Mainstream Media: Trump fans are hurting our feelings!
Opinion piece by Todd Starns
The Mainstream Media says Donald Trump and his supporters have hurt their feelings.

CNN's Wolf Blizter unloaded on Kellyanne Conway, Trump's campaign manager -- demanding that they stop heckling journalists.

"He shouldn't be doing that," Blitzer said on CNN. "I mean, can you talk to him? And say to him, 'Mr. Trump, we only have a few days left, and these are hardworking young journalists, they deserve to have some security,' if you will, because of some of those Trump supporters out there, they get pretty nasty with what they're screaming at these young people."

Blitzer actually told her that some of the reporters are scared.

Well, boo-hoo and bless their hearts (as we say back in the South).
In my family we say: Touch titty said the kitty cause the milk's all gone!
I'll be sure to muster a bit of sympathy for the terrified and tearful reporters, quivering in their safe spaces in some darkened corner of a Trump venue.

Ms. Conway should've asked for a list of journalists who had been attacked at Trump rallies by Trump supporters. To my knowledge, there are none.

For the record, Trump and his supporters are not heckling at journalists. They're heckling at Clinton's media operatives.
True enough
The Mainstream Media is just getting a taste of what they've been doing to Donald Trump
and just about every other conservative - not that Trump is much of a conservative
ever since he announced his campaign for the White House.

I'd like to encourage the Mainstream Media to put on their big boy pants and man up.
I'm afraid they wet their pants last friday with that FBI Letter.

Obama told us he's honorable ‐ but he's just another liar
[NYPost] At least President Obama is honest. Or so goes the common perception. He tried, maybe he made mistakes, the other side was mean to him, but through it all, he didn't lie.
*SNORT* Just woke up, did ya?
That view got smithereened this week. It was always hard to believe the president's repeated claim that he didn't know his own secretary of state was using an off-the-books e-mail server to avoid public scrutiny, in the process virtually guaranteeing that she would commit multiple felonies by taking classified information into the open.

Now we know Obama was lying. His own aides said so, in e-mails uncovered by WikiLeaks and made public this week.

In March 2015, Obama made the ridiculous claim that he had learned about Clinton's e-mail server "the same time everybody else learned it, through news reports." In fact, not only did he know she was using a private e-mail address for state business, but he had corresponded with her via that address.
by a pseudonym as well. "NotaMuslim"...OK, I made that name up, still, why would he use a nickname, and not his own unless he knew it was shady shit?
"We need to clean this up ‐ he has e-mails from her ‐ they do not say state.gov," Cheryl Mills, a top aide, wrote to John Podesta, another senior adviser, on March 7, 2015.

Obama spokesman Josh Earnest did indeed try to "clean this up," two days later, by changing the subject.

"The point that the president was making is not that he didn't know Secretary Clinton's e-mail address ‐ he did ‐ but he was not aware of the details of how that e-mail address and server had been set up, or how Secretary Clinton and her team were planning to comply with the Federal Records Act," Earnest said.

Try that technique on your wife sometime when she finds out you were at a blonde's house when you said you were going to church. "I didn't mean to say I was at Holy Name ‐ I wasn't ‐ but I just want to clarify that I was not aware of what year the church was built."

Despite the sacred sheen of Obama idealism that the media have been struggling to keep polished all these years, our president is an ordinary politician who lies for the same reason other pols do. He thinks whatever means he uses are justified by the ends ‐ his awesome mission to make America a better place.

In promoting ObamaCare, Obama repeatedly and shamelessly lied to the American people: "If you like the plan you have, you can keep it. If you like the doctor you have, you can keep your doctor, too," he said on June 6, 2009, in one of dozens of similar remarks. Obama knew this was untrue at the time; it was built into the plan that millions would lose the health plans they had.

There is a distinction between lies and political BS.

BS can involve starry-eyed thinking that won't survive acquaintance with reality. Obama might have actually believed himself when he promised "the most transparent administration in history." Today it's obvious that instead, Obama's White House has been "one of the most secretive," as Washington Post media columnist Margaret Sullivan put it.

It wasn't mere B.S. when Obama lied about Benghazi: "We revealed to the American people exactly what we understood at the time," he said on Feb. 2, 2014, though his administration knew the night of the Sept. 11, 2012 attacks that they were planned, terrorist acts. On Sept. 16, 2012, UN Ambassador Susan Rice, working from White House-approved talking points, repeatedly blamed the Benghazi attacks on a nonexistent protest over an inflammatory video.

Obama lied about the Fast and Furious operation that allowed some 2,500 firearms to be bought by Mexican drug cartels. One such gun was used to murder US Border Patrol agent Brian Terry: "The Fast and Furious program was a field-initiated program begun under the previous administration," Obama said on Sept. 20, 2012. In fact, the program was launched by Obama's Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms in October 2009.

Obama lied about immigration: "My position hasn't changed," he said on Nov. 20, 2014, as he announced unilateral executive action to normalize the status of illegal immigrants, a move he had repeatedly and correctly said he lacked the authority to make.

Obama lied about the IRS's targeting of conservatives, even contradicting his own statements that the harassment was "inexcusable" and made him "angry" on May 15, 2013. Less than a year later, when the heat was off, he said there was "not even a smidgen of corruption" and the IRS's vendetta against right-leaning groups was totally excusable as a bureaucratic snafu.

You get the idea; Google "Politifact Obama false" for lots more along the same lines.

Once upon a time, when we were all bedazzled by his freshness, Obama set about saying whatever it took to get elected. Remember when he promised health-care negotiations would be broadcast on C-SPAN, when he said his deeply held religious beliefs meant he couldn't support gay marriage, when he said he would not raise any kind of taxes on families earning less than $250,000?

Faith in him proved enduring. Some of his fanboys insist to this day that Obama is a transcendent figure, a "lightworker."

Nonsense. He’s just another lying politician.

Flashback: Bill Clinton cheered 11th hour indictment that doomed Bush re-election
Whispers of "payback" are being directed at Hillary Clinton after she decried as "unprecedented" the surprise FBI revival of its probe of her email scandal.

That's because 24 years ago, as former President George H.W. Bush was surging back against challenger Bill Clinton, a special prosecutor raised new charges against Bush in the Iran-Contra probe, prompting Clinton to claim he was running against a "culture of corruption."

Manure load dumped at Democratic headquarters
A load of manure was dumped outside the Democratic Party headquarters in Warren County.
"Eh? Maneuvers, y'say? Who's maneuverin'?"
"What reasonable person thinks this is OK????" party chair Bethe Goldenfield said in a post in the Greater Cincinnati Politics Facebook Group. "I won't be responding to anyone who thinks this is acceptable behavior. It is ILLEGAL!"

The same thing happened in 2012, Goldenfield noted. The suburban Cincinnati county is overwhelmingly Republican; Mitt Romney got 69 percent of the vote four years ago. It's been almost 40 years since a Democrat was elected to countywide office.

Goldenfield told The Enquirer the Warren County Sheriff's Office called her around 7:45 a.m. Saturday alerting her to the manure pile outside the Lebanon building.
"Right in front o' the daggone door?"
Deputies met party officials later to review video.
"A-yep. Dat'sa pile o' poop!"
"Hopefully the perps will be held accountable for their actions," she said.
Then her lips fell off.

-Short Attention Span Theater-
Students Riot After Professor Declares Opposition to Law Forcing LGBT Pronouns
LGBT activists have a new public enemy number 1: Jordan B. Peterson. Peterson is a professor of psychology at the University of Toronto (formerly at Harvard). Peterson insists on choosing his own words (how tyrannical!) and objects to legislation forcing people to refer to LGBT individuals by their chosen pronouns. This is damnable heresy, and activists must denounce him as a "bigot."

"Careless, ideologically-addled legislators are forcing us to use words we did not freely choose," Peterson declared in an op-ed for The Hill. The Canadian professor admitted that there are reasonable restrictions on free speech -- like prohibiting yelling "fire!" in a crowded room. "There is, however, a crucial difference between laws that stop people from saying arguably dangerous words and laws that mandate the use of politically-approved words and phrases."

In other words, Peterson objects to any law forcing people to speak in certain ways. This is a more dangerous limit on freedom than prohibiting a few dangerous forms of speech.

Naturally, social justice warriors (SWJs) can't stand for this. Mobs have gathered to protest his arguments for free speech. At a University of Toronto protest earlier this month, SJWs chanted, "Shame! Shame!" as Peterson attempted to speak. A pair of women (or, should I say womyn?) tampered with a speaker to drown out his words. He was swarmed a day later by queer (their word) and transgender people, who attacked him for refusing to refer to a person as "they/them" as "a matter of respect."
OK, so there's way too many for a normal person to remember. How about a catch-all pronoun, such as 'dipshit'?
Peterson is protesting the Canadian Bill C-16, which on first reading seems reasonable enough. It would amend the Canadian Human Rights Act and the Criminal Code to add "gender identity or expression" to the list of protected classes. So what's the problem? "Discrimination" on the basis of "gender identity or expression" includes "misgendering" people -- i.e. referring to them with the "wrong" gender pronoun.

If you want to see what this looks like, the Big Apple provides an example. In May, the New York City Commission on Human Rights declared that refusing to refer to someone by their preferred gender pronoun (from "him and her" to "ze, xe, hir," and many others) is "harassment" and punishable by "civil penalties up to $125,000 for violations, and up to $250,000 for violations that are the result of willful, wanton, or malicious conduct."
In that case, I want to be referred to as 'Your Majesty'.
HeatStreet published a hilarious video showing just how misunderstood many of the officially protected gender identity terms are (and by extension, how difficult it would be to keep track of everyone's different pronouns). Or, at least, it's hilarious unless you live in the Big Apple and can be fined up to $250,000 for not using one of these words to refer to a particular individual. This is not just arbitrary, it can be quite oppressive.

Top Jewish GOP donor: I don't care who Trump kissed or didn't kiss
Since a dozen women came forward in recent weeks accusing Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump of sexually assaulting them, following the release of a tape in which the candidate boasts about groping women, many in the Republican camp have turned their backs on him, retracting their endorsements.

Some major donors to the campaign have even asked for their money back.

But Jewish venture capitalist and longtime GOP donor Kenneth Abramowitz, will not back down from his support of Trump for the presidency.

Abramowitz, who describes himself as a rational centrist, told The Jerusalem Post last week he believes Republican figures who have abandoned the candidate were simply "taken back by the allegations of these women and they handled it poorly."

"Even if they are true, when I compare that to all of Hillary Clinton’s evil and corruption and incompetence, that I find so threatening for the future of America, I’m going to overlook these allegations," he told the Post.

Comey and Putin now in cahoots sez angry dems.
[Zero] Democrats are angry. Mainstream media are angry. Clinton campaign members are angry. And all because the director of The FBI dared to enforce the law as he saw fit, with awkward timing for the future warmonger-in-chief's followers.

Clinton campaign head John Podesta lashed out that the FBI chief's letter was "long on innuendo and short on facts," adding that there was "no evidence of wrongdoing, no charge of wrongdoing, and no indication that this was even about Hillary."

And so, The Democratic Coalition Against Trump filed a complaint with the Department of Justice Office of Professional Responsibility on Friday against FBI Director James Comey for interfering in the Presidential election, following the FBI’s decision to open up an investigation into Secretary Clinton’s emails this close to Election Day. Federal employees are forbidden from participating in political activities under the Hatch Act.

Justice Dept. warned FBI against letter on Clinton emails
[The Hill] FBI Director James Comey went against the wishes of Attorney General Loretta Lynch when he sent a letter to lawmakers Friday notifying them that the agency was reviewing new emails "pertinent" to the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private email server.

A government official who requested anonymity to discuss the matter told The Hill that the Justice Department’s stance was to abstain from taking any actions that could impact the presidential race.

"The AG’s position is consistent with the department’s position not to take investigative steps that would influence an election so close to an election and to not comment on ongoing investigations. Director Comey decided to operate independently of that guidance by sending that letter to the Hill."
The official said that while Lynch and Comey did not discuss the matter directly, "the position of the department was made clear to the FBI."

It has long been the policy to avoid wading into presidential elections.

"Law enforcement officers and prosecutors may never select the timing of investigative steps or criminal charges for the purpose of affecting any election, or for the purpose of giving an advantage or disadvantage to any candidate or political party," a 2012 memo from former Attorney General Eric Holder read. "Such a purpose is inconsistent with the Department's mission and with the Principles of Federal Prosecution."

In a note to staffers that preceded his letter to Congress, Comey wrote: "Of course, we don’t ordinarily tell Congress about ongoing investigations, but here I feel I also think it would be misleading to the American people were we not to supplement the record."

Comey has taken heat from both sides of the aisle for not giving enough information about the new developments in the Clinton case. He said only that FBI was reviewing additional emails found through an unrelated investigation.
Con't.

Trump Calls Stephanopoulos for HRC Donations During Interview (Video)
[GP] Donald Trump and Melania Trump held and interview with George Stephanopoulos from ABC News. Stephanopoulos always tries to come across as some sort of intellectual non-biased journalist but this is far from the truth.

Stephanopoulos worked for the Clintons in the 1990’s and was the White House communications Director from 1992 through 1996.

George also donated to the Clinton Foundation and was noted in WikiLeaks as one of the many media ’journalists’ doing all they can to get Hillary elected.

But he got Trumped ‐ at the 18 min 40 second mark of the interview he asks Trump if he would have done anything different and Trump’s response was epic.

George Stephanopoulos: When you look back over the sweep of this campaign, going back to last June, is there anything you regret?

Donald Trump: Oh absolutely I would have loved to have done certain things over but you can’t. You can’t. But that’s true in life. I would have loved to have done in life certain things over I guess. And you would have too.

George Stephanopoulos: Give me one.

Donald Trump: You would loved not to have contributed to the Clinton Foundation as an example. There are things you wish you wouldn’t do... But George all you can do is put your head down and move forward.

HAH-HAH-HAH!

Former FBI Asst. Director: Final Bomb About to Drop on Hillary in Next 10 Days (VIDEO)
[GP] James Kallstrom, former Assistant Director of the FBI, went on with Judge Jeanine Pirro to discuss the latest announced FBI investigation of Hillary Clinton.

Kallstrom says he thinks "something big is going to happen."

James Kallstrom: I think there’s something happening. People are asking me what is this about. I think something big is going to happen. I don’t know what it is. It’s just my gut feeling. I think so.

Judge Jeanine: So he wouldn’t have come out unless he knew it was coming out?

James Kallstrom: Well, I think he couldn’t hold onto it any longer. OK. Because who knows? Maybe the locals would have stepped in on this.

Judge Jeanine: ...I think he had to do it.

Yes, knowing it's out there and saying nothing... much to damning. My hunch as well. Could there be bodies involved ?

#2  My theory is that it's evidence of a conspiracy or coverup of some kind, and trying to cover that evidence up would make him a party to the crime.

Emails not from Hillary
Emails not found on her server
Doesn't even know yet what the content of the emails is?

This could backfire big time.

It looks like Comey blew it in June and he is blowing it now.

#7  I think they've found direct evidence that Huma is a foreign intelligence asset and was passing all kinds of information on to her handlers.

I think it is a major espionage blowup and the Democrats including Lynch and the POTUS knew about this a long time ago and let it run.

There were suggestions that the Clinton Corruption LLC has many of the top democrats on the take and combined with a major intelligence blowup, I think we know from this why the Iranians were able to negotiate with such confidence and why Kerry was constantly blindsided by their demands...they knew what the US was after before he did.

#9  From Wikipedia:

Section 2703 (18 U.S.C. § 2703) of the SCA describes the conditions under which the government is able to compel an ISP to disclose "customer or subscriber" content and non-content information for each of these types of service:[8]

Electronic communication service. If an unopened email has been in storage for 180 days or less, the government must obtain a search warrant. There has been debate over the status of opened emails in storage for 180 days or less, which may fall in this category or the "remote computing service" category.[3]

Remote computing service. If a communication has been in storage for more than 180 days or is held "solely for the purpose of providing storage or computer processing services" the government can use a search warrant, or, alternatively, a subpoena or a "specific and articulable facts" court order (called a 2703(d) order) combined with prior notice to compel disclosure. Prior notice can be delayed for up to 90 days if it would jeopardize an investigation. Historically, opened or downloaded email held for 180 days or less has fallen in this category, on the grounds that it is held "solely for the purpose of storage."[3]

#11  The issue is complicated because the computer is considered to belong to Anthony Weiner, her estranged husband, and the case may raise spousal privilege legal protections for Abedin.
Government lawyers hope to secure the warrant to permit investigators to review thousands of emails on a computer Abedin shared with Weiner, officials said.
The new search warrant is needed because the existing authorization, covered by a subpoena, related only to the ongoing investigation of Weiner, who is accused of having sexually explicit communications with an underage girl.

#12  I'll bet that the U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara out of NYC turned up overwhelming evidence of felonies in his investigation of the Clinton Foundation and that it opened a can of worms that led to other things such as the Weiner/Abedin computer. He presented this info to Comey and Comey was painted into a corner and had no choice but to do something. That led to the CYA letter to Congress. Just conjecture at this point.

#14  (TOTALLY UNCONFIRMED)

Amazing Now read this FROM AN FBI Insider

FBI insider confirms everyone’s worst suspicions.

The Hillary Clinton e-mail server was merely a distraction from the Clinton Foundation and most of
Washington, D.C. is in up to their necks in what could be the biggest scandal of all times. This inside info comes from someone claiming to be a high level FBI analyst whose job was to look at the records, with his notes added. The smoking gun is about to arrive and there are “a lot of people involved”. To save everyone time, what follows here are the choice bits. Looks like Trump and Putin hold some of the cards. This could be the most interesting election ever.

There is intense pressure within the FBI for us not to indict Hillary. I am posting from a position of
near anonymity and enough plausible deniability to evade prosecution, as we have all been given gag orders. There is enough for Hillary and the entire government to be brought down. People do not realize how enormous this whole situation actually is. Whether she will be indicted or not depends on how much info about others involved gets out, and there are a lot of people involved. The real point of interest is the Clinton Foundation, not the e-mail server. We received the server from Benghazi, then from the server we found data on the Clinton Foundation. Then we realized the situation is much worse than previously thought.

Super Classified Materials on the Clinton Email Server: Hillary had Special Access Programs on her server, which if made public, would literally cause an uprising and possibly foreign declarations of war. A Special Access Program is an intelligence program classified above top-secret. These programs are supposed to be held on closed servers at secret locations. The only way to get one is if you are specifically read on to a program, have a need to know, then you must physically go to a location and pass through several layers of security to even look at the program. A good example in non-classified terms would be the locations and operations of our intelligence operatives around the globe, or our missile silo locations.

A Bigger Problem than Hillary: Killing Hillary would not cause this problem to go away. The problem is with the Clinton Foundation as I mentioned, which you should just imagine as a massive spider web of connections and money laundering, implicating hundreds of high-level people. Though I do not have a high opinion of Hillary, she is just a piece -albeit a big piece – of this massive storm. Legal is asking preliminary questions about whether or not she has been coached (she has) and setting up the general line of questioning. I am a high level analyst though, so my job is only to look at her records.

The Department of Justice is most likely looking to save itself. Find everyone involved in the Clinton Foundation, from its donors to its Board of Directors, and imagine they are all implicated. The entire Federal Government is involved. My opinion is the entire government is guilty of treason, which is why Hillary's death would not cease the investigation or prevent further scandals. Many, many people are involved. There already is evidence enough to indict.

FBI Director Comey has been trying to stall because he does not want to face the Clinton Machine, as well as the rest of Washington D.C. But this case would explode into a million other cases if fully brought to light, & then we would be one agency competing against the entire government and a hoard of other interests. It is a very tense an uncomfortable position. What Attorney General Loretta Lynch is saying is she will accept whatever they do and make her determination as she will. Nothing about her responsibilities has changed, she is simply trying to keep her hide intact.

Foreign Powers Have Some of the Documents; Russia Will Probably Leak All Info they Have. Foreign powers are in possession of some of the documents we have analyzed, because they were hacked from the Clinton server. The leaks will have to be made in a non-transparent fashion. If we recommend, we literally hand over documentation implying the entire government is involved in treason at the highest levels and everyone is about to duck and cover, as well as some sensitive details of Special Access Programs which would obliterate national security. I am not sure, but some of my war strategy buddies are estimating a high probability that Russia will leak all of the info they have to the world, since Clinton wants to go to war with them and they have no desire to be in conflict with the U.S. If we do not recommend, it will look like a cover-up and Trump will use the perception to bolster his message. I did work in PsyOps once, and Trump’s use of confirmation bias is legendary.

Bill Clinton Will Likely Die This Year. If Trump Wins, Hillary Goes to Jail. Everything is Corrupt, Even
Trump is Dirty. The entire government is corrupt. No one is clean. We have our hands tied. My message to you and everyone on this board is do not get distracted by Clinton’s e-mails. Focus on the Foundation. All of the nightmarish truth is there. The e-mails will pale in comparison. I do not know of Trump’s record, but from the case he definitely knew to limit his exposure and make it only look like a donation.

A Multitude of Scandals. Saudi Arabia visits & donates to the Clinton Foundation. Russian Uranium fiasco. Hillary and the Israel lobby, the Council on Foreign Relations. AIPAC. The list is endless. Three Choices – Could Crash Everything. I will put it to you this way: You have three choices, A) turn over all of the information to the Department of Justice, make public a recommendation, the truth comes out, the entire world realizes how much the U.S. is meddling in foreign affairs and we go to war, the civilian population realizes how much foreign money influences our government, and a civil war begins. B) cherry-pick the data to implicate the people already in the eye of public opinion, so the chips fall on the heads of a select few and the whole system does not crash. C) do nothing and watch the unstable political climate to gauge how you will respond. I am confident if Trump wins Hillary will be going to jail and that is why THEY won't allow that to happen at any costs. The Problem is the Entire Government.

FBI Director Comey will likely resign in any case. FBI is being very quiet for a reason; most of us want to keep our jobs. Snowden has nothing to do with any of this. Obama & Hillary do hate each other. Hillary hates black people & Obama dislikes recklessness. The problem is with the entire government. Hillary is just one component of that government.

Hillary Sold Safe Access Programs to Overseas “Donors”. All I can tell you about the Safe Access Programs is Hillary had them, & she did not have proper authority to have any of them. They were leaked to her by someone, & she did sell them to overseas donors. Possessing them alone makes her guilty of treason. Obama is loosely tied to the Clinton Foundation, but much more tied in with the same people who donate to the Clinton Foundation. Russian borders, Ukraine, everywhere NATO is, the South China Sea, the Philippines, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Africa. George Soros is at the heart of all of this. If it comes down to it, I would fight.

But most of us are of the opinion that Hillary will not be president, and having Trump in office makes our job that much easier. But right now we have to carefully wade through the mud. As I stated before, Bill Clinton likely wanted Loretta Lynch to focus on the e-mail server & shy away from prosecuting the foundation. MOST OF THIS IS BEYOND THE AVERAGE AMERICANS COMPREHENSION AND THEY ARE COUNTING ON THAT. Needless to say if anyone has any doubts about the validity of the above info it stands to reason that the originator has to conceal his identity. Anyone present at the FBI hearings was sworn to secrecy and leaking any info would at least cost him his job and most likely add some jail time to boot. Worst case scenario, someone probably would put a contract out on him. Most of us know, at least the ones who have paid any attention to politics know that in the past, many who have crossed the Clintons, met an unexplainable early demise...Ron Brown and Vince Foster were no exceptions.

#18  Besoeker, the FBI insider dialog first came up on a blog on July 2, 2016. This was on the same day as Hillary was "interviewed" by the FBI. On July 5, FBI Director Comey said its investigation could not "find a case that would support bringing criminal charges," though there were several areas where Comey made it clear that Clinton and her team mishandled her email. I think Comey testified before the House Oversight committee on July 7th. The fact that the FBI insider dialog occurred before Hillary's FBI interview and much of Comey's revelations about the so-called investigation lends some credence to the insider dialog.

India-Pakistan
Two Nuclear Powers Are One Skirmish Away From All Out War
[Daily Caller] India and Pakistan each expelled a high-ranking opposing diplomat Thursday amid increasing tensions over the disputed northern territory of Kashmir.

India expelled the Pakistani diplomat on charges of "espionage activities" on India’s security capabilities on the Kashmiri border. Pakistan angrily responded that the charges were "false and unsubstantiated" before itself expelling a member of the Indian High Commission in Islamabad.

Tensions between the two countries skyrocketed after India suppressed a civilian uprising in Kashmir, culminating in the Indian killing of Kashmiri militant leader Burhan Wani. Wani was a major agitator against Indian administration of Kashmir, and frequently posted social media videos calling for violent uprising. His death sparked widespread protests across Kashmir, and was strongly condemned by the Pakistani government.

As angry rhetoric about terrorist sponsorship increased on both sides, a border clash between the two security forces erupted Sept. 17. Islamist militants stormed into an Indian Army base and gunned down 17 Indian soldiers, which the Indian government immediately blamed on Pakistan. "I am deeply disappointed with Pakistan’s continued and direct support to terrorism and terrorist groups," India’s Home Minister Rajnath Singh said on Twitter after the attack.

The Indian government claimed two weeks later Oct. 3 to have conducted "surgical strikes" by special forces across the Pakistani line of control in Kashmir. Indian incursion into Pakistan without prior notice again inflamed tensions to higher levels. The Pakistani government denies any such raid took place.

Experts say Pakistan’s government insists the strikes did not took place, because if they did so they would be forced to respond. "The Pakistani military would be forced to retaliate in the event of a more prominent strike," retired Indian Army Col. Ajai Shukla wrote in a New Delhi paper.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi even pulled out of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation scheduled for November. Modi then went so far as to denounce Pakistan as the "mothership of terrorism" at a Oct. 26 meeting with Russian, Chinese and Brazilian heads of state. Modi’s escalation rhetoric is meant to put pressure on Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to crackdown on terrorist militant groups operating inside his borders.

The problem is Sharif has a limited amount of authority over the Pakistani Army, which is seen as the main sponsor of the militant groups. "Prime Minister Sharif knows better than most that there are limits to how far he can push the army without the army pushing him out the door," he elaborated. Sharif was ousted in a 1999 coup d’état by Pakistani Army Gen. Pervez Musharraf.

The tensions even extend to the cultural realm. Nationalist fervor is sweeping India in the wake of the September attacks, as prominent Indian film directors came out pledging not to hire Pakistani actors, or screen films with Pakistani cast members. Pakistan angrily responded by banning all Indian radio and television shows from the country, despite their widespread popularity.

While nationalist fervor and strong rhetoric is good for Modi domestically, it is amplifying support for the army in Pakistan, according to Myra MacDonald’s, author of "Defeat Is an Orphan: How Pakistan Lost the Great South Asian War."

"When we get to the next terror attack, which is probably only a matter of time, the prime minister has boxed himself in, and he can’t take the route his predecessors did and choose to use solely diplomatic alternatives without some loss of face," Brookings Institution fellow Bruce Riedel told The New York Times Oct. 23.

The Huffington Post Is Having A MELTDOWN Over Hillary's Emails
[Daily Caller] Wondering if Friday’s stunning announcement about Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton’s emails was bad news for Clinton? Look no further than The Huffington Post.

Given that HuffPo labels Republican nominee Donald Trump a "racist" in every article about him, it isn’t surprising that it’s upset about FBI Director James Comey’s announcement and would seek to downplay or debunk it. But HuffPo went above and beyond, adopting a front page that can only be described as hysterical in tone:
Go to the link to see a screenshot of the meltdown in three colours, three type sizes, two fonts, some ALL CAPS, scare quotes, and exclamation points! They must have been prostrate with exhaustion by the time they were done.
Meanwhile, in a display of auspicious timing, within an hour of Comey’s announcement, HuffPo reporter Ryan Grim tried to drop a bombshell on Trump, posting video he claimed showed Trump "sexually humiliating" a woman during a 2011 speech. But the video itself certainly invites other interpretations.

FBI Hillary investigation bombshell is why we should not have early voting
[LI] Now that the Weinergate story has broken, how many early voters may wish they could go back and change their votes? We’ll never know and it doesn’t matter because they can’t do it. This is a perfect example of why we shouldn’t have early voting.

The practice has the potential to encourage fraud because campaigns can analyze early voting data and know where they need stronger turnout on election day.

The Wall Street Journal provides a look at how early voting is going so far:

Early Voting Bolsters Hillary Clinton in Key States

Democrat Hillary Clinton appears to have a slight edge over Republican rival Donald Trump in a number of battleground states and among important demographic groups based on an analysis of the millions of votes already cast both at polling places and by absentee ballot.

Mrs. Clinton is seeing positive signs of enthusiasm in such states as Florida and Nevada. She is also seeing strong turnout rates in the early vote from Latinos and women.

But Mr. Trump may have an advantage in the midwestern battlegrounds of Ohio and Iowa, where Democratic voter interest appears to be flagging compared with the 2012 presidential, records show.

According to data compiled by the United States Elections Project and the Associated Press, at least 17 million votes had already been cast as of Friday. Early voting is under way in a number of top-tier battlegrounds including Florida, Nevada, Iowa and North Carolina. Absentee voting has been happening in some form in every state, thanks to laws that require military and overseas ballots to be ready by September.

CNN also reports that early voting is benefiting Hillary:

Security forces foil ISIS attack attempt on Ramadi

(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – Anbar Police Command announced foiling an attempt by the Islamic State to attack the city of Ramadi.

Police Captain Ahmed al-Dilami said in a brief statement, “Security forces arrested 11 ISIS members, while planing to attack the city of Ramadi.”

“The security operation targeted a number of hideouts belonging to the ISIS in Tash area, south of the city,” Dilami added.

Last February, security forces managed to recapture the city of Ramadi from the ISIS control, but only a limited number of civilians returned back to their houses in the city.

Rajee Barakat, the member of the security committee in Anbar Provincial Council, said that security forces raided many houses of suspected people in Tash area.

“The terrorists confessed during the interrogation that ISIS was planning to launch an attack on the city of Ramadi,” Barakat said.

The attack attempt on the city of Ramadi is coinciding with the battles launched by Iraqi and international coalition forces earlier this month to liberate the city of Mosul.

Arabia
Guards thwart suicide attack on Yemen central bank
ADEN, Yemen: Guards thwarted a suicide attack on the Yemeni central bank on Saturday opening fire on the bomber’s vehicle and blowing it up before it reached the building, a security official said.

The central bank has been based in the government-controlled second city of Aden since last month, when President Abedabbo Mansour Hadi ordered its relocation from the rebel-held capital Sanaa accusing the rebels of running down its foreign reserves.

Five guards were wounded when the bomber’s vehicle blew up around 30 meters from the bank building, the security official told AFP.

The force of the blast shattered the bank’s windows and caused damage to other nearby buildings.

The bank’s relocation has been a major blow to the rebels, forcing them to halt salary payments to state employees in the large areas of the country they control.

The move came after a UN report released in August found that the rebels and their allies were diverting about $100 million a month from the central bank, and that its foreign reserves had dwindled to $1.3 billion from about $4 billion in November 2014.

A Saudi-led coalition has been fighting the rebels alongside Hadi’s forces since March last year but his writ is still largely confined to the south and areas along the Saudi border.

Government targets in Aden have also been repeatedly hit by jihadists of both Al-Qaeda and its rival the Daesh group.

The two groups have taken advantage of the conflict between the government and the rebels to bolster their presence across much of the south.

-Lurid Crime Tales-
‘Very wealthy' New Yorker offers ‘extravagant amount' of money to Weiner for his computer, cell phone
A New York state assembly candidate is offering up a large sum of money to embattled former Rep. Anthony Weiner in return for his electronic devices.
Isn't that a conspiracy to obstruct justice at this point?
Dr. Dean Hart, a life-long Democrat from Long Island, said he plans to drop by the former congressman's Manhattan home later Friday evening to deliver his written request and the money, should Weiner choose to comply with the request. While the specific sum of money is undisclosed, Hart revealed to TheBlaze that it is in the "high six-figure" range, as he is a "very, very wealthy man."

"What's going on with Anthony Weiner is unbelievable, and someone needed to step up to the plate," Hart said. "Someone needs to rescue him, somebody needs to provide for him some sort of financial support."

Hart contended that Weiner has been out of work "possibly" because of the "illness" that he faces and the money could provide a financial cushion for him to "get him out of the house" and "stay out of trouble." And, as he said Weiner is "shameless in a lot of ways," Hart predicted he would take his money.

But he also asserted that he needs to take Weiner's electronic devices away from him in order to protect Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton from being brought down with him, especially as the former congressman has been accused of exchanging lewd messages with an underaged girl.

The Clinton campaign team throws FBI Director Comey under bus
[Guardian] Hillary Clinton's campaign chair on Saturday led a chorus of Democratic party fury over the FBI’s decision to review a new batch of her staff’s emails, which was announced just 11 days before the presidential election in a striking break with law enforcement tradition.

The Clinton campaign launched an extraordinary criticism of James Comey, the director of the FBI, who faced anger for his dramatic and late intervention in the race, which deviated from FBI protocol. Comey stood accused of betraying the bureau’s political neutrality, and came under growing pressure to make public everything he knows.

The latest twist in a topsy turvy election arrived on Friday afternoon, when Comey said in a letter to Congress the FBI would review whether there was any classified information in new "emails that appear to be pertinent to the investigation". In a carefully worded letter, the director said he wanted to "supplement my previous testimony" about the original Clinton email investigation, which he told Congress had closed this summer, and said: "The FBI cannot yet assess whether or not this material may be significant."

On Saturday, Clinton campaign chair John Podesta said: "By providing selective information, he’s allowed partisans to distort and exaggerate in order to inflict maximum political damage and no one can separate what is true from what is not because Comey has not been forthcoming with the facts.

"What little Comey has told us makes it hard to understand why this step was warranted at all."
Con't.

- FBI found government-related emails on laptop Abedin shared with disgraced husband Anthony Weiner

- The laptop was seized during a separate investigation involving alleged sexts Weiner sent to a 15-year-old girl

- Abedin said in June 2016 she looked for all devices she may have used to send and receive emails while working for Clinton at State Department

- She gave two laptops, a Blackberry and some paper 'files' from her apartment to her attorneys to review

- Abedin said her attorneys were the ones who determined 'what was federal record' and needed to be turned into the State Department

- FBI is determining if classified information obtained by Abedin could have been accessed on her computer or forwarded on to unprotected accounts

- None of the emails were exchanged directly between Abedin and Clinton

FBI Notes Reveal Security Concerns Over Huma Abedin
[Counterjihad] Protective detail assigned to guard former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and her two residences complained that her closest aide Huma Abedin often overrode standard security protocols during trips to the Middle East, and personally changed procedures for handling classified information, including highly sensitive intelligence briefs the CIA prepared for the president, newly released FBI documents reveal.

The security agents, who were interviewed as witnesses in the FBI's investigation of Clinton's use of an unauthorized private email server to send classified information, complained that Abedin had unusual sway over security policies during Clinton's 2009-2013 tenure at Foggy Bottom.

FBI interview notes indicate that Abedin, a Pakistani-American Muslim whose family has deep ties to Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and the radical Muslim Brotherhood, was granted Top Secret security clearance for the first time in 2009, when Clinton named her deputy chief of staff for operations. Abedin said she "did not remember" being read into any Special Access Programs (SAPs) or compartments.

WIKILEAKS JUST RELEASED FULL ISIS DONOR LIST WITH NAMES
Barack Hussein Obama and Hillary Clinton are the founders of ISIS. We have proven that through emails and documents leaked from WikiLeaks, but liberal media outlets still refuse to cover it.

After all, they are still more focused on what Trump said eleven years ago than what Hillary has actually done.

Because of brave patriots like Julian Assange,
...that's a matter of opinion...
we have been given more evidence that Hillary Clinton is more connected to ISIS than we originally believed.

An email was leaked between Clinton and John Podesta indicating that: "Western intelligence, US intelligence and sources in the region" to accuse Qatar and Saudi Arabia of "providing clandestine financial and logistic support to ISIL [or ISIS] and other radical Sunni groups in the region."

Citing the need to "use our diplomatic and more traditional intelligence assets," said Hillary to Podesta while arguing the current developments in the Middle East were "important to the U.S. for reasons that often differ from country to country."

Odd that Clinton argues Saudi Arabia and Qatar are helping fund ISIS when Hillary's largest donations come from those two countries.

UN official praises UAE decision to host 15,000 Syrian refugees
United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon Sigrid Kaag on Thursday praised the recent decision of the UAE to welcome 15,000 Syrian refugees on its territories over the next five years.
15,000 -- isn't that the monthly quota Champ wants for the U.S.?
The UN Special Coordinator praised the importance of this step, saying "it is a model that should be followed by other countries because it will offer refugees a life in dignity as well as education and job opportunities," a statement from the UAE Embassy in Beirut said.

She underlined that the United Nations was counting on such initiatives due to the growing numbers of refugees worldwide, particularly since "grants and assistance offered by donors are not sufficient to meet all the required needs."

Kaag made the remarks during a meeting with UAE Ambassador to Lebanon Hamad Saeed Al Shamsi where discussions focused on the situation in Lebanon and regional developments.

In the past five years, the UAE provided more than US$750 million in assistance for Syrian refugees and displaced people in neighbouring host countries, including in Lebanon where the Office of Humanitarian and Development Attache Office at the UAE Embassy supports humanitarian projects and provides health, medical and educational aid, Ambassador Al Shamsi noted.
How much of that went to the Widows Ammunition Fund?
The UAE opened a model refugee camp in Al Marj town, Bekaa Valley, which includes a school and a small library, he said.

The UAE already welcomed more than 123,000 Syrian citizens who joined nationals of more than 201 countries, where they all live together, a situation which enhances diversity and provides real and tangible contributions to shared responsibilities towards the crisis of Syrian refugees, the ambassador further noted.

Anti-corruption activist killed in Benghazi
Anti-corruption activist Mohamed Bughaighis was killed today in Benghazi’s Kish district when a vehicle exploded. Contrary to initial reports, he was not in the vehicle was standing next to it. Three others, two Libyans (one of them an airforce officer) and a Bangladeshi, died in the incident and 21 were injured. The wounded were taken to Benghazi Medical Centre.

People at the nearby popular Kish Café say that the car blew up in what appeared to be the result of a bomb. However, according to officials, it was hit by a rocket. They say it is unclear if he was deliberately targeted or the victim of a random rocket attack.

“They are afraid that Benghazi could be returning to the assassinations of two years ago,” one local political analyst suggested.

Before Khalifa Hafter’s Operation Dignity was launched in Benghazi political assassinations seen as carried out by Islamists were a regular event. There have been predications in recent weeks that there could be a resurgence of these as the so-called Islamic State and other Islamist militants are defeated on the ground.

As head of an independent anti-corruption organisation, Mohamed Bughaighis was not without enemies. In June 2014, his house was targeted by militants but he was not at home at the time.

His family have been prominent human rights campaigners. His relative Salwa Bughaighis was assassinated two years ago after voting in elections for the House of Representatives. Her sister, Iman, still campaigns for human rights.

Turkey expects first F-35 delivery in 2018
At last! We've found a way to sabotage the Turk military!
Turkey expects to take delivery of its first Lockheed Martin Corp F-35A fighter jets in 2018 and has decided to order a second batch, the Undersecretariat for Defense Industries said on Oct. 28.

It did not say how many more of the fighter jets it planned to order but two U.S. officials familiar with the matter, speaking on condition of anonymity, told Reuters the second batch would comprise 24 jets.

The Undersecretariat said it expected the new orders to be delivered in 2021 and 2022. Its statement was released after a meeting of its executive committee chaired by Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım.

A Lockheed representative said the company is "honored" by Turkey's continued commitment to the F-35 program which was further demonstrated by the decision by the DIEC on Oct. 29.

Turkey had placed its first orders in 2014 with two jets and has added another four to that in 2015, according to the Undersecretariat for Defense Industries website. It aims to eventually purchase a total of 100, it said.

5 die in small arms attack in Karachi
At least five persons were killed and many others injured after two unidentified miscreants targeted mourners gathered in Nazimabad area in connection with month of Muharram on Saturday.

The death toll is feared to go up as at least two people are critically injured.

The gun attack took place in a residential area near a police station in Nazimabad No 4 area of the city. A Rangers station is located merely half a kilometer from the attack site.

According to police, two gunmen riding a bike entered a street in Nazimabad and attacked a majlis (Shia religious gathering) which was under way in a tent.

Rescue officials confirmed that five people perished in the firing incident. Those killed or injured in the attack were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

Police and Rangers reached the scene, cordoned off the area and launched a probe.
Initial probe suggests that there were four attackers. Two assailants targeted the male participants of the majlis while their accomplices gave them a cover.

According to an eyewitness, two gunmen wearing helmets opened fire on the male section of the majlis at 5:45 and escaped.

Taking notice of the incident, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah made a telephone call to Sindh police chief and asked him to bring the perpetrators of the terrorist attack to justice.

On the other hand, IG police Mushtaq Mehr asked for a report about the attack.

Police say many empty shells of 9mm firearm were recovered from the scene of attack.

According to the police, the participants had not informed the department of a gathering in the area which was why there were no security arrangements.

Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has strongly condemned attack on innocent people in Nazimabad Karachi and directed the concerned authorities at the Federal and provincial levels to hunt down the culprits on immediate basis.

Expressing deep grief and sorrow over the loss of innocent lives during the attack, the Prime Minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed souls and grant of courage to the bereaved families to bear this irreparable loss.

The Prime Minister prayed for swift recovery of those injured during the attack.

This heinous attack will not go unpunished. We will not allow terrorists to disturb peace in Karachi. The perpetrators do not deserve mercy and they will be brought to task sooner, the Prime Minister stated.

In a separate statement, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali condemned the terrorist attack.

1 dead in Kabul kar kaboom
A car bomb attack rocked Kandahar province in southern Afghanistan, leaving at least one dead and three others wounded, including a senior police officer.

According to the local security officials, the suicide bomber targeted the police chief of Police District#9 Haji Farid.

Provincial police spokesman Zia Durani said one policeman lost his life in the attack and three others were wounded but Haji Farid survived the attack unhurt.

But another official speaking on the condition of anonymity said Haji Farid sustained minor injuries in the attack.

The official further added that a Vehicle-borne Improvised Explosive Device (VBIED) was detonated as the vehicle convoy of the police forces was crossing the PD#9 of Kandahar city.

No group including the Taliban insurgents has so far claimed responsibility behind the incident.

The security situation in Kandahar province had improved during the recent months but the militant groups have been attempting to carry out attacks as they continue to destabilize the southern provinces, specifically the southern Helmand province.

At least 3 soldiers lost their lives and around 20 militants were killed after the Taliban insurgents launched a coordinated attack on an army base in Maiwand district earlier this month.

There were no injuries or damage reported, the army said.

IDF troops launched a search of the area in the wake of the attempted attack, according to the army.

Two bullet casings were found close to the site of the gunfire.

Arabia
Houthi missile was launched from mosque in Saada
Jeddah – Houthi leadership is promoting for its news war by firing missiles at Mecca, home to some of Islam’s most sacred sites, and suggesting its victory after it had failed to impose control over Yemeni cities.

Houthis relied in targeting Mecca on their allies; former president Ali Abdallah Saleh and international parties, prominently Iran who is supplying the militias with weapons and long-range missiles.

Houthis tried to attack Mecca by launching a missile which was intercepted and destroyed by the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) before it could do any damage – about 65km from Mecca.

Military experts believe that the long-range ballistic missile was launched from 500km over the border and was intercepted before it reached Mecca.

These missiles are considered old and inaccurate in targeting locations and don’t have any direct effect. Yet, with Iranian experts to support Houthis, they could develop the performance of the missiles and adjust their range and destructing power.

Brigadier General Ahmed Asiri, advisor at the minister of Defense’s office, said nothing proves the lies and deceit of the Houthis more than their attack on the most sacred Islamic site.

Asiri said pointed out that Houthis used Iran’s missile altering techniques, the one which was provided to Lebanese Hezbollah.

Asiri, who is also the Saud-led coalition’s spokesman, told Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper that Houthis’ operations on the Saudi border are not over. He explained that they will continue to try to infiltrate into the kingdom’s territories and launch ballistic missiles, but the RSAF will always be prepared to intercept.

Asiri explained that the missile was launched from a mosque in Saada. He added that Houthis’ slogans are “Death to America! Death to Israel”, meanwhile they target Mecca, Muslims’ holiest land.

He added that when Royal Saudi Forces targeted the location where the missiles were launched, they found it was a mosque.

“These people know no religion and have no morals. They are using mosques, schools, and hospitals for their criminal acts,” he continued.

Asiri reiterated that the coalition will continue to support the legitimacy forces both politically and militarily. He explained that the U.N. and Special Envoy Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed are working on the political part to ensure reaching a settlement in Yemen, while the coalition forces continue to counter the military attacks of Houthis.

A Yemeni source close to the matter said that Houthi leadership has been promoting for Mecca attack and is educating their followers on how to invade the holy site.

According to Deputy Chief of Staff Maj-Gen Naser al-Taheri, Houthis took advantage of the cease-fire to bring more weapons and missiles from Iran.

In September, Yemeni armed forces apprehended different kinds of missiles coming from Tehran, Iran and were intended to be used by militias. The deputy chief praised the important role of the armed forces and the Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia.

Nawaf Al-Faghem, deputy chairman of the security committee at the Consultative Assembly of Saudi Arabia, said that by targeting Mecca, Houthi militias broke all rules and violated all principles.

According to Faghem, this incident only means that Houthis are failing in targeting the security of Saudi Arabia and thus began resorting to such actions.

He added that this confirms they are a terrorist group supported by Iran and axis of evil.

The deputy chairman also commended the Royal Saudi Air Force and explained that this missile is relatively old and can only cause minimal damage at a small area.

Clashes continue for second day in Zawia
Tripoli, 29 October 2016:

Fresh fighting has again fared up in Zawyia following heavy clashes there yesterday in which tanks were deployed. The fighting initally stopped last night when both sides agreed a seven-hour truce. When it ended this morning, a tense calm continued for several hours but was then shattered when shooting restarted this afternoon.

As in so many previous instances in Zawia, the fighting involved the perennial local bitter rivals, the Ahneish and Khadrawi families. However, it is also said to be linked to this week’s killing of three Zawia men, allegedly by a Wirshefana gang,

The clashes started after the Khadrawis accused Ibrahim Ahneish, one of the leaders of his clan, of selling the three men to the Wirshefana, a local journalist told this newpaper.

Armed gunmen from the Saqr tribe, supporting the Khadrawis, then brought in armored vehicles and two tanks to attack locations belonging to Ahneish.

“It was a terrible day. Families were stuck in the areas of the clashes and many houses and cars have been damaged,” the reporter said. “Last night, families were given the chance for few hours to flee the fighting but some are still stuck there,” he added.

At present, there is no information about causalities.

The Ahneish are said to be supported by the town’s militant leader Abu Obeida Al-Zawi as well as its boycotting HoR member Ali Abu Zariba.

Both Preidency Council member Musa Koni and UN special envoy Martin Kobler have expressed their concern about the situation in Zawia. The latter said that political leaders needed to act now to bring about reconciliation in the town. Koni appealed to “reason and a bias for dialogue” to resolve the crisis.

Erdogan expects return of death penalty soon
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Saturday that he believes parliament will pass reinstatement of the death penalty sometime "soon", Anadolu reported.
How convenient...
Addressing a crowd in the capital city, who chanted slogans of "death penalty" for terrorists, Erdogan said:

"No worries, it is [coming] sometime soon. The government will submit it [a bill] to parliament, which I believe will pass it."

About possible reinstatement of the death penalty for those involved in terrorist acts, Erdogan reiterated his stance that the decision would be up to Turkish lawmakers in parliament. He once more said that he would approve reinstating the death penalty if parliament approves.

After the foiled putsch, blamed by the government on the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO), many people in Turkey have called for the death penalty to be reinstated for the putschists.
Sez who?
"We will do what the nation asks," Erdogan stressed.

Prime Minister Binali Yildirim also said the death penalty is a "social request." Speaking to journalists at a reception marking Saturday’s Republic Day, the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Turkey, Yildirim said his Justice and Development (AK) Party could negotiate with opposition parties over the penalty.

Bomb squad investigating home-made fireworks operation at Anaheim senior living facility
Anaheim - Police and fire departments were working with the bomb squad to clear an apartment where the renter was allegedly building homemade fireworks, similar to M80’s, shortly before noon Saturday, police said.

Officers were tipped-off when the renter purchased "a quantity of materials online," said Sgt. Daron Wyatt. "He showed his materials to authorities and they determined that the situation was unstable."

The apartment is located at a senior living community in the 200 block of N. Dale Avenue. Northbound Dale Avenue was closed to through traffic as the bomb squad worked to defuse and dispose the materials, Wyatt said. Some of the surrounding apartments were evacuated to another part of the complex as a precaution. There was no explosion.

Bomb techs were carting boxes of supplies out of the building around 2 p.m. Many residents said they unaware that anything was amiss and wondered what all of the commotion was about.

A one-legged man was wheeled out of the building handcuffed to a gurney and was loaded into an ambulance around 2:30 p.m.

Gene Panter, who lives at the facility, sat in his wheelchair and watched in disbelief. "I know him," Panter said, as the man on the gurney was taken from the building. "I see him every day."

"I heard he was making fireworks ... but I never thought that would happen," Panter said.

Afghanistan
Qadir Warns Of Rising Daesh Activity In Nangarhar
The deputy speaker of the Wolesi Jirga, Zahir Qadir, on Saturday warned against what he called an increase in Daesh activities in Nangarhar province and said the group will establish a Khorasan caliphate if they seize the Tora Bora area.

"They [Daesh] have taken control of a very sensitive and strategic area. They have decided to enter Tora Bora and if they enter Tora Bora, they will build a Khorasan caliphate," Qadir said.

Washington also warned that Daesh after being suppressed in Iraq and Syria is trying to find its footprint in other areas where there is little government control.

"As it is chocked off in places like Iraq and Syria, that it is trying to as I said create affiliates or to establish itself in other ungoverned spaces and as much as we see that, (we) will take action to take out senior leadership of these groups," said U.S State Department spokesman Mark Toner.

Meanwhile, Defense Ministry spokesman Dawlat Waziri said: "The air and ground operations and commando operations are ongoing against Daesh in Nangarhar. We are chasing Daesh every day and will eliminate them wherever they appear."

A number of analysts said Daesh should be suppressed heavily in the country.

"If Daesh is not suppressed heavily in Nangarhar, the order will be disrupted all over Afghanistan, security will disappear and people will sacrifice heavily," said former military official Atiqullah Amarkhail.

Make America Boom Again: How to Bring Back Supersonic Transport
An aircraft flying roughly twice the speed of sound could take off in New York City and land in Los Angeles in just two hours. The technology to travel at this speed exists, but in 1973 the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) issued a complete ban on civil supersonic aviation over all US land and territorial waters, a ban that remains in effect to this day.

The issue is noise. As an airplane reaches the speed of sound (Mach 1 or 660 mph at high altitude, air waves produced at the plane's nose are compressed, generating a shock wave that is known as a sonic boom because of the explosive noise it creates in the planes wake.

The Concorde, the supersonic passenger jet developed in the 1960s by the United Kingdom and France, for example, produced a sonic boom as loud as 135 decibels when it reached land, comparable to the noise level 100 feet from a jet engine. Many decades have passed since the Concorde's milestone transatlantic flight in 1969.

A new generation of supersonic plane designs takes advantage of 50 years of advances in materials science, aerospace engineering, and computer simulation techniques to substantially reduce the loudness of the sonic boom.

In 2012, for example, a team of NASA-funded researchers reported results from wind tunnel tests in which scale model aircraft produced sonic booms perceived to be as quiet as 79 decibels, similar to the noise created by a car passing 10 feet away.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Syrian rebels launch new offensive in Aleppo
Beirut- Syrian opposition factions launched a wide-scale offensive to free Aleppo’s eastern neighborhood and lift the regime-imposed siege. The rebel-launched operation is being called “Aleppo’s Epic Battle,” with an arsenal of missiles and projectiles targeting regime-controlled areas.

Rebels took over the regime-held suburbs making a dashing advance whilst aiming to take down project 3000 located in the city’s western vicinity. Fighting extends at a 15 km long front at Aleppo’s west, rebel sources said.

Ammar Sakkar, military spokesperson for Fastaqim Union rebel group in Aleppo, said hundreds of fighters were taking part in the offensive.

“All the revolutionary factions, without exception, are participating in the battle,” he told the Associated Press.

An estimated 300,000 people are under regime siege in eastern Aleppo, where residents report declining or damaged supplies of necessities including food, water, electricity and medicine.

Regime forces, backed by their Russian allies, have stepped up attacks in Aleppo in recent weeks in an attempt to retake the rebel-held area.

Rebels broke the siege on eastern Aleppo in early August, opening up a new route into the city from the south.

Later, regime forces re-imposed the blockade.

Aleppo has been a focus of the Syrian war since regime forces besieged it in July, part of an early push to reclaim a major city that has been partly controlled by rebels since 2012. The rebel-held eastern side has since been heavily bombarded, with help from Russian forces, killing hundreds of civilians and drawing harsh international condemnation.

Elsewhere, rebels fired dozens of rockets into the outskirts of Qardaha, the home town of Syrian regime head Bashar al-Assad in the north-west of the war-devastated country, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.

Rebels also shelled areas near the Hmeimim air base in Syria’s coastal province of Latakia, which is a launchpad for Russian airstrikes against rebels, the Observatory added.

Russia began an air campaign in Syria in 2015 to help Assad’s authoritarian regime.

10 bodies bearing signs of torture found in Benghazi
[AlArabiya]. The bodies of 10 men who appear to have been tortured and shot dead have been found in a suburb of Libya’s the eastern city of Benghazi, a security official said.

The bodies were found overnight between Thursday and Friday in Benghazi’s Shabna district, said Milad al-Zwai, a spokesman for Benghazi’s special forces.

For the past two years Benghazi has been the site of a military campaign led by eastern commander Khalifa Haftar against Islamists and other opponents.

After long struggling to make progress, Haftar’s forces seized several key neighborhoods earlier this year, though they still have not brought the city under full control.

It was not clear who was responsible for the killings. Only five of the bodies found in Shabna had been identified, but Zwai did not give details.

The area is under the control of Haftar’s forces.

In July, 14 bodies with gunshot wounds to the head were found in another Benghazi neighborhood, Laithi, which had been the scene of fierce fighting before Haftar’s forces took control of it several months earlier.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Dozens die as Syrian Army convoy is hit
Aleppo – Islamist rebel groups targeted on Saturday a Syrian army convoy near the city of Aleppo, killing and wounding dozens of soldiers. Fighters of Ahrar al-Sham and Jabhat Fateh al-Sham (JFS) hit a convoy for the Syrian regime’s army forces with mortar shells and heavy machine guns.

“The attack took place on the Khanasir-Ithria road. The convoy, which was coming from Hama city to Aleppo, consisted of at least 6 army vehicles loaded with weapons beside carrying dozens of soldiers,” media activist Abduljabbar al-Hamwi told ARA News.

The rebels’ bombardment led to the destruction of four vehicles, while two others were confiscated. At least 24 Syrian army soldiers were killed and ten others were taken hostage by the JFS and Ahrar al-Sham.

“None of the convoy’s vehicles was able to make it to Aleppo. Our operation was successful, and we won’t allow any more military reinforcements to reach the pro-Assad forces in Aleppo,” Anass al-Omar, a spokesman for Ahrar al-Sham, told ARA News.

“Despite all the Russian and Iranian support, Assad won’t be able to win in Aleppo,” al-Omar said.

Breaking Siege of Eastern Aleppo

On Friday, Syrian Islamist rebels, led by the Army of Conquest, launched an offensive to break the siege on eastern Aleppo. Jabhat Fateh al-Sham (JFS), an al-Qaeda splinter group, initiated the campaign by attacking several regime-held districts in western Aleppo.

Abu Saeed al-Halabi, a Dutch member of JFS, told ARA News that the new offensive aims to “free the thousands of Muslims besieged in the eastern part of Aleppo.”

Al-Halabi credited the Army of Conquest, also known as Jaish al-Fatah, with laying the groundwork for the offensive, marshaling Syria’s often disparate Islamists. “[They,] JFS and other factions prepared this assault in great detail and synchronized their forces in an unprecedented manner,” he told ARA News.

Al-Halabi added that Jabhat Fateh al-Sham would commit the bulk of its jihadists to this one operation “[We] will commit most of our resources and inghimasi [suicide] fighters,” he said.

“Both [Sunni] mujahidin and Shia militias have gathered thousands of their fighters for a battle which could decide the outcome of this conflict,” al-Halabi stated. “[Our triumph] will likely secure the remaining part of Aleppo city from Shia forces. This will bury the myth of a political solution in Syria.”

Speaking for his fellow Jihadists, al-Halabi, said that all of the recent battles in Syria, Iraq and Yemen were linked. “These battles should be seen in the light of the US-Russian-Iranian alliance’s plan to strip the Sunnis from power in the Middle East,” he said.

Jabhat al-Nusra announced in July that it had broken its ties to al-Qaeda and that it had changed its name to Jabhat Fateh al-Sham. However, Russia and the US view these changes as cosmetic and have continued to target the group.

According to al-Halabi, the Aleppo offensive has great importance “as it could tip Syria’s power balance.” The JFS member declared that “this could be the mother of all battles.”

Teacher gunned down in southern Thailand
[Bangkok Post] A teacher was killed and another injured by motorcycle gunmen on Friday while on their way to an event to assist people mourning for the late King of Thailand. Two militants on a motorcycle followed their car as they left their office in Pattani province.

The two women were going to help dye clothing black for mourners of the king at a function organised nearby. They had driven only 50 meters when the motorcycle drew alongside and the pillion rider fired at least six shots at them. The two killers then sped off on their motorcycle.

The car's driver was killed. The passenger was injured and was rushed to the hospital.

Footage from a security camera in the area showed the two attackers on a motorcycle. The police said a check on the motorcycle revealed it was reported stolen in Muang district on July 23.

Syrian Air Force warbirds hammer rebel positions in Aleppo
[AlArabiya]. Syrian opposition activists are reporting airstrikes and fighting on the edge of the contested northern city of Aleppo.

Saturday’s fighting comes a day after Syrian rebels launched a broad offensive aiming to break a weeks-long government siege on the eastern rebel-held neighborhoods of Syria's largest city.

The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said warplanes are pounding areas that insurgents captured the day before, mostly on Aleppo's western and southern edges.

The Aleppo Media Center, an activist collective, reported airstrikes and artillery shelling of areas near Aleppo.

Syrian state media said rebels shelled government-held western neighborhoods of Aleppo on Saturday morning wounding at least six people, including a young girl.

New York’s Met Opera evacuates over sprinkled substance
Moved to Page 3: Non-WoT at 10:50 a.m. ET, thanks to Anguper Hupomosing9418's update from the New York Times: it was human ashes, not something noxious. But the immediate concern about danger is a mark of the current zeitgeist.
[IsraelTimes]. White powder reportedly dropped on orchestra pit during performance by unidentified audience member

NEW YORK ‐ New York’s Metropolitan Opera was evacuated mid-performance on Saturday after an audience member sprinkled a mysterious powder onto the orchestra.

The leading US opera company was in the intermission of a matinee of "Guillaume Tell" when the suspect approached the orchestra pit and dropped the substance, the Met said.

The Met informed patrons that the performance was finished as New York anti-terrorism police headed into the ornate hall in Lincoln Center.

No arrests were immediately made and there were no reports of injuries. The nature of the powder, reported on social media to be white in color, was not clear.

An audience member, Dylan Hayden, posted pictures of emergency personnel on Twitter and said that seven police vehicles rushed to the scene with a stretcher briefly taken into the hall as a precaution.

The Met said it had also canceled the evening performance of "L’Italiana in Algeri" while authorities investigate.

New York’s prominent institutions are constantly on guard for potential threats in light of the September 11, 2001 attacks on the city and more recently a bombing in the Chelsea neighborhood.

Lincoln Center systematically checks audience members for weapons or other dangerous items.

Two suicide bombers kill at least 5 in northeast Nigeria's Maiduguri
[Ynet] Two jacket wallahs killed at least five people on Saturday in the northeastern Nigerian city of Maiduguri, the heart of a seven-year-old insurgency by Islamist Boko Haram
... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality...
bully boys, a military source and residents said.

The first attack occurred at 0600 GMT in front of a camp for displaced persons in the Bakasi area and minutes later a second bomb went off at a bus stop, eyewitness said.

Residents saw bodies being carried into an ambulance by government emergence services.
The Daily Mail adds that 24 were injured as the two suicide bomberettes separately failed to gain access to the 16,000-person refugee camp before blowing themselves up outside it.

UN gets release of 876 children detained by Nigeria military

[Ynet] The United Nations
...an idea whose time has gone...
has negotiated the release this year of 876 children detained at a Nigerian army barracks holding suspected collaborators of the Boko Haram Islamic murderous Moslem group, the UN Children's Fund announced Friday.

The agency fears hundreds more children are still being held at the barracks in the northeastern city of Maiduguri, the UNICEF spokeswoman for Nigeria, Doune Porter, told The News Agency that Dare Not be Named.
One most sincerely hopes the suicide bombers in the first story did not come from the group the UN just had released.

Roadside Bomb Kills 2 Soldiers, Injuries 4 Others in Sinai
[AnNahar] Egyptian security officials say a roadside kaboom killed two soldiers and maimed four others in the restive northeastern region of the Sinai Peninsula.

The officials say the bomb struck an armored vehicle carrying soldiers to Sheikh Zuwaid near the city of el-Arish city on Saturday. The four soldiers, they said, are in a critical condition and the corpse count could rise.

The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to the press.
...which explains why Al Ahram does not have the story yet.

#1  Sadly, virtually 100% of those who are either directly publicly funded or are rent-seekers in industries that exist primarily due to government regulation don't care and never will.

They are not voting for someone for president who will do the VERY few things government must do and do them well. They are voting for a mercenary who will defend their magic checks without regard to whether or not that will destroy America eventually. In essence, they have come to value their rice bowl more than the businesses, liberties, and lives of their private sector neighbors.

I've been saying here for two years that you cannot scandal Hillary Clinton enough that a public employee or a welfare recipient or a lawyer who works at a lobbying firm in Alexandria or an OSHA consultant or a mid-level executive at Goldman Sachs or an NPR addict will vote for someone else. Hillary Clinton could set fire to ten third graders on national TV every morning from now until the election and such as those would still vote for her.

Iraq
Iraqi forces pausing Mosul advance
Iraqi and Peshmerga forces are pausing the advance on Mosul to ensure rear areas are cleared of Islamic State fighters, but the US-led coalition will continue to conduct airstrikes against the militants, Operation Inherent Resolve spokesperson Col. John Dorrian said in a briefing on Friday, Sputnik International reported.

US-coalition forces have continued to conduct airstrikes against ISIS tunnels and other targets, as Iraqi forces remain about six to 12 miles from the city of Mosul, the spokesman added.

"They’ve seen some tactics, techniques and procedures by ISIS that have led them to believe it’s in their interest to pause the advance in some areas to do some back-clearing and make sure their flanks and their rear are clear of ISIS," Dorrian told reporters.

Dorrian said the move was not unexpected and did not represent a shift in the operation strategy. "After a couple days of refit, resupply, repositioning, I think they’ll be moving forward again," he stated.

Arabia
Houthis have lobbyists at the UN
[Al Arabiya]. Al Arabiya News Channel aired on Saturday a documentary showing how the Iran-backed Houthi militia group has a lobbyist network inside the United Nations.

Some of the NGOs and individuals, who were not Yemeni or Yemen-based, are also seen as pro-Iran.

Here names of some of the preeminent players:
- Ambassador Abdul Illah Hajar, a member of the Houthi delegation, who participated in Yemen’s peace talks. At the peace talks, Hajar introduced himself as a representative of the Yemeni Foreign Ministry branch dealing with International Organizational Affairs.

- Ahmed al-Shami, Executive Director of Arabia Human Right Watch Association (ARWA).

- Mohammed al-Wazir, ARWA’s founder and director of its legal affairs.

- Yousra al-Harazy, who lives in Geneva. She is in charge of organizing ARWA’s motions, and participates in the United Nations Human Rights Council sessions.

On April 28, ARWA submitted a complaint to the International Criminal Court (ICC) on behalf of 34 Yemeni NGOs, accusing the Arab Coalition of committing war crimes and genocide. ARWA claimed compensation worth billions of dollars.

- The Houthis lobby also comprises the SABA organization in Yemen, headed by journalist Ahmed al-Muaid.

- NGOs from other countries

The list include NGOs in other countries such as the Iraqi Development Organization, the Sunni Scholars Association in southern Iraq headed by Sheikh Khaled al-Mullah, in addition to the Lebanon-based al-Khiam Rehabilitation Center (KRC) for Victims of Torture, which was founded in June 1999, and granted advisory membership of the United Nations Economic and Social Council in 2010.

Despite KRC’s presentation of itself as an NGO, its Secretary General Mohamed Safa stated back in 2008 that the center was indeed a partner in the Lebanese Shiite movement Hezbollah’s victory in the south of the country.

In February 2016, KRC announced embracing the case of opposition Sheikh Ali Salman, leader of al-Wefaq National Islamic Society in Bahrain.

Houthi maneuver
The documentary shows how the Houthis were blamed by Kate Gilmore, the Deputy Commissioner for Human Rights of the United Nations, on Sept. 27 for the siege imposed on the city of Taiz, blocking food, water and creating fuel shortages.

The Houthis, simultaneously, held a conference on the sidelines, while Gilmore was presenting her findings, to diffuse and deflect attention.

They spent their time discussing human rights conditions in the countries participating in the Arab Coalition, accusing them of collaborating with Al-Qaeda in Yemen.

The Houthis were also able to garner support from similar pressure groups in Europe and the United States.

The Grand Turk
US Consulate workers to leave Turkey
The State Department is ordering family members of employees posted to the U.S. Consulate General in Istanbul to leave because of security concerns.

In a statement issued Saturday, the State Department says the decision is based on security information indicating extremist groups are continuing aggressive efforts to attack U.S. citizens in areas of Istanbul where they reside or frequent.

The Consulate General remains open and fully staffed. The order applies only to the U.S. Consulate General in Istanbul, not to other U.S. diplomatic posts in Turkey.

The travel warning issued Saturday updates a warning last week of increased threats from terrorist groups throughout Turkey. U.S. citizens were advised to avoid travel to southeast Turkey and carefully consider the risks of travel to and throughout the country.

I haven't seen anything about a drawdown of actual military units. US mil dependents were removed back in March but not sure if they returned. Kinda doubt the dependents have returned given the coup and now this from DoS.

Prosecutors: 2 US men tried to export military parts to Iran
[Ynet] Federal prosecutors charged two Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, men with conspiring to smuggle fighter-jet parts to Iran in a scheme they allege dates to 2009.
The mills of justice are grinding particularly slowly in this case.
The US attorney's office in Los Angeles said in a statement Friday that the pair worked with two Iranian nationals to break laws that restrict exports to the longtime U.S. adversary.

A nine-count federal indictment unsealed Wednesday alleged that Zavik Zargarian of Glendale tried to help one of the Iranians purchase more than $3 million worth of parts for fighter jets, including F-15s and F-18s. Their would-be supplier was an undercover federal agent.
Iran has neither fighter, so far as we know. Are these parts that would work in an F-14?
Prosecutors also say Vache Nayirian of Los Angeles exported more than 7,000 fluorocarbon rubber O-rings, which could have military uses, including for aircraft landing gear. To evade detection, the shipments went to other destinations in the Persian Gulf before being routed to Iran, where the national air force received them, prosecutors said.

Both defendants have been assigned court-appointed attorneys and pleaded not guilty
"Wudn't me."
Wednesday. The attorney representing Nayirian questioned the strength of the government's case, given that it began seven years ago and a grand jury produced the indictment in 2014.

"Any time you have this huge delay, you wonder what's the reason," attorney Michael Shannon said.
