#1 What the media isn't telling you is that the election was decided by muslim foreigners that illegally voted for Gbagbo's opponent.
Gbagbo and his government are Christian as is the majority in the country.
Gbagbo's opponent is Muslim and the Muslim vote was questionable.
Gbagbo is not going to turn his country over to muslim fundamentalist minority just because muslims were imported to alter the vote.

I really hate the media for not covering this!
