Thousands celebrate Christmas in Bethlehem with waning Christian Palestinians
Slideshow of the festivities can be seen at the link.
(IsraelTimes] Community makes up less than 1% of West Bank and Gazoo population, according to PA; in past 50 years, thousands have emigrated, Lutheran pastor says.

According to Paleostinian Authority Tourism Minister Rula Maaya, all Bethlehem hotels were fully booked, and the city was preparing to host an "astounding" 10,000 tourists overnight.

"We haven’t seen numbers like this in years," she said, adding that the 3 million visitors to Bethlehem in 2018 exceeded last year’s count by hundreds of thousands.

#1  Gazaterrorists warn locals: 'Celebrating Christmas is evil'
A verse from the Quran, quoted on the left side of the flyer, warns Muslims “not to go the way of the Jews and the Christians, indeed God is not for the evil people.” The brigades added that it is “absolutely forbidden” to celebrate the holidays in any capacity.

According to a government source, the flyer was aimed not only at Muslims, but also Arab Christians living in the Strip. The non-governmental organization Freedom House has regularly reported that the political rights and civil liberties of Gaza residents are severely constrained by multiple layers of interference.

The Al-Nasser Salah al-Deen Brigades is the military wing of the Popular Resistance Committees, a coalition of armed Palestinian groups considered a terrorist organization by Israel and the United States, and believed to be the third largest faction in Gaza after Hamas and the Islamic Jihad. The PRC is responsible for a number of terrorist attacks against Israel and has a close relationship with Hezbollah.

#2  This past fall I had the opportunity to speak with a number of Christians in the West Bank and Old City of Jerusalem. While there is no love lost between the Muslims and Christians in the West Bank, Christians were tolerated prior to the Israeli War of Independence. On the other hand, there is no love lost between the Christians and the Jews either. The Christians, who are considered Palestinians just like the Muslims, are subject to the same intimidation and prejudices as the Muslims. The Israelis don't want Christians in their military either.

Meet the Mosin: The Old Russian Rifle That Just Won't Go Away
[The National Interest] One of the most widely used weapons of the twentieth century was the predecessor to the legendary AK-47 rifle. Developed at the end of the nineteenth century for the Czar’s armies, the Mosin Nagant infantry rifle ended up becoming the standard issue weapon of the new Soviet Union. An unassuming but accurate and reliable weapon, the "Mosin" served well into the twenty-first century, making it one of the few weapons to see continuous service over the span of three centuries.

In the late nineteenth century, Russia’s large land army grew increasingly dissatisfied with its arsenal of obsolete rifles. The standard issue rifle was the Berdan II , a single-shot rifle that fired the 10.7x58mmR bottle-neck black powder cartridge. This arrangement greatly limited the firepower of Russian infantrymen, who needed to load a fresh cartridge after every shot. The Berdan II was also large and heavy, weighing 9.3 pounds with an overall length of 51 inches.

New technologies promised a huge technological shift in small arms already underway in the West. A move away from black powder to more modern propellants would produce higher chamber pressures. This in turn would allow higher projectile velocities while at the same time allowing for a reduction in the size of the bullet. A fixed steel magazine could hold up to five metallic cartridges, eliminating the need for reloading after every shot. The result would be a smaller, lighter, faster-firing rifle.

Wells Fargo May Have Outsourced Hundreds of Americans' Jobs This Year
BLUF:
[Breitbart] "Wells Fargo ... sent large portions of our job duties to India branch of Wells Fargo," the American worker wrote in the federal complaint. The worker said she trained workers in India for three months in order for the bank to swiftly outsource her and hundreds of U.S. workers’ jobs.

Wells Fargo executives told the Observer that the bank would not certify that more American jobs would not be outsourced to foreign countries in the near future.

The bank announced months ago, as Breitbart News reported, that about 26,500 workers at the multinational bank would be laid off by 2021.

Wells Fargo has consistently imported foreign workers through the H-1B visa program to take high-paying, white-collar U.S. jobs. Between 2015 and 2017, Wells Fargo tried to import nearly 400 foreign workers to take jobs in the U.S.

Cheap, foreign labor is the most prominent driver of multinational corporations outsourcing American workers’ jobs to third-world nations.

Also, top management has made several horrible mistakes, and it's a case of laying off thousands of American workers or cutting the Boss's bonus.

Which one do you think they're going to choose?

Mychal Massie: Today's Baby-Killers Make Herod Look Amateurish
[WND] I was thinking about Christmas, but I wasn’t thinking about toys and family gatherings. I was thinking about death and the absence of conscience.

I was thinking about this as I studied the numbers on the U.S. Abortion Clock. (See: www.numberofabortions.com.) As I sat studying the numbers of babies being murdered in real time, I wondered what it could possibly be like in homes where women had just murdered their unborn babies.

Was there joy, sadness, a sense of loss, was there shame and remorse? Worldwide since 1980, there have been 1.5 billion babies murdered, according to the real-time abortion clock. In America alone since Roe v. Wade, the 1973 infamous baby-killing ruling, went into effect, 61 million children have been murdered by abortion.

As I sat writing this commentary Saturday evening, Dec. 22, at 7:40 p.m. Eastern time, there had been 89,901 babies murdered worldwide on this day alone. This year so far, on this same date and time, there have been nearly 905,000 babies murdered by their mothers in the United States.

The murder of children is a society’s final step before completely sliding into the abyss of conscienceless abandon. When a people cease to be concerned about the lives of the most innocent and vulnerable persons on earth, said culture is not long for existence.

A rare glimpse at the real James Comey
[WND] Growing up in suburban Washington, D.C., during the 1950s and early ’60s, my family would often drive into our nation’s magnificent, shining, marble-hewn capital city, where my dad worked as an aeronautical engineer for the Defense Department, and we’d visit all the storied monuments and federal edifices from the White House to the Capitol to the FBI’s headquarters. Even while in elementary school, I remember reading little biographical books about the exploits of the FBI and Secret Service.

These people were my heroes.

That’s why it caused me such profound sadness to watch former FBI director James Comey bragging publicly ‐ to gales of audience laughter ‐ about how he tricked, entrapped and ultimately ruined the life of Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, a 33-year military veteran, former Defense Intelligence Agency director and, briefly, a Trump adviser.

For a moment, put aside all the other moving parts of the Flynn story, including most recently the beyond-bizarre sentencing hearing before Judge Emmet Sullivan. Let’s just zoom in on one thing ‐ Comey’s comments in his MSNBC interview with Nicole Wallace ‐ because they reveal a whole dimension of the never-ending Mueller drama that is normally hidden from view.

Comey was interviewed in front of a live audience. You can see the relevant excerpts by watching the first 30 seconds of this video.

The fired ex-FBI director openly boasted about how, in January 2017, he took advantage of the brand-new, still-forming Trump administration and intentionally violated all the usual standards and protocols in arranging an ambush meeting by two FBI agents of a too-trusting Gen. Flynn. Then-FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe played his part in setting-up Flynn by phoning the general, all buddy-buddy, and explicitly advising him not to bother bringing an attorney. As everyone now knows, Flynn followed this malevolently misleading "advice," which has led directly to his personal, professional and financial destruction.

Even though, by all accounts, the two FBI agents interviewing Flynn at the White House did not believe he had lied, Mueller ultimately decided to put the big squeeze on Flynn ‐ in an effort to get to his real target, President Donald Trump ‐ as he has done with so many other people whose broken lives are now casualties of the ever-metastasizing investigation.

During the MSNBC interview, Wallace, wondering aloud how on earth FBI agents could just stroll into the White House and grill a senior staffer there, asks Comey: "It’s hard to imagine two FBI agents ending up in the State Room. How did that happen?"

Albania expels Iranian terror diplomats
[American Thinker] In a surprising move, the Albanian government announced on Wednesday, 19 December that it had expelled Iran's ambassador, Gholamhossein Mohammadnia, and another diplomat for "damaging its national security." The Iranian opposition group, the Mujahedin-e Khalq, (MEK), said last February that Iran's ambassador, Mohammadnia, was a high-ranking official of the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS).

In March 2018, a car bomb attack targeting a gathering of MEK members in Tirana, the capital of Albania, was foiled. Two Iranians were temporarily detained and expelled from Albania. On 19 April, Prime Minister Edi Rama, in an interview with the Albanian Vision Plus TV, referred to the threat posed by the Iranian regime's terrorist attacks. The Albanian arrests were referenced in the U.S. Department of State's fact sheet on the Iranian regime's terrorism in Europe on 5 July.

The U.S. embassy in Albania, on 20 December released a letter from President Donald Trump thanking Edi Rama for "steadfast efforts to stand up to Iran and its destabilizing activities and efforts to silence the dissidents around the globe."

President Trump's letter and further remarks by the Albanian interior minister, Mr. Sander Lleshi, leave no doubt that the expulsions were made due to the Iranian regime's malignant activities against the MEK in Albania.

In an interview with the Albanian Vision Plus TV, on Thursday evening, Mr. Lleshi said, "If you have closely followed the latest developments in Europe, there has been similar evidence in other European countries where MEK members have been threatened by the Iranian security services[.] ... We have welcomed them as friends. We do not consider them as a risk or threat to our security, because otherwise we would not have accepted them to Albania. This is the stance of the Albanian government, the Albanian police and other security authorities towards these individuals."

Research shows women think sexist men are more attractive than ‘woke' men
[The College Fix] Here’s a warning to all those politically correct “woke” guys out there who jump on feminist bandwagons at a moment’s notice: Girls don’t dig you.

That’s what new research suggests, at any rate.

A study in the Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin says that women prefer men who display “benevolent” sexist attitudes because these indicate men are willing to make an investment — “protect, provide, and commit” — in a relationship.

Dr. David Ley in Psychology Today notes this “benevolent sexism” is “overtly less hostile and misogynistic” than typical sexism, and includes characteristics like believing “women should be ‘put on a pedestal,’” “women should be cherished and protected by men,” and “women are more virtuous than men.”

However, not is all beer and skittles with the concept. Utilizing different experiments, researchers Pelin Gul and Tom Kupfer found that although women found BS men more enticing, they also thought they were more “undermining and patronizing [and] were more likely to place restrictions on the women.”

Spengler: Michael Griffin for Secretary of Defense
h/t Instapundit
President Trump should promote Michael Griffin, the undersecretary of defense for research and engineering, to the top job at the Pentagon. Outgoing SecDef James Mattis is a deservedly honored soldier and an American patriot, but he was not necessarily the best man for the job. Mattis is a light infantry commander, and there are very few opportunities today for light infantry to solve America's strategic problems. The overriding strategic risk to the United States is the loss of our technological edge, and the Defense Department needs a leader with the vision and expertise to restore it. Michael Griffin would be an excellent choice. A first-rate physicist, Dr. Griffin headed NASA under the Bush 41 administration.

#1  This is the sort of suggestion that makes me want to examine my beliefs and disavow anything that accidentally coincides with what Spengler has preached in the past. Griffin was just another do-nothing bureaucrat who sacrificed the space program's future on the altar of gigantic expensive expendable rockets with massive segmented solid rockets as the first stage to make sure they'll have massive costs and massive unreliability. We needed a real RLV program and not a Shuttle Stack Part Deux.

Maybe we should make _HIM_ Secretary of Defense, because the American public wants to push the two con jobs that we're still a powerful country and we care about freedom...

#4  Rand Simberg's take (Transterrestial Musing):
OK, if Mike Griffin were SecDef, just what would he do, going on past performance? Would he propose a giant expendable combat aircraft, based on parts from F-15s and F-16s, that would fly once a year, and each service could take a turn?
Posted by: magpie || 12/25/2018 14:20 Comments || Top||

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Turkey says US team coming to discuss Syria troops withdrawal
[Arab News] WASHINGTON: A US military delegation will visit Turkey this week to discuss the withdrawal of American ground forces from Syria, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's spokesman said on Monday.

"They will discuss how to coordinate (the withdrawal) with their counterparts," Ibrahim Kalin told a news conference in Ankara after US President Donald Trump's shock decision last week to order the pull-out of 2,000 troops.

The US has for years supported the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the fight against the Daesh terrorist group in Syria.

Critics of Trump's move fear that thousands of Daesh members could make gains in Syria, despite the US leader's claim that the group had been defeated.

"There is no question of a step backwards, vulnerability or a slowdown in the fight against Daesh," Kalin vowed, adding: "Turkey will show the same determination against Daesh... We can bring peace to this region."

He referred to Turkey's cross-border offensive launched in August 2016 against Daesh in northern Syria and said Ankara would take all measures to avoid a power vacuum after the US withdrawal.

Kalin said there would be further talks between the two countries' foreign ministries and other departments including a meeting planned in Washington on January 8.

Trump Fact-Checks Media: Brett McGurk Responsible for Pallets of Cash to Iran
[Breitbart] President Donald Trump reacted Monday to critics who had rallied around former U.S. envoy Brett McGurk, noting that he was the Obama administration official responsible for sending pallets of cash to Iran for U.S. hostages.

McGurk, who was appointed by President Barack Obama in 2015 as special envoy to the international coalition fighting the so-called "Islamic State" (ISIS), resigned his post over the weekend in protest against President Trump’s decision to withdraw troops from Syria. Though McGurk had been due to leave his post in February, his resignation provided more fodder for Trump’s critics in the wake of Secretary of Defense James Mattis’s resignation Thursday.

Trump initially responded by accusing McGurk of "grandstanding," adding that he had been appointed by Obama and that Trump did not even know him. That, in turn, led to more criticism.

The claim is true, as initially reported by the Wall Street Journal, which broke the story of the cash ransom for American prisoners in 2016:
The Obama administration has refused to disclose how it paid any of the $1.7 billion, despite congressional queries, outside of saying that it wasn’t paid in dollars. Lawmakers have expressed concern that the cash would be used by Iran to fund regional allies, including the Assad regime in Syria and the Lebanese militia Hezbollah, which the U.S. designates as a terrorist organization.

The U.S. delegation was led by a special State Department envoy, Brett McGurk, and included representatives from the Central Intelligence Agency and Federal Bureau of Investigation, according to U.S. and European officials. The Iranian team was largely staffed by members of its domestic spy service, according to U.S. officials.

Revolutionary Guard commanders boasted at the time that the Americans had succumbed to Iranian pressure. "Taking this much money back was in return for the release of the American spies," said Gen. Mohammad Reza Naghdi, commander of the Guard’s Basij militia, on state media.
Critics also argued that paying ransom for hostages would endanger Americans by creating a financial incentive to kidnap and imprison more of them.

In 2012, McGurk withdrew his nomination to be ambassador to Iraq over an affair with a Journal reporter.

As the New York Times reported at the time:

Man from Germany arrested after allegedly exposing himself in front of White House
[Oregonian] WASHINGTON - A man from Germany was arrested Sunday after an officer with the Secret Service saw him pull down his pants and expose himself as he posed for a picture in front of the White House, according to D.C. police.

Sebastian Hares, 34, of Heidelberg, Germany, was charged with indecent exposure. He was issued a citation that orders him to appear in court at a later date to answer the charge. He was then released.

Police said in a report that the incident occurred about 1:30 a.m. in the 1600 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, the pedestrian area in front of the White House.

The report says a uniformed Secret Service officer saw four people getting their picture taken by another person. "One individual . . . turned his back to the cameraman and was then facing the south toward the White House," the reports says. The suspect "proceeded to lower his pants and undergarment."

Efforts to reach Hares on Monday were unsuccessful.

And the 'sour grapes' award goes to -- anti-Trumper Sen. Bob Corker
[Wash Times] Sen. Bob Corker is leaving office at the end of this term ‐ and, given his ongoing Twitter spat with President Donald Trump, taking a "sour grapes" award with him.

What’s happening?

Corker, never one to agree with Trump, has come out in disagreement once again, this time over the budget impasse that’s marked the building and funding of the border wall.

On Sunday, Corker took to national television to characterize the funding fight and subsequent government shutdown as a "made-up fight" ‐ as in something to occupy the White House’s time. That, despite the fact that Trump long-promised on the campaign trail to build a wall and to have Mexico pay for it.

But Corker said this, on "State of the Union" on CNN: "This is a made-up fight so the president can look like he’s fighting, but even if he wins, our borders are going to be insecure."

And all the voters go: So why don’t you secure them, Bob?

Regardless ‐ he’s leaving office, having announced retirement in mid-2017.

After Corker’s public attack, Trump responded via Twitter.

"Senator Bob Corker just stated that, ’I’m so [privileged] to serve in the Senate for twelve years, and that’s what I told the people of our state that’s what I’d do, serve for two terms.’ But that is Not True ‐ wanted to run but poll numbers TANKED when I wouldn’t endorse him ...," Trump tweeted.

And then he followed it with another: "... Bob wanted to run and asked for my endorsement. I said NO and the game was over. #MAGA I LOVE TENNESSEE!"

Corker’s people dispute Trump’s account, of course. And Corker replied to Trump’s tweet with one of his own, that read, "Yes, just like Mexico is paying for the wall ... #AlertTheDaycareStaff."

Yes, Corker is a Republican.

Women's March leader Tamika Mallory: White Jews 'uphold white supremacy'
[Wash Times] The Women’s March has incited another uproar over anti-Semitism, this time stemming from national co-chair Tamika Mallory’s comment about "white Jews" contributing to white supremacy.

Ms. Mallory weighed in after a Dec. 10 expose in Tablet magazine about a January 2017 meeting of initial Women’s March leaders. The report said that she and co-chair Carmen Perez made critical comments about Jews, while Ms. Mallory said the role of Jews was discussed.

"Since that conversation, we’ve all learned a lot about how while white Jews, as white people, uphold white supremacy, ALL Jews are targeted by it," Ms. Mallory said in a Sunday statement in the New York Times.

Her comment, while apparently aimed at appeasing her critics, instead fueled a fresh round of attacks on the Women’s March, whose leaders have repeatedly been accused of anti-Semitism, which they deny.

At issue are their associations with the Nation of Islam’s Louis Farrakhan and Palestinian terrorist Rasmea Odeh; failure to mention anti-Semitism in their Unity Principles; lack of Jewish women in top posts, and the recent allegation that they pushed out 2017 organizer Vanessa Wruble because she was Jewish, which Women’s March leaders have denied.

The Jerusalem Post’s Lahav Harkov called Ms. Mallory an "open, unabashed antisemite," while Boston Globe columnist Michael Cohen blasted the comment as "deeply ignorant & offensive."

Armed shoppers help stop shoplifters at Marysville farm and ranch store
Who was that masked man ?
[Komo News] MARYSVILLE, Wa - A wild scene unfolded at a Marysville business when two shoppers tried to stop what police describe as two shoplifters. Police say two shoppers fired their guns at a getaway car during a robbery at the store.

The shoplifters were arrested. But the investigation is far from over. The shooting terrified Monica Medina. She was taking a customer’s order at the time at Playa Bonita Mexican Restaurant.

"Like pow pow pow!" said Medina "When I hear it, I go outside in the kitchen."

Brandy Sundin immediately locked her the doors.

"We had two customers and went in the back and locked ourselves in," siad Sundin.

And Davin Tuninga was inside Wagner Jewelers when she heard the commotion.

"It was weird. It was weird. All I heard was ’bang, bang, bang" like that and I saw a gal running to her car," said Tuninga.

Police say two people stole power tools from Coastal Farm and Ranch store on State Avenue late Saturday afternoon. When they got to their car in the parking lot, a shopper tried to confront them and showed them his gun. The accused shoplifters struck that man with their car as they took off, according to police.

That's when two more shoppers carrying guns confronted the thieves. The armed citizens fired several shots, taking out two tires on the getaway car. Fortunately, no one was hurt.

"Good that they did that. But, what if there had been kids around," said Tuninga.

The accused thieves ditched their car a few blocks away. But officers and a K-9 tracked them down. Police say the suspects, both from Everett, now face felony robbery charges.

The two shoppers who fired the shots didn’t stick around to talk to officers. Investigators want to talk to those unknown armed bystanders to get their statements.

Afghanistan
Kabul gun and suicide attack kills 43 in one of year's deadliest assaults
[Guardian] An hours-long gun and suicide attack on a Kabul government compound killed at least 43 people, the health ministry said on Tuesday, making it one of the deadliest assaults on the Afghan capital this year.

No militant group has claimed responsibility for the raid, which caps a bloody year for Afghanistan as long-suffering civilians and security forces were slaughtered in record numbers.

Another 10 people were wounded in Monday’s massacre on a site where the ministry of public works and an office that handles pensions and benefits for war veterans are located, spokesman Waheed Majroh said.

Gunmen stormed the compound mid-afternoon after detonating a car bomb at the entrance, sending terrified government workers running for their lives. Some jumped from windows several floors high to escape the militants.

Hundreds more were trapped inside buildings for hours as heavily armed security forces swarmed the area, engaging the attackers in a fierce gun battle punctuated by multiple explosions.

At least four militants, including the suicide bomber, were killed and more than 350 people freed, officials said. Most of the dead and wounded were civilians, who have borne the brunt of the 17-year war.

Ohio Gov Kasich Vetoes Bill Banning Abortion After Detection of a Fetal Heartbeat
[Townhall] Ohio Gov. John Kasich (R) vetoed legislation Friday that would’ve banned abortion after the detection of a fetal heartbeat which is usually at around six weeks into a pregnancy.

Kasich identifies as pro-life but argued in his veto statement that the bill was likely unconstitutional and would result in a costly court battle for the state.

"As governor I have worked hard to strengthen Ohio’s protections for the sanctity of human life, and I have a deep respect for my fellow members of the pro-life community and their ongoing efforts in defense of unborn life," he said. "However, the central provision of Sub. H.B. 258, that an abortion cannot be performed if a heartbeat has been detected in the unborn child, is contrary to the Supreme Court of the United States’ current rulings on abortion.

"The State of Ohio will be the losing party in that lawsuit and, as the losing party, the State of Ohio will be forced to pay hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars to cover the legal fees for the pro-choice activists' lawyers," he said.

Mexican governor, senator die in helicopter crash
[The Hill] A Mexican governor and her husband, a federal senator, died in a helicopter crash on Monday, according to multiple reports.

A helicopter holding Martha Erika Alonso, the new governor of Puebla state and her husband, Mexican Senator Rafael Moreno, came down near the state capital of Pubela, Reuters reported, citing a local newspaper.

Alonso is a member of the National Action Party (PAN). She took office earlier this month.

Moreno was previously the governor of Puebla for five years between 2011 and 2017, according to Reuters.

Reports did not immediately indicate what caused the crash or if the pilot was harmed.

Clapper: Trump's ‘Appalling Arrogance' Dangerous ‐ Could Cause ‘Unintended Consequences'
[Breitbart] Monday on CNN’s "New Day," former National Intelligence Director James Clapper, also a CNN contributor, discussed potential "unintended consequences" of President Donald Trump’s decision to withdraw U.S. troops from Syria.

Host Erica Hill said, "As we have been reporting, CNN is reporting about so much being unknown at this point and the fact that the concern here is that perhaps the president doesn’t understand how complicated this is, and while a number of Americans support the move to pull troops back, just doing it on a whim could be dangerous."

Clapper said, "Exactly. I spent 13 years throughout my career in the Pentagon, and the Pentagon is an institution of planning and orderliness. There are all kinds of implications here when you withdraw, particularly doing it as we appear to be doing it in Syria, precipitously. There are all kinds of unintended consequences that will occur here, and it plays havoc in the Pentagon. The other thing, of course, is they are all on pins and needles thinking what is the next tweet we will get about deploying or withdrawing with not a lot of notice."

After video clips of Trump saying he knows more than U.S. military officers, Clapper said, "Appalling arrogance, you know, and him portraying himself as a genius and all that sort of thing. These things are complicated. He would do well to listen to his advisers. I would point out, by the way, ISIS is not defeated, not in Syria, and it’s a good thing to remember that ISIS is other places besides Syria, like Afghanistan, where they have a prominent presence there as well. I don’t think he knows more than the generals do."

CNN's Mike Rogers: Mattis' Resignation Will ‘Leave a Mark' on Trump
[Breitbart] Monday on CNN’s "New Day,"a former Republican House Intelligence Committee chairman and network national security commentator Mike Rogers said the resignation of Defense Secretary James Mattis will leave a "mark" on President Donald Trump.

Rogers said, "I think this one is going to leave a mark on the president, for a whole host of reasons. If you read that Mattis letter, I think this is why Republicans are getting so concerned, it was more than just about Afghanistan or Syria. It was that for sure, I think that was the tipping point. If you look back, Mattis was the one who had to go to Japan and reassure our allies after kind of the giveaway to North Korea on troop discussions there and training exercises. He immediately left for Japan to try to fix that problem. Pulling out of the INF with the Russians and now the Russians running around, saying this is going to cause a nuclear problem, which could have been okay if there was a strategy to follow it. There wasn’t and Mattis was the one trying to put this all back together."

He continued, "Then abandoning our allies and alliances in Syria and Afghanistan was probably the last straw for General Mattis. Those Republicans in the national security space see this as a significant problem because, you know, listen, our safety and security is dependent on allies and allegiances around the in tough neighborhoods."

Snowflakes or Mistletoe?
[AmGratness] Baby, it’s cold everywhere these days, outside and inside.

The #MeToo movement has put flirting and romance into a deep freeze. Men across the country fear the ramifications of holding a door open for a woman, let alone pouring her a Christmas cocktail. There’s ice, ice baby in feminists’ veins.

What’s a man to do if he’s walking in a Winter Wonderland by himself? (In this case, Rod Stewart and Michael Bublé hang out together). And what’s a lonely gal to do, when logs on the fire fill her with desire? I wrote in 2016 about the leftist meltdown in "Baby, It’s Dumb Outside," but since then things have regressed even further. I knew the lefties weren’t the brightest bulbs on the tree, but this year they don’t even know how to put the plug in the socket.

There won't be many, if any, babies born to Wussies and snowflakes. Statistically there will be fewer and less lasting marriages among wussies and women who can't face up to the reality that Women just can't get it up themselves and never will.
What does this reality mean? The REAL women who like men and like Babies and CAN raise a functioning happy family will outlast and out produce the #Metoo "woke" left behinds.

Real women will become wives, have husbands , conceive babies in greater numbers, and raise happy families. #Metoo get Snowflakes and their marriages will produce little or nothing. IF they get married, that is.

ISIS Captures Santa, Demands ‘Sharia Christmas'
Moved to Opinion because its About describes it as a satire site.
[TheMideastBeast] Santa Claus is being held by ISIS fighters in Raqqa, as the Islamic State is demanding an ’Islamic Christmas’ be adopted by Saint Nick.

"For too long, this red-suited infidel has passed over the houses of countless Muslim children to deliver gifts to these non-believers," said one ISIS fighter in a video delivered to Al Jazeera’s North Pole correspondent. "Every year of my childhood, I left out a class of goat’s milk and a serving of baklava hoping he would, just once, bring me presents. But I got nothing. At least the Jews get to light candles and shit."

Santa’s capture came after an ISIS stakeout of a Christian home in Raqqa, as fighters were waiting beside the home’s fireplace when Santa emerged to deliver the family’s presents. In the recorded video, which showed a bound Saint Nick, ISIS demanded that Santa bring toys to Muslim children rather than Christians, wear a green suit instead of red, and shout ’Allahu Akbar’ rather than ’Ho, ho, ho,’ while flying from house to house. They additionally demanded that Mrs. Claus dress more modestly, but noted approvingly that Santa’s beard is already sufficient.

Green New Deal:

Being pushed by whiny millennial representatives who expect to just be handed a livable planet in the year 2060.

Healthcare:

Plan to introduce a broadly popular Medicare for all bill to slowly water down into a series of giveaways to big pharma.

Trump:

Still don’t like the guy!

Grandstanding To Go Viral On Social Media:

Members will be limited to one impassioned speech with viral video potential per month.

Corruption:

Committed to looking like they’re tackling political corruption.

Criticizing Nancy Pelosi
:

Expected to be a top priority until approximately 10 years after Pelosi dies.

Immigration
:

Following Senator Chuck Schumer’s lead in demanding that a border wall they regard as useless, unnecessary, and morally bankrupt receives no more than $1.6 billion in funding.

Infrastructure:

If there’s one thing they can agree with Republicans on, it’s that America’s crumbling bridges and roads are the perfect political bargaining chip.

Election Reform:

Party leadership is already doggedly working to ensure that the wave of true progressives taking office in January never happens again.

Europe
Refugee children facing violence at EU borders
Key bits:
[DW] Violence against refugee children at the EU's external borders is on the rise, says a new report from Save the Children. The organization's Meike Riebau spoke to DW about what minors experience at the bloc's frontiers.

There were rather shocking reports: Of the approximate 6,300 children surveyed, 1,376 children told us that they had experienced so-called violent rejections at the border. This is already illegal. In some cases, there was also the use of extreme violence. The sheer number of affected children shocked us. Among the 1,376 children, there were 934 minors who were separated or completely unaccompanied by their families.

Which EU external borders are most affected?

We conducted our interviews in Belgrade, so we spoke mostly with youths taking the so-called Balkan route into the EU. But we also are aware of violence used against minors in Italia.

In concrete terms, what sort of violence are we actually talking about?

We heard of cases in which pepper spray was used and of cases of robberies ‐ often the children were robbed of their mobile phones or the money they had on them to sustain themselves. Dogs were deployed against minors and we also heard of physical abuse carried out by border guards. One particularly shocking case we heard of was that of an Afghan boy beaten so violently by the Croatian police that he still to this day doesn't know whether his hand was broken or not. He was denied medical attention.

Nixing Xmas from holiday cards is overcompensation
[DW] To avoid the possibility of offending non-Christians Germany's integration commissioner sent out holiday cards without a mention of the word "Christmas." DW's Erkan Arikan, a Moslem, considers the courtesy unnecessary.

Every year at Christmas, I encounter people who are particularly zealous: "Merry Christmas! Oh, no, you're not celebrating. I mean, happy holidays!"

Yes, as a German with Ottoman Turkish heritage who comes from a conservative Moslem family, I did not grow up celebrating Christmas. For my family, the holiday was just a long weekend. We watched the Four Hills Tournament ski competition, Little Lord Fauntleroy and, of course, Three Wishes for Cinderella. That was Christmas for us.

Now, I ask myself every year why people are so careful to not wish me a Merry Christmas. I, too, look forward to the holiday season: That's when the people around me think about their religion at least once a year.

I enjoy the contemplation and the deceleration. Christmas grounds people, at least those with whom I deal from day to day. It's a nice feeling. Every year, my family and I are happy to receive Christmas cards from our friends, just as we likewise, send out Christmas greetings ‐ not because we have to, but because it is a form of decency to respect the religion of others.

Integration, Migration and Refugees Commissioner Annette Widmann-Mauz was acting with honorable intent when she omitted "Christmas" from this year's holiday cards; her aim is to not hurt, offend or exclude people who do not celebrate the Christian holiday. But the word does not offend me: I, too, would like to have a Happy Christmas!

Non-Christian parents know that Germany's heavily Christian calendar generally overlooks the holidays celebrated by their religions. Our family has one strategy for this.

When I celebrate the end of Ramadan with my daughters, they get presents, as they do at Christmas, but without the tree or the nativity scene. Yes, I know that the holiday is about more than just presents. But that is how Christmas is celebrated at our place. If anyone askes, I simply respond that we Moslems also celebrate the birth of Jesus. He is also an important prophet in our religion.

WHAT ABOUT RAMADAN?
Instead of excluding me from German traditions out of fear of insulting me, it would be much nicer if Christians would show awareness of the holidays of my religion. I've never had a non-Moslem congratulate me on the end of Ramadan or on the Eid a-Adha.

We could all generally be more considerate of the beliefs and traditions held by the people around us. But I would like to continue to receive Christmas greetings, cards, and gifts.

I'm a fully fledged member of society. And I don't live between two cultures, but withtwo cultures.

In my view, this is an enriches ‐ and by no means creates an obstacle to ‐ integration.

High Council of State's Head says Haftar can't advance into west Libya
[Libya Observer] The Head of the High Council of State (HCS) Khalid al-Mishri said he doesn’t think that the commander of the self-styled army Khalifa Haftar
...Self-proclaimed Field Marshal, served in the Libyan army under Muammar Qadaffy, and took part in the coup that brought Qadaffy to power in 1969. He became a prisoner of war in Chad in 1987. While held prisoner, he and his fellow officers formed a group hoping to overthrow Qadaffy. He was released around 1990 in a deal with the United States government and spent nearly two decades in the United States, gaining US citizenship. In 1993, while living in the United States, he was convicted in absentia of crimes against the Jamahiriya and sentenced to death. Haftar held a senior position in the anti-Qadaffy forces in the 2011 Libyan Civil War. In 2014 he was commander of the Libyan Army when the General National Congress (GNC) refused to give up power in accordance with its term of office. Haftar launched a campaign against the GNC and its Islamic fundamentalist allies. His campaign allowed elections to take place to replace the GNC, but then developed into a civil war. Guess you can't win them all...
can control any area in western Libya.

Speaking Sunday in an interview on La Belle France 24 TV, al-Mishri said Haftar’s adventurous war in eastern Libya made the people there suffer the loss of about 18000 men and left over 7000 others amputated without achieving anything real on the ground.

"Haftar alleges fighting terrorism and claims he is building a military institution. This was a catchy talk two or three years ago, but now all Libyans are in the clear." al-Mishri said.

He added that in western Libya, the building of a Libyan state is going very well.

"The excuse of Haftar ‐ fighting terrorism ‐ doesn’t exist in western Libya, where there is no recorded terrorist presence of any groups." al-Mishri explained.

He also said that when terrorist appeared in Sirte, they were dealt a fatal blow in no time and afterward, some groups did certain terrorist acts, which he said could happen to any country.

"The western region is not threatened by terrorism so that Haftar uses it as a way for his entrance. The west has gotten real army and police institutions and despite being weak now, they will grow stronger in the future. Thus, all Haftar’s justification for entering the western region are baseless." al-Mishri added.

Haftar has always vowed to advance on Tripoli
...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn...
and the entire western region in order to "liberate it from terrorists" who are his political views’ opponents as he had grown accustomed to calling his foes "terrorists."

Gaza border farmers to make beer from wheat that survived fires
[IsraelTimes] JTA ‐ Farmers on the Gaza border who lost much of their wheat crop in Hamas fires are teaming up with a local brewery to make beer.

They will use their remaining wheat to produce Gaza Border Beer, whose profits will go toward helping make up the shortfall caused by months of arson, Ynet reported.

Since April, some 1,729 acres of wheat fields have been burned by Gaza Palestinians sending incendiary kites and balloons over the security fence, causing millions of shekels in damage to the local agricultural sector. Despite the risk of fire, local residents have largely refrained from fleeing, telling JTA that they are determined to stay put.

"I cannot be indifferent to the heartwrenching scenes of burning fields. My heart goes out to the farmers," Ori Sagi, the founder of Alexander Brewery, which is making the limited-run beer, told Ynet.

Sagi called the beer "excellent" and said it"showcases the quality wheat grown by our dear friends."

Large Syrian Army convoy heads to east Syria as US forces pullout
[ALMASDARNEWS] A large Syrian Arab Army (SAA) convoy made their way to the eastern region of Syria, today, after receiving orders to redeploy to the Euphrates River Valley area of the Deir Ezzor Governorate.

The Syrian Arab Army convoy reportedly left the southeastern countryside of the Idlib, where they were positioned at the front-lines with the jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham
near the Abu Dhuhour Military Airport.

According to reports, the reinforcements were made up of Tiger Forces, National Defense Forces (NDF), and Elite Republican Guard personnel.

These reinforcements will be deployed to the front-lines of the Euphrates River Valley as they await orders from the Syrian Arab Army’s High Command.

The recent mobilization of Syrian Arab Army troops to the Deir Ezzor province comes just days after U.S. President Donald Trump

Pros and Cons of the US pullout from Syria
Long and thoughtful. The setup:
[CarolineGlick] President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
’s sudden announcement Wednesday that he is removing U.S. forces from Syria shocked many. But it shouldn’t have come as a surprise, because the move is consistent with key aspects of Trump’s military and foreign policy.

Trump promised to bring the 2,000 U.S. Special Forces home from Syria in April. When his announcement sparked opposition from the Pentagon and from key allies, Trump said that he would give the Pentagon six months to complete its mission to defeat so-called "Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
" (ISIS) forces in Syria.

Seven months later, he announced the troops will be coming home.

Trump’s decision will have negative consequences. But it will also have positive consequences. Only time will tell if the positive implications of the move will outweigh the negative ones. But it is important to set out both to consider the wisdom of his decision.

Mass grave of Ethiopian Christians killed by ISIS unearthed in Sirte
[Libya Observer] The bodies of 34 Æthiopian Christians executed by ISIS bandidos turbans in Libya’s Sirte in 2015 have been exhumed from a mass grave, the Department of Criminal Investigations of the Central Region (DCICR) reported on Monday.

The grave was unearthed on Sunday, after information was obtained during investigations of placed in durance vile

ISIS members.

"The bodies will be repatriated to Æthiopia once internal and international legal procedures are completed" the DCICR said.

In October 2017, Libyan authorities located the burial place of the Egyptian Copts who had their heads chopped off by ISIS together with the Æthiopian Christians.

20 Egyptian Copts were handed over to the Egyptian government on May 14, 2018 after taking DNA samples.

A horrific video posted on social media in April 2015 appeared to show ISIS bandidos turbans beheading the Christians on a beach.

ISIS took control of Sirte in 2015 and lost the city in December 2016 to al-Bonyan al-Marsous forces.

Iran's senior cleric Ayatollah Shahroudi passes away
[PRESSTV] Head of Iran’s Expediency Council, Ayatollah Seyyed Mahmoud Hashemi-Shahroudi, has passed away at the age of 70 after months of suffering acute ill health.

The prominent religious and political figure succumbed to renal and intestinal malfunctions at Tehran's Khatam al-Anbiya Hospital on Monday.

During his lifetime, Ayatollah Shahroudi served in many other crucial positions in the Islamic Theocratic Republic.

He was born in 1948 in the Iraqi city of Najaf, which has hosted many Moslem scholars.

In Iraq, Ayatollah Shahroudi attended classes held by the late founder of the Islamic Theocratic Republic, Imam Khomeini.

Ayatollah Shahroudi traveled to Iran after the victory of the Islamic Revolution to serve as an intermediary between Imam Khomeini and Iraqi scholars and leaders.

He took the helm of the Expediency Council in 2017 to succeed late Ayatollah Ali Akbar Hashemi-Rafsanjani. The Expediency Council is mainly responsible for arbitrating between the Iranian Parliament and the Guardian Council, which itself supervises the Parliament.

Ayatollah Shahroudi also served as the head of Iran’s Judiciary for 10 years. His attempts for speeding up due processes and establishing close contact with the ordinary people were among the achievements the late holy man was credited for.

by the security forces after a drug processing lab was busted by the security forces in Kandahar city.

Provincial police front man Zia Durani confirmed that a drug processing lab has been busted in the vicinity of 15th police district of Kandahar city.

Durani further added that four people including three women have been arrested and 3.5 kilograms of drugs were confiscated by the security forces.

He said the individuals were attempting to smuggle the drugs outside the country, including India.

This comes as scores of people have been arrested on charges of drugs smuggling from the international airports of the country, including Kandahar province during the recent months.

This comes despite the security authorities have stepped up to counter-drugs production and smuggling which is considered as main source of financial support to the anti-government armed krazed killer groups.

, one of the three countrywide districts where the virus circulates.

The warning came from the prime minister’s focal person for polio, Baber bin Atta, at a meeting held with Unicef and WHO staff at Nishtar Hall here on Saturday. He also said that UN was fully responsible for eradication of the virus in Peshawar as the WHO and Unicef ran the complete campaign.

"The government wants results," he told staff of both the agencies, according to sources. They added that the focal person said that government was concerned about virus circulation and wanted full-fledged drive in all 97 union councils including the 18 declared high-risk areas.

"The Independent Monitoring Board (IMB) lays emphasis on elimination of poliovirus not on case count, therefore, focus should be laid on making water sample negative," he said.

US warships never allowed to approach Iran's territorial waters: Commander
[PRESSTV] A senior Iranian commander says Iran will never allow US warships to sail near its territorial waters, reiterating once again that the Islamic Theocratic Republic is ready to respond to any action by Washington.

Deputy Chief of Iran's Army for Coordination Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari made the remarks on Monday while speaking to news hounds in reaction to the return of US aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis to the Persian Gulf on Friday after a long absence.

"The response of the Armed Forces and the Army of the Islamic Theocratic Republic is that we will never allow them [US warships] to come near our territorial waters," Sayyari said.

He added that the presence of the USS John C. Stennis is insignificant to Iran, saying, "They cannot take any measure against us, because we are so prepared and have enough capabilities to stand up to such a publicity stunt."

Expressing confidence that the US Navy does not have the courage to take any action against Iran, Sayyari, however, added that any country is allowed to sail in international waters just as the Iranian Navy could sail in the high seas.

Coincident with the arrival of the US aircraft carrier, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) held the main and final stage of massive exercises, dubbed the Great Prophet 12, in the Persian Gulf, launching an "offensive" component in Iran's defensive strategy for the first time.

US Coalition bombs bridge being reconstructed by Syrian Army in Deir Ezzor
[ALMASDARNEWS] The U.S. Coalition carried out a new Arclight airstrike in the Euphrates River Valley region of Deir Ezzor, today, targeting an area near the front-lines of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

According to a military source in Damascus, the U.S. Coalition bombed the Halbiyah-Zalbiyah Bridge that links the territories controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces and Syrian Arab Army in western Deir Ezzor.

The source said that the Syrian Arab Army was recently reconstructing this bridge and was nearly finished until it was bombed by the U.S. Coalition.

The U.S. Coalition has not issued any statement about this bombing.

Al-Masdar’s source in Damascus said that the Syrian Arab Army believes the reason for the bombing was to prevent them from being able to cross the Euphrates and enter the SDF’s territory.

Assad aide in Egypt as world warms up to Damascus
[PRESSTV] A senior adviser to Syria's Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad
Lord of the Baath...
has visited Egypt at the invitation of the Egyptian intelligence chief amid efforts by world countries to embrace the Arab country.

Head of Syria's National Security Bureau Maj. Gen. Ali Mamlouk arrived in Egypt on Saturday to discuss political and security issues, including counter-terrorism efforts, the official Syrian Arab News Agency reported on Sunday.

Mamlouk visited Egypt last time in 2016 when Cairo kept up security contacts with Damascus despite a general snub in the Arab world. Cairo has reportedly negotiated some of the reconciliation deals between the Syrian government and holy warrior groups.

On Sunday, Saudi-owned al-Arabiya news network reported that Jordan was also seeking to restore its ties with Syria, putting it down to Syria's military gains that have secured their common border.

The broadcaster said a Jordanian parliamentary delegation had recently visited the Syrian capital and taken back a message from President Assad to King Abdullah II.

"Today, as the Syrian army has expanded its control over most of Syria and restored large parts of the country that have been under the control of armed and terrorist groups for years, including areas bordering Jordan, there are signs that the two countries are normalizing ties gradually," the network said.

Backed by heavy Arclight airstrikes, the Saudi Coalition and the pro-government Yemeni Army troops began their attack on Monday by storming the Houthi defenses at the eastern sector of the Nihm District.

The Houthi forces said they were able to repel the Saudi Coalition’s attack on the Nihm District, adding that they killed several krazed killer in the process.

However,

pro-government media channels contrasted the Houthi reports, stating that their troops managed to capture several points inside the Nihm District on Monday.

The Nihm District is imperative to both sides as it is the gateway to the quiet provincial capital of the Sana’a Governorate.

Kabul Attack Death Toll Rises To 43
[ToloNews] At least 43 people were killed, and 10 others were maimed after a group of attackers stormed a government building in Kabul on Monday, front man for Ministry of Public Health, Wahid Majrooh confirmed.

The Ministry of Interior's front man Najib Danish meanwhile said that at least 28 people were killed, and 20 others were maimed in the attack.

He said the building was cleared by the security forces at about 1am.

On Monday afternoon, a number of attackers stormed a government building in downtown Kabul ‐ few kilometers in the east of the green zone where diplomatic offices are located ‐ at around 3pm Kabul time on Monday.

The attack started with a boom-mobile kaboom near the Ministry of Public Works and the National Authority for People with Disabilities and Martyrs’ Families in Kabul’s PD16 ‐ near Makroyan-e-Kohna colony.

Three attackers then started gunshots and entered the building of the National Authority for People with Disabilities and Martyrs’ Families.

"All three attackers were killed by the security forces," Danish said on Tuesday morning, adding that "350 employees of the government organization were rescued."

No group has so far grabbed credit for the attack.

Bill proposal to dissolve Knesset will be approved Wednesday
[Ynet] Following the coalition's decision to disperse the parliament and hold general election on April 9, minister will approve it via phone on Tuesday.

The decision to go to the polls was apparently made after it became clear that the 61-member coalition, with its one-seat majority, would not be able to pass legislation on the draft of ultra-Orthodox into the army, which had a January 15 deadline. Earlier in the day, opposition parties Yesh Atid and Yisrael Beiteinu made it clear that they did not intend to support the law. Yesh Atid leader Yair Lapid called the coalition's hoped-for compromise a payoff to draft dodgers.

"It's perfectly reasonable to go to elections now," said a smiling Netanyahu, pointing out that elections would not have been appropriate a few weeks ago, when Israel was embarking on the IDF mission to locate and destroy Hezbollah attack tunnels dug from Leb in Israel.

"Most of (Operation Northern Shield) is behind us. Now we have to go to elections and give the government a mandate to lead the country and to improve its security, economy and society," Netanyahu said.

The survey, published in Israel's Maariv newspaper, showed Netanyahu's Likud party winning 30 of parliament's 120 seats, the same number it took in the last election in 2015, and a governing majority for a Likud-led right-wing coalition bloc.

Commentary accompanying the Maariv poll said that if Netanyahu wins the election, he should be able to able to fulfil a pledge he made on Monday to form a right-wing government similar to the one he currently leads.

The poll surveyed 502 Israeli Jews and Arabs and had a margin of error of 4.3 percentage points.

Other recent polls have shown Netanyahu has remained popular among Israelis despite the investigations against him.

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) ‐ The U.S. administration has officially informed the Iraqi government that it would withdraw its combat forces from the Syrian territories, Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi said on Monday.

"U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo officially informed the (Iraqi) government that the American troops would withdraw from Syria and the support provided for Iraq would continue," Arabic-language Almaalomah news website quoted Abdul Mahdi as saying at the weekly presser.

"The Iraqi government is fully ready to deal with the repercussions of the U.S. troops withdrawal from Syria," he said, adding that Iraq has strong relations with all neighboring countries and with the majority of powers in Syria.

"The U.S. withdrawal decision from Syria will have a direct impact on the situation in Iraq," Abdul Mahdi highlighted.

Ousted Pakistani premier Sharif sentenced to seven years in jail for graft
[PRESSTV] A Pak court has tossed in the slammer
Yez got nuttin' on me, coppers! Nuttin'!
former prime minister Nawaz Sharif
... served two non-consecutive terms as prime minister, heads the Pakistain Moslem League (Nawaz). Noted for his spectacular corruption, the 1998 Pak nuclear test, border war with India, and for being tossed by General Musharraf, then by the courts...
for seven years on graft charges and fined him $25 million for corruption, the latest conviction in a series of allegations which saw him ousted from power last year.

The anti-corruption court said in its ruling on Monday that Sharif was unable to prove the source of income that led to his ownership of the al-Azizia Steel Mills in Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
The three-time prime minister was found to have been unable to demonstrate that his family had acquired the steel mill legitimately.

Sharif was taken into custody and will be sent to a prison in the city of Lahore, state-run Pakistain Television reported.

Ahead of the verdict, Sharif's Pakistain Moslem League-Nawaz (PML-N) supporters clashed outside the courthouse, with police firing tear gas against stone-throwing protesters.

The provincial government media office in a statement said the ISIS-K group member joined grinding of the peace processor in Achin district.

The statement further added that the reconciled hard boy has shown remorse regarding the destructive activities he has committed in ISIS Khurasan ranks.

He has also added that he was conducting destructive activities based on the instructions of the strangers.

The former ISIS Khurasan group member also handed over a Ak-47 assault rifle to the security forces, the provincial government added.

Nangarhar is among the relatively calm provinces in the East but both Taliban

Taliban commander among 7 killed in Farah airstrikes
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] At least seven Talibs have been killed in separate Arclight airstrikes conducted in western Farah province of Afghanistan.

The Ministry of Interior (MoI) in a statement said the security forces carried out an airstrike in Karizbedal Village in Posht Rod district, leaving at least six holy warriors dead.

The statement further added that one of the local commanders of the group identified as Mullah Bakhtiar was among those killed.

The Air Forces also carried out an airtrike targeting the vehicle of another local Taliban
...mindless ferocity in a turban...
commander'>Taliban Überstürmbannführer in Bakwa district of Farah, MoI said, adding that the Taliban Überstürmbannführer was killed and the vehicle was destroyed in the airstrike.

The anti-government armed krazed killer groups including Taliban have not commented regarding the airstrikes so far.

Farah is among the relatively volatile provinces in West of Afghanistan where Talibs are relentlessly attempting to expand their foothold and increase attacks against the government and security forces.

Afghan Special Forces release dramatic airstrikes video against militant leaders
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] The Afghan Special Operations Forces (SOF) released a dramatic video purportedly showing a combination of series of Arclight airstrikes against the Talibs in various parts of the country.

The video starts with an airstrike against a Taliban
...the Pashtun equivalent of men...
group member identified as Hazrat who is being targeted on a roadside and subsequently purports to show the airstrike which eliminated the executioner of Taliban Mohib Jan alias Haroon.

The video also purports to show an airstrike against Mullah Abdul Jabar, Taliban’s chief of suicide operations in Helmand
...an Afghan province populated mostly by Pashtuns, adjacent to Injun country in Pak Balochistan...
province.

In other parts of the video an airstrike purportedly shows the elimination of Mullah Ahmad, Taliban’s shadow intelligence chief in Helmand while another airstrike purports to show a raid against Shafi, ISIS Khurasan explosives controller.

It is yet not clear if the airstrikes were exclusively carried out by the Afghan Air Forces as both the Afghan and U.S. forces conduct regular airstrikes against the anti-government armed krazed killers.

However,
we can't all be heroes. Somebody has to sit on the curb and applaud when they go by...
it is worth mentioning that the Afghan Air Forces have been conducting sophisticated air sorties against the bully boyz for the past several months and recently launched night airstrikes against the krazed killer groups, mainly targeting the bully boyz in the restive southern provinces of Afghanistan.

Mount Etna erupts, covering villages in ash & halting air traffic
[RT] A surge in earthquakes have been plaguing Sicily after Europe’s highest and most active volcano began spewing lava from a new fracture. Mount Etna's eruption covered nearby villages in ash and shut down the Catania airport.

Mount Etna marked Christmas celebrations with a spike in seismic activity, causing a new fracture to open up at the base of a southeast crater at around 11 am Monday morning. Soon after, lava flows began pouring out of the crack, eventually sending an ash column spewing eastward into the sky. People on the mountainside were urged to evacuate the area immediately.

Lebron apologizes for sharing rap lyrics on 'Jewish money'
[Ynet] Basketball champion sorry for posting quote from 21 Savage song: 'We been getting that Jewish money, everything is Kosher'; says he meant it as a compliment.

American basketball champion Lebron James apologized Sunday for posting anti-Semitic rap lyrics on his massively popular Instagram account over the weekend.

"Apologies, for sure, if I offended anyone," James told ESPN, referring to his post with lyrics including the words "getting that Jewish money" on his account, which has 45.8 million followers.

The lyrics are from the song "ASMR" by hip-hop artist 21 Savage. James posted the lyrics, "We been getting that Jewish money, everything is Kosher," onto his Instagram Stories on Saturday, while riding as a passenger in a vehicle clad in a purple sweatshirt of his team the LA Lakers.

"That's not why I chose to share that lyric; I always (post lyrics), that's what I do. I ride in my car, I listen to great music and that was the byproduct of it," he said. "So, I actually thought it was a compliment and obviously it wasn't through the lens of a lot of people; my apologies. It definitely was not the intent, obviously, to hurt anybody."

After sports business news hound Darren Rovell of The Action Network posted a screen shot of the athlete's Instagram story to Twitter on Sunday, James received some criticism online.

But the world-famous player said that he viewed the lyric as complimentary towards Jewish people for their reputed business acumen. However,
there's more than one way to stuff a chicken...
the historic stereotype linking Jewish people to money makes it understandable that many would find the lyrics offensive.

"Historically, Jewish materialism was used by anti-Semites seeking to demean the value of Judaism," Yale professor Eliyahu Stern told the Times of Israel in August 2018. "It's often been used as a way of delegitimizing Judaism's spiritual and religious values by those who depict Judaism as a cover for hoarding, egoism, and an expression of difference."

Many of Lebron's fans came to his defense, arguing that he cannot be accused of anti-Semitism for merely sharing somebody else's lyrics. But Rovell asked if "quoting lyrics from a song absolve the person quoting from the responsibility behind the words? I’d argue no, especially with a following of 45 million."

#3  ALSO - Outkick The Coverage report:
Last night LeBron James compared NFL owners to slavemasters further cementing his status as the dumbest man in athletics who has ever been taken seriously as smart by woke sports media obsessed with pretending a man with a high school education who has never made an intelligent statement unrelated to basketball is somehow the Albert Einstein of our era.

What’s most remarkable about the commentary is that it occurred on a taped television show airing on HBO meaning LeBron and his posse viewed this footage and considered it to be worthy of airing on television. Again, this wasn’t an offhanded comment uttered in jest in a locker room after a game, it was taped footage that was chosen out of hours of commentary to be featured on a television show.

Here is exactly what was said:
“In the NFL they got a bunch of old white men owning teams, and they got that slave mentality. And it’s like, ‘This is my team. You do what the fuck I tell y’all to do or we get rid of y’all.’

“The players are who make the ship go. We make it go. Every Sunday, without Todd Gurley and without Odell Beckham, Jr. without those players, those guys, there is no football. And it’s the same in the NBA.”

The comments are so dumb and so uneducated it’s amazing that anyone can take them seriously.

But many in our modern day WokeCenter media will take them seriously so let’s unpack this stupidity once and for all.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Turkish forces given ‘green light’ to launch Manbij offensive
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Ottoman Turkish military and their rebel allies have been given the "green light" to begin their offensive to capture the key town of Manbij in northern Aleppo, the Yeni Safak publication reported on Monday.

According to the Yeni Safak report, more than 8,000 Ottoman Turkish soldiers and Free Syrian Army
... the more palatable version of the Syrian insurgency, heavily influenced by the Moslem Brüderbund...
(FSA) fighters were deployed to the Manbij front to capture the town from the "Kurdistan Workers Party" (PKK).

The PKK reference is for the Syrian Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and People’s Protection Units (YPG), who are considered terrorist groups by The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the decaying remnant of the Ottoman Empire....
The Yeni Safak report claims that the primary purpose of this Manbij operation is to eliminate the "PKK’s supply line from the Assad regime."

The YPG and SDF troops in northern Syria were embedded with the U.S. Coalition and do not have any military ties with the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in Manbij.

In response to the buildup of Ottoman Turkish forces in Manbij, the Syrian Arab Army has begun amassing troops to the south of the town in order to prevent any advance into their areas.

Barcelona boosts security after US warns of possible attack
[DW] Police in Barcelona were looking into a terror threat after the US State Department warned travelers to avoid the city's Las Ramblas area. The authorities were reportedly searching for a 30-year-old Moroccan bus driver.

Catalan police were checking coaches, buses, and minibuses in Barcelona on Monday, after the local media reported on a possible terror plot involving a 30-year-old Moroccan. The man is reported to have a bus driver license. The daily El Periodico de Catalunya said that the police have circulated an internal note that the man could drive a bus into civilians.

The authorities also boosted police presence at popular tourist landmarks, including the Sagrada Familia Cathedral and the Las Ramblas Boulevard, according to the Spanish daily El Pais. In 2017, a 22-year-old Moroccan drive a van into crowds at Las Ramblas, killing 16 and injuring 131 people. He was killed several days later.

On Sunday, the US State Department unexpectedly tweeted a terror warning to travelers in Barcelona. The message advises visitors to exercise "heightened caution" around vehicles "including buses" in the Las Ramblas area.

"Terrorists may attack with little or no warning, targeting tourist locations, transportation hubs, and other public areas," the US officials said.

Talking to Rac1 Radio on Monday, Catalonian Interior Minister Miquel Buch confirmed that the police were "working on this threat."

"All of (the threats) are being intensively," Buch said. "This is one more."

Buch also defended the decision not to raise Spain's threat level, which the authorities have long held at four out of maximum five.

The official said it would be a "mistake to allow ourselves to live in fear."

"We need to be able to live in absolute freedom and normality," he told the radio. "If we don't, we are handing them the victory."
El Pais adds:
As a result of the information that they have received, the Catalan police, the Mossos d’Esquadra, are now looking for a man who has been identified as B. L., 30, from Casablanca, Morocco. This man is in possession of a bus driver’s license and he has a police record in Spain for insulting a member of the Civil Guard at Málaga airport in 2006.

The police are currently carrying out checks on bus and minibus drivers in the center of Barcelona and monitoring car rental companies in a bid to locate the potential suspect. There is no indication that he is currently on Spanish territory.

These kinds of alerts are common over the Christmas season and the Interior Ministry has the terror alert set at level 4 on a scale of 5.

Somali Military Court Executes Al Shabaab Bomber
[RADIOSHABELLE] The criminal mastermind of turban boom-mobiles that killed 26 people and injured nearly 40 others in Mogadishu in 2017 was executed in Somalia on Monday, the prosecutor of the military court said.

Al-Shabaab wants to overthrow the weak, U.N.-backed Somali government and impose strict Islamic law.

It has steadily been losing territory since African Union

peacekeepers arrived a decade ago, but still carries out frequent bombings in the capital.

At least 13 people were killed and 17 maimed in a car kaboom claimed by the al Qaeda-linked group close to the president’s residence in Mogadishu on Saturday.

Famous Turkish actor accused of ‘insulting Erdogan’
[IsraelTimes] A famous Ottoman Turkish actor is accused of insulting President Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First
... Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey...
and inciting an armed uprising over comments made during a television program last week, local media reports.

Metin Akpinar ‐ who is also a well-known comedian in The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
‐ is taken in by police for questioning, along with another Ottoman Turkish actor, Mujdat Gezen.

"If we don’t become a (democracy)... the leader might be hung from his feet or maybe poisoned in the cellars or meet the same end as other leaders in the past," Akpinar, 77, reportedly said on television on Friday.

An Istanbul court says the two men will be released on conditional bail after they were summoned to give statements to prosecutors. But they will have to report to a cop shoppe once a week and are banned from leaving Turkey.

Both men are suspected of "insulting the president." Akpinar also is suspected of "inciting an armed uprising against the government," the Istanbul public prosecutor says, quoted by Hurriyet daily.
