Illinois to cut state-funded health care for illegal immigrants, green card holders after soaring costs
As predicted. I’m shocked that Illinois politicians are actually cutting these payments, admitting there actually is no magic money tree.
[FoxNews] The health programs for illegal immigrants were estimated to cost the state more than $1.1B

Illinois officials are poised to slash a pair of state-funded health insurance programs that cover non-citizens and illegal immigrants, citing soaring costs that have surpassed their estimated projections.

In a statement last week, the state announced changes would be coming to the eligibility requirements for the Healthcare Benefits for Immigrant Adults and Seniors program, as the cost to run the initiative ballooned to more than $1 billion over the last year.

Illegal immigrants and non-citizen green card holders who have been in the U.S. for fewer than five years will no longer be covered by a pair of the state's health insurance programs beginning April 1, according to the Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS).

"The Department is also committed to ensuring that individuals who are no longer eligible for benefits… receive helpful information about their options so they can connect to alternative coverage, particularly through the federal ACA Marketplace," the statement read.

HFS estimated at least 6,000 people will lose coverage come May 1.

"The redetermination process ensures that those who are enrolled remain eligible for coverage," HFS spokesperson Jamie Munks told WBEZ Chicago in a statement. "If an individual loses coverage through the redetermination process, it is because they no longer meet eligibility requirements, or they are required to respond or submit additional information to prove their continued eligibility, but they do not do so."

The state began providing Medicaid-like benefits to those 65 and over in 2020 and expanded it to those 42 and over last year.

During a Joint Committee on Administrative Rules meeting on Tuesday, Healthcare and Family Services chief of staff Dana Kelly reportedly told lawmakers the state would save over $13 million by cutting out the ineligible recipients.

Last year, Democratic Gov. J.B. Pritzer’s budget included a $220 million estimate for the program for FY 2024. But The State Journal-Register reported at the time that a top state health official briefed the Senate’s appropriations committee and said the new estimate was a staggering $880 million above that.

Officials said that both the cost of care and the number of those enrollees have dramatically exceeded their estimates. The state had previously estimated 98,500 enrollees, but said there would be over 120,000 signed up in FY 24.

Pritzker ended up earmarking $550 million for the programs. This year, $440 million from the state's general fund has been proposed for the program, the Chicago Tribune reported.

The controversy comes amid a broader debate across the country about which benefits, if any, should be extended to those in the country illegally — and as the U.S. continues to face a historic migrant crisis at its border, which Republicans have said is driven in part by migrants being attracted by benefits programs that serve as a magnet.

Last week, the Maryland legislature passed a bill that would allow illegal immigrants to buy health insurance. If signed into law, the legislation would allow non-citizens access to purchase health care at the same rate as American citizens.

While I strongly support America 1st.
There is yet another flip side of the coin to this massive Illegal Agenda Issue.

It is common knowledge a significant number of the illegals arriving here, came here already infected and are now spreading highly contagious, cheap vaccine-preventable infectious diseases in our cities.

Of the estimated 1 in 6 illegals entering the USA, that ICE actually caught.
As I understand, ICE failed to VAX little, if any of them. So in too many cases the infected were detained, quick released and shipped to Large Metro areas at TAXPAYER funded support to infect others.

Either way the Regimes Open Borders agenda, will continue adding 1,000's US Citizens deaths to its accomplished goals.

But now, at and even quicker rate.

George Floyd Gets His Own Musical Tribute — to Be Sung by a High School Choir at Carnegie Hall
[REDSTATE] A Connecticut school choir is singing a political song about weather, and it doesn't concern climate change. Rather, the subject is social justice's most iconic figure.

According to Campus Reform, New Fairfield High has been rehearsing for an important New York performance. To be belted: "Weather: Stand the Storm." The tempestuous title regards the torrential downpour of chaos that occurred in 2020, ignited by the late Saint George Floyd
...The patron saint of Minneapolis...
's pivotal plight on May 25th in Minneapolis.

The song -- which is part of a larger work -- began as a poem penned by Claudia Rankine, co-founder of the Racial Imaginary Institute.
…so we can all imagine how deadly dull and clunky it must be, nothing at all like the sprightly, erudite, and witty verses turned out by Rantburg’s own Zenobia F, among others here…
The group's homepage nods to ubiquity:

We are committed to the activation of interdisciplinary work and a democratized exploration of race in our lives... [N]o sphere of life is untouched by race...

Race may be everywhere, but that doesn't mean analysis isn't due. In a 2016 discussion with The Guardian -- titled "Claudia Rankine: Why I'm Spending $625,000 to Study Whiteness" -- she dropped science:

"[I]t’s important that people begin to understand that whiteness is not inevitable... Conceptions and constructions of whiteness (have been) made and then propped up with eugenics and propped up with false science and false rhetoric and maintained through the justice system in every way... There’s a lot of other ways to start thinking about whiteness, and it involves the kind of underbelly that has been kept from the American public."

Fifth Column
Just a reminder this link to the database of known BLM funding
Link goes to the Claremont Institute, and thence to the data base. The following are the opening paragraphs of the Institute’s opinion piece on the subject in Newsweek:
Most Americans have happily moved on from the 2020 Black Lives Matter (BLM)-driven ransacking of some 200 American cities, which resulted in as much as $2 billion in property damage and at least 25 deaths. But that time must be remembered for more than rioting and destruction. The BLM pressure campaigns, harassment, and moral blackmail also amounted to possibly the most lucrative shakedown of corporate America in its history.

Today the Claremont Institute's Center for the American Way of Life published the most comprehensive database to date tracking corporate contributions and pledges to the Black Lives Matter movement and related causes from 2020 to the present. Companies and corporations pledged or contributed an astonishing $82.9 billion to the BLM movement and related causes. This includes more than $123 million to the BLM parent organizations directly. These figures, while shocking, likely underrepresent the true magnitude of the shakedown as some companies failed to make known their contributions, and many BLM organizations remain unknown.

As a point of reference, $82.9 billion is more than the GDP of 46 African countries. In 2022, the Ford Motor Company's profits were $23 billion.

Though largely decentralized, BLM is united in purpose and action. Its leaders hobnob with militant leftists such as Angela Davis and former Weather Underground members Eric Mann and Susan Rosenberg. Mann, who mentored BLM Global Network co-founder Patrisse Cullors, maintains that whether the issue is race, sex, gender, immigration, or the environment, the revolutionary goal remains the same, and the rest is just "little divisions of labor." BLM shares this view, and while its activism encompasses the full range of leftist causes, its goal is to undermine capitalism, the nation state, and Western civilization.

Alicia Garza, another BLM cofounder and a self-professed "trained Marxist," has acknowledged as much, stating bluntly that "Black lives can't matter under capitalism. They're like oil and water." "It's not possible for a world to emerge where black lives matter if it's under capitalism," she added on another occasion, "And it's not possible to abolish capitalism without a struggle against national oppression and gender oppression."

Government Corruption
Fani Willis can STAY on Trump election case only if she cuts ties with 'lover' prosecutor Nathan Wade as judge slams her for 'tremendous lapse in judgment' and acting in 'unprofessional manner'
Fani Willis,
…corrupt Soros DA who promised to take Trump down when she was running for office, proud Woman of Color, daughter of former 1st gen. Black Panther John Floyd III, marriage destroyer…
the Fulton County district attorney, can stay on the Trump election interference case in Georgia but only if she cuts ties with her prosecutor 'lover' Nathan Wade, a judge has dramatically ruled.

In his 23-page ruling Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee slammed Willis for a 'tremendous lapse in judgment' and acting in an 'unprofessional manner' when she gave evidence in his court.

However, he said not enough evidence had been shown to establish her romantic relationship with Wade amounted to an 'actual conflict of interest' which would lead to her removal.

Trump's lawyers slammed the decision to let Willis stay on the case and said they would pursue 'all legal options' in response.

Judge McAfee ruled Willis should not be disqualified from the case she has brought against Donald Trump and 18 codefendants.

But the judge said: 'This finding is by no means an indication that the Court condones this tremendous lapse in judgment or the unprofessional manner of the District Attorney’s testimony during the evidentiary hearing.'

He added that 'an odor of mendacity remains' in the case but the court was not 'under an obligation to ferret out every instance of potential dishonesty from each witness.'

McAfee had self-imposed a deadline of this week to rule after holding bombshell hearings featuring testimony by Willis herself about her 'romantic' relationship with Wade.

At issue in his decision was when the affair between the two prosecutors began, and whether it posed an actual conflict of interest or the appearance of one.

In his ruling Judge McAfee said: 'The prosecution of this case cannot proceed until the State selects one of two options.

'The District Attorney may choose to step aside, along with the whole of her office.

'Alternatively, Wade can withdraw, allowing the District Attorney, the Defendants, and the public to move forward without his presence or remuneration distracting from and potentially compromising the merits of this case.'

Trump and the other defendants are charged with a racketeering conspiracy to overturn the state of Georgia's election results in 2020 after it voted for Joe Biden. The ruling on whether Willis should be disqualified has high-stakes implications for Trump and his codefendants as well as the nation. A disqualification of Willis would throw off the schedule for the Georgia case at a time when some of Trump's other trials are in peril.

Judge McAfee's ruling comes shortly after he dismissed three charges against Trump from the sprawling racketeering indictment brought by Willis and her prosecutors' office.

McAfee wrote Wednesday in an order that six of the charges in the indictment must be quashed. But the order leaves intact many other charges in the indictment and the judge wrote that prosecutors could seek a new indictment on the charges he dismissed. The six charges in question have to do with allegedly soliciting elected officials to violate their oaths of office. That includes two charges related to Trump's infamous phone call to Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, a fellow Republican, on Jan. 2, 2021 asking him to 'find' 11,780 votes.

#8  ...Let me ask if this thinking makes any sense to anyone but me: this decision actually puts Willis in a tight spot. this is why:

1) She can fire her main squeeze, and if she does that both the gravy and sugar trains stop. He ain't gonna be happy, and he might be unhappy enough to start talking about things Willis would rather he didn't.

2) She can resign and choose the Man over the Mission...but then there's a really good possibility that this whole thing gets dumped and she loses her impending Godhood.

What say you all?

'Joe Biden family did business with drug cartel partners'
[GEO.TV] A book published last month revealed a financial scandal involving the family of US President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. We hold these truths to be self-evident. All men and women created ... by the — you know — you know, the thing...
and a partner of the Sinaloa narco mob as the writer notes about a whopping $5 million loan and an $80,000 gift to Hunter Biden, Breitbart News reported.

Writer Peter Schweizer’s book was published in February with the title Blood Money: Why the Powerful Turn a Blind Eye While China Kills Americans in which the author mentions Ye Jianming's partnership with the former leader of a Chinese triad called the United Bamboo Gang (UBG) and Zhang Anle or the "White Wolf".

According to the book, when Biden was Vice President, his family entered into a partnership with Ye. He is claimed to be associated with China’s ruling party.

"The problem of conflicting personal ties when it comes to confronting China on fentanyl extends beyond the Biden family to members of his administration. And so does the silence," Schweizer stated.

During the partnership, the Biden family received monetary benefits with Hunter Biden getting a three-carat diamond worth $80,000. Moreover, the book also claimed that in July 2017, Ye’s company provided the Biden family with a $5 million loan with no interest.

Biden's press team REFUSES to let president take questions from reporters during his trip to swing state Michigan
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] President Joe Biden’s team quickly ushered away members of press when he asked to take questions during a campaign stop in at Michigan.

Biden, 81, visited the city of Saginaw on Thursday to speak to volunteers supporting his reelection bid. Since 1992, greater Saginaw County has selected the statewide winner in every election.

Biden's itinerary included a visit to a Victorian mansion owned by members of the Saginaw City Council and Saginaw Public Schools Board of Education.

At that stop, Biden stood on the porch with his back to reporters, who were out of earshot during his conversation with supporters. 'Can I take a couple questions?' he asked.

'We're going to take a few questions,' a woman in a Biden-Harris jacket said.

But members of staff raised their arms and walked toward the crowd, repeating, 'Thank you, press, back to the cars.'

campaign official later said reporters were unable to hear the president's remarks due to a logistical issue and the slight was not intentional.

Chuck Schumer's shameful Netanyahu-blaming is all about serving Democratic Party interests
[NYP] Chuck Schumer took to the Senate floor Thursday to announce that the interests of the Democratic Party and the political convenience of the Biden administration matter more than the democratic will of Israel’s voters — and maybe more than Israel itself.

He didn’t say that outright, of course: Instead, he took the previously unthinkable step of telling the people of an allied democracy they need to elect a different prime minister, ASAP.

Benjamin "Netanyahu has lost his way by allowing his political survival to take precedence over the best interests of Israel," Schumer charged.
Everybody pushed back against his statement, and even the Biden adminstration backed away. Thanks for providing a clarifying spotlight, Senator— you’ll be retiring soon, I imagine.

[IsraelTimes] Sen. John Fetterman, who has far-and-away been the most vocally pro-Israel Democrat in the Senate since October 7, says he agrees with 99 percent of what Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer
...Senator-for-life from New York, renowned for his love of standing in front of cameras and microphones. Schumer has been a professional politician since 1975, when disco was in flower, which is 48.27382 years. Senate minority leader as of 2017...
said in a speech earlier today calling for elections in Israel to replace Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

[IsraelTimes] War cabinet minister Benny Gantz calls Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer a “friend of Israel who helps us a lot, including recently, but he made a mistake in his speech” calling for elections in Israel to replace Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

“Israel is a strong democracy, and only its citizens will determine its leadership and future. Any external intervention in the matter is incorrect and unacceptable,” Gantz tweets.
