I saw an author interviewed on the Steve Bannon's show this a.m.. His name is Dr. Joseph A. Lapado. He is the Surgeon General of Florida under Gov. Ron DeSantis. His new book is "Transcend Fear: A Blueprint for Mindful Leadership in Public Health." It is available in various places. Wikipedia is not particularky kind to the author in their description of the author which to me is a good endorsement. He is also called "controversial." Based on the interview, his book is about his personal journey as well as public health policy. He said he was successful on the outside but a mess on the inside for years. His wife found a good therapist for him; a Navy Seal turned therapist in L.A.. I have not read the book but plan to. It might be a good read.

[PJMEDIA] Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) says that the mullahs will build nukes in order to turn New York City into “hellish ruins.” This is why Iran wants nukes? Eight years of Bill de Blasio and no end to Democratic rule have already succeeded quite well in turning much of the once-great city into “hellish ruins”; why go to all the trouble of nuking the place when the Democrats will finish the job before too long?
Iran expert Ben Sabti tweeted Saturday that a Telegram channel run by the IRGC has threatened to “produce atomic war head for missiles: ‘Iran can immediately return to Emad project and build an #ATOM bomb, if Natanz facilities are attacked.’” The Emad is a long-range missile.
Meanwhile, the Jerusalem Post reported Sunday that “the IRGC-linked Bisimchi Media (Radioman Media) Telegram channel published a video titled ‘When Will Iran’s Sleeping Nuclear Warheads Awaken.’” The video claims that “if the US or the Zionist regime make any stupid mistakes,” the Iranian mullahs will be able to develop nukes quickly.
According to a Saturday report from the dissident news outlet Iran International, the video “also says that uranium enrichment in secret underground facilities of Fordow, near Qom, has brought Iran to the threshold of nuclear breakout and joining the nuclear powers’ club and stresses that transforming the country’s ‘peaceful nuclear program to a nuclear weapons program’ is possible in a very short time.” The video declares: “The nuclear facilities of Fordow have been built deep under mountains of Iran and are protected against trench-busting bombs and even nuclear explosion… all infrastructures required for nuclear breakout have been prepared in it.” That breakout, the IRGC says, will soon give the Iranians the ability to transform New York into “hellish ruins.”
The Iranian mullahs’ desire to help the Democrats complete their plans for New York City is new, but their threats of violence are nothing new. Back in January 2022, the website of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, released a video showing the assassination of Donald Trump and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on the golf course at Mar-a-Lago. This came amid a barrage of threats against Trump for the killing of Quds Force commander Qassem Soleimani in Jan. 2020.
The threats go back years before that as well. On February 11, 2014, the thirty-fifth anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, Iranian Chief of Staff Hassan Firouzabadi boasted: “Iran is prepared for the decisive war against the U.S. and the Zionist regime.…Iran has been making plans, conducting maneuvers, and preparing its forces for this battle for years now.” And it still is.
Nothing has changed since then except that the Iranian regime has gotten closer to producing nuclear weapons. Two weeks ago, Iran’s former Deputy Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Larijani heaped scorn on the Biden administration’s ongoing hapless efforts to get a new nuclear deal with Iran. “The Westerners’ interest in the JCPOA,” said Larijani, referring to a new agreement by the name of the old one, the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, “stems from their belief that it would pull out our atomic teeth, weaken us, and diminish our capabilities. [The way they see it], if one day, we decided to build a nuclear bomb, the [JCPOA] would delay us for over a year, and since this is a long process, the [JCPOA] would gradually disband the teams, since members would grow old, and their replacements would be blocked. In general, the entire nuclear business would become a pointless luxury, and we would abandon it.”
Larijani reminded the world of one of the Iranian regime’s old deceptions: “Naturally, according to the Leader’s fatwa, we are religiously forbidden from obtaining weapons of mass destruction, and this includes nuclear weapons. Nevertheless, if we ever want to do this, nobody will be able to stop us, of course. They themselves know this.…Our nuclear capabilities – our access to nuclear-related knowledge and technology – are the pride of the Islamic world.” And apparently the envy of New York Democrats.
One day the Iranian regime will come to the conclusion that it is finally time to strike. Will the U.S. military be able to tear itself away from its drag show long enough to defend the nation?

[Epoch Times] The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) confirmed it has created a division that will oversee mail-in ballots in future elections.
"We are fully committed to the secure and timely delivery of the nation’s election mail," she told media outlets on July 27.
Several months ago, the Biden administration requested $5 billion to support the USPS’s mail-in voting operations over the next 10 years.
"This proposal expands on the essential public services that the Postal Service provides to the American people and will also help to relieve budget strain on local election offices across the country," the administration wrote in March.
It also includes policies to make "official ballot materials free to mail and reducing the cost of other election-related mail for jurisdictions and voters" while "enhancing the Postal Service’s ability to securely and expeditiously deliver and receive mail in underserved areas," the White House said at the time.

During a podcast appearance on the Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show, the former president voiced his opposition to the U.S. government’s reported offer to swap Griner and U.S. Marine Paul Whelan for Viktor Bout, a convicted Russian arms trafficker.
On the show, Trump maligned Griner as "a potentially spoiled person" who went to Russia "loaded up with drugs," which is an exaggeration of her cannabis arrest.
Brittney Griner, a two-time Olympic gold medalist and seven-time WNBA All-Star was arrested and charged with illegal drug possession and with smuggling a "significant amount" of cannabis. According to the Russian government, customs officers found "vapes" containing hashish oil in Griner’s luggage at an airport close to Moscow. Griner stands little chance of freedom if her fate is left to the Russian criminal justice system, which significantly favors the prosecution.

One of the two could not be wrong. But where was "goodness" really found? The palliative care doctor along with the institutions and global policies she extolled? Or the fleet street cartoonist, and the no less global network of activists and cynics whose suspicions and misgivings he had vividly articulated since the lockdowns began? ...I know the Massillon area pretty well, and this don't surprise me. The big districts tend to monopolize most of the state money, and historically they're all badly managed. The smaller districts have pretty much soaked up all the cash they can from areas whose tax bases have been slowly eroding for decades.
He'll work 12 months at Walmart vs 9 months in the school system. If he only worked 9 months at Walmart per that rate he would take home roughly $42,000 a year. $55,000 - $12,000 = $43,000. You think he could pick up a job for 3 months between school years to give him something more than $1000?

My daughter and her husband are both teachers a nd while in front of students 9 months a year they both have required actions during the summer, also many ‘volunteer’ hours throughout the year.

Driving east on I-80 in north central PeeAve some years ago, I saw oncoming headlights through a pretty heavy snowfall. As the westbound lanes were separated from the east by a couple hundred yards of median there, I got really nervous slowed down and prepared for a bad situation. It was an odd sense of relief I felt when I saw the headlights that should not be there belonged to a car that had just flipped and come to rest upside down on the berm.

Straight and flat. Only one or two places to make a mistake getting on the wrong way for westbound lanes, and they are 8-10 miles west of where the crash occurred (33.5 mile post).
At that time of the morning I'd guess alcohol.

Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin
[ColonelCassad] Briefly for those who are interested in the question of what is happening in Iraq, why government buildings are constantly seized there and how this will affect the war in Ukraine.
1. Iraq in the current realities is a weak state on whose territory there is and will continue to be a proxy war between the US and Iran, as well as a permanent CTO against ISIS.
2. The current system of power in Iraq leaves no prospects for strengthening state power. The system of quotas for power based on national-religious grounds (as in Lebanon or Bosnia) under the conditions of Iraq gives rise to constant crises.
3. Muqtada As-Sadr is objectively the most popular political (and religious, after Al-Sistani) figure in Iraq, but not popular enough to claim full power through the current "democratic" procedures.
4. Al-Sadr shared political power with a pro-Iranian Shiite bloc for some time, but after the latter's relative failure in recent elections (which many consider rigged), he figured he could do without the Iranians, which forced another crisis to brew.
5. Al-Sadr himself cannot form a government, therefore, by manipulating the street, he is trying to impose on Iraq a candidate convenient for him, simultaneously launching slogans about a national revolution and the expulsion of Western and Eastern invaders, alluding to the United States and Iran, along the way trying to take away from Iran the agenda for the expulsion of American invaders from Iraq.
6. The problem is that this path, if Al-Sadr persists, will lead Iraq to civil war, as the pro-Iranian Shiites, Kurds and radial Sunnis will not accept the "Al-Sadr revolution". The US and Iran, of course, are also unlikely to seek to withdraw from Iraq. Plus, there are still numerous ISIS cells in Iraq that regularly attack the army and civilians.
7. At the same time, the problem of US and Israeli support for Kurdish separatism with attempts to separate Iraqi Kurdistan remains. In addition, a permanent Turkish NWO is being waged on the territory of Iraq against the PKK in Qandil and Sinjar, and the Turks do not want to leave northern Iraq.
8. The country itself is mired in poverty and corruption. Democracy has brought only pain and suffering to Iraq, which leads to regular protests against any government.
Of course, the next turmoil in Iraq poses a threat to US plans to increase oil production in Iraq and release it to world markets to lower world prices to fight Russia. The stronger the crisis in Iraq, the more it will affect oil prices. A few days before the next occupation of government buildings, the government announced that it was going to increase oil exports by 2 million barrels a day.
In May, Iraq exported 3.3 million barrels per day. However, the US may sacrifice these prospects for other benefits. A full-fledged civil war in Iraq could make it difficult for Iran to use the "Shiite bridge" (Iran-Iraq-Syria-Lebanon) and hit the Chinese projects of the One Belt - One Road initiative, as well as the interests of Rosneft and Lukoil.

The new guy at CNN pledged to be even handed, but since 2015 they’ve gotten more eyeballs when they post stories about Donald Trump than any other subject. If I recall correctly, their number dropped some terrifyingly huge number after the January 6th thing faded from the headlines.
[NYP] FBI Director Christopher Wray always seems a little too pleased with himself. But on Thursday the smirk may be wiped off his pretty face when Republican members of the House oversight committee start grilling him on the mounting evidence that something is very rotten inside the agency Wray runs.
Top of the list is the curious question of why the FBI apparently did nothing with Hunter Biden’s laptop, which was handed to two agents on Dec. 9, 2019, by John Paul Mac Isaac, the alarmed owner of the computer repair shop near the Biden family homes in Greenville, Del., where Hunter had dropped off his MacBook eight months earlier.
Among other potential crimes to be found on the abandoned laptop, you would expect the FBI to be interested, on national security grounds, in the incriminating evidence of a corrupt foreign influence-peddling scheme run by the Biden family throughout Joe Biden’s vice presidency.
Equally curious is why the FBI apparently did nothing with another voluminous trove of corroborating material, given to them in October 2020 by Hunter’s former business partner, Navy veteran Tony Bobulinski, including emails and other documents which replicate those on Hunter’s laptop.
Bobulinski has said he was interviewed for several hours by FBI agents, as part of an investigation into Hunter, after he held a bombshell press conference on Oct. 22. 2020, alleging that then-Democratic nominee Joe Biden had lied when he claimed to have no involvement in Hunter’s foreign deals. Bobulinski also said that Joe Biden was the "Big Guy" referred to by Hunter’s partners in encrypted messages and intercepted voice messages.

Trump Schedule F is the solution that the Deep State fears above all else I think. Xi’s dire-sounding warning, issued in connection with reports that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi plans to go to Taiwan, suggests either that Xi Jinping perceives Biden to be so weak that he can push him around or that China’s internal problems are so severe that the Communist Party must create an external crisis to distract the Chinese people. In the worst case, both are true.
For about a decade, Chinese leaders have believed the United States has been in terminal decline, and their regime will soon ascend to global dominance.
Biden, at least in their minds, has confirmed this view. His calamitous withdrawal from Afghanistan and his failure to stop Russia’s invasion of Ukraine left Beijing thinking that it can now do what it wants to Taiwan.
At the same time, Xi’s threat could be the result of regime insecurity. He needs an external crisis so that the Chinese people won’t think too much about the internal ones. Inside China, coronavirus continues to infect the population, and Xi’s "dynamic zero-COVID" policy is causing widespread resentment as well as undermining the ailing economy.
China’s economy, despite the report of 0.4% year-to-year growth in the second quarter, is almost certainly contracting.
At the same time, the debt crisis, delayed for more than a decade, has been hitting the country. Evergrande Group and other large property developers are defaulting on bond and other obligations, apartment projects remain unfinished, buyers of flats are participating in a nationwide "mortgage boycott" by not paying banks, the boycott has spread to suppliers of the developers, and financial institutions across the country are tight on cash. There are bank runs, especially in Henan province, but banks in the financial capital of Shanghai are also in poor condition.

Pelosi has been a thorn in China's side for several decades.
Two years after Tienanmen sq she went there with a placard memorializing the people who died there. Then on the 19th anniversary of Tienanmen she gave a Regime-denouncing speech in Congress.
It is true that other of her efforts, e.g., indirect subsidies for China's slave labor constructed wind energy industry, helped China. But she was not alone in that.

[Breitbart] Some officials on President Joe Biden’s National Security Council (NSC) are privately warning that an end to former President Donald Trump’s "Remain in Mexico" program at the United States-Mexico border will spur a flood of illegal immigration.
In June, the Supreme Court ruled in a 5-4 decision that the Biden administration can end the Remain in Mexico program but also sent the issue back to lower courts. Following the decision, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas vowed to end the program when the agency is legally allowed to do so.
Some NSC officials, who spoke anonymously to the Wall Street Journal, said they are privately warning administration officials that ending the Remain in Mexico program is likely to spur an even larger flood of illegal immigration to the U.S. while also crippling negotiations with Mexico.
The Journal reports:
The NSC officials have cited a number of reasons for their wariness, including that they are concerned that the publicity around ending the program could attract more people to cross the border illegally, the people said. Specifically, the program remains one of the only deterrent tools the administration can use to handle asylum-seeking migrants from Cuba and Venezuela, countries that aren’t taking back any deported citizens from the U.S. [Emphasis added]
They are also worried that ending the program entirely would upend continuing immigration negotiations with the Mexican government, which would prefer to see the program remain in place, they said. [Emphasis added]
NSC officials have also argued that ending the program could immediately prompt more litigation by Texas and other Republican-led states that could force the government to quickly start the program back up again, the people said. An initial lawsuit by Texas and Missouri prompted the administration to restart the program last fall as the case was pending with the Supreme Court. [Emphasis added]
At DHS, though, agency officials are reportedly all on board to end the Remain in Mexico program — claiming it is too expensive to operate even as illegal immigration costs American taxpayers billions of dollars every year in direct costs.
The Biden administration’s seeking to end Remain in Mexico comes even as the program has drastically helped eliminate asylum fraud where border crossers and illegal aliens, who knowingly did not qualify for asylum, were released into the U.S. interior regardless.
The latest federal data, as Breitbart News reported, reveals that of the more than 45,000 Remain in Mexico cases adjudicated, only 1.6 percent of migrants enrolled in the program have been found to have legitimate asylum claims.
Meanwhile, more than 70 percent of migrants enrolled in the program have been ordered deported after failing to prove that they have valid claims for asylum. More than 10,000 migrants terminated their asylum proceedings before making it to court, suggesting they too did not believe they would be found to have valid asylum claims.

Liz Cheney.
In a highly publicized memo, the new president of CNN last spring said in light of the numerous scandals that have plagued the news organization, he wanted the focus of the network to be on credibility and put "journalism first."
If the news segment of the CNN broadcast from the site of the largest outdoor rodeo in the world on Sunday was any indication, the network might be shifting toward a less manipulated form of journalism again.
The network reported that most of the Wyoming respondents they interviewed did not have a high opinion of Cheney.
The unscientific results of their interviews would appear to somewhat follow the scientific poll done earlier in July which shows Cheney has a 66% disapproval rating in addition to being behind challenger Harriet Hageman by a 52 — 30% margin.

Following reports of at least two explosions in the capital’s Wazir Akbar Khan and Sherpur areas, Nabil posted his statement on his Twitter handle.
"American drones were seen in the airspace of KBL and struck different locations in Kabul," the former NDS director wrote.
Nabil also stated that the earth-shattering kabooms that occurred on Sunday in Kabul are "most likely" a "IS-K hideout," citing a clause of the Doha agreement, to which the US and the Taliban ...mindless ferocity in a turban... are parties, which states that the US will help the Taliban combat and defeat IS-K.

Taliban security authorities claim that a rocket was launched at the Wazir Akbar Khan area of Kabul and landed close to the area’s 11th street following the release of news about the occurrence of at least two explosions in the capital.
The rocket struck a vacant house, according to Khalid Zadran, the Taliban’s front man for the Kabul Police on Sunday, July 31. No one was injured in the incidents.
Another explosion in Kabul’s Dehmazang area was also reported by the locals, resulting in no immediate casualties.

However, you can observe a lot just by watching... between mid-August 2021 and mid-June 2022, UNAMA recorded 2,106 civilian casualties. This is despite a general, significant decline in armed violence.

[Rudaw] The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) on Sunday said it launched a covert operation against alleged spies and infiltrators claiming they work for The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund... , arresting dozens in the process.
The operation, dubbed Oath, was conducted by the SDF in several areas under its control, including parts of the provinces of Hasaka, Deir ez-Zor, Raqqa, and Aleppo, and "resulted in arresting 36 persons involved in espionage activities," the US-backed force reported.
"The Ottoman Turkish occupying state and its intelligence work extensively to create spy networks and agents and allocated a large budget," the SDF said, calling the alleged Ottoman Turkish recruitment of spies and agents within SDF-held territories a method of "undermining the trust of our people and arousing suspicion and skepticism."
The operation coincides with growing concern over a fresh Ottoman Turkish operation in northern Syria, with Ankara targeting key leaders of the SDF and launching a spate of drone attacks on Manbij and Tal Rifaat — areas it seeks to seize control of.
The SDF claimed that the spy and agents network have inflicted casualties in the force’s ranks, severely damaging the region.
Last week, the SDF confirmed the death of one of its commanders and two other fighters who were killed by a Ottoman Turkish drone a day prior. General Commander Mazloum Abdi vowed Dire Revenge for their deaths while US Central Command offered condolences to their families.

In a statement, the Æthiopian authorities said the army killed three al-Shabaab big shots in South Eastern part of the country, during an offensive which was waged against the snuffies have tried to cross over to the Æthiopian side of the border.

Major General Tesfaye Ayalew, Head of the deployment in the Æthiopian Defense Force and coordinator of the Security Command Post, has confirmed to Æthiopian State media, Æthiopian News Agency, that the three al-Shabaab leaders are killed near the Æthiopian border.
Last week, al-Shabaab snuffies suffered multiple losses at Aato and Yeed towns along the border of Somalia and Æthiopia. Further reports indicate that al-Shabaab was killed in numbers within Æthiopia, with authorities estimating the number at over 100 bully boys.
It is unclear if there were casualties from the Æthiopian forces. The report on the death of Sanqole could not be independently verified by Garowe Online but there were confrontations along the border, with the latest shootout reported on Saturday morning.

"I’d had spells of dizziness and fainting and they couldn’t find anything wrong although they suspected a stroke at first. I even had scans for a brain tumour which is pretty scary but I knew that drinking all this Irn-Bru was to blame.

After watching the speech on ABC — President Biden looked buffed but unsteady on his feet, poor man — one of the commenters said that we have absolutely no presence on the ground, so the intel must have come from locals.

You are correct, apparently they got word on his location in the spring...and held until now...likely a political decision directed by our amateur National Security Advisor. I don't trust any of the info being released at this point, because at this point nothing is as it seems.
Ole Z was Egypt centric...and apparently lured back to AF by Mr. Haqqani? WTF? I don't understand, but I guess it worked out for us. And now the parlor game is to guess who in the Taliban leadership snitched on Sirajuddin Haqqani and his BFF houseguest Zawahiri? My guess is one of the Taliban Five (Fazl or Wasiq) that returned to Taliban gov service and didn't want to risk a round two tangle with the US...which means Sirajuddin is a marked man (and he should be).

Al Qaeda was kind of ineffective under his leadership. Might have been best to leave him in power rather than risk a bolder, more creative replacement.
