Rubio 'not in favor of repealing' birthright citizenship
[WASHINGTONPOST] Marco Rubio is not echoing Donald Trump's call to repeal the constitutional provision that automatically grants citizenship to individuals born in the United States.

"I'm open to doing things that prevent people who deliberately come to the U.S. for purposes of taking advantage of the 14th Amendment, but I'm not in favor of repealing it," Rubio, a Florida Republican senator and presidential hopeful, told news hounds in Iowa on Tuesday.

Rubio's comments came on the heels of Trump, the Republican front-runner, announcing that he supports revoking the so-called birthright provision. Another Republican candidate, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, said Monday that the United States should "absolutely" stop granting birthright citizenship.

Rubio said he had not read Trump's immigration plan, "only press accounts." Some of Trump's ideas "have merit, but the majority of it is really not a workable plan that could ever pass Congress," he said.

#2  As noted yesterday, the 14th Amendment makes them citizens, the wording was to protect the freed slaves born in America. It will take a new amendment 2/3rds-3/4th Congress and states to alter that. Or as is popular with progressives 5 out of 9 judges on the supreme court (or one half + 1 of whatever number someone decides to pack it with).

#3  No. It goes back to some Brennan dicta. Simply needs clarification, and that can come in the form of federal legislation subsequently reviewed by the SCT.

And yes, Rubio can't shake his predilections on immigration, which should disqualify him for higher office.

#4  Rubio has always made it pretty clear how he feels about illegal immigration. That's why I'd never vote for him.

#5  Build a wall and hammer any company that hires illegals and the there really won't be many illegals giving birth in the US.

The Obama White House is reportedly ready for Hillary ‐ not Joe Biden
CNN's Senior White House Correspondent Jim Acosta reported Monday that a credible White House source told him the Obama administration is not particularly enthusiastic about a Joe Biden candidacy in 2016. Per Acosta's account, there are "concerns a Biden candidacy would end badly,

Nah! No worries Joe! Go for it!

#1  I didn't know that a rabid Squirrel could be elected President of the United States. The Constitution allows it?

How about a drooling squirrel with a brain tumor?

#2  Methinks that perhaps even in one of his delusional fits, that Slow Joe would have been a better President over the long run than Mr. Redline.

I also think that a Biden presidency would have had far less corruption than the current monarchy.

That being said, I think Joe Biden would be the perfect tomato can for one of the rather inept GOP candidates for POTUS.

#3  Biden chosen for VP for the reason that he would not upstage or be a threat to Obama. Obama wanted a potted plant for a VP. It is for this reason he would not be chosen or trusted to carry on the legacy of Obama. IMO Biden has a love for the U.S., is patriotic, is not a radical left U.S. hating, Constitutional trashing narcissist.

Black Lives Matter Director is another pretend black
An investigative blogger has accused Shaun King, a key figure in the Black Lives Matter movement, of misleading media icon Oprah Winfrey by pretending to be biracial in order to qualify for an "Oprah scholarship" to historically black Morehouse College. The blogger says King is white and has been lying about his ethnicity for years.

King is a high-profile campaigner against "police brutality" and "justice correspondent" for the liberal Daily Kos website who told Rebel magazine in 2012 that he was biracial, with the magazine reporting that he is the "son of a Caucasian mother and an African-American father." He has also described himself as "mixed with a black family" on Twitter.

King has been lionised by the press, praised as hero of civil rights and social activism. He has written extensively about a childhood in which he was terrorised by "decades old racial tensions." He claims to have been "the focus of constant abuse of the resident rednecks of my school."

Latest Hillary server sighting: Bathroom in a Colorado loft apartment; Updated
[Michelle Malkin] Hillary Clinton's server story is close to going down the toilet, and not just figuratively.

The story is a little involved and confusing, but what Clinton trail isn't? Hillary's server has reportedly been in the basement of the Clinton home in Chappaqua. Then, after Hillary was secretary of state, it was in a data center in New Jersey (where the FBI took possession of the wiped server). However, at some point before that, it sounds like the contents of that server might have been sent to another server located in the bathroom of a Colorado loft apartment out of which a tech company operated at the time. If the Hillary server story stinks to high heaven, the symbolism couldn't get more spot-on:

The IT company Hilary Clinton chose to maintain her private email account was run from a loft apartment and its servers were housed in the bathroom closet, Daily Mail Online can reveal.

Daily Mail Online tracked down ex-employees of Platte River Networks in Denver, Colorado, who revealed the outfit's strong links to the Democratic Party but expressed shock that the 2016 presidential candidate chose the small private company for such a sensitive job.

One, Tera Dadiotis, called it 'a mom and pop shop' which was an excellent place to work, but hardly seemed likely to be used to secure state secrets. And Tom Welch, who helped found the company, confirmed the servers were in a bathroom closet.

It can also be disclosed that the small number of employees who were aware of the Clinton contract were told to keep it secret.

The way in which Clinton came to contract a company described as a 'mom and pop' operation remains unclear.

#1  "Hi, World! I'm your server today

Where all our cuisine

And we practically give it away!"

#2  Was this actually a more or less clumsy attempt to create a honeypot for foreign intelligence?

Did someone try to establish a channel to feed disinformation to the Russians and Chinese?
Posted by: Elmerert Hupens2660 || 08/19/2015 8:20 Comments || Top||

#3  Platte River IT company seemed to enjoy a period of rapid growth. They went from a mom and pop operation to one with a bricks and mortar office with 2-3 dozen employees in a short time. The IT business has many, many such small companies--it is competitive. So why did this particular company enjoy such a growth spurt? Seems like there are many questions this company should answer before a Congressional committee.
