Democratic presidential hopeful Robert "Beto" O'Rourke was just named the prestigious Armalite AR-15 salesman of the year, an honor that will certainly go far for the candidate's campaign.
"We are pleased to be named by Armalite as the top salesman of the year," O'Rourke's Campaign Director Billy Kidd said. "We believe that this will go far with our voters as a serious endorsement.
The honor was conveyed after O'Rourke prompted hundreds of thousands of firearms sales after claiming, "Hell yes, we're going to take your AR-15s and AK-47s," in the latest Democratic circus debate.
Delaware Democratic Sen. Chris Coons, who has endorsed former Vice President Joe Biden, told CNN on Friday that he thinks the plan plays into the talking point from Republicans that "Democrats are coming for your guns" and said that he thinks the proposal isn't "wise."
Kidd responded by saying, "Well we just got a major endorsement from a major American gun manufacturer, so there!" Genesius Times is a sarcastic news site.

Today, we were notified by the US Air Force that there is a 5.6% chance that Genesis II will collide with dead Russian satellite Cosmos 1300 in 15 hours. Although this is a relatively low probability, it brings to light that low Earth orbit is becoming increasingly more littered. pic.twitter.com/l6McbDgRNo
[HotAir] President Donald Trump will not consider the House-passed universal background checks bill as part of his proposed gun package, according to a source familiar with the conversation on guns.
Trump’s position on the House-passed bill is not exactly a surprise. The White House issued a veto threat against the bill in February.

The bed wetter on some of the gun blogs had Trump total capitulating on this. Guess they'll have to go back to arguing about Glocks for a couple days. Morons.

[Genesius Times - Fake News, Herb] The Democratic National Committee has sued the sovereign country of Iran over the right to use "Death to America" as their 2020 Presidential campaign slogan.
The lawsuit, which includes the right to use "America is the great Satan (even though we don't believe in God)" as well, will be the first lawsuit to capitulate at the outset and just give the world's #1 state sponsor of terror a flat fee of $4 billion in cash.
"We believe that we have the right to use this slogan in our materials as we Democrats have been trying to kill America much longer than Iran has," DNC Chair Franz Finklebottom said.
The lawsuit was presented shortly after many prominent Democrats criticized President Trump for not bombing the hell out of the country after the Iran military allegedly downed a drone.
"We think that this slogan will play well across the country but especially in middle America and Portland," Finklebottom added.
The Democratic primary race is heating up with a large pile of crap leading the polls.

Top Diaper Head Talks Tough
[NY Post] Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Tuesday ruled out talks "at any level" with the US amid rising tensions after a strike on Saudi oil facilities, apparently quashing speculation that President Trump would meet with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani at the United Nations next week.
"Iranian officials, at any level, will never talk to American officials … this is part of their policy to put pressure on Iran … their policy of maximum pressure will fail," state media quoted Khamenei as saying, adding that "All officials in Iran unanimously believe it."
He said the US is trying to prove that its "maximum pressure" campaign against the Islamic Republic is working, but "in return, we have to prove that the policy is not worth a penny for the Iranian nation."
Despite the stubborn rhetoric, Khamenei left open the possibility of broader talks between the US and the world powers still participating in the 2015 nuclear deal.

Not even "Don't shoot! Don't shoot! We surrender."
[NY Post] An Italian soldier was stabbed in the neck Tuesday by an attacker brandishing a pair of scissors in front of Milan's central train station – and later shouting "Alahu Akbar," according to a report. "We'll probably never know his motivation"
The man fled from the scene after the unprovoked attack shortly after 10:45 a.m. in Piazza Duca d'Aosta and ran toward Via Vittor Pisani but was stopped by paramilitary Carabinieri police officers, according to Milano Today.
He apparently shouted "Allahu Akbar!" ‐ Arabic for "God is great!" – as he was being arrested, the news outlet reported.
An investigation was launched to determine if the attack was terrorism-related.
The 34-year-old soldier was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the report.

It's not a STEM program; it's sociologists doing "critical studies" of STEM:
"The Program in Science and Technology Studies (STS) aims to provide students with an interdisciplinary framework through which to appreciate the complex interactions between science, technology and society, and with to analyze and understand the ways science and technology give shape to, and are in turn given shape by, society, culture and history,”

That's exactly how it is played according to what I gathered. Black man is 'majority owner' so business gets consideration or whatnot, but second/third tier is professional construction whites & hispanics.
Not saying black guy is without talent, just saying when the bids go out, these guys put 'minority owned business' on the bid.

One of my black colleagues when I worked at the big company, lo these many years ago, a recent engineering graduate from a good school, was deeply frustrated about the impact of affirmative action on his career. He was a handsome and personable young man, as well as clearly competent, but said that on first meeting everyone, including his fellow African-Americans, assumed he must have been hired only for the colour of his skin instead of his ability. He had no trouble proving that assumption wrong, but he found the whole situation frustrating.

Aff action is way past its shelf life. It was never meant to be other than a temporary boost to try to level the playing field for one, or at most two, generations of afr-americans who had directly experienced institutional discrimination as members of an entire group. It has zero relevance to the current social or legal situation in this country.
At this point, it is nothing more than a shakedown for a group of grifter activists and an admissions scam that's primarily exploited by upper middle-class biracial professional households of the sort that produced shitty, mendacious political opportunists such as Booker, Harris, Obama et al. and shitty, mendacious lowlifes such as Jussie Smollett and the Screaming Yale Brat, Jeralyn Luther.

[AmericanThinker] I don't think I'm alone when I say it's frustrating having the same conversation over and over and over again. I'm frustrated trying to explain the difference between a semi-automatic and a "military-style assault" weapon, parrying asinine retorts of how our Founding Fathers "only had muskets," and being told by strangers what weapons I "don't need." I'm frustrated with citing statistical evidence showing that the vast majority of gun violence in America is the result of suicides and of criminals who have obtained their guns illegally. I'm frustrated with trying to justify my personal choices to people who are completely ignorant about guns and who are completely unwilling to learn.
I'm frustrated because it's an exercise in futility. They return the very next day to push their very same debunked talking points that I've spent the last conversation refuting. Deploying factual evidence works only when dealing with people for whom factual evidence is valued, acknowledged, and conceded. When they simply ignore it and continue to talk over you, there is no benefit in trying to make them see reason. It is like talking to a brick wall.
If reducing gun violence were an honest aim of the Left, leftists would follow the evidence where it leads. But leftists oppose gun ownership not out of any heartfelt reaction to mass shootings (though they routinely go through the necessary public genuflections). They don't care about dead students, dead Walmart shoppers, dead worshipers, dead police, or dead black Americans. They don't care about getting help for the mentally ill. They care about the consolidation of political power into a centralized totalitarian entity, which they arrogantly assume they possess the competence to administer.

Local cops really want to go home at night (and don't want to sprint and duck between the car and the door). They have families among the population. There is a reason other countries have barracks and compounds for their police. One Concord bridge incident and those guys are out.
The National Guard is composed of the people you are trying to take the guns from.
The 'regulars' are rather committed to actions around the world and on the borders, meanwhile most of their families are housed and live among the communities, largely composed of former and retired members who actually believe the text of the Constitution. You may convince the 'careerists' at the top of the chain to do your bidding, but you'll quickly find out the middle and lower grades probably disagree.
While you are hunting for AK-47s and AR-15s, a lot of 'hunting rifles' will be busy on open season for pols.
There are not enough thugs available to protect you except those already involved in various job and occupational employment on that line. You'll find out quickly they're smart enough to figure out that maybe they should be in charge and not you when it comes to giving orders.

According to the Richmond Times-Dispatch, Spanberger and her Washington press secretary followed Heyworth's Twitter posts. The huge irony is the left would have to hope for foreign intervention on their side in a real civil war. Who's going to do that? Russia and China have the motives but no way would they directly intervene. No way the Pentagon could allow that. So who steps up for the left in such a scenario? Mexico? Canada? The EU? Incidentally, Freshman Democrat Abigail Spanberger rode the "moderate" train in 2018 to oust conservative Republican Dave Brat in Virginia's 7th District.
In every pre-election interview and town hall, Spanberger touted her CIA background as a unique qualification in matters of national security. She promised to engage in civil discourse in her dealings with Republican members of Congress. She stayed far away from the "A" (abortion) word, sanctuary cities, and illegal immigration, couching her responses in the usual political double talk. The strategy worked, and it was due largely to one of her earliest supporters and trusted aides.

Red states and counties have the food and the guns. Even if folks continue fighting for decades 99% of any conflict will be over very quickly without a lot of gunplay.
My only problem is that hard lessons aren't really learned in that sort of scenario and so the problem will re-appear again and again.
[Jpost] Eastern Libyan forces on Monday mounted air strikes on a military position in the city of Sirte held by the internationally recognized government, an official told Rooters.
The Tripoli ...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn... -based government said on its Facebook page that drones had carried out strikes against the positions of a force allied to it.
is admissible relating to his command decisions during the 2014 Gazoo ...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... War.
Israeli soldiers and commanders may also be on the hot seat at The Hague before the International Criminal Court, but Tuesday’s hearing, which also happens to be Election Day, is a local Dutch court proceeding that is unrelated to that.
In fact, the ICC preliminary probe of Israel’s conduct of the 2014 war is moving slowly and is not expected to come to any conclusion earlier than December, with real progress possibly even farther off.
A statement about the case from the Paleostine Justice Campaign said that the case relates to Ismail Ziada and is against Gantz and former IDF Air Force Chief Maj. Gen. (res.) Amir Eshel for allegedly killing six members of Ziada’s family.
Ziada is claiming that the IDF prosecution uses discriminatory practices against Paleostinians which prevent him from receiving justice in Israel.
According to the principle of universal jurisdiction, some countries, especially in Europe ...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum... , allow prosecution of foreign officials for war crimes if the local state refuses to prosecute. universal jurisdiction should be applied to the EUniks and pols
All prior attempts at using universal jurisdiction against Israeli officials - sometimes described as "lawfare" - have failed with European courts finding that they did not have jurisdiction for a variety of reasons, though some Israeli victories came only at the appeals level or from executive branch intervention.
According to reports, the IDF declined to prosecute anyone in the Ziada case because the civilians who were killed were legal collateral damage in a strike of a Hamas, the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood, war room in which multiple Hamas members were also killed.
The IDF’s general position is that it tried hard to limit civilian casualties by warning civilians to leave conflict areas, but that if Hamas embeds itself within civilian locations, the Hamas act of embedding makes those locations liable to attack - assuming the rules of proportionality are also met.
"The IDF is the most moral army in the world and I am proud to have served in it for almost 40 years and to have commanded it. As prime minister, I will continue to give my full support to the IDF in all arenas," Gantz said in response to the case.

Nope Mercutio, Gantz and his party (ultra-left masquerading as center) is the great rainbow (can't be white) hope of Muzzies, EUros and the rest of shon'ei (haters of) Israel
if Hamas embeds itself within civilian locations, the Hamas act of embedding makes those locations liable to attack - assuming the rules of proportionality are also met.
This was the clear reading of all the international treaties defining the conduct of warfare until the Soviets and their useful idiots supported terrorist movements around the world.

[Jpost] Shia militias have been attacked in the al-Bukamal region on the Iraq-Syria border, Arab media sources reported on Tuesday.
According to the report, an Iraqi officer "heard a drone in the air" before the strike.
Israeli sources reported that the attack was targeting Iran-affiliated militias that were smuggling arms into the area. So, a Cultural Exchange
Iraqi channel al-Afaq claimed that Israel was behind the attack.
Some Syrian and Iraqi outlets said Israel was suspected of being behind the strikes, which targeted positions controlled by Shiite militias in the Boukamal region of Syria. There were no such public allegations by Syrian or Iraqi officials.
According to the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, at least 10 pro-Iranian fighters were killed in the early morning airstrike by unmanned aerial vehicles, which reportedly targeted a training camp and ammunition storehouse.
The Israeli military has been accused of conducting air raids on Iran-backed militias in the Boukamal region in the past, including earlier this month in a series of airstrikes in which at least 18 militiamen were reportedly killed.
The Tuesday blasts reportedly targeted a base belonging to the Popular Mobilization Force, an umbrella group of largely Iran-backed militias.
The Observatory and activist collective Deir Ezzor 24 said the strikes occurred near a newly constructed, but not yet operational Syrian border crossing with Iraq. The opening of the crossing, planned by Iraq and Syria, had been postponed several times in recent weeks.
[IsraelTimes] Closure will be in effect from midnight Tuesday to midnight Wednesday, except for humanitarian-related cases, as is customary for holidays.
The military said the closure would begin at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday and last for 24 hours, pending a situational assessment.
Election day is a paid vacation day for workers in Israel. Most polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 10 p.m.
The closure will affect the tens of thousands of Paleostinians who legally work in Israel every day, most of them in construction and maintenance.
Israeli citizens will still be permitted to move between the West Bank and Israel.
[IsraelTimes] The leader of the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... group has released a new alleged audio recording calling on members of the holy warrior group to do all they can to free IS detainees and women held in jails and camps.
The purported audio by Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is his first public statement since April, when the shadowy leader appeared in a video for the first time in five years.
In the 30-minute recording released today by a media arm of the group, al-Baghdadi asks: "How can a Moslem enjoy life?" when Moslem women are held in camps that he called "prisons of humiliation run by Crusaders and their Shiite followers."
Islamic State's media network on Monday published an audio message purporting to come from its leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi warning that "daily operations" were underway.
"Daily operations are underway on different fronts," he said in the tape published by the Al Furqan network, in what would be his first message since April. He cited several regions such as Mali and the Levant but gave no specific timings.
[AnNahar] Italian police arrested three people Monday accused of kidnapping, torturing and trafficking migrants colonists hoping to set sail from Libya to Europe ...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum... A 27-year old man from Guinea and two Egyptians, aged 24 and 26, were taken into custody in a detention centre in Messina in Sicily after police gathered testimony against them from other migrants colonists.
The witnesses said the three had run a prisoners' camp in Zawyia in Libya, where those ready to attempt the perilous Mediterranean crossing were forcibly held until they could pay a ransom.
Those interviewed said they had been tortured and beaten and had seen other prisoners die, police said.
Libya, despite being wracked by chaos and conflict since the 2011 uprising that killed the dictator Moamer Qadaffy, has remained a major transit route for migrants colonists, especially from sub-Saharan Africa. Thanks, Oblahblah and Hildabeast!
According to figures from the International Organization for Migration in July, at least 5,200 people are currently trapped in official detention centres in Libya, often in appalling conditions.
There are no figures for the number of people held in illegal centres run by human traffickers, who brutally torture them to try to extort money from their families.

[IsraelTimes] According to Iranian officials quoted by Fars, the vessel seized by the Islamic Theocratic Republic today in the Strait of Hormuz was Emirati-flagged.

The name of the ship is not immediately available.
[AnNahar] Russia has placed S-400 missile defence systems at the Novaya Zemlya archipelago as Moscow seeks to increase its military presence in the Arctic, the defence ministry said on Monday.
The surface to air-missile regiment of the Northern Fleet's air defence forces based on the archipelago's southern Yuzhny Island has been fully equipped with new S-400 systems, the fleet said.
The regiment was earlier equipped with S-300 systems, a previous version of the missile.
The S-400 is one of the most advanced missile defence systems in the world and can hit enemy targets at up to 400 kilometres.
Over the past few years Russia has significantly upgraded its military infrastructure in the Arctic.
In addition to the Novaya Zemlya forces, the country has stationed troops in the Franz Josef Land, the New Siberian Islands and several other places.
Russia has increasingly asserted itself as an Arctic nation, proclaiming the region as a top priority due to its mineral riches and strategic importance.
[AlAhram] Two political outsiders appear to have stunned Tunisia's political establishment, claiming victory after Sunday's first round of a presidential election.
With formal results yet to be announced, conservative law professor Kais Saied and detained media magnate Nabil Karoui cited exit polls late on Sunday to say they had advanced to a deciding run-off that will be held next month.
If confirmed by official results later on Monday or on Tuesday, it would represent a strong rejection of successive governments that have struggled to improve living standards or end corruption.
Saied described the exit poll results, which showed him with most votes, as "like a new revolution" in a radio interview, a reference to Tunisia's 2011 uprising that brought in democracy and set off the Arab Spring revolts elsewhere.
Tunisia's prime minister, two former prime ministers, the defence minister and a former president were among the political heavyweights competing, as was a candidate of the moderate Islamist Ennahda party. "Moderate" and "Islamist" usually coincide only til they take power
"We received the message sent by the Tunisian people," Prime Minister Youssef Chahed said late on Sunday, conceding defeat.
Banned before the revolution and once seen as the main anti-establishment force in Tunisia, Ennahda has been a big player in successive coalition governments caught between the public desire for more spending and a need to reduce debt.
With a low turnout of 45% - down from 63% in 2014 - the result underscored widespread frustration over the sluggish economy, high unemployment, poor public services and persistent corruption.
Karoui, in a message read by his wife after the exit polls were published, said it was a message to a political elite that he accuses of using the judicial process to try to silence him.
He was detained weeks before the election over allegations of tax evasion and money laundering made three years ago by a transparency watchdog.
"You punished those who tried to steal the votes by putting me in prison without trial, and who prevented me from speaking to people in the campaign," his message said.

Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... and there is also speculation the assault may have been launched from Iraq.
Baghdad on Sunday denied any link to attacks on Saudi oil plants, saying it is "constitutionally committed to preventing any use of its soil to attack its neighbours".
But Iraq is home to several Iran-backed militias and paramilitary factions, putting it in an awkward situation amid rising tensions between its two main sponsors, Tehran and Washington.
Media reports speculated that a drone travelling south from Iraq to the eastern oilfields of Soddy Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face... could have travelled over the sea or through Kuwait's airspace.
Kuwait's Alrai newspaper said that at dawn on Saturday, an unmanned drone about the size of a small car came down to a height of about 250 metres over the palace, before turning on its lights and flying away.
Kuwait's Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak al-Sabah has ordered the beefing up of security measures around vital installations in the country, according to a government statement posted on Twitter on Sunday.
"Security officials have started the necessary investigation regarding the drone that was seen flying over the coastal area of Kuwait City," it said.
Another newspaper, al-Rai, said that the drone continued for a considerable period of time and flew over the seaside residential palace of Emir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Sabah who is undertaking medical tests in the United States.
Kuwait is an OPEC member which has land borders with Iraq and Saudi Arabia and shares sea borders with Iran.
[DAWN] Occupied Kashmir ...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there.... has seen an average of 20 protests per day against Indian rule over the last six weeks despite a security lockdown to quell unrest, according to a senior government source.
Tensions remain high in the disputed Himalayan region after New Delhi’s controversial decision last month to revoke the territory’s decades old semi-autonomous status.
Despite a curfew, restrictions on movement and the severe curtailment of internet and mobile phone services, public demonstrations against India ‐ mostly in the largest city Srinagar ‐ have been constant, the official said late on Saturday.
Altogether there have been 722 protests since August 5, with Baramulla district in the northwest and Pulwama in the south the biggest hotspots after Srinagar, the source said.
Since that date, nearly 200 civilians and 415 security force members have been injured, according to the source. Ninety-five of the civilians were maimed in the last two weeks, the official said.
So far more than 4,100 people ‐ including 170 local politicians ‐ have been detained across the occupied valley, with 3,000 released in the past two weeks, the source said.
It was unclear whether any politicians were among those released.
Indian authorities have so far insisted that outbreaks of violence have been minimal, and that only five civilians have died since the clampdown started.
The relatives of four of those killed said they believed the security forces were responsible for their deaths.

And three of the civs that died were killed by kashmiri jihadis.
[DAWN] Two Dolphin Squad personnel were suspended from service for allegedly torturing a youth on Cavalry Ground bridge in yet another incident of Punjab 1.) Little Orphan Annie's bodyguard
2.) A province of Pakistain ruled by one of the Sharif brothers
3.) A province of India. It is majority (60 percent) Sikh and Hindoo (37 percent), which means it has relatively few Moslem riots.... Police’s highhandedness in the historic provincial capital.
The torture was caught on a camera installed on a cycle of violence passing by. It showed two Dolphin Squad personnel confronting a youth for parking his cycle of violence on a roadside. Later, the men could be seen misbehaving with and slapping the boy in the video that lasts less than 30 seconds.
Punjab Inspector General of Police (IGP) Arif Nawaz Khan took notice of the incident after the video went viral and directed the field officers to submit an inquiry report to him. However, a poor excuse is better than no excuse at all... Deputy Inspector General (Operations) Ashfaq Khan suspended both the officers of Dolphin team 302 and directed Dolphin Squad Superintendent of Police (SP) Bilal Zafar to hold an inquiry against them. He said strict action would be taken against the coppers involved in misbehaving with citizens.
According to a blurb, the youth was doing a wheelie and a case was also registered against him at the Naseerabad cop shoppe.
In the past few months, Dolphin Squad has invited a lot of public outcry after it shot at two citizens within just two weeks. In the first incident in May, a woman returning home from a hospital died after a bullet fired by Dolphin Squad officials hit her.
In another incident in the same month, the force had shot at and injured a youth in Gulberg, who was returning home after purchasing medicines. The officials rather than providing first aid to the victim took him to cop shoppe and subjected him to torture. The officials were spotted in a video footage torturing a shopkeeper on Bund Road.
Last year, a Dolphin team had shot at and injured a mentally challenged person in Gulshan-e-Ravi. The officers claimed that they had acted in self-defence as the dear departed was carrying a knife and had attempted an assault on them. The same year, a teenage passerby died when he was caught in a reported exchange of fire between Dolphin personnel and suspected robbers on Bund Road.
SP Zafar had introduced refresher courses for Dolphin officials to tackle the issue, and claimed that the initiative was yielding results, as the number of complaints against the squad had dropped drastically.
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) launched a powerful attack on the bad boy positions in southern Idlib Monday, targeting several sites near the Ottoman Turkish observation post.

[DAWN] Rohingya Moslems remaining in Myanmar still face a "serious risk of genocide", UN Sherlocks said on Monday, warning the repatriation of a million already driven from the country by the army remains "impossible".
The fact-finding mission to Myanmar, set up by the Human Rights Council, last year branded the army operations in 2017 as "genocide" and called for the prosecution of top generals, including army chief Min Aung Hlaing. UNHRC current members include China, Iraq, Pakistain, Bangla, Rwanda, Cuba....
Some 740,000 Rohingya fled burning villages, bringing accounts of murder, rape and torture over the border to sprawling refugee camps in Bangladesh, where survivors of previous waves of persecution already languish.
But in a damning report, the UN team said the 600,000 Rohingya still inside Myanmar's Rakhine state remain in deteriorating and "deplorable" conditions.
"Myanmar continues to harbour genocidal intent and the Rohingya remain under serious risk of genocide," the Sherlocks said in their final report on Myanmar, due to be presented on Tuesday in Geneva.
The country is "denying wrongdoing, destroying evidence, refusing to conduct effective investigations and clearing, razing, confiscating and building on land from which it displaced Rohingya," it said.

[ALMASDARNEWS] Following a series of devastating defeats in southern Idlib and northern Hama, the jihadist rebels find themselves with "significant divisions" within their ranks, the Syria-based al-Watan newspaper reported.
Citing opposition sources, al-Watan said the divisions are occurring between Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, formerly al-Nusra, before that it was called something else ...al-Qaeda's Syrian affiliate, from which sprang the Islamic State... ’s Shura Council and their Salvation Government.
The divisions have been caused by their unwillingness to share administrative influence over the Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham-held areas inside the Idlib GOvernorate.
"In parallel, the sites reported that administrative and financial corruption and the major mistakes made by leaders of the organization led some of its button men to leave their ranks," al-Watan said, citing opposition media.
These divisions reportedly began to emerge after Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham suffered a series of losses at the hands of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA).
Among these jihadist losses were their pocket in northern Hama and the key city of Khan Sheikhoun, which had been under their control for several years.
Since then, accusations of betrayal and financial corruption have plagued these jihadist-held areas inside the Idlib Governorate.

[ALMASDARNEWS] A photo posted on Twitter this week showed what is believed to be a new anti-ship missile in the possession of Hezbollah’s military wing.
It was first posted on the Twitter account of @South_Thaer; it showed a large anti-ship missile with the "Islamic Resistance" emblem along the side of it.
The missile itself resembled one of the Chinese-made YJ-83, which is currently used by the Chinese military.
It is worth noting: while the photo itself has the logo of Hezbollah’s official media wing on it, the image cannot be found on any of the Lebanese group’s channels.

[BREITBART] As Week Two of the NFL’s 100th season kicks off, a quick look through social media finds many fans still wondering about all the empty seats as their favorite teams hit the gridiron.
The worst example appeared to be at L.A. Memorial Coliseum where the Rams were battling the visiting New Orleans Saints. Fans flooded social media with questions over the size of the crowd:
Where are the fans? The red u see are empty seats. Come on LA!!#RamsvsSaints #Rams #Saints #NFL100 #NFL https://t.co/HfIshPdIxK pic.twitter.com/VoRwlxZA2g
‐ VanCity604 (@City604Van) September 15, 2019
Also, as the Redskins at home at FedExField took on the visiting Dallas Cowboys ‐ and lost to Dallas, 31-21 ‐some wondered where the fans went:
The same question occurred to Dolphins fans as Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium seemed to have more than a few empties. Others probably wondered if the Dolphins even showed up with their crushing 43-0 loss to the New England Patriots:
Heinz Field was also said to be lacking fans as the Pittsburgh Steelers welcomed the Seattle Seahawks who beat the home team in a squeaker, 28-26:
The stands at the New York Giants’ MetLife Stadium were also sparsely populated as far as some fans thought. Fans were also not likely very happy that the Giants lost to the Buffalo Bills, 28-14, either:
At least one fan thought that the Bengals’ Paul Brown Stadium was not as full as it should be when the 49ers came to town to beat the home team 41-17:
Finally, fans worried that Nissan Stadium was lacking enthusiasm as the home team Titans took on, and lost to, the Indianapolis Colts, 19-17:

Nothing's dumber than making the same mistake twice. There's a reason the L.A. Raiders moved back to Oakland, and that's because L.A. residents do not like professional football.

At least the Dolphins, Giants & Bengals crowds (or lack thereof) make some sense - fans knew from the start of the season two weeks ago that they all suck big hairy donkey balls. Pittsburgh's a head scratcher, though that will probably remain the case now that Big Ben's out for the season with that elbow injury. Would like to see some 'journalists' start interviewing these former fans for the reason why; it's too easy to blame it on Kaepernick and I think in any case it's multiple reasons, not just Kneeling Douche Boy.

I stopped following football after that kneeling crap. They made it crystal clear that they hate us. They blame all of their problems on us and they do not consider themselves Americans like the rest of us. I said, OK, I got the message.
I don't hate the NFL. I just don't care any more. The opposite of love isn't hate. The opposite of love is indifference.

Maybe they should rebrand as the Globalist football league. Nothing national about them.

There was a time when sports was supposed to personify the American pursuit of excellence. To support your local team was to support America as a whole. When your local team basically spits on you and calls you a bunch of racists, people instead give them the big finger and look for other things.
It's hard to boycott what you never gave a damn about anyway, but others are now seeing my viewpoint. I'll watch when it reaches the point of last person to leave the field alive wins. That might be entertaining and justify their stupid salaries.

Not to disagree with the general trend, but there is one NFL player who seems to have his head screwed on straight: A spoprtcaster quoted Dallas Cowboys QB Zak Prescott at length on Sunday. I can't find an article, but I heard it with my own ears. (Paraphrasing)
It's not about the money. I love the game. I just want to be the best player I can be.
Now, he's still negotiating his contract, and that statement won't hurt his value, to be sure, but it's got more style than Kneeling-Kapperdick or holdout running back Zeke Elliot (who trained at Cabo while he was holding out). And Dak's first two games were fabulous.

The NFL players union is infested with social justice warriors and as such their attitude towards the fans has been obvious for a while.
I wonder why it took so long for us in the stands to catch on?
Prescott said ‘I’ve never played for money, it’s not what makes me happy.’ He said his goal is to be the best player ever and of course he wants to attain that status as a Dallas Cowboy”
Refreshing.

I agree with Raj. Something is fishy if someone uses LA attendance as some kind of yardstick for the nation. They've probably got the exact same group of football fans half-filling both stadiums (and waiting to drive to Vegas to catch Raiders games). Those folks are probably super-happy but they are a minority.

If the national anthem or flag is disrespected at an event, I can't think of any citizenry in the world that's going to pay to go still watch it and participate. The size of the audience in fact is indicative of the divide in Americans otherwise once united on innocent pastimes and sport.
It's like a statement to the wakandans and their SJW benefactors - 'you can have it.'

Football will be dead in a decade as parents refuse to let their kids play because of microcuncussions and that starts to starve the system of the number of necessary players.
The guys in charge are probably hoping to (a) buy off SJW sympathies to stave off lawsuits related to microcuncissions (b) ensure they get into the the good parties after the NFL folds.

NFL seems about like professional wrestling - yes, athletic ability is involved, but all the parties (including officials) are part of one company, and the company goal is to make money marketing entertainment.

[FOXNEWS] Fox News has obtained a series of disturbing videos showing mob-style attacks in downtown Minneapolis in which police say "vulnerable" victims were targeted and brutally beaten for valuables such as cellphones. The videos appear to show hate crimes by blacks on whites. The media won't say that
Police told Fox News that an "incredible" law enforcement investigation led to the arrest of 16 people in connection to the videos. They face assault and robbery charges, among others.
In one daytime video, a mob can be seen pummeling a man just outside of the Minneapolis Twins’ stadium. At one point, the attackers run to gain speed and jump on the victim. They ride a bike over him, take off his pants and beat him with a belt. The victim appears to defend himself but is outnumbered and overpowered.
In another gruesome video, two young men appear to be attacked. They’re punched in the face and appear to fight back. One is knocked unconscious.
In a third video, a young man is surrounded by a mob and beaten unconscious. The video appears to show something being taken from his pocket once he’s on the ground.
All of these videos are emerging as the city of Minneapolis is dealing with a crippling shortage of coppers. The chief of police, Medaria Arradondo, has requested 400 additional officers over the next few years to make up for the shortage.
However, there is a theory which states that if ever anybody discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened... some members of Minneapolis’ City Council argue against the money going toward additional officers. Instead, they say the money should go toward other law enforcement and safety programs.
The city’s mayor, Jacob Frey, has proposed adding 14 additional officers to the force.
Fourteen instead of four hundred? A bold and interesting approach, to be sure.
Police told Fox News the mayor is supportive of the department and the new policing strategies in the city’s downtown.
The shortage of police is so staggering that over the past year the police department was unable to immediately send a squad car to 6,776 priority one emergencies. That includes situations like shots fired, stabbings and sexual assaults. A Minneapolis police website says priority one calls involve "an imminent threat to personal safety, or the loss or damage to property exists."
Even worse, police were unable to immediately respond to seven "priority zero" calls, including a baby not breathing and a fellow officer facing imminent danger. Priority zero calls, according to the Minneapolis police website, "include those situations where a known crisis exists that threatens the life of an individual. This is the highest possible priority and the fastest possible response is desired. The MECC objective is to have squads en route to the call within 30 seconds of receipt by the dispatcher."
"To have to look someone in the eye and tell them that we were unable to get there because we do not have enough resources ‐ it’s unacceptable," Andy Skoogman, the president of Minnesota Police Chiefs Association, told Fox News.
The chair of the city’s safety committee, Alondra Cano, previously told Fox News that the city council acknowledges there is a crisis and is investing and diversifying its force to better represent the community.

diversifying its force to better represent the community.
It's obvious 'the community' has been over represented. What the force needs is highly prejudiced white supremacists with batons and nooses, not more Lumumbas and Dildodos.

[ALMASDARNEWS] During his recent meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Russian President Vladimir Putin ...President-for-Life of Russia. He gets along well with other presidents for life. He is credited with bringing political stability and re-establishing something like the rule of law, which occasionally results in somebody dropping dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substance. Under Putin, a new group of business magnates controlling significant swathes of Russia's economy has emerged, all of whom have close personal ties to him. The old bunch, without close personal ties to Putin, are in jail or in exile or dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substances... expressed his dissatisfaction with Israel’s attacks inside Leb, Independent Arabia reported on Friday. The Russian source said:
"Putin has expressed his dissatisfaction from Israel’s latest actions in Leb," the publication reported, pointing out that Russia "rejects the aggression towards Leb’s illusory sovereignty."
Putin further stated that someone is cheating him in regards to Syria and Leb and that he will not let it go without a response. According to him, Netanyahu was warned not to strike such targets in the future.
According to the Russian publication Avia.Pro, the warning indicated that Russia was willing to protect Lebanese airspace with their S-400 air defense system.
"Given such information, it is most likely about the inclusion of Lebanese territory under the protection of the Russian Triumph S-400 air defense systems, which will allow control over Israeli actions, especially since the last attacks on Syrian territory were carried out from the airspace of this country," the publication said.
It could also be simply that Putin understands that Netanyahu, now desperate to extend his political career to a record fifth term as prime minister as next week’s elections loom, could be ready to risk a major and very unnecessary Middle East conflagration in order to continue to appeal to Israeli right wing and nationalist voters.
The Russian S-400 system is already present inside Syria; however, there has been no indication from the Russian Ministry of Defense that this has been offered to Leb.

Some religions consider it to be a crime. In Pakistain you can commit blasphemy by looking cross-eyed at a Koran... a day before, Sukkur Additional Inspector General (AIG) Jamil Ahmed said on Monday.
All first information reports (FIR) have been filed in the Ghotki A-section cop shoppe with the state as the complainant.
One FIR was filed under Sections 295 (injuring or defiling place of worship, with intent to insult the religion of any class), 147 (punishment for rioting) and 149 (every member of unlawful assembly guilty of offence committed in prosecution of common object) of the Pakistain Penal Code (PPC). AIG Ahmed said that Section 295 was included because the protesters had vandalised a Hindu temple. Police have nominated 45 people in the FIR, out of which 22 are named while 23 are unidentified.
Another case was lodged against 150 people ‐ 27 named and 123 unidentified persons ‐ for blocking roads. A third FIR pertaining to rioting and theft was filed against 23 people, including 11 unidentified persons, over reports that protesters had stolen goods from multiple shops in Shahi Bazar.
Police have asked the school administration to file a separate complaint against people who damaged the building and infrastructure, so that a fourth FIR can be registered. If the administration of the school is reluctant to act as complainant, it should inform the police so the case can be lodged on behalf of the state, the management was told.
In response to a question regarding the principal of the school, who has been accused of committing blasphemy, AIG Ahmed said that he will be taken to court after the law and order situation has been assessed.
Though the situation in Ghotki is relatively calm today, shops owned by Hindu residents in the Ladies Market, Shahi Bazaar and other areas remained closed. Delegations of political parties visited Dhaam Mandir today, which had been vandalised by mobs, and expressed solidarity with the Hindu community.
Sindh Taraqi Pasand Party Chairman Qadir Magsi, who was among the politicians who visited the temple, called for a judicial inquiry of the matter.
PROTESTS AND CONDEMNATIONS
Protests began in Ghotki on Saturday after a FIR was filed against the principal ‐ who is from the Hindu community ‐ of Sindh Public School on the complaint of Abdul Aziz Rajput, a student's father who claimed that the former had committed blasphemy.
Residents of Ghotki demanded that the police arrest the principal, issued a call for a shutter-down strike, and erupted into the streets in protest. Videos of stick-wielding protesters were shared on social media on Sunday, in which they were seen vandalising a Hindu temple and damaging the school where the alleged incident took place.
Protests were also held in surrounding towns, including Mirpur Mathelo and Adilpur, where demonstrators blocked roads and demanded that the police arrest the school principal.
According to rights activist Sattar Zangejo, the Hindu community of the area was forced to remain indoors due to the riots.

[DAWN] The registrar of the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday said that a decision on the Punjab 1.) Little Orphan Annie's bodyguard
2.) A province of Pakistain ruled by one of the Sharif brothers
3.) A province of India. It is majority (60 percent) Sikh and Hindoo (37 percent), which means it has relatively few Moslem riots.... government's letter requesting that a high court judge be nominated to conduct a judicial inquiry over the custodial death of an alleged ATM robber Salahuddin Ayubi will be taken after the LHC chief justice returns to the country.
In a letter written to the LHC registrar on September 11, the Punjab government asked that a judge of the high court be nominated to constitute a one-man tribunal to hold a judicial inquiry to ascertain the facts and circumstances for Ayubi's death in police custody and to suggest measures to prevent any such incident in the future.
In a separate letter written on Sept 5, the provincial government had asked for a judicial officer to be appointed to hold a judicial inquiry into the matter. The high court's registrar today disposed of this request saying that a senior civil judge was already conducting an inquiry into Salahuddin's death.
In the wake of Ayubi's death, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar had ordered a judicial inquiry into the matter.
Ayubi, a resident of Gujranwala, was arrested in Rahim Yar Khan when he was allegedly caught stealing from an ATM machine on Aug 31. Two days later, he was reported dead. According to the district police officer's spokesperson Zeeshan Randhawa, Ayubi was behaving like a "mad man" in lockup when he "suddenly became unwell". He had said that the man was unconscious when he was shifted to the emergency ward of Sheikh Zayed Medical College Hospital, where doctors confirmed his death.

[DAWN] The government of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa has decided to make it mandatory for female students of government-run schools to cover themselves up in the province’s educational institutions, Adviser to Chief Minister on Elementary and Secondary Education Ziaullah Bangash said on Monday.
The order was first circulated in Haripur district last week, where the district education officer asked all principals and headmistresses of government schools to ensure that girl students wore an abaya, gown or chador.
"We came across some situations during our recent visits to tribal areas and Kohistan ...a backwoods district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa distinguished by being even more rustic than is the norm among the local Pashtuns.... that prompted us to take this decision," Bangash told DawnNewsTV, without specifying what these situations were.
Editorial: Rather than policing women's bodies, state authorities should ensure harassers are punished
"We have sensitive areas in the province which require safety measures for the children," he said, adding that the decision is "also in line with the tribal values and the traditions of Islam".
The adviser further said: "This step has been taken particularly to remove the doubts raised by parents about the safety of their children.
"We have to take decisions which are in the best interest of our culture, people and the province. If such a measure can convince the parents to send their girls to schools, why not go ahead with it?"
The adviser said that it was important to focus on the education of both boys and girls in the province. "Our focus is on educating our girls and we should take every step to enable this," he added.
Earlier today, the decision was enforced in Beautiful Downtown Peshawar ...capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa administrative and economic hub for the Federally Administered Tribal Areas of Pakistan. Peshawar is situated near the eastern end of the Khyber Pass, convenient to the Pak-Afghan border. Peshawar has evolved into one of Pakistan's most ethnically and linguistically diverse cities, which means lots of gunfire. through a notification issued by District Education Officer Samina Ghani, who directed the heads of all government girls middle, high and higher secondary schools in the district to instruct their students to cover themselves up with a gown, abaya or chador "in order to protect them from any unethical incident".

[ALMASDARNEWS] The serial production of Russia’s most advanced S-500 long-range air defense missile system will start in the second half of 2020, CEO of Russia’s state hi-tech corporation Rostec Sergei Chemezov said in an interview with business daily RBC.
"I believe that the serial production will begin in one year time," Chemezov said.
According to him, Russia will not be exporting the new air defense system in the course of five years, because "first of all, we need to provide for our Army and only then start export production."
The S-500 is set to replace the S-400 air defense missile system. The S-500 is being developed for its operation in the next 25 years. Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu earlier said that the deliveries of S-500 surface-to-air missile systems to the troops would begin in 2020.
Russia has been training personnel at the Aerospace Defense Military Academy in Tver to learn to operate the S-500 since 2017.

As for specialty caliber ARs, what a waste of time. If you want to shoot hogs, get an AR 10 and be done with it. Better variety of ammo and more reliable. If you are going after dangerous game like big bears, the last thing you want is a compromise round designed to feed in an AR receiver. Get a 375 H&H or 300 Win Mag and put Smokie down humanely.

Incidentally, anybody has an idea how long would it take a competent gunsmith to turn an AR - 15 into a fully automatic?
From 2000 to 2015, the number of manufacturers of AR-15 style variants and knock-offs increased from 29 to about 500.
The National Shooting Sports Foundation has estimated that approximately 5 million to 10 million AR-15 style rifles exist in the U.S.

Not a topic to go on record about, G. But lots of things are easier than hitting a good sand wedge. There are 50 cal BMG semi autos but the mag well alone is as big as an AR lower. It's purpose built and that's a good thing. A 50 BMG round is a lot of remedy.

g(r)omgoru there are some pretty easy ways someone with minimal metalworking skill can do to make an AR automatic.
I wouldn't recommend it as not only it is illegal, but the civilian AR isn't designed to sustain a heavy firing cycle for an extended time. The AR will jam pretty quickly.

Ankara (IraqiNews.com) ‐ Ottoman Turkish jets "neutralized" three PKK holy warriors in northern Iraq, the Ottoman Turkish Defense Ministry said on Monday.
Ottoman Turkish authorities often use the word "neutralized" in statements to imply the holy warriors in question surrendered or were killed or captured.

You must be having loads of fun fundraising, dude, given that Rasmussen’s daily tracking poll has President Trump slightly ahead of Barack Obama at the same stage of his presidency and, ya know, Barack Obama was reelected.
[THEHILL] Former Rep. Joe Walsh (Ill.), one of three Republicans challenging President Trump in 2020, called the GOP a "cult" and the president a "would-be dictator" as he denounced the decision to scrap primaries in some states.
"I’ve given up on the Republican Party, the Republican Party is a cult, right. They no longer stand for ideals. The Republican Party right now is all about washing their leaders' feet every day, that’s what they do," Walsh said Monday on CNN.
"We’re going to take our campaign directly to Republican voters ‐ and I’ll add in all 50 states. We’re gonna campaign in all 50 states, we’re gonna campaign in South Carolina, Arizona, Nevada and Kansas, because I believe if we let these Republican voters know that the president of the United States just took away their right to vote they’ll march on the headquarters of their state parties to get that right to vote back," he said.
State party officials have said the canceled primaries in several states including South Carolina and Arizona are an effort to save costs and use that money for other races.
State parties of the same political party as the incumbent president have canceled nominating processes in the past.
Walsh, though, said the canceled primaries are different this time "because it's never been done when there's been primary challengers."

Not all hindus are vegetarian, SCFI. In fact you'll find that some Sikhs are pretty much omnivorous.
Hindus are 74-84 percent of the Indian population, and only 15 % of them are vegetarian. These are trapped in the religious hubris of a vedic age. Most vegetarians though are so by lifestyle choice. A food census in 2015 showed that only 20% Indians are actually vegetarian.
The north eastern states are the biggest consumers of pork and beef. In 2017, the right-wing hindu govt, in line with their policy of selective disempowerment and making the muslim miserable banned beef consumption and sale in some states. So beef is unavailable in some states.
The reason for low consumption of meat in India (what I think) is because of the shitty quality of most meat, lack of modernity in animal husbandry and the industry in general. I wouldn't waste money on rubbery steak from an Indian cow even if the govt allowed it.
More than diet it is the resourcefulness and adaptability of the Indian that enables him to get by and thrive in any environs. The average Indian negotiates an existence between a disinterested corrupt State, ravenously hungry religious and social mores, and his/her own ambitions and dreams which are increasingly expensive. I feel it's the adversity and the memory of it that provides the inertia to hardworking kids to succeed. Also no social security for the have-nots. Didn't study when you had the chance ? FOAD.
Real Reason for the 'thrive'
But the one most important thing that has helped Indians the most is the convent system of education given us by the British albeit under whip and musket, which became the substructure for all education reform in India. A centralized education board and updated certification and examination norms. Any affirmative action policies that we did implement were engineered in such a way so as to reserve some vacancies and admissions into education, but for recipients not to get promoted or employed due to unfair parity. You have to be smart and capable to negotiate the school system to grad to make a living. Due to this, the Indian techies that make it out of here, or the business geeks like Nadella you may encounter in the US and elsewhere are the best products of the Indian education system.
But it's not going to last. For a long time successive govts have been blindly aping the American schooling system because it sounds and reads cooler on paper. ☺

I remember being told that many Hindus wouldn't rent to Americans, on the assumption that Americans would eat meat and therefore pollute the facilities.

[ALMASDARNEWS] The Saudi oil and gas giant, Aramco, may take up to months in order to resume normal oil production volumes following destructive drone attacks early this week.
According to informed sources, the Soddy Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face... ’s oil exports will continue as normal this week as the kingdom taps into stocks from its large storage facilities, but that Aramco may have to cut exports later if the outage in output continued for long.

When peace means submission, sure. But you know what, you little bint? Molon labe. You can get in line behind the five armies of the Arabs, who failed, and all the jihadis of the various factions of Palestinians financed by the USSR, the EU, the U.S., the UN, and Iran’s Mad Mullahs over the years, who also failed.
[CNSNEWS] The very "existence" of Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu "is contrary to the peace," Rep. Ilhan Omar ...Somali-American Dem representative from Minnesota. She is apparently married to her brother and may be her own grandmaw on her mother's side... (D-Minn.) said Sunday in an interview with CBS’s ’Face the Nation" Host Margaret Brennan.
Commenting on Netanyahu banning her from visiting Israel and his bid for reelection, Omar said that she hopes the people of Israel will "recognize that his existence, his policies, his rhetoric is contradictory" to achieving a peaceful "two-state solution" in the Middle East.

The real news on Ilhan is not the fact that she married her brother. It is who her father married.
[WASHINGTONEXAMINER] The New York Times
...which still proudly displays Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize... has been excoriated after publishing new allegations of sexual misconduct against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh only to later add a bombshell update that undercuts the entire piece.
The Saturday evening report was adapted from an upcoming book by news hounds Robin Pogrebin and Kate Kelly titled The Education of Brett Kavanaugh: An Investigation, due out this week.
Their report details an alleged incident that occurred during Kavanaugh's time at Yale University. One of his classmates, Max Stier, said he witnessed Kavanaugh make inappropriate sexual contact with a female student.
In the updated version of the article, the following passage was added, "The female student declined to be interviewed and friends say she does not recall the episode."
"An earlier version of this article, which was adapted from a forthcoming book, did not include one element of the book's account regarding an assertion by a Yale classmate that friends of Brett Kavanaugh pushed his penis into the hand of a female student at a drunken dorm party. The book reports that the female student declined to be interviewed and friends say that she does not recall the incident. That information has been added to the article," it continued.
The update, which many viewed as evidence that exonerates Kavanaugh, caused significant blowback for the outlet.
Kavanaugh faced similar allegations during the lead up to his confirmation to the Supreme Court. Three separate allegations became public during that time period. Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, who accused Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her in 1982, testified in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee, as did Kavanaugh.

At what point does this pass into the territory of reckless disregard with malicious intent?
They knew that this was not corroborated: it's their own journalists' book, which the NYT reviewed.
They knew that pumping up this story would feed other news organizations' hunger for slander, and that it would be picked up and run with by the Dem presidential candidates and possibly become fodder for impeachment talk.
They have obviously, clearly shown malice toward Kavanaugh from day one, slamming and smearing him relentlessly with baseless attacks on his character, his manner and demeanor, even his background.
When will this country's defamation lawyers step up and start suing this gutter press - formerly known as the "paper of record" - out of existence?

In a just world, every one of them should be shot; I'd settle for firings and a lifetime of mockery and shame, if they were they capable of the latter.

[Rudaw] The families of several children and wives of French fighters for the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. (ISIS ...embracing their inner Islamic Brute... ) in Syria have filed lawsuits against La Belle France's top diplomat over his refusal to let them come to La Belle France, lawyers said Monday.
The suits, filed in July and September, accuse Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian of "failing to provide aid" to people in "danger" at camps operated by Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces in northeastern Syria.
The complaints were filed with the Court of Justice of the Republic (CJR), which hears cases over alleged misconduct by former or serving ministers.
It is the latest legal challenge to La Belle France's longstanding opposition to allowing the children and wives of suspected jihadists in Syria or Iraq to return home.
The government, which says it considers requests on a case-by-case basis only, has brought back just 17 children since March, many of them orphans.
Critics say the policy exposes innocent victims of the war, many of whom have suffered serious trauma during the fighting and coalition bombardments, to long-term psychological risks.
"The policy of 'case by case' keeps more than 200 children and their mothers exposed to inhumane and degrading treatment, and at risk of death," the lawyers said.
They note that Kurdish officials are also pressing Europe ...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum... an governments to repatriate citizens who went to fight for the Islamic State group in Syria, as well as their family members.
"It's a political choice not to save these children and mothers being held arbitrarily," one of the lawyers, Marie Dose, told AFP.
Asked about the lawsuit, a foreign ministry spokeswoman said in a statement that La Belle France remained "fully mobilised so that each situation is handled with the children's interests in mind."
"Our priority is to ensure the return of the most vulnerable orphan or isolated children," she added.
A similar lawsuit was filed against La Belle France last May at the European Court of Human Rights, by the grandparents of two children stranded with their French jihadist mother in Syria.
The boy and girl, who were born in Syria, are among an estimated 500 children of French citizens who joined the Islamic State's so-called "caliphate" before the jihadists' last Syrian redoubt was overrun in March.
[DAWN] A parliament member who is a senior pro-India politician in Indian Kashmir ...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there.... e was arrested on Monday under a controversial law that allows authorities to imprison someone for up to two years without charge or trial. Why arrest a pro-India Pol?
Farooq Abdullah, 81, who also was the former chief minister of occupied Jammu and Kashmir, was arrested under the Public Safety Act (PSA) at his residence in Srinagar, the summer capital and main city of the disputed Himalayan region.
"We have arrested him, and a committee will decide how long the arrest will be," said Muneer Khan, a top police official.
Abdullah is the first pro-India politician who has been arrested under PSA, under which rights activists say more than 20,000 Kashmiris have been detained in the last two decades.
Abdullah’s residence was declared a subsidiary jail and he, as well as other Kashmiri leaders, was put under house arrest on August 5 when Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Hindu nationalist-led government in New Delhi stripped Indian Kashmire of semi-autonomy and statehood.
On August 6, Indian Home Minister Amit Shah denied to the lower house of Parliament that Abdullah were tossed into the calaboose or arrested.
"If he (Abdullah) does not want to come out of his house, he cannot be brought out at gunpoint," Shah had said, when other parliamentarians expressed concern over Abdullah’s absence during the debate on Kashmir’s status.
According to The Wire, the decision to apply PSA on the National Conference president came on Sunday night, ahead of Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK) leader Vaiko's habeas corpus petition in the Indian Supreme Court.
The publication reported that the absence of any papers justifying the former chief minister's arrest would have been an embarrassment for the centre during the petition hearing.
