-Lurid Crime Tales-
Bare-Assed Motorcyclist Charged With Indecent Exposure
One of two motorcyclists who were doing wheelies and other stunts for a videocamera as they rode bare-bottomed along a state highway in Western Maryland has been charged with indecent exposure and three traffic violations.
The Sept. 12 stunt ended when Paul Ray Matlock of Walkersville crashed into a tow truck parked on the side of the road.
"Look Ma, no pants!"
"Hey, y'all! Look what happens when I do this! Ow! Rosebud!"
Monday, police charged the surviving motorcyclist, Brandon Michael Edwards, 21, with reckless driving, negligent driving, and driving with a learner's permit without proper supervision. Edwards is not accused of causing the fatal accident. The charges relate to his own alleged behavior, authorities said. Police said Matlock and Edwards were among seven motorcyclists riding west on the four-lane highway U.S. 340. Trooper David Ward said two vehicles were following the group to block traffic from behind, and a third was traveling next to the stunt riders so a passenger could videotape them. Both men were wearing helmets, shirts and shoes, but neither was wearing pants or underwear, police said. Both were doing wheelies when Matlock lost control of his bike. Frederick County state's attorney Scott Rolle said he believed the incident was inspired by television shows such as MTV's "Jackass" and "Punk'd," which feature videotaped segments of pranks and stunts.

#1  Wouldn't be surprising if Matlock left a skid mark on the motorcycle seat instead of the road surface...

#3  Is this one of those incidents where the participants' last words are likely to be
"Hey! Watch this!!!!"

#4  Yeah, right after, "Here, hold my beer."

#5  Reminds me of that little boy with his new bike:

Hey Mum, now with only one arm!
Hey Mum, now without arms!
Hey Mum, now without teeth!

Enumerators Find Census Too Tiring
Kafah Al-Dakhail, a census supervisor of five enumerators in Deriya district of Riyadh, said that two of the five men quit the group saying the job was too tiring.
"We quit. Too much work."
"Ain't that why they call it a job, Mahmoud?"
Al-Dakhail said that census employees have the right to quit if they did not feel up to it. Two of his employees had left the job after they felt tired and dissatisfied with the reward which they thought was not worth their time and effort.
"I got more important things to do than this..."
The supervisor said that there are many reasons for the enumerators to quit — such as pressure of work, long hours of fieldwork, the nature of the area they work in, and lack of flexibility and the poor financial reward, which is only SR200 per day.

#2  Beer. They oughtta be able to go out for a beer after a long day of censusing. Instead, they get to go to masjid and bang their heads on the floor...
