Nuclear triad is a general term for a country's nuclear-armed strategic armed forces consisting of three components: aviation, intercontinental ballistic missiles and nuclear-powered missile submarines. Such a division ensures that the entire combat-ready nuclear arsenal cannot be destroyed in a surprise attack.
