Cockpit accident believed to be cause of nose dive on LATAM Boeing 787: WSJ
[FoxBusiness] "a cockpit mishap may have pushed a pilot into the controls of the plane."

#1  "According to the report, a LATAM Airlines flight attendant hit a switch on the pilot's seat while serving a meal, activating a motorized feature that pushed the pilot into the controls and sent the plane into a nose dive, the officials said. The switch has a cover and is not supposed to be used when a pilot is in the seat."

My guess is that the pilot moved the seat aft to take care of a (possible chili-induced) biological requirement and left the switch cover unstowed upon xem/xir return to station.

Heroic doctor dies days after exposing deadly COVID-Vax component
[America Out Loud] Four days after German chemist Dr. Andreas Noack released his final video on graphene hydroxide, he was seized by a sudden unexplained attack that caused paralysis, weakness, profound disorientation (like he was drunk), and collapse with loss of breathing. His pregnant wife described the event in two videos. In the first video, her description led early listeners to assume that Dr. Noack was physically attacked, but that was not the case. In the second video, Dr. Noack’s partner further explained that she suspected he was struck by some kind of directed energy weapon (and reported at one point that the electricity went out just before he was incapacitated.)

This would not be the first time that Dr. Noack was attacked prior to his sudden and unexpected death, as he was assaulted by police the year before in Nov. 2020. During live filming, Dr. Noack suddenly interrupted his discussion, and pounding and yelling could be heard from the next room. Even without translation, the video is extraordinarily chilling. Police, yelling in German, barge into Dr. Noack’s studio, wearing face masks and bulletproof vests, all in black and carrying weapons. They wrestle the doctor to the floor, and eventually, one of the police, himself panting with anxiety, disables the camera as raised voices continue off-camera. I had to locate this video in archives as it had been erased from internet links.

We are being controlled, steered, managed, stifled, misdirected, propagandized, lied to, frightened, restrained, repressed, and generally bamboozled at every turn.

What is the truth? No one knows all of it. But there are some obvious truths that keep getting kicked under the rug.

I am beginning to recognize this feeling. This edgy, twitchy urge to turn away and focus on just about anything else. It needs a name, this feeling. And it deserves its own essay soon. But right now, even this newly recognized phenomenon I have identified within myself must take second place to the revelation I am forcing myself to confront.

I am looking at the last recorded testimony of a dead man. He died within four days of recording a video exposing a deadly chemical component in COVID vaccines. I remember hearing whispers about this at the time that this man died. It was late in 2021. We had just released our book, COVID-19 and the Global Predators: We are the Prey. Over 60,000 orders for the book were already pouring in, overwhelming our delivery systems through which we would ultimately deliver over 160,000 copies of our book. I was drowning in hundreds of inquiry emails about delivery issues and book availability. Peter was doing back-to-back media interviews. We were utterly swamped.

A few reports bubbled up about a doctor in Germany dying after he did a video expose’ on the COVID vaccines. Some said he died of heart failure. His pregnant wife claimed he was murdered. A tragedy....A crime? The crush of daily life buried the story.

The event was picked up by many media outlets, including here and here. The pushback from the "misinformation" monitors was extensive here, here, here, here, here, suppressing discussion of Dr. Andreas Noack’s dire warning as well as his suspicious passing.

The death of Dr. Andreas Noack was swept away by the tides of time. Now, in hindsight, there may have been more sinister reasons for his work and his death to be ignored.

Suddenly, the video made by Dr. Andreas Noack surfaced once more before me and I watched it, and my head exploded.

Looking at Researchgate.net
"...after screening more than 110 objects selected for their Graphene-like appearance under optical microscopy. ..The identification of Graphene Oxide structures can be regarded as conclusive in 8 of them, due to the high spectral correlation with the standard. In the remaining 20 objects..."

Given the date of the Research November 2, 2021 and looking at the Australian unauthorized data release regarding C-19 VAX related deaths for the same period. There seems to be supporting data that at least the initial Clot-shots were deadly.

-Signs, Portents, and the Weather-
Surprise! The Cause of Climate Change Is... Mars?
[HotAir] This might come as a bit of a disappointment to the devotees of the Climate Goddess. Some astronomists and researchers have been doing what those sorts of eggheads typically do, studying variations in planetary orbits in our solar system. They recently published their results in respected science journals and some of their conclusions are quite remarkable. It turns out that the orbits of the Earth and Mars interact in a predictable cycle as the planets make their way endlessly around the sun. And those interactions produce measurable effects on our planet. Among those are cyclical changes in the shape of our orbit and they seem to coincide with historical periods where global temperatures have exhibited fluctuations. (Daily Caller)

...There's a lot of technical jargon in the reports that the layman could easily become lost in, but it's definitely worth a look for those interested in this type of research. The long and the short of it is that the two planets "tug" on each other gravitationally when they pass by. This happens in both directions, depending upon where we are in our orbits during the closest point of approach. As a result, the Earth is sometimes a bit closer to the sun on average and further away at other times.
It’s the things they didn’t know to put in their models that cause problems. As they say, all models lie, but some useful. So it’s helpful to approach SCIENCE!! with humility.

This is the test of any model: do the predictions match real-world observations? If they don't, your model sucks donkey balls, scientifically speak.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
Three options. How to guarantee the West's implementation of peace agreements
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Gevorg Mirzayan

[REGNUM] On March 13, Vladimir Putin’s interview with Russian journalist Dmitry Kiselev was published. In an almost two-hour conversation, the Russian president touched on many topics, including relations with the West on the Ukrainian issue. The American and European media, of course, paid attention to the nuclear aspect of these relations, although the negotiation aspect was much more interesting. And here it was necessary to read between the lines.

Yes, nominally the Russian president made it clear that the diplomatic path to ending the conflict is not only open to him, but is also a priority. “We have never refused negotiations,” said the head of state. And this is the right approach, because the most effective option for ending the conflict is not a purely military path, but a military-diplomatic one. An option in which your victory will be documented and recognized by all direct and indirect parties to the conflict.

However, at the same time, Vladimir Putin makes it clear that here and now the diplomatic track is, if not impossible, then at least difficult to achieve.

“Are we ready to negotiate? Yes, we are ready. But only we are ready for negotiations, not based on some “wants” after the use of psychotropic drugs, but based on the realities that have developed, as they say in such cases, on earth,” the head of state explained.

And this is a clear signal to the West. The fact is that in recent weeks, against the backdrop of serious supply disruptions to the Kiev regime, the unfolding internal political crisis in Ukraine, the successes of the Russian army and a number of other factors, many experts from all sides of the conflict have started talking about the possibilities of organizing a new approach to the negotiation project. Chinese and Turkish potential mediators became more active, and Western countries began to persuade Moscow to engage in diplomatic dialogue. But dialogue is not based on “realities on earth.” The West is still not ready to recognize Russia’s new territorial acquisitions, and certainly not ready to force Kyiv to leave the Russian cities it currently occupies in the DPR, Zaporozhye and the Kherson region. The United States and Europe only agree to freeze the conflict on the principle of “who owns what, controls it.” Apparently, with some promises about Ukrainian neutrality and so on. And the Western media are now presenting this almost as a grandiose concession to Moscow, for which the Russians should be grateful.

Vladimir Putin made it clear that Russia does not need such negotiations. “ We must clearly and clearly understand for ourselves that this is not a pause that the enemy wants to take for rearmament, but this is a serious conversation with security guarantees for the Russian Federation.”

And the key word here is guarantees. A word that makes negotiations unlikely not only in the short term, but also in the medium term.

Yes, at some point (if the Kiev regime continues to crumble) the West will be ready to recognize new Russian territories. But, as the president noted earlier, the territorial issue is not the main one from the point of view of the goals of the Northern Military District. Russia needs guarantees of the demilitarization of the remaining Ukrainian territory and its non-aligned status. At the same time, against the background of total distrust of Western promises (which arose because the West regularly broke its word - just look at Angela Merkel’s confessions regarding the Minsk agreements), the president needs confidence that what is written on paper will be respected.

“The guarantees must be spelled out, they must be ones that would suit us, in which we will believe. This is what we are talking about. Now it is probably premature to talk publicly about what this could be. But we certainly won’t buy into some empty promises,” the president said.

How can the West guarantee that the remaining territory of Ukraine will not join NATO? What guarantees can there be that in one or two election cycles, the new leaders of the West will not call the foreign policy orientation of Ukraine’s scrap “its sovereign choice”, and then be drawn into NATO?

There are only three options.

The first is to have nothing to include. To do this, the entire territory of Ukraine must either be liberated by Russia or divided between Russia on the one hand and a number of European countries (Poland, Romania and/or Hungary) on the other.

The second is to minimize damage. Russia can understand and accept that it is being deceived, but make sure that the harm from this deception is small. To do this, it is necessary to ensure that the remaining part of Ukraine itself does not cause much damage to the Russian Federation - that is, it is cut off from the sea and deprived of most of its territory and resource base.

Finally, the third option is that it would be unprofitable for the West itself to violate its obligations. For example, if the guarantees on Ukraine are part of a large package deal that will regulate Russian-Western relations in a new multipolar world. That is, simply put, part of the new Yalta.

All three options are different, but they have one thing in common - time. All of them are unrealizable in the short or even medium term (unless, of course, there is a sharp collapse of the Kyiv regime). To implement them, Moscow still needs to liberate many more territories, and the West has to go a very long way from the current recognition of the impossibility of defeating Russia to the realization of the need to accept its victory. These processes will take many months, and only after their completion can any serious negotiation process begin.

#1  I have believed this all along;
"The first is to have nothing to include. To do this, the entire territory of Ukraine must either be liberated by Russia or divided between Russia on the one hand and a number of European countries (Poland, Romania and/or Hungary) on the other". The west has no credibility. Russia is in no hurry. No threats to their nation or Russians living elsewhere. Russia will continue to achieve complete and total surrender. Either the Western world works with Russia and China or they will not gain access to world markets. Isolated and defunct. Currently the West writes checks with their mouths they cannot honor.

#4  To do this, the entire territory of Ukraine must either be liberated by Russia...

Taking all of Ukraine would certainly give the Russians a good defensive position against NATO but that would make them responsible for Ukraine which is a bit of a basket case already, plus it means dealing with all the Ukrainian hostility that action would generate.

Occupying the portion east of the Dniepr gives the Russians a solid defensible border and frees them of any reliance on NATO living up to agreements. After NATO deliberately *bleep*ed the Russians with the Minsk agreements, I doubt the Russians will put a lot of trust in any treaty. It will arrive slowly and at great cost, but I predict this will be the end state.

China-Japan-Koreas
Film Review: The Battle of Lake Changjin
[YouTube] I think that it can be fairly stated that the book The Forgotten War by Clay Blair is a gold standard for military histories of virtually any period. For 37 years, the book has stood the test of time for both it's comprehensiveness and it's detail of the US involvement in the Korean War.

In 2021, the Chinese released the first of two of what would turn out to be film blockbusters, chronicling their side of at least the first six months of the Korean war. Recently, The Battle at Lake Changjin could be found online on YouTube. This film was actually one of several films released by both Chinese and Taiwanese filmmakers about World War II and the Korean War, among them, The 800, the two Lake Changjin films, The Sacrifice, and others.

Technically, the film is as good as it gets as far as accuracy for military equipment at the time for both sides, with the slapdash nature of the Chinese forces, using a wide variety of battlefield pickups. As well, the sound and visual effects were quite stunning, as were the stunts.

Storyline as filmed did show some accuracies lining up with what we know about what took place between 1949 and 1950, including President Harry Truman's decision to move the US 7th Fleet into the Taiwan Straits as a warning to communist China. At the time, the People's Liberation Army (PLA) had deployed a large number of forces to the area near Taiwan in preparation for a final assault on the island, which prompted Truman to take his action.

The storyline centers around a PLA rifle company commander, Wu Qianli, having just been demobilized following the civil war, and returning to his ancestral home to announce to his parents and to his brother that the Chinese communists had allotted 1/3 of an acre to his family, and that they would build their new family house as soon as he returned from the war.

The screenwriters at this point had accidentally showed one of my main thesis of the Chinese involvement in the Korean War: that the Chinese communists sent hundreds of thousands of Chinese to die needlessly unprepared for what they were about to face. The main character's younger brother, Wu Wanli, being young and dumb, joins the People's Volunteers, and is sent in the main character's unit.

It was the Chinese ancient military philosopher Sun Tzu, who warned about sending an unprepared people to war, that they were being sent to slaughter. But even the bookworm Mao Zedong, for all his education as a librarian, disregarded that lesson, choosing hubris over history and reality, for the bases of his military decisions.

The film proceeds about how one would expect a film to proceed, clumsily infused with the Chinese communist agenda, without trying to appear it is so infused. For one example, we see Mao trying to hold back his son, Mao Anying, from going to war. Mao Anying would wind up being killed in a US airstrike.

The film accurately portrays US forces commanders, in the early going, supremely confident about overrunning the Korean peninsula following the Inchon amphibious operation. The film also to a lesser extent, portrays the logistical problems the PLA had in their initial contact, with US air power constantly attacking their forces, and not realizing that they were bombing Chinese forces and not North Korean forces.

From that point of the film, the screenplay begins to depart from reality. The Chinese communists were surely aware about the immense difficulties they had in securing their costly tactical victories in the early going. Instead the screenwriters chose to write in sentimentality over historical reality in describing the characters in dealing with US forces.

For a more objective treatment of the subject you would have to go to the writings of Xiaobing Li, who published several books about the PLA and the Korean War, Attack at Chosin: The Chinese Second Offensive in Korea, China's Battle for Korea: The 1951 Spring Offensive, and the more generalized A History of the Modern Chinese Army.

In the first book, going by interviews with actual PLA field commanders of the period, Li details the PLA's second attack at Chosin. In describing that attack the reader will find that the PLA suffered 90 to 95% casualties. Mao, as with all communist leaders, pressed his forces into combat, without regard or training in dealing with the immense firepower that US Army and USMC forces can deliver, especially in defensive combat.

You can add to that my second theses: that even if PLA recon units were invited to dinner with US field commanders prior to their attack, they still would not have been able to comprehend what they saw, what they were told, nor what they were about to do.

The film should have displayed Mao's utter disregard for how his forces were being chewed up by the US military, but fails. Instead it shows a PLA having won a tremendous victory at Lake Changjin, without showing the cost.

All that aside, I highly recommend the film. The Youtube version is dubbed, and some descriptions are subtitled.

Elite Heaven or Real Hell on Earth?
[AmGreatness] The horrific murder of Laken Riley by a repeated felony offender and illegal alien Jose Ibarra, 26, a Venezuelan citizen, was preventable—had federal immigration laws simply been enforced by the Biden administration.

When called out in his recent State of the Union address, President Biden referenced the deceased Ms. Riley. But Biden misidentified her as "Lincoln Riley"—the USC football coach!

Biden only accurately noted that she "was killed by an "illegal.""

True—but almost immediately the left was infuriated over Biden’s accurate use of the supposedly insensitive "illegal" for the murderer Ibarra.

Biden soon apologized for correctly identifying her killer as an illegal alien—but not for misidentifying the victim.

He left the callous impression that he was more upset about offending his open-borders base than about the savage beating of a young 22-year-old American nursing student.

Biden’s woke open-borders agenda supersedes any worry over the subsequent mounting number of Americans who have fallen victim to foreign gangs and criminals. He seems oblivious to the nearly 100,000 Americans who die from fentanyl imported across open borders.
Individuals never matter in ideology
The same idea of abstract humanity juxtaposed with concrete callousness towards humans characterizes much of the current leftist agenda.

The Biden administration envisions mandating the use of electric vehicles and banning natural gas appliances. These measures will supposedly help "save" the planet—even as they make life far more expensive and dangerous for the middle class and poor in the here and now.

We are told that biologically born males who transition to females have a civil right to compete in female sports.

Such transgender activism may sound compassionate in the abstract. Yet in the concrete, thousands of women are put in danger by competing against the much larger musculoskeletal frames and natural strength of transitioning males.

Moreover, tens of thousands of young female athletes are losing opportunities to excel and set records—thus destroying over a half-century of women’s efforts to reach parity with men’s sports.
The wages of feminism are death.
In 2021, United Airlines president Scott Kirby bragged that his company was now devoted to ensuring that fifty percent of all trained pilots would be either people of color or women.

The Federal Aviation Administration had similar diversity, equity, and inclusion mandates for hiring air traffic controllers.

In 2023, Boeing bragged that it was using "inclusion" as a criterion for executive compensation. Pay from now on would be calibrated in large part on the success of hiring new employees on the basis of their race, gender, and sexual orientation.

In the abstract, ensuring that air travel "looks like America" is no doubt a noble goal.

But if such subordination of meritocracy is canonized without proper attention to the only criterion that really matters—the safety of the nearly 3 million American airline passengers who take 45,000 flights per day—lives will be needlessly lost.

Some data and recent anecdotal evidence suggest that something has now gone dangerously wrong with the entire airline industry.

In January 2023, thousands of domestic flights were cancelled or delayed because of a series of Federal Aviation Administration computer failures. Over the last ten years, near-crashes and collisions of commercial places have more than doubled.
Affirmative action kills.
...Anytime ideology and dogma trump merit, logic, and safety, the result is predictably scary and dangerous.

America needs to recalibrate its priorities to protect the lives and aspirations of all its citizens, regardless of their race and gender.

If our elites do not stop playing god and mandating their visions of heaven on earth, then they will surely ensure hell for us all.

#1  "Pay from now on would be calibrated in large part on the success of hiring new employees on the basis of their race, gender, and sexual orientation."

Well, then, if they really did implement this, then that's what they're going to get. Nothing is as powerful an incentive to employees as their paycheck. It's stupid but effective.

Tucker Carlson: Why the Left Wants Jacob Chansley Dead
[YouTube] They told us Jake Chansley, the QAnon Shaman, was a dangerous lunatic who deserved to be sent to prison, if not shot to death. Many believed it. But is he actually crazy? Judge for yourself.

#3  I've had some interactions with him. Jake is soft spoken with a voice you wouldnt think could survive prison. The characterization we see in the media, does not match the person. He does self identify as a shaman though. That part overlaps and it correct. And his depth of shamanic knowledge is deep, if you care for that stuff - he's not faking it. Really nice and peaceful guy, he's not what I was expecting.

Science & Technology
Accelerating the electric vehicle doom loop
[American Thinker] I’ve been writing about electric vehicles since 2011. EV cheerleading never stops. They’re inevitable! We’ll have 500,000 chargers coast to coast any minute now (the federal government has built approximately two)! By 2030, 50% -- or more -- of all vehicles on the road will be EVs! EVs will save the planet! Ve haf vays to make you buy EVs! And eat bugs! Don’t forget about the bugs!

Real reality is, of course, different than Mummified Meat Puppet Administration reality. In real reality, Americans have rejected EVs. GM is "postponing" EV production, Ford has cut future production in half, America soon will have about 50% fewer Buick dealers, bought out because they refused to sell EVs, and Hertz is dramatically reducing its EV fleet. Americans wisely won’t rent them. Most charging stations, particularly in Flyover Country, look like this:

#1  ...As happy as I am to hear/see this, it ain't over. It's not beyond our current rulers - especially if they get beaten in November - to pull some kind of scorched earth stunt with these things.

That's called a "market distortion."

#6  They’re inevitable!

The internal combustion engine replaced the horse and the steam engine because for most use cases, it was better. It did not need government mandates or subsidies, it was just better so people naturally chose it. Over time, the support infrastructure, like gas stations and auto parts stores evolved to meet the demand.

One of the problems with top-down government mandates is that they are created by People of Words who believe they can change the world by making marks on paper. They are unable to see the connection between electric vehicles, charging stations, and a source of the necessary electricity. Unfortunately for them, every complex system is a network of interconnections and flows. If they could see the connections, they would also be mandating new power plants and transmission lines to handle the increased demand. Notice how no one is talking about such things?

In the early 1900s, due to its growth, New York City was projected to drown in horse poo since horses provided the power for moving people and things around. Luckily, the city was saved by the internal combustion engine. In the future, something will replace the internal combustion engine, but it will happen because the new thing is better, not because bureaucrats at the EPA decided to make it so.

#7  Simple physics. A horse needs most of its energy intake to live. The rest can go to being a beast of burden. Horses need corrals. Your car doesn't. Both need upkeep, but if your horse gets sick it's probably dogfood. All this is lost on the "I was told there wouldn't be math" crowd.
