In 2008 a high ranking Gaddafi regime element expressed his desire to annihilate a Western European nation with nuclear weapons.
Gaddafi himself called for Jihad against the same nation, i.e. he announced Libyan sponsored terror attacks.
That's hardly 'trying to be friendly.'
When Arab-Muslim tyrants are telling us that they want to kill us we should take them seriously, and maybe heed the lesson of the parable of the 'The Scorpion and the Frog.'
I do believe that NATO air power should be used to destroy Gaddafi's forces and, if possible to kill him and his clan.
We should do so for our sakes, to retaliate for decades of lethal Libyan aggression. To show the world that attacks on the West are a deadly mistake.
If the rebels are good guys the will reap a collateral benefit, if not they will have witnessed a demonstration of power and will know better than to attack the West.
The practice of forgiving, appeasing and rewarding unrepentant aggressors like Gaddafi or the Taliban is putting us all in grave danger.
Of course with BHO in the White House nothing will be done so this is just a pointless rant.

No matter how many Muslim gunmen shout Allahu akbar as they open fire on non-Muslims, at this point the dogmatic lines have been drawn: analysts in the top military and intelligence posts in the U.S. and Europe understand that Islam is a religion of peace that has been hijacked by a tiny minority of extremists, and they have been taught to understand that that fact somehow frees them from the obligation of understanding the enemys belief-system and formulating effective ways to combat it.
I didn't need to read any more after that - game over.

No. Not just yet. There are those like Rep. Allen West (R-Fla) that understand the truth. And these dinosaur slaves to PC are going to be pushed out soon.
Will it be too late, I don't know. But everyone can help by gently educating anyone that will listen. Arm yourself with the facts, and resources to point folks to, and get busy.
I have been education friends, family and coworkers for quite sometime now. You have to start gently and not pile too much on them at once.
A side comment: these people pushing the ROP meme are going to eat nine miles of crap when the first really mass casualty attack occurs. Notice I said when, not if. And it is coming soon. Before the 2012 elections.

My fear as well Secret Asian Man. My assessment for what it's worth, simultaneous or near-simultaneous attacks on at least 3 strategic financial areas; the economic hub of New York City being the prime target as it has in the past. Obama will move very quickly to Martial Law or something close to it by another, more PC name. Not wishing to let "a crisis go to waste" suspending the constitution will come naturally for him. We will then be introduced to FEMA regions and be told what "radio channel to turn to in the event of an emergency." I doubt this paper we're carrying around in our wallets will be worth a damn thing at that point. The wheels will have finally fallen off, not by economic betrayal or political failure, but by some distant evil foreign entity who cannot be readily identified and dealt with. The entire country will be in an import-export and banking lockdown. Electronic transfers and possibly communications will be suspended or disabled "due to the attacks or threats of new attacks." Accounts will be frozen both foreign and domestic. We then sit helpless under a do-nothing administration and await the next plague.

The first mass casualty attack already happened on 9/11. The ROP meme-pushers were active then, at the beginning of the formal inauguration of the Jihad. If 9/11 didn't kill that meme, nothing will, ever.
