You can guess what kind of misconduct by the fact I can't put it in the title, or this comment.
Google employees around the world walked out of their offices on Thursday to protest how the technology company handles sexual misconduct allegations.
Hundreds of workers walked off the job at offices from Tokyo to Singapore, Zurich to London, New York to San Francisco.
The worldwide demonstrations come one week after a New York Times investigation revealed that Google in recent years has handed multimillion-dollar exit packages to male executives accused of sexual misconduct, while keeping quiet about the allegations.

Democratic socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez sent out a fundraising email Wednesday that is rife with hateful rhetoric and blatant falsehoods.
"Six days from now, we can defeat the brutal white supremacist forces of anti-Semitism, anti-immigrant nativism, and racism," Ocasio-Cortez starts the email. "We can hold accountable the cold-hearted monsters who have repeatedly attacked our health care. We can send a message to the bigots and billionaires that this country belongs to all of us. We can win if we show up on November 6. We must end Republican control of Congress and begin to reclaim our nation."
[Yahoonews.com] In 2013, hundreds of CIA officers ‐ many working nonstop for weeks ‐ scrambled to contain a disaster of global proportions: a compromise of the agency’s internet-based covert communications system used to interact with its informants in dark corners around the world. Teams of CIA experts worked feverishly to take down and reconfigure the websites secretly used for these communications; others managed operations to quickly spirit assets to safety and oversaw other forms of triage.
"When this was going on, it was all that mattered," said one former intelligence community official. The situation was "catastrophic," said another former senior intelligence official.
From around 2009 to 2013, the U.S. intelligence community experienced crippling intelligence failures related to the secret internet-based communications system, a key means for remote messaging between CIA officers and their sources on the ground worldwide. The previously unreported global problem originated in Iran and spiderwebbed to other countries, and was left unrepaired ‐ despite warnings about what was happening ‐ until more than two dozen sources died in China in 2011 and 2012 as a result, according to 11 former intelligence and national security officials.
The disaster ensnared every corner of the national security bureaucracy ‐ from multiple intelligence agencies, congressional intelligence committees and independent contractors to internal government watchdogs ‐ forcing a slow-moving, complex government machine to grapple with the deadly dangers of emerging technologies.
In a world where dependence on advanced technology may be a necessary evil for modern espionage, particularly in hostile regions where American officials can’t operate freely, such technical failures are an ever present danger and will only become more acute with time.
"When these types of compromises happen, it’s so dark and bad," said one former official. "They can burrow in. It never really ends."
A former senior intelligence official with direct knowledge of the compromise said it had global implications for the CIA. "You start thinking twice about people, from China to Russia to Iran to North Korea," said the former official. The CIA was worried about its network "totally unwinding worldwide."
Yahoo News’ reporting on this global communications failure is based on conversations with eleven former U.S. intelligence and government officials directly familiar with the matter who requested anonymity to discuss sensitive operations. Multiple former intelligence officials said that the damage from the potential global compromise was serious ‐ even catastrophic ‐ and will persist for years.

Another systems problem. Who knew? Exactly how much UBL, Benghazi, and "Extortion 17" data was lost forever? This might have been prevented had Obama's $1.7-billion in Iranian payments arrived when initially demanded.
Had we not read about this at Yahoo, we might never have known. I ask you, where would we be today without anonymous sources ?

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) ‐ A 10th person died amid a viral outbreak at a pediatric care center while a different strain of the virus was found at another facility in the state, New Jersey health officials said Thursday.
The state Health Department confirmed in a statement the "medically fragile child" at the Wanaque Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation had the adenovirus infection.
There have been 28 cases associated with the respiratory virus at the center, where the affected children had severely compromised immune systems. One death was a young adult.
"The loss of these young lives is heartbreaking, and our thoughts are with the families who are affected," Health Commissioner Dr. Shereef Elnahal said in a statement.
The state also said there are four confirmed adenovirus cases among pediatric patients at Voorhees Pediatric Facility, near Philadelphia, but preliminary tests have ruled out it’s the same strain affecting Wanaque.
[The Federalist] What happened to the multiple allegations of sexual misconduct levied against Brett Kavanaugh during his confirmation battle? The claims ranged from Christine Blasey Ford’s remotely plausible if unsubstantiated allegation of a violent attempted rape to Michael Avenatti’s completely outlandish and also unsubstantiated allegation of hosting serial gang rape parties.
From September 12 to October 6, the claims absolutely dominated all major media. They ran on the front pages of all major newspapers and filled the hours on cable and network news. Magazine journalists at The New Yorker ran with the claims, despite massive corroboration problems.
The claims were taken so seriously by the media and some U.S. senators it led to serious delays of the confirmation voting process. A hearing was held during and after which all the talking heads on cable asserted Blasey Ford was completely "credible." Sen. Jeff Flake, R-Arizona, even maneuvered to reopen an FBI investigation to dig into the claims. Then they disappeared. Overnight.
The argument for delaying the confirmation process indefinitely was that everyone needed time to investigate the allegations. The argument underlying the media coverage was that these allegations were "credible" and needed to be investigated and reported on given the importance of the lifetime position for which Kavanaugh was nominated. The allegations were hitting in the midst of the Me Too movement, which claims to address sexual assault by powerful men. It should be noted that for a claim to be declared "credible," it doesn’t need to be verified or have any substantiating evidence but merely that journalists and pundits "believe" it or find it possible.
If it was important to investigate the claims because Kavanaugh was up for a lifetime appointment on the Supreme Court, it remains just as important to investigate it now that he’s been confirmed. This would be true even if impeachment were not an option if the allegations were ever substantiated. That impeachment is an option makes the October silence even weirder. Why did media outlets go from hourly updates on this story to dropping it like it’s hot?
Recent coverage is limited and devoted to political considerations of the allegations, but not the merit of them. If Kavanaugh had credible sexual assault allegations against him, as the media claimed, they should be fully investigated even after his confirmation, since he continues to work with and around women, and has children at home. Right? Why would his confirmation change anything about the tenacity with which the media covered this story? Is it less scandalous to have a “credibly accused” rapist on the Supreme Court than to have a “credibly accused” nominee to the court?
Many Americans did not find any of the accusations against Kavanaugh believable, but nearly every media figure and Democratic politician and seemed to swallow one or more of the claims whole. Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., even read Avenatti’s client Julie Swetnick into the record. Swetnick claimed without evidence that Kavanaugh was the secret ringleader of a serial gang rape cartel in high school. She claimed that, as an adult, she attended 10 gang rape parties that he organized as a high school student. As recently as a few days ago, abortion corporation Planned Parenthood and abortion lobbying group NARAL said they “believe” Swetnick.

The liberal campaign failed to stop him being on the supreme court but it will still be a talking point for a decade whenever the Supreme Court comes up, and it will be said as if it's true he's a sexual predator and we all know it. That is how these things work. You can't sue Ford for slander but I wish you could.
[The Hill] The recent dip in the stock market, which has all but wiped out the gains for 2018, is partly due to election jitters, top White House economic advisor Larry Kudlow said at a Washington Post event Thursday.
"Inside this correction someplace is some nerves about the election," he said, reiterating a view that has recently become a talking point among Republicans.
If Democrats win the House, he said, tax increases would be on the table, making the markets nervous. Businesses, Kudlow argued, were also worried about red tape, regulation and a reversal of Trump energy policies.
But Kudlow said he was confident that the decrease in stock prices was a temporary correction, and not the beginning of a longer downturn.
"Corrections come and go," he said, swatting away the idea that a trade war with China and ongoing disputes with close trade partners were responsible for the losses. He said that some leading technology company prices, which had led the stock market rise, had been overvalued and due for a correction.

The last few days have seen numerous polls trending slightly positive for Republicans. During the same period, there appears to be a corresponding upward trend in the market. Unless of course you believe in coincidences.
[Breitbart] Several Democrat women stripped to their skivvies for a photo shoot that is part of a campaign to urge people to vote against Republicans this election season.
Ten women decided to pose nude with paper ballots covering their private areas in a Vermont studio on October 28 for a photo shoot called "Grab Them by the Ballot," in the hopes they could convince people to cast their ballots for Democrats instead of Republicans this November.
Dawn Robertson, 48, a Harvard Law School graduate and founder of a recruitment company, told the Daily Mail she organized the photo shoot because of the rise of the #MeToo movement and hoped to push back on what she says is the Republican Party’s attack on women and transgender rights.
"What the Republicans are doing to transgender rights, the way they are attacking women’s reproductive rights and the collective trauma means that women are really coming to the forefront now," she said.
Robertson said she was inspired by a photographer’s 2016 photo shoot called "Grab Him by the Ballot," which was a reaction to the 2016 election when Donald Trump won the presidency.
More of the same, except they'll be in charge.
[Washington Times] They may have trouble legislating, but congressional Democrats are already drawing up plans for investigating if they score big gains in the midterm elections Tuesday.
It’s one area where vast changes are guaranteed if Democrats reclaim at least one chamber of Congress ‐ the committees investigating President Trump’s Russia ties, finances and ethics questions will have a much different focus than they did under Republican control.
House Democrats said the investigation into Russian election-meddling and Mr. Trump’s campaign focused just as much on Justice Department overreach and FBI bias. They said they will reopen the inquiry into Mr. Trump’s campaign that their Republican counterparts largely declared closed.
Among the targets: The notorious June 2016 Trump Tower meeting between top Trump campaign aides and a Russian lawyer, the president’s tax returns and Mr. Trump’s personal and commercial ties to Russian interests.
Although Mr. Trump repeatedly denies any wrongdoing, questions about Russia’s election meddling has been a constant headache for the president in his first two years in office. To date, 32 people and three companies, including four former aides of Mr. Trump, have been indicted or pleaded guilty in special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation.
[VDH at National Review] Law enforcement is not just a way to deal with individual violators but also a way to remind society at large that there can be no civilization without legality.
What makes citizens obey the law is not always their sterling character. Instead, fear of punishment ‐ the shame of arrest, fines, or imprisonment ‐ more often makes us comply with laws. Law enforcement is not just a way to deal with individual violators but also a way to remind society at large that there can be no civilization without legality.
Or, as 17th-century British statesman George Savile famously put it: "Men are not hanged for stealing horses, but that horses may not be stolen."
In the modern world, we call such prompt, uniform, and guaranteed law enforcement "deterrence," from the Latin verb meaning "to frighten away." One protester who disrupts a speech is not the problem. But if unpunished, he green-lights hundreds more like him.
Worse still, when one law is left unenforced, then all sorts of other laws are weakened.
The result of hundreds of "sanctuary cities" is not just to forbid full immigration enforcement in particular jurisdictions. They also signal that U.S. immigration law, and by extension other laws, can be ignored.
[PJ] Vice President Mike Pence traveled to Ohio on Wednesday to support Ohio's Republican candidates, making a stop in Mansfield to campaign for gubernatorial candidate Mike DeWine, Senate candidate Jim Renacci, and Congressmen Bob Gibbs and Troy Balderson. Along the way, the vice president carved out time to meet with the Amish community, many of whom attended the rally in Mansfield.
Renacci, who is currently a member of the U.S. House, told PJM that his team has been working with the Amish community for several years and he, along with Bikers for Trump leader Chris Cox, arranged for a meet and greet with the vice president.
The Amish aren't typically a sought-after voting bloc. After all, many have religious objections to voting and contacting them by phone is nearly impossible. However, some believe that the Amish may have helped to nudge George W. Bush over the finish line in the 2004 election. Bush's socially conservative platform resonated with the Amish and he devoted significant time and resources to those communities.
[IsraelTimes] The Lebanese terror group Hezbollah has been paying rebel fighters formerly backed by the United States in southern Syria to switch sides in that country’s civil war, The Wall Street Journal reports.
The Iranian proxy, which is fighting on behalf of Syrian Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad Horror of Homs... ’s regime, has so far recruited some 2,000 fighters, according to the report, which cites unnamed activists and a former rebel commander.
Israel has said it won’t tolerate an Iranian presence in Syria and during the summer Syrian ally Russia announced Iranian forces would pull back to at least 85 kilometers from the border with Israel.
"Russia pushing Iran out is an illusion. It can’t rely on the Syrian army," the Journal quoted the former rebel commander saying.

The Master of the Obvious™ pic really should be attached to this article. Tribes changing allegiance at the drop of a hat, filled with silver of course!, is as old as the region's inhabitants.
[American Elephants] Democrats are trying to romanticize the massive marches of Central Americans heading for our Southern Border, with the appellate “Caravans,” which does have a romantic sound. If Trump is going to declare war on these bands of migrants, then the Democrats are going to be for them. They had a great success with the “ripped from their mothers’ arms meme” when enough attention was called to the fact that existing law requires that children may not be detained with the parents who are detained. The fact that the children were well cared for and entertained was brushed aside with the “ripped” phrase. The Democrats work very hard to get just the right messaging out there. Republicans are not all that good at messaging, just at doing the right thing most of the time.
There’s much about the current bands of migrants that is as yet unknown. The Honduran official supposedly behind it is known, but there’s lots of help turning up to feed and shelter them, and help them on their way. The Left is still trying to emphasize the women and children part, and there are some, but the vast majority seem to be young men of working age, and what they want is paying jobs so they can send money home, and the benefits that go along with being “refugees.” Refugee status carries special privileges, and there are plenty of immigration attorneys to tell them the correct claims to make and words to say.
The first group which some are estimating well over 1,000 has broken through Mexico’s border. The Mexican government has offered asylum, and work, and some 1800 or so accepted, but the vast majority headed on. Someone is supplying trucks for transport. A second group has formed and has broken through the Mexican border fences, with a shooting, one migrant killed, and some violence. The second group comes from El Salvador, home of MS-13, the gang that is terrorizing some American cities.

[IsraelTimes] Separately, security officer’s jeep catches fire because of incendiary device from the Strip, as arson attacks pick up after brief lull.
A kindergarten in southern Israel was evacuated Thursday morning after a teacher spotted a suspicious object in the playground that was later found to be an bomb, apparently flown into Israel from the nearby Gazoo Strip, officials said.
Sappers were called to the scene to remove the device from the kindergarten in the Eshkol region, a local government spokesperson said.
"The object was collected by security officers and handled by them," the Eshkol spokesperson said.
In a separate case, a security jeep caught fire in Kibbutz Alumim, some four kilometers (2.5 miles) from the Gazoo border, because of an airborne incendiary device from the Strip, according to the fire department.
"The incident is under control, and there are no injuries," said the spokesperson for the fire department’s southern district.
"The fire was sparked when the vehicle went over an incendiary balloon. The small blaze that was under the car sparked a fire in a pipe in the fuel system, which caused the fire to spread to the front part of the car and caused significant damage to the vehicle," he said.
Thursday’s two suspected attacks from Gazoo came amid an uptick in airborne arson attempts from the coastal enclave, following a brief lull earlier in the week.
Arson attacks, which had taken place on an almost daily basis since late March, all but halted entirely from last Thursday to Tuesday.
[AlAhram] The Egyptian Army issued on Thursday the 29th communiqué on the anti-terrorism ’Operation Sinai 2018,’ saying 18 takfiri ...an adherent of takfir wal hijra, an offshoot of Salafism that regards everybody who doesn't agree with them as apostates who most be killed... s have been killed and 129 suspects have been tossed in the calaboose Don't shoot, coppers! I'm comin' out! in the recent period as part of the country’s war on terrorism.
Eight takfiris were killed by military forces in different raids in central and northern Sinai, and 10 high-risk others were killed in special operations by national security forces in the North Sinai capital of El-Arish, the army said.
"One army officer was killed during the heroic raids by the army and the police that targeted terrorist infrastructure with the aim of maintaining the security of the homeland," the video statement added.
The air force carried out Arclight airstrikes in the western border area and destroyed 25 off-road vehicles laden with weapons and other contraband.
Military engineers have located and destroyed 141 bombs planted to target security forces.
On 9 February, the anti-terrorism effort dubbed Operation Sinai 2018 was launched in northern and central Sinai, parts of the Nile Delta and desert areas west of the Nile Valley, according to the first Armed Forces communiqué on the operation.
Last July, the army spokesperson said that more 321 bad boyz were potted since the launch of the operation.
[IsraelTimes] Jerusalem giving Leb a chance to take own steps against alleged sites where Iran is converted projectiles into guided missiles, according to Israeli report
Israel has reportedly sent a message to the Lebanese government via Gay Paree demanding that it act against the Hezbollah terror group’s rocket factories in the country, saying if Leb refused to do so, Israel could take military action.
The message was delivered by Israel’s deputy national security adviser Eitan Ben-David to Orléan la-Chevalier, a top adviser to French President Emmanuel Macron, during the latter’s visit in Jerusalem on Monday, according to Israel’s Channel 10 news.

[AlMasdar] The September 17th Sochi Agreement may not have ended the hostilities between the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and murderous Moslem forces in northwest Syria, but it did play an imperative role in decreasing the Russian air activity over the Idlib, Hama, Aleppo, and Latakia provinces.
The month of October marks the first time since September of 2015 that the Russian Aerospace Forces have not bombed any murderous Moslem targets in northern Syria, a military source told al-Masdar News this morning.
According to the military source in the historic provincial capital of the Hama Governorate, the Russian Aerospace Forces have been mostly grounded over northwest Syria this month.
The reason for their lack of air activity is due to the ongoing Sochi Agreement that called for the establishment of a 15-20km buffer zone along the front-lines in northwestern Syria.
While the Russian Aerospace Forces can be seen carrying out reconnaissance missions over northwest Syria, they have not actually engaged any Death Eater that are present in the surveyed area.
In reality, this could change in November if the Sochi Agreement breaks down; however, it appears that both Russia and The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...Qatar's colony in Asia Minor.... are working to maintain the buffer zone in northwest Syria as long as they can.
[PULSE.NG] The button men who allegedly kidnapped a Seaman simply identified as Omoniyi Kola have demanded a sum of N4 million ransom to release him.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Delta Command, DSP Andrew Aniamaka, confirmed the development to newsmen on Thursday in Warri.
Aniamaka said the victim was kidnapped on Sept. 29, on the Sapele/Benin expressway adding that effort was on to rescue him unhurt.
"There is a report of kidnap. The person allegedly kidnapped is a Seaman. His name is Omoniyi K. D.
"He was last seen in the evening of Sept. 29, when he drove out of the Naval Engineering College, Sapele, in his Toyota Picnic vehicle.
"The hoodlums called with his number demanding for Four Million Naira ransom.
"The Police are doing everything possible with all the relevant Security Agencies toward his rescue and the apprehension of the hoodlums.
"All hands are on deck toward his rescue," Aniamaka said.
The police front man said that some arrests were made in connection with the crime but declined to disclose the number of persons tossed in the clink Keep yer hands where we can see 'em, if yez please! so far.
"Our concern at this moment is seeing that the victim is secured out of the den of the kidnappers unhurt and everyone involved in the crime is made to face the law," he said.

[PAGESIX] Being first in line for the British throne may have gone to Prince Charles’ head.
The Prince of Wales, 69, has reportedly earned a special nickname among the staff at Clarence House: The Pampered Prince. That’s because, according to Amazon Prime’s new documentary "Serving the Royals: Inside the Firm," Charles needs help doing just about everything.
"His pajamas are pressed every morning, his shoelaces are pressed flat with an iron, the bath plug has to be in a certain position and the water temperature has to be just tepid," Princess Diana’s former butler, Paul Burrell, revealed in the documentary, per Yahoo.
Burrell even said that Charles "has his valets squeeze one inch of toothpaste onto his toothbrush every morning."
The butler’s duties reportedly extend to fetching items just a few feet away from the prince. "On one occasion, he rang me from his library and he said, ’Oh Paul, a letter from the Queen seems to have fallen into my wastepaper bin. Would you pick it out?'" Burrell claimed.
This isn’t the first time that Prince Charles’ odd behavior has made headlines. A recently published book by Tom Bowers, "Rebel Prince, The Power, Passion And Defiance Of Prince Charles," includes interviews with more than 120 people who share outlandish stories about working for the royals.

[NYPOST] Two Florida high school students were so furious to find out their science teacher was sleeping with both of them that they told the man’s wife he was having the affairs, district officials said.
Both teens are now former students at Fletcher High School in Neptune Beach, where they told police they had sex with Corey French, 30, both at the school and in his home, according to an administrative report by the Duval County School Board obtained by WJXT.
The 16- and 17-year-old students said it wasn’t until they found out that French had a sexual relationship with both of them that they confronted his wife ‐ even supplying her pictures as evidence of the trysts, according to the report.
French was locked away Book 'im, Mahmoud! on two counts of unlawful sexual activity in September. Police said both girls told Sherlocks they had consensual sex with French while he taught at the school between 2015 and 2017.
The former students told police that French confessed his love to them, and even planned a getaway to Colorado or Alaska with one of the teens, although she realized that it was likely little more than a far-fetched fantasy. One of the teens even scuttled her plans to go to college in hopes that French would leave his wife to be with her, according to the report.
But both girls are now refusing to press charges, complicating matters for Sherlocks.
"The number one reason we will see is that they don’t want to bring any more attention to themselves or to their families," attorney Gene Nichols, who is not affiliated with the case, told WJXT. "They’re victims of crimes, and it’s a difficult being a victim of a crime."

[Khaama (Afghanistan)] The Commander of the NATO ...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A cautionary tale of cost-benefit analysis.... -led Resolute Support Mission and U.S. forces in Afghanistan Gen. Scott Miller has said the conflict in Afghanistan could only be ended through a political solution, emphasizing that the Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... also realizes that they cannot win militarily.
In an exclusive interview with NBC News Gen. Miller said he recognizes that the solution in Afghanistan will be political, not military.
"This is not going to be won militarily," Miller said. "This is going to a political solution."
"My assessment is the Taliban also realizes they cannot win militarily. So if you realize you can’t win militarily at some point, fighting is just, people start asking why. So you do not necessarily wait us out, but I think now is the time to start working through the political piece of this conflict."
However, denial ain't just a river in Egypt... he said "We are more in an offensive mindset and don’t wait for the Taliban to come and hit [us]."
Gen. Miller further added "So that was an adjustment that we made early on. We needed to because of the amount of casualties that were being absorbed."

it could be won if enough Afghans really supported the govt and were sufficiently competent to make up an effective military force
but sadly a huge number don't support the govt and of those that do a lot are beholden to tribal interests above the central govt and of those that aren't many are so poorly educated that they make poor soldies
and then there are many afghans who actually support the Taliban or the Islamic State

[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] The Russian Foreign Ministry commented on the news that Moscow knew what happened to the dead Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi and provided information to The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...Qatar's colony in Asia Minor.... , saying that the issue was exaggerated by a huge amount of intrigues and fabrications.
"Our country has announced from the first day that it is necessary to take one step: to conduct a thorough and impartial investigation," ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told a news conference on Thursday.
In response to a request to comment on social networking sites and some media outlets that Russian intelligence knew what had happened and provided information to Ottoman Turkish intelligence, she said: "It is frightening that this tragedy is magnified with so much political machinations and fabrications that we see today".
Zakharova stressed that there were "a huge number of leaks" about the circumstances of the killing of the Saudi journalist despite the lack of official data on the issue.
The spokeswoman stressed the need not to be dragged behind these leaks, noting that Russia will issue its comments on Khashoggi only after the parties concerned conclude their official investigations into the incident

[PULSE.NG] Yemen's government said Thursday it was ready to re-start peace talks with Houthis, amid growing international pressure to end the years-long conflict.
The Yemeni government said it welcomed "all efforts to restore peace" after the UN called for the warring parties to enter negotiations.
"Yemen ...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of. Except for a tiny handfull of Jews everthing there is very Islamic... is ready to immediately launch talks on the process of confidence-building, primarily the release of all detainees and prisoners, as well as those who have been kidnapped or subject to enforced disappearance," the government said in a statement carried by the state-run Saba news agency.

[Khaama (Afghanistan)] Unknown button men attacked a police check post in Kabul city late on Wednesday night leaving at least two coppersmaimed.
The incident took place in the vicinity of the 5th police district of the city after the button men hurled hand grenades in the check post.
The security sources are saying that the check post was attacked in Spin Kali area of the city, confirming that two coppers sustained injuries.
No individual or group including the Talibs has so far grabbed credit behind the incident.
This comes as a jacket wallah detonated his explosives near Pul Charkhi prison earlier on Wednesday.
According to the security officials, the suicide bomber was attempting to attack the prison staff vehicle and detonated his explosives after he was identified by police.
However, man does not live by words alone, despite the fact that sometimes he has to eat them... the attack left at least seven people dead and a number of others maimed.

[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Millions of Paks including Prime Minister of Pakistain welcomed the Supreme Court’s landmark judgment of releasing Asia Bibi, a death row prisoner accused of blasphemy.
Although, a handful of hardliners denounced the judgement and erupted into the streets to protest her release, majority of Paks breathed a sigh of relief that an innocent practicing Christian woman, a mother of five, was cleared of charges of blasphemy, a crime punishable by death the poor lady never committed.
Many hailed the verdict as an important victory for religious tolerance in Pakistain. Asia Bibi, a practicing Christian laborer in Pakistain’s Punjab

I sometimes have doubts, I confess,
As most Muslim states are a mess,
But the land of the Paki,
Though others are wacky,
Is perfect! Why mess with success?
[TENNESSEAN] Death row inmate Edmund Zagorski died 7:26 p.m. CDT Thursday after Tennessee prison officials electrocuted him with the electric chair. He was 63.
He is the 134th person put to death by Tennessee since 1916 and the second person this year after Billy Ray Irick’s execution by lethal injection on Aug. 9. He is the first person to die by electric chair since Daryl Horton's execution in 2007.
Zagorski was convicted in the April 1983 murders of John Dale Dotson, of Hickman County, and Jimmy Porter, of Dickson. Prosecutors argued Zagorski lured them into the woods in Robertson County with the promise to sell them marijuana, and then he shot them, slit their throats and stole their money.
Two minutes before it was set to begin at 7 p.m., the U.S. Supreme Court denied Zagorski's appeal on the grounds of the unconstitutionality of choosing between the electric chair and lethal injection.
As dark clouds loomed over Riverbend Maximum Security Institution and the sunset changed the sky from bright pink to black, a police-escorted van arrived.
Eight people believed to be family members of the victims entered the prison to witness the execution.
They waited in front of a covered large window that looked into the execution chamber where on the other side of the glass Zagorski sat pinned in the electric chair, held down by buckles and straps with electrodes fastened to his feet.
The blinds opened for the rest of the witnesses to see Zagorski dressed in his cotton clothes, smiling and grimacing to the group.
Zagorski pronounced his last words: "Let’s Rock."
He sat smiling in the wired chair as prison staff placed a wet sponge that had been soaked in salt, and metal helmet on his freshly shaven head.
Then his face was covered with a black shroud so the witnesses couldn't see his face as he was getting jolted.
The warden gave the signal to proceed. Zagorski lifted his right hand several times in what looked like attempts of a wave, before he clenched his hands into a fist as the first current ran 1,750 volts of electricity through his body for 20 seconds.
There was a short pause before the second jolt was administered for 15 seconds.
The doctor overseeing the death, appeared in view to check on Zagorski’s vitals.
Zagorski was dead. The blinds into the chamber closed.
Ten minutes later, the victims' families exited the building and drove away in the van without speaking publicly.

John Dale Dotson, of Hickman County, and Jimmy Porter, of Dickson did not get any due process or appeal to the Supreme Court. They could not be reached for comment.
[PULSE.NG] The White House imposed "tough" new sanctions against Venezuela on Thursday, denouncing Caracas as being part of a "troika of tyranny" that includes Cuba and Nicaragua.
National Security Advisor John Bolton told an audience at Miami Dade College that the sanctions would particularly target Venezuela's gold sector, which "has been used as a bastion to finance illicit activities, to fill its coffers and to support criminal groups."
Bolton, a longtime foreign policy hawk, said the elections of far-right Jair Bolsonaro in Brazil and conservative Ivan Duque in Colombia were "positive signs for the future of the region" that demonstrate a regional commitment to free markets and "accountable governance."
"The troika of tyranny in this hemisphere will not endure forever," Bolton said in prepared remarks, referring to Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua.
"Like all oppressive regimes and ideologies, it too will meet its demise."
The new sanctions against Venezuela came in the form of an executive order signed by President Donald Trump ...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States... The sanctions on Venezuela's gold take aim at an important revenue source for the regime of President Nicolas Maduro, which relies on "corrupt or deceptive" transactions, Bolton said.
He also announced the State Department has added new sanctions on more than two dozen entities owned or controlled by the Cuban military and intelligence services.
Bolton's "troika of tyranny" label is reminiscent of George W. Bush calling Iran, Iraq and North Korea an "axis of evil" in 2002.
In the months after, Bolton, who at the time was undersecretary of state, named other countries including Cuba as being worthy of the list.
The leaders of Venezuela and Nicaragua are "desperate" autocrats who had joined Cuban counterparts in the "same oppressive behavior of unjust imprisonment, torture and murder," Bolton said.

[DAWN] Two polio ...Poliomyelitis is a disease caused by infection with the poliovirus. Between 1840 and the 1950s, polio was a worldwide epidemic. Since the development of polio vaccines the disease has been largely wiped out in the civilized world. However, since the vaccine is known to make Moslem pee-pees shrink and renders females sterile, bookish, and unsubmissive it is not widely used by the turban and automatic weapons set... cases have been found in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa's Bajaur area, the Emergency Operation Centre (EOC) for polio in the tribal districts confirmed on Thursday.
They said that laboratory reports of children's stool samples confirmed they had polio, adding that neither child exhibited visible indicators of polio at the time of stool collection.
According to the Health Department, the virus was confirmed in a five-year-old girl from Kut Kot Union Council and a seven-year-old boy from Largatkolay area. The department said that the girl had been administered the anti-polio vaccine seven times.
Babar Bin Atta, the prime minister's focal person for polio eradication, said that they would soon meet with the KP Governor Shah Farman to devise a strategy and take special measures for prevention of the disease.
According to Health Department officials, a three-day immunisation campaign will begin in the tribal districts on Nov 12. The campaign seeks to immunise over 300,000 children.
Five cases of polio have been discovered in KP, according to Health Department officials. Two more polio cases were confirmed in Bloody Karachi ...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous... last month, while three others were reported in Balochistan ...the Pak province bordering Kandahar and Uruzgun provinces in Afghanistan and Sistan Baluchistan in Iran. [DAWN] Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry said on Thursday that the government and opposition were on the same page regarding the government's strategy to tackle the law and order situation in the wake of protests spearheaded by religio-political parties against the acquittal of Asia Bibi.
A government delegation, upon Prime Minister Imran Khan ... aka Taliban Khan, who is the lightweight's lightweight... 's directives, met with Leader of the Opposition Shahbaz Sharif ...Pak dynastic politician, brother of PM Nawaz Sharif, chief minister of Punjab... , after which the information minister briefed the press in Islamabad.
"We have taken Shahbaz Sharif and Bilawal Bhutto into confidence regarding the future course of action," Chaudhry said, adding that the opposition had assured the government of "full cooperation" on its strategy.
"We will move forward with the opposition's support," he said, adding that any steps taken by the government would be in accordance with the wishes of the Assembly.
The information minister said that two focal persons have been appointed ‐ Naveed Qamar by the Pakistain Peoples Party (PPP) and Ayaz Sadiq by the Moslem League-Nawaz (PML-N).
Chaudhry said the government had also initiated "talks" with the protesters.
"Negotiations are ongoing in Lahore and Rawalpindi and I will be able to say something about them later," he said, but warned that violence would not be ignored.
"All those found involved in defying the writ of the state will have to pay the price."

[DAWN] The Supreme Court on Wednesday issued its much-anticipated judgement in the 'Asia Bibi v. The State, etc' case, reversing earlier judgments handed down by the Lahore High Court as well as a trial court and thereby overturning the conviction of Asia Bibi in the blasphemy case against her.
The three-judge bench subsequently ordered the 50-something mother-of-four's immediate release from jail, where she had been languishing for 9-odd years.
The Supreme Court's judgement ‐ a seismic event in the country's history, judicial or otherwise ‐ heavily references Islamic teachings and tradition, but ultimately relies on an assessment of facts and evidence to support the overturning of the earlier conviction.

Was IRB there? I miss him. No, really. I thought he swallowed himself leaving only his puckered butthole to scream.
[DAWN] Hours before members of religious organizations spread across country to protest a Supreme Court decision to free Aasia Bibi, the United States urged Pakistain to immediately enact legislation that formally proscribes radical religious groups.
The US suggestion followed a decision announced last week for ending a ban on two radical religious organizations, Jamaat-ud-Dawa ...the front organization of Lashkar-e-Taiba... (JuD) and Falah-e-Insaniyat ...the current false nose and mustache of Jamaat ud-Dawa, which was the false nose and mustache of Lashkar e-Taiba... Foundation (FIF).
The United States has designated both as terrorist groups.
The Pak media reported that the two outfits temporarily came off the list of banned outfits in Pakistain because the ordinance that proscribed them under a UN resolution had lapsed.
The new Pak government is working on a proposal to extend the ban.
The development underscores the importance of Pakistain "urgently enacting legislation that formally proscribes" both JuD and FIF, a spokesperson for the US State Department told news hounds in Washington.
"The expiration of the ban on JuD and FIF runs counter to Pakistain’s commitment to work with the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) to address weaknesses in its counter-terrorism financing regime," said the US official.
"As we have said before, the United States is deeply concerned that this development will jeopardise Pakistain’s ability to meet its commitments under UN Security Council Resolution 1267 to freeze and prevent the raising and moving of funds belonging to or associated with UN-designated terrorist groups," the spokesperson said.
In February 2018, former president Mamnoon Hussain signed an amendment to the antiterrorism law that allowed the state to ban charities linked to Hafiz Saeed ...founder of Lashkar-e-Taiba and its false-mustache offshoot Jamaat-ud-Dawa. The United Nations declared the JuD a terrorist organization in 2008 and Hafiz Saeed a terrorist as its leader. Hafiz, JuD and LeT are wholly-owned subsidiaries of the Pak intel apparatus, so that amounted to squat... , like Jamaat-ud-Dawa and Falah-e-Insaniyat Foundation.
The Constitution, however, requires a presidential amendment to be ratified or renewed by the parliament within four months of its issuance.
Recently, Hafiz Saeed filed a petition, arguing that the amendment to Pakistain’s antiterrorism law had become unconstitutional as the parliament failed to ratify it.
Hafiz Saeed initially headed Lashkar-e-Taiba ...the Army of the Pure, an Ahl-e-Hadith terror organization founded by Hafiz Saeed. LeT masquerades behind the Jamaat-ud-Dawa facade within Pakistain and periodically blows things up and kills people in India. Despite the fact that it is banned, always an interesting concept in Pakistain, the organization remains an blatant tool and perhaps an arm of the ISI... (LeT), formed in the 1980s, which was designated a terrorist outfit by the US, the United Nations ...an idea whose time has gone... , Britannia, Russia and the European Union ...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing... . In 2012, the United States announced a $10 million bounty for Hafiz Saeed’s arrest. Pakistain has also banned the group.
But US officials say that Hafiz Saeed has evaded the ban on LeT by creating multiple other organizations, including JuD and FIF, that work as LeT’s fronts.
Jamaat-ud-Dawa and Falah-e-Insaniyat Foundation manage a large charity network with the help of thousands of volunteers.

[Daily Caller] The CIA during the Obama administration read congressional emails discussing whistleblower complaints about activities within the intelligence community, according to newly declassified documents provided to the Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday.
The documents show that on March 28, 2014, I. Charles McCullough III, who then served as the Intelligence Community’s watchdog, wrote to Congress that CIA’s security division had read emails exchanged between congressional staffers and the top official in the Intelligence Community Inspector General office that protects whistleblowers.
CIA security said that the emails were picked up during a "routine counterintelligence (CI) monitoring of Government security systems," according to McCullough, who provided the details in documents known as Congressional Notifications, or CNs.
"Most of these emails concerned pending and developing whistleblower complaints," wrote McCullough.
McCullough also said that CIA security provided reports of the monitoring to offices where some of the whistleblowers worked.
McCullough said that though the routine monitoring was legal, he was concerned "about the potential compromise to whistleblower confidentiality and the consequent ’chilling effect’ that the present CI monitoring system might have on Intelligence Community whistleblowing."
The release of the documents brings to an end a four-year fight between Iowa GOP Sen. Chuck Grassley, the chairman of the Senate Committee on the Judiciary, and the intelligence community. (RELATED: Grassley Defends Whistleblower Law)
[ClaremontInstitute] In 2010, Claremont Institute Senior Fellow Angelo Codevilla reintroduced the notion of "the ruling class" back into American popular discourse. In 2017, he described contemporary American politics as a "cold civil war." Now he applies the "logic of revolution" to our current political scene.
[WSJ] The final week of a midterm election is always brutal. Candidates rush from event to event, staffers debate the campaign’s closing message, fundraisers scrabble for the last dollar, and volunteers beg supporters to turn out to vote.
Get-out-the-vote efforts now assume special importance. Careful planning, precise targeting, months of preparation, and vast amounts of volunteer hours now either pay off in early and absentee voting as well as Election Day turnout, or they don’t and campaigns sink. But initial reports are good for Republicans. Last week NBC News found "GOP-affiliated voters have surpassed Democratic-affiliated ones in early voting in Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Montana, Tennessee and Texas"‐all of which have key races for Senate, governor or both.
Nevada is the only state with a crucial Senate race in which NBC reported a Democratic advantage in early voting. That’s accurate but incomplete. As of Tuesday night, Nevada’s early-voting results show an over 3-percentage-point swing toward the Republicans from the last election’s early voting. Since Democrats carried the state by 2.4 points in 2016, the GOP looks to be in the hunt for the state’s Senate and gubernatorial races.
Early voting also suggests the GOP has made gains in Arizona. As of Monday night, 464,491 Republicans had voted, compared with 356,106 Democrats and 252,810 independent and other early voters. That represents a 5.4-point swing to Republicans in a state they carried by 3.6 points in 2016. That’s good news for GOP Gov. Doug Ducey and Senate hopeful Martha McSally.
Florida Republican Senate candidate Rick Scott and gubernatorial standard-bearer Ron DeSantis also look to be benefiting from early voting. As of Tuesday night, Republicans have cast 41.9% of early and absentee ballots, versus 40.1% by Democrats. This represents a 3-point swing toward Republicans in a state President Trump carried by 1.2 points in 2016.
These early results‐and others from Indiana, Montana, Tennessee and Texas‐suggest the GOP’s odds of holding the Senate remain strong. Yet early voting is only a preview of the election‐and not always an accurate one. Trends favoring Republicans may not continue. The Republican get-out-the-vote machine could falter; Democratic numbers could improve; independents could break decisively against the GOP; or soft Republicans could cast protest votes, diminishing the party’s apparent improvements. Moreover, the GOP early-voting advantage could turn out to be fool’s gold: Republicans may be transferring votes from Election Day to early or absentee ballots without expanding the universe of GOP voters. Republicans should not take anything for granted and instead keep operating at flank speed.
Razor-thin margins could decide many races in this election. In 2006, control of the House was settled in 16 contests where the difference between the winning Democrats and the losing Republicans was a cumulative 115,388 votes out of three million total, or an average margin of 7,212 votes. This time, control of the House and Senate will also come down to a few votes in what’s expected to be the highest midterm turnout since 1966.
Last-minute events could alter the outcome. The electorate’s response to the horrific anti-Semitic massacre in Pittsburgh, the explosive devices mailed to liberal and Democratic figures, and the caravan of Central Americans making its way to the U.S. border could all prove crucial in close contests. The president’s approval ratings have dipped from last week’s highs and Republicans are doing worse on the generic congressional ballot.
Victory depends on the energy and effectiveness each party brings to its get-out-the-vote effort. But getting the true believers out to vote‐as important as that is‐won’t be enough. To win, each party needs to win over a critical mass of those Americans who can still be persuaded. That’s the other key challenge for Republicans and Democrats with less than a week to go.

Good mix of combat support and Core MP. Given, many of the salty MP's are in the hot zones, this mix should be interesting if cross platform logistics works. But seeing the line up, the HQ will be formed with very experienced units in this endeavor.
And if you need any other help, I was Personally handling this the last time 30,000 people were streaming into here. It was a little known place called GTMO - but then with Haitians and Cubans.

so other than a couple of combat units, treating this s a "police"/public relations action? I remember them calling Korea a "police action"; look how that turned out.

If I recall correctly "salty" is a mild term for some of those Military Police who served in Afghanistan and Iraq . Again IIRC , They did convoy duty, base protection and body guard . They whipped some ass with firearms and did interrogation on the survivors. "Shoot First, Ask Questions later. "
[Free Beacon] Senator Jim Inhofe (R., Okla.) announced Thursday a proposal to fully fund a border wall along the southwestern border, offsetting the cost by reducing illegal immigrants' access to federal welfare.
Skipping down to the 'how.'
Specifically, the WALL Act would require a work-authorized social security number in order to claim refundable tax credits (e.g., the EITC or Child Tax Credit)‐under the status quo, only a child needs a valid SSN, not his or her parent, to collect the CTC. The bill would also require applicants for federal welfare programs‐TANF, SNAP, etc.‐to actually verify their citizenship using E-Verify, rather than simply "declare" that they are a citizen. Alright, so I'll ask the pregnant question. Why aren't these measures already in place ?
[engadget] Amazon isn't wasting too much time in expanding its 4-star brick-and-mortar concept, as it opened a second location in Lone Tree, near Denver, Colorado on Thursday. It follows the first store, which launched in Manhattan in September, and the company will soon open another in Berkeley, California.
The store sells products that Amazon users have rated four stars or higher, ranging from electronics and kitchen goods to homeware and toys. Prime members can claim discounts on some items. The range also includes best-selling products from Amazon, along with trending new items.
The 4-star stores are still in their early stages, though it makes sense that Amazon would want to open up more in time for the holiday season. The company's physical retail footprint is expanding. It also has around 20 bookstores and six cashier-less Amazon Go stores, along with some pop-up kiosks, AmazonFresh Pickup locations and, of course, its 460 Whole Foods grocery stores.
[DailyMail] In an amazing ad, New York Democratic state assemblyman Dov Hikind, an orthodox Jew, shows himself being inundated with letters from Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) asking him for a donation, and finally cuts loose with the manifold reasons he would never support the Democratic Party, erupting, "Dear Senator Schumer: Today’s Democratic Party does not deserve our support!"
The ad begins with Hikind arriving at his home, and finding a letter on his doorstep. The camera zooms in on the envelope, showing it with Schumer’s return address. An animated cloud appears on the screen with the caption inside it reading, "Give money to the Democrats?"
A clock appears on the screen with its hands moving furiously to indicate the passage of time; then Hikind arrives home again to pick up another letter on his doorstep. As he opens it, the cloud reappears, this time saying, "Again, Senator?!" The camera focuses on the text of the letter, which reads, "Senate Majority 2018 exists to run independent, take-no-prisoners campaign and fight back against the right-wing fundraising machine." Hikind shrugs, then enters his home.
Back to the furiously moving clock: Hikind arrives home after being dropped off there; he picks up a third letter deposited on his doorstep, perusing the envelope as the cloud appears; this time the cloud reads, "He’s got to be kidding!"
The clock runs again; this time Hikind is seated in his dining room studying a Jewish text when his wife comes through the front door, holding yet another envelope from Schumer. And then the fun begins.
I certainly hope this is not the Administration's plan. The dems. liberal federal judges, and the ACLU will waste no time labeling migrant tent cities 'Trump's concentration camps.' These people must not reach the US.
[The Western Journal] Former Maricopa County, Arizona, Sheriff Joe Arpaio offered his support for President Donald Trump’s plans to house migrants in tent cities while they await their asylum hearings, arguing American soldiers fighting overseas live in them, and the move also might help serve as a deterrent.
In an interview on Fox News on Monday, Trump told host Laura Ingraham that his administration will detain the migrants in a U.S.-bound caravan if they cross the border illegally.
"We’re catching, we’re not releasing," the president said. "If they apply for asylum, we’re going to hold them until such time as their trial takes place."
"Where? We have the facilities?" Ingraham asked.
"We’re going to put up ‐ we’re going to build tent cities," Trump replied. "We’re going to put tents up all over the place. We’re not going to build structures and spend all of this, you know, hundreds of millions of dollars ‐ we’re going to have tents. They’re going to be very nice. They are going to wait, and if they don’t get asylum, they get out."

[Breitbart] In a Thursday speech in the Republican-leaning suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia, Oprah Winfrey urged voters to make history by backing Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams in next week’s election, saying she refuses to allow the sacrifices of those who were "lynched" and "oppressed" to be "in vain."
Abrams is locked in a tight race with her Republican rival, Georgia secretary of state Brian Kemp, as she tries to become the nation’s first black female governor.
Oprah Winfrey praised Abrams as a "change-maker" who represents the values of all Georgians. The talk show icon, who rarely makes political endorsements, drew cheers when she said she’s a registered independent who was not in Georgia at anyone’s request.

Oprah, you are worse than the KKK. They were honest about being worthless subhuman vermin at least. You are just showing the whip to keep your own people on the slave masters plantation.

Lynchings? That tends to be a Democrat thing. Oprah, does Justice Thomas, Herman Cain, and Justice Kavanaugh count as lynchings or attempted lynchings?
#7
Supposedly, Oprah has "temporarily" stepped down from her job at CBS's 60 Minutes. But I'm sure she'll be back. I think we can therefore assume that 60 Minutes in particular, and CBS in general, is about as objective and impartial in their news reporting as George Stephanopoulos at ABC, which is about as objective and impartial as Hillary Clinton, every bit as objective and impartial as Stacey Abrams. In other words, CBS is nothing more than a propaganda outlet for the Democrat Party.

[FoxNews] After confirmation fight, Kavanaugh declines cash raised for his defense. Class act. So much for baseball ticket dept.
Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh has reportedly turned down nearly $600,000 that had been raised in his name after sexual misconduct allegations were leveled against him during his confirmation process.
A GoFundMe page through which the funds were raised had a message saying Kavanaugh would not accept the money in order to avoid judicial ethics violations, the Washington Examiner reported.
"I've spoken to a former clerk for Judge Kavanaugh who told me that Kavanaugh’s supporters loved the outpouring of support from this GoFundMe," said conservative blogger John Hawkins, who launched the page Sept. 24. "Judicial ethics rules caution judges against permitting the use of the prestige of judicial office for fund-raising purposes. Justice Kavanaugh will not accept any proceeds from the campaign, nor will he direct that any proceeds from the campaign be provided to any third party."
Instead, Hawkins said he will donate the money to the Archdiocese of Washington, which operates the Catholic Youth Organization where Kavanaugh used to coach a girls’ basketball team.
[Free Beacon] Over 100 Missouri farmers signed their names in support of an ad released Tuesday that targets Sen. Claire McCaskill (D., Mo.) for policies they say harm Missouri agriculture and its workers.
The Missouri Republican Party launched the radio ad, titled, "Hogwash," highlighting how McCaskill "sells" farmers out for Washington, D.C. liberals and lobbyists.
"Our way of life is under attack by D.C. liberals and lobbyists, and McCaskill's been with them every step of the way," the ad narrator says. "She cozies up with environmental extremists who want to put Missouri farms out of business. She voted for WOTUS to give the government more control of our private land. And worse, McCaskill voted to raise the death tax."
"A vote for Claire McCaskill is a vote for Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer, and it's a vote against President Trump and Missouri farmers. Claire McCaskill is one of us? That's hogwash," the narrator continues.
The ad follows McCaskill saying in October that she didn't care about losing votes in Missouri's "bootheel," the rural southeastern tip of the state. "If we do our job in St. Louis County, you know, I can give up a few votes in the bootheel," McCaskill said.
The 107 Missouri farmers who signed in support of the ad include Blake Hurst, the president of the Missouri Farm Bureau, and Neal Bredehoeft, the former president of the American Soybean Association.
[SayAnythingBlog] Sending out mailers backing a conservative independent candidate in the Secretary of State race isn't the only way in which North Dakota Democrats are trying to mislead voters.
A reader alerted me to this curious message on Facebook which tells voters they may lose their hunting licenses in other states if they vote:
If the difference is big enough, it doesn’t matter if they cheat. Get out and vote, and make the difference big enough.

[Townhall] Speaking from the White House Thursday afternoon, President Trump announced illegal aliens who are detained after crossing the southern border with Mexico will no longer be released into the interior of the United States. Instead, they will be detained until deportation. Careful Jake, over their heads with the tracers in 3-5 round bursts. Yep, it's an a**hole and elbows stampede, just like the first sergeant said. Look at em go !
"We're stopping people at the border," Trump said. "This is an invasion...We are building massive numbers of tents and we will hold them in tents."
According to current law, illegal aliens from Mexico can be detained and immediately deported. Illegal aliens from Central America are required to be released after 20 days in detention if they are traveling with children. Because the processing for illegal aliens -- claiming asylum or otherwise -- is lengthy, these individuals are released into the United States. Afterward, they rarely show up for court dates and start building their lives in neighborhoods across the country. Trump said that policy ends today and illegal aliens will be detained until they are fully processed to deportation.
President Trump's announcement comes as a number of caravans make their way from Central America, through Mexico and to the United States. It has been repeatedly confirmed violent actors make up some parts of the traveling population.

I have no doubt a studio is being prepared even now to enact some footage showing soldiers mowing down women and children - for the media. Fake but true.
#7
I would not be surprised to learn of a'martial law' sector being ordered with strict controls over entrance and exit. The potential for mischief by military imposters and crooked media iis certainly something to consider.
#13
The number from the caravans is a drop in the bucket compared to the yearly load but it should e enough to convince voters and congress of the necessity to build a wall.
Trump should (1) Process them peacefully and send them all back (2) Pass a law stating that if you hire an illegal alien you will pay super-horrible fines to screw with those that avoid the processing. If nobody hires them they will leave again. (3) Anyone that comes with family should be flown back to Southern Mexico where they were offered asylum.
If they throw rocks hit them with an ultrasonic and make them crap themselves but don't fire bullets as that will just hand the Democrats 12 years of election victories.
[PULSE.NG] At least 12 non-combatants were killed in multiple Boko Haram ... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality... jihadist attacks targeting two villages and a camp for those displaced by the bloody conflict in northeastern Nigeria, civilian militia and residents told AFP Thursday.
Jihadists in seven trucks late on Wednesday attacked Bulaburin and Kofa villages as well as a camp in Dalori village outside the Borno state capital of Maiduguri.
"The Lions of Islam attacked and completely burnt Bulaburin and Kofa villages and burnt half the Dalori two IDP (internally displaced persons) camp," militia leader Babakura Kolo told AFP.
"They killed nine people in Bulaburin, two people in Dalori, and one in Kofa and looted food supplies before setting them on fire," Kolo said.
The attack was launched in Kofa where the jihadists opened fire indiscriminately and killed one person as residents fled, said Kofa resident Musa Goni.
"They then moved to nearby Bulaburin where they bumped off nine people and burnt the village after stealing food," Goni said.
At Dalori 2 IDP camp, which houses 10,000 homeless people, the jihadists engaged troops and civilian militia guarding the camp in a shootout before overrunning the makeshift facility, civilian militia camp member Solomon Adamu said.
"When the Boko Haram button men came they stopped on the road overlooking the camp and started firing," said Adamu who took part in the fight.
"Soldiers and civilian JTF (militia) at the gate engaged them in shootout but were forced to withdraw into the camp because we were out gunned," he said.
Residents were forced to flee nd two were killed while several were maimed, according to Adamu.
The jihadists invaded the camp after overrunning troops and the militia and "burnt half the camp" by setting fires and firing rocket-propelled grenades on buildings.
"One grenade didn't explode and is still lying in the camp, waiting for bomb disposal units to evacuate it," Adamu said.
The area has been attacked multiple times before by the Boko Haram faction loyal to Abubakar Shekau ... the lunatic leader of Boko Haram who has been reported dead at least eleven times, pledged his body and soul to ISIS, told his fighters to hang it up once or twice, and been fired by the Caliph and refused to step down ... Dalori, which is about 15 kilometres (nine miles) from Maiduguri, houses about 50,000 people in makeshift camps.

He’s adorable. This is like that professional wrestler who who was governor for Montana for a bit.
[Breitbart] Rapper and R&B star Akon claimed in a recent interview that he is "very seriously" considering mounting a presidential bid in 2020. The shorter list may be the Dems who do NOT wish to become president.
"I’ve been thinking about running for 2020 very seriously," Akon told Newsweek. "But I didn’t want to just do it because I feel like I want to continue doing what I’m doing and hope that builds me enough momentum [for people] to say, ’You know what, if you run we’ll support you.'"
Akon, whose real name is Aliaune Damala Badara Thiam, was born in St. Louis, Missouri and spent much of his childhood in Senegal. The 45-year-old entrepreneur, who is developing plans for a futuristic cryptocurrency-run city in West Africa, suggested President Donald Trump’s immigration policies have help nudged him toward launching a White House run.
"I feel a lot more unsafe. I feel unempowered. Honestly, I feel it’s gonna be a fight," the singer said of a possible bid. "I feel like I should be always prepared for the unexpected. I feel very uncomfortable. And I feel a lot of Americans do; even some white Americans feel that way because they’re watching backlash of his decisions. It’s not what’s happening now, because it’s clear it’s creating a whole bunch of divide today."
"But I think tomorrow that impact is going to be so much more devastating," he added.
Akon previously raised the prospect of taking on President Trump, saying in a June interview with Variety that the administration has left him "personally disappointed"
"There’s no compassion, no love for the everyday person outside of his base, and even the base, I don’t think they’re happy with what’s happening," Akon told the entertainment news outlet. "At first, I used to always tell myself that I would never do it. But now I’m starting to realize through experience that the only way to make change is to be in it."
[The Western Journal] Following the mass shooting at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, a Colorado Springs area gun range owner is offering to help arm rabbis, according to KRDO-TV.
The businessman is willing to give a free AR-15 and 100 rounds of ammunition to any local rabbi who wants one.
The offer was made by Mel Bernstein, who is Jewish himself and the owner of Dragonman’s, which is a gun range, military museum paintball center, and weapon retailer outside Colorado Springs.
The value of the gifts that Bernstein hopes to give the local religious leaders is an estimated $650 each, and the store was clear that each rabbi would still have to pass a background check in order to take possession of the weapon.
KOAA reported that Bernstein would also offer training to go along with the rabbis’ newly acquired firearms.
KOAA reports that some rabbis are very interested in the offers, others not so much. And also:
We also spoke to another woman who attends services at various synagogues. She asked to remain anonymous. She said the offer of the free AR-15 was nice, but the weapon is too big. She didn’t have a problem with a rabbi having a handgun. She said that many of the people who attend with her are actually already carrying weapons and that they do so discreetly.
God helps those who help themselves. Here we see the spirit of the Maccabees made manifest.
[DAWN] Pakistain’s Christian community rejoiced on Wednesday at the acquittal of Aasia Bibi, who spent years on death row for blasphemy, saying their prayers had been answered after years of begging for justice.
Christians make up around two per cent of the country’s 210 million population.
Wednesday’s acquittal of the illiterate mother represented a rare victory for the community ‐ with Christians in Islamabad hailing the Supreme Court’s decision.
"Justice has been done," said Reverend Javed Masih, who heads a Presbyterian church in a Christian slum in the capital.
"We are happy that the law is still ruling in this country and that’s why Aasia Bibi has been set free," added another Christian resident Shafaqat Masih.
"We are extremely happy that God has responded to our prayers. The church of Pakistain was praying for years for the release of our sister," Reverend Masih said, adding that a special worship service was being held to celebrate Bibi’s release.

[DAWN] Minister of State for Interior Sheheryar Afridi, during an address to the National Assembly on Thursday, informed politicians that the government is in talks with religio-political parties protesting the Supreme Court's Oct 31 judgement in the Asia Bibi case.
Afridi said the nation would soon hear good news.
The minister categorically declared that there would be no compromise on the rule of law and supremacy of law. "This is the message that this House needs to convey to the whole world," he said.
"No one needs to get a certificate from anyone else, no one can dictate to anyone else," he said, adding that the protection of lives and places of worship of minorities is the responsibility of the state.
Afridi added that no one would be allowed to misuse the present situation for political gain.
"In the past, religion was used for political purposes and to malign each other. This will not happen in naya Pakistain," he claimed.
"No one can dictate [what to do] to the state," he asserted.
"The PM has asked me to contact other parliamentary parties, including the PML-N and the PPP, on the issue."
SHAH 'CONDEMNS' PM'S ADDRESS PPP leader Khursheed Shah earlier lashed out at Prime Minister Imran Khan ... aka Taliban Khan, who is the lightweight's lightweight... over the premier's address to the nation on Asia Bibi's acquittal by the Supreme Court of Pakistain and the subsequent negative reactions by some religio-political parties.
"I strongly condemn the prime minister's address to the nation. The chief executive of the state should not have said what he said," remarked Shah, adding that he could not even "repeat" parts of PM Khan's speech.
Last night, following the sharp reaction from Tehrik-e-Labbaik Pakistain (TLP) after Asia Bibi's acquittal, PM Khan in a short address to the nation regretted that the demonstrators had termed the chief justice "liable to be killed".
Declaring that the elements inciting people against the judiciary and army just to enlarge their vote bank were not serving the cause of Islam, the premier had warned the groups that had mounted protests to desist from confronting the state.
Shah said that the PM had repeated the words uttered by the leaders of TLP, which were not shown by the media. "The kind of language used against institutions cannot be repeated."
"He [PM Khan] told the whole world what the media was hiding; it was good that media was not showing all this [protests] as they have the sense that it will not be good for the country. But social media is showing everything".
Further criticising PM Khan over his address, Shah said that yesterday, the tone of the premier was aggressive.
"There was violence in his tone. You cannot bring peace with this tone," he added.

[MAIL] President Donald Trump has offered State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert the job of U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, an administration official told DailyMail.com on Thursday.
Fox News Channel and ABC News reeporters first broke the news. It's unclear whether Nauert has accepted the role, which would thrust her onto the world stage in place of outgoing ambassador Nikki Haley ‐ a Trump favorite.
Nauert took over State Department spokeswoman duties in April 2017 after years at ABC News and a stint as an anchor at Fox News.
[DAWN] India inaugurated the world’s tallest statue on Wednesday with fireworks, folk dances and floral tributes, deploying tight security amid an outcry by local groups over the soaring cost of the 182-metre (600-feet) sculpture of an independence hero.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially opened the statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel describing the completion of his pet project as "a day that will be remembered in the history of India".
Air force jets flew over the giant figure and clouds of rose petals were dropped from helicopters onto its head as Modi bent in front of the statue on the ground.
Modi hailed Sardar Patel’s "strategic thinking" in bringing together the disparate country after independence in 1947 and described the Statue of Unity as "a symbol of our engineering and technical prowess".
More than 5,000 armed police guarded the huge site in a remote corner of Gujarat ...where rioting seems to be a traditional passtime... state, with Anand Mazgaonkar, a community group leader in Narmada district, accusing plain clothes officers of detaining 12 people late Tuesday. Police denied the claims.
But the authorities took no chances in case community groups staged protests to condemn the decision to spend 29.9 billion rupees ($400 million) ‐ much of it public funds ‐ to build the statue over a nearly four-year period.
Hundreds of Chinese have been among the 3,500 workers involved in its construction.
The Gujarat government said the 185 families moved to make way for the statue had been compensated and given 1,200 acres of land.
More than 80 per cent of the local population are from tribal groups with special protected status.
In the largely tribal town of Dediapada, roughly 60 kilometres from the statue, villagers shuttered shops and closed the main market for the day in protest.
Sardar Patel was a deputy prime minister in India’s first post-independence government. He became known as "the Iron Man" by convincing feuding states ‐ sometimes with a threat of force ‐ to join the new united country.

[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Gazoo protest leaders are calling for calmer border demonstrations Friday to give a chance to efforts to reach a long-term truce with Israel after months of deadly unrest, a source in the organizing committee said.
However, there's no worse danger than telling a mother her baby is ugly... previous such hopes for a deal have been dashed since protests and festivities along the border between Israel and the blockaded Gazoo Strip began on March 30.
It was not clear if demonstrators would heed calls for calm.
Egypt and UN officials have been engaged in indirect talks between Hamas, the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®,, the Islamist movement that runs the Gazoo Strip, and Israel.
An Egyptian delegation was in Gazoo on Thursday for further discussions.
"Friday’s events will be quiet," an official from the committee in charge of organizing the marches told AFP Thursday, on condition of anonymity.
The committee is technically independent from Hamas, but includes representatives allied to the Islamist movement.
The official said the agreement to quieten the border Friday "will give an opportunity for the success of the Egyptian efforts to (achieve) calm and lift the siege."
Protests would still go ahead, he said, but demonstrators would be encouraged not to approach the fence too closely, burn tires or send balloons equipped with incendiary devices across the border.
Seven Paleostinians died in renewed festivities along the border last Friday.
Since often violent protests began on March 30, at least 218 Paleostinians have been killed by Israeli fire.
One Israeli soldier has been killed by a Paleostinian sniper.
Demonstrators are calling for Paleostinian refugees to be allowed to return to the homes their families fled or were expelled from in the 1948 war surrounding the creation of Israel and which are now inside the Jewish state.
No. Israel tried a partial “yes” some years ago as a show of good faith, but it blew up in their face. Now, according to Ynet, more than half of Israelis oppose even negotiating a hudna with Hamas.
Israel and Paleostinian Lions of Islam in Gazoo have fought three wars since 2008 and the recent unrest has raised fears of a fourth.
Armed factions in the Gazoo Strip have agreed to temporarily rein in violence along the security fence with Israel ahead of Friday’s weekly border festivities, a Hamas, the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®, official told the Ynet news site on Thursday.
The unnamed bigwig quoted by the site said groups in the Hamas-controlled territory agreed to stop protesters from burning tires, throwing Molotov cocktails and approaching the border during rallies until Sunday, in light of the latest Egyptian-efforts to reach a ceasefire with Israel.
He said the protesters would also refrain from launching incendiary devices toward Israel over the weekend.

[NYPOST] Smiling Pittsburgh synagogue mass murderer Robert Bowers demanded a trial by jury during his brief court appearance Thursday morning.
Prosecutors said a trial would last for three to four weeks ‐ longer if US Attorney General Jeff Sessions puts the death penalty on the table as prosecutors in Pittsburgh have requested.
Bowers grinned at one point as he was walked into the proceeding shackled at the wrists and feet and wearing red, short-sleeved scrubs with a bandaged left bicep.
He was injured in a shootout with cops and released from the hospital on Monday.
He faces 44 felony counts on murder, hate crimes and weapons charges for shooting up a Pittsburgh synagogue on Saturday, killing 11 people and injuring six more.
Bowers said little except to acknowledge to Magistrate Judge Robert Mitchell that he had read the indictment against him and that he understood possible sentences included execution or life in prison.
[IsraelTimes] Woman identified as Barbara and her partner are ‘really saddened’ by Robert Bower’s alleged actions, Pastor Mark Schollaert of First Baptist Church in Monongahela, Pennsylvania, says. ‘They love the Jewish people.’

Hope they move the proceedings as quickly as they did for Tim McVeigh.
[PULSE.NG] Italia's Interior Minister Matteo Salvini was celebrating Thursday after prosecutors prepared to drop a case against him for his tough line against a group of rescued migrants colonists.
Sicilian prosecutors have called for charges to be dropped against him over his refusal to let more than 100 migrants colonists leave a coastguard ship, Salvini said in a Facebook video.
The investigating magistrate can still choose to go ahead with the case, for "illegal confinement, illegal arrest and abuse of power", but they normally follow the prosecutors' recommendations.
Salvini expressed his "joy and satisfaction" at the decision, reading out the prosecutors' letter notifying him of their decision in the video.
The case was opened in August after the Italian coastguard ship Diciotti rescued 170 migrants colonists.
Most of them were refused immediate permission to disembark in Italia and were forced to stay on board offshore for more than 10 days as Salvini pressed other EU nations to take them in.
Salvini, also deputy prime minister and leader of the far-right League party and a junior partner in the ruling coalition, only let the migrants colonists land after other countries, including Albania and Ireland, agreed to take them.
The affair covered two legal jurisdictions, Palermo and Catania, as the Diciotti moved around the Sicilian coast. Palermo's prosecutors decided to drop the case against Salvini in late October.

[DAWN] LAST night was a rare spectacle. For far too long we have watched our country’s leadership quake at the knees when confronting the forces of bigotry and hatred.
In most cases we watched in horror as rival political factions thought they could use these forces to put wind in their own sails. Nobody, it seemed, had the courage to call them what they really are: marginal voices in this country’s electoral landscape, using violence and virulence as strategies to assert themselves in the public space.
Last night Khan changed all that, hopefully. At least if the moment is to last and not run out of air soon. Last night he took an unequivocal and strong line against religious bigotry and hatred that we have not seen taken in almost two decades. The last time I recall a leader of this country being this clear in dismissing the politics of hate was in the early years of the Musharraf regime, and therein might lie a problem. Because Musharraf’s resolve fizzled out as the increasingly heavy burdens of rule weighed him down.

[DAWN] RAW ... India's Research and Analysis Wing, Pakistain's equivalent of the Boogie Man... ALPINDI: Though an initial medical exam of a minor domestic worker who was allegedly tortured by an army officer and her husband had confirmed she had been tortured, an X-ray has now revealed that she also has two fractured ribs.
No injuries were found on her skull and bones in the shoulder and left arm.
Kinza Shabir, an 11-year-old domestic worker was allegedly tortured by her employers, a private doctor and his wife, who is associated with the army, has been kept in the Child Protection Bureau since was brought back to Rawalpindi from her native Faisalabad ...formerly known as Lyallpur, the third largest metropolis in Pakistain, the second largest in Punjab after Lahore. It is named after some Arab because the Paks didn't have anybody notable of their own to name it after... after the torture case came to light.
Army authorities had sought the case record of the young maid from the police and asked the Child Protection Bureau for an interview with the child.
However, it was a brave man who first ate an oyster... the concerned bureau official had asked the army authorities to seek court orders for interviewing the minor as she was in their protective custody.
On the other hand, the private doctor, who is one of the suspects, was on interim bail and was included in the police’s investigation on Sunday. He has to appear before the court of an additional session judge on Nov 2 for confirming his bail.
His wife, who is associated with the army, has been nominated as the prime accused in the FIR registered with the Airport police on the complaint of a Child Protection Bureau officer. Her case has been sent to the army authorities for further proceeding as they have their own system for taking legal action.

Thank you for changing the paradigm, President Trump.
[JOURNALDUCAMEROUN] Brazil will move its embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, far-right President-elect Jair Bolsonaro said Thursday, making the Latin American giant the largest country after the United States to make the controversial switch.
"As previously stated during our campaign, we intend to transfer the Brazilian Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Israel is a sovereign state and we shall duly respect that," Bolsonaro tweeted, a move that will defy Paleostinians and most of the world.
In interviews, Bolsonaro said Israel should have the right to decide where its capital is located, just as Brazil moved its capital from Rio de Janeiro to Brasilia in 1960.
Israel considers the entire city its capital, while the Paleostinians see east Jerusalem as the capital of their future state, with international consensus being that the status of the whole city must be negotiated between the two sides.

I think I am going to like this Bolsonaro leader.
I hope Bolsonaro election portends good news for the US election on November 6 when people vote to keep social agendas out of politics.
Clear, precise politics in simply worded tweets.
[AlMasdar] (8:00 P.M.) – Just five days after the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh) launched a big attack in the eastern part of the Euphrates River Valley, the region is once again under a major threat as many of the fighters from the U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) were redeployed to the Turkish border.
According to Kurdish activists in northern Syria, the Syrian Democratic Forces have redeployed many units to the cities of Kobane (var. ‘Ayn Al-‘Arab) and Tal Al-Abyad to confront the Turkish military this evening.
The redeployment of these units from southeast Deir Ezzor to northern Syria comes just hours after the Turkish military struck a group of SDF fighters at Kobane and Tal Al-Abyad.
Some activists in Kobane are now reporting that the Turkish military is backing off from the city following the arrival of the U.S. Coalition forces to this part of the Aleppo Governorate.
The situation remains very tense at this time and the threat of another Daesh attack near the Iraqi border will likely be a major concern for both the Syrian Democratic Forces and Iraqi-led Hashd Al-Shaabi troops.

[DAWN] The complainant in the Asia Bibi case, Qari Muhammad Salaam, on Thursday filed a review petition through his counsel Ghulam Mustafa against the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Asia's conviction in a blasphemy case.
The petitioner has also sought the placement of Asia's name on the Exit Control List (ECL) till the judgement is reviewed.
Meanwhile, ...back at the pie fight, Bella went down under the weight of the custard... the ruling party has clarified that it has nothing to do with the review petition and it has not placed Asia's name on the ECL and does not plan to do so, despite rumours circulating to the contrary.
The confusion was exacerbated by the party's own information minister for Punjab, Fayyazul Hasan Chauhan, who made a statement to this effect on a TV channel.

Rantburg.com and borderlandbeat.com correspondent and author Chris Covert presents his first non-fiction work detailing
the drug and gang related violence in Mexico.
Chris gives us Mexican press dispatches of drug and gang war violence
over three years, presented in a multi volume set intended to chronicle the death, violence and mayhem which has
dominated Mexico for six years.
Rantburg was assembled from recycled algorithms in the United States of America. No
trees were destroyed in the production of this weblog. We did hurt some, though. Sorry.
