[Breitbart] President Joe Biden plans to create a New Deal-style "Civilian Climate Corps" to mobilize "a new, diverse generation of patriotic Americans" for the battle against climate change.
On Wednesday, Biden unveiled a flurry of executive actions his administration planned to undertake to "tackle the climate crisis at home and abroad." The president, who campaigned for the White House last year on a platform "environmental justice," argued the actions were necessary if the United States had any hopes of leading a "global response" to the climate crisis.
"Just like we need a unified national response to Covid-19 [coronavirus], we desperately need a unified national response to the climate crisis because there is a climate crisis," Biden told reporters at the White House when signing the executive orders into effect.
To help implement the unified national response, Biden is proposing the creation of a civilian climate corps. The program, based on the poverty-relief programs of President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s New Deal, will focus on employing individuals to work on energy-efficient infrastructure and conservation programs.
The "Civilian Climate Corps Initiative [will] put a new generation of Americans to work conserving and restoring public lands and waters, increasing reforestation, increasing carbon sequestration ... and addressing the changing climate," a policy brief prepared by the White House reads.
Last year, while running for the White House, Biden embraced the idea of a civilian climate corps. The proposal was one of several that came from a unity task force Biden and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) set up after the conclusion of the Democratic presidential primaries. At the time, Biden also proposed spending upwards of $2 trillion dollars over his term in office to address climate change.

With the Supreme Court in his pocket, he can do anything via Executive Order. Remember Obama issued a number of EO's which directly contradicted Federal Law. (DACA for example).

Best way to fight global warming would be to bring our manufacturing back from China where they burn all that dirty brown coal without any scrubbers on the smoke stacks.

Brilliant! I wish Trump had thought of this. Sign these idiots up to go around wiping cow's butts and plant trees. Pay them slave wages. Tell them they are saving the earth. Keep them off the streets and out of real jobs that matter. It's f*&king genius.

Unfortunately, they'll all be government employees, making $15/hr to sit on their phones/brains.

You will need to replace your oil and gas heat and also your gas stove before 2022 and replace them with clean and green electric. No tax credit, though.
Grid can't handle the strain? Light a candle, sucker. No candles left? Tough noogie.

To save Gia they should voluntarily take themselves out of the gene pool. Even better would be to stop producing Carbon Dioxide but that's a lot to ask of all but the most dedicated.
Unlike its aircraft division, which is fine, the FAA space division has a fundamentally broken regulatory structure.
Their rules are meant for a handful of expendable launches per year from a few government facilities. Under those rules, humanity will never get to Mars.

Statement from the FAA just now re the SpaceX SN9 flight: “We will continue working with SpaceX to resolve outstanding safety issues before we approve the next test flight.”

And if Elon wants to see fundamentally broken, he should look at the unmanned aerial service (drones) section of the FAA. What Amazon wants, they get. Hobbyists and those finding other ways to use drones commercially? They may as well not exist.

The good news is that we now have the Space Force to protect against Jewish Space Lasers, or all space lasers for that matter.

The complaint says DOJ "enforces the anti-discrimination provision of the Immigration and Nationality Act (“INA”), which prohibits employment discrimination on the basis of citizenship and national origin." But under ITAR SpaceX CAN'T hire foreigners, right? What am I missing?
[CBS] House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy warned his members to stop the public bickering within the conference if they want to effectively push back on the Biden administration and win back the majority in 2022, a congressional aide tells CBS News.
His blunt message to his colleagues on Wednesday's phone call: "Cut this crap out."
The warning comes as several members within the conference are organizing an effort to oust the number three House Republican, Wyoming Representative Liz Cheney, from her position as conference chairwoman. Cheney voted to impeach then-President Trump and angered many Republicans by releasing a statement the day before her vote outlining her position — which was later quoted by several House Democrats during the floor debate.

Kevin, it's called party discipline. Democrats are very, very good at it and that's one reason why they now control Congress. You should try it some time. As the English might say, "Put a bit of stick about."

I'd say the Pubs have a few problems. There names are:
HOUSE
Jaime Herrera Beutler of Washington, John Katko of New York, Adam Kinzinger of Illinois, Peter Meijer of Michigan, Dan Newhouse of Washington, Tom Rice of South Carolina, Fred Upton of Michigan, David Valadao of California
SENATE.
Republican Sens. Mitt Romney of Utah, Susan Collins of Maine, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Ben Sasse of Nebraska and Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania.
Toss in Senator Mitch McConnell, Kentucky and the Pubs have a RINO problem. We know who the Dems are. We know they are consistent in presenting a unified bloc. The RINOS are unpredictable and are likely to stab you in the back. Trump knows, he campaigned for some of them.
There may be a few more that aren't included in the list.
[Right Scoop] Biden has officially begun the creation of a so-called bipartisan committee which will be used an excuse to increase the number of seats on the Supreme Court — a radical proposition to be sure:
POLITICO — The Biden administration is moving forward with the creation of a bipartisan commission to study reforms to the Supreme Court and the federal judiciary.
The commission will be housed under the purview of the White House Counsel’s office and filled out with the behind-the-scenes help of the Biden campaign’s lawyer Bob Bauer. Its specific mandate is still being decided. But, in a signal that the commission is indeed moving ahead, some members have already been selected, according to multiple people familiar with the discussions.
The White House declined to comment. But a source familiar with the discussion expects between nine and 15 members total to be appointed to the commission.
Here’s the three chosen for the committee thus far, which is clearly in its beginning states:
[The White House] Advancing inclusion and belonging for people of all races, national origins, and ethnicities is critical to guaranteeing the safety and security of the American people. During the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, inflammatory and xenophobic rhetoric has put Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) persons, families, communities, and businesses at risk.
The Federal Government must recognize that it has played a role in furthering these xenophobic sentiments through the actions of political leaders, including references to the COVID-19 pandemic by the geographic location of its origin. Such statements have stoked unfounded fears and perpetuated stigma about Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders and have contributed to increasing rates of bullying, harassment, and hate crimes against AAPI persons. These actions defied the best practices and guidelines of public health officials and have caused significant harm to AAPI families and communities that must be addressed.
[Red State] There has been a lot of news dropping today.
But there’s one thing that’s incredibly important not to miss.
Remember how Joe Biden insisted that he wouldn’t be raising taxes on the middle class? That ultimately his ’plan’ was only going to hit the people making over $400,000, who needed to "pay their fair share" and you ordinary Americans weren’t going to be hit?
You knew that was a lie, right? Anyone with any sense, anyone who has been watching Democrats for years should know that was a lie. It was only just a matter of time before they admit, woefully of course, that you shouldn’t have read their lips, that all you had to do was use your common sense to know they couldn’t fund all the programs they’re talking about without touching everyone.
So now let’s look at what Biden’s Commerce Secretary nominee just admitted to, because sure as shooting, we are definitely going to be revisiting this question more in the future.
We reported on the first lie/broken campaign promise here, promising a $2000 check to people if they voted for the Democrats for Senate in Georgia.
We’re already seeing the damage that Biden’s climate policies are doing to the energy industry and by extension to all of us when the raised prices hit.
But now there’s more we can chalk up to the Democrats’ climate approach, according to Townhall.
Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) asks Gina Raimondo, the Commerce nominee who has also been the Governor of Rhode Island, what she thinks about raising gas taxes or other taxes on the poorest Americans in order to pay for Biden’s climate policies. So now if she’s really holding to Biden’s promises during the campaign, her response should be, "Well, we’re only going to touch the folks over $400,000," right? But no, she goes on to say that they were going to have to "balance interests" in deciding what to do about it.

I got an e-mail from a client who was exploring the possibility of forming a C corporation 'because of the lower tax rates'. That was pretty funny...
#5
That was actually one of the few lies Biden was called on during the campaign. I think Trump called him on it in a debate saying rolling back Trump tax cuts = raising taxes on middle class. Biden denied as if he knew more about the Trump tax cuts than Trump.
[Real News.com] In his first 48 hours in office, President Biden eviscerated many of Trump’s noted accomplishments: He suspended construction on the border wall; he rejoined the Paris Accords; he signed executive orders mandating that law-abiding American citizens wear potentially dangerous facemasks while on federal property and on public transportation. And, among other things, he slashed America’s defense budget, which will likely cripple the nation’s defense readiness status.
And military generals are fuming mad.
Two—US Army General James Dickenson, Commander, US Space Force, and Air Force General Glen VanHerck, Commander of NORAD—contacted Biden on Thursday to question his motives for drastically slashing their budgets.
Reader Caution: I have NOT been able to confirm this story, however:
China Joe's handlers will likely resurrect the Obama model and program of social spending. Money for reparations aka needs based Guaranteed Minimum Incomes (GMI) will have to come from somewhere. The Administration has already placed a bull's eye on Foreign Military Sales. I would also look for the initiation of military base realignments and closures (BRAC) similar to those undertaken in the early days of the Obama administration.

Bee? “Give me a break. I’m president now and I make the decisions, not Trump. Get on board or get fired,” Biden reportedly said to General Dickenson. “The Space Force is going away. If you want to go away, too, just say the word.”
Unity, Man. That's how you achieve it! Elections have consequences!

Always good to spread fear and loathing among your enemies. Hey, look what a few yahoos did to the Donks on the hill. Particularly enemies who've destroyed real history so they have no idea of what kind of environment they're creating.

The Bee is going to be the second casualty of the biden admin, second to Keystone pipeline. His absurdity will be hard to top by any satire media. And after the FBI raided a guy yesterday for a meme, compiled with Biden decreeing the term China Virus a crime, we are sliding down that chute of no return fast! Out 1st amendment is beat up, raped and torn to shreds, begging the second to defend her!

If Dems control the White House for 8 years these Generals won't even recognize their military.
#6
Well at this time my contacts assure me Biden is out. Those executive orders he signed were blank pages. The window behind him with the parking lot is not at the White House( from an officer who has been "in the White House 100's of times"). Several black vehicles arrived; I believe yesterday, in DC. Hollywood theater on display. The military are the ones in power now. Target date is March first. I hope sooner. I have been assured this will happen. One veteran in security work for 23 years simply said I hope you are correct. Trump it is said will return. Basically the election was stolen and they have the proof of outside interference.
#8
Doesn't matter #7. My sources are varied and well placed. Proof will shortly be displayed dramatically. If not then in the sewer the country goes. Many insist to keep the faith. Time will tell.

Hello #9. When I make these comments I don't add to the information. I have met people who were there at historic events and I tell others what they have said. Most; usually say, no that did not happen. It seems first hand information does not count. When talking to a Veteran and he tells his story. Him looking at you sternly. I would believe the Veteran. You can tell he has no patience to argue with you. The 23 year Veteran was in Vietnam. He married a Vietnamese woman. He has been stuck here for months because the travel problems getting back to Vietnam. He is on Facebook as Steve Stafford. I sent him Rantburg site to visit. I believe you two could carry on a good conversation.Thank you for your service.

/\ As I mentioned in #9, I hope you are correct. I was sick and tired of Plugs years before the inauguration. My service was most un-extraordinary. Your closing comment was much appreciated nonetheless.
FILE - In this Monday, Jan. 11, 2021, file photo, teachers Adrienne Thomas, left, and Irene Barrera set up their computers and materials for their virtual classes outside of Suder Montessori Magnet Elementary School in solidarity with pre-K educators forced back into the building in Chicago. Chicago teachers ordered to schools this week ahead of students planned to ignore district orders over coronavirus safety concerns, setting the stage for a work stoppage in the nation's third-largest school district, according to a union email circulated Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2021. (Anthony Vazquez/Chicago Sun-Times via AP, File)
CHICAGO (AP) ‐ Chicago ditched plans Tuesday for thousands of teachers to report to schools this week ahead of students after the teachers union said its members wouldn't comply and were prepared to picket over coronavirus safety concerns.
The reversal in the nation's third-largest district also meant roughly thousands of pre-K and special education students who started in-person classes earlier this month as part of gradual return would shift back to online learning. The district went remote last March, but district officials say it's not working, particularly for many low-income Black and Latino students who comprise the majority of the district.
