The FBI Finally Makes Peter Strzok Redundant
Finally got around to it, did they? At a minimum, I hope this smirking jagoff loses his pension.
[Fox News] - FBI official Peter Strzok, who played a lead role in both the Russian meddling and Hillary Clinton email probes but became a political lightning rod after the revelation of anti-Trump text messages, has been fired.

Strzok attorney Aitan Goelman said in a statement Monday that his client, a 21-year FBI veteran, was fired Friday afternoon, claiming this was a departure from standard practice and politically motivated. Goelman said the bureau’s deputy director "overruled" the FBI's Office of Professional Responsibility.

"This decision should be deeply troubling to all Americans," the attorney said.
Not this one.

“Lisa is on a warpath,” one former colleague said. “She is not done either.”

Fired FBI leaders Andrew McCabe, James Comey and other current FBI leaders like Bill Priestap could be on deck, according to officials familiar with Page’s congressional testimony in hearings and private sessions with her attorney.

Strzok, FBI sources said, is the target of several investigations.

NBC Ignores Own Reporter and Crew Assaulted By Antifa in Charlottesville
On the one-year anniversary of the deadly Charlottesville protests, white supremacists and radical leftists known as Antifa descended on the Virginia town once more to commit more violence. Late Saturday night, NBC News reporter Cal Perry and his crew were in the thick of it as Antifa members ganged up on them and attacked. The next morning, NBC’s Sunday Today ignored the attack and suggested the media was simply "heckled" by their assaulters.
Of course we can expect this same standard to be used in all future instances of "heckling", too. Such as when CNN Jim "Crybaby" Acosta was put in the hospital by the words of some folks at a Trump rally recently.
On Twitter, Perry was documenting the protesters as they marched through the streets of college town when they started to get "very aggressive with the media" and trying to block their camera shots. "Yeah. We’re getting a lot of this. Protesters trying to grab our camera," he responded to one Twitter commenter telling him to "f**k off national media vulture."
Afraid someone will recognize you and your tactics?
Things got super-heated when one Antifa protestor shouted "F**k you, snitch a** news b**ch. F**k you" and tried to either pull the camera away from the person using it or knock it to the ground. It was unclear in the video.
Maybe someone should check your W-2s and see who pays you to do this?
Despite the video evidence on the ground from their own reporter, NBC went to Garrett Haake, who was at the White House in anticipation of violence there as another white supremacist rally was set to be held. "Overnight, tense moments in the streets of Charlottesville, Virginia, far left protesters heckling the media and chanting anti-police slogans," he suggested at the top of his report. They actually used footage Perry and his crew shot but didn't show anything from their attack.
I'm actually surprised anyone from the MSM would recognize Antifa as the far left. Let's see if they recognize the Brownshirts as such.
The assault on NBC’s reporter came almost a year since their political director, Chuck Todd used his MSNBC program, MTP Daily to elevate Antifa’s violence as a legitimate tactic against the right. He even doubled down and allowed them to use the formerly prestigious Meet the Press as a platform to push their hate and violent methods. Todd has never condemned them.
Because if he does, no more platform.
Todd appeared on Sunday Today and had nothing to say about the attack or Antifa, which had been declared a domestic terrorism group by the State of New Jersey before he had them on last year. Instead of condemning Antifa, he lambasted the President for criticizing anthem protesters and targeted his supporters as racists.
Todd, your Antifa boys are not to be equated in any way with misguided anthem protestors who are willing to show their faces and don't use violence and intimidation.
"So I don't think, if the President is, quote, ’learned anything’ I think in his mind, he has seen this is an effective political strategy to keep his base, his base," he declared about what the President had learned since last year’s violence. "That it is the president's continuation of using to be generous, dog whistles, others say they're not silent. You can hear the whistles pretty loudly."
And I think the relevant parties can hear NBC's lack of a whistle just as loudly.
It’s sad and disturbing that NBC would choose to ignore violent leftists assaulting their own employees in exchange for railing against President Trump’s voters, but this appears to be the world we live in now. The assault also came after the entire liberal media had been trying to convince the public that Trump supporters where violent ones reporters had to watch out for.
That's because Antifa is still a useful fool/tool to our socialist press. That will change one day, especially if the socialists get what they think they want.
The transcript is below:

NBC's Sunday Today
August 12, 2018
8:02 a.m. Eastern

WILLIE GEIST: Let's begin this morning with the one-year anniversary of the deadly white supremacist protest in Charlottesville and the death of Heather Haier. Demonstrations in Charlottesville during the day on Saturday were peaceful but got out offhand last night as leftist Antifa protestors lashed out at the media and police. Today a large rally is planned in Washington, D.C., with a big police presence to meet them. NBC’s Garrett Haake is there for us. Garrett good morning.

GARRETT HAAKE: Hey, good morning Willie. D.C. Police will be flooding this area later today trying to keep separate groups of white nationalists and counter-protesters, even as they converge on this small park later tonight.

[Cuts to video]

Overnight, tense moments in the streets of Charlottesville, Virginia, far left protesters heckling the media and chanting anti-police slogans. As the city rolled out a heavy police presence on the eve of its darkest day.

(...)

HAAKE: On a working vacation in New Jersey, President Trump will watch the rally on television, not from a White House window. On Saturday, Mr. Trump tweeting to preemptively "condemn all racism in violence". A stark contrast to his response to last year’s chaos in Charlottesville.

(...)

8:04:34 a.m. Eastern

GEIST: Chuck Todd is NBC's political director and moderator of Meet the Press. Chuck Good morning.

CHUCK TODD: Good Morning.

GEIST: Another extraordinary day in the presidency of Donald Trump right across the street from where he works. He’s not there today but will be this demonstration from white nationalists and probably counter-protesters as well. It comes one year after Charlottesville when the President said, of course, there were very fine people on both sides, seeming to put equivalency between the left and the racist right. Where are we a year later? I know you’re going to tackle some of this on the show. What has the President learned 12 months on?

TODD: Look, I think we are in a pretty divided place today. I think we are probably more racially polarized today than we were a year ago. And as for the President, since Charlottesville, think about the biggest fight he's picked since Charlottesville. The anthem protesters with the NFL and African-American players kneeling there.

So I don't think, if the President is, quote, "learned anything" I think in his mind, he has seen this is an effective political strategy to keep his base, his base. But I could tell you pretty much every other Republican who has to be on a ballot in 2018 believes that this is at the core of the Republican party suburban voter problem, right? That it is the president's continuation of using to be generous, dog whistles, others say they're not silent. You can hear the whistles pretty loudly. But that is sort of why the Republican Party is in this bind in 2018, where you have a slice of the party, the suburban voters, who are just uncomfortable with the Trump brand of Republicanism.

OOPS: DNC Reverses Decision To Ban Fossil Fuel Donations Just Two Months After It Was Implemented
[DailyWire] The Democratic National Committee in June quietly passed a resolution that banned fossil fuel companies from donating to the party. Now, just two months later, the DNC is reversing that decision, while claiming it's not a reversal.

The reversal, approved by a 30-2 vote, now says the DNC "support[s] fossil fuel workers" and will again accept donations from company political action committees, according to The Huffington Post. The new resolution was introduced by none other than DNC Chair Tom Perez.

The resolution states that "the inclusion of working people and their unions, representing all industries, is critical to the Democratic Party’s ability to affect change that improves the lives of workers, their families, and America’s middle class."

The resolution went on to restate the party's common line about Republicans "chipping away at workers’ rights, weakening unions, and depressing wages ‐ all while giving massive tax cuts to millionaires and billionaires." It also negatively mentioned the Supreme Court decision Janus v. AFSCME, which stopped public sector unions from being able to force non-union employees to pay dues. The DNC called the decision "disgraceful union busting."

-Lurid Crime Tales-
Omarosa Put Our Country's Security At Risk
[Townhall] On Sunday former Director of Communications for the White House Office of Public Liaison and The Apprentice reality star Omarosa Manigault revealed on NBC’s "Meet the Press" that she had recorded her dismissal conversation with White House Chief of Staff John Kelly in the Situation Room. Not only that, but she actually played a 20-second recording of the conversation.

The White House Situation Room is one of the most essential and secure places for our country’s national security. It is where our civilian leadership, intelligence services, and military plan, discuss, and implement many of our top-level defense and security actions on a day-to-day basis.

Many legal and national security experts have pointed out already that Omarosa’s actions there may very well have violated federal law and are prosecutable. Ranging widely without partisan tilt, even some of those who fiercely oppose president Trump acknowledge this is a serious national security breach.

SCIFs, standing for "Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility," are government areas where information that has security-related implications and classifications is utilized. Personnel that do not have the required clearance may under certain circumstance go into these areas under various procedures and supervision.

Perhaps a source for some of the administration leaks has been found.

New York's growing six-figure-pension club
[NY Post] The hit on New York taxpayers continues to grow, with the number of $100,000-plus retirees up 20 percent last year.

As the Empire Center reported this week, the number of six-figure pensioners in the state pension system is nearing 5,000 ‐ up 756, or 20 percent, from 3,817 in fiscal 2017. Of those, 20 rake in more than $200,000 a year; three get 300 grand-plus.

Heading the pack: Shashikant Lele, a retired doctor at the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, who pulls in $436,356 annually.

You thought government salaries were high? At least staffers are expected to work in return for their fat pay. Yet those generous paychecks drive up retirement payouts. As do the ludicrously sweet pension terms OK’d by Albany over the years.

Trouble is, someone has to pay for that largesse, and that someone is New York taxpayers. State and local taxes must go to shore up the state pension funds that send checks to retirees. And that amount has grown a frightening 2,900 percent, from $164.5 million in 2000 to $4.8 billion in 2017.

The Empire Center’s E.J. McMahon also links that spike to losses from risky investments the fund made in the hopes of higher returns ‐ in a bid "to perpetuate the illusion" the state can make the juicy pension payouts without inflicting much pain on taxpayers.

Indeed, state comptroller candidate Jonathan Trichter this week is blasting incumbent Tom DiNapoli, who oversees the retirement system, for parking money in hedge funds and private-equity assets that "underperformed" the market by $8 billion.

The high $6 billion in fees Trichter says DiNapoli paid to managers of those funds only made things worse.

Meanwhile, state and local governments are left with an ever-shrinking share of tax revenue for non-pension expenses. Average New Yorkers, that is, pay more and get less.

#1  Just as an aside, my father was a a research department head at Roswell Park, Mr. Wife started his career in the student summer research program, and my sister programmed their computers for a few years after getting her PhD, before finding a tenure track teaching position. His pension was not anything like Dr. Shashikant Lele‘s, but surgical specialists get paid a lot more to keep people alive than are researchers who kill lab animals creatively while finding treatments for the surgeons to use.

#2  Civil service originally was to pay out a modest salary with a very modest pension in return for job security. Why anyone is drawing more than the 50 percent level of working taxpaying Americans is an example of the reduction of those taxpayers to involuntary servitude by the pols favoring employee unions over their fiduciary responsibilities to the electorate.

The Ten Most Hateful Americans and Why they Matter
[American Thinker] The American Left is stoking hatred and it’s tearing us apart. Our media is guilty of not only of failing to shame those responsible, in many cases they egg them on, giving them a platform. The volume of irrational hatred spewing into our ether is extremely unhealthy, even dangerous for our republic and the broader American culture.

To be sure, there has been excessive rhetoric from the man who could well go down as the most accomplished and successful president in our history at the rate his achievements mount. But President Trump’s willingness to verbally punch back at his political enemies, sometimes crudely, pales in comparison to the level of hate being spewed out by leftists.

Our country is 242 years old. One has to wonder how it can survive much longer as the decibels of hate, particularly from the left, continue to rise almost hysterically. We’ve already had one civil war. That one cost over 600,000 lives. We don’t need another one.

At a minimum, those pumping out the hate need to be identified, shamed and shunned. This is what an active media should be doing. So who are we talking about? Here’s my list of the top 10 most vicious and dangerous haters in America today.

10. Louis Farrakhan -- Even the progressive hate group called The Southern Poverty Law Center classifies Farrakhan's virulently racist, homophobic, anti-American and anti-Semitic Nation of Islam (NOI) as a hate group and black separatist organization. As the leader of NOI, Farrakhan has preached the organization's theology that blacks are superior to whites, that whites were created 6,600 years ago as a "race of devils" by an evil black scientist named Yakub and that "white people deserve to die." Farrakhan accused Jews of being involved in the September 11 attacks. In a speech this year, Farrakhan described "the powerful Jews" as his enemy. "Now that nation called Israel never has had any peace in 40 years and she will never have any peace because there can be no peace structured on injustice, thievery, lying and deceit and using the name of God to shield your dirty religion under His holy and righteous name." That’s right, he calls the religion of Moses, who gave the world the Ten Commandments, "dirty."

[LifeNews.com] Dr. Ben Carson has a way of putting things in perspective that endears him to pro-life activists. The neurosurgeon and the author of six best-selling books makes another compelling point about the issue of abortion that is sure to have eveyone who opposes abortion concurring.

He pointed out how ancient civilizations have been criticized for the brutal practices of human sacrifice and child sacrifice ‐ but he wonders if modern society isn’t "guilty of the same thing" because we have legalized abortion.

"Well, it’s interesting that we sit around and call other ancient civilizations heathen because of human sacrifice but aren’t we actually guilty of the same thing?" said Dr. Carson in reference to a question about abortion. "The good thing is the American populace is moving closer and closer to understanding that abortion is murder. Every year we’re getting better on that regard."

#1  Sadly this is my view on Progressive Feminists. They worship human sacrifice in the form of Abortion. Read what they say, how glorious it is and great they feel about it and you can tell it's a religion with them. Anytime you call to celebrate the death of an infant, you have set yourself outside of humanity. You might be people, but you are no longer human.

Man accused of killing, eating dead ex-girlfriend deemed competent for trial
[NY Post] An Indiana man accused of raping, killing and eating parts of his ex-girlfriend’s dead body is now mentally competent to stand trial, a state psychiatrist said Thursday.

Joseph Oberhansley, 35, of Jeffersonville has been committed at the Logansport State Hospital since October, when a judge ruled that he wasn’t competent to stand trial for the 2014 killing of girlfriend Tammy Jo Blanton.

Prosecutors allege Oberhansley broke into the Jeffersonville home of Blanton in September 2014, and that he raped her, fatally stabbed her and ate parts of her body.

"This matter has been going on for four years now, and it’s high time that the victim’s family saw justice done," Clark County Prosecuting Attorney Jeremy Mull told the Courier Journal after the hearing.

The letter from the psychiatrist filed with Clark County Circuit Court noted that Oberhansley’s competency has been restored since he was committed there last October to undergo competency restoration. In some of his early court appearances after his arrest, Obserhansley had outbursts in court and said his name was Zeus, WAVE3 reported.

Capital Flight -- The Strategy Behind Trump's Sanctions
[AmericanThinker] When there is war, conflict, or instability, vulnerable human beings flee, seeking refuge in safer countries. Everyone is familiar with the plight of refugees, and the challenges refugees create for surrounding nations. People need and deserve support, and it requires resources to meet this need.

When there is war, conflict, or instability, vulnerable capital and wealth also flee. The "problem" of fleeing capital is different, however. Because capital and wealth are not as encumbered and physically restricted as are human beings, especially in the modern electronic age, capital moves far from the source of instability. Capital flight makes support of human refugees even more difficult, as capital often flees nations burdened with the obligation of support, nations in close proximity to the underlying cause of flight.

Unlike human refugees, who consume resources and capital, fleeing capital is welcome with inviting arms by safe havens. Capital and wealth must "go somewhere," and if they land in the banks and markets of a particular nation, that nation reaps the reward of that investment. Banks can lend at lower interest rates. Businesses can grow, expand, modernize, and invest. There is great reward and little cost to a recipient nation, especially if that nation has already invested heavily, historically, in the safety and security of the investment, by, for example, modern economic protections, strong security, a stable political system, and reasonable taxation.

...Not all capital flight winds up in the U.S., of course, but it’s safe to say that a good percentage is winding up here. Simple economics: more money chasing the same goods or investment opportunities causes prices to increase. With share prices high, companies can grow, expand, modernize, and invest. The investment increases the value of companies, generates returns for investors, and generates revenues for the U.S. government.

...Trump is not employing a philosophically driven foreign and trade policy wielding empty threats of carrot and stick like his predecessors. His foreign policy is disruptive, and intended to create meaningful reform in both statecraft and trade, first and foremost, to advance U.S. political, economic, and military interests. Achieving these objectives, even in the slightest of degrees, increases the safety and security of the U.S. as a safe haven, which strengthens Trump's ability to reform both foreign services and trade.

Vermont, Quebec to sign joint declaration amid U.S.-Canada tensions
[Wash Times] STOWE, Vt. ‐ The governor of Vermont and the premier of Quebec are expected to sign a joint declaration to strengthen the cooperative ties between the state and province.

The signing takes place Sunday afternoon in Stowe ahead of the meeting of political leaders from the New England states and the premiers of the five eastern Canadian provinces in Stowe on Monday.

The agreement and meeting are happening as a bitter trade dispute simmers between Washington and Ottawa.

Republican Gov. Phil Scott’s office says the declaration builds upon an earlier cooperative agreement and advances collaboration in commerce, energy, environmental protection, transportation and tourism. Scott and Premier Phillipe Couillard are expected to sign the declaration at the summit of the Stowe Mountain Resort ski area.

Women Need Guns
[National Review] Several weeks ago we learned the results of a new survey: The United States is apparently one of the ten most dangerous countries in the world for women. It’s not, actually, but that is the conclusion the Left has reached and is promoting based on inflated college-rape statistics and the fetishizing of victimhood. The survey results were compiled not from actual statistics, but instead from 550 interviews with so-called women’s experts around the world. From their answers, it’s clear that those in the intersectional American Left are walking around scared for their physical safety, or at least pretending to, even if that fear isn’t grounded in reality.

America ranked in the same top-ten list as India, where women are all too frequently gang-raped, killed at gunpoint, and even sometimes set on fire afterwards. The U.S. came in at No. 10, while Iran, where a woman was recently arrested and sentenced to 20 years in prison for protesting laws regulating the wearing of a hijab, didn’t rank at all. Anyone familiar with the truly dangerous climate for women in places such as India and the Middle East can understand that while the "Me Too" movement has raised necessary awareness of sexual harassment and assault here in the United States, it has not exposed our society to be inherently violent towards women. Relatively and realistically speaking, it is not uniquely dangerous for anyone to live in most parts of the country, no matter what "women’s experts" may claim.

The notion that women are so at risk in the U.S. becomes particularly interesting when one considers that the same liberal ideologues promoting it are also diametrically opposed to gun rights. The American Left simultaneously holds the views that life is more dangerous for women here than in most other places in the world and that the Second Amendment should be repealed or, at the very least, drastically curtailed. Even under constant threat, women, if gun-rights opponents got their way, would not have the ability to protect themselves with the best defenses available. If women were really so threatened, so at risk of rape or assault at any given moment in the workplace and on the streets, what would we want them to have on their persons and in their homes to protect themselves? Would we want the strongest defense available to women to be pepper spray or a gun?

Media covering (up) Dianne Feinstein's major spy scandal
[American Thinker] The mainstream media desperately want to deflect attention away from a huge spy scandal involving the ranking Democrat senator on the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence. For two decades, Senator Dianne Feinstein employed a Chinese spy on her staff. And when it was discovered, she was notified, the spy was fired (but not prosecuted), and the entire matter was kept secret from the public.

Only 5 years later did the news appear in public to almost no fanfare, bured deep in a Politico story on other matters.

The reason is obvious. The contrast with the treatment received by the Trump campaign when a Russian spy was merely suspected (on the basis of what appear to be ginned-up concerns over Carter Page, an FBI informant) is so stark as to raise serious question as to the integrity of the FBI counterintelligence operation. The NSA’s ability to monitor every form of electronic communications except ham radio[i] was mobilized to spy on the presidential campaign of the opposition party to the Obama administration. No notification to the campaign was offered, unlike Feinstein’s treatment.

The entire incident is being presented to the public as no big deal. That is a classic example of the fake news of which President Trump so vocally complains. Fortunately, Mark Thiessen checked out the real dimensions of the spy operation:

Pres. Trump Is Quietly Destroying Obamacare While Helping Millions of Americans‐Here's How
[Townhall] Despite numerous promises from congressional Democrats and President Barack Obama when they passed the Affordable Care Act in 2010, the health care law has created far more problems than it has solved. Premiums, deductibles, and health care choices have all worsened since Obamacare went into effect, and there’s no sign America’s health insurance system will improve anytime in the near future.

President Trump inherited a health insurance crisis when he took office in January 2017, so he and congressional Republican leaders immediately began to work to implement their plan to replace Obamacare with a more market-centered approach to improving the nation’s health insurance system. That plan failed miserably, and ever since, the Trump administration has steadily been working‐often quietly‐to gut Obamacare of its most burdensome provisions, providing millions of Americans with financial relief and alternative ways to purchase affordable health insurance and putting Obamacare on a path toward complete collapse.

For example, in December 2017, at the request of the Trump administration and some conservatives in Congress, Republicans included in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act a provision reducing the Obamacare penalty for not purchasing "qualifying" health insurance to $0, beginning in January 2019. This move was particularly important for working-class families because IRS tax data show of the 6.6 million filers required to pay the Obamacare penalty in 2015, the most recent year for which data are available, 36 percent had an adjusted gross income of $10,000 to $25,000. That means Republicans’ decision to lower the penalty to $0 will save millions of working-class people from having to pay fees they likely can’t afford.

Omarosa recorded chief of staff Kelly in White House Situation Room
[The Hill] Former White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman said Sunday that she secretly recorded chief of staff John Kelly in the White House Situation Room.

"This is a White House where everybody lies ... you have to have your back," Manigault Newman said on NBC's "Meet the Press" on why she recorded her conversation with Kelly as he was firing her.

"If I did not have this recording, people would still believe the false, incredible story that I was running around the White House ... that I tried to charge the residence of the White House. People would still think that I was trying to set off alarms," she continued. "So yes I recorded myself and I have no regret about it."

In the 20-second recording aired on NBC, Kelly can be heard saying that Manigault Newman can "go on without any type of difficulty" relative to her reputation "if we make this a friendly departure."

"I think it's important to understand that if we make this a friendly departure, we can all be, you know you can look at your time here in the White House as a year of service to the nation. And then you can go on without any type of difficulty in the future, relative to your reputation," he said.

Manigault Newman went on to say that Kelly's words were "very obviously a threat."

Many journalists and lawyers in the national security community were quick to point out that the recording should not have happened.

#9  Glenmore, Trump was not there when the recording in the situation room was made. She claims to have heard a recording someone else made of him saying the N'word.

The reason you can't record in there assumes you would be recording standard security stuff that goes on and that stuff is not to be recorded. in this case the room was used as the nearest empty room to contain any outburts or embarrassment during the firing process.

I don't think a lawyer would have too hard a time fighting any charges related to recording in the room. Even if that lawyer lost it wouldn't be worth the time and effort and mudslinging and would only give the attention-seeker more attention.

They should however enforce any non-disclosures she signed as they relate to her book and or press tour.

Lindsay Graham: ‘These Investigations Against Trump Were Corrupt to the Core'
[Breitbart] On this weekend’s broadcast of "Fox News Sunday," Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said the FBI investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election, which has turned into special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation, was "corrupt at the core."

Partial transcript as follows:

MACCALLUM: I want to ask you before I let you go a non-foreign policy question with regards to Bruce Ohr, who is a Department of Justice official Who worked under Sally Yates and just a few offices down from the head of the Justice Department. He’s becoming a much more central figure in what looks to be the initiation of this Russia investigation. What do you know about that?

GRAHAM: Well, he was the number four guy at the Department of Justice. His wife worked for Fusion GPS, the firm hired by the Democratic National Committee and the Clinton campaign to get ‐ to find dirt on Trump. They hired Christopher Steele, a former British agent, who went to Russia to gather a dossier that I think is a bunch of political garbage.

Here’s what I would tell the American people. Both campaigns were investigated by the FBI and the Department of Justice in 2016. When it came to the Clinton campaign, she got a pass. The criminal investigation of the Clinton campaign was a joke. When it came to the Trump campaign, it was corrupt, it was biased and I think unethical. Mr. Ohr should not have had any role in investigating the Trump campaign because his wife worked at Fusion GPS. The two ‐ the FBI agent in charge of the Clinton campaign hated Trump, liked Clinton, and also started the counterintelligence investigation against Trump. When it came to Dianne Feinstein, they went to her and said, hey, there’s a Chinese person working on your staff that we think may be tied to the Chinese government. When it came time to ‐ they never did the same for Trump. So these investigations against Trump were corrupt at the core. They gave Clinton a pass. Bruce Ohr was at least unethical. We need a special counsel to look at all things Department of Justice and FBI when it came to the Trump investigation, particularly the counterintelligence investigation.

Devin Nunes: Clinton campaign colluded with 'nearly every' top official at the DOJ and FBI
[Wash Examiner] House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes declared Sunday that Hillary Clinton's campaign "colluded" with nearly every top official in the Justice Department and FBI.

An interview on Fox News had turned to the topic of Trump dossier author Christopher Steele and his ties to Bruce Ohr, a high-level DOJ official who fed the FBI information from the ex-British spy even after he was cut as a source for providing confidential information to the media.

The dossier, published last year by BuzzFeed, contains unverified claims about the Russians having information on President Trump that could be used as leverage. Republican investigators are concerned the FBI deceived a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act court when it used information from the dossier without disclosing its Democratic benefactors to gain the authority to spy on onetime Trump campaign aide Carter Page.

Clinton's campaign, as well as the Democratic National Committee, retained Fusion GPS' anti-Trump research through October 2016 after it was initially funded, then dropped by the Washington Free Beacon, a conservative publication.

Nunes, R-Calif., blamed the media for largely ignoring the revelations surrounding the origins of the federal investigation into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia and stressing that the American people "need to know it" called for the declassification of "an unprecedented amount of information."

Ohr, who was the fourth-highest ranking official in the Justice Department, will testify before the House Judiciary Committee on Aug. 28 "to answer why he had 60+ contacts with dossier author, Chris Steele, as far back as January 2016," Rep. Mark Meadows, R-N.C., announced on Twitter late Friday.

The Carter Page role was likely that of a well place decoy. Strangely, neither the DOJ, FBI or Bob Mueller have any interest in him at all now.

Iraqi PM Abadi cancels visit to Iran amid backlash on US sanctions
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi has cancelled a visit to Iran, his press office said on Sunday, as the premier came under strong Iranian criticism over his stand on renewed US sanctions against Tehran.

Abadi will still go ahead with a planned visit to The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the decaying remnant of the Ottoman Empire....
on Tuesday but has scrapped the Iran leg of the trip "because of his busy schedule", his office said.

An Iraqi official had said on Saturday that Abadi would visit both neighboring Turkey and Iran to discuss economic issues.

According to Iraqi political sources, speaking on condition of anonymity
... for fear of being murdered...
, Iran initially agreed to the visit but changed its mind because it was unhappy about Abadi’s remarks.

The premier said last Tuesday that Iraq- which relies on neighboring Iran as a source of cheap imports -- would reluctantly comply with US sanctions against Tehran that took effect the same day. Read more

"We don’t support the sanctions because they are a strategic error, but we will comply with them," said Abadi, whose country is an ally of both Tehran and Washington.

"In general, sanctions are unjust," he said.

On Sunday, Iranian supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s representative in Baghdad lashed out at Abadi as the Tehran visit was called off.

"These irresponsible remarks have already been condemned by many people. It’s a disloyal attitude towards the honest position of Iran and the blood of the deaders this country has spilt to defend the land of Iraq" against holy warriors, said Moujtaba al-Hussein.

"We are saddened by this position which shows he has been defeated psychologically in the face of the Americans," he said.

11-year-old Thai bride returns from Malaysia after uproar
[DAWN] An 11-year-old child bride returned to Thailand this week following widespread outcry over her marriage to a Malaysian man 30 years her senior, an official told AFP on Saturday.

Malaysian Moslems below the age of 16 are allowed to wed with the permission of religious courts but news of the union between the girl and the 41-year-old trader went viral on social media, reigniting calls to end child marriage.

The ceremony took place in June over the border in Thailand’s Moslem-majority south in Narathiwat province, where the girl returned to Wednesday in the wake of "immense pressure from Malaysian media", provincial governor Suraporn Prommool said.

The 11-year-old, believed to be the trader’s third wife, is undergoing mental-health counselling because of the intense level of attention, Suraporn said. He added that the marriage was not recognised under Buddhist-majority Thailand’s civil law but that it took place under the auspices of an Islamic council in Narathiwat with the consent of the girl’s parents.

"We cannot do anything [to annul the marriage] because they married under the religious law," he said.

The trader, however, could face six months in jail if it is found that he did not get permission in Malaysia. The girl was born in Thailand to parents who labour in Malaysia’s vast rubber plantations and Suraporn said she doesn’t speak Thai well.

Around 16,000 girls below the age of 15 in multi-ethnic and predominantly Moslem Malaysia are already married, according to the most recent statistics.

But Human Rights Watch senior researcher Heather Barr said that taking into account the number of children married before reaching 18, the figure could be "much much higher".

Uproar in Malaysia prompted the head of the Ministry of Women and Family Development to weigh in on Facebook last month saying the country "unequivocally" opposes child marriage and is taking steps to raise the minimum age to 18.

Gaza protest toll rises to three
[DAWN] A 40-year-old Paleostinian hit by Israeli fire on the Gazoo border died of his wounds on Saturday, taking the corpse count from protests the previous day to three, the territory’s health ministry said.

He was among at least 131 Paleostinians maimed by Israeli bullets during Friday’s protests, even as an informal truce ending a deadly flare-up between Gazoo’s Islamist rulers Hamas, one of the armed feet of the Moslem Brüderbung millipede, and the Israeli army largely held.

In all 307 Paleostinians were maimed on Friday, some by tear gas, including two journalists and five medics, the health ministry in the coastal enclave said.

It identified the man who died on Saturday as Ahmed Abu Lulu, saying he was shot in a section of the border east of the southern city of Rafah, where the two other Palestinians were also killed.

The ministry had earlier identified the other two as Ali al-Alul, 55, and volunteer medic Abdullah al-Qatati, 21.

Three TLP workers arrested
[DAWN] Leaders and activists of Tehrik-e-Labbaik Pakistain (TLP) were booked when they tried to reach Foreign Office in Red Zone on Saturday to protest against a blasphemous cartoon competition in the Netherlands by a politician.

The police tossed in the slammer

three protesters and produced them in the court of magistrate which sent them to jail on judicial remand.

Earlier, over 50 protesters gathered at Khayaban-e-Suhrawardy and tried to reach Red Zone.

The police tried to stop them near Federal Lodges by putting up razor wire.

But the protesters put up resistance and removed the blockade and tried to move towards Red Zone which led to altercation and arrest of three workers.

Somehow, the law enforcers succeeded in stopping them at the edge of the Red Zone on the road.

Senior officers of police and capital administration were also present on the occasion.

The administration official informed the protesters that gathering of five or more and use of loudspeakers were banned in the capital under section 144. But they refused to listen to them and insisted to go to the Foreign Office.

Egyptian court sentences Muslim Brotherhood leader to life in prison
[PRESSTV] A court in Egypt has sentenced the chairman of the outlawed Moslem Brüderbund and other big shots of the movement to life in prison over charges of alleged incitement to murder and violence during protest rallies five years ago.

The Brotherhood’s Supreme Guide Mohammed Badie received life sentence from the Giza Criminal Court on Sunday, along with some other top leaders of the movement, including Mohammed el-Beltagy, Safwat Hegazy, Essam el-Erian and al-Husseini Antar.

The rulings are the latest among several trials and retrials against Badie and other big shots of the Brotherhood that ruled the African country before the military, led by incumbent President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, ousted the first democratically-elected president, Mohammed Morsi, following mass protests in 2013.

The court on Sunday also sentenced Bassem Ouda, the former supply minister under Morsi's rule, to 15 years in jail. It also sentenced the movement’s prominent figures Hisham Kamel, Gamal Fathi, and Ahmed Dahi to 10 years in prison over charges of alleged incitement to commit violent acts in the protests.

After his wallet was stolen, man chased thief and beat him to death, New Orleans police say
[New Orleans Advocate] Simon Morris snapped when a man swiped his wallet outside an Uptown gasoline station Friday morning. He chased the thief across the street and beat him to death with his fists and feet, New Orleans police said.

Morris, 31, faces a count of manslaughter after the killing of a man identified in court records only by his first name, Edwin.

According to police, Edwin approached Morris and asked him for a dollar outside the Express Mart Gas Station at 4140 S. Claiborne Ave. about 8:20 a.m. Friday. But Edwin then reached into Morris’ back pocket, snatched his wallet and ran across South Claiborne at Milan Street.

Morris caught up with him in the rear driveway of Hi Class Customs, an upholstery and window tinting shop at 4201 S. Claiborne. Morris wrested his wallet back and then began beating on Edwin with his fists, police said.

At least two people tried to restrain Morris. But he kept punching and then started kicking Edwin, who "was begging Morris to stop and was attempting to cover his face and body," police said.

Morris battered Edwin’s head and body "for a duration of five minutes or more," police said. He didn’t stop until one of the witnesses managed to pull him off. The witness said he feared Morris would try to beat him up as well, according to police.

Paramedics took Edwin to University Medical Center for treatment, but he died there not long after arrival. Officers detained Morris and later secured a warrant to jail him on a count of manslaughter.

The Grand Turk
Erdogan vows to defy US ‘threats’ after currency crash
[DAWN] President Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First
... Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey...
vowed on Saturday to defy US "threats" over a detained pastor, showing no signs of concessions in a bitter row that has caused the Ottoman Turkish lira to crash.

Relations between the two NATO
...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A cautionary tale of cost-benefit analysis....
allies have sunk to their lowest point in decades over a string of issues including the detention of US pastor Andrew Brunson on terror-related charges, prompting the lira to hit record lows against the dollar.

The Ottoman Turkish strongman also lashed out at interest rates, denounced them as a "tool of exploitation" which should be kept as low as possible.

The embattled lira tumbled 16 per cent against the dollar on Friday, falling further when US President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
said he had doubled steel and aluminium tariffs on The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the decaying remnant of the Ottoman Empire....
"It is wrong to dare bring Turkey to its knees through threats over a pastor," Erdogan said in the Black Sea town of Unye.

"Shame on you, shame on you," he said in remarks directly addressed to Washington. "You are exchanging your strategic partner in NATO for a priest."

China-Japan-Koreas
Laser guns now a reality
[Dhaka Tribune] Laser guns are no longer in the future. China’s new laser assault rifle ZKZM-500 is reportedly capable of hitting a target from a kilometer away, igniting flammable objects, and burning through human skin. The researchers behind the project claim it is ready for production.

The US developed laser firing cannons that can be mounted on armored vehicles and can take down drones by burning its body. But effective laser rifles has been in the world of fantasy, until now.

The South China Morning Post spoke with researchers at the Xian Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, who say they have developed a powerful laser rifle that will soon be in the hands of Chinese police who focus on anti-terrorism.

With a range of 800 meters, the ZKZM-500 laser assault rifle is a 15mm caliber weapon that weighs 3kg, which is roughly the same as an AK-47. It can be used to fire through transparent objects such as windows. And it is powerful enough to burn through a gas tank and ignite fuel storage facilities.

The weapon is absolutely silent and its beam is invisible. In the blink of an eye, the weapon can burn through the skin and tissue, causing “instant carbonization.” One researcher told the Morning Post that “the pain will be beyond endurance.”

At $15,000 a piece, the ZKZM-500 does not need any ammunition since its lithium-ion battery can handle over 1000 laser burst that lasts around two seconds each. This new tech is restricted for military and police only.

Deep State Husbands
[NewsWithViews] Most of us are familiar with the Stepford Wives, but how many of us realize that the men involved in the so-called Deep State have wives that are anything but Stepford-type women?

Those of us who seek news outside of the mainstream know who Nellie Ohr is. Fox News spent the past week inundating us with information about her. The question is: Why did they wait so long to broadcast data published seven months ago? Fox News treated it like a news alert ‐ called it that, in fact.

It’s almost as if everything is being carefully timed to achieve a very secret objective.

Do the words "statute of limitations" resonate as the reason behind Robert Mueller’s, the FBI’s, the DOJ’s and Congressional Committees’ unreasonable delays? If truth can be delayed long enough, no one goes to jail because the statute of limitations comes and goes so no one can be prosecuted.

When a crime (with a few exceptions ‐ like murder) is perpetrated, the authorities have a limited amount of time to catch and prosecute the offender. If the statute of limitations says the authorities have three years to solve and prosecute the crime, the perp can confess the day after the three year limit passes and cannot be prosecuted for it. The crime is "dead."

The Obama administration, the FBI and Department of Justice have handled many of their responsibilities to department policies and to our Constitution with reckless disregard. If they delay things beyond the statute of limitations they cannot be prosecuted. Thus they get to maintain their fictitious record of upholding the Constitution against enemies, foreign and domestic, and all of the mafia-like characters who have caused this challenge to our Constitutional Republic ‐ and they get to retire at taxpayer expense.
Continues.

North Korea’s secret garden hidden in Damascus
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] During the civil war in 2015, the Syrian regime opened a public park in the capital Damascus, in honor of North Korea’s first supreme leader, Kim Il-sung. Adding furthermore to the mystery, the public is prohibited from entering the garden. This reflects the Syrian regime’s determination to retains it as a symbol of the special secret relationship between the two presidents, according to the French newspaper, Le Monde.

Le Monde reveals that the park is located in the town of Kafr Sousse, south-west of Damascus, close to a building belonging to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Sham City Center, one of the largest commercial centers in the Syrian capital.

The park is a meeting point for children of the newly rich who live in high-rise residential towers. It is where they spend their time drinking"Polo", a high-priced lemon and mint juice, and smoke hookah. During the summer of 2017, as the civil war raged and rockets lit sky, the park remained distant and shielded from all the commotion.

When locals are queried about the Kim Il-sung Park, they raise their eyebrows in wonder, oblivious to who this leader is. Kim Il-sung ruled from 1948-1994, and is the grandfather of the current North Korean leader, Kim Pudge Jong-un
...the overweight, pouty-looking hereditary potentate of North Korea. Pudge appears to believe in his own divinity, but has yet to produce any loaves and fishes, so his subjects remain malnourished...
The park was inaugurated on August 31, 2015 in the presence of Syrian Deputy foreign minister, Faisal Mekdad, and other officials from both countries. Despite what was announced as a significant opening by the Syrian Arab News Agency, it is still difficult to determine the exact location of the park.

According to Syrian Authorities, the park covers an area of 9,000 square meters. It is fenced and can only be accessed by individuals who hold keys to its large gate.

The park is home to a monument surprisingly built 13 years before its opening. It has the birth-date of the Kim Il-sung and describes him as "The eternal leader of the Korean people and the dear friend of the Syrians".

Despite hinting at the obvious cooperation between North Korea and the Syrian regime, the park has triggered speculation about why Damascus, specifically in the midst of a civil war, is beholden to the Pyongyang regime.

Arab Coalition refutes allegations of targeting Yemen civilians
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] The Arab Coalition's Joint Incident Assessment Team (JIAT) in Yemen

conducted investigations into the shelling of buildings in Saada, citing allegations of its forces targeting civilians in the ongoing conflict in Yemen.

The official front man of the JIAT, Legal Counsellor Mansour al-Mansour said on Sunday during a presser in the Saudi capital Riyadh, that the coalition had received intelligence information indicating the presence of Houthi
...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews ...
military commanders in a house located in a remote isolated area.

The official presented pictures of the targeted house, which international organizations claimed is adjacent to civilian inhabited houses.

According to the pictures, the targeted house is in an isolated remote area.

The JIAT concluded that the targeting of the building was in accordance with the rules of humanitarian law.

Al-Mansour added that the team also investigated the incident involving the "house in Lahij governorate", which was targeted due to the presence of a gathering of armed members of the Houthi militias, and thus it is considered a legitimate military target, he said.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Turkey ready to create more safe zones in Syria
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the decaying remnant of the Ottoman Empire....
said on Sunday it had finalized preparations to create more safe areas in Syria, which would allow the return of refugees who have fled the civil war.

Speaking at his AK Party’s provincial headquarters in the Black Sea city of Trabzon, President Tayyip Erdogan said a quarter of a million people had already returned to liberated areas in Syria.

"God willing soon we will have liberated more places and made more areas safe," he said.

Turkey is host to 2.7 million refugees from Syria.

Turkey is carrying out an offensive in northern Syria’s Afrin region against the Syrian Kurdish YPG militia, which Ankara considers a terrorist organization linked to Kurdish hard boyz waging an insurgency on Ottoman Turkish soil.

The Afrin campaign is Turkey’s second cross-border operation during Syria’s seven-year-old civil war. The first, dubbed "Euphrates Shield", targeted ISIS and Kurdish fighters further east than Afrin, and was completed in early 2017.

Erdogan said diplomatic and military efforts in Syria’s Idlib province, where Turkey has set up a dozen military observation posts, had been accelerated to avoid a "catastrophe" like those seen in other parts of Syria.

Syria’s government and allied forces backed by Russia and Iran have swiftly recaptured other rebel strongholds in the southwest and vowed to push on and recover all of the country.

Idlib is the largest remaining Syrian rebel-held enclave and there are fears of further bloodshed in the event of a government-backed offensive.

Erdogan also said Turkey was taking steps to save Iraq’s Qandil area from being a "nest of terror" and that if needed northern Iraq’s Sinjar region could be included in this process.

Turkey’s army has ramped up operations in northern Iraq, with the aim of destroying Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) bases in the Qandil mountains, where high-ranking members of the hard boy group are thought to be located.

Jordan retrieves bodies of three suspected militants after shootout
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Security forces on Sunday pulled the bodies of three suspected forces of Evil out of a partially collapsed building in a city in central Jordan following a shoot out, a government spokeswoman said.

Security forces had raided the building in a search for those responsible for a kaboom on a police van on Friday that was maintaining security near a music festival.

Government spokeswoman Jumana Ghunaimat told Rooters the security forces had also seized automatic weapons in a "continuing operation."

Jordan said on Saturday four security personnel were killed during a police raid on a house sheltering forces of Evil suspected of being behind a kaboom on a police van a day earlier.

Security forces stormed a building in the city of As-Salt where suspects behind the planting of the home-made bomb that killed one policeman on Friday were believed to be hiding.

Government spokeswoman Jumana Ghunaimat told the state news agency Petra that three suspects had been locked away
Maw! They're comin' to get me, Maw!
so far in an operation that was still underway against a cell hiding in a building in the centre of hillside As-Salt city, about 30 km west of Amman.

The suspects had refused to hand themselves over to the security forces and blown up part of the hilltop building, Ghunaimat added.

Later Ghunaimat said security forces were moving to seize the site and see if there were any civilians held hostage.

Latest reports said kabooms were heard in the vicinity of operation in in As-Salt, a hillside town near Amman, after the raid entered its second phase of an ongoing operation.

Witnesses heard several strong kabooms near the site which a security source said were explosives being detonated by the police as they closed in on the holy warriors.

Police had earlier blamed a gas canister for Friday’s blast near the site of a music festival in the town of Fuheis.

Ambulances were seen rushing to the main city hospital from near the building in a residential area of As-Salt that was sealed off by police.

The terrorist cell was responsible for the kaboom in the town of Fuheis outside Amman that killed one policeman and injured six others on Friday.

During Saturday’s raid, 20 persons were maimed in the collapse of the building in As-Salt.

SECURITY PERSONNEL KILLED
The three suspects were held during the operation by ecurity forces during which four security personnel were killed.

Earlier, Jordanian police investigations showed that a home made bomb planted near a police van was behind a blast on Friday that killed the policeman and injured six others.

Police said on Friday a gas canister stored in the van was behind the blast near a gendarmerie parking lot close to the site of a music festival in the town of Fuheis outside Amman.

"This cowardly act will only increase the determination to do our job to protect people," the interior ministry statement said.

Syria militants forming ‘army’ with Turkish support
[PRESSTV] Ottoman Turkish-backed bully boyz in Syria are reportedly creating a "national army" with Ankara’s support in the Arab country’s northwest.

The bully boyz are sewing up rifts within their ranks towards building the force, which comprises some 35,000 members from the biggest factions that have been waging militancy against Syria since 2011.

"We are at the beginning. We face many difficulties but we are working to overcome them," the head of the force, Colonel Haitham Afisi, told Rooters on Sunday.

Afisi is trying to unite the bully boy groups. He has ordered them to stop "randomly opening fire"
No more gun sex?? How will anyone know they are big, bad jihadis if they aren’t forever shooting off?
and wear uniforms. Various bully boy outfits have also been banned from operating their own jails and courts and from carrying out extrajudicial arrests.

The news agency said the presence of Ottoman Turkish forces on the ground has helped to shield the bully boyz from Syrian government attacks.

"All the support for the national army is from The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund....
, there are no other states partnering in this matter," Afisi said.

Turkey began operating in northern Syria in 2016 under the banner of fighting the Takfiri
...an adherent of takfir wal hijra, an offshoot of Salafism that regards everybody who doesn't agree with them as apostates who must be killed...
terror group of ISIS, while pushing against Kurdish bully boys, whom it associates with anti-Ankara separatists. Earlier this year, Ottoman Turkish forces invaded Syria again, this time seizing the northern region of Afrin.

The country has refused to heed calls for withdrawal by Damascus, which views the presence as "occupation."

Diamer authorities ask jirga to handover 27 suspects involved in arson attacks on schools
[DAWN] Diamer Deputy Commissioner Didar Malik on Sunday asked a 12-member jirga working with the district authorities to handover 27 suspects allegedly involved in the arson attacks on schools in Diamer district, DawnNewsTV reported.

A meeting was held at the DC office in Chilas, where former Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) Deputy Speaker Malak Miskeen, GB Minister for Excise and Taxation Haider Khan, GB Forests Minister Imran Wakeel and other notables were also present.

DC Malik asked the jirga members to handover the suspects before 4pm on August 13, otherwise, a search operation will be conducted in both Tangir and Darel tehsils.

The jirga assured the deputy commissioner and security officials that they will make efforts to handover the suspects as well as their controllers and requested that officials be prevented from moving into the areas before the agreed deadline.

On the night of August 2, more than a dozen schools ‐ half of which were girls-only centres ‐ had been burned down in Diamer by person or persons unknown.

According to an initial report of the incident, the "miscreants" carried out the attacks in an "organised manner". The assailants first vandalised the buildings and then set them on fire, said the report.

Death toll from Indonesia quake tops 380
[DAWN] MATARAM: An earthquake on the Indonesian island of Lombok has killed 387 people, authorities said on Saturday, adding hundreds of thousands of displaced people were still short of clean water, food and medicine nearly a week on.

The shallow 6.9-magnitude quake on Sunday levelled tens of thousands of homes, mosques and businesses across Lombok, just one week after another tremor surged through the island and killed 17.

"It’s predicted the corpse count will continue to grow because there are still victims who are suspected of being buried by landslides and under rubble, and there are victims that have not been recorded and reported to posts," national disaster agency front man Sutopo Purwo Nugroho said.

The number forced from their homes in the disaster has soared to 387,000, Nugroho said, with around 13,000 injured. The hardest hit region of Lombok has been in the north, where 334 people have died and nearly 200,000 have been forced from their homes, according to latest official tolls.

Two people were also killed by the quake on the neighbouring tourist island of Bali.

Iran’s mullahs and the orphan regime
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Has US President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
’s position on Iran changed? Has he demolished his stated strategy as well as the statements of his senior administration officials, abandoned the conditions set by his foreign affairs minister and set closed doors and dead-end paths before the Iranian regime, the biggest sponsor of terrorism in the world?

These questions were raised by some observers in the past phase.

What do attacks on seminaries indicate for Iran?
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] On August 7, the re-imposed US economic sanctions on Iran came into effect. The move ended a three-month period given by the Trump administration to foreign companies to cut their business ties with Iran, which they developed after signing the nuclear deal in the summer of 2015. From the US point of view, the three month period was sufficient for foreign companies, especially European ones, to wind up their businesses and leave Iran.

ECONOMY NOSEDIVES
At present, sanctions have been imposed on cars, coal, gold, metal and banking transactions, and they will be followed in November with sanctions on energy trade. The Europeans tried "to hold the stick from the middle", soothe Iranian fear on one hand and forge an understanding with the Americans on another in order to protect their companies which sealed major deals inside Iran - just as they had in the 1990s when sanctions were imposed on Libya after the bombing of Pan Am Flight and on Iran after the American hostage situation. In the end, the Europeans will not risk losing the US market to Iran, and they will eventually have to deal with the situation, and this has practically began by freezing their companies’ businesses and then exiting Iran.

Huge incendiary kite from Gaza landed on kibbutz power lines Saturday
[IsraelTimes] IDF struck cell in northern Strip launching devices as arson attacks continued; flaming balloon landed next to a community dining room in Eshkol Region

A large incendiary kite launched from Gazoo landed on power lines near Kibbutz Sufa, sparking a quick operation by employees from the Israeli Electric Corporation to remove the device before a fire was started.

The 4-meter (about 13-foot) kite, which landed on Friday, caused a power outage at the kibbutz and in the surrounding area.

It was removed from the high-voltage wires by electric company workers using a crane.

The IEC released pictures of the kite on Saturday.

In another community near the Gazoo Strip, police sappers neutralized an incendiary balloon flown over from the Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason,-run Paleostinian enclave that landed next to a dining room in an Israeli community in the Eshkol Region.

In response, the Israeli military on Saturday afternoon said it targeted a cell responsible for launching incendiary balloons in the northern Gazoo Strip. Reports in Paleostinian media said two people were maimed in the Israeli strikes in El-Bureij.

There were also Paleostinian reports of a second IDF strike elsewhere in the Gazoo Strip.

Explosion at weapons depot kills 39 civilians, injures dozen in Syrian town
[PRESSTV] A monitoring group says at least 39 civilians, including 12 children, have bit the dust and dozens of others sustained injuries when a powerful kaboom destroyed a weapons depot in Syria’s murderous Moslem-held northwestern province of Idlib.

Rami Abdel Rahman, the head of the so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), said the blast occurred in a residential building in town of Sarmada near the border with The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the decaying remnant of the Ottoman Empire....
, and caused two buildings to collapse.

Abdel Rahman highlighted that the corpse count was expected to further rise as scores of people remained trapped under rubble and tens of people remain unaccounted for.

The Observatory added that the ammunition depot belonged to an arms dealer working with the Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham
, commonly referred to as Tahrir al-Sham, terrorist group, and was situated in the Bab al-Hawa neighborhood of Sarmada.
The Times of Israel adds:
An AFP correspondent at the site in the rebel-held town of Sarmada near the Ottoman Turkish border said the kaboom caused two buildings to collapse.

In recent months, a series of kabooms and liquidations ‐ mainly targeting rebel officials and fighters ‐ have rocked the province.

While some attacks have been claimed by IS, most are the result of infighting since last year between various other groups.

Pak military officers to get training in Russia
[DAWN] Pak military officers will receive training in Russian Federation military institutes under a recent agreement signed between the two countries.

The deal underscores Pakistain’s increasing reliance on Russia for its military needs amid strained relations with the US. It was signed earlier this week during a visit by Russian Deputy Defence Minister Col Gen Alexander Fomin.

The agreement comes as local media reported the US has stopped financing military training in the US for Pak soldiers ‐ a step that Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed called "wrong and counterproductive."

Mr Hussain, chairman of the Foreign Affairs committee, said the US is repeating past mistakes through failed policy of trying to bully and browbeat Pakistain with such short-sighted sanctions.

Houthis dig trenches to encircle port of ‘Salif’ northwest of Yemen’s Hodeidah
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] A Yemeni military source said on Sunday that the Houthi
...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The Yemeni government has accused the Houthis of having ties to the Iranian government, which wouldn't suprise most of us. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews ...
militias have started digging military trenches to surround the port of As-Salif western of Yemen.

The source said that the Houthi militias began digging trenches in the vicinity of the air defense camp and the port of As-Salif, through which most of the humanitarian aid and ships flow through to unload wheat, foodstuffs and various goods.

According to the source, the Houthis prevented fishermen from reaching their marina in the Harfa area north of the port, amid military deployment and checkpoints on roads between the port and the residential neighborhoods.

It is noteworthy that the militias have dug dozens of trenches on the road linking the city of Hodeidah and the port of As-Salif north-west of the city.

Meanwhile,
...back at the comedy club, Boogie was cracking himself up, but nobody else seemed to be getting the non-stop jokes...
the Houthi militias directed its leaders and supervisors in Sanaa to instal surveillance cameras in front of their homes and headquarters.

The Yemeni news agency Khabar quoted an official security source as saying that directives were issued by the militia requiring its leaders, supervisors and members in high positions to instal surveillance cameras in front of their homes and other buildings in various neighborhoods in Sanaa, amid fears of increasing popular rejection of them.

The source said that these directives were issued as a security precaution following fears among the leaders of the group of any possible attacks, and after the escalation of disputes between the leaders and supervisors of the Houthi militia on appointments and positions and the looting of public and private money in the capital Sanaa and areas under its control.
