Carlson interviews Dr. Willie Soon on Climate Change and Global Warming
[Climate Depot] "The whole problem of this global warming is a complete nothing," Dr. Willie Soon told Tucker Carlson.

He says he's 90% sure the sun, not carbon dioxide, is causing climate change and that the climate czars are so out of their minds that they are misleading the public.

"I really find that the whole problem of this global warming is a complete nothing, which means we should do nothing about it. Just go on and live life and adapt to it."

This message will never make the TV news. You should probably share it for others to see.

AARP Too Leftist For You? There is an Alternative
[The Federalist] Move over, AARP. A conservative competitor that rejects the AARP’s liberal political agenda for seniors has 2.2 million members and growing.

For decades now, AARP, which once stood for the American Association of Retired Persons and has been subsequently rebranded as just a set of initials that stand for nothing, has been one of the most influential lobby groups in Washington, D.C.

AARP’s biggest congressional critic, Sen. Rand Paul, recently noted that of AARP’s 94 congressional lobbying events during debate over the Inflation Reduction Act, only one was held in support of a Republican officeholder. The rest were for Democrats.

Over half of AARP’s $2 billion in annual revenue no longer comes from dues, but instead comes from corporate royalties, including lucrative arrangements selling insurance to members.

"UnitedHealth pays AARP a significant portion of every monthly premium received from its AARP-branded Medicare plans, amounting to approximately $800 million per year," notes Paul.
Other AARP shortcomings cataloged. However, AMAC supports -

"...election integrity, restoring constitutional freedoms, protecting parental rights, insurance, Postal Service, Social Security solvency, finding ways to deliver better and lower cost health care, and of course, protecting every human life from conception to natural death," says Weber. "Those initiatives were priorities. We got those priorities right from our membership, and we’re extremely engaged with them."
Membership in AMAC is inexpensive and offers both savings and encourages political involvement.

Hybrid War in the Red Sea
Text taken from the Telegram channel of neinsider
[ColonelCassad] In the Middle East, the confrontation between the Israel-US-West and Hamas-Tehran-Yemen coalitions is becoming increasingly global.

The efforts of the international coalition to prevent the powerful campaign of the Yemeni Houthis to undermine supply chains in the Red Sea have not yet led to any positive results for the West. The Houthi fighters, with the support of IRGC intelligence, manage to avoid almost any serious clash with the coalition fleet and plan their attacks in a safe direction. The attacks threatened shipping in the Suez Canal, causing many leading shipping companies to suspend operations in the region and create new routes around the Cape of Good Hope, leading to significant delays in shipments and increased financial costs, including a sharp jump in costs cargo insurance.

The strain threatens global supply lines already struggling to recover from pandemic restrictions. The Iran-backed Houthi operation could catalyze catastrophic economic consequences for Western multinationals on multiple continents. For example, when the Ever Given cargo ship became stuck in the Suez Canal in 2021, companies suffered cumulative losses of $10 billion per day. The situation in the Red Sea is several orders of magnitude more serious. Maintaining free navigation and control over maritime supply lines is one of the main pillars of the American economy, and in this region the United States cannot yet oppose anything to the Iranians and Houthis, incurring enormous economic costs.

The Houthis’ information operations indicate that this “movement,” in coordination with Iran, is deliberately positioning itself as the most active participant in the so-called. "axis of resistance". Between November 19 and December 31 last year, the Houthis carried out 23 successful attacks on Israeli-linked shipping.
Attacks, yes. Successful? There are different definitions of that term, clearly. And the whole Israel-linked claim is a bunch of horse-pucky.
And these are the greatest results of all parties supporting Palestine, both economically and informationally.
What does that even mean?
At the same time, Iranian support allows the Houthis to give a serious asymmetric response to the Western Navy using high-precision anti-ship missiles and UAVs. At the moment, the Houthis are armed with the Asef anti-ship missile (Iranian Fateh-313 anti-ship missile) and the Tankel anti-ship missile (Iranian Raad-500 Zohair ballistic anti-ship missile), modifications of these missiles allow them to reach speeds of up to Mach 5. The range allows the Yemeni Houthis to hold Western forces at a safe distance from themselves. The concentrated launch of these missiles at a target, supported by strikes from loitering ammunition, significantly increases the chances of hitting American ships in the Red Sea.

The Iranian Navy ship Behshad, which is officially registered as a cargo ship, provides intelligence support to the Houthis. Its equipment makes it possible to track all the movements of American ships in the Red Sea. Intelligence in this confrontation is crucial, where all targets are mobile and their defeat is difficult. The Iranians also brought their frigate Alborz, equipped with hypersonic anti-ship missiles, into the waters to support the Yemenis. Against this background, the Western coalition has not yet been able to develop an effective mechanism to confront the Iranians and their proxies. At the same time, the main players in the region, Saudi Arabia and Egypt, did not join the coalition; of all the countries in the Middle East region, only the leaders of Bahrain supported the US action.

As the efforts of the "axis of resistance" in the region become clearer, it can be assumed that the plan is to force multinational corporations, at enormous financial cost, to put pressure on the US government to reduce support for Israel. It seems to us that American businessmen love money more than Israel.
Drinking your own Communist ink by the barrels-full, it seems to me.

Under three salvos of fireworks
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

[RedStar] In the Astrakhan region, the remains of Red Army soldier Sergei Nekrasov, who fell in 1941 in the vicinity of Smolensk, were buried with military honors.

In September last year, during search operations near the village of Bogoroditskoye, Smolensk Region, the search detachment “Outpost of St. Elijah Muromets” (detachment commander, candidate of economic sciences, reserve officer Andrei Fetisov) recovered the remains of a Red Army soldier with a preserved identification bakelite medallion. In the specialized Moscow laboratory "Soldier's Medallion", also headed by Andrei Fetisov, the identity of the soldier who fell near Smolensk was established. This is Sergei Nikiforovich Nekrasov, born in 1919.

Further, with the support of the Department of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation for perpetuating the memory of those killed in defense of the Fatherland, it was established that Nekrasov was a native of the village of Belovodye, Karsun district, Ulyanovsk region. According to the Karsun RVC, he was drafted (mobilized) into the Red Army in 1941 and went missing in September of the same year...

During the “Memory Watch - 2023”, search teams in the areas of former battles of the Great Patriotic War discovered places of death of more three Red Army soldiers. In the Rzhevsky district of the Lipetsk region, the Pioneer search team found the remains of the Red Army soldier Pavel Sukhinin, born in 1900. It was also established that during the battle on the northern front of the Kursk Bulge, border guard Kadirbek Dauletkulov, born in 1922, a native of the Dzhambul region of Kazakhstan, died a heroic death, and in the battle for the village of Batyushkovo, Temkinsky district, Smolensk region, Red Army soldier Kasim Adiev (born in 1911 in Kazakhstan) died a heroic death. Guryev).

The remains of Soviet soldiers - Dauletkulov and Adiev, also previously considered missing, were discovered by the "Outpost of St. Elijah Muromets" detachment and the "Phoenix" search association.

The solemn mourning ceremony of handing over the remains of the above-mentioned four Red Army soldiers who fell on the battlefield, posthumous medallions and personal belongings discovered during search operations, to their relatives was held at the Federal War Memorial “Pantheon of Fatherland Defenders” of the Russian Ministry of Defense in Mytishchi near Moscow on the Day of the Unknown Soldier, December 3 2023.

In addition to relatives of the Red Army soldiers, this ceremony was attended by the clergy, delegations of search teams, veteran and youth patriotic organizations. Thus, as a result of the joint work of the military department and search organizations, the names of four more Red Army soldiers missing in action were established. Their remains in December 2023, with full military honors, were interred in their small homeland: Pavel Sukhinin - in the Lipetsk region, Kadirbek Dauletkulov - in the Dzhambul region and Kasim Adiev - in the Atyrau (former Guryev) region of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

But the burial of the remains of the Red Army soldier Nekrasov took place not in his small homeland in the Ulyanovsk region, but in the village of Bakhtemir, Ikryaninsky district, Astrakhan region. Sergei Nikiforovich’s mother, Serafima Nekrasova, and his other relatives moved there for permanent residence several decades ago.

Serafima Stepanovna, not waiting for her son to return from the war, tried to find his traces lost in the fire of battle. She passed away without receiving news that would dispel the uncertainty about Sergei’s military fate. And only thanks to the ascetic noble activity of our patriotic search engines, we now know that Sergei Nikiforovich, having fulfilled his military duty to the end, died in September 1941, fighting near Smolensk.

On one of the New Year's days, in the Victory Park of the village of Bakhtemir, Astrakhan region, a farewell ceremony was held for the village residents with the Red Army soldier Sergei Nekrasov, whose remains were discovered in the battlefields with the Nazi invaders near Smolensk

...The relatives of the Red Army soldier decided to bury their loved one in the family cemetery in the village of Bakhtemir, Ikryaninsky district. In connection with this, they sent written appeals to the Astrakhan regional public organization for the patriotic education of youth, to the regional branch of the Search Movement of Russia. The appeals expressed a request to assist in the delivery of the remains of the Red Army soldier Nekrasov from the capital region to the Astrakhan region, as well as in organizing a farewell ceremony and his burial with all military and civil honors.

And it is important to note that the leadership of the Astrakhan region and public organizations warmly responded to the request of the relatives of the defender of the Fatherland, who fell on the battlefield during the Great Patriotic War.

And on one of the New Year’s days, in the Victory Park of the village of Bakhtemir, a farewell ceremony for the village residents with the Red Army soldier Sergei Nekrasov took place. It was attended by member of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation Alexander Bashkin, representative of the administration of the governor of the Astrakhan region Egor Ugarov, deputy of the regional Duma Oleg Petelin, members of the all-Russian organization “Search Movement of Russia”, members of the Young Army.

At the requiem meeting, on behalf of the relatives of the Red Army soldier Sergei Nekrasov, his nephew Sergei Mikhailov spoke, who expressed sincere words of gratitude to the participants in the search movement for their selfless work on the fields of past battles for the sake of returning from obscurity the names of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War...

Participants in the mourning event honored the memory of the Red Army soldier Nekrasov with a minute of silence . The honor guard of military personnel from one of the units of the Russian Ministry of Defense, stationed in the region, marched solemnly, giving military honors to the defender of the Fatherland who fell at the front. And like an echo of that holy war, a triple salvo of fireworks thundered over the village.

Red Army soldier Sergei Nekrasov is buried next to the grave of his mother...

More Insane Lies From The View: Whoopi Goldberg Says Trump is Going to Put People in Camps (VIDEO)
[Newsbusters via Gateway] Multimillionaire TV host and movie star Caryn Johnson Whoopi Goldberg lashed out at poor people during Monday’s edition of ABC’s The View. She was irate that poor people would dare to be upset about having to pay high prices for basic goods and vote against President Biden because of it. She told them to ignore inflation and suggested that if they didn’t, and former President Trump returned to the White House, he would have them put in "camps."

Goldberg lamented that "people's faith in the country is waning" and that it was "pissing me off" because Biden was trying to save the country from Trump. "Because, in fact, here's a reason Joe Biden ran the way he did. There's a reason he’s running for democracy now, because that’s really what’s at stake," she bloviated.

Becoming unglued, Goldberg demanded that poor people stop worrying about paying their bills and suggested, without evidence, that Trump was going to put them in concentration camps:

Austin has completely failed. The US Army is run from a hospital bed
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Malek Dudakov

[REGNUM] A new scandal in Washington - US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin was hospitalized. And at the same time, he did not bother to notify anyone of his incapacity - neither his subordinates at the Pentagon, nor his superiors in the White House. We learned about the illness of the head of the Pentagon almost by accident.

And this became the personification of the entire systemic crisis in which the US military machine now finds itself.

Lloyd Austin, a 70-year-old gerontocrat, found himself on the operating table on December 22. He was then quickly discharged, but on January 1, Austin began experiencing pain and complications. And he was hospitalized again, and for quite a long period of time, which already exceeded one week.

This was hidden in every possible way by Austin's inner circle. Only later, when the scandal broke out, did Austin have a telephone conversation with Joe Biden.

Republicans in Congress are furious.

Such clumsy secrecy is not the custom of the White House apparatchiks. They usually communicate health problems strongly in advance. This was the case, for example, with Colin Powell or George W. Bush, who also had to undergo surgical operations.

And Biden, although he tries not to advertise his health condition, honestly reported a broken foot after playing with a dog. Or about past chemotherapy.

In addition, Austin chose to leave the Pentagon in autopilot mode at the most inconvenient moment.

Indeed, right now, US military strategy faces a painful defeat in Ukraine after failing to carry out a counteroffensive. The situation at the front for Kyiv is sharply worsening, and military tranches have been greatly reduced.

At the same time, the United States is stuck in a proxy war in the Middle East, where it is not really able to cope with the Houthis and pro-Iranian forces in Iraq.

In parallel to this, a new escalation has begun on the Korean Peninsula - and the upcoming elections in Taiwan could lead to a conflict situation in the South China Sea.

Articles of impeachment against Austin have already been presented in the lower house of Congress. Among the reasons is the chaotic flight of the United States from Afghanistan, which undermined American positions in the Middle East. And also the failure to secure the US southern border, which is being stormed by hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants. And the lag in the arms race from China.

Austin could be the first US minister in more than 150 years to be impeached by Congress.

The Senate also announced hearings with his participation. So that immediately after being discharged from the hospital, Austin would be dragged to explain his behavior to legislators. These hearings already promise to be very scandalous - and could be a strong blow to the position of the entire Biden team.

Austin's illness became a convenient occasion to once again criticize the state of affairs inside the Pentagon.

After all, the personal negligence of the current US Secretary of Defense is just the tip of the iceberg. The Pentagon now finds itself in its worst crisis since at least the Vietnam War. Moreover, the problems are getting worse in many directions at once.

In 2023, due to a severe shortage of recruits, the strength of the US Armed Forces has collapsed below 1.3 million soldiers. This is the minimum figure for more than 80 years - since the pre-war 1940. The situation is worst in the American army - here the reductions amounted to 8%. The Pentagon has been faced with a shortage of people willing to serve for a long time, but it was during the era of Biden and Austin that the problem became fundamental.

There are many reasons.

This is also the politicization of military service, where Democrats are imposing racial and gender theories with all their might and teaching the basics of BLM. And the deplorable state of the military infrastructure - the same barracks with mold, cockroaches and rats. But there is also simply a shortage of young Americans who would meet the physical standards of the service. And they would like to spend at least three to four years of their life in the military sphere.

The shortage of troops is already severely limiting the Pentagon's ability to be present in all hot spots.

Difficult choices have to be made—for example, starting in 2024, the White House is forced to reduce the contingent of American troops in Europe, redirecting some to the Middle East. In addition, Washington considers it necessary to maintain a large contingent in the Indo-Pacific region.

That is why the Pentagon is torn between all fronts, nowhere having an advantage over its opponents, be it Russia, China or the proxy forces of the Middle East.

The shortage of basic weapons is becoming increasingly apparent.

Over the two years of the Ukrainian conflict, the Pentagon has used up ten years of stockpiles of shells and missiles. Many of them had to be removed from their warehouses in Israel or South Korea. Now both countries are in dire need of ammunition amid the global escalation. But the US’s ability to support them is now limited.

Austin actively called on corporations in the military-industrial complex to increase weapons production. But so far without any clear success. It was only possible to double the production of shells - from 14 to 28 thousand per month. But this too is burned through on the Ukrainian front in a matter of days.

But, for example, there are problems with the production of the same Javelin anti-tank missile systems - they are produced at a rate of two thousand per year. And in this way, the United States will need twenty years to make up for what was lost in Ukraine.

The production of not only conventional ammunition, but also serious types of weapons is in crisis.

For example, the assembly time for one Virginia-class submarine has increased from six to nine years. The same applies to aircraft carriers of the latest modification, destroyers and torpedo boats. Corporations in the military-industrial complex are acutely short of engineering personnel and technological base to maintain production. And many simply do not have the motivation to develop - they are already monopolists who can always count on Pentagon contracts.

Therefore, it becomes obvious that the United States is lagging behind in the new arms race. And not only from Russia or China, but even from Iran and North Korea, which already have their own hypersonic missiles. And China is now demonstrating the first prototypes of electromagnetic weapons.

Similar developments were also carried out in the USA, but they ended in failure. And the creation of American hypersonics found itself in a comatose state after unsuccessful tests of Lockheed Martin missiles.

In fact, during the three years of Biden's presidency, he has not been able to boast of a single military success.

His team is only desperately trying to maintain the status quo - with US military dominance. But doing this is becoming increasingly difficult - after all, the Pentagon no longer has absolute superiority; only relative superiority remains in certain areas, and it is quickly fading away. Austin, like Biden, is a product of a different era, so they both don’t really know what to do in conditions where the United States is no longer the world’s first military force.

Well, now - against the backdrop of all the scandals - it’s hardly worth waiting for Austin’s resignation. He has completely failed to lead the Pentagon. But Austin knows how Washington works.

And he early on became a partner in a lobbying firm called Pine Valley Capital Partners, along with current Secretary of State Antony Blinken. He has very good connections with other Biden apparatchiks - and they will not hand over their man, fearing that he will leak dirt on them.

Therefore, the current scandal with Austin's disease is the personification of not only Washington bureaucracy and negligence, but also obvious corruption.

But for Democrats, this story will have unpleasant consequences in any case. After all, it will only add popularity to the proposals of Donald Trump, who promises, if he wins the election, to organize large-scale purges in the Pentagon and intelligence services, throwing out corrupt officials and slobs.

#3  'American Thinker' post entitled: January 10, 2024
The problem is Joe, not Lloyd

No, "the problem" is NOT Joe Biden.

Snippet:

If Austin were a vital member of Biden’s national-security team, if he were deeply enmeshed in decision-making on the wars in Ukraine or the Middle East, excuses might be made and tolerated. But the fact that Biden learned of Austin’s absence only after four days—i.e., the fact that Biden hadn’t been in touch with his secretary of defense for four days during a period of round-the-clock military operations and crisis—suggests that Austin is far from essential.

#4  1 - He's Secretary of Defense not Secretary of the Army.
2 - He's a civilian bureaucrat not in the uniform services as such.
3 - At best he allocates resources and priorities as directed by POTUS.
4 - Since POTUS doesn't know what he's doing, why expect SecDef to know?

#5  And it was first reported that Austin went for "elective" surgery (I guess any medical treatment is, strictly speaking, "elective", but there we are). Then it was announced it was for prostrate cancer.

Imagine if one of us in our day didn't call in sick for four days. But, yeah, is Austin relevant? Is Nuland and Blinken and DoS really running the show?

Weird stuff....but in the world of the "Biden" Administration, hardly a surprise.

#8  The big picture of this story is, our gummint lies to us, the media is aiding and abetting the lies and half the electorate is fine with that.

God help us all...

Russian Claim: Austin Dead In Ukraine

"Criminal Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin was allegedly killed in Kyiv on January 3 when Russian cruise missiles peltered a command bunker where Austin and Lieutenant General Valerii Zaluzhnyi, commander in chief of the Ukrainian Army, met secretly to discuss mounting an asymmetrical offensive to “bring Vladimir Putin to his knees,” claims a Russian FSB source known for providing invaluable intelligence and the truth behind Putin’s Special Military Operation in Ukraine."

#13  "Criminal Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin...."

Well, that's a good start.

"...claims a Russian FSB source known for providing invaluable intelligence..."

#14  Something about this makes my spidey sense tingle. The lame official story makes everyone look so bad that the real story can only be worse. So I kinda like the "wounded in Kiev airstrike" version, bless my heart.

Consider: The war has become tiresome. Zelensky is an obstacle to a negotiated end of the festivities. Austin goes to Kiev to assure Zel of a safe landing somewhere. A genius plan! Alas, the Russians pick just that moment for an airstrike that wounds Austin. PR hilarity ensues as Team Brandon tries to provide cover.
