Pakistan Continues Conspiracies against Afghanistan: Balkh Governor
[Tolo News] Ata Mohammad Noor, the governor of the northern Balkh province, has expressed reactions against the recent comments of the former ISI chief

Mr Noor, in a conference on Friday said Pakistain "does not stop plotting conspiracies against Afghanistan" and is still making efforts to deteriorate security in the country.

He called the recent comments of Gen. Hamid Gul,
... the nutty former head of Pakistain's ISI, now Godfather to Mullah Omar's Talibs and good buddy and consultant to al-Qaeda's high command...
the former chief of Pakistain's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), a direct interference in Afghanistan's internal affairs.
No, they are merely comments. However, the things the retired general does when he isn't commenting do constitute direct interference in Afghanistan's internal affairs.
In an interview with the BBC on Tuesday, Gen. Hamid Gull described the Afgan government as a puppet regime, and his comments sparked severe reactions and criticism by some Afghan authorities.
The retired general has got that wrong, too. It was the previous government, the Taliban one, that was the puppet regime. More specifically, the puppet regime of one General Hamid Gul, then not yet retired. Perhaps this is a sign of increasing senility, in which case it would be kinder not to mention it.
The governor of the northern Balkh province, Ata Mohammad Noor, in reaction to the recent comments of Gen. Hamid Gull, said some high-profile Pak officials are still making efforts to deteriorate the situation in Afghanistan.

"A nation that is divided, a nation that has experienced miseries, a nation that is destroyed, a country that has lost all its national treasures, its roads and hospitals are destroyed, but still they [Pakistain] does not leave this country alone," Mr Noor said pointing out to the recent comments made by Hamid Gull.

Mr Noor expressed regret about some Afghan individuals who he thinks have turned into the puppets of foreigners and are acting according to the wills of Afghanistan's enemies, instead of working for the country's development and prosperity.

'US not after terrorists in Afghanistan'
[Iran Press TV] Afghanistan's Caped President Hamid Maybe I'll join the Taliban Karzai has hinted that the US and its Western allies are not serious enough in hunting down hard boyz in the country.

Karzai made the remarks at the presidential palace in Kabul in a Saturday meeting with visiting Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard.

Australia has 1,500 soldiers in Afghanistan and 21 Australian soldiers have been killed in the country since 2002.

The Afghan president said the security situation in Afghanistan does not improve as the US-led foreign forces have not been targeting the bad boys' main hideouts in the war-torn country, the office of Karzai's front man said in a Sunday statement, a Press TV correspondent reported.

Karzai said on Saturday that the US-led foreign forces were pursuing their own national security interests in Afghanistan.

The Afghan president has recently increased criticism of the US Arclight airstrikes that have caused a large number of civilian casualties.

Hundreds of civilians have lost their lives in US-led Arclight airstrikes and ground operations in various parts of Afghanistan over the past few months.

#1  Karzai has been doing too much Quality Assurance sampling in his country's export trade. Who does he think keeps him in his phoney baloney job?

#3  If Karzai keeps pushing, he might find himself all alone in Kabul, without his foreign muscle to protect him. That is when the warlords will decide which of them gets to be President for awhile. And a big section of the ANA will be involved in king-making this time around - to make sure the goodies keep flowing into their bailiwick.

Geert Wilders to go on trial for inciting racial hatred
A very brave move from the home country of Theo can Gogh and Pim Fortuyn.
he Dutch anti-Islamist MP Geert Wilders is to go on trial in Amsterdam on charges of inciting racial hatred against Muslims. If found guilty, Mr Wilders could face up to a year in jail or a fine of up to 7,600 euros ($10,000). The controversial politician is set to become a shadow partner of the next coalition government. He claims that he has said nothing offensive. Mr Wilders will stand trial on five charges of inciting hatred and discrimination against Muslims, including calling Islam fascist and likening the Koran to Hitler's Mein Kampf. Prosecutors say Mr Wilders committed the offences in his 17-minute film Fitna, which has sparked protests across the Muslim world.
The BBC doesn't remind its readers of Theo can Gogh and Pim Fortuyn, or their fates, natch.

#1  Fitna is just a bunch of Koran readings.

#2  Dutch prosecutors should seriously consider putting The Koran on trial due to the fact that, in hundreds of mosques, during every Friday public sermons, hundreds of Muslim clerics incite hatred by relying on verses from Allah’s instructions to demonize and dehumanize Christian and Jews.

The following Koranic verses are often chanted during the beheading rituals we often see on radical Islamic websites. For the pious Muslim beheading his defenceless hostage, is an act of heroic proportion, because he is slaughtering the Devil incarnated in the human form of an Infidel.
“Satan has gained possession of The People of The Book (Jews and Christians) and caused them to forget Allah’s warnings. They are the confederates of Satan; Satan’s confederates shall assuredly be lost in hell. The Believers are the confederates of Allah (Hizbollah); and Allah’s confederates shall surely triumph”. Koran 58:19
“We will put terror into the hearts of the unbelievers (Jews and Christians). They serve other Gods for whom no sanction has been revealed. Hell shall be their home; dismal indeed is the dwelling place of the evil-doers”. Koran 3:149
“Believers, do not make friends with any men other than your own people. They will spare no pains to corrupt you. They desire nothing but your ruin. Their hatred is clear from what they say, but more violent is the hatred which their breasts conceal”. Koran 3:117

Let us remember always: “The Mahommedan religion increases, instead of lessening, the fury of intolerance. It was originally propagated by the sword, and ever since, its votaries have been subject, above the people of all other creeds, to this form of madness [the madness of intolerance]." Sir Winston Churchill

#3  Wilders would have been put on trial if he had made a movie about Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm.

#6  And Muslim, as followers of Islam, is not a race.

Indeed. And you'd expect that to be the first line of his defence.

Members of a race deserve some basic respect for their humanity, on a par with everyone else's. Members of a cult, like Islam, deserve no such basic respect or deference, even if born into it. So many people find it so hard to separate the hardware from the software.

#7  Dutch prosecutors should seriously consider putting The Koran on trial

The judge previously ruled that the Koran cannot be quoted as defence by MP Wilders. Therefore one can assume it will not be prosecuted in the near future. As for the more distant future, that depends on the result of MP Wilder's trial.

9/11 Mosque 'Like Superman Fortress'
A design`for the controversial Ground Zero mosque in Manhattan is being compared to the "Fortress of Solitude," Superman's futuristic crystalline headquarters of comic book and movie fame. Some of the shapes in the 16-story white honeycomb highrise also appear to resemble the Jewish star of David, but the hexagram is used in Islam in the Seal of Solomon as well, notes the Telegraph. "We want to have a marriage between Islamic architecture and New York City," said developer Sharif el-Gamal. "We want to do something that is green and cool."

Schematics of the proposed building have been posted on the Islamic project's website. Four floors of the proposed Islamic center would be occupied by a fitness and swimming center, while the Muslim prayer center would be on two levels in the basement. The building would also include space for a restaurant, cooking school, auditorium, art studios, exhibition space, and a child care center. Groundbreaking is two to three years away—"hopefully sooner," said el-Gamal.

#1  The design looks to me like a representation of the twin towers, smashed and falling down. New Yorkers are crazy if they allow this to be built. They may be.

I especially like that star on the ground in the fifth picture that everyone will get to walk on. Isn't that the muslim world's biggest insult? Is that a US star or a star of David representation....or a combination of both?

(i.e. " The first was the floor mosaic at the front door to Baghdad's Rashid Hotel depicting the first President Bush. Its location meant visitors to the hotel - frequented by top Baath regime officials and visiting VIPs - had to step on George Bush Snr's likeness, in revenge for alleged "war crimes" committed during the 1991 liberation of Kuwait.")

I personally think Western civ has lost its mind...or its nerve. Very sad.

Iran ready to help nab 9/11 perpetrators
[Iran Press TV] Iran's diminutive President Mahmoud Short Round Ahmadinejad has once again renewed a call for a probe into the 9/11 US terror attacks, insisting that facts about the event must be clearly established.

The US and its allies used the September 11 incident as a pretext to come to the Middle East region and carried out whatever they wanted, President Ahmadinejad said on Sunday.

The Iranian chief executive urged the United States to respond to hundreds of questions that still remain unanswered regarding the 9/11 attacks.

He emphasized that the US started a game in order to "attack our region," adding that Washington seeks to plunder regional assets and dominate the entire region.

President Ahmadinejad urged the United States to identify and execute the rouge elements involved in the 9/11 attacks that killed 3,000 people and declared, "We are ready to help Washington arrest them if it supplies us with the evidence."

He also pointed to US crimes in the region and urged Washington to apologize to the people of Pakistain and Afghanistan for its criminal measures.

The president demanded that the US stop committing crimes and pull out of the region before regional nations drive it out by force.

In his September 22 speech at the UN General Assembly in New York, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad raised serious doubts about the credibility of Washington's account of the source and nature of the attacks implying that a "very powerful and complex terrorist group, able to successfully cross all layers of the American intelligence and security, carried out the attack."

Ahmadinejad said that despite US efforts to establish its own version of events as facts, many throughout the world remain unconvinced and believe that "some segments within the US government orchestrated the attack to reverse the declining American economy and its loosening grips on the Middle East in order to save the Zionist regime [of Israel]."

'Obama backed post-vote unrest in Iran'
[Iran Press TV] A senior Iranian politician says US President Barack B.O. Obama's order to slap sanctions on eight officials of the Islamic Theocratic Republic shows he supported the 'sedition movement' last year.

The sanctions have been slapped on eight bigshots, simply because they fulfilled their legal duties and helped harness the seditious moves and streets riots of last year, Alaeddin Boroujerdi was quoted by IRNA as saying on Sunday.

"Such actions are a clear indication that they are pursuing the policy of meddling in Iran's internal affairs," the chairman of the Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Committee further said.

He said that the punitive measure is in line with sanctions imposed on Iran by the US Congress back in June.

"The sanctions include travel restrictions, the freezing of assets and trading bans on the eight individuals in the US and its allied countries," Boroujerdi underlined.

"The US and British governments as well as the Zionist regime [of Israel] made desperate efforts during the post-election unrest in 2009 but ... this plot was also foiled," the top parliamentarian concluded.
