Here's something you don't see every day, with video goodness...
[Turtleboy Sports] - If you haven’t seen the video of the acrobat falling off "wheel of death" at the Barnstable Fairgounds in Falmouth, you’re gonna wanna brace yourself before hitting the play button, because it’s not for the faint of heart. Don’t worry, I wouldn’t be showing you the video if he was dead.
[Townhall] Three weeks after Fox News host Tucker Carlson accused the National Security Agency of reading his communications, the agency has confirmed he was unmasked.
"The nation’s top electronic spy agency found that Carlson was mentioned in communications between third parties and his name was subsequently revealed through 'unmasking,' a process in which relevant government officials can request the identities of American citizens in intelligence reports to be divulged provided there is an official reason, such as helping them make sense of the intelligence documents they are reviewing," the Record reports.
"For the NSA to unmask Tucker Carlson or any journalist attempting to secure a newsworthy interview is entirely unacceptable and raises serious questions about their activities as well as their original denial, which was wildly misleading," a Fox News spokesman released in a statement about the developments.
Yes - Joe Biden personally unmasked General Flynn and now someone? in Biden administration unmasked Tucker Carlson.

How it once worked: An NSA intercept consideredof value by the NSA is circulated through the intel community. An analyst wants to know the name or names of American subjects redacted in same. A request is sent to NSA. A committee in NSA reviews in minute detail the request. The name or names may or may not be given, but the person who requests the name is known and had to jump through hoops to get it. On the other hand, a NSA intercept is reviewed in-house, and the name of an American citizen and the intercept is leaked (it doesn't matter by whom or to whom), the actor is subject to dismissal and prosecution. The reason that prosecution so rarely occurs is because the intercept is explosive and its revelation considered to damage national security. In the case of Tucker Carlson, that is absurd and the leaker should be prosecuted.

Congressman Jackson is talking about how it ought to play out, were President Biden and those around him honourable men and women who want the country to be well governed. Given that neither the president nor his people are in any way honourable, and running the country well was never on their agenda. I would not be shocked if Joe Biden is propped up to shake the hand of whoever is elected to succeed him in 2024.

^"I'd always liked Robert Thompson's idea of avoiding compromise, of letting the person with the strong convictions have his own way... and then I realized that encouraged people to have strong convictions when they don't have enough data." - Slovotsky's Laws
[Epoch Times] Sens. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) have sent a letter to the Department of Justice (DOJ) requesting more information about missing cellphones that were used by then-special counsel Robert Mueller during his investigation into former President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign. Check Hillary's closet.
In a statement, the senators said they were compelled to send the letter (pdf) after the DOJ failed to review more than 20 phones for record preservation after Grassley in September 2020 asked about a possible violation of federal record-keeping laws, following a Freedom of Information Act revelation showing records on devices used by Mueller’s team had been deleted.
The DOJ’s Office of the Inspector General in September 2020, the senators wrote, told them that several phones belonging to "multiple people on then-Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigative team were ’wiped’ for various reasons during [the Russia investigation]." Meanwhile, on May 11, the inspector general said 59 of 96 phones assigned to Mueller’s team couldn’t be located, according to the senators. Various reasons? Including, like, with a cloth?
Relating to the phones, the two senators are seeking the names of the special counsel's office team members whose cellphones weren't reviewed by officials, if there are any actions being taken to recover the missing phones, and whether the DOJ reviewed the devices to see if "they were used to leak sensitive or classified information," among other requests.

[NY Post] Also: Biden DOJ Will Not Investigate Gretchen Whitmer Nursing Home Deaths. Gotta cover up for the Democrat governors' wholesale pushing grandma off the Covid cliff.
The Department of Justice has decided not to investigate whether the civil rights of residents in New York’s government-run nursing homes were violated by Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s controversial admission policy related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a letter Friday, the DOJ’s Office of Legislative Affairs told US Rep. Steve Scalise (R-La.), ranking member of that House Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis, that New York was off the hook in connection with potential violations of the Civil Rights of Institutionalized Persons Act.
In August, the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division requested information from New York in connection with a March 25, 2020, order from the state Department of Health that required nursing homes to admit "medically stable" COVID-19 patients discharged from hospitals.
It also sought records from Pennsylvania, Michigan and New Jersey, which adopted similar rules that the DOJ said "may have resulted in the deaths of thousands of elderly nursing home residents."
"We have reviewed the information provided by these states along with additional information available to the Department," Deputy Assistant Attorney General Joe Gaeta wrote Friday.
"Based on that review, we have decided not to open a CRIPA investigation of any public nursing facility within New York, Pennsylvania, or Michigan at this time."
"Spotty track record:" That's when lots of US Citizens suddenly get dead.
[Just The News] For weeks following the January 6 Capitol breach, the FBI encouraged anyone believing they could identify a member of the Capitol mob to share the information with the bureau. In the past six months, dozens of participants in the riot have been turned in to the FBI by friends, neighbors, and family members. The Washington Post has detailed accounts of adult children who reported their parents and neighbors who called in faces they recognized, just days after the episode.
In early July, the FBI's official Twitter account sent out a message encouraging "family members and peers" of potentially violent extremists, to learn "how to spot suspicious behaviors and report them to the #FBI." While the FBI continues its aggressive pursuit of members of the January 6 mob based on tips provided by civilians and loved ones — the bureau has not always been so assiduous in soliciting or following up often critical tips about potential violent extremists from informants, allies, and members of the broader community.
Here are five notorious examples of FBI failure to follow through on tips about potentially violent extremists and gunmen:
Skipping down to #3 and one of the more flagrant examples:
3. The 2013 Boston Marathon bombing: In 2011, Russian authorities warned the FBI about Tamerlan Tsarnev, one of the two Chechen brothers who carried out the bombing that killed three people and wounded more than 260.
Authorities missed chances to detain Tsarnev, despite reports that the Russian intelligence agency FSB had contacted the FBI more than a year prior to the bombing, to warn that Tsarnev had known associations with militant Islamic radicals.
A report from NBC News found that the FBI had opened an investigation of Tsarnev, that he was interviewed in person, and that a memo was sent to the Customs and Border Protection database that would, in theory, trigger a notification when he left or reentered the country. The FBI closed the investigation in June 2011, though the FSB continued to warn U.S. intelligence agencies.

Waiving off the arrest and detention? Yes, it happens.
What are you going to do in court when the 'detainee' informs the court he is actually a US Intelligence source and can potentially provide financial, video, or audio proof? Bad juju all around.
This can be a deadly game. If sources are not aggressively monitored, and they turn out to be doubles agents or change their loyalties, you have no one to blame but yourself.

The “Great Writ” of habeas corpus is a fundamental right in the Constitution that protects against unlawful and indefinite imprisonment. Translated from Latin it means “show me the body.” Habeas corpus has historically been an important instrument to safeguard individual freedom against arbitrary executive power.
Seems like this fundamental right has been suspended/ignored.

[IsraelTimes] Israeli military says it’s aware of report but can neither confirm nor deny; Paleostinian Red Islamic Thingy says 21 were maimed by live fire in separate protest near Israeli outpost
A Paleostinian teenager was shot and killed by live fire during festivities with the IDF near his hometown of Nabi Saleh,
...village near Ramallah in the West Bank that is home to the infamous al-Tamimi clan. For several generations the al-Tamimis have waged war, both kinetic and propaganda as opportunity and individual temperament require, against Israel’s Jews. Various members have appeared in the Rantburg archives acting for Fatah, Hamas, and the PLO in general: among many others, blond haired, blue eyed Ahed Tamimi used to regularly join her brother and cousins in slapping and screaming at IDF soldiers in an attempt create a photogenic incident; a younger cousin, Janna Jihad Ayyad started vlogging her created adventures after her father moved the family back from Florida a few years ago; Ahed’s papa, Bassem Tamimi travelled the world for Fatah and the PLO, lecturing on Palestinian purity and Israeli evil; Jordan continues to refuse to extradite to America cousin Ahlam Tamimi and her Tamimi clan husband for their part in the Hamas/Palestinian Islamic Jihad murder of an American at a pizzaria in 2001...
the Paleostinian Authority Health Ministry said Friday night.
Paliwood dead or really truly dead? So often those reported dead in that part of the world get off the stretcher and walk home after the cameras are turned off...
The IDF did not immediately confirm the claim, although several other festivities were known to have taken place across the West Bank on Friday.

[EpochTimes] Authorities in Texas have begun arresting illegal immigrants colonists along the U.S.-Mexico border on trespassing charges, according to Texas Gov. Greg Abbott ... governor of Texas. Abbott is a Republican. His 2014 Dem opponent, state senatrix Wendy Davis, thought the absolute, most pressing, most important issue facing the state was abortion. Abbott beat the pantyhose off her. His 2018 opponent, Lupe Valdez didn't dwell too heavily on abortion, but she lost too... , who has blamed the Biden administration (aka the Wilmington comorra) ...knaves, footpads, and adjusters employed by the Biden Crime Family. They leave a trail of havoc everywhere they turn their attention, be it the nation's borders, the Keystone XL Pipeline, or epidemics, sometimes on purpose, most times through sheer arrogant ineptitude. They learnt this stuff in college, you know... for the surge in illegal immigration and has put in motion his own border security plan to crack down on illegal crossings.
"Texas has begun arresting illegal immigrants colonists who are trespassing in Texas or vandalizing property & fences. They are now being sent to this jail rather than being released like the Biden Admin. has been doing. We are adding more officers, National Guard & jails," Abbott said in a tweet Thursday.
So far, at least 10 people have been jugged Book 'im, Mahmoud! , with more on the way, authorities said Thursday. The detainees are being held at what had been an empty state prison in Dilley, Texas, about 100 miles north of the border city of Laredo, according to Robert Hurst, a front man for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. The converted facility will be able to hold more than 950 people, he said.
Val Verde County Attorney David Martinez said that all of those arrested so far have been single adult men. He said he had been advised last week that the number of arrests of illegal immigrants colonists could rise to as many as 100 to 200 per day.
The arrests put in motion plans that Abbott first announced in June, when he hosted a Border Security Summit in Del Rio, during which he said individuals who enter Texas illegally would be subject to arrest for trespassing.
"President Joe Biden ...... 46th president of the U.S. We hold these truths to be self-evident. All men and women created ... by the — you know — you know, the thing...... ’s open-border policies have led to a humanitarian crisis at our southern border as record levels of illegal immigrants colonists, drugs, and contraband pour into Texas," Abbott said in a June 10 statement. "While securing the border is the federal government’s responsibility, Texas will not sit idly by as this crisis grows. The state is working collaboratively with communities impacted by the crisis to arrest and detain individuals coming into Texas illegally."
During the summit, Abbott said he had directed the Texas Commission on Jail Standards and the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement to work with counties to establish alternative detention facilities to ensure enough jail capacity to house illegal immigrants colonists arrested for trespassing.

[ToloNews] Russia has sent military equipment to border areas between Tajikistan and Afghanistan to prevent possible threats originating from the country.
The rest of the article is uninteresting, but no doubt in time it will be revealed if this is for the early-August military exercise with Uzbekistan and Tajikistan to prepare for possible problems from the Taliban or other Al Qaeda linked groups based in northern Afghanistan, or if this is intended to be more permanent.
[DW] The defendant was diagnosed with schizophrenia and had admitted to carrying out attacks against Ottoman Turkish businesses in Germany. He was found guilty of arson and 31 counts of attempted murder.
A German court on Friday sentenced a supporter of the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... (IS) group to 9 1/2 years in prison. However, if you can't say something nice about a person some juicy gossip will go well... it committed him to psychiatric detention over a series of arson attacks, finding the defendant suffered from schizophrenia.
The accused, identified as German citizen of Kurdish descent, Muharrem D., had admitted to carrying out attacks against Ottoman Turkish businesses and a mosque in the Bavarian town of Waldkraiburg in April 2020.
The attacks were originally attributed to Germany’s far right, which is no doubt why neither miscreant nor town are found in Rantburg’s archives.
The most notable act was an arson attack on a Ottoman Turkish supermarket, which was completely destroyed, also endangering the lives of the 26 residents of the apartment complex above the shop.
He had also targeted a hair salon, kebab shop, pizzeria and a local mosque.
Although no lives were lost, four people suffered from smoke inhalation during the supermarket fire.
The higher regional court in Munich found the 27-year-old guilty of serious arson, 31 counts of attempted murder and of planning further attacks with a gun and explosives.
A KURDISH 'ISLAMIC STATE FIGHTER'?
The case attracted attention in part because Kurdish populations were best known for leading the fight against the so-called Islamic State in northern Iraq and Syria, while the Kurdish German defendant identified himself as an IS supporter.
There have been plenty of Kurds in ISIS. Some put religion over ethnicity.
Schizophrenia had played a role in fueling the attacks last year, presiding judge Jochen Boesl told the Munich Higher Regional Court on Friday.
"Without the schizophrenia, the attacks by the accused would have been unthinkable," said Judge Jochen Boesl. But they also not have happened without the accused's rapid "Islamist-jihadist" radicalization, the judge said.
The defendant had radicalized himself in a very short time and had come to have a "pronounced jihadist world view." This had manifested itself primarily in the form of a "hatred of Turks," the judge said.
"He saw himself as an IS fighter," said Boesl. "He has seen Sharia law as the only legitimate basis for coexistence." The judge said the convicted man had "developed a bizarre-seeming private ideology or private religion" whose central component had been a hatred of all Ottoman Turkish people. Although Kurdish people hope for an independent state made up of territory spanning several countries, their conflict with authorities in The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor... is probably the most renowned.
Muharrem D. was arrested in May of last year, for the crimes which shook the Ottoman Turkish community in Waldkraiburg. He admitted during his trial that he had planned to attack other mosques, along with the Ottoman Turkish consulate in Munich.
[Breitbart] Many of the deported migrants who are now getting special invites to re-enter the U.S. are so poor they need government aid for housing and healthcare, according to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
The admission came in a July 19 statement to progressive contractors who want to be paid for wrapping the poor and unskilled migrants in the taxpayer-funded federal welfare system. The DHS statement said:
When appropriate, the Contractor shall collaborate with other providers, contractors, and stakeholders to help ensure a “wraparound” approach to services. Services include but are not limited to: housing, primary health care, nutrition assistance, legal assistance, immigration and travel processes.

All the 'parents' of unaccompanied children should be charged, sentenced and jailed for recklesschild endangerment and abuse. Followed by deportation with prejudice -- no green card, no citizenship, no Visa for the rest of their lives.
[ToloNews] A Taliban ...Arabic for students... front man has said they don’t want to monopolize power but insisted that there won’t be peace in Afghanistan until there is a new negotiated government in Kabul and President Ashraf Ghani ...former chancellor of Kabul University, now president of Afghanistan. Before returning to Afghanistan in 2002 he was a scholar of political science and anthropology. He worked at the World Bank working on international development assistance. As Finance Minister of Afghanistan between July 2002 and December 2004, he led Afghanistan's attempted economic recovery until the Karzais stole all the money... is removed.
In an interview with The News Agency that Dare Not be Named, Suhail Shaheen, Taliban front man and a member of the group’s negotiating team, said the Taliban will lay down their weapons when a negotiated government acceptable to all sides in the conflict is installed in Kabul and Ghani’s government is gone.
"I want to make it clear that we do not believe in the monopoly of power because any governments who (sought) to monopolize power in Afghanistan in the past, were not successful governments," said Shaheen in the interview.
"So we do not want to repeat that same formula."
He called the talks a good beginning but said the government’s repeated demands for a ceasefire while Ghani stayed in power were tantamount to demanding a Taliban surrender.
"They don’t want reconciliation, but they want surrendering," he said.
Before any ceasefire, there must be an agreement on a new government "acceptable to us and to other Afghans," he said in the AP interview. Then "there will be no war."
The usual Talib lies follow:
Shaheen said under this new government, women will be allowed to work, go to school, and participate in politics, but will have to wear the hijab, or headscarf.
He said women won’t be required to have a male relative with them to leave their home, and that Taliban commanders in newly occupied districts have orders that universities, schools and markets operate as before, including with the participation of women and girls.
Shaheen said some Taliban commanders had ignored the leadership's orders against repressive and drastic behavior and that several have been put before a Taliban military tribunal and punished, though he did provide specifics.
He contended the video was fake, a splicing of separate footage.
He said there are no plans to make a military push on Kabul and that the Taliban have so far "restrained" themselves from taking scenic provincial capitals.
But he warned they could, given the weapons and equipment they have acquired in newly captured districts.
He contended that the majority of the Taliban's battlefield successes came through negotiations, not fighting.
"Those districts which have fallen to us and the military forces who have joined us ... were through mediation of the people, through talks," he said. "They (did not fall) through fighting ... it would have been very hard for us to take 194 districts in just eight weeks."
This comes as US Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin on Wednesday said that the withdrawal of American troops will finish by end of August.
Meanwhile, ...back at the wreckage, Captain Poindexter awoke groggily, his hand still stuck in the Ming vase... Gen. Mark Milley said that all the military operating bases outside of Kabul have been fully transferred to the Afghan Ministry of Defense and the Afghan cops.
[ToloNews] Two politicians and military experts on Friday raised their deep apprehensions over the Taliban ...Arabic for students... ’s continued advances in various regions of the country, saying there has been no change on the ground despite the recent reshuffles in the country’s security entities.
A month ago, President Ashraf Ghani ...former chancellor of Kabul University, now president of Afghanistan. Before returning to Afghanistan in 2002 he was a scholar of political science and anthropology. He worked at the World Bank working on international development assistance. As Finance Minister of Afghanistan between July 2002 and December 2004, he led Afghanistan's attempted economic recovery until the Karzais stole all the money... announced the appointment of Gen. Bismillah Mohammadi as acting minister of defense, Gen. Abdul Sattar Mirzakwal as acting minister of interior and Gen. Mohammad Wali Ahmadzai as Chief of Army Staff.
MPs argued that 70 districts, 6 customs and border towns were fallen to the Taliban since the appointment of new security chiefs over the last month.
"It would be quite difficult for them (new security officials) to bring a sudden change. These discussions should have started at least one year or one and half years ago," said Rahmatullah Nabil, the former head of the NDS.
"There has been no positive change on the ground with the arrival of these officials due to the large intensity of the war," said MP Mir Haidar Afzali.
Military experts said there is a need for unity and better coordination within the nation’s security agencies and in the leadership level to fix the fragile security situation.
But officials from the Ministry of Interior Affairs and the Ministry of Defense said security forces managed to retake 20 districts from the Taliban since the appointment of the acting defense and interior minister and that there were better mobilization of forces in the fight against the holy warriors.
"They suddenly started fighting in 400 points across the country. In some cases, there were negligence or issues weren’t addressed and then there were some tactical retreats," said Abdul Sattar Mirzakwal, acting minister of interior.
"We tried to remobilize and support. We have identified the priorities, we will use all available resources to defend the people, the cities and the districts where we are deployed now," said Mohammadi.
Afghanistan is hideously moslem to its core. The government can only recruit Afghans not Danes or Japs can they?
When half of your force is ideologically inseparable from the what the Taliban stands for, and the other half are corrupt and selfishly motivated, what is the point of fighting? When all of your society leans towards the same ideas and rationales, what do the AFG forces really fight for? Freedom from shariah? They already have shariah!Self determination? The moslemness of AFG's liberals in only a thin line of intensity away from full sasquatch anyway.
There are only a thousand or less christians in Afghanistan and they have to hide in attics and tunnels to pray.
I'll tell you what the fight is for. The bid was to try and establish a foreign funded socialist utopia for Afghan bureaucrats, politicians and officials. A parliament of men posturing as 'moderate islamics' for the west to leech as much moolah as neighboring Pakistain has from the world banks for 'development'. A gravy train, that sweet goose that every third world leadership so desires. Every penny of that anyway was going to go into secret accounts and property in islam infested liberal countries, or in go-bags for when the next violent coup occurs. Because it woulda remained an islamic nation in either case, don't forget that.
The Taliban had seen the extent of western civilizational confidence after 9/11 already and they chose to reign in their hell rather than serve in some promised socialist heaven. Imagine their morale when friends of Bin Laden sat across the tables from Washington officials at Doha. We in the east knew they had won even then.
Pakistain fueled and aided their madness, aiming to control them later to extort China long term, piggybacking on others' muscle and interests to fund their own jihad in Asia and the EU.
Almost everyone in Asia who knows moslems and moslemness sees this, and most in the ⭔ know too, but will not say it out loud. What their grand vision was, why they chose to burn trillions of their citizens' dollars in a foregone conflict, I suppose no one will ever know.

Two militants were killed in a gunfight with the security forces in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, police said today.
A police spokesman said the gunfight broke out last night after the Police, 22RR and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Warpora area following a specific information generated by Srinagar Police about presence of militants in Warpora village of Sopore.
"During the search operation as the presence of terrorists got ascertained they were given repeated opportunities to surrender. However, instead of surrendering they fired indiscriminately upon the joint search party which was retaliated leading to an encounter," he said, in a statement.

However after his release, in March-2020 he again joined terrorist ranks of proscribed terror outfit LeT," said the spokesman.
"Besides, being part of groups involved in several terror crime cases, he was very instrumental in planning and executing terror attacks on security establishments and civilian killings and figured among the list of most wanted terrorists in North Kashmir."
"He was the last active terrorist who perpetrated a series of various terror crimes and violence in North Kashmir which included attack on Police party at Warpora Sopore on 04/03/2020 in which one police personnel and a civilian got killed, attack on Joint Naka party at Ahad Baba crossing on 18/04/2020 in which 03 CRPF personnel got killed, killing of one civilian namely Danish Manzoor Najar resident of Eidipora Bomai, attack on joint Naka party of Police & CRPF at Model Town Sopore in which 01 civilian namely Bashir Ahmad Khan resident of HMT Srinagar and a CRPF personnel got killed, firing upon Municipal councillors at Lone Mohalla Building near SDH Sopore on 12/06/2021 in which 02 Municipal councillors and a police personnel were killed, killing of two police personnel and two civilians at Main Chowk Sopore."

Incriminating materials, arms and ammunition including 02 AK-47 rifles, 04 Magazines were recovered from the site of encounter. All the recovered materials have been taken into case records for further investigation and to probe their complicity in other terror crimes.
[NYPOST] A woman was arrested Thursday for an alleged hate-driven, anti-Asian assault spree that left four people injured over the course of several months in Queens, police said.
Maricia Bell, 25, is accused of attacking three women — ages 75, 63 and 34 — and a 23-year-old man in four separate incidents in the borough beginning May 23, according to police.
In the first attack, Bell allegedly yelled, "Why are you talking to me?" before punching the man in a Flushing parking lot on Kissena Boulevard, cops said.
Bell allegedly committed a similar assault against the 34-year-old woman inside a Pomonok bodega at about 6:40 p.m. June 16, according to police.
At about 8 p.m. July 11, Bell is accused of slugging the 63-year-old woman in the face as the victim was walking near 72nd Avenue and Parsons Boulevard, according to police.
In the latest incident, Bell allegedly whacked the 75-year-old woman with a hammer at 71st Avenue and Parsons Boulevard at about 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, authorities said.
Bell was hit with several hate crime charges, including assault, harassment and robbery, police said.
She has five prior arrests, sources said, including one on March 29 in which she was charged with assault as a hate crime.

[DW] The US-made aircraft were formally sold under the Trump administration in 2017. Nigeria wants the 12 attack planes to battle an Islamist insurgency; bandidosholy warriors downed one of its jets this week.
Nigeria's air force said on Friday that it has received six US attack aircraft as part of the country's drive to crack down on jihadist krazed killers.
"The batch of A-29 Super Tucanos aircraft have arrived in Kano today," air force front man Edward Gabkwet said.
The Nigerian government signed the deal to buy a total of 12 of the Brazilian-developed planes manufactured in the US in August 2017 under the Trump administration.
The propeller-driven planes, which have reconnaissance, surveillance and attack capabilities, were built in Florida by Brazil’s Embraer and the private US firm, the Sierra Nevada Corporation.
That pact also includes the supply of ammunition, training and aircraft maintenance believed to be worth more than $500 million.
The contract had been set to go through in May 2016 but the then-president, Barack Obama They get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them... , froze the deal after the Nigerian army accidentally bombed a camp for displaced people, killing 112 civilians.
WHAT HAS BEEN HAPPENING IN NIGERIA?
An insurgency led by Boko Haram ... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality... and rival offshoot Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. West Africa Province has killed at least 40,000 people and displaced more than two million.
Fighting has also spread to parts of neighboring Chad, Cameroon ...a long, narrow country that fills the space between Nigeria and Chad on the northeast, CAR to the southeast. Prior to incursions by Boko Haram nothing ever happened there... and Niger, forcing the nations to form a regional military coalition to fight the jihadists.
Nigeria is increasingly reliant on aircraft for operations above areas where its ground troops do not dare tread. On Sunday, the air force confirmed that it lost an Alpha Jet after criminal gangs fired at it in Zamfara state in the northwest of the country. Nigeria's top general died in a plane crash in bad weather in May.
Brazil already uses the Super Tucano for border patrols, while the armies of Afghanistan, Colombia and Indonesia are also customers.
The US Air Force described the A-29 aircraft as a "game-changer" when they were deployed in Afghanistan in 2016.
They can be armed with two wing-mounted machine guns and can carry up to 1,550 kg of weapons.

What better alternative exists for that task? Can stay airborne at low speed, carry a solid ground support armament, protective armor for the pilot, easier to maintain than helicopters, operates off less than 1 km strip. Seriously, seems like we mostly use helicopters for the purpose but should the Nigerians?

Last year Trump offered to send federal officers to restore order to Portland's streets, and the city officials had a hissy fit, like this one by the mayor. Now the feds are most welcome, 'cause it's different when they do it.
[OregonLive] FBI agents will pair up with officers in the Portland police Enhanced Community Safety Team to provide more coverage in downtown Friday and Saturday nights in the wake of a mass shooting that killed an 18-year-old and wounded six others last Saturday.
The weekend also marks the kickoff of a formal grand reopening of the city center after a year of upheaval.
Police plan to pull officers from their North and East precincts to bolster Central Precinct patrols in the downtown core, provide more overtime for the increased coverage and have FBI agents ride-along with certain officers. Of course, if I were a Portland cop riding along with a Famous But Incompetent agent, I'd be thinking entrapment the whole way. "Yes, I'm all in favor of Critical Race Theory. Have it with my coffee every morning, I do. Did the mike pick that up? And Ashli Babbitt committed suicide."
[FOX9] As politicians continue to call for his resignation, Minnesota Rep. John Thompson (DFL-St.- Paul) has questioned the authenticity of domestic assault police reports, but photos provided Thursday by the Eagan Police Department appear to show Thompson in a 2004 case. Those photos show minor injuries sustained by Thompson and his then-girlfriend, whom he married in 2020. They also show a broken table and two telephones Thompson allegedly disabled as she tried to call 911.
According to the police reports, on August 9, 2004, Eagan police were investigating a 911 hang-up call from an apartment complex on Golfview Drive.
Thompson’s girlfriend told police he punched her in the face and choked her in the presence of three children. She identified Thompson running from the apartment.
Police officers noticed she was shaking and had several bruises on her body, which they photographed.
She told police the trouble began the previous day at a community pool, when Thompson berated her 5-year-old daughter, calling the girl a "f—-ing bitch," a "little motherf—-er," and a "spoiled ass." She said Thompson told her, "f—- you, f—- your daughter, I hope you both die."
She said that evening Thompson became angry that she changed the password to the answering machine. She told police he put his hands around her neck and began choking her, and said, "I’ll choke you until you can’t breathe anymore."
She told police she nearly passed out when Thompson struck her in the face. She said she tried to call police but Thompson grabbed the phone and dismantled it.
[NYPOST] A group of lowlifes was caught on camera this week savagely beating a woman who uses a walker to get around — before fleeing with the device and $22.Surveillance footage of the appalling attack Tuesday evening in Harlem showed three women and a man roughing up the 61-year-old victim — punching her repeatedly while she’s on the ground and stomping on her, police said Thursday.
At one point, one of the female attackers was seen beating the helpless victim with a cooking pot, according to the NYPD.
The attack, which happened at the corner of Eighth Avenue and West 151 Street in Harlem around 8:20 p.m., lasted at least 40 seconds, the footage showed.
The crew made off with the victim’s walker, $22 and credit cards, cops said.

[ToloNews] The Afghan Defense Ministry in a statement on Friday said that 17 Taliban fighters were killed in an airstrike by Afghan Air Force on Thursday night.
Another airstrike was conducted in Nijrab district in Kapisa province in which 10 Taliban fighters on Thursday night, the Defense Ministry said.
Taliban has rejected the figures provided by the Ministry of Defense.
The Internal Security Forces (Asayish) found the bodies of four Iraqi refugees in al-Hol camp, east of al-Hasakah, northeastern Syria.
A security source told Shafaq News Agency, "the security forces of al-Hol camp found the body of refugee Qahtan Ahmed Hassan, who was shot in the head this morning, Friday morning, in the first sector of Iraqi refugees."
He added, "The Iraqi refugee, Ahmed Fayek Haroubi, was also found dead in the same sector by gunshots on Thursday evening."
On Thursday morning, the security forces found an Iraqi refugee and a female refugee who had been rubbed out in the first sector of the camp, according to the same source.
It’s noteworthy that more than 20 people were found dead in the Camp since the Syrian Democratic Forces and Asayish launched a security operation last March.
Al-Hol camp is one of the largest camps that contains families and members of the ISIS in northeastern Syria, and it is home to more than 60,000 people from Syria and other countries. Among them, there are 30,738 Iraqis of 8,256 families.
[SHAFAQ] The U.N. Security Council condemned the decision by The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund... and Ottoman Turkish Cypriots to reopen a residential section of an abandoned suburb on Friday and called for "the immediate reversal" of this unilateral action, warning that it could raise tensions on the divided Mediterranean island.A presidential statement approved by all 15 council members at an open meeting reiterated that any attempt to settle any part of the Varosha suburb "by people other than its inhabitants is inadmissible."
The statement’s adoption followed a closed-door briefing to the council Wednesday by the outgoing U.N. special representative that focused on Ottoman Turkish Cypriot leader Ersin Tatar’s announcement Tuesday that a 3.5 square-kilometer (1.35 square-mile) section of Varosha would revert from military to civilian control.

[ToloNews] Tajikistan is preparing to receive up to 100,000 refugees from Afghanistan where violence has increased as international troops are leaving, a senior Tajik official said on Friday as quoted by Rooters.
This comes as Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... is capturing more and more territory, which the Pentagon estimates now extends to over half of Afghanistan’s district centers.
Quoted by Rooters, Imomali Ibrohimzoda, deputy head of Tajikistan’s emergencies committee, on Friday said his country is already building two large warehouses to store supplies for refugees in the Khatlon and Gorno-Badakhshan provinces adjacent to the border.
According to Rooters report, a few hundred Afghan civilians fled to Tajikistan this month, but the Dushanbe government says they have already returned to Afghanistan.
This comes as Russia has sent its forces and equipment to border areas between Afghanistan and Tajikistan amidst an increase in insecurity in northern Afghanistan.
[ToloNews] The United States House of Representatives on Thursday approved a plan to allow an extra 8,000 special immigration visas for Afghans who helped the US and are at risk of retaliation as American troops are leaving the country.
According to a Rooters report, the bipartisan bill, which passed with a vote of 407 to 16, will now be considered by the Senate.
The plan also aims to speed up the processing of the visas, Rooters reported.
Representative Jason Crow, a Democrat who led the group that sponsored the bill, said the additional visas would cover all potentially eligible applicants in the pipeline.
US State Department front man Ned Price said that since 2008, the department has issued more than 73,000 special immigrant visas to Afghan principal applicants and their eligible family members.
"In the last fiscal year, Fiscal Year 2020, we issued nearly 8,000 special immigrant visas to principal applicants and their derivative spouses and children. So, this is a program and a form of support to the brave Afghans who have helped the U.S. Government in myriad ways over the years. That has been ongoing for over a decade now," he said.
Rooters reports that US Secretary of State Antony Blinken acknowledged last month that there were about 18,000 possible applicants.
"For too long, there has not been a sense of urgency that is necessary to ensure safety for the people who put their lives on the line to help Americans in these difficult circumstances," said Representative Earl Blumenauer, a Democrat, as quoted by Rooters.
This comes as Afghans who helped or worked with the US forces in the last 20 years held different rallies in Kabul and asked for protection as American troops are leaving.

[NYPOST] In a rebuke to Gretchen Whitmer ...Her Excellency, the dictator of Michigan, 2020 Dem VP contender who never got off the ground... , the Republican-led Michigan state House of Representatives repealed a 76-year-old law that gave the governor broad emergency powers used to lock down much of the state during the COVID-19 pandemic. In a 60-48 vote mainly along party lines, the Emergency Powers Act of 1945 was officially scuttled. The state Senate had already voted to kill the act last week.
Though the legislation does not take effect immediately it was a clear shot at Whitmer, whose strict shut-down policies stirred protests last year, but also made her a political darling among Democrats.
Because the law came to the state legislature by a petition drive, under Michigan law it is not subject to a veto from Whitmer and will go into effect 90 days after the legislative session.

[REGNUM] US Armed Forces launched two air strikes on turbans of the radical Taliban ...Arabic for students... movement on July 22 in support of the Afghan army, reports citing sources from The Hill.
Both attacks were carried out in Kandahar province. Their target was military equipment captured by the murderous Moslems.
"I can say that in the last few days we have acted through Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s to support the Afghan National Security Forces, but I will not go into the technical details of these attacks," Pentagon front man John Kirby said in a press briefing.
Of the four air strikes that the US military inflicted on the Talibs, three were aimed at destroying military equipment stolen by radicals, which the US handed over to the Afghan military.

Terrorism experts agree that it has morphed into a powerful network.
Well, it took US 20 years but we've finally taught them how it works.
[FOX9] A Minneapolis City Council committee pushed forward on Wednesday with a measure that would give the voters power to replace the city police department.
The amendment proposed and submitted by the advocacy group "Yes 4 Minneapolis Committee" calls for public safety to have a "comprehensive public health approach" but does not explain what that means.
Under the plan, the police department would be replaced in the charter with a public safety department but doesn't outline how the department will work or be structured.
"I am persuaded that this is not going to get better with another two weeks," said Councilmember Steve Fletcher. "I'm persuaded that this language is a version of describing the intention of the petitioner and 20,000 people who signed the petition saying they want to create a significant change and that we should put it on the ballot. So I'm going to go ahead and move for approval of language as is."
The amendment was approved by the policy and government oversight committee by a vote of 11 to 2. It will now head to the full council for a vote.
If approved by the council, it will be included on the general election ballot in November.

I'm of two minds about this. On one hand, it is a really stupid idea and will probably turn out even worse than expected. On the other hand, I believe in the experimental method. So let's try it and see. (voice from peanut gallery: it's a stupid idea!) Sure the tax-paying citizens of Minneapolis will be boned, but we will gain a useful data point and the next time someone proposes getting rid of the cops, we can look at them and ask, "Like in Minneapolis?"
My favorite part is this: Under the plan, the police department would be replaced in the charter with a public safety department but doesn't outline how the department will work or be structured.
They obviously put a lot of time into coming up with this totally genius plan. Whatever it is exactly.

If they vote in favor of such a poorly defined idea, the people of Minneapolis are certain to get what they deserve. A better idea would be to recall the mayor and all of the members of the city council. I mean, if you're gonna start all over, start from the top.

Crirong Mussolini1765 Hermann Goering was a key leader in the Nazi party and one of the primary architects of the Nazi police state in Germany (here) . He did become Minister of the Interior in Prussia, the country’s largest and most influential state, in 1933 ( here ). It is false, however, that Goering’s “first orders were to defund and eliminate the police departments.”
Timothy Snyder, professor of history at Yale University specializing in the history of Central and Eastern Europe and the Holocaust ( here ), told Reuters via email that the claims made in the posts are “absolutely baseless.”
After the Enabling Act of 1933 ( here ) ceded almost all political authority to Hitler, Snyder laid out four key actions that took place with regards to German policing. Firstly, the highly decentralized police departments were brought under a unified central command. Secondly, “the unified police forces were then placed under the same ultimate command as the SS” (the acronym for the infamous “Schutzstaffel” paramilitary group, here ). Thirdly, led by Heinrich Himmler, the SS officers were brought into the police (comprised of the Ordnungspolizei (orpo) "regular police", the Sicherheitspolizei (Sipo) "security police” which initially included the Gestapo, and the Sicherheitsdienst (SD) "security service”). Finally, “police were trained to understand crime as a matter of race,” the result of which, Snyder explained, “was the creation of a police force that took active part in the Holocaust.”

That explains everything, Deacon. So the Left are basically Nazis. Or spiritual descendants of Hitler. And the Brown shirts probably demanded defunding the police, but the party had other better ideas for it.
#15
As deacon pointed out, the situation as described was half right; the Nazis talked about defunding the police, sometimes, but only in the context of the politicization and centralization process that they controlled. And the brownshirts would talk about it, but they were used and disposed of when no longer needed.
My Grandfather and My Dad both had a historian friend of theirs who wrote a book on the whole process (and a lot of other stuff besides). And that was the book he recommended to me that one time when we were discussing how Chavez took control of Venezuelan society and the role the collectivos took in the process.

[DW] The 'Kentler Project' in West Berlin routinely placed homeless children with pedophile men, assuming they'd make ideal foster parents. A study has found the practice went on for decades.
Starting in the 1970s psychology professor Helmut Kentler conducted his "experiment." Homeless children in West Berlin were intentionally placed with pedophile men. These men would make especially loving foster parents, Kentler argued.
A study conducted by the University of Hildesheim has found that authorities in Berlin condoned this practice for almost 30 years. The pedophile foster fathers even received a regular care allowance.
Helmut Kentler (1928-2008) was in a leading position at Berlin's center for educational research. He was convinced that sexual contact between adults and children was harmless.
Berlin's child welfare offices and the governing Senate turned a blind eye or even approved of the placements.
Several years ago two of the victims came forward and told their story, since then the researchers at Hildesheim University have plowed through files and conducted interviews.
What they found was a "network across educational institutions," the state youth welfare office and the Berlin Senate, in which pedophilia was "accepted, supported, defended."
Kentler himself was in regular contact with the children and their foster fathers. He was never prosecuted: By the time his victims came forward, the statute of limitations for his actions had expired. This has also thus far prevented the victims from getting any compensation.
The researchers found that several of the foster fathers were high-profile academics. They speak of a network that included high-ranking members of the Max Planck Institute, Berlin's Free University, and the notorious Odenwald School in Hesse, West Germany, which was at the center of a major pedophilia scandal several years ago. It has since been closed down.
Berlin's senator for youth and children, Sandra Scheeres called the findings "shocking and horrifying."
A first report on the "Kentler experiment" was published in 2016 by the University of Göttingen. The researchers then stated that the Berlin Senate seemed to lack interest in finding out the truth.
Now Berlin authorities have vowed to shed light on the matter.
Pedophiles in the guise of foster fathers — with vulnerable young boys in their care: The Kentler Project was just one manifestation of a perverted notion of Germany's sexual liberation that goes back to the 1960s.

I guess the 1940's human experiments on Jews continued to the helpless class of disenfranchised children. Dr Mengele would be proud of Germany's medical profession carrying on his work. Just now reading about Mr. MacMurray. Yoiks! I had no idea that he himself, like that freak K., had adopted or fostered four kids. Apologies to fans and descendants of Mr. M. (not that I could've resisted the parallel in any case ;-)).

Ari Jalal, director of the "Summit" Foundation for Refugee and Displaced Affairs in Iraq, told Shafaq News Agency; " last Thursday, at 0900 p.m., a boat carrying 45 refugees has sunk near the island of Crete, as they were planning to travel from The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund... to Italia."
Jalal added; "The Greek authorities rescued 37 refugees and deported them to the Greek city of Karpathos, and the fate of 8 other refugees is not known so far." He continued, "According to the information I obtained, some of the refugees are from Iraqi Kurds."
It is noteworthy that the migration of young people continues from Iraq, especially in the Kurdistan Region, due to the economic and political crises.
Greek and Ottoman Turkishcoastiess are searching for at least eight people who remained missing after a boat carrying 45 migrants colonists sank off the coast of Crete, officials said on Friday.
Thirty-seven people, mostly from Syria and Iraq, were picked up in adverse weather conditions after the boat went down on Thursday near international waters near the Greek island, Greek port police told AFP.
Five of them were taken by helicopter to the Greek island of Karpathos on Thursday while 30 others -- including a woman and a child -- were transported to the Greek town of Ierapetra in southeast Crete, an AFP photographer reported.
Friday's search operations were hampered by gale-force winds, Greek port police said.
Two Ottoman Turkish frigates and a maritime patrol aircraft were also searching for the missing migrants colonists, said The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor... 's defence ministry.
Survivors said that eight to 12 other people had been on board the boat when it went down 60 nautical miles southeast of Crete, Greek port police said.
Illegal immigrants colonists often use Turkey as a transit point to reach prosperous European Union ...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing... states through Greece.
Many rely on smugglers and risk their lives through perilous journeys in overcrowded boats.
In 2016, Turkey inked a deal with the EU to stem the flow of migrants colonists to Europa ...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum... in return for some incentives including financial assistance.
Turkey currently hosts some 3.7 million refugees from the conflict in Syria.
- TURKEY EXPECTS MORE FROM EU -
All the benefits of jihad without any of the risks.
President His Enormity, Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First ...Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey. In Anatolia did Recep Bey a stately Presidential Palace decree, that has 1100 rooms. That's 968 more than there are in the White House, 400 more than in Versailles, and 325 more than Buckingham Palace, so you know who's really most important... has long demanded more assistance from the EU to deal with refugees and has in the past threatened to open Turkey's border unless the bloc provides additional funds.
In June, EU leaders approved plans to give Turkey another 3 billion euros ($3.6 billion) over the next few years for assistance to Syrian refugees and to help boost border controls.
The new funding plan is part of a range of incentives that the bloc is using to try to keep Erdogan on side, with Brussels also offering to modernise a customs union with Turkey and start high-level talks on issues from health to security.
But Turkey responded to the proposal saying the idea that money is enough to solve migration is "a big delusion", urging greater cooperation with the EU to tackle the issue on other levels.
Ankara has repeatedly said it wants a review of the 2016 deal in a fashion that "responds to the needs of the day and common interests".
Turkey now fears a fresh wave of Afghan refugees as US troops withdraw following 20 years of fighting against the Taliban ...mindless ferocity in a turban... , which has been regaining territory.
Erdogan this week said Turkey was holding talks with the Afghan authorities over the issue of migrants colonists.

[OneIndia] The National Investigation Agency has arrested two forces of Evil off the Lashkar-e Mustafa.
The two persons who were arrested are Mohammad Arman Ali and Mohammad Ehsanullah.
The case was registered in the Gangyal District of Jammu in February this year. The case relates to a conspiracy by the terror group which is affiliated to the Jaish-e-Mohammad ...literally Army of Mohammad, a Pak-based Deobandi terror group founded by Maulana Masood Azhar in 2000, after he split with the Harkat-ul-Mujaheddin. In 2002 the government of Pervez Musharraf banned the group, which changed its name to Khaddam ul-Islam and continued doing what it had been doing before without missing a beat... . The group had planned on carrying on terror activities in Jammu and Kashmir ...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there.... with an intention of threatening the illusory sovereignty, integrity and security of India.
Investigation has revealed that both the aforementioned arrested accused persons were co- conspirators and were involved in transportation of two separate consignments of illegal arms/ammunition from Bihar to Mohali and Ambala. The said weapons were further transported to the accused Hidayat Ullah Malik, self declared commander-in-chief of LeM in Jammu and Kashmir.
The accused Arman Ali was arrested in Bihar and was produced before the CJM Saran, Bihar and was taken on transit remand to produce him before the NIA Special court, Jammu, while the other accused Ehsanullah was arrested from Jammu.
Antifa have been vandalizing Christian houses of worship in Portland (& elsewhere) for months. They’ve done it without condemnation from local & national officials. Any other religion that experienced hate crime targeting like this would be treated differently. https://t.co/EXJOFGpaRb

Try that shit on some synagogues even around the Atlanta area.
Antifa/BLM/Black Bloc have vandalized synagogues they passed on their marches. At one point they were making a point of marching in such areas in Los Angeles, but it was not reported — liberal congregations didn’t want to make waves, the idiots.
Many synagogues hire off duty police to stand guard during services and when the children are there for Hebrew school classes, and otherwise rely on automatic locks that require entrants to be buzzed in plus lots of security cameras and the local police station on speed dial. Our local Jewish community center built an office for a police officer just off the front entrance to the place, but the building went up around 2010, making it purpose built instead of retrofitted.

Sigh. And America's going to get the blame for not stepping in and fixing it. And when we do step in and fix it, we're going to be blamed for being bullies and butt-inskys. It's the Kobayashi Maru - the no-win situation. Again.
The series of advances of Yemen ...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of... i army and popular committees still continue in different parts of the country. Yemeni forces launch new operation against Saudi-led coalition mercenaries, al-Masirah reported.
According to the report, Yemeni army and popular committees targeted Saudi coalition mercenary positions around a mountain in Jizan. In the operation, Yemeni forces managed to take control of several Saudi-affiliated centers in the mountain.
A number of mercenaries from Saudi-led coalition were killed and several others were maimed in the operation. Among those killed were a number of Sudanese nationals, Yemeni media sources reported.
Security sources in Yemen also reported that the country's forces managed to capture a number of mercenaries from the Saudi coalition during their operation in Jizan.
Meanwhile, ...back at the desert island, Bert was realizing to his horror that he'd had only one bottle for one message, and he'd forgotten to include a return address... Yemeni operations against Saudi mercenaries continue in other parts as well.
Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin posted a number of photos from that battle on his blog here.
[ToloNews] The Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) on Friday retook the control of Karokh district in Herat ...a venerable old Persian-speaking city in western Afghanistan, populated mostly by Tadjiks, which is why it's not as blood-soaked as areas controlled by Pashtuns... but one district fell to the Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... in the last 24 hours.
This follows a relative calm across the country during the first and second days of Eid.
"A joint attack was carried out against the Taliban positions. These brave men managed to swiftly recapture this district from the Taliban," said Jailani Farhad, a front man to Herat governor.
Sources said Taliban captured Ghazi Abad district in Kunar province ... which is right down the road from Chitral. Kunar is Haqqani country..... The Defense Ministry said that government forces inflicted heavy casualties to the Taliban in at least 10 provinces across the country in the past 24 hours and killed over 150 Taliban fighters. Taliban has rejected the claims.
While Taliban is still trying to capture more swaths of land in the country, the Afghan security institutions have said that the ANDSF as part of the new security plan is trying to retake the country’s financial ports and other strategic locations from the holy warrior group. The Afghan government recently said it will soon unveil a three to six months security plan based on which the ANDSF will be able to change the current situation.
Kunar is one of the provinces in the eastern parts of the county that saw some of the fiercest battles over the past few weeks. But Afghan officials have said that several villages have been cleared of the Taliban in the area.
"The government forces conquered areas in Chilamazar, Qaria-e-Mullah Ishaq and areas around Tapa-e-Taimoor, the enemies left these areas," Kunduz police chief Zubair Safai said.
Nevertheless, President Ashraf Ghani ...former chancellor of Kabul University, now president of Afghanistan. Before returning to Afghanistan in 2002 he was a scholar of political science and anthropology. He worked at the World Bank working on international development assistance. As Finance Minister of Afghanistan between July 2002 and December 2004, he led Afghanistan's attempted economic recovery until the Karzais stole all the money... has said that based on the new plan, the current security situation will change once the new security strategy is practically put in place.
Based on the new plan, the ANDSF will beef up security measures for major cities, airports, highways, strategic locations and ports.
"You resist for three months. In six months time, you will reach your desirable peace. Today the Taliban haae no will for peace," Ghani said on Thursday.
"You can see that the public mindset is totally against the Taliban. No city in Afghanistan will collapse. All the strategic distircts and important border towns will be retaken," the deputy minister of interior for policy and strategy, Naqibullah Fayeq, said.
There are also reports that at least 10 civilians have been killed in various provinces in the past 24 hours as a result of rewned violence.
Since the official announcement of the US forces' withdrawal, 215 districts, including several economically-important port areas, are under Taliban influence.
[SHAFAQ] Iranian authorities appear to have used excessive force against demonstrators in southwestern Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate JewsZionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... protesting lack of access to water, Human Rights Watch said today. The authorities should transparently investigate the reported deaths of at least three protesters and hold those responsible to account. The government should also urgently address longstanding grievances on access to water in the country.Since July 15, 2021, people in dozens of towns and cities in Khuzestan province, which has a large ethnic Arab population, have taken to the streets every evening to protest difficulties with accessing water in the area. In interviews with state-affiliated outlets, families reported the deaths of two men during the protests, while videos shared on social media show security officials using firearms nd teargas and shooting toward protesters. On July 21, the Islamic Theocratic Republic News Agency (IRIB) reported that a third protester in the city of Izeh and a police officer in Taleghani city were killed. Unconfirmed reports indicate that the number of deaths and injuries may be higher.
"Iranian authorities have a very troubling record of responding with bullets to protesters frustrated with mounting economic difficulties and deteriorating living conditions," said Tara Sepheri Far, Iran researcher at Human Rights Watch. "Government authorities need to ensure the right to peaceful assembly and stop security forces from using excessive force."

Nothing new: On 5 July 2000 protests occurred in Abadan over the lack of drinking water (AP 5 July 2000; AFP 5 July 2000; Reuters 5 July 2000). Sources described the protestors as "rioters" who broke windows, burned tires and overturned cars. The city was experiencing an "unprecedented heatwave" with temperatures around 50 degrees Celsius, with the water supply in the city seriously affected. Demonstrators had "gathered in front of the police headquarters to call for action by the authorities", while other sources reported that the demonstrators had gathered at the governor's office. According to the Tehran Times 5,000 Abadan residents gathered and then "chanted some slogans against the local officials and hurled stones at the office"
[AlAhram] A Nigerian court on Friday tossed in the clink Drop the gat, Rocky, or you're a dead 'un! 10 pirates for 12 years each over the hijacking of a merchant vessel last year, the navy said, in the second such trial under a new anti-piracy law.
The pirates, all of them Nigerian, were convicted of hijacking the Chinese merchant ship FV Hailufeng II in the Gulf of Guinea in 2020.
Kidnap attacks against ships for ransom have become common in the Gulf of Guinea, which runs from Senegal ... a nation of about 14 million on the west coast of Africa bordering Mauretania to the north, Mali to the east, and a pair of Guineas to the south, one of them Bissau. It is 90 percent Mohammedan and has more than 80 political parties. Its primary purpose seems to be absorbing refugees... to Angola, taking in the southwest coast of Nigeria.
The perpetrators are usually Nigerian pirates.
Judge Ayokunle Faji of the Federal High Court in Lagos said the sentences were intended as a deterrent to others.
As well as the jail terms, he fined each of the men 250,000 naira ($610).
The ruling was "a major victory for Nigeria's new anti-piracy law," said SLearned Elders of Islamn Dahun, a front man for the Nigerian navy which was acting as prosecutor.
The navy rescued 18 crew members on board the Chinese vessel from pirates on May 15, 2020, also arresting their 10 captors.
Last year, Nigeria carried out its first ever trial under a new piracy law adopted in 2019, under which pirates are dubbed economic saboteurs working against the country.
The Gulf of Guinea accounted for more than 95 percent of all maritime kidnappings last year -- 130 out of 135 cases, according to the International Maritime Bureau (IMB), which monitors security at sea.
There have been 16 acts of piracy in the Gulf of Guinea this year alone, according to the Dryad Global maritime security consultancy.
