#2  I saw an author interviewed on the Steve Bannon's show this a.m..  His name is Dr. Joseph A. Lapado.  He is the Surgeon General of Florida under Gov. Ron DeSantis. His new book is "Transcend Fear: A Blueprint for Mindful Leadership in Public Health."  It is available in various places.  Wikipedia is not particularky kind to the author in their description of the author which to me is a good endorsement. He is also called "controversial."  Based on the interview, his book is about his personal journey as well as public health policy. He said he was successful on the outside but a mess on the inside for years. His wife found a good therapist for him; a Navy Seal turned therapist in L.A..  I have not read the book but plan to. It might be a good read.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Iran Threatens to get nukes to turn New York City Into ‘Hellish Ruins': Wait, I Thought the Democrats Already Did That
[PJMEDIA] Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) says that the mullahs will build nukes in order to turn New York City into “hellish ruins.” This is why Iran wants nukes? Eight years of Bill de Blasio and no end to Democratic rule have already succeeded quite well in turning much of the once-great city into “hellish ruins”; why go to all the trouble of nuking the place when the Democrats will finish the job before too long?

Iran expert Ben Sabti tweeted Saturday that a Telegram channel run by the IRGC has threatened to “produce atomic war head for missiles: ‘Iran can immediately return to Emad project and build an #ATOM bomb, if Natanz facilities are attacked.’” The Emad is a long-range missile.

Meanwhile, the Jerusalem Post reported Sunday that “the IRGC-linked Bisimchi Media (Radioman Media) Telegram channel published a video titled ‘When Will Iran’s Sleeping Nuclear Warheads Awaken.’” The video claims that “if the US or the Zionist regime make any stupid mistakes,” the Iranian mullahs will be able to develop nukes quickly.

According to a Saturday report from the dissident news outlet Iran International, the video “also says that uranium enrichment in secret underground facilities of Fordow, near Qom, has brought Iran to the threshold of nuclear breakout and joining the nuclear powers’ club and stresses that transforming the country’s ‘peaceful nuclear program to a nuclear weapons program’ is possible in a very short time.” The video declares: “The nuclear facilities of Fordow have been built deep under mountains of Iran and are protected against trench-busting bombs and even nuclear explosion… all infrastructures required for nuclear breakout have been prepared in it.” That breakout, the IRGC says, will soon give the Iranians the ability to transform New York into “hellish ruins.”

The Iranian mullahs’ desire to help the Democrats complete their plans for New York City is new, but their threats of violence are nothing new. Back in January 2022, the website of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, released a video showing the assassination of Donald Trump and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on the golf course at Mar-a-Lago. This came amid a barrage of threats against Trump for the killing of Quds Force commander Qassem Soleimani in Jan. 2020.

The threats go back years before that as well. On February 11, 2014, the thirty-fifth anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, Iranian Chief of Staff Hassan Firouzabadi boasted: “Iran is prepared for the decisive war against the U.S. and the Zionist regime.…Iran has been making plans, conducting maneuvers, and preparing its forces for this battle for years now.” And it still is.

Nothing has changed since then except that the Iranian regime has gotten closer to producing nuclear weapons. Two weeks ago, Iran’s former Deputy Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Larijani heaped scorn on the Biden administration’s ongoing hapless efforts to get a new nuclear deal with Iran. “The Westerners’ interest in the JCPOA,” said Larijani, referring to a new agreement by the name of the old one, the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, “stems from their belief that it would pull out our atomic teeth, weaken us, and diminish our capabilities. [The way they see it], if one day, we decided to build a nuclear bomb, the [JCPOA] would delay us for over a year, and since this is a long process, the [JCPOA] would gradually disband the teams, since members would grow old, and their replacements would be blocked. In general, the entire nuclear business would become a pointless luxury, and we would abandon it.”

Larijani reminded the world of one of the Iranian regime’s old deceptions: “Naturally, according to the Leader’s fatwa, we are religiously forbidden from obtaining weapons of mass destruction, and this includes nuclear weapons. Nevertheless, if we ever want to do this, nobody will be able to stop us, of course. They themselves know this.…Our nuclear capabilities – our access to nuclear-related knowledge and technology – are the pride of the Islamic world.” And apparently the envy of New York Democrats.

One day the Iranian regime will come to the conclusion that it is finally time to strike. Will the U.S. military be able to tear itself away from its drag show long enough to defend the nation?

#1  'The video claims that “if the US or the Zionist regime make any stupid mistakes,” the Iranian mullahs will be able to develop nukes quickly.'

Are they trying to say that if no stupid mistakes are made the Mullahs will not be able to develop nukes quickly?

I do not see how making mistakes will enable anything, let alone an ability to develop nukes quickly.

Argentina's Government Collapsing Amid Major Subsidy Cuts
Another once-wealthy country falls to utopian socialism.
[Epoch Times] Protests have erupted in Buenos Aires over the past 90 days and continue to build inside the capital as residents battle with their center-left government over sizeable amendments to social programs. Cuts to subsidies in the energy sector based on household income already began in June.

Other subsidies, including the country’s notorious welfare program, are also on the chopping block, triggering thousands of angry residents to take to the streets. State-sponsored aid for civilians has soared in the past 20 years, leaving 22 million Argentinians dependent on some form of government assistance.

The country’s state funded programs extend to nearly every aspect of the economy, from wages to utilities, education, and health care. Argentina already spends an estimated 800 million pesos per day—a sum of more than US$6 million—on state benefit programs.
Oh, the US can top that!
Cries for more state money, freedom from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and for President Alberto Fernandez to step down echoed within the angry crowds gathered near the president’s office—Casa Rosada —during the nation’s independence day celebration on July 9.

Since then, scheduled demonstrations have continued, led by professional protest organizers or "piqueteros" demanding the abolition of the proposed subsidy cuts and a wage increase.
More free stuff! Don't stop 'till we get enough!
Gomez has lived and worked in Buenos Aires for more than 15 years and currently is a taxi driver. As the years have passed, he’s watched his country dive deeper into economic chaos.
"I’ve seen five presidents come and go in that time; nothing has improved. Half of our country doesn’t want a job, and the ones that do, don’t want to pay the taxes for the others," he said.
Thus endeth the lesson.

USPS Establishes a New Division to Oversee Mail-in Ballots
[Epoch Times] The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) confirmed it has created a division that will oversee mail-in ballots in future elections.

"We are fully committed to the secure and timely delivery of the nation’s election mail," she told media outlets on July 27.

Several months ago, the Biden administration requested $5 billion to support the USPS’s mail-in voting operations over the next 10 years.

"This proposal expands on the essential public services that the Postal Service provides to the American people and will also help to relieve budget strain on local election offices across the country," the administration wrote in March.

It also includes policies to make "official ballot materials free to mail and reducing the cost of other election-related mail for jurisdictions and voters" while "enhancing the Postal Service’s ability to securely and expeditiously deliver and receive mail in underserved areas," the White House said at the time.

Rolling Stones - Trump Sides with Russia Over Brittney Griner
[Rolling Stones] Former President Donald Trump sounds like he wants WNBA player Brittney Griner to stay in a Russian prison. During a podcast appearance on the Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show, the former president voiced his opposition to the U.S. government’s reported offer to swap Griner and U.S. Marine Paul Whelan for Viktor Bout, a convicted Russian arms trafficker.

On the show, Trump maligned Griner as "a potentially spoiled person" who went to Russia "loaded up with drugs," which is an exaggeration of her cannabis arrest.

Brittney Griner, a two-time Olympic gold medalist and seven-time WNBA All-Star was arrested and charged with illegal drug possession and with smuggling a "significant amount" of cannabis. According to the Russian government, customs officers found "vapes" containing hashish oil in Griner’s luggage at an airport close to Moscow. Griner stands little chance of freedom if her fate is left to the Russian criminal justice system, which significantly favors the prosecution.

Bizarre development in intriguing suspicious deaths of two Saudi sisters as cops now claim the family is REFUSING to help them - after revelations they denounced Islam and fled to Australia with $5,000
  • Asra Abdullah Alsehli, 24, and Amaal Abdullah Alsehli, 23, were asylum seekers

  • They jumped on a plane from Saudi Arabia to Sydney, via Hong Kong, with $5k

  • Five years after arriving in Sydney, they were found dead in their unit in June

  • Police originally insisted family were cooperating with ongoing investigation

  • Family reportedly refused permission for police to release photos and names

  • Police confirmed women's identities were released in consultation with coroner
Police believe the two young women, found in separate beds, may have been dead for a month before officers made the grim discovery while conducting a welfare check.

There were no signs of forced entry, no clear signs of injury, and the cause of death remains undetermined.

For weeks, NSW Police assured media the sisters 'well-connected' family in the Saudi kingdom were 'cooperating' and 'helping' with the investigation.

It's also been revealed the sisters were both seeking protection from the Australian government as more details about their attempts to build a normal life here emerged.

They had an active claim for asylum in progress with the Department of Home Affairs, it has been confirmed.

Fifth Column
Masks of Benevolence: the art and times of Bob Moran
[OFF-GUARDIAN.ORG] In September 2021, Bob Moran — then busy balancing his unlikely dual roles of Chief Political Cartoonist at the Daily Telegraph and Unofficial Cartoonist Laurette of the Great Awakening™ — got into trouble.

This trouble ultimately resulted in his losing his job (the Telegraph one, that is), forcing him to think of new ways to support his young family.

Many celebrated his fall, including some of his Telegraph colleagues. These had been leaking their discontent for some time. A year earlier, the first in a series of reports had appeared in Private Eye:

"Hacks at the Daily Telegraph are increasingly horrified by their main political cartoonist, "Bob", aka Bob Moran - not so much for his cartoons as for his noisy presence on Twitter, where he has become a hero to Covid sceptics and anti-vaxxers..."

Meanwhile, for the average normie, Bob's sacking (if they noticed it at all) likely seemed well-deserved, having resulted from a reasonably rough Twitter skirmish with a model citizen of technocratic progressivism, Dr Rachel Clarke.

An active doctor in palliative care and COVID wards, Dr Clarke was also a best-selling author of three books, and an Oxford graduate (of PPE) with a background in foreign affairs journalism.

She was more recently a frequent talking head on UK news — sometimes appearing in her scrubs, as if having stepped directly from intensive care - where she would implore Boris Johnson to act more "decisively" on issues such as lockdowns and vaccination, citing the purported "human cost" of any hint of hesitation deploying the New Normal in its full glory.

From her spotless Twitter account ("she/her") to her Ted Talks on compassion and love, Dr Clarke always expressed herself in the fluent, firm, self-assured tones of the English upper middle classes. She was as perfect a picture of liberal "goodness" as you could hope to encounter.

"Bob", on the other hand. was just the anonymous presence lurking behind his seemingly mean-spirited sketches, which ridiculed almost every pandemic response, gestured towards vast global conspiracies, belittled the virus that had gripped the world in mortal terror, and scorned the institutions commonly looked to for protection and guidance.

One of the two could not be wrong. But where was "goodness" really found? The palliative care doctor along with the institutions and global policies she extolled? Or the fleet street cartoonist, and the no less global network of activists and cynics whose suspicions and misgivings he had vividly articulated since the lockdowns began?
Needless to say, read the whole thing

His efforts in concert with those of his comrades significantly curtailed the ability of the enemy to gather and report HUMINT (Human Intelligence). At some point in the process, he was commissioned. He left the military as a Lieutenant.

Now, for...

#1 Ohio teacher quits his job to become a manager at WALMART because it pays $55,000-a-year before bonuses - at least $12,000 more than he was earning at school

...I know the Massillon area pretty well, and this don't surprise me. The big districts tend to monopolize most of the state money, and historically they're all badly managed. The smaller districts have pretty much soaked up all the cash they can from areas whose tax bases have been slowly eroding for decades.

He'll work 12 months at Walmart vs 9 months in the school system. If he only worked 9 months at Walmart per that rate he would take home roughly $42,000 a year. $55,000 - $12,000 = $43,000. You think he could pick up a job for 3 months between school years to give him something more than $1000?

Much less the 'unmotivated students' themselves where you are not allowed to motivate them for fear of being accused of 'improper conducts'?

Being forced to teach falsehood and not allowed to really teach the truth?

Frankly our school systems is a holy mess!

5 Kids Among 7 Killed When Wrong-Way Driver Crashes Into Van on I-90 in McHenry County
[NBC] Illinois State Police say a wrong-way driver on Interstate 90 caused a fiery collision that killed a total of seven people, including five children, early Sunday in McHenry County.

At approximately 2:11 a.m., a blue Chevrolet full size van was traveling westbound on Interstate 90, near the 33.5 mile marker, when an Acura TSX, heading eastbound in the westbound lanes, struck the van, according to police. Upon colliding, both vehicles became engulfed in flames.

#2  Driving east on I-80 in north central PeeAve some years ago, I saw oncoming headlights through a pretty heavy snowfall. As the westbound lanes were separated from the east by a couple hundred yards of median there, I got really nervous slowed down and prepared for a bad situation. It was an odd sense of relief I felt when I saw the headlights that should not be there belonged to a car that had just flipped and come to rest upside down on the berm.

That stretch of road is just south of Marengo, Illinois. I've driven it more times than I can remember.

Straight and flat. Only one or two places to make a mistake getting on the wrong way for westbound lanes, and they are 8-10 miles west of where the crash occurred (33.5 mile post).

At that time of the morning I'd guess alcohol.

Iraq
What's going on in Iraq
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin

[ColonelCassad] Briefly for those who are interested in the question of what is happening in Iraq, why government buildings are constantly seized there and how this will affect the war in Ukraine.

1. Iraq in the current realities is a weak state on whose territory there is and will continue to be a proxy war between the US and Iran, as well as a permanent CTO against ISIS.

2. The current system of power in Iraq leaves no prospects for strengthening state power. The system of quotas for power based on national-religious grounds (as in Lebanon or Bosnia) under the conditions of Iraq gives rise to constant crises.

3. Muqtada As-Sadr is objectively the most popular political (and religious, after Al-Sistani) figure in Iraq, but not popular enough to claim full power through the current "democratic" procedures.

4. Al-Sadr shared political power with a pro-Iranian Shiite bloc for some time, but after the latter's relative failure in recent elections (which many consider rigged), he figured he could do without the Iranians, which forced another crisis to brew.

5. Al-Sadr himself cannot form a government, therefore, by manipulating the street, he is trying to impose on Iraq a candidate convenient for him, simultaneously launching slogans about a national revolution and the expulsion of Western and Eastern invaders, alluding to the United States and Iran, along the way trying to take away from Iran the agenda for the expulsion of American invaders from Iraq.

6. The problem is that this path, if Al-Sadr persists, will lead Iraq to civil war, as the pro-Iranian Shiites, Kurds and radial Sunnis will not accept the "Al-Sadr revolution". The US and Iran, of course, are also unlikely to seek to withdraw from Iraq. Plus, there are still numerous ISIS cells in Iraq that regularly attack the army and civilians.

7. At the same time, the problem of US and Israeli support for Kurdish separatism with attempts to separate Iraqi Kurdistan remains. In addition, a permanent Turkish NWO is being waged on the territory of Iraq against the PKK in Qandil and Sinjar, and the Turks do not want to leave northern Iraq.

8. The country itself is mired in poverty and corruption. Democracy has brought only pain and suffering to Iraq, which leads to regular protests against any government.

Of course, the next turmoil in Iraq poses a threat to US plans to increase oil production in Iraq and release it to world markets to lower world prices to fight Russia. The stronger the crisis in Iraq, the more it will affect oil prices. A few days before the next occupation of government buildings, the government announced that it was going to increase oil exports by 2 million barrels a day.

In May, Iraq exported 3.3 million barrels per day. However, the US may sacrifice these prospects for other benefits. A full-fledged civil war in Iraq could make it difficult for Iran to use the "Shiite bridge" (Iran-Iraq-Syria-Lebanon) and hit the Chinese projects of the One Belt - One Road initiative, as well as the interests of Rosneft and Lukoil.

Palestinian Authority raises salary for terrorists who killed 9 at Hebrew U
[JP] The Palestinian Authority increased its monthly payments to the terrorists responsible for the deadly attack at Hebrew University in 2002, Palestinian Media Watch found.

The 14.29% raise in the salaries of four terrorists coincided with the 20th anniversary of the bombing, which took place on Sunday.

How much are they getting?

Over the past 20 years, the PA paid Wael Qassem, Wassim Abbasi, Alla Aldin Abbasi and Muhammed Odeh over NIS 8 million (over $2.5 million). Their monthly payments are set to increase from NIS 7,000 ($2,251) per month to NIS 8,000 ($2,572); they also receive a supplement of NIS 300 shekels ($96) each month because they were residents of Jerusalem.

Four other terrorists convicted for taking part in the attack receive a salary from the PA, as well.

How The Switchblade Kamikaze ‘Sort Of' Drone Makes Russian Generals Sweat
[1945] The war in Ukraine is getting more and more intense by the day. That means whatever weapons the West and NATO can provide is critical. And that means Kyiv wants as many Switchblade weapons as it can get: The AeroVironment Switchblade drone comes in two different variants. The more common variant is the 300, and its heavier counterpart is the 600. The 300 is extremely portable, measuring two feet and just six pounds; it launches from a tube with compressed air. The Switchblade 300 is so small and lightweight that a single infantry troop can carry it in his pack. Transportable and quite easy to launch, the Switchblade 300 has proved its value as a tool for troops engaging with long-range targets or needing to quell enemy fire.

While most call the Switchblade a drone, the system is officially referred to as a loitering munition because, unlike a drone, the Switchblade is unrecoverable. It is really a kamikaze device.

-Lurid Crime Tales-
FBI, Director Christopher Wray are in for a rude wake-up call over Hunter Biden investigation
[NYP] FBI Director Christopher Wray always seems a little too pleased with himself. But on Thursday the smirk may be wiped off his pretty face when Republican members of the House oversight committee start grilling him on the mounting evidence that something is very rotten inside the agency Wray runs.

Top of the list is the curious question of why the FBI apparently did nothing with Hunter Biden’s laptop, which was handed to two agents on Dec. 9, 2019, by John Paul Mac Isaac, the alarmed owner of the computer repair shop near the Biden family homes in Greenville, Del., where Hunter had dropped off his MacBook eight months earlier.

Among other potential crimes to be found on the abandoned laptop, you would expect the FBI to be interested, on national security grounds, in the incriminating evidence of a corrupt foreign influence-peddling scheme run by the Biden family throughout Joe Biden’s vice presidency.

Equally curious is why the FBI apparently did nothing with another voluminous trove of corroborating material, given to them in October 2020 by Hunter’s former business partner, Navy veteran Tony Bobulinski, including emails and other documents which replicate those on Hunter’s laptop.

Bobulinski has said he was interviewed for several hours by FBI agents, as part of an investigation into Hunter, after he held a bombshell press conference on Oct. 22. 2020, alleging that then-Democratic nominee Joe Biden had lied when he claimed to have no involvement in Hunter’s foreign deals. Bobulinski also said that Joe Biden was the "Big Guy" referred to by Hunter’s partners in encrypted messages and intercepted voice messages.

The food legacy of a Holocaust survivor
[BBC] Driven by his family history, Tibor Rosenstein is preserving Jewish-Hungarian cuisine through his Budapest restaurant, which has become a bucket list destination for food lovers.

A mere block from Budapest's mammoth Keleti railway station sits Tibor Rosenstein's eponymous restaurant. The entrance comes off a quiet, unassuming residential corner far from the city's traditional culinary hubs. But like a temple, Rosenstein Restaurant stands alone as a monument to historical Jewish-Hungarian cuisine — drawing celebrities, television personalities and Jewish gastronomic globetrotters eager for a taste of the past.

"My personal cuisine and my dishes are traditional Hungarian-Jewish cuisine," said Rosenstein. This includes goose sausage and cholent, the traditional Jewish Sabbath stew left to cook overnight. Rosenstein's secret ingredient is ground paprika — perhaps the most beloved spice in all Hungarian cuisine.

Ukraine latest updates: British MI6 says Russia ‘running out of steam'
[Aljazeera] Russia is "running out of steam" in its assault on Ukraine, the chief of the UK’s MI6 foreign intelligence agency, Richard Moore, has said.

British defence intelligence says Russia is looking to hold referendums in newly occupied areas of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian military has said it has killed dozens of Russian soldiers and destroyed two ammunition dumps in fighting in the Kherson region, the focus of Kyiv’s counteroffensive in the south and a key link in Moscow’s supply lines.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says the deaths of dozens of prisoners in a Russian-held jail show Moscow is a state sponsor of "terrorism". Russia claimed Ukraine carried out missile attacks that killed the prisoners.

China-Japan-Koreas
China To Pelosi: You Will ‘Perish' Over Taiwan
[1945] "The position of the Chinese government and people on the Taiwan question is consistent, and resolutely safeguarding China’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity is the firm will of the more than 1.4 billion Chinese people," Chinese ruler Xi Jinping told President Joe Biden during their phone call on July 28, according to the Chinese foreign ministry. "The public opinion cannot be defied. Those who play with fire will perish by it."

"Perish"?

Xi’s dire-sounding warning, issued in connection with reports that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi plans to go to Taiwan, suggests either that Xi Jinping perceives Biden to be so weak that he can push him around or that China’s internal problems are so severe that the Communist Party must create an external crisis to distract the Chinese people. In the worst case, both are true.

For about a decade, Chinese leaders have believed the United States has been in terminal decline, and their regime will soon ascend to global dominance.

Biden, at least in their minds, has confirmed this view. His calamitous withdrawal from Afghanistan and his failure to stop Russia’s invasion of Ukraine left Beijing thinking that it can now do what it wants to Taiwan.

At the same time, Xi’s threat could be the result of regime insecurity. He needs an external crisis so that the Chinese people won’t think too much about the internal ones. Inside China, coronavirus continues to infect the population, and Xi’s "dynamic zero-COVID" policy is causing widespread resentment as well as undermining the ailing economy.

China’s economy, despite the report of 0.4% year-to-year growth in the second quarter, is almost certainly contracting.

At the same time, the debt crisis, delayed for more than a decade, has been hitting the country. Evergrande Group and other large property developers are defaulting on bond and other obligations, apartment projects remain unfinished, buyers of flats are participating in a nationwide "mortgage boycott" by not paying banks, the boycott has spread to suppliers of the developers, and financial institutions across the country are tight on cash. There are bank runs, especially in Henan province, but banks in the financial capital of Shanghai are also in poor condition.

Two years after Tienanmen sq she went there with a placard memorializing the people who died there. Then on the 19th anniversary of Tienanmen she gave a Regime-denouncing speech in Congress.

Government Corruption
Biden Officials Privately Warn: Ending ‘Remain in Mexico' to Spur Flood of Illegal Immigration
[Breitbart] Some officials on President Joe Biden’s National Security Council (NSC) are privately warning that an end to former President Donald Trump’s "Remain in Mexico" program at the United States-Mexico border will spur a flood of illegal immigration.

In June, the Supreme Court ruled in a 5-4 decision that the Biden administration can end the Remain in Mexico program but also sent the issue back to lower courts. Following the decision, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas vowed to end the program when the agency is legally allowed to do so.

Some NSC officials, who spoke anonymously to the Wall Street Journal, said they are privately warning administration officials that ending the Remain in Mexico program is likely to spur an even larger flood of illegal immigration to the U.S. while also crippling negotiations with Mexico.

The Journal reports:
The NSC officials have cited a number of reasons for their wariness, including that they are concerned that the publicity around ending the program could attract more people to cross the border illegally, the people said. Specifically, the program remains one of the only deterrent tools the administration can use to handle asylum-seeking migrants from Cuba and Venezuela, countries that aren’t taking back any deported citizens from the U.S. [Emphasis added]

They are also worried that ending the program entirely would upend continuing immigration negotiations with the Mexican government, which would prefer to see the program remain in place, they said. [Emphasis added]

NSC officials have also argued that ending the program could immediately prompt more litigation by Texas and other Republican-led states that could force the government to quickly start the program back up again, the people said. An initial lawsuit by Texas and Missouri prompted the administration to restart the program last fall as the case was pending with the Supreme Court. [Emphasis added]

At DHS, though, agency officials are reportedly all on board to end the Remain in Mexico program — claiming it is too expensive to operate even as illegal immigration costs American taxpayers billions of dollars every year in direct costs.

The Biden administration’s seeking to end Remain in Mexico comes even as the program has drastically helped eliminate asylum fraud where border crossers and illegal aliens, who knowingly did not qualify for asylum, were released into the U.S. interior regardless.

The latest federal data, as Breitbart News reported, reveals that of the more than 45,000 Remain in Mexico cases adjudicated, only 1.6 percent of migrants enrolled in the program have been found to have legitimate asylum claims.

Meanwhile, more than 70 percent of migrants enrolled in the program have been ordered deported after failing to prove that they have valid claims for asylum. More than 10,000 migrants terminated their asylum proceedings before making it to court, suggesting they too did not believe they would be found to have valid asylum claims.

CNN Comes To Cheyenne Frontier Days; Attendees Slam Cheney
[By Jimmy Orr, Cowboy State Daily] For those who believe that CNN is a credible news organization, and according to polls that number is a minority (especially with Republican voters), the network came to Cheyenne Frontier Days over the weekend to do a news story on how Wyoming citizens regard U.S. Rep. Liz Cheney.

In a highly publicized memo, the new president of CNN last spring said in light of the numerous scandals that have plagued the news organization, he wanted the focus of the network to be on credibility and put "journalism first."

If the news segment of the CNN broadcast from the site of the largest outdoor rodeo in the world on Sunday was any indication, the network might be shifting toward a less manipulated form of journalism again.

The network reported that most of the Wyoming respondents they interviewed did not have a high opinion of Cheney.

The unscientific results of their interviews would appear to somewhat follow the scientific poll done earlier in July which shows Cheney has a 66% disapproval rating in addition to being behind challenger Harriet Hageman by a 52 — 30% margin.

Israeli official denies Hamas claim of IDF strike on facility where soldier’s body held
[IsraelTimes] An anonymous Israeli official almost immediately denies Hamas, the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,’s claim that a member of the terror group was killed in an Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...

The official tells news hounds it is a lie meant to drum up interest amid a renewed push by Hamas to negotiate the release of the remains of two fallen Israeli soldiers — both killed eight years ago in the 2014 Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
war — and two living Israeli citizens.

"This is one big lie. Hamas is under great pressure so it’s looking to raise the issue. Israel will continue with its many and myriad efforts to release the captives and the missing, and it will not stop," the unnamed official says in a statement.

Hamas maintains that Lt. Hadar Goldin and Staff Sgt. Oron Shaul are alive. Israel denies this, and the official calls the terror group’s claims "lame."

Afghanistan
Iran border guards clash with Afghanistan’s Taliban
[IsraelTimes] Clashes break out between Iranian border guards and Taliban
...the Pashtun equivalent of men...
forces, officials say, with the Afghan side confirming one of their border officers was killed and another maimed.

Both sides accused the other of opening fire first.

"There was a clash between the border guards of the Islamic Theocratic Republic of Iran

and the Taliban forces," Meysam Barazandeh, governor of Iran’s Hirmand county, is quoted as saying by the Fars news agency.

He adds that "the conflict was brief and has ended."

Fars reports that festivities took place on the Iranian side of the border, in the Shaghalak area of Hirmand country, in the southeastern province of Sistan-Baluchestan.

"A border violation by the Taliban took place today," Barazandeh says, adding that "our forces gave the necessary response," and that there "were no casualties" on the Iranian side.

Iran’s Tasnim news agency says Taliban
...mindless ferocity in a turban...
forces shot at some houses in the town of Dust Mohammad, which was followed by an exchange of fire "for several minutes."

A statement issued by Afghanistan’s Nimroz provincial information center blamed Iranian border guards for the incident.

"Iranian border forces fired at a patrol of our border forces in Kang district of Nimroz province," the statement says.

"After that they (Iranian forces) fired in the area with light and heavy weapons. In this shooting, one of our border force personnel was martyred and another injured," it adds.

Iran, like many other nations, has so far not recognized the new government formed by the Taliban after it took power amid a hasty withdrawal by US-led foreign forces in August 2021.

Former NDS Director Says American Drones Struck Different Locations of Afghan Capital, prob ISIS-K hideouts
[KhaamaPress] Rahmatullah Nabil, former director of the Afghan National Directorate of Security
...the Afghan national intel agency...
(NDS), claims that American drones were spotted in Kabul’s airspace and attacked various Kabul locations.

Following reports of at least two explosions in the capital’s Wazir Akbar Khan and Sherpur areas, Nabil posted his statement on his Twitter handle.

"American drones were seen in the airspace of KBL and struck different locations in Kabul," the former NDS director wrote.

Nabil also stated that the earth-shattering kabooms that occurred on Sunday in Kabul are "most likely" a "IS-K hideout," citing a clause of the Doha agreement, to which the US and the Taliban
...mindless ferocity in a turban...
are parties, which states that the US will help the Taliban combat and defeat IS-K.

He also cautioned that Afghanistan is in grave danger of turning into a haven and sanctuary for turbans and terrorists.

Taliban security authorities claim that a rocket was launched at the Wazir Akbar Khan area of Kabul and landed close to the area’s 11th street following the release of news about the occurrence of at least two explosions in the capital.

The rocket struck a vacant house, according to Khalid Zadran, the Taliban’s front man for the Kabul Police on Sunday, July 31. No one was injured in the incidents.

Another explosion in Kabul’s Dehmazang area was also reported by the locals, resulting in no immediate casualties.

Both occurrences have not yet been claimed by a group or organization.

Sunday Explosions in Afghan Capital Inflict No Immediate Casualties: Taliban Officials

security authorities, no immediate casualties were caused by the earth-shattering kabooms on Sunday morning.

According to the security officers of the Taliban government, the occurrence in Sherpur and Wazir Akbar Khan on July 31st took place at about 6:30 am.

The Taliban Ministry of Defense front man, Abdul Nafi Takor, stated that no one was hurt when a rocket struck an unoccupied house in Kabul’s Sherpur area.

As for the earth-shattering kabooms, some sources claim that they were brought on by the landing of two rockets near the Wazir Akbar Khan and Sherpur areas of Kabul.

Both instances have gone unclaimed thus far by any group or organization.

Since the Taliban seized power, there have been more attacks in Afghanistan, despite the Taliban’s assurances of security.

Additionally, earlier this month, the United Nations

However,
you can observe a lot just by watching...
between mid-August 2021 and mid-June 2022, UNAMA recorded 2,106 civilian casualties. This is despite a general, significant decline in armed violence.

The religious scholar is reportedly killed by unknown gunnies on Friday evening, 29th of July, as he was returning home from prayer in the Sahibzada village in Kunar province.

While the Taliban

Afghanistan’s capital and provinces have experienced a rise in insecurity recently.

A leading Salafi scholar and well-known religious figure, Sardar Wali Saqib, was murdered at his place of residence two weeks ago in Kabul.

Sheikh Sardar Wali Saqib was the head of a religious seminary in the Naranjebagh region of Jalalabad district, in the center of Nangarhar

Despite the Taliban’s claims of security, mysterious killings and other crimes continue in several provinces.

SDF says dozens arrested for ‘espionage’ activities
[Rudaw] The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) on Sunday said it launched a covert operation against alleged spies and infiltrators claiming they work for The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund...
, arresting dozens in the process.

The operation, dubbed Oath, was conducted by the SDF in several areas under its control, including parts of the provinces of Hasaka, Deir ez-Zor, Raqqa, and Aleppo, and "resulted in arresting 36 persons involved in espionage activities," the US-backed force reported.

"The Ottoman Turkish occupying state and its intelligence work extensively to create spy networks and agents and allocated a large budget," the SDF said, calling the alleged Ottoman Turkish recruitment of spies and agents within SDF-held territories a method of "undermining the trust of our people and arousing suspicion and skepticism."

The operation coincides with growing concern over a fresh Ottoman Turkish operation in northern Syria, with Ankara targeting key leaders of the SDF and launching a spate of drone attacks on Manbij and Tal Rifaat — areas it seeks to seize control of.

The SDF claimed that the spy and agents network have inflicted casualties in the force’s ranks, severely damaging the region.

Last week, the SDF confirmed the death of one of its commanders and two other fighters who were killed by a Ottoman Turkish drone a day prior. General Commander Mazloum Abdi vowed Dire Revenge for their deaths while US Central Command offered condolences to their families.

forces of Evil in a joint offensive in the region, a local official said.

A military official who led the security operation near Tosweyne village in Bardale district told the Somali News Agency that several gunnies who have been terrorizing the locals escaped with serious injuries.

"The forces of Evil have harassed and displaced several people in the villages. This operation was meant to flush them out of Bardale district," Aidarus Abdullahi Sheikh, a commander who led the operation, told the news agency.

The latest operation came a day after two people including a state minister were killed and several others maimed in a blast in Baidoa, in southwestern Somalia. South-West State Minister of Justice Hassan Ibrahim Hassan (Lugbur) and his son were killed by an bomb near his home after leaving the mosque in Baidoa Friday.

Al-Shabaab still controls some parts of rural southern and central Somalia and continues to carry out high-profile attacks in Mogadishu and elsewhere. Allied forces have intensified military operations in territory formerly controlled by the krazed killer group. al-Shabaab was driven out of Mogadishu in 2011.

Ethiopian forces face new front from Al-Shabaab in Somalia
[Garowe] The Æthiopia National Defense Forces [ENDF] have reportedly killed senior al-Shabaab
...... al-Qaeda's tentacle in East Africa...
commanders just near the border with Somalia, in the latest crackdown which comes moments after the snuffies crossed over to the Horn of Africa nation.

In a statement, the Æthiopian authorities said the army killed three al-Shabaab big shots in South Eastern part of the country, during an offensive which was waged against the snuffies have tried to cross over to the Æthiopian side of the border.

The Æthiopian forces and troops from the Somali region killed Fu'ad Mohammed alias Sonqole and two other leaders who have been on the US radar for a long time. Earlier this week, it was reported that Sanqole was around Aato town where he was radicalizing locals.

Also reportedly killed in the crackdown by Æthiopian troops were Abdulaziz Abu Musa [Al-Shabaab front man], and Ubeda Nur Isse who is said to be head of al-Shabaab forces along the Æthiopian border. The snuffies had tried to attack people at Aato town on Friday morning.

Records in the State Department indicate that Sanqole had a $5 million bounty on his head with the US accusing him of recruiting al-Shabaab bully boys. The holy man is said to be having Swedish citizenship and has been successfully avoiding arrest.

Major General Tesfaye Ayalew, Head of the deployment in the Æthiopian Defense Force and coordinator of the Security Command Post, has confirmed to Æthiopian State media, Æthiopian News Agency, that the three al-Shabaab leaders are killed near the Æthiopian border.

Last week, al-Shabaab snuffies suffered multiple losses at Aato and Yeed towns along the border of Somalia and Æthiopia. Further reports indicate that al-Shabaab was killed in numbers within Æthiopia, with authorities estimating the number at over 100 bully boys.

It is unclear if there were casualties from the Æthiopian forces. The report on the death of Sanqole could not be independently verified by Garowe Online but there were confrontations along the border, with the latest shootout reported on Saturday morning.

Mustafa Mohammed, president of the Somali regional State of Æthiopia, on Thursday, warned that al-Shabaab might attempt to launch a new attack despite devastating defeat in the same week. al-Shabaab controls huge swathes of rural central and southern Somalia.
Ethiopian forces reportedly killed three key Al-Shabab leaders in the latest operation in the South Eastern Part of the country bordering Somalia region.

A joint Ethiopian Defense Force and Somali region special forces operation in Aato area, where Al-Shabab opened attack on Friday, after its fighters were wiped out in the in two villages earlier in the week, eliminated Fu’ad Mohamed (also known as Sanqole), who is said to be chief of coordination of Al-Shabab, AbdulAziz Abu Musa (Al-Shabaab spokesman), and Ubeda Nur Isse who is said to be head of Al-Shabaab forces along the Ethiopian border.

Æthiopia’s Somali state president Mustafe Omar said that the region’s special forces operations against al-Shabaab holy warriors inflicted the group heavy casualties.

He said they believe that the troops killed 600 al-Shabaab fighters during their operations against the bully boy group who a week ago infiltrated Æthiopia, sparking new confrontations near the Æthiopian border with Somalia.

Commentary by Russian military blogger Andrey Chervonets

[Chernovec] Former French Ambassador to Russia Sylvie Bermann, in an interview with the BFM television channel, expressed her opinion about the shelling of the pre-trial detention center in Yelenovka.

She is sure that the Russians or their allies had no reason to “bomb the prison under their control”, it is much more profitable for them to hold a trial with confessions of the accused than to destroy them in this way.

A retired French colonel who was also in the studio supported the ex-ambassador. The upcoming process "would give an opportunity to show the presence of Nazis in the ranks of the Ukrainian army."

Shame on Ukrainian and Western propaganda. In their inside-out view, did the DNRs fire at their colony, hitting exactly the center of the building from HIMARS without firing from the first shell? And then they couldn’t finish off the survivors, taking them to the hospital and starting to treat? Orcs - are they cunning?

Seriously, to purposefully destroy their own military prisoners of war - even Hitler could not think of this at one time. Zelensky surpassed the former artist and this shelling will forever remain on the conscience of the former comedian. How it will remain on his conscience to hit the center of Kramatorsk with "Tochka-U" to inflate the hype around Ukraine on the day of the arrival of the highest European commissioners in Kyiv.

The situation with targeted shelling and destruction of their own, who were taken prisoner, speaks volumes. On the one hand, the circus Ukrainian leadership takes revenge on its warriors for surrendering and frank stories on camera, which upsets and spoils the reputation of Vovochka, and on the other hand, Zelensky and his combat sixes in general's shoulder straps demonstrated their real attitude towards their own soldiers and officers - they are just dumb meat.
Vovochka is a tell-all book about Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin, published in 2015
By the way, Russia invited experts from the UN and the International Red Cross to participate in the investigation of the attack in Yelenovka.

It is also necessary to demand an investigation into the shelling of Donbass and the total mining of anti-personnel mines by the Ukrainian military throughout the territory of Donetsk and other cities.

Anyone who had the idea to give the order to bombard the whole of Donetsk with anti-personnel mines in order to maim women and children will stop at nothing. This is evidence that Ukraine is a typical terrorist structure. Like the Caucasus Emirate or ISIS.

What were far-sighted in their time those who deprived Kyiv of nuclear weapons.

Al-Rahi urges state to protect Rmeish residents under Resolution 1701
[An Nahar] Maronite Patriarch Beshara al-Rahi on Sunday voiced regret over the clash in the southern border town of Rmeish between Hezbollah members and town residents.

"We urge the security agencies to perform their duty of protecting and reassuring our sons, so that they feel that they belong to a state that protects them and guarantees their safety and freedom to work in their land, under U.N. Security Council 1701, which prohibits any armed forces from being present in their area," al-Rahi added in his Sunday Mass sermon.

Bayelsa police recover four slain officers' corpses
[PUNCHNG] The Bayelsa State Police Command said on Sunday that it had recovered the corpses of four officers who were missing after a surveillance boat conveying them was crushed by a gunboat in the state’s waterways on July 25.

The four bodies of the slain coppers had been deposited at the mortuary of the Federal Medical Centre, Yenagoa.

The operations manager of Darlon Oil and Gas Limited, an oil surveillance firm, identified as Odi Lyon, who was the younger brother of a former All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in Bayelsa, David Lyon, also died in the incident.

The command had earlier explained through a statement by its front man, Asinim Butswat, that the surveillance boat conveying the dear departed officers capsized at Korokorosei in the Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of the state on the fateful day.

It stated that, "One policeman’s body was recovered while three are still missing...The command is yet to establish the circumstances surrounding the unfortunate incident. Divers have been deployed to the area for possible rescue of the missing persons."

Speaking on the recovery of the four corpses, the Commissioner of Police, Benjamin Okolo, however, attributed the incident to the handiwork of pipeline vandals.

He said, "They (slain officers) intercepted some vandals and burnt some equipment used for vandalism. Preparing to return to base, the boat, which is a gunboat with unidentified people, most likely these vandals, ran into them with the intention to get them capsized.

"And in the process, the civil mobile coppers, who were onboard the speedboat that was taking them for the surveillance, capsized and fell into the water. Three swarm to safety but four couldn’t make it, including one of the personnel of Darlon Company. But finally, all the bodies have been recovered."

Okolo said the Inspector-General of Police and the entire police family were saddened by the huge loss that resulted from the incident.

But a source said that the gunboat that ran into the surveillance boat conveying the dear departed officers and the civilian was allegedly operated by another team of coppers, who escorted a dredger.

The source, who spoke in confidence, claimed that the officers had escorted the dredger to anchor at Ogboinbiri, also in Southern Ijaw, and were returning when their gunboat allegedly crushed the surveillance boat of the victims.

However,
some men learn by reading. A few learn by observation. The rest have to pee on the electric fence for themselves...
Okolo dismissed the account of the source as "lies and untrue", insisting that the survivors of the incident confirmed it was carried out by the vandals with a view to killing the occupants of the surveillance boat.

Europe
Radio Free Europe reporting both Kosovo police and NATO forces have now deployed additional units in north Kosovo (Balkan News Roundup)
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]

According to Russian military blogger Andrey Chervonets:
On the administrative border between Serbia and the so-called "Republic of Kosovo" units of the Serbian army are in full combat readiness and are waiting for orders.

Starting tomorrow, Pristina will no longer recognize Serbian internal passports (personal card) that all Serbs in northern Kosovo have. New rules for the entry of cars with Serbian numbers will also begin.

Aleksandar Vučić has long and unambiguously hinted that new provocations are being prepared in the region, and not without the help of Western "partners". And today the head of the Serbian Foreign Ministry said that "Albanians are preparing hell in Kosovo and Metohija." Against the background of all this, the Serbian Armed Forces and the Ministry of Internal Affairs began joint anti-terrorist exercises.

At the same time, according to local residents, Albanians have been taking their relatives out of the northern municipalities, which are dominated by the Serb population, for several days in a row. Yesterday, the equipment of the Kosovo special forces ROSU was also seen, which is again being transferred from south to north.

The entire northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica is plastered with posters "we don't give up, Serbian documents remain"

In the afternoon, air raid sirens were heard in the north of Kosovo and Metohija, shooting was heard on the administrative line and the first wounded were reported.

Hundreds of Kosovo Serbs come out to the barricades being erected.

Armed Albanians are gathering in the southern part of Kosovska Mitrovica, units of the Serbian Armed Forces are on full alert.

[REGNUM] A Serb was injured on the barricades in northern Kosovo during clashes with the so-called Kosovo police. This is reported by the portal Kosovo Online.

“Near the Yarina checkpoint, an incident occurred in which Serb N.V. from the village of Leshak was injured, who was taken by ambulance to the Kosovska Mitrovica Clinical and Hospital Center ,” the portal says.

No other details have been provided yet. At the same time, the Kosovo police claim that there were no casualties during the clashes in northern Kosovo.
More from regnum.ru:
Serbia has transferred military aircraft to airfields located near Kosovo, CNN reports, citing informed sources.

Armored vehicles and special forces of the self-proclaimed Kosovo arrived in Kosovska Mitrovica, RT reports.

As REGNUM reported earlier, Kosovo police units moved out of Pristina to the north of Kosovo and Metohija, where protests by local Serbs are taking place. At the same time, the security forces were in full gear and with special equipment. Together with them, several ambulances went north.

Britain
Prince Charles accepted £1m. donation from Saudi bin Laden family
[Jpost] The UK royal family member reportedly met with the half-brothers of September 11 terrorist Osama bin Laden to accept the generous donation to his charity.

Britsh royal family member Charles, the Prince of Wales, received a one million pound donation to his charity from the family of Saudi-born terrorist and al-Qaeda founder Osama bin Laden, The Sunday Times reported on Saturday.

The 73-year-old British prince reportedly met with members of the wealthy bin Laden family, including Osama's half-brothers Bakr and Shafiq. The meetings took place in 2013, two years after bin Laden was shot dead in a US raid on his hideout in Pakistan.

Charles reportedly accepted the bin Laden family's donation, despite the opposition of advisers at the Prince of Wales Charitable Fund (PWCF) and Clarence House, his royal residence.

One staff member reportedly told the prince that the news would cause "national outrage" if it were to be leaked to the media.

WHO ARE BAKR AND SHAFIQ BIN LADEN?
Bakr bin Laden is the former chairman of Jeddah-based construction conglomerate Saudi Binladen Group (SBG), founded by his father Mohammed bin Awad bin Laden, the family patriarch. Bakr was arrested as part of a "corruption crackdown" in Saudi Arabia in November 2017.

Bakr was released from detention in 2019 after he transferred all of his stakes in SBG to the Saudi government. He was the largest shareholder of the group, having a 23.58% holding.

Shafiq, his lesser known brother, was among the 13 bin Laden family members to leave the United States in the aftermath of the September 11 attacks, orchestrated by half-brother Osama. They are related through their late Yemeni-born billionaire father.

CHARLES 'TOO EMBARRASSED TO RETURN MONEY'
Sources inside the royal family told the Sunday Times that the donation could undermine the reputations of Charles and his charity, adding that "there are other sources of money in the world" and that "it would not be good for anybody" if news of the donation broke.

However, the sources added that prince deemed it "too embarrassing" to hand the money back to the bin Laden family, the report said. One of the household staff at Clarence House was reportedly "very vociferous" with the prince but was "shouted down."

The Prince of Wales' office disputed many of the claims made in the report, explaining the decision to accept the donation was "taken solely by trustees."

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
Ukrainian Perspective: Invasion of Ukraine: July 31st, 2022
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Korrespondent] 22:41 Zelensky said in an evening video message that strategically Russia has no chance of winning this war: "And you need to hold on so that the terrorist state feels its loss at the tactical levels. You need to stay in the south, in the east and everywhere. Stay on the defensive , in diplomacy, in politics. Preserve our unity - and not only before victory, but also after it, in order to qualitatively restore everything destroyed by the occupiers."

20:33 The Parliament of Montenegro adopted a resolution in which it strongly condemned the open act of aggression and military intervention of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, and called on the Russian authorities to urgently stop the hostilities.

20:14 Assault and army aviation of the Russian Federation hit Avdeevka, Novoselovka and Yuryevka. The invaders tried to advance in the areas of Kamenka and Peskov, but the assault failed. However, in the Avdiivka area, individual enemy units have partial success, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.

19:59 The Russians launched two Iskander-type missiles from the territory of Crimea in the Odessa region, OK Pivden reported. From the explosion of rockets in the air in the Odessa region, the so-called heat traps scattered - they look like an unexploded projectile or have the shape of a dart with an orange tail. The command warns that this is a dangerous thing, since it has a high combustion temperature and can cause large-scale burns. There is no information about the victims yet.

18:57 A battalion-tactical group of the Russian Airborne Forces was transferred to Crimea in order to send it to war in Ukraine, Vadim Skibitsky, a representative of the GUR MOU, told Radio Liberty: "There is constant movement. They have strengthened the air defense system. They understand that there is a threat." According to Skibitsky, the planes deliver missiles for the S-300 and S-400 air defense systems to Crimea.

"Military goods are constantly being transported to the Crimean peninsula. Therefore, transport workers in Crimea are not news to us... Other military cargo is being moved. Personnel are moving," the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate said.

18:48 Soon, in Ukraine, for the first time since February 24, an airport can start operating: the Transcarpathian Regional Council has allocated 26 million hryvnias for the Uzhhorod Airport, Head of the Regional Council Volodymyr Chubirko said. According to him, this is the only airport in Ukraine that can operate for passenger traffic, because the runway starts from Slovakia and ends in Slovakia. The take-off board enters the sky of the EU, not Ukraine, which is now closed.

18:43 A rocket attack was carried out on the territory of one of the communities in the Odessa region, the rocket hit the quarry, information about the victims is being specified, the district military administration said.

18:22 Maxar satellite imagery of the Yelenovka colony appears to show traces of dug graves, analyst Oliver Alexander and Bellingcat founder Eliot Higgins said. According to Higgins, the movement of soil on the territory of the colony occurred in the region of July 18-21, that is, more than a week before the death of Ukrainian prisoners of war. From this, Alexander concludes that the military could have been killed earlier than it was reported to the "DNR".

18:09 Nikolaev becomes the second Mariupol - about 40 rockets were fired at the city tonight, the head of the regional council Anna Zamazeeva said: "This is one of the largest shelling of the city since the beginning of a full-scale invasion. I repeat - the city is being purposefully killed."

17:50 Operational command Pivden warns of the highest possible threat of rocket attacks from the sea. In the Black Sea near the Crimean coast from Cape Tarkhankut to Novorossiysk, 17 warships and boats of the Black Sea Fleet are maneuvering, including six carriers of Caliber cruise missiles (44 missiles) and four large landing ships.

17:29 Putin approved the Marine Doctrine of the Russian Federation, according to which the main threat to Russia's national security in the oceans is "the US course towards dominance and the growth of NATO activity." The priorities in the "national interests" section include the development of the Arctic zone and the Northern Sea Route, as well as the right to lay submarine cables and pipelines and provide opportunities for the construction of aircraft carriers.

17:18 In Sevastopol, a yellow level of terrorist threat is introduced after an incident with an explosion near the headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation, said "governor" Mikhail Razvozhaev.

16:47 The first ship with grain is likely to leave Ukraine on Monday, August 1, Turkish presidential spokesman Ibrahim Kalin told the Star newspaper. According to him, Ankara is in constant contact with the Ukrainian and Russian sides. Kalyn also noted that the dialogue should be maintained not only in terms of the grain agreement, but also in other areas: "If the agreement on the supply of grain is successful, it is possible that peace negotiations will begin."

16:21 Russia does not respond to Ukraine's demand to return the bodies of the dead prisoners in Yelenovka, Vereshchuk said at a briefing in Kremenchug: "The Ombudsman made a statement, we, as authorized officers, also made requests. So far, there is no response from Russia."

15:33 60% of the population left Melitopol, but even if there are no people left in the city, the invaders will bring their own to shoot propaganda videos about the "referendum," Mayor Ivan Fyodorov said. According to him, since Monday, people have been forced to take a special pass from the commandant's office to leave. During the day, the invaders release no more than 200-300 cars. And in the queue - more than 800 cars with those wishing to leave the occupied territory.

15:18 Podolyak said that, in his opinion, the death of Alexei Vadatursky was not an accident, but a deliberate and organized premeditated murder.

15:16 The Ukrainian harvest this year may be halved, Zelensky said: "Our main goal is to prevent a global food crisis caused by the Russian invasion. We are finding alternative ways to deliver grain."

14:44 Reznikov thanked Italy for the new military aid package for Ukraine. What exactly will be included in the package is not reported.

14:37 In the village of Novoye Zalesye, Buchansky district, Kiev region, police officers found the body of another civilian killed by the Russians, said Andriy Nebitov, head of the Kiev region police. The body was found next to the abandoned positions of the Russian military. The hands of the deceased were tied with a rope fastened through an iron carabiner of a towing cable. It was also wound around the neck of the deceased. Everything indicates that the man was strangled before his death.

14:16 The occupiers are withdrawing personnel from the territory of the villages of Verkhniy Tokmak and Chernigovka in the Zaporozhye region after the attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the night of July 29, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense reports. About 40 wounded were taken to the hospital in the city of Pologi. Almost all units were withdrawn from Chernigovka. Currently, several checkpoints and no more than 100 soldiers remain near the settlement. The rest of the occupiers, along with equipment, were distributed in the cities of Tokmak and Berdyansk.

When leaving the settlements, the Russians are trying to create the appearance of a planned rotation. In fact, they intend to completely leave the village and have begun mining access roads, intelligence noted.

13:44 The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation stated that the Russian Aerospace Forces struck at the deployment point of the Kraken formation on the territory of the technical school in Kharkov.

13:31 Russian senator from Crimea Olga Kovitidi said that the drone attack on the headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet was carried out from Sevastopol, operational-search work is underway to find the perpetrators.

13:18 Podolyak said that what happened in Yelenovka is a terrorist attack: "The media continue to write about the" attack on Yelenovka. "But is there at least one proof of the impact? 1. Satellite images show that only one building was damaged. the prisoners were transferred right before the attack. 3. Analysis of the photo indicates a thermobaric explosion from the inside. Impact? No, a terrorist attack."

12:57 The command of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that the Russians did not dare to spend the day of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol and came up with a reason to cancel the events. With statements about an allegedly Ukrainian drone in Sevastopol, the enemy recognizes his air defense as incapable and casts even more doubt on the existence of the Crimean bridge, the Navy notes.

12:40 The head of the CAA of Kryvyi Rih, Oleksandr Vilkul, announced rewards for traitors helping the invaders: 50,000 hryvnias for fire spotters, information gatherers and saboteurs, as well as 10,000 hryvnias for agitators of the "Russian world".

12:06 Vladimir Rogov, a representative of the "administration" of the occupied Zaporozhye region, said that "representatives of 16 countries, including those from the EU and North America," are allegedly ready to become observers at a pseudo-referendum on joining the Russian Federation.

11:29 British intelligence reports that the Russian Federation continues to use the territory of Belarus to strike at Ukraine. Analysts say Lukashenka is following Moscow's line in the war, his regime is becoming increasingly authoritarian, and baseless accusations against the West indicate that the Belarusian president has become almost completely dependent on Russia.

11:27 Putin said that the supply of Zircon hypersonic missiles to the troops will begin in the coming months.

11:17 The Red Cross said that its representatives were not allowed to the site of the explosion in Yelenovka, contrary to the requirements of the Geneva Convention.

11:13 The first caravan of 16 dry cargo ships with Ukrainian grain will arrive in Turkey on August 3, CNN Turk reports. At the initiative of Ankara, the first ships with grain will then proceed to the shores of Somalia.

10:39 A colony in the occupied Yelenovka, Donetsk region, where Ukrainian prisoners of war were massively killed, was blown up from the inside - this is confirmed by new satellite images from Maxar. They were published by American journalist Christopher Miller.

10:33 In the Sumy region, the Russians fired at the Miropol community from mortars and cannon artillery early in the morning, said the head of the OVA Dmitry Zhivitsky. The farm caught fire as a result of the shelling. Zhivitsky also specified that as a result of Saturday shelling of the Seredino-Budskaya community, one person was killed and two were injured.

10:20 As a result of night shelling of Nikolaev the owner of one of the largest agricultural companies of Ukraine Nibulon Alexey Vadatursky and his wife were lost , people's deputy Alexey Goncharenko reported. Vadatursky was 74 years old. In 2021, Forbes Ukraine estimated his fortune at $430 million. He was in the top 100 richest Ukrainians.

09:47 Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas reacted to the massacre of Azov residents in Yelenovka: "Once again, we are witnessing the cruel and heinous crimes committed by Russia. The massacre of Ukrainian prisoners of war in Yelenovka repeats the darkest pages of history. There should be no impunity for war crimes, just as there can be no return to relations with war criminals."

09:26 In the Donetsk region, as a result of Russian shelling, three civilians per day were killed - two in Reznikovka and one in Maidan. Eight more people were injured, Pavel Kirilenko, head of the OVA, said.

09:21 In Nikolaev as a result of night attacks one person was lost, two are wounded. The buildings of a hotel, a sports complex, two educational institutions, a service station and private houses were damaged, said the head of the OVA, Vitaly Kim.

09:04 The General Staff announced the approximate losses of the enemy on the morning of July 31. The enemy suffered the greatest losses in the Donetsk direction.

  • personnel - about 40,830 (+160) people liquidated,

  • tanks - 1763 (+4),

  • armored combat vehicles - 4004 (+9),

  • artillery systems - 916 (+10),

  • MLRS - 259 (+1),

  • air defense systems - 117 (+0),

  • aircraft - 223 (+1),

  • helicopters - 190 (+0),

  • UAV operational-tactical level - 735 (+2),

  • cruise missiles - 174 (+0),

  • ships/boats - 15 (+0),

  • automotive equipment and tankers - 2902 (+13),

  • special equipment - 80 (+2).

08:51 In the Dnipropetrovsk region, Russians fired at two districts - Nikopol and Krivorozhsky, said the head of the OVA Valentin Reznichenko. In particular, up to 50 shells from Gradov were fired at residential areas of Nikopol, one person was wounded. And in the morning, the enemy attacked Nikopol with two cruise missiles, the extent of the destruction and information about the victims are being specified.

08:38 The American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) believes that Russian troops are likely to give preference to offensive operations in the direction of Bakhmut and around Donetsk due to efforts to take Seversk and Slavyansk. Analysts say it is highly unlikely that Russian offensives will end up capturing Bakhmut or making gains west of Donetsk, even if they manage to take the towns of Avdiivka and Peski.

ISW also reports that Ukrainian troops thwarted a Russian assault in the Kherson region with preemptive artillery strikes.

Satellite imagery with geolocation showed the build-up of the Russian army from June 19 to July 28 in Urazovo, Belgorod region, 12 km east of the border. It is possible that Russian troops are increasing the amount of military equipment in the area to support the advance from Izyum to the west, experts believe.

08:12 "Governor" of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev said that a Ukrainian drone allegedly attacked the headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet, five people were injured, all festive events in honor of the Navy Day in the city were canceled for security reasons. In turn, the speaker of the Odesa OVA, Sergei Bratchuk, said that reports of a Ukrainian attack on the headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol are an outright provocation: "The liberation of our Crimea from the occupiers will not happen this way and much more effectively. Everything has its time."

07:45 In the Slavic and Bakhmut directions, the Russians conducted assault operations, but suffered losses and retreated, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said in the morning report .

06:18 Nikolaev was subjected to massive shelling at night - "probably the strongest of all time," the mayor of the city, Alexander Senkevich, said. Powerful explosions were heard after 1:00 and around 5:00. A number of objects were destroyed, residential buildings were damaged, fires broke out.

04:53 Kharkiv Mayor Igor Terekhov reported on night shelling of the city. In particular, there is information about the shelling of the Nemyshlyansky district. Previously, there is damage to several buildings.

00:59 In the Kherson region, the invaders continue to prepare for the "referendum", a "voyage" of State Duma deputies was planned, but someone "leaked" their travel schedule, said Yuriy Sobolevsky, First Deputy Chairman of the Kherson Regional Council. Now, according to him, the Russians will have to change the schedule of the tour, moreover, it is possible that Moscow officials "will have to take the water" to get to Kherson.

00:26 The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation stated that Russia "in the interests of an objective investigation of the strike on the pre-trial detention center in Yelenovka" officially invited experts from the UN and the Red Cross.

00:03 Assault aircraft of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on July 30 launched powerful air strikes in several strategic directions. Two field ammunition depots, two company strongholds, up to 20 units of armored combat vehicles, dozens of invaders were destroyed, the command of the Air Force reports.

Iraq
Four killed, one injured in a landmine blast in Jalawla

However,
the man who has no enemies isn't anybody and has never done anything...
the corpse count rose to four when two of the injured persons succumbed to their severe injuries in the hospital.

"All the victims are less than 16 years old," the source continued, "the bodies were transferred to the forensic medicine department. The security forces started an investigation into the incident."

Africa North
At least 16 killed in attacks in NE Mali
[Al Ahram] At least 16 people were killed in two-midweek attacks in northeastern Mali by suspected jihadists on encampments of nomadic rustics, local sources told AFP on Sunday.

"The killings took place in the evening between Wednesday and Thursday with the same modus operandi: assailants on cycle of violences who came into the camp, shot at people indiscriminately from close range, then take away their livestock," said a source close to the authorities in Menaka, the region near the Niger border where the attacks happened.

The first attack targeted a nomadic camp about 50 kilometres (30 miles) from the region's capital, also called Menaka. Twelve people were killed

In the other attack "gunnies" targeted another camp at Inekar Tadriante, killing five, the source added.

Leaders of the Tuareg nomadic community posted on social networks in recent days of "massacres of civilians" by the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
in the Greater Sahara (EIGS), affiliated to the Islamic State group, which operated in the border regions between Mali, Niger and Burkina Faso
...The country in west Africa that they put where Upper Volta used to be. Its capital is Oogadooga, or something like that. Its president is currently Blaise Compaoré, who took office in 1987 and will leave office feet first, one way or the other...
They put the overall corpse count from the two attacks at 16.

The region has become increasingly violent mostly peaceful and unstable since Tuareg separatist rebels rose up against the government in 2012.

Jihadist fighters took advantage of their rebellion to launch their own offensive, threatening the capital Bamako in the south until a French-led force pushed them back in 2013.

The Tuareg separatists and the government agreed to a peace accord in 2015, but it has yet to be applied.

So now Mali's weak, national government faces both separatist and jihadist insurgencies in the north of the country -- a largely desert region that is all but devoid of state infrastructure.

A recent report by UN Secretary-General António Guterres
...Portuguese politician and diplomat, ninth Secretary-General of the United Nations. Previously, he was the UN High Commissioner for Refugees between 2005 and 2015. He was the Prime Minister of Portugal from 1995 to 2002 and was the Secretary-General of the Socialist Party from 1992 to 2002. He served as President of the Socialist International from 1999 to 2005. In both a 2012 and 2014 poll, the Portuguese public ranked him as the best Prime Minister of the previous 30 years...
said the so-called three-border region with Niger and Burkina Faso had seen a "significant deterioration" in security.

-Short Attention Span Theater-
Scottish Woman Drank 20 Cans of IrnBru a Day for Years
[MSN] A Scottish woman who drank 20 cans of Irn-Bru a day for 25 years has finally managed to kick the habit, which she claims is thanks to hypnotism.

Carole Lamond, 57, would spend £3,000-a-year on the Scottish fizzy drink, which she first became hooked on as a young girl in Glasgow, before she moved to London.

When she returned to Scotland some 25 years ago, she apparently picked the habit up where she left off.

But the spate of coronavirus lockdowns, during which the HR manager worked from home, sent her addiction spiralling, and she began drinking about 20 cans of Irn-Bru each day.

She began to hide cans of the fizzy drink around the house so her husband William, 52, would not find out the extent of her dependency.

During two years of lockdown she drank almost 15,000 Irn-Brus —the equivalent of 94,000g of sugar and 450,000mg of caffeine — as she splashed out £60 a week on 24 packs.

"We could have bought several family holidays for the money I was spending. My recycling bin was overflowing each week with cans of Irn-Bru," she said.

"I would even take secret trips to the dump to dispose of the empty cans. I was like a drug addict trying to conceal my problem. I was literally chain drinking it."

She knew she needed to kick the habit when she was hospitalized in June this year after suffering dizzy spells, fainting and heart palpitations.

"It was the wake up call I needed really. I knew the amount of Irn-Bru I was drinking had something to do with it," Ms Lamond said.

"I’d had spells of dizziness and fainting and they couldn’t find anything wrong although they suspected a stroke at first. I even had scans for a brain tumour which is pretty scary but I knew that drinking all this Irn-Bru was to blame.

"We always had Irn-Bru in the house when I was a little girl as my mum would drink it. It is the Scottish national drink afterall.
See the pictures at the link. She somehow avoided getting fat while drinking all that sugar. Maybe the caffeine helped her burn it off.

Iraq
Al-Sadr praises the ''liberation'' of the Green Zone
[SHAFAQ] The leader of the Sadrist movement, Moqtada Tater al-Sadr
...hereditary Iraqi holy man and leader of a political movement in Iraq. He had his hereditary rival al-Khoei assassinated shortly after the holy rival's appearance out of exile in 2003. Formerly an Iranian catspaw, lately he's gagged over some of their more outlandish antics, then went back to catspawry...
, on Sunday announced the "liberation" of the Green Zone, calling on his followers to push for a complete overhaul of the political system, including a new constitution, and expel the country's elites whom he condemned as corrupt.

"The peaceful spontaneous revolution that liberated the Green Zone is a golden opportunity to all the people who beared the brunt of injustice, terrorism, corruption, invasion, and dependence," the firebrand
...firebrands are noted more for audio volume and the quantity of spittle generated than for any actual logic in their arguments...
Shiite holy man tweeted.

Al-Sadr said that a "first golden opportunity" was missed back in 2016, deeming the recent developments a "great opportunity for a radical change in the political system, constitution, and election."

Addressing the people of Iraq, the populist leader called for disarming the militias, tightening the grip of law, and prosecutes the militias and corrupt people.

"You are responsible, you are all at stake," he concluded, "either an Iraq that stands high among the nations or a dependent Iraq that is controlled by proxies and corrupt people, and hands from the east and the west."

World and regional powers have expressed their concerns over the political escalation in Iraq after the seizure of the parliament building by the mercurial holy man supporters, pushing a months-long struggle to form the next government into uncharted territory.

The brinkmanship has rattled his political opponents, some of whom command well-armed militia groups linked to Iran. This has led to fears of renewed civil war, since al-Sadr also commands large numbers of armed supporters.

For the second time in less than a week, al-Sadr flexed his muscles, ordering thousands of his followers back to the heavily fortified government complex on Saturday. Despite security forces using tear gas and water cannons, the crowds tore down concrete blast walls protecting the site.

Once inside the sprawling complex known as the Green Zone -home to key government buildings including the cabinet office, parliament, foreign embassies and residences of senior politicians- they announced an open-ended sit-in.

At least 125 people —100 protesters and 25 security personnel, were maimed, according to the Health Ministry.

Al-Sadr, who is conveying his messages and instructions to the protesters through aides on social media, has not yet declared his demands clearly or responded to calls for dialogue.

Emerging as a clear winner in October's national election with 73 seats in the 329-seat parliament, al-Anbar's Sadr sought to form a majority government with Sunni and Kurdish allies, sidelining his Iran-backed rivals, the Coordination Framework.

But the CF — an umbrella group that consists of influential Tehran-allied militias and political parties — with some smaller parties not directly aligned to Tehran derailed al-Sadr’s efforts through different means.

A series of legal challenges and parliament session boycotts to block candidates put forward by al-Sadr's allies for the role of president, a vital step in government formation, combined with alleged intimidation tactics, forced him to order his MPs to resign last month.

That has given the CF the lead to form the government. In the past week, al-Sadr voiced a series of angry objections when the CF nominated Shiite politician Mohammed Shiaa al-Sudani for the role of prime minister.

He has called al-Sudani a "shadow" of his rival, former prime minister Nouri Al Maliki, one of the senior CF leaders. The years-long antagonism between the two men has been one of the reasons behind the delay in forming a new government, more than 10 months since national elections were held.

As the CF pushed to hold a parliament session on Thursday to choose a new president — who in turn has to task the largest political bloc to nominate a prime minister, al-Sadr's followers briefly occupied parliament. al-Sadr said the move was a "warning".

As the parliament planned to hold a session on Saturday, the Sadrists once again entered, prompting the parliament speaker to suspend all sessions until further notice.

The quickly unfolding events have raised the stakes and deepened the struggle for influence between al-Sadr and his Iran-backed rivals.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
About the course of the NWO. 07/31/2022
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Questions and answers provided by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin:

[ColonelCassad] - The advertised attack on Kherson of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is not visible. Except for him an attempt to expand the bridgehead on the left bank of the Ingulets. What does the dynamics look like on this sector of the front?

- Positional battles continue here with periodic attempts by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to attack with small forces in the Krivoy Rog and Nikopol directions. The latest attempts ended not very well for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but they will certainly be repeated. A direct attack on Kherson from Nikolaev looks unlikely.

As a maximum, they can try to reduce the bridgehead of the RF Armed Forces on the right bank of the Dnieper.

The RF Armed Forces are accumulating forces in the Nikolaev direction, in view of which the enemy started talking about a possible offensive of the RF Armed Forces on Nikolaev.

Attacks on bridges have not yet made a fundamental change in the dynamics of hostilities.

- The positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Avdievka are being ironed by artillery and VKS for several days. Activation near Krasnogorovka, Maryinka, Sand. How to release the specified n.p. will it affect the shelling of the Donetsk-Makiyivka agglomeration, taking into account the fact that the enemy with Western supplies has expanded the geography of shelling?

- The release of these settlements will prevent the enemy from using part of the artillery systems to shell the city, but it should be borne in mind that the presence of heavy MLRS and OTRK retains the ability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to shell Donetsk even from the Krasnoarmeysk region.

Nevertheless, advancement in these areas will certainly reduce the overall intensity of shelling of Donetsk and other settlements. Donetsk agglomeration.

- Channels report on the concentration of forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Bryansk and Kharkov directions (except for Kherson). What can the enemy do here, given that the activity is stopped by the artillery of the RF Armed Forces?

- In the Kharkov direction, the enemy, on the one hand, provides the defense of Kharkov, Chuguev and Zolochev and the retention of the current front line, for which reserves are needed.

On the other hand, local offensive actions may follow in order to recapture several settlements previously occupied by the RF Armed Forces. In the direction of the Bryansk region, one can expect an intensification of shelling and actions of the enemy's DRG.

If we talk about the risks of an offensive by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, then more likely (in addition to Kherson) are the Zaporozhye direction (Vasilyevka, Tokmak, Pologi) and Balakleya in the Izyum direction.

- According to my information, the enemy is trying to advance in the Volnovakha direction. What is he counting on?

- With its activity in this direction, the enemy is trying to improve his tactical position, as well as to divert our command from operations in the Donetsk and Artemovsk directions, forcing additional forces to be transferred here to stabilize the front.

In the current realities, a serious advance of the enemy to Volnovakha is not possible. The offensive at Ugledar showed that the price of even one occupied settlement, like the same Pavlovka, turns out to be too high with minimal tactical benefits.

- The provocations of recent days with the "castration" of the "Ukrainian prisoner", the shelling of the colony in Yelenovka by Khaimars and the death of the captured "Azov" testify to the information war from the West to a new level. What else can we expect? Attacks on the ZNPP?

- I would expect not only new attacks on infrastructure facilities in the liberated territories and on ammunition depots/fuel and lubricants, but also further intensification of terrorist activities on the territory of the Russian Federation.

This activity will receive the full and unconditional support of the West, which will support any terrorist attacks against the Russian Federation, if necessary, facilitating them.

Hence the need to consider the issue of stigmatizing our opponents as terrorists at the official level - this applies to both perpetrators,

- Is it true that Ukraine is refraining from strikes on Sevastopol, the Crimean bridge, Belgorod and Kursk because of fears of the safety of the government quarter in Kyiv?

- As we can see from today's terrorist attack in Sevastopol and the ongoing shelling of the border areas, Zelensky's gang is not particularly worried about the government quarter in Kyiv. The voiced threats of strikes against decision-making centers do not particularly impress the Zelensky gang, much less impress its sponsors. Therefore, in my subjective opinion, more targeted and demonstrative strikes are needed on the centers of the Nazi regime in Ukraine, ranging from regional regional state administrations to the buildings of the SBU and GUR MOU in Kyiv and other cities - in fact, they are no different from the regional offices of ISIS in Syria and Iraq in 2014-2018 From my point of view, these are now legitimate military targets.

- How can the escalation of the situation in Taiwan affect the fighting in Ukraine?

- In the event of a hypothetical outbreak of hostilities in the Taiwan Strait, this will obviously affect the volume of arms supplies to Ukraine, since the United States will, in fact, be forced to fight on two fronts. Plus, the economic tsunami after the start of the war in Taiwan will hit Europe very hard, which threatens it with even more terrible consequences than the rejection of Russian gas.

Therefore, from the point of view of the operation in Ukraine, the aggravation of the crisis around Taiwan is objectively beneficial for the Russian Federation, since it diverts part of the enemy’s forces to another theater of operations.

- What will the mobilization of women give the Kyiv regime? When will the mobilization famine begin in Kyiv?

- It will give some more cannon fodder.

With the continuation of hostilities at the current intensity of manpower, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will have enough to compensate for the large losses for many more months to come, with a general decrease in the quality of personnel. The mobilized women will allow the release of men for the front.

The war strategy to the last Ukrainian assumes that everything that is possible will be raked to the front without a trace. Victims for the organizers of this conveyor are not fundamental. This is a consumable item.

- Why are we not working on the combat control centers and key figures of the enemy's military leadership?

- So far, the most high-profile strikes of this kind are the strike on the headquarters of the Sever OTG and the strike on the command of the Ukrainian Air Force in Vinnitsa.

From my point of view, such strikes are desirable and necessary much more often.

- Will there be any result from the agreements with Iran in terms of deliveries of strike UAVs to Russia?

- I think it's very likely. Deliveries, most likely, will be legalized through the organization of a joint production of drones in Russia.

- According to the military, the logistics of the warring factions, to put it mildly, leaves nothing to be desired. Will the situation in this regard change in almost six months with the beginning of the SVO, and what needs to be changed first of all?

- The situation has improved somewhat compared to the first months, but in matters of supply there are still a lot of problems that help to partially close civilian humanitarian organizations.

There is still a lot of work to be done to increase the systemic state accumulation of funds, increase the efficiency of procurement of the necessary and the speed of delivery of the necessary to the troops. The society here is ready to fully help the state - the main problems are seen in the sluggishness of various elements of the bureaucratic machine and the unpreparedness of logistics structures to conduct combat operations in such a vast theater of operations, which requires a more complex and extensive logistics system than, say, in Syria, not to mention the general volumes needed.

This is an objective problem and it is being solved, albeit not as quickly as I or you would like.

Russian military will receive Zircon complexes in the coming months
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[RIA Novosti] The delivery of Zircon hypersonic missile systems to the Russian army will begin in the coming months, Russian President Vladimir Putin said during a speech at a naval parade in St. Petersburg.

“Suffice it to mention the latest Zircon hypersonic missile systems, which have no analogues in the world, for which there are no barriers. Dear comrades, their delivery to the Russian Armed Forces will begin in the coming months,” the head of state said.

According to him, the frigate of the Northern Fleet "Admiral Gorshkov" will be the first ship to take up combat duty "with this formidable weapon" on board.

"The area where the ship will serve will be chosen based on the interests of ensuring Russia's security," the president added.

Zircon is the world's first hypersonic cruise missile capable of sustained aerodynamic flight with maneuvering in dense layers of the atmosphere using its own engine thrust.

The maximum speed of the rocket reaches about nine speeds of sound (about 2.65 kilometers per second at an altitude of 20 kilometers, or more than ten thousand kilometers per hour). The maximum range is one thousand kilometers.

In early June, the commander of the Northern Fleet, Admiral Alexander Moiseev, announced that the frigate Admiral Gorshkov had successfully completed a test cycle of the Zirkon missile, during which it hit a sea target located in the White Sea at a distance of about a thousand kilometers.

Rozhin: Escalation in Kosovo. 07/31/2022
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[ColonelCassad] The escalation in Kosovo began a little earlier than expected. The Pristina authorities promised to block the entry of cars with Serbian numbers from tomorrow.

However, today at 18.30 Moscow time, air raid sirens went off in the northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica. Then information was received about shooting at the administrative line, as a result of which a Serb was wounded.

▪️ In the area of Dudin Krsh (municipality of Zvecan), the forces of the Kosovo special forces ROSU arrived. The Serbs began to build the first barricades near the village of Rudare, blocked the Pristina-Leposavich highway.

▪️The Kosovo police closed the administrative crossings "Brnjak" and "Yarinje" for entry and exit. At the Rudnitsa administrative crossing, only cars with Kosovo license plates are allowed through.

▪️Albanians gather in the southern part of Kosovska Mitrovica, many of them are armed

▪️Separate units of the Serbian army are pulled to the border, put on full alert and awaiting orders.

The Serbian leadership claims that the "Kosovo army" plans to attack the Serbs tonight. Vučić plans to address the nation.
Those around him publicly talk about the need for denazification in the Balkans.

Briefly about my position on Kosovo and Serbia.

1. Kosovo is Serbia.
2. I fully support any adequate actions to protect the Serbian population of Kosovo by Belgrade.
3. Kosovo will sooner or later return to its native harbor.
4. The Kosovo Liberation Army and its descendants are a terrorist organization.

#1  Here Badanov. Your Russian co-countrymen are preaching slavery for Ukrainian kids and everyone here needs to know, this is Russian state TV. Putin often has meetings with these people to tell them what to say.
Course lots of the supporters of Russia are right wing southerners in the USA who see Russia as a beacon of white power so slavery ain't really all that is it? This probably excites those people.

IMF Concedes that the Russian Economy is Doing Better Than Expected in the face of the Collective West's Sanctions
[BIGLEAGUEPOLITICS] In a recently published report, Russia’s economy is performing better than expected despite the barrage of sanctions imposed on it by the Collective West after the launch of its special military operation campaign in Ukraine.

This sanctions campaign was designed to effectively deplatform and cancel Russia from the entire liberal economic system and collapse its economy, thus hindering its capacity to carry out its military operation in Ukraine.

Despite these sanctions, the Russian economy appears to be humming along as witnessed by the country’s GDP estimate. According to the International Monetary Fund’s most recent World Economic Outlook published on July 26, 2022, this GDP estimate was upgraded by 2.5%.

The IMF argued that Russia’s economic downturn was not as bad as expected due to "the Russian central bank and the Russian policymakers have been able to stave off a banking panic or financial meltdown when the sanctions were first imposed," IMF chief economist Pierre-Olivier Gourinchas said to AFP in an interview.

In addition, Gourinchas observed that rising energy prices are "providing an enormous amount of revenues to the Russian economy."

The IMF report noted, "Russia’s economy is estimated to have contracted during the second quarter by less than previously projected, with crude oil and non-energy exports holding up better than expected."

The IMF highlighted that Europe is facing major blowback from the sanctions due to its dependence on Russian energy. Press TV reported that the "situation could worsen dramatically if Moscow cuts off gas exports to Europe."

Russia’s economic overperformance has dealt another blow to the credibility of so-called "experts" who predicted it would collapse. Russia is more than just a gas station with nukes. Unlike the overly financialized economies in the Collective West whose manufacturing bases have been hollowed out, Russia has real resources ranging from gas, agriculture, and minerals to keep it afloat in the face of a full-fledged economic war. Obviously, Russia will face some stumbling blocks as it restructures its economy and looks more eastward for new markets. Nevertheless, this could prove to be a blessing in disguise given the West’s degraded economic and cultural state.

After each passing day, it’s becoming clearer that the future is looking more Eurasian in nature.

In the United States, they revealed where Ukrainian money is actually flowing
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[RIA Novosti] Funds allocated as aid to Ukraine are actually returning back to the United States without reaching the recipient, Colonel Douglas McGregor,
..West Point class of ‘76, US Army (Gulf War I, Kosovo), author of Breaking the Phalanx...
a former adviser to the Secretary of Defense,
...that would be Donald Rumsfeld, not whoever has the title now...
said in an interview with the Judging Freedom YouTube channel.
Been saying that for months, now. Welcome to the party, pal.
“We must not forget about money. All these billions of dollars, where are they? Most of them simply do not reach Ukraine. Huge sums end up in the Pentagon as compensation to the armed forces for the fact that equipment and resources were transferred to Europe,” he said.

With the help of the returned money, the manufacture of new equipment and weapons is paid for, McGregor explained, calling the scheme a "vicious circle" and a "scam".

Western countries continue to pump weapons to Ukraine. Earlier, US President Joe Biden signed the lend-lease law, tens of billions of dollars are allocated for military assistance to Kiev. Moscow, in turn, has repeatedly stated that the supply of weapons only prolongs the conflict, and transport with them becomes a legitimate target for the Russian Aerospace Forces.

#2  Let's complete the cycle:

Equipment goes to Ukraine -->

Money to replace equipment for US Military goes to Pentagon -->

Pentagon gives money to US defense contractors to manufacture new equipment -->

Defense contractors make generous contributions to their pet politicians in the Beltway.

IOW:

Taxpayers get the shaft while defense contractors use the money to bribe politicians for even more. It doesn't matter who wins the war. When this one is over they'll find/start a new one. All that matters is that the money keeps flowing.

Pay attention here, Forkbeard. You and your countrymen are being used as cannon fodder by cynical American politicians who don't really give a rat's ass about you. See Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Libya, etc., etc., etc. If they don't even care about all the American boys who get killed, why would they care about you? Get it?

On 14 August 2021, the night before the Taliban took control of Kabul, Shabhnam Dawran was preparing to present the prime time news show on Tolo News and Radio Television Afghanistan.

In recent days, the Taliban had swept across Afghanistan and had now reached the outskirts of the capital.

When she woke the next morning, Kabul had fallen to the militant group.

A Taliban member, with the group's black and white flag behind him, was now sitting in the same seat in the studio where Shabhnam had sat the night before.

Russian official says Ukraine carried out drone attack on Black Sea fleet HQ
[DAWN] A bigwig in Russian-annexed Crimea accused Ukraine on Sunday of carrying out a drone attack ahead of planned celebrations to mark Navy Day, injuring five and forcing the cancellation of festivities.

The accusation comes hours before Russian President Vladimir Putin
...President-for-Life of Russia. He gets along well with other presidents for life. He is credited with bringing political stability and re-establishing something like the rule of law, which occasionally results in somebody dropping dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substance. Under Putin, a new group of business magnates controlling significant swathes of Russia's economy has emerged, all of whom have close personal ties to him. The old bunch, without close personal ties to Putin, are in jail or in exile or dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substances...
is due to oversee Navy Day celebrations in his hometown of St Petersburg and approve Russia’s naval doctrine as Moscow presses on with its military intervention in Ukraine.

"An unidentified object flew into the courtyard of the fleet’s headquarters," Mikhail Razvozhayev, governor of Sevastopol, home to Russia’s Black Sea fleet, wrote on the Telegram messaging app.

"According to preliminary information, it is a drone."

He said Ukraine had decided to "spoil Navy Day for us".

The Ukrainian defence ministry did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Razvozhayev said that five employees of the fleet headquarters had been injured in the incident and that the Federal Security Service
... the successor to the KGB...
(FSB) was investigating its circumstances.

"All celebrations have been cancelled for security reasons," Razvozhayev said. "Please remain calm and stay home if possible."

Navy Day is an annual Russian holiday during which its fleets stage naval parades and honour its sailors.

Russia annexed Crimea from Ukraine in March 2014, prompting a major row with the West which deepened over Moscow’s role in an insurgency of pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine.

NDLEA intercepts London, Dubai-bound drugs at Lagos seaport
[PUNCHNG] Personnel of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency have intercepted no fewer than 2,750,000 tablets of Tramadol 225mg weighing 1,650 kilograms worth N1,375,000,000 at the Apapa seaport in Lagos.

The PUNCH gathered that the consignment, packed in 55 cartons of Tapentadol and Carisoprodol types of Tramadol, was seized during the examination of a container, numbered: SUDU 7538656 on Saturday, July 30, following credible intelligence.

This comes on the heels of similar efforts by anti-narcotic officers at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja that thwarted bids by narcos to export various psychoactive substances to London — the United Kingdom, Dubai, and the United Arab Emirates through the Lagos airport in the past week, leading to the arrest of at least five suspects in connection to the attempts so far.

A statement by the anti-narcotics agency’s Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, read, "On Monday, July 25, a Dubai, UAE-bound passenger one Ms Ebhodaghei Osenemeshen was intercepted during the outward clearance of travellers on Rwanda Air via Kigali to Dubai. Discovered in her luggage were sachets of Tramadol 225mg concealed inside gari, a cassava product packed among other foodstuffs.

"She, however, claimed that the bag was given to her by someone who she passed the night in his house before coming to the airport to help deliver it to another person in Dubai. The following day, Tuesday, July 26, a total of 50 blocks of cannabis Sativa with a total weight of 27.1kg concealed inside a large quantity of crayfish going to London, UK as part of a consolidated cargo were seized at the SAHCO export shed.

"The same day, a Dubai-bound female passenger, Rachel Emebradu, was arrested with 1.8kg cannabis packed inside bitter leaf in her luggage while attempting to board a Rwanda Air flight to UAE via Kigali. The mother of one who hails from Oghara in Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State said she was into selling men’s wear before she decided to travel to Dubai to expand her clothing business. She claimed her ex-boyfriend that lives in Dubai, requested her to bring the bag containing the illicit substance along with foodstuff."

In the same vein, personnel at the NAHCO import shed of the airport on Saturday, July 30, evacuated cartons of khat leaf with a total weight of 51.50kg. The consignment had earlier come in from Sierra Leone on a Royal Air Moroc flight.

Consumer economy and sanctions: what is the difference between the situations in the West and in Russia
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Pavel Kukhmirov

[Sevastopol] Swiss Nestle SA, one of the world's largest food manufacturers, after assessing its Russian business in accordance with IFRS, concluded that changes in the operating and legal environment in Russia did not affect its control over Russian operations.

According to Interfax , in addition, Nestle has not made write-offs related to business in Russia, even despite a significant reduction in operations. However, it recognized write-offs of 71 million francs related to real estate and industrial equipment in Russia.

In the first half of 2022, Nestle decreased net profit by 12 percent, but increased revenue by 9 percent and improved its full-year forecast.

As we can see, not all market participants were hit by the sanctions to any significant extent. However, in general, the old economy of consumption has changed a lot amid the sanctions confrontation. And not only in Russia. There is an opinion that the sanctions only made it possible for the Russian economy and consumers to face this crisis a little earlier than the start of the global market.

And the world market is already catching up with this crisis. For example, this is the second catastrophic drop in Walmart shares in one day by 8.5 percent this year. Previously, something like this happened in May. And this event is significant, since these shares were volatile two times less than the so-called "broad market index". So their fall was not only a shock to the retail store industry, but also a blow to consumer confidence in general.

And this, against the backdrop of expected negative forecasts for GDP, can push the state of affairs in the US towards a recession. Shares of other players in the same segment (Target, Amazon and others) also sag.

Their decline occurs against the backdrop of negative forecasts for revenue and profit, as well as in the presence of overstocking in warehouses. Consumers are starting to cut spending on durable goods (primarily clothing and electronics) amid inflation.

As a result, retailers this year faced unpredictable fluctuations in consumer demand, which led to an increase in stocks of unsold goods. These are the first signs of a crisis in the consumer economy. Initially, they began to be observed during the pandemic, but now, during the energy crisis, they have intensified.

Similar processes in Russia began to be recorded last year - before the start of current events. This was expressed in the fact that almost all major players in the retail market launched programs of their own discounters, which demonstrated significant growth in the final of the year. In fact, they were recognized as the most dynamically developing in retail trade.

And the sanctions against this background, paradoxically, led to a positive effect here: as a result of the rush demand of the beginning of spring, the level of all commodity stocks decreased sharply among retailers. And this has happened across all industries.

The acquisition and importation of new goods for trade took place already in a situation of high instability, and this dictated a completely new, cautious policy in terms of prices and purchase volumes. At the same time, consumers themselves, according to all surveys, expressed high optimism - hostile sanctions did not frighten them. Taken together, these factors suggest that the consumer market in Russia is not heading for a recession. What, oddly enough, cannot be said about the markets of Europe and America. Well, let's see where it all ends up.

Tactical successes
Translated via Google Translate. Edited.

Commentary by Russian blogger Donetsk.

[DONRF] The battles near Donetsk, of course, are not of a strategic nature, and they do not lead to a common Victory, except as one of the steps towards it, but what is happening there is the pinnacle of both the professionalism and heroism of the Donbass infantry.

Peski, Marinka, Krasnogorovka, Avdievka ... suburbs of a huge metropolis left in 14. Abandoned due to lack of forces and under the Minsk agreements. The Ukrainians have been strengthening there for eight years. And from there the artillery terror of the city was and is being carried out.

There is no Peski anymore, the liberators even dismantled houses for building materials, ours went to Maryinka twice - in 2015 and at the beginning of the NWO. Avdievka... the city of coking industry and the railway station, it became the scene of constant battles and artillery duels.

And now the Corps, with the help of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, are taking their own. Difficult. Meter by meter. The fact that the politicians gave in an attempt to solve. And blood. The enemy does everything in order to finally kill and destroy as much as possible. This night MLRS Hurricane from Avdievka mined the center of Donetsk with PFM-1 mines Lepestok. Already on the Web, a video with a blown up civilian car.

Nevertheless, our troops are advancing, and have already left to the north of Avdievka, the fighting is going on in Sands, the Corps has wedged between Maryinka and Krasnogorovka. Slowly and step by step. Heavy price. The towns turned into fortified areas are doomed to destruction, but there is no choice, the militants doomed Donetsk and Makeevka. And they don't negotiate with terrorists.

Especially with those who burn their prisoners alive:

Russia officially invited experts from the UN and the International Red Cross to investigate the attack on the pre-trial detention center in Yelenovka.

And they will answer. For everything you have done on this earth. And the fact that this is not a strategy, everything is just beginning, but one small republic will finally get silence. First silence since 2014. And this is also a lot for those who live there. As a Russian, I understand that this is an episode of a long and bloody confrontation, as a Donetsk resident ... Donbass needs peace. At least partial. Without artillery terror and mining. Roadblocks that divided families and permanent funerals.

US takes out Al Qaeda leader Ayman Al Zawahiri in 'successful' Afghanistan counterterrorism operation
48 Hour Rule.
[FOX] Two intelligence sources tell Fox News Al Qaeda leader Ayman Al Zawahiri was killed in the CIA drone strike.

The United States conducted a "successful" counterterrorism operation against a "significant" Al Qaeda target Ayman Al Zawahiri in Afghanistan over the weekend, a senior administration official told Fox News.

President Biden on Monday night at 7:30 p.m. E.T. is expected to address the nation from the White House on the operation.

"Over the weekend, the United States conducted a counterterrorism operation against a significant Al Qaeda target in Afghanistan," the senior administration official told Fox News Monday. "The operation was successful and there were no civilian casualties."

#9  NYT 21 June 2021 - C.I.A. Scrambles for New Approach in Afghanistan

One focus has been Pakistan. The C.I.A. used a base there for years to launch drone strikes against militants in the country’s western mountains, but was kicked out of the facility in 2011, when U.S. relations with Pakistan unraveled.

#14  Mullah Richard, thank you for working uo an article for us on this.

I did give it today’s headline, and lets see what President Biden has to say — but 48 Hour Rule, guys. Osama bin Laden was killed several times, too, if I recall correctly, as was the founder of ISIS.

#17  After watching the speech on ABC — President Biden looked buffed but unsteady on his feet, poor man — one of the commenters said that we have absolutely no presence on the ground, so the intel must have come from locals.

You are correct, apparently they got word on his location in the spring...and held until now...likely a political decision directed by our amateur National Security Advisor. I don't trust any of the info being released at this point, because at this point nothing is as it seems.

Ole Z was Egypt centric...and apparently lured back to AF by Mr. Haqqani? WTF? I don't understand, but I guess it worked out for us. And now the parlor game is to guess who in the Taliban leadership snitched on Sirajuddin Haqqani and his BFF houseguest Zawahiri? My guess is one of the Taliban Five (Fazl or Wasiq) that returned to Taliban gov service and didn't want to risk a round two tangle with the US...which means Sirajuddin is a marked man (and he should be).

#27  Al Qaeda was kind of ineffective under his leadership. Might have been best to leave him in power rather than risk a bolder, more creative replacement.

#28  /\ Or possibly....

The AeroVironment Switchblade is a miniature loitering munition, designed by AeroVironment and used by several branches of the United States military. Small enough to fit in a backpack, the Switchblade launches from a tube, flies to the target area, and crashes into its target while detonating its explosive warhead. Wikipedia
