My Simple, Effective Comprehensive Illegal Immigration Reform Plan
[Townhall] Get out, illegals. Go home. Or don’t go home ‐ I don’t care where you go. You just can’t stay here in America.

This is my elegant, uncomplicated comprehensive immigration reform plan. If we did not invite you in ‐ if you didn’t have the basic courtesy and respect for this country to ask to come here, then get out. And don’t come back ‐ if you snuck into America, you don’t get to come back.

It’s simple and fair. The fair part is important, because it’s about time that our immigration laws be fair to the only people who should matter when we make our policies ‐ American citizens.

Yes, the goal of our immigration system should be one thing ‐ to benefit American citizens. It may scandalize the elite to prioritize our own people, but that’s okay ‐ in fact, I hope they run in 2020 on a platform of putting foreigners first.

#1  My simple effective plan:
1. Seal the border, walls, mines, automated death machines, etc.
2. Deport illegals after taking enough biometric data to ensure we can identify them specifically if caught again.
3. Any illegal who is convicted of a violent felony will be executed. Same with any illegal we catch a second time.
4. Anyone hiring, aiding or abetting will be convicted of aiding and abetting foreign invasion of America and will be hung by the neck until dead in PUBLIC. This is includes passage of sanctuary laws. (We will allow six months for repeals to be done.)
5. Tell these foreign nations that ANY of their citizens we catch will result in annexation of 1 sq mile of their country. We choose which. Or they can pay a $1 million dollar fine in cash, gold, oil or rare earths.
6. Any country suggesting to their citizens to come here illegally or allowing these caravans to pass through will be considered to have committed an act of war. Immediate response will be USAF and USN aircraft eliminating power stations, water supplies, POL facilities, and airports/train/maritime facilities.

No mercy, no compassion and no tolerance. It's all gone by 30+ years of these people grinding it out of me.

#3  My simple plan:
1. If you hire an illegal your company will be fined an insane amount of money. If you hire more than 10 you risk prison as well (applies to Executives and HR Personal).
2. If you enter the USA in any way that could be called "human trafficking" you get life without possibility of parole.

The rest will sort itself out. This leaves the drug question open. My solution doesn't have a simple pat answer to that, yet.

#4  Hit them where it hurts - announce a nationwide reapplication for all public benefits, to be done over a one year period. In order to receive those benefits, you must provide proof of US citizenship, or you don't get jack shit. I bet there would be a lot of self-deporting resulting from that.

I also like the thought of a lot of Terminators patrolling the border yelling 'I'll be back' as they cut illegals down with a hailstorm of M-60 rounds.

#7  Simple - stop treating them as immigrants but as border violators and simply deport them. *NO* access to immigration courts, no asylum processing *especially* if you cross another country to get here.

First deportation by train or truck; second by catapult.

Prof John Marini: Politics by Other Means: The Use and Abuse of Scandal
[Imprimis] The following is adapted from a speech delivered at Hillsdale College on September 11, 2018, during a conference on "American Political Scandals" sponsored by the College’s Center for Constructive Alternatives.

The great difficulty of interpreting political scandals was summarized by a newspaper editor in the western film, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance. Deciding not to publish the truth of an explosive political story, the editor justifies it by saying, "When the legend becomes fact, print the legend." We have certainly had many legends regarding political scandals foisted on us, especially since Watergate.

Nearly every political administration has potential scandal lying just below the surface. There are always those in government who seek to profit privately from public service, and there are always those who will abuse their power. All governments provide the occasion for scoundrels of both kinds. But the scandals they precipitate rarely erupt into full-blown crises of the political order. What differentiates the scandals that do?

To understand a political scandal fully, one must take into account all of the interests of those involved. The problem is that these interests are rarely revealed‐which is precisely why it is so tempting for partisans, particularly if they are at a political disadvantage, to resort to scandal to attack their opponents. Many great scandals arise not as a means of exposing corruption, but as a means of attacking political foes while obscuring the political differences that are at issue. This is especially likely to occur in the aftermath of elections that threaten the authority of an established order. In such circumstances, scandal provides a way for defenders of the status quo to undermine the legitimacy of those who have been elected on a platform of challenging the status quo‐diluting, as a consequence, the authority of the electorate.

The key to understanding how this works is to see that most political scandals, sooner or later, are transformed into legal dramas. As legal dramas, scandals become understood in non-partisan terms. The way in which they are resolved can have decisive political impacts, but those in charge of resolving them are the "neutral" prosecutors, judges, and bureaucrats who make up the permanent (and unelected) government, not the people’s elected representatives. To resort to scandal in this way is thus a tacit admission that the scandalmongers no longer believe they are able to win politically. To paraphrase Clausewitz, scandal provides the occasion for politics by other means.

Purity Test Fail: Kate Smith's 'God Bless America' out at Yankee Stadium over racist songs
The New York Yankees have decided to no longer run Kate Smith’s version of "God Bless America" during their seventh-inning stretch because of Smith’s affiliation with songs that carried racist lyrics.

Most famously, Smith sang a 1931 song, "That’s Why Darkies Were Born," which opened: "Someone had to pick the cotton, Someone had to pick the corn, Someone had to slave and be able to sing, That’s why darkies were born."

The song, which has been called a satirical take on racism, was a big hit for Smith, and also was recorded by Paul Robeson.

When the Yankees last month became aware of Smith’s history, they switched to a keyboard version of "God Bless America."

The Yankees have played the song in the middle of every game since the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks at the insistence of late owner George Steinbrenner.

In 2009, the Yankees cut ties with singer Ronan Tynan, who had made numerous appearances at the Stadium to sing "God Bless America," after he was alleged to have made anti-Semitic comments.

The Path To The Presidency Runs Through The Second Amendment
[Daily Caller] In the law, there’s an exception to the "hearsay rule" for an "admission against interest." Hence, even a party you might treat with skepticism can be believed when he says something that demolishes his argument.

I thought about this recently when The Washington Post reported its findings that mass shootings hadn’t dramatically affected public opinion concerning gun rights ‐ in the small towns where those shootings occurred!

Hence, after a year of arguing that America had reached a "tipping point" on gun rights, even the liberals are conceding that we’re at the same point we were after the passage of the semi-automatic ban in 1994 ‐ the same point we were after Columbine, and the same point we were after Newtown. That is, the vigorous attacks on the Second Amendment are toxic14 in American politics in most parts of the country.

This was particularly interesting because The Washington Post published an article last week which observed that virtually every Democratic presidential candidate was engaging in vigorous attacks on the Second Amendment ‐ thereby taking a step which had rightfully terrified Democrats for the last 25 years.

Think about it: Democrats enacted the semiautomatic ban and the Brady Law in the 103rd Congress. The next election, they lost the House which they had held with an iron grip for a generation. President Bill Clinton credited gun control for the tsunami of 1994.

After Columbine, Republicans resisted the temptation to enact a single word of gun control. The next election, they picked up the White House, as a result of gun owners tipping West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, and the Florida Panhandle.

After Newtown, Republicans successfully filibustered every word of gun control. In 2014, they took control of the Senate

The Moral Of The Mueller Inquisition
[Mercer at Townhall] One among many, former CIA head honcho John Brennan had famously asserted that President Trump was "treasonous" and "in the pocket of Putin."

It was "beyond a shadow of a doubt [that Trump] sought to...collude with the Russian government...to undermine and influence our elections," seconded wonder boy Beto O’Rourke.

And that’s just a humdrum smattering of the folly force-fed to Americans for the two years of the Mueller Inquisition, from "respectable" TV megaphones, including legions of Never Trump Republicans.

The same characters, in their many interchangeable iterations, will remind you that the omniscient Mueller had equivocated over the matter of obstruction of justice. Over this, the second part of his eponymous report, Mueller declined to prosecute Trump.

The first part of Robert Mueller’s report "cleared Donald Trump of having conspired with Russia."

#2  I bet Brennan and others would have taken a different angle the last two years if they'd known Mueller's report would come out so soon and so clearly exonerate Trump.

Two years of cocktail parties seems a sad trade-off for trashing your career and reputation forever.

#3  Really?

They knew that if any prosecutor more competent than Elmer Fudd would dig and eventually make the same decisions.

They were betting on Mueller being one of theirs and the staff of Clintonistas convoluting their way to a conclusion that fit their narrative.

Personally, I think Mueller knew going it that the collusion thing was complete BS but he did what any doctor would do, order a bazillion tests to show thoroughness and called it a day.

Hundreds of Central American migrants walk through Mexico in latest caravan making its way to U.S. - as border agents capture 1,800 illegal immigrants in just one day
[MAIL] Half of those detained on Tuesday crossing over from Mexico were found in the El Paso, Texas area, according to officials.

Border patrol said more than 980 were apprehended before 5am after crossing in three large groups. The groups were mostly made up of families from Central America.

Officials released night surveillance footage showing one large group making their way over the U.S.-Mexico border.

Other migrants were also detained in New Mexico and Arizona.

A group of more than 230 immigrants were detained at the Antelope Wells port of entry in remote New Mexico, before another group of 130 were apprehended there later in the day.

Agents detained an additional 360 near Sunland Park, New Mexico.

A group of 360 were apprehended near the Ajo Station in Tucson after agents spotted multiple buses arriving near the border.

CHASE Bank Shuts Down 'ALT-RIGHT' Accounts
[GUN DYNAMICS] Chase Bank is shutting down accounts of people and organizations with controversial political views, according to an undercover investigation by James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas.

O’Keefe’s latest probe found that Chase, without explanation, abruptly closed the account of a political activist that had existed for 15 years in good standing.

Enrique Tarrio, chairman of the Proud Boys activist group and owner of a website that sells provocative political merchandise, spoke to Chase representatives who could not explain why his business account was about to be terminated.

Tarrio recorded the calls and provided them to Project Veritas.

Chase banker Marcel Smith told Tarrio: "I see nothing that indicates any reason why the account should be closed. I don’t see any outstanding transactions or anything ridiculous."

Smith noted that his bank typically gives its customers a reason for account closures.

#2  Little background on bank terms.

Banks can choose what entitles grounds for closure of an account. At my bank, you cannot open or use a business account for pr0n, gambling or marijuana business. There is a clause in the personal accounts that states the bank may close it for any reason it deems fit. This is one of the catch all ones that they have used when a customer comes in and acts really weird and slightly threatening. The bank can close the account and mail the check to the former customer.

Legally, the bank can sever ties with a customer that might put it in a bad light as well and that seems what Chase did.

However... They are doing little more than helping de-people him and de-platform him and in my opinion are helping the regressive left deprive him of his first amendment rights. There are laws in place that prevent banks from doing this on the basis of race or sex and it may be time to throw political leanings in there as well.

Liberal Reporter Tells Colleagues To Get Off The Russian 'Collusion Crackpipe'
[Townhall] Well, the day has come. The Mueller report has been released and guess what; Attorney General William Barr’s summary was accurate. There was no collusion. There was no conspiracy. On the obstruction charges, there wasn’t enough evidence to bring forward formal charges. Here is where Democrats will make their last stand. Obstruction junction is ahead. It’s the only thing the Left can keep going from this clown show. I’m all for it. The longer the liberal media looks like idiots, the better it is for us. And if the Russian collusion myth was bad, the obstruction nonsense will be a whole other level. And yes, former Young Turks reporter Michael Tracey was there to provide brutal analysis on the report. Tracey is a progressive. He does not hide that fact, but he’s also an original Trump-Russia collusion skeptic. Line-by-line Tracey guts every linchpin of this whole myth that was peddled for two years by the Democrat-media complex.

He also poked fun of those who continue to think that this Russian collusion nonsense is...real. One New York Times columnist compared Barr’s presser today to something akin to what we seem from authoritarian dictatorships. He understands that after two years of pushing this garbage, the Left is hooked on Russian collusion, though he urged his colleagues to get off the crack pipe and get on the road to recovery. Why? Well, because this report definitively kills the Trump-Russia collusion story for all time.

Airline employee worked illegally for the Chinese military at New York airports, US prosecutors say
(CNN)A former employee of a Chinese airline at two of the main airports serving New York has pleaded guilty to felony charges stemming from the illegal shipment of packages on behalf of China's military, the US Justice Department said Wednesday.

Ying Lin is a naturalized US citizen originally from China. She took packages from Chinese military officers assigned to China's United Nations mission in New York and put them on flights headed to China without the officers on board -- a violation of US air safety rules -- prosecutors allege.

In return, Lin received benefits including tax-exempt purchases of liquor, cigarettes and electronic devices, perks which US authorities said were "worth tens of thousands of dollars."

Chinese construction workers, who were only allowed to operate at Chinese government facilities under the terms of their visas, also did free work at Lin's two residences in the borough of Queens, according to the Justice Department.

Too indolent to go pick up free groceries? Enjoy sleeping until noon? No problem.
NEW YORK (AP) ‐ Amazon and Walmart on Thursday kicked off a two-year government pilot program allowing low-income shoppers on government food assistance in New York to shop and pay for their groceries online for the first time.

ShopRite will join the two retailers on the program early next week, said the U.S. Department of Agriculture, which oversees the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP.

The USDA has long required customers using electronic benefits transfer, or EBT, pay for their purchases at the actual time and place of sale. So the move marks the first time SNAP customers can pay for their groceries online.

ShopRite and Amazon are providing the service to the New York City area, and Walmart is providing the service online in upstate New York locations. The agency said the pilot will eventually expand to other areas of New York as well as Alabama, Iowa, Maryland, Nebraska, New Jersey, Oregon and Washington.

The pilot program will test both online ordering and payment. SNAP participants will be able to use their benefits to purchase eligible food items but will not be able to use SNAP to pay for service or delivery charges, the agency said.

"People who receive SNAP benefits should have the opportunity to shop for food the same way more and more Americans shop for food ‐ by ordering and paying for groceries online," said USDA Secretary Sonny Perdue. "As technology advances, it is important for SNAP to advance too, so we can ensure the same shopping options are available for both non-SNAP and SNAP recipients."

Rapper Kodak Black aka Bill Karpi arrested in New York on drug, weapons charges
(Reuters) - Rapper Kodak Black was released from custody by the New York State Police on Thursday after being arrested on drug and gun charges while coming across the Canada-U.S. border near Niagara Falls, police said.

Black, 21, was stopped on Wednesday evening by U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents at the Lewiston-Queenston International Bridge headed back into the United States from Canada, the New York State Police said in a release.

Black’s real name is Bill Kapri, and he is a resident of Miramar, Florida.

Black, who was driving a Cadillac Escalade, and three other Florida men following in a Porsche were arrested on drug and weapons charges. Black was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a Glock 9mm pistol, and unlawful possession of marijuana, police said.

The other three men face similar charges from weapons and drugs found in the Porsche.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Why aren't Europeans calling Israel an apartheid state?
[Aljazeera] Apartheid is alive and well and thriving in occupied Palestine.

Palestinians know this. South Africans know this. Many Israelis have accepted this as part of their political debate. Americans are coming to terms with this, with new voices in Congress and NGOs like Jewish Voice for Peace unafraid of speaking this truth.

Only in Europe is there a steadfast denial of Israeli apartheid over Palestinians despite overwhelming evidence underlining it.

Israel's restrictions on freedom of movement in the occupied Palestinian territory are a resurrection of South Africa's hated pass laws, which criminalised black South Africans without a permit or pass to be in a "white" city. Israel's policy of forcible population removals and destruction of homes resembles the relocation of black people from areas zoned for exclusive white occupation in apartheid South Africa.

The Israeli security forces engage in torture and brutality exceeding the worst practices of the South African security apparatus. And the humiliation of black people that was a feature of apartheid in South Africa is replicated in occupied Palestine.

Racist rhetoric in the Israeli public debate offends even those familiar with the language of apartheid South Africa. The crude racist advertising that characterised campaigning in Israel's recent elections was unknown in South Africa.

Of course, there are differences that arise from the different histories, religions, geography and demography, but both cases fit the universal definition of apartheid. In international law, apartheid is a state-sanctioned regime of institutionalised and legalised racial discrimination and oppression by one hegemonic racial group against another.

Another line they cut into: Illegals get free public housing as impoverished Americans wait
[American Thinker] Want some perspective on why so many blue sanctuary cities have so many homeless encampments hovering around?

Try the reality that illegal immigrants are routinely given free public housing by the U.S., based on the fact that they are uneducated, unskilled, and largely unemployable. Those are the criteria, and now importing poverty has never been easier. Shockingly, this comes as millions of poor Americans are out in the cold awaiting that housing that the original law was intended to help.

Thus, the tent cities, and by coincidence, the worst of these emerging shantytowns are in blue sanctuary cities loaded with illegal immigrants - Orange County, San Francisco, San Diego, Seattle, New York...Is there a connection? At a minimum, it's worth looking at.

The Trump administration's Department of Housing and Urban Development is finally trying to put a stop to it as 1.5 million illegals prepare to enter the U.S. this year, and one can only wonder why they didn't do it yesterday.

According to a report in the Washington Times:

#3  As much as I oppose illegal immigration, we have a homeless problem because we do not enforce our vagrancy laws. My understanding is that some judge blocked said enforcement because municipalities don't provide enough "affordable housing".

Affordable housing is a phrase that triggers me in the worst way. In San Diego, in most if not all of San Diego County, affordable housing is impossible unless the definition of affordable is stretched beyond all recognition. The minute this county's property taxes are imposed, affordability flies out the window. Besides that, the people that you see sleeping in tents on sidewalks, in river valleys and under bridges will never be able to afford anything more than a bottle of cheap wine, cigarettes or a hit of meth. They are simply no damn good for anything else. And so, we are told, we must tolerate their urine and feces and used needles in the streets, their diseases, their panhandling and the trash they strew about their little encampments.

Illegal immigrants may be uneducated and unskilled but they are motivated and they will work. That doesn't mean I believe we should provide housing for them. California's politicians chant "affordable housing" like some kind of a mantra. Their solution is to turn this whole state into a slum. They think everybody in the whole wide world who wants to live here should be able to do so and that those of us who already live here should be happy to sacrifice our quality of life to enable them. Bullshit. Coastal California is prime real estate. It was never meant for people who are too lazy and/or stupid to buy into it. If you want to live here you must work hard and work smart. You must compete for the kind of a job that will allow you to pay for it. Nobody, not the government or anybody else, owes it to you.

There is plenty of room out in the desert for affordable housing.

The Bombshell In The Mueller Report Is Russia's Social Media Campaign
[The Federalist] It’s over. The Mueller Report is upon us and it says what Attorney General William Barr said it would say. Nobody in the Trump campaign‐in fact, no American citizen at all‐colluded or conspired with the Russian government to impact the 2016 election. This is obviously good news for the country and a vindication for the president who has protested his innocence quite vociferously from the beginning.

But the findings of the report were not unalloyed good news. In one area, in particular, Mueller found deeply troubling activities from the Russians. The section on Russia’s informational campaign using social media to influence the election is damning and shocking. Much of the information it presents was already known, but seen summarized by Mueller, what they achieved was astounding.

Conducted by the Internet Research Agency (IRA), a Russian government-backed social media troll farm, the extent and reach of the operations is astounding. Collectively, the report says, "The IRA’s social media accounts reached 10s of millions of US persons." It also controlled Facebook groups such as "United Muslims of America," that had 300,000 followers when it was shut down in 2017.

In total the report says that at least 29 million and perhaps as many as 126 million people were reached by the propaganda campaigns. The danger of this is not merely that the propaganda might help determine the outcome of viewers’ voting decisions. What is far worse is that, on that scale, the Russians can make fringe, divisive positions and rhetoric appear to Americans to be, if not mainstream, at least vastly more prominent than they really are.

Even the news media was not immune to these efforts. The report outlines that on multiple occasions "U.S. media outlets also quoted tweets from IRA-controlled accounts and attributed them to the reactions of real U.S. persons." It is very possible, if not likely that the real target of the IRA was not to sway an election, but rather to sow discord and distrust among Americans. And it looks like the news media was an unwitting accomplice.

U.S. Intelligence Institutionally Politicized Toward Democrats
[Free Beacon] The CIA and other U.S. intelligence agencies have become bastions of political liberals and the pro-Democratic Party views of intelligence personnel have increased under President Donald Trump, according to a journal article by a former CIA analyst.

John Gentry, who spent 12 years as a CIA analyst, criticized former senior intelligence leaders, including CIA Director John Brenan, Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, and former deputy CIA director Michael Morell, along with former analyst Paul Pillar, for breaking decades-long prohibitions of publicly airing their liberal political views in attacking Trump.

The institutional bias outlined in a lengthy article in the quarterly International Journal of Intelligence and Counterintelligence risks undermining the role of intelligence in support of government leaders charged with making policy decisions.

Gentry stopped short of saying the widespread liberal bias of intelligence officials has influenced intelligence reports and products. However, he concludes that "bias may have crept into CIA analyses."

"A considerable body of evidence, much of it fragmentary, indicates that many CIA people have left-leaning political preferences, but less evidence shows that political bias influences CIA analyses," Gentry concludes.

#2  The intelligence community has been heavily progressive/socialist/pro-communist since the days of the OSS. This was partially because the big target at the time was Nazi Germany.

In addition the Communists placed great emphasis on infiltrating Western intelligence agencies. After the cold war, we were amazed at how far the KGB had penetrated.

I have often said that if we had to depend on the CIA to keep us free during the Cold War, we would all be speaking Russian today.

If we were to disband the CIA, all the inhabitants would scurry off to jobs elsewhere, probably in the government, and continue to do their bumbling worst. The two alternatives appear to either keep the CIA intact so we can keep an eye on them, or herd them all into a pen and shoot them.

James Clapper: Mueller Report ‘Devastating,' ‘Road Map' for Impeachment
[Breitbart] Appearing Thursday on CNN’s Cuomo Prime Time, former Director of National Intelligence (DNI) James Clapper said special counsel Robert Mueller’s report is "devastating" and provides a "road map" for impeachment of President Donald Trump despite exonerating him of criminal conspiracy with Russia.

CHRIS CUOMO: First of all, your take on how the AG has handled this process culminating today?

JAMES CLAPPER:
Well, to be honest Chris, I’m a bit disappointed. I think the Attorney General is clearly trying to paint as favorable a light on the Mueller report as possible and when you read it, it’s pretty devastating. I’ll tell you though, the big deal for me in this is laying out in very rich detail the magnitude and pervasiveness of the Russia interference in our election in 2016. And it’s personally gratifying because the intelligence community’s assessment that we rendered on January 6th of 2017, briefed President-elect Trump on about the Russia interference. But this report, we only scratched the surface and I hope Americans will take the time to read that, the collusion, obstruction aside. The big deal to me is the magnitude of the Russian interference. No one can say they didn’t interfere and, in fact, taint the election.

Top House Dem Tosses Lifeline To Trump On Mueller Report Day
[TALKINGPOINTSMEMO] House Majority Leader the mealy-mouthed Steny StinkyHoyer
... Nancy San Fran Nan Pelosi's second banana, or plaintain, or mango, or whatever he is...
(D-MD) said Thursday that nothing in the 400-plus page special counsel report changes his impression that Democrats should move forward with impeachment proceedings against President Trump.

"Based on what we have seen to date, going forward on impeachment is not worthwhile at this point," Hoyer told CNN. "Very frankly, there is an election in 18 months and the American people will make a judgment."

Robert Mueller’s painstakingly detailed document concludes that there was insufficient evidence to determine that Trump collaborated with Russia to swing the 2016 election, and that he cannot say, given existing Justice Department guidelines on indicting a sitting president, whether Trump obstructed justice.

But the report is rife with damning evidence about Trump’s abuse of the powers of his office. Countless advisers were asked to derail, obfuscate or end the Russia investigation, but refused Trump’s orders.

Hoyer’s remarks sparked instant backlash among prominent Democratic commentators. Ex-Obama aide Jon Favreau called the remark "unbelievably disappointing." Adam Jentleson, former chief of staff to ex-Sen. Harry Reid
... the charismatic now retired senator-for-life from Nevada, formerly majority leader, who was beaten to within an inch of his life by a treadmill ...
(D-NV), said it was "an abdication of Congress’ oversight responsibility" not to pursue impeachment proceedings in the wake of the report.

A PLO position paper packed with lies confirms there’s no partner for peace
[IsraelTimes] On the eve of the Israeli elections, the "PLO Committee for Interaction with Israeli Society" published a relatively detailed position paper in Hebrew, aiming to explain the organization’s positions regarding relations with Israel and its points of contention with Israel. It seems that the timing had to do with the Paleostinians’ frustration with the marginalization of Israeli-Paleostinian relations within the Israeli pre-election discourse. This marginalization seems to reflect the growing trend in Israeli politics that perceives no Paleostinian partner for serious peace negotiations. Another possible reason for the timing is the forthcoming publication of the US peace plan.

Two main themes stand out in the 37-page paper. First, it states that the Paleostinian leadership under the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas
... a graduate of the prestigious unaccredited Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow with a doctorate in Holocaust Denial...
is a serious partner for negotiations. Second, the blame for the failure of the grinding of the peace processor is laid at the door of the Israeli and US governments, with an emphasis on the administrations led by Netanyahu and President Trump respectively.

Syrian Army suffers heavy casualties after ISIS carries out another ambush near Palmyra
[ALMASDARNEWS] For the third time in the last two weeks, the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(ISIS/ISIS/IS/ISIS) has carried out a bushwhack against the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in eastern Syria.

According to a military source near the ancient city of Palmyra (Tadmur), the Islamic State ambushed a Syrian Arab Army unit in the small town of al-Kawm, which is north of al-Sukhnah.

The source said the Syrian military suffered more than ten casualties as a result of the Islamic State ambush.

During the attack, ISIS managed to capture 2 vehicles and a large amount of weapons before they retreated back toward the Syrian desert.

The Islamic State has recently increased their activity in the eastern part of Syria, using their sleeper cells to wreak havoc on both the Syrian Arab Army and Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

In response to these ambushes, the Syrian Arab Army has sent reinforcements to the Iraqi border in a bid to secure the international highway that goes through the cities of Albukamal and al-Qa’im (Iraqi city).

A source from the Syrian Arab Army in Damascus said that they are working with the Iraqi authorities to reopen the international highway before the end of the month.

Syrian Army sends large convoy of reinforcements to Iraqi border as they prepare to reopen international highway
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Syrian Arab Army sent a large convoy of reinforcements to the Iraqi border on Wednesday, a source from the military told al-Masdar News this afternoon.

According to the military source, the Syrian Arab Army reinforcements were deployed to the highway near the T-2 Pumping Station in rural Deir Ezzor.

The source said that the reinforcements were sent to this area to ensure the safety of the international highway as they prepare to reopen this imperative roadway that links the Syrian and Iraqi capitals.

This move also coincides with the recent deployment of Hashd al-Sha’abi reinforcements to the Syrian border with the al-Anbar Governorate.

The Syrian government is hoping to reopen the international highway before month’s end as this roadway will boost their trade and commerce with Iraq.

Furthermore, this will also give Iran the ability to transport supplies to the Syrian military and government from neighboring Iraq.

Sudan's military rulers say two of Bashir's brothers arrested
[AlAhram] Sudan’s military rulers said on Wednesday that two brothers of ousted President Omar al-Bashir
Head of the National Congress Party. He came to power in 1989 when he, as a brigadier in the Sudanese army, led a group of officers in a bloodless military coup that ousted the government of Prime Minister Sadiq al-Mahdi and eventually appointed himself president-for-life. He has fallen out with his Islamic mentor, Hasan al-Turabi, tried to impose shariah on the Christian and animist south, resulting in its secessesion, and attempted to Arabize Darfur by unleashing the barbaric Janjaweed on it. Sudan's potential prosperity has been pissed away in warfare that has left as many as 400,000 people dead and 2.5 million displaced. Omar has been indicted for genocide by the International Criminal Court but nothing is expected to come of it.

IDF general vows to destroy Syrian S-300 systems if used against Israeli warplanes
“Go ahead — turn ‘em on. I double dog dare ya!” quoth the general, arrayed in all his army green glory.
[MOBILE.ALMASDARNEWS] The commander of the Israeli Defense Forces’ (IDF) Northern Command, General Yoel Strick, sat down for an interview with Ynet News this week to discuss the situations in Leb and Syria.

The IDF commander said if Hezbollah launched any cross-border attacks in Israel that his forces would make Leb pay dearly.

He said it would be a mistake to think that Leb would be spared in a war between Hezbollah and the Israeli Defense Forces.

The commander of the IDF’s Northern Command was then asked about Hezbollah’s tunnels near the Israeli border.

Strick said that he is not sure if they are all destroyed, but hopes they will not be able to replicate them.

"In my profession, there is no certainty, so I will say as far as I am aware ‐ with the means available to us I can say with a high degree of confidence that the threat from attack tunnels has been removed. Can they be developed again? I hope not," Strick said.

In regards to Syria, the IDF general vowed to destroy the Syrian military’s S-300 systems if they were used on an Israeli warplane.

"We will introduce advanced weapons systems into the area but Israel has an excellent air force. I will not go into detail of our options, but if the Syrians employ Russian S-300s against our planes, and we take them out, it will be seen as a legitimate move on our part. I see that happening though I hope we don’t get to that. But if our freedom of movement is threatened we will remove the threat. We know how to do that," he added.

Chinese radar system destroyed by Israel has been restored by the Syrian Army
“Hey, Yossi — ready to up your score? They’ve set up another round of pins for your ‘bowling ball’ to knock down, and Omri over in unit B thinks he might actually beat you this time.”
[ALMASDARNEWS] The JY-27 ’Wide Mat’ long-range early warning radar which was reported destroyed during the 20 January Israeli Air Force strike on the Damascus airport has been successfully restored, the Sina news portal has reported, citing fresh satellite photos of the airport and the surrounding area.

According to the portal, media reportsabout the destruction of the JY-27 were premature, since the strike appeared to have destroyed only the JY-27’s antenna, not its transmitter, with Syrian air defence troops able to simply replace the antenna with a spare and turn the system back on. "Otherwise, it would be much more difficult to redeploy the radar," Sina indicated.

Sina suggested that Israel targeted the radar system repeatedly for its "good anti-stealth capability", including its alleged ability to detect IAF F-35s.
Ultimately, the portal indicated that Syria may strengthen defences around the Damascus airport by deploying its newly-received S-300 missile systems in the area, combining these with Syria’s existing stock of SA-11 and Pantsir-S1 air defences, creating a relatively large "challenge" for the IAF.

US-backed commander vows to capture Afrin and Idlib from Turkey
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the U.S.-backer Jaish al-Thuwar(al-Thewar Army) faction, Ahmad al-Sultan (AKA Abu Arraj) told ANHA this week that The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
’s position in Syria both "difficult and shameful".

Al-Sultan said that Turkey is between a rock and a hard place regarding the acquisition of Russia’s S-400, pointing out that if they do receive them, they will cause a great deal of turmoil with their NATO
...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. Originally it was a mutual defense pact directed against an expansionist Soviet Union. In later years it evolved into a mechanism for picking the American pocket while criticizing the cut of the American pants...
partners, most notably the United States.

The Jaish al-Thuwar commander also criticized Turkey’s role in Idlib, which he described as disastrous because of the ongoing conflicts between their allied rebel groups and the Syrian Armed Forces.

"Idlib’s southern countryside has been destroyed by aircraft, the Syrian regime, and the modern weapons that Russia is testing in that region," al-Sultan claimed.

He claimed that if the Syrian military were to attack Idlib, it would cause a humanitarian disaster with over one million people fleeing the Syrian governorate.

The Jaish al-Thuwar commander would conclude by renewing his pledge to retake Afrin from the Ottoman Turkish Armed Forces and their allies, and then go to Idlib and clear the governorate as well.

The commander concluded by pledging to "walk on their approach until the liberation of the city of Afrin from the Ottoman Turkish occupation and to go to the province of Idlib."

Iraq
Mosul prison using torture to extract ISIS affiliation confessions: HRW
[Rudaw] Iraqi authorities have ignored repeated requests by Human Rights Watch (HRW) to investigate "credible" allegations of torture, including flogging, at a detention facility in the northern city of djinn-infested Mosul
... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn...
, the New York-based watchdog said Thursday.

The damning allegations come after the Iraqi government told western countries it is prepared to try hundreds of foreign ISIS fighters through its justice system in return for billions of dollars, despite serious concerns over corruption and due process.

The watchdog raised the alarm about torture potentially taking place at three facilities under ministry of interior control in Mosul in August 2018. However,
there is a theory which states that if ever anybody discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened...
researchers found the alleged abuses had continued into the early months of 2019.

The government of Iraqi Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi has not provided answers, HRW said.

"Prime Minister Abdul-Mahdi’s government should demonstrate to the Iraqi people that it is serious about ending torture in Iraq’s detention facilities," Lama Fakih, HRW deputy Middle East director, said in a statement.
Some paragraphs detailing tortures can be read at the link, for those interested in such things.

CNN: 'God Allowed The Mueller Report To Test Our Unshakable Faith In Collusion'
[Babylon Bee - Satire for....nevermimd] ATLANTA, GA‐Anchors at CNN headquarters have made a bold statement of unwavering faith after the Mueller Report revealed no actual evidence that Trump colluded with Russia. "We believe in collusion with all our hearts and will never let the world's teachings get in the way of that," said Jim Acosta while mumbling mantras quietly in a room misty with burning incense.

"If God allowed this report to be written in the manner that it was, He did so to test our unshakable faith in what we know to be true," said Anderson Cooper.

"We believe in the one true Russian collusion, the one that was spoken into truth and made real far before any evidence was brought before this dark world," added Natalie Allen.

All of the anchors began to speak in unison, reciting their statement of faith with eye closed and hands raised:

We believe the true Mueller Report, regardless of the one released by men.

We believe that there is collusion, eternally existent in the person of Trump and the country of Russia.

We believe in the infallibility of the media, sinless, miraculous. We will redeem humankind.

We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, collusion is absolutely essential.

We believe in the collusion of Trump and Russia. All statements and evidence that purports to contradict that truth are lies of the Dark Lord.

Forever and ever, amen.

The anchors then began speaking in tongues and weeping while tearing at their garments.

Reporters fled after Acosta got out the poisonous snakes.

Brother of Toulouse killer given 30 years for aiding Jewish school attack
[IsraelTimes] Abdelkader Merah found to have helped in 2012 terror spree in which soldiers, rabbi and three children were killed; prosecution had requested life term.

A Gay Paree appeal court on Thursday handed a 30-year jail term to Abdelkader Merah,
...known in the neighbourhood as “Bin Laden”, Abdelkader and his younger brother Mohammed walked the common path from petty crime to prison to jihad. Sister Souad and her four children fled to ISIS in Syria after Mohammed got himself killed...
brother of a French jihadist who rubbed out seven people, finding him guilty of being an accomplice in the 2012 murders.

The verdict was received in silence in the courtroom, before sobs broke out among the victim’s relatives in the public gallery.

Merah, 36, had in 2017 been tossed in the calaboose
Don't shoot, coppers! I'm comin' out!
for 20 years being part of a terrorist conspiracy but had been cleared, by the lower court, of having a direct hand in his brother’s shooting spree.

The appeal court decision, reached after 12 hours of deliberations, the 30-year term falling short of the prosecution’s request for a life term for Merah.

His brother Mohammed Merah
...the Algerian-French "lone wolf" who trained in Pakistan with Jund al-Khilafah" (Army of the Caliph), linked to a Belgian jihadi network and Al Qaeda in North Africa. Quite possibly Md. was a French informant before going on an 8-day killing spree that ended with his dramatic death in a shootout with French police...
killed three soldiers in March 2012 before turning his sights on a Jewish school in Toulouse
...lies on the banks of the River Garonne, half-way between the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. The Toulouse metropolitan area is the fourth-largest in La Belle France...
, where he bumped off a rabbi, two of the rabbi’s children, aged three and five, and an eight-year-old girl.

The attack was the deadliest on Jews in La Belle France in three decades and marked the advent of a new threat from French-born turbans goaded by foreign terror groups to strike their homeland.

Mohammed Merah was killed by police after a 32-hour siege at his home, three days after the school assault.

The trial of Merah’s older brother and mentor Abdelkader was the first in connection with a string of attacks that have claimed the lives of over 240 people in La Belle France in recent years.

The appeal court also reduced the sentence of Fettah Malki, a friend of the Merah brothers, from 14 to 10 years, found guilty of associating with known criminals, rather than the greater crime of terrorist conspiracy.

It was Malki who supplied Mohammed Merah with a machine gun and a bullet-proof vest was also convicted of a terrorist conspiracy.

Is ISIS winning hearts and minds in Iraq’s Makhmour?
[Rudaw] Months of heavy rain have turned the normally arid plains of Qarachogh a verdant green. In this hotly disputed territory of northern Iraq, the increasingly brazen presence of bearded button men in the hills suggests the bad boy threat once thought defeated is also growing back anew.

An hour and a half’s drive southwest of Erbil is the last Peshmerga checkpoint before travelers enter a vast no man’s land ‐ one of several disputed areas that opened up between Kurdish and federal government lines when the two sides clashed in October 2017.

These ungoverned spaces, awash with rival armies and militias competing for supremacy, have left fertile ground for Iraq’s next insurgency to thrive and the resurgence of the Islamic State

Lebanese PM Saad Hariri heads to Saudi Arabia for first time since 2017 debacle
[ALMASDARNEWS] Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri
Second son of Rafik Hariri, the Leb PM who was assassinated in 2005. He has was prime minister in his own right from 2009 through early 2011. He was born in Riyadh to an Iraqi mother and graduated from Georgetown University. He managed his father's business interests in Riyadh until his father's assassination. When his father died he inherited a fortune of some $4.1 billion, which won't do him much good if Hizbullah has him bumped off, too.
is on the way to Riyadh this afternoon for a meeting with several Saudi officials, the premier’s office said on Thursday.

Hariri will be meeting with several high ranking Saudi officials, including Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman.

This will be Hariri’s first official visit to Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
since he was summoned to Riyadh in 2017.

While the details from that debacle are still not clear, it was rumored that Hariri was forced to stay in Riyadh against his will and then release a statement after several world leaders expressed concern over his well-being.

Hariri temporarily resigned from his post as Prime Minister during his time in Riyadh; he would later retain the premiership once he returned to Beirut.

Turkey Freezes Assets of Senior Yemeni Huthi Militias
[AnNahar] The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...Qatar's colony in Asia Minor....
has frozen assets of three senior Yemeni Huthi militia leaders in line with UN Security Council sanctions against the rebels, the state's official gazette said on Thursday.

The UN imposed sanctions in 2014 on the Huthi leadership and then Yemeni president former President-for-Life Ali Abdullah Saleh
... Saleh initially took power as a strongman of North Yemen in 1977, when disco was in flower, but he didn't invite Donna Summer to the inauguration and Blondie couldn't make it...
, who was forced out in 2012 and blacklisted for obstructing peace by later backing the Shiite militia after it seized power in Sanaa.

Ankara has in the past targeted assets of Saleh and his son, in line with UN sanctions against the ousted strongman who was assassinated two years ago.

The official gazette said the new sanctions targeted Huthi leader Abdulmalek al-Houthi
...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The Yemeni government has accused the Houthis of having ties to the Iranian government, which wouldn't suprise most of us. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews ...
and two military commanders Abd al-Khaliq al-Houthi and Abdullah Yahya al-Hakim.

It also listed Saleh and his son Ahmed Ali Abdullah Saleh.

Assets belonging to Saleh and his son in Ottoman Turkish banks and other financial institutions were already temporarily frozen more than two years ago.

Saleh amassed between $32 billion and $60 billion (28 billion euros and 53 billion euros) through corruption and stashed assets in at least 20 countries during his 33 years in power, according to a UN report.

Islamic State cites 69 casualties from Nigerian army and African troops

They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(IS) has recorded 69 casualties from the Nigerian Army and troops from an African anti-militant force in attacks over the past week, the Jihadist group said in its weekly paper on Thursday.

Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), which split from Nigeria-based Boko Haram
... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality...
in 2016, has carried out a series of attacks in the last few months.

In its newspaper al-Nabaa, IS said its fighters killed a number of African coalition soldiers in attacks on a military barracks, a military post and a town in northeastern Borno state and the Lake Chad region.

It said its fighters detonated explosives on Saturday on a tank of the African alliance near the town of Tomer in Niger, killing all soldiers on board. ISIS did not specify the number killed.

The Death Eaters said over the past week troops from Nigerian and Cameroon
...a long, narrow country that fills the space between Nigeria and Chad on the northeast, CAR to the southeast. Prior to incursions by Boko Haram nothing ever happened there...
were either killed or injured, without providing details.

A Nigerian military front man could not immediately be reached for comment.

Boko Haram has waged a decade-long insurgency in northeast Nigeria
... a particularly crimson stretch of Islam's bloody border...
which has killed around 30,000 people and forced about 2 million to leave their homes.

First time ever The Islamic State claims an attack in Congo
[TWITTER]
The Jerusalem Post adds:
Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
claimed its first attack in Congo on Thursday, and declared it the "Central Africa Province" of the "Caliphate," after two Congolese soldiers and a civilian were killed in a shootout.

The three died in festivities on Tuesday in Bovata, near the town of Beni, a source at the U.N. peacekeeping mission and a civil society leader told Rooters. The town and the surrounding area have been simultaneously beset by militia violence and an Ebola epidemic.
An epidemic, too?
It was not possible to independently verify Islamic State's claim, made through its Amaq news agency. There are more than a dozen different militia groups and criminal outfits operating in this area of eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo
...formerly the Congo Free State, Belgian Congo, Zaire, and who knows what else, not to be confused with the Brazzaville Congo aka Republic of Congo, which is much smaller and much more (for Africa) stable. DRC gave the world Patrice Lumumba and Joseph Mobutu, followed by years of tedious civil war. Its principle industry seems to be the production of corpses. With a population of about 74 million it has lots of raw material...
. IS also claimed a higher toll of five soldiers killed and three maimed.

The U.N. source and a local civil society leader, David Moaze, said witnesses at the scene of the attack had blamed an Islamist group called the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF), which may have links to Islamic State.

A report by New York University's Congo Research Group and the Bridgeway Foundation in November said the ADF had received money from a financier linked to Islamic State, suggesting tentative ties between the Congo turbans and other jihadists in Africa and beyond.

Keen to woo anti-terrorist support from Western powers, Congolese authorities have blamed the ADF for a series of massacres in the last two years in the east of the country, usually without producing any evidence that it was them.

Rival militia groups control parts of eastern Congo, long after the official end of a 1998-2003 war in which millions of people died.

Iran says its armed forces are not a regional threat
[UK.REUTERS] President Hassan Rouhani said Iran’s armed forces did not pose a threat to its neighbours as he addressed a display on Thursday of Iran’s latest military equipment, including domestically produced fighter jets and Russian-made missile systems.

The parade to mark Army Day came as U.S. President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
pursues his drive to contain Iran’s power in the Middle East by means of sanctions.

Thousands of soldiers marched past Rouhani and top military commanders at the parade in Tehran marking Army Day while new Iranian-built fighter jets flew overhead.

Iran also showed off missiles, submarines, armoured vehicles, radars and its Russian-supplied S-300 defence system that can take down aircraft and missiles in the sky.

"I want to tell the regional countries that the armed forces of the Islamic Theocratic Republic of Iran are not against you and your national interests. They stand against invaders... The roots of our problems are the Zionist regime and American imperialism," Rouhani said.

He also said Iran sought "regional security and stability".

Army announces 9-day closure of West Bank, Gaza for Passover holiday
[IsraelTimes] Checkpoints, crossings to remain shuttered from Friday morning until next Saturday, except for humanitarian and other special cases.
So hopefully there won’t be any news from Israel over the holiday.
The closure will affect the tens of thousands of Paleostinians who legally work in Israel every day, most of them in construction and maintenance.

Israeli citizens will still be permitted to move between the West Bank and Israel.

Closures for Jewish and Israeli holidays are a routine procedure, intended both to prevent terror attack attempts in Israel during the holiday period and to allow Israeli security officials, who operate the crossings, to celebrate the festival.

Assad family cash frozen after dictator's niece found living in London
[STANDARD.CO.UK] Britannia's top law enforcement body has launched an attempt to seize thousands of pounds of suspected illicit cash from the niece of Syria’s president Bashar al Assad after discovering that she has been living and studying in London.

Anisseh Chawkat, whose late father Assef was a feared security chief killed in a suicide kaboom, has completed a degree in spatial design at the University of the Arts London and is still living in the capital despite members of her family being subject to international sanctions.

Her bank account, understood to contain just under £25,000, has now been frozen so the National Crime Agency can seek a cash forfeiture order that would allow it to seize the money.

Syrians will be surprised at the presence in London of a relative of the dictator, pictured, and will likely raise questions about how she was able to obtain a visa and fund herself.

Details emerged during a preliminary hearing of the case at Westminster magistrates’ court. It was adjourned until later this year after the court was told that Ms Chawkat, 22, would be contesting the application to seize her money.

No further details were given, but the NCA said its case was based on the fact that Ms Chawkat, whose final-year degree project was on "the bond between fashion and architecture" at Selfridges’ Oxford Street store, had no legitimate source of income in the UK and had family members who were on the international financial sanctions list.

Rotherham peer Lord Ahmed charged with fourth child sex offence
[Rotherham Advertiser] ROTHERHAM peer Lord Nazir Ahmed has appeared at court — alongside his two brothers — charged with a fourth historical child sex offence.

The peer faced the further allegation of buggery against a boy under 11 when he appeared at Sheffield Crown Court yesterday (Wednesday).

Ahmed, of East Bawtry Road, Rotherham, appeared at the lower court last month charged with indecently assaulting the boy and two counts of attempted rape against a girl aged under 16 in the early 1970s.

The former Labour politician would have been aged between 14 to 17 when the alleged abuse took place against the two complainants.

No pleas have been formally entered but Ahmed’s solicitor told reporters at last month’s hearing outside Sheffield Magistrates' Court “he will be doing everything he can in order to prove his innocence”.

His brothers (below L-R Tariq and Farouq) have denied sexually abusing the same boy between 1968 to 1972.

Iraq
Iraqi Army receives new batch of Russian T-90 tanks
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Iraqi Armed Forces have reportedly received a new batch of T-90 tanks from the Russian military, Iraqi News reported on Wednesday.

Citing the commander of the 9th Armored Division’s commander Major General Walid Khalifa’s interview with the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) on Tuesday, Iraqi News reported that the Iraqi Ministry of Defense received their fourth batch of Russian-made T-90 tanks.

The Iraqi military will begin using the tanks once they complete training, the Iraqi News report added.

Iraq first agreed to receive the T-90 tank in 2017 after seeing the Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) success on the battlefield.

Speaking to Sputnik, Russian military expert Viktor Murakhovsky recalled that "the conditions of Iraq and Syria are desert and semi-desert areas and a long range of open spaces."

"The T-90 is already successfully using guided missiles launched through the barrel; in this regard, a high-precision missile with a range of up to five kilometers can be described as a sort of [the T-90’s] ’high-precision hand’," Murakhovsky said.

Iranian commander claims Iran is among top 5 drone powers in the world
Yes, yes it’s is just as you say, O noble Lion of Shiism.
[ALMASDARNEWS] An Iranian military commander said on Thursday that the Islamic Theocratic Republic is one of the top 5 drone powers in the world.

"Today, thanks to the blessings of the Islamic Revolution, we enjoy indigenized production lines and technology to use drones. Actually, we have reached the peaks and a high degree in production of the UAVs," Commander of the Army Ground Force’s Drone Unit General Shahram Hassannejad told FNA.

"Based on official sources, the Islamic Iran is standing among the 5 advanced world states in production of drones," he added.

Iran has recently made major advancements in their aerospace industries, especially in designing and manufacturing death droids.

Kaman-12, the first home-made wide-body drone with a jet engine, was unveiled in late January in an exhibition held by Armed Forces in Tehran.

Also, in March, Commander of the Iranian Air Force Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh and Vice-President for Science and Technology Sorena Sattari officially opened the mass-production lines of Kaman-12 Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV).

During the Thursday ceremony, also the first aeronautical center, equipped with laser technology of Launch Services Program (LSP), was inaugurated in Army Aerospace Force Self Sufficiency Jihad Organization (ASF SSJO).

Iranian experts have omitted hydraulic system in the plane and replaced it with electromechanical operators.

The drone is able to send information obtained by sensors to the automatic pilot system and uses INS/GPS navigation system. The Iranian-made plane also enjoys capabilities to send high-quality images to the earth.

The J33 engine has also been replaced with J85 engine which is more powerful and displayed more proper operational capabilities.

USAID told NPR in a statement that it was not planning on closing the West Bank and Gazoo mission completely.

Iraqi court frees French ISIS suspect it says went to Syria to ‘help Yezidis’
[Rudaw] Iraq’s terror court has released one of the French Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(ISIS) suspects captured in Syria it had pledged to prosecute in a landmark deal that appeared to resolve the legal conundrum Western power faced with respect to their nationals who allegedly joined the hard boy group.

The unnamed suspect was released by the Karkh Investigative Court, which is specialized in terror cases, "due to lack of evidence," the Supreme Judicial Council announced on Thursday.

"The investigation of him continued for three months and it was proven that he had illegally entered into Syrian territory," the council stated.

In the investigation, they also found that "his military contribution to any military operation wasn't proven and his entry was to help the cause of the Yezidis triumph."

The judicial council does not indicate how the investigation was conducted and what evidence was found that led them to their conclusion.

Vian Dakhil, a Yezidi and former member of the Iraqi parliament, reacted to the announced release of the Frenchie, tweeting that she had many questions about the case.

"We don’t know how and what he was doing with them. A journalist? NGOs? Just there watching the battles?" she asked. "I hope not all the ISIS members come out innocent. forbid."

ISIS committed genocide against the Yezidis, killing thousands of men and older persons when they swept across northern Iraq in 2014. The jihadists kidnapped and enslaved more than 6,000 Yezidi women and kiddies. The fates of 2,992 of them are still unknown, according to the most recent figures from the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG)’s office of Yezidi affairs. The Iraqi government, with the support of the United Nations
...a formerly good idea gone bad...
, has begun exhuming mass graves believed to hold the remains of hundreds of Yezidis executed by ISIS.

holy warrior to death by hanging over his involvement in several sniper attacks in the country.

The Central Criminal Court in Baghdad handed the Islamic State holy warrior the death penalty
for shooting dead several security forces and members of the Popular Mobilization Forces in sniper attacks in Nineveh province, Baghdad Today website quoted the Supreme Judicial Council media center as saying in a press statement on Thursday.

The Islamic State "terrorist admitted belonging to the Islamic State group and standing behind the killing of several security personnel," said the statement.

Iraqi courts have sentenced many of Islamic State members, including a big number of female members, to death over joining the holy warrior group.

The exact number of detained holy warriors is still unknown, however, it’s estimated to be at thousands. It’s also unclear how many members are likely to face death sentences.
