the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....

...the Oyster Bay money pit...
Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) have been looted by ISIS myrmidons. The quantity of monuments were put up for sale have caused a decline in the price of some sectors in the market.
