Died: January 25, 1990, Westminster, London, England
[FOX] The United Kingdom’s Defense Ministry apologized on Tuesday after mistakenly releasing the email addresses of 250 Afghan interpreters—some of whom have been in hiding since the Western withdrawal from Afghanistan, according to a report. "Our bad"
The BBC reported that the errant email-- with 250 names copied on it-- was released by the UK’s Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy and was followed up—about 30 minutes later—with another email warning them that their email address "may have been compromised."

The UK Government is riddled with muzz, mostly from Pakistain, right? Add to that the thousands of closet islamophiles in clerical and other staff or secularist tolerant of the 'commonwealth cultures', with probably Pakistani sons-in-law.
[ZERO] Some of the biggest names in business virtually attended the annual Morgan Stanley Laguna conference last week and warned about the complex nature of soaring inflation.
Much of the discussion was centered around the soaring cost of raw materials, labor, and logistical nightmares. Corporate leaders from 3M Company to Trane Technologies to General Electric Co., among others, all warned about increasing inflationary pressures, according to Bloomberg.
3M's Chief CFO Monish Patolawala shocked attendees by calling inflation "unprecedented." He said the impact of higher commodity prices and soaring freight prices would impact its 2021 earnings.
Trane Technologies Plc's CFO Chris Kuehn told a very similar story: "Unprecedented is the word we'd use around the inflation side."
At the virtual event, Morgan Stanley analyst Josh Pokrzywinski joked that everyone could check the word "unprecedented" on their 2021 bingo cards.
But what has become an increasing concern, pointed out by General Electric's CEO Larry Culp, is that inflationary pressures are "increasingly getting structural in nature."
David Petratis, CEO of lock maker Allegion Plc, said inflationary pressures might stick around two to three years. He said his company is preparing for more persistent inflation, adding "it's not a transitory situation."

$21.39 a quart at a paint store last week. That would be a roughly 65% increase on the same product purchased one year ago. I see this morning, Amazon has it for $15. Could be nearly the same price with shipping costs. The stuff is pretty hefty.

Who knew that printing trillions of dollars and wild spending caused inflation? Joe badly needs some real economists to point out what every econ student knows after about a month of Econ 101.

The Biden Junta now has the US involved with human trafficking, arming and coordinating with the Taliban, and facilitating an outright invasion from the entire Southern Hemisphere. It might not be over quite yet, but ladies n gentlemen, prepare to defend yourselves. We're all on our own for the most part which was a necessary stop along the road we are currently travelling.

If this doesn't merit charges of treason, I don't know what does.

[FoxNews] Sudanese authorities reported a coup attempt on Tuesday by a group of soldiers but said the attempt failed and that the military remains in control.
The development underscored the fragility of Sudan’s path to democracy, more than two years after the military's overthrow of longtime autocrat Omar al-Bashir amid a public uprising against his three-decade rule.
Sudan’s state-run television called on the public "to counter" the coup attempt but did not provide further details.

[FoxNews] Texas Border Patrol agents discovered a hotel room in which 10 illegal immigrants were staying while they waited to be smuggled deeper into the U.S.
Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol agents received a tip Friday afternoon about a hotel in Edinburg being used to harbor illegal immigrants. The city is located in the southern tip of Texas, near the Mexico border.
Agents went to investigate the hotel and witnessed two individuals enter the suspected room with several jugs of water and groceries. They continued to surveil the hotel room and determined it was being used to harbor illegal immigrants, U.S. Customs and Border Protection said.
The Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office conducted a welfare check and discovered more than 10 people in the room. CBP said the people were citizens from El Salvador, Honduras, and Mexico.
The migrants reportedly told the officers that they had been waiting to be transported further into the U.S. for nearly 30 days.
The next morning, McAllen Border Patrol Station agents in Hidalgo discovered more illegal immigrants – including an unaccompanied child – using a storm drain to illegally enter the U.S.
From early that morning until late in the evening, MCS agents and the Hidalgo Police Department set up a perimeter and arrested about 10 people using the storm drain to illegally enter the U.S. All subjects were citizens of Mexico and Honduras.
The migrants apprehended at the hotel room and using the storm drain are all being processed, CBP said.
Hidalgo is about 20 miles south of Edinburg, a stone’s throw from the U.S.-Mexico border.
The discovery came as thousands of Haitian migrants have overwhelmed agents at the U.S.-Mexico border in recent days. On Monday, more than 6,000 Haitians and other migrants were removed from an encampment at a Texas border town.
[Hot Air] Joe Biden was taking a well-deserved rest at his beach house (kidding) so perhaps he didn’t notice that the first all-civilian space crew successfully returned to earth over the weekend. On Saturday Elon Musk’s SpaceX completed a historic private spaceflight yet the president hasn’t bothered to congratulate Musk for the accomplishment. Musk hasn’t received a phone call or so much as a tweet to congratulate them.
If Biden isn’t a big fan of Musk, who cares? He should at least acknowledge the accomplishment of four gutsy Americans who ventured into space without histories of formal astronaut training. The spaceflight served as a fundraiser for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The three-day landmark Inspiration4 mission has raised over $60 million from the public so far. Jared Isaacman, the billionaire who bankrolled the spaceflight also pledged $100 million and Musk added $50 million. That will pay for the treatment of a lot of children.
The world’s second-richest man would like a little attention from the leader of the free world. Kudos came in from all around, including from NASA administrator Bill Nelson, a Biden appointee. He offered his congratulations to the crew multiple times. Nelson is a former astronaut.
[BBC] Muriel Gardiner's interest in the work of Sigmund Freud took her to Vienna in the 1920s to study medicine. There, the wealthy American became part of the underground resistance in the fight against fascism, helping to save countless lives. Her courageous actions would help to inspire a film for which Vanessa Redgrave won an Oscar. What were the events that shaped this extraordinary life?
Early one November morning in a hotel room in Nazi-annexed Austria, Muriel Gardiner was woken by a sharp knock on the door.
Opening it, she found a Gestapo officer demanding to know what she was doing in the country. With her heart beating wildly, the medical graduate politely told him she had been visiting the city of Linz as a tourist. More questions followed but the officer finally left.
Had he investigated further, he might have learned that Gardiner was not who she claimed to be.
[MIL.COM] Muhammad Ali was, for a while, the most famous human in the world, and he's inspired dozens of books, movies and documentaries that chronicle his influence in boxing and in the culture at large.
PBS and Ken Burns have turned their lens on his life in "Muhammad Ali," a four-part documentary; it's co-directed by Burns' daughter Sarah Burns and her husband David McMahon. The team previously made PBS' "Jackie Robinson" documentary, which aired in 2016.
"Muhammad Ali" will air on the network from Sept. 19-22, 2021, beginning at 9 p.m. ET Sunday night and will be available on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital on Oct. 19, 2021.
One of the fighter's most lasting legacies is the fallout from his refusal to be inducted in the Army after he was drafted in 1966. The film explores that decision, and we've got a long clip that tells the story of his resistance.
[FOX] For fun sometime, give a little civics test to people in your neighborhood. Ask them, if you wanted to take over a country, how would you do it? And here’s the answer you’re likely to get from all of them: "Well, first you’ve got to get the most votes." They’re Americans. That’s what they believe. And they believe it because that’s how things have worked in America for hundreds of years. It’s called representative democracy. But that’s not how things work in most other places, or ever have. They don’t have a representative democracy.
In most places, at most times, if you wanted to take over a country, first you had to control its military — the "guys with guns," as Mark Milley once memorably put it. The Army is essential for political control. Government dictates have no meaning without the credible threat of force to back them up. Guns are to laws what gold is to paper currency. It gives it value. Strength. In a democratic system, the military serves and protects the entire population, no matter who they vote for. That’s what democracy is. In an authoritarian system, the army is the enforcement apparatus of a specific political party. That’s the difference between the two systems.
It’s worth remembering this, given we’re seeing happen all around the world right now. The German Defense Ministry just announced it's dismantling its best-trained special operations unit, which is called the KSK. Dozens of KSK operators have been fired. None of them committed any kind of crime. The ruling party simply determined they weren’t loyal enough. They had the wrong political views. So they got canned. As the German defense minister, put it, the KSK has "come under the influence of an unhealthy understanding of elites."
[Right Scoop] Tonight on his show, Tucker Carlson revealed a bizarre US Army powerpoint presentation justifying their mandatory vaccine and it includes a slide including the 7 tenets of Satanism that also sarcastically asks "How many children were sacrificed to Satan for the vaccine?":
[Red State] When a suicide bomber blew himself up at a US military control point on the fringes of Kabul’s Hamid Karzai International Airport, killing 11 Marines, one sailor, and one soldier, and he created the third highest single-day casualty total for the entire 20-year war (see Yesterday Was One of the Bloodiest Days in the Afghan War Because of the Choices Joe Biden Made and He Owns the Outcome). He also set in motion a sequence of events that eventually resulted in the United States killing ten civilians, seven of them children, in a drone attack that was to ostensibly destroy another suicide bomb threat and added ignominy to the already disgraceful US exit from Afghanistan.
Now an Indian outlet, Firstpost, is reporting that the bomber was in US custody at Bagram Air Base up until our unmanly and precipitous flight on July 5 when we fled from that critical installation without bothering to tell our Afghan allies that we were leaving:
The U.S. left Afghanistan’s Bagram Airfield after nearly 20 years by shutting off the electricity and slipping away in the night without notifying the base’s new Afghan commander, who discovered the Americans’ departure more than two hours after they left, Afghan military officials said.
Afghanistan’s army showed off the sprawling air base Monday, providing a rare first glimpse of what had been the epicenter of America’s war to unseat the Taliban and hunt down the al-Qaida perpetrators of the 9/11 attacks on America.
The U.S. announced Friday it had completely vacated its biggest airfield in the country in advance of a final withdrawal the Pentagon says will be completed by the end of August.
"We (heard) some rumor that the Americans had left Bagram ... and finally by seven o’clock in the morning, we understood that it was confirmed that they had already left Bagram," Gen. Mir Asadullah Kohistani, Bagram’s new commander said.
The Taliban subsequently seized Bagram on August 15, and thousands of prisoners returned to action. Here is Pentagon goof John Kirby admitting that the US military didn’t know how many prisoners were freed, but they numbered in the "thousands."
[OneIndia] The jacket wallah of the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... Khorasan Province (ISKP), Abdul Rehman was originally handpicked to carry out a major attack in New Delhi. Rehman who hails from Afghanistan was the some of a merchant who frequented India for business.
Rehman had taken admission at an engineering college in Noida and he was handpicked to strike in the national capital due to his familiarity with New Delhi. He was however arrested after he came under the radar of the Delhi Police and Research and Analysis Wing.
However after his arrest, he was extradited to Afghanistan and was questioned by the CIA before being put in jail. During his questioning in 2019, he gave information about a top ISKP leader, Firstpost said in a report. The US then eliminated that leader in a dronezap.
An official speaking on condition of anonymity ... for fear of being murdered... told OneIndia that the ISKP which had commenced operations in Afghanistan had planned on a major attack in Delhi in the year 2016. The ISKP was actively recruiting Indians, especially from Kerala and felt that a major attack of this nature would help boost recruitments further.
The plot was however foiled by the Indian agencies and this led to the arrest of Rehman. However following the Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... takeover of Afghanistan, Rehman was among the many ISKP murderous Moslems who were released from jail.
Rehman following his release was roped in by the ISKP to carry out the bombing at the Kabul Airport, following the withdrawal by the US troops. The ISIS' official news agency, Amaq said after the bombing that a member called Abdul Rahman al-Pashtun-infested Logari had carried out the martyrdom operation near the Kabul Airport.
Abdul Rahman al-Pashtuni? What a clever nom de guerre, and now entered into the Rantburg archives.
Analysts say that for the ISKP, the Kabul bombing was a major success as it not only did great damage, but also boosted the morale of their terrorists. The ISKP was founded just six years back in Afghanistan. The ISKP focused on recruiting disgruntled Taliban commanders and other murderous Moslems who felt marginalised within the Jihadi ranks. The ISKP which had over 6,000 fighters when it was founded, now has just 1,500 members. It has been at war with the Taliban, but has not found much success.

[Free Beacon] The FDA shopped from a menu of aborted fetus organs to insert into lab mice as part of taxpayer-funded experiments, according to government records—a practice that watchdogs said may violate federal law.
From 2012 to 2018, Advanced Bioscience Resources, a nonprofit fetal tissue supplier, charged the FDA $340 per aborted fetus liver and $515 per intact skull. The FDA originally redacted these price listings, but a judge later unsealed the documents containing them, which were made public Tuesday by Judicial Watch. Federal law bans any institution from profiting off the sale of aborted fetuses. Meredith Di Liberto, the lead attorney in the lawsuit to obtain the government records, said the unredacted documents reveal a clear line of business between the FDA and a leading fetal tissue provider.
"I don’t know how you get around that not being a violation of federal law," Di Liberto told the Washington Free Beacon. "Why are they charging per organ? What work is involved that requires you to charge a separate cost for a thymus and a liver?"

[MSNBC of all places] Special Counsel John Durham was tasked with investigating the origins of the FBI’s Russia investigation. He now appears to have ended his work not with a bang, but with a whimper.
It is hard to see how the case Durham filed on Thursday against Washington lawyer Michael Sussmann meets Justice Department standards. The indictment alleges that Sussmann met with FBI General Counsel Jim Baker in September 2016 to provide information about connections between a Russian bank and the Trump Organization. The FBI was unable to substantiate any links between Alfa Bank and former President Donald Trump’s businesses, but the charge against Sussman — making false statements to the FBI — doesn’t allege that the substance of the information was false. Instead, Sussman is accused of having misrepresented on whose behalf he was providing it.
A grand jury only needs to find probable cause that a crime was committed to return an indictment, but DOJ policy requires a higher standard. Before putting a person through the expense, burden and stigma of criminal charges, a prosecutor should make a determination "that the admissible evidence will probably be sufficient to obtain and sustain a conviction." This case comes woefully short of that standard.
Let’s start with the easy one — admissible evidence. The indictment appears to rely on the handwritten notes of an assistant director with whom Baker spoke after his meeting with Sussmann. The notes state, among other things, "Said not doing this for any client."
Anyone who’s played the game "Telephone" understands that as information is repeated, it often gets altered along the way. Instead, testimony at trial must be based on personal observation. If the prosecution attempted to offer these notes or even the writer’s testimony about what he heard Baker say before he wrote them as evidence, either would likely be ruled hearsay.

It would be a huge surprise if this went anywhere. Many legal pundits are saying that Sussman is just the beginning. I'm skeptical after so much B.S. has come down the pike from D.C. It would be good for the country if there were a good high enema of the government.
[Breitbart] The White House conceded Monday they were not requiring border crossers to show proof of vaccination, even though the government requires proof of a vaccine or a negative coronavirus test for other travelers into the United States.
When reporters asked about the apparent double standard on vaccination requirements, White House press secretary Jen Psaki argued that illegal immigrants and migrants crossing the border were not intending to stay in the United States.
"They’re not intending to stay here for a lengthy period of time," she said, referring to migrants. "I don’t think it’s the same thing. It’s not the same thing."

Nope. Instead, the story they hand out, other than grabbing a burger and walking back home, is Boarder Czar calls for an investigation into what is going on at the boarder, which she nominally is in charge of, calling for an investigation into herself.

[National Pulse] Karl Eikenberry — a former Ambassador to Afghanistan under President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden — now collaborates with several Chinese Communist Party-funded influence groups seeking to "co-opt and neutralize sources of potential opposition" to the regime and works for a state-run university in China, The National Pulse can reveal.
The sole political appointee to fill the role in the Obama-Biden years, Eikenberry served as Ambassador to Afghanistan from 2009 to 2011. His appointment followed his service as a Lieutenant General in the U.S. Army focusing on Afghanistan, overseeing the training of the now-defunct government’s army and police forces.
Since his departure from the role, Eikenberry has affiliated with several Chinese Communist Party-run institutes and initiatives.
In addition to serving as a senior advisor to the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Defense, he doubles as a Visiting Professor at Schwartzman College housed at Tsinghua University. The alma mater of Chinese Communist Party leader Xi Jinping, Tsinghua University has a history of launching cyberattacks against the U.S. government.
Tsinghua also has a "clear connection between them and the state administration for technology and industry in discussions on what [they] can do to help the national security," according to former Senior Intelligence Officer in the Defense Intelligence Agency and State Department Official Nicholas Eftimiades.
Similarly, Eikenberry is an International Security fellow at Stanford University’s Center for International Security and Cooperation (CISAC). The National Pulse has previously highlighted the center’s deep collaboration with several Chinese military and government-linked entities, including those flagged by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for espionage and blacklisted by the U.S. government.
Eikenberry is also part of a working group based at the University of California San Diego’s (UCSD) 21st Century China Center, which is predominantly funded by the co-founder of the e-commerce giant Alibaba. The China-based firm has close financial and personnel ties to the Chinese Communist Party and its military. It has been flagged as a "tool" of the Chinese Communist Party by the U.S. State Department.
Beyond academia, Eikenberry has also participated in dialogues at the East-West Institute sponsored by the China-United States Exchange Foundation (CUSEF). The organization was founded by the Vice-Chairman Chinese Communist Party’s "United Front," an effort that seeks to "co-opt and neutralize sources of potential opposition to the policies and authority of its ruling Chinese Communist Party" and "influence foreign governments to take actions or adopt positions supportive of Beijing’s preferred policies."
Another event sponsor — the China Association for International Friendly Contact (CAIFC) — has been flagged by the U.S. government as a United Front group operating under the auspices of China’s military.

"Prior to his arrival at Stanford, he served as the U.S. Ambassador to Afghanistan from 2009 until 2011. Before appointment as chief of mission in Kabul, he had a thirty-five year career in the United States Army, retiring h lieutenant general. His military operational posts: commander and staff officer with mechanized, light, airborne, and ranger infantry units in U.S., Hawaii, Korea, Italy, and as the Commander of the American-led Coalition forces in Afghanistan. He held various policy and political-military positions, including deputy chairman of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Military Committee in Brussels, Belgium; director for Strategic Planning and Policy for U.S. Pacific Command at Camp Smith, Hawaii; and assistant army and later defense attaché at the United States Embassy in Beijing."
The last is most interesting.
[National Pulse via Citizen Free Press] U.S. taxpayers have been footing the bill for Chinese military-linked studies for over a decade, a National Pulse investigation has revealed.
Various National Institutes of Health agencies — including Anthony Fauci’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases — have funded over 250 studies authored by researchers at institutions controlled by China’s People’s Liberation Army, The National Pulse can exclusively reveal.
Following a unique investigation into the origins of scientific research papers, the whopping level of collaboration with the Chinese military will further concerns in the United States that the political class has surrendered to the Chinese Communist Party. Last week it emerged that the ranking General in the U.S. Armed Forces agreed to tip off China in advance of a U.S.-led attack.
The unearthed studies, from the National Institutes (NIH) online database, expand upon the People’s Liberation Army’s (PLA) ties to the Wuhan Institute of Virology unearthed by The National Pulse.
U.S. TAXPAYERS FUNDING THE PEOPLE’S LIBERATION ARMY.
Of 265 studies identified by The National Pulse, the Chinese military entity most frequently appearing on studies funded by the NIH is the Beijing-based PLA General Hospital, a subsidiary of the army’s Joint Logistics Support Force of the Central Military Commission.
A now-deleted informational site about the facility notes it is "the largest comprehensive hospital in the whole army" that is "responsible for the medical and health care tasks of the leaders of the state and the military commission."

The resemblance is quite amazing actually, but in race card matters, the truth is no defense it seems.
[IsraelTimes] Two Paleostinians tried to cross the Gazoo ...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... border into Israel on Monday, but returned back into the coastal enclave after spotting an Israel Defense Force squad heading to the scene, the army said.
It was the second infiltration attempt in three days.
On Saturday morning, three Paleostinians were detained by IDF soldiers after trying to infiltrate into southern Israel. The suspects were found carrying knives and bolt cutters in order to break through the fence when they were captured near the northern section of the border, according to the IDF. It was not clear whether the three had successfully fully passed through the fence at the time of their capture.
The suspects were detained and taken for questioning.
While Israel has a high-tech series of fences and walls guarding its frontier with Gaza, both above and below ground, a number of gaps remain in the steel fencing surrounding the Strip. These gaps have been used by Paleostinians in Gaza to illegally enter Israeli territory, often with hopes of fleeing the beleaguered enclave.
That assumes the statistics are correct. But we know that somewhere north of a quarter of those reported as dead of Covid-19 actually only died with a positive test for Covid, whether or not they displayed symptoms.
[AP] COVID-19 has now killed about as many Americans as the 1918-19 Spanish flu pandemic did — approximately 675,000.
The U.S. population a century ago was just one-third of what it is today, meaning the flu cut a much bigger, more lethal swath through the country. But the COVID-19 crisis is by any measure a colossal tragedy in its own right, especially given the incredible advances in scientific knowledge since then and the failure to take maximum advantage of the vaccines available this time.
"Big pockets of American society — and, worse, their leaders — have thrown this away," medical historian Dr. Howard Markel of the University of Michigan said of the opportunity to vaccinate everyone eligible by now.
Like the Spanish flu, the coronavirus may never entirely disappear from our midst. Instead, scientists hope it becomes a mild seasonal bug as human immunity strengthens through vaccination and repeated infection. That could take time.
"We hope it will be like getting a cold, but there’s no guarantee," said Emory University biologist Rustom Antia, who suggests an optimistic scenario in which this could happen over a few years. "Imagine if there was a 99.7% chance you wouldn't get cancer, but you were forced to go on chemotherapy just in case."
For now, the pandemic still has the United States and other parts of the world firmly in its jaws.
While the delta-fueled surge in infections may have peaked, U.S. deaths are running at over 1,900 a day on average, the highest level since early March, and the country’s overall toll topped 675,000 Monday, according to the count kept by Johns Hopkins University, though the real number is believed to be higher.
Winter may bring a new surge, with the University of Washington’s influential model projecting an additional 100,000 or so Americans will die of COVID-19 by Jan. 1, which would bring the overall U.S. toll to 776,000.
The 1918-19 influenza pandemic killed 50 million victims globally at a time when the world had one-quarter the population it does now. Global deaths from COVID-19 now stand at more than 4.6 million.

So covid still pales in comparison to the 'Spanish' flu.
But more folks are crowding, and unmasking, but I am still waiting for one documented 'superspreader' event.

A Deeper Comparison.
1st of all.... Stating "As deadly as the 1918-20 Spanish Flu". Is a misleading Media Headline grabbing comparison. We have 3x's the population and 1000x's fast means of transportation to spread it than in 1918-20.
FACTS:
Lets use the Guesstimates of 650K dead from both pandemics. Yep even the 1918-20 650K number was a book authors estimate. Then the overall dead per million for the Spanish Flu far exceeds the Covid-19/21.
Running the US Population for each pandemic and did some basic old school math.
We know the figures are Media driven over-hyped full of issues. But using their numbers against them.
1918-1920
A US population was about 103.# Million.
Using the estimated 650k Death figure vs 103M equals 6.31%
2019-2021
A US population is about 331.# Million.
Using the estimated 650k Death figure vs. 331M equals 1.96%
SUMMARY: 1918-20 Spanish Flu roughly had about a 435% higher death rate per million than the Covid-19/21.
So the US would need 2,827,500 deaths to be as deadly as the 1918-20 Spanish Flu.
INTERESTING SIDE NOTE: Given what we know about 1918, I like to see someone run a computer model of a Covid-19/21 Pandemic in 1918, with ITD projections.
[All Africa] The leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky,
...former leader of the Muslim Brotherhood in Nigeria, he converted to Shi'ism after a visit to Iran, and now is a fiery Iranian sock puppet and head of the IMN, which Nigeria declared a terror group in 2019. Like the Muslim Brotherhood, its spinoffs, including Boko Haram/ISWAP, are much more violent. He’s the only Zakzaky in our archives, but the rest of his name suffers considerable variation...
has met with survivors of the December, 2015 clash between soldiers and members of the movement.Zakzaky also met with families of those killed in the clash.
A Kaduna State High Court had on July 28, 2021, discharged and acquitted the Sheikh and his wife, Zeenat who had been standing trial on eight counts charges bordering on alleged criminal conspiracy and culpable homicide.
However speaking in Abuja, according to a release made available to Daily Trust, the Sheikh used the opportunity to condole with them over the losses of their loved ones.
He urged them to always remember the persecution and hardships meted out to Imam Hussein (AS) when the dreaded army of Yazid besieged and massacre them.
He alluded to his visitors that no sacrifice is too high when it comes to the path of Allah.
Sheikh Zakzaky also apologised for having to invite some of them, instead of going to their houses to condole them.
"Due to the injuries we sustained during the military attack on us, we still carry bullet fragments in our bodies, and there is no way we can meet up with all the victims and the survivors of the brutal military onslaught against us in December 2015," he added.
Zakzaky then prayed to Almighty Allah to give the families of the deaders the fortitude to bear the irreparable losses they suffered and prayed that Allah accept the martyrdom of those killed.
Responding, Dr. Isa Waziri Gwantu, who said he lost four of his children during the Zaria incident, expressed gratitude to the Sheikh for inviting them to meet him in such a difficult circumstance and reiterated their resolve to never abandon the right path being championed by the sheikh.
Hajiya Jummai Karofi, who said he lost five children, said, "I would like the killers of my children to know that what they did to them would never scare us away from Sheikh Zakzaky and the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, in fact, they are ready to pay the ultimate sacrifice in defense of Islam."
[PUNCHNG] AFTER destroying several electric masts thereby cutting off Maiduguri metropolis from enjoying electricity for about nine months, four other electric masts supplying power along Damaturu-Maiduguri Road in Borno State were blown off again by suspected members of Boko Haram ...Nigeerian Islamist group, formerly paying homage to al-Qaeda, then, when the money ran out, to the Islamic State, and headed by nutcase Abu Bakr Shekau. Once he exploded in a gunfight with ISWAP, many in the group surrendered to the govt and others went with their new overlords. The remainder are a shell of their former selves, stmbling glassy-eyed and lonely through the Sambisa Forest and the soothing waters of Lake Chad, asking themselves What is truth?, or maybe just I wonder what's for dinner? I hope it's not rhinocerous again! ... /ISWAP on Friday night. This latest setback came barely one month after the NNPC commenced building of gas plant to provide electricity to the troubled state in the North-East sub-region.
The electric towers were destroyed at Garin Kuturu village, a village about two kilometres from Auno, an area constantly being terrorised by the krazed killers.
According to reports, the attack on the facilities started in the evening around 7 pm and lasted up to 10 pm after which four of the towers were completely grounded while the gift tower was hanging loosely.
Reacting to the incident, some residents of the state capital, who spoke to The PUNCH, expressed their frustration at the latest destruction, stating that the state had suffered enough hardship as a result of the insurgency.

[PJMedia] For U.S. residents trapped in Afghanistan — abandoned by their president to the tender mercies of the Taliban ...Arabic for students... — life in hiding is made up of long periods of boredom interrupted by short, intense periods of abject terror. Biden: "Can't I just finish my nap??"
The News Agency that Dare Not be Named contacted several of the families on the run and found that they had lost contact or been unable to talk to anyone in the State Department who can help them leave the country. All they can do is keep moving from house to house, trying not to stay in one place for too long lest the Taliban find out and arrest them.
For some Afghans who have green cards after working with the U.S. during the occupation, it’s a matter of life and death.
When the phone rang in an apartment in Kabul a few weeks ago, the U.S. green card holder who answered — a truck driver from Texas visiting family — was hopeful it was the U.S. State Department finally responding to his pleas to get him and his parents on a flight out.
Instead, it was the Taliban.
"We won’t hurt you. Let’s meet. Nothing will happen," the caller said, according to the truck driver’s brother, who lives with him in Texas and spoke to him afterwards. The call included a few ominous words: "We know where you are."
The Taliban knows who most of the collaborators are because the State Department helpfully gave the Taliban lists of Afghan citizens who had worked as translators and contractors.
Blinken said the U.S. government does not track U.S. green card holders in Afghanistan but he estimated several thousand remain in the country, along with about 100 U.S. citizens. He said the U.S. government was still working to get them out.
As of Friday, at least 64 American citizens and 31 green card holders have been evacuated since the U.S. military left last month, according to the State Department. More were possibly aboard a flight from Mazar-e-Sharif on Friday, but the administration did not release figures.
Neither the U.S. nor the Taliban have offered a clear explanation why so few have been evacuated.
The reason there’s no explanation is that the White House is terrified that the media will begin to use the "H" word. The remaining Americans and green card holders are hostages just as surely as if they were rotting in some stinking Afghanistan prison.
That is hardly encouraging to another green card holder from Texas, a grandmother who recently watched from a rooftop as Lions of Islam pulled up in a half-dozen police cars and Humvees to take over the house across the street.
"The Taliban. The Taliban," she whispered into the phone to her American son in a Dallas suburb, a conversation the woman recounted to the AP. "The women and kids are screaming. They’re dragging the men to the cars."
The Taliban doesn’t want to provoke the U.S. into a military response by saying the remaining Americans are hostages. But you have to think that they have passed the word that it would not be advisable to try and get the Americans out without their help.
The Taliban wants to control the narrative. So does the White House. They are going to want the U.S. to recognize their terrorist government and in exchange, allow the Americans and some of the Afghan collaborators to leave.
And as long as the media cooperates and tries to help the American people forget we have a couple of hundred fellow citizens trapped in a hostile country, Biden can continue the charade of negotiations.
Meanwhile, ...back at the wreckage, Captain Poindexter awoke groggily, his hand still stuck in the Ming vase... there will continue to be a trickle of Americans allowed to leave by the Taliban. Biden’s only hope is that nothing disturbs the delicate balance so that all of our countrymen can escape.

During WW2 we left American civilians behind in the Phillipines and other exotic locations, but only because we had to. And by the end of that war Tokyo was a smoking pile of ash. On other occasions, we've gone to a great deal of trouble to rescue American civilians. This is a disgrace.

** NOTE: Kadyrov terms out in 2026 **
[KavkazUzel] The victory of Ramzan Kadyrov in the election of the head of Chechnya with an almost one hundred percent result is absolutely implausible, said human rights ...not to be confused with individual rights, mind you... activist Svetlana Gannushkina, political scientist Alexei Malashenko and coordinator of "Voice" * Vitaly Averin.
As reported by the " Caucasian Knot ", on September 17-19, Chechnya held a vote in the elections to the State Duma, as well as direct elections for the head of the republic, elections to the parliament and the city duma of Grozny.
Ramzan Kadyrov, according to the CEC, won 99.7 percent of the votes in the elections for the head of Chechnya , breaking his 2016 record. United Russia won 89.2 percent of the vote in the Duma elections. At the same time, official data on the turnout indicate a decrease in interest in the elections in Chechnya. If in 2016 96.29 percent of voters took part in the voting, then in 2021 - 93.37 percent.
Teachers and doctors in Chechnya have voted against their will many times at different polling stations, residents of the republic told the "Caucasian Knot", pointing out the passive attitude of many of their acquaintances to the elections. Before the elections, rallies were held in different regions of Chechnya with the participation of state employees and civil servants, who urged residents of the republic to vote. Not only local government officials and employees campaigned for Kadyrov, but also the clergy. The participation of clergy in agitation for Ramzan Kadyrov directly violates federal law, but it is a long-standing and widespread practice in Chechnya, analysts interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot" point out.
The results of the elections for the head of Chechnya were predictable, said Svetlana Gannushkina , chair of the Civic Assistance Committee * . "Someone expected a different figure? I didn’t. It doesn’t surprise me. There, in some precinct, they even recruited more than 100 percent. So 99.7 percent is still normal for Chechnya," Svetlana Gannushkina told the news hound. Caucasian Knot ".
According to her, with this figure, Kadyrov demonstrates to the Kremlin his strong position in Chechnya. "He shows Moscow how strong his position and strong power are. But people are simply afraid to express their will in some other way. But this is not the worst result of fear," the human rights activist noted.
Gannushkina pointed out that such a high number of voters in itself devalues the significance of Kadyrov's victory and undermines confidence in the results. "The number of votes won by Kadyrov and United Russia devalues the elections. Who can get acquainted with the election results and trust these figures? It will be difficult to find such people who do not understand what is really happening," she stressed.
The head of scientific research of the Institute "Dialogue of Civilizations", political scientist Aleksey Malashenko agrees with this . "Such a number of voters undermines any confidence in the elections in general. How can one person gain almost 100 percent? Everyone knows that this is a game. They did not choose, but it was necessary to be chosen that way. For a normal person, it looks like a mockery," he told the correspondent "Caucasian Knot" Alexey Malashenko.
A victory with a score of 99.7 percent is indecent even for Russia, Malashenko said. "This is a performance to show the Kremlin its strong position. But such a figure is indecent even by all-Russian standards. The head of Chechnya is engaged in narcissism. chapter, such a deceptive impression is quite possible, "- said Malashenko. Very kind. I consider Kadyrov and his kid to be psychopaths.
Residents of Chechnya told about the "carousels" in the elections
[KavkazUzel] Teachers and doctors in Chechnya have voted against their will many times at different polling stations, residents of the republic told the "Caucasian Knot", pointing out the passive attitude of many of their acquaintances to the elections.
As the "Caucasian Knot" wrote, on September 17-19, Chechnya held voting in the elections to the State Duma, as well as direct elections for the head of the republic, elections to the parliament and the city duma of Grozny. Ramzan Kadyrov, according to the CEC, won 99.7 percent of the votes in the elections for the head of Chechnya , breaking his 2016 record. United Russia won 89.2 percent of the vote in the Duma elections.
Official turnout figures indicate a decline in interest in elections in Chechnya. If in 2016 96.29 percent of voters took part in the voting, then in 2021 - 93.37 percent. At the same time, before the elections, rallies were held in different regions of Chechnya with the participation of state employees and civil servants, who urged residents of the republic to vote.
During the three-day voting, many residents of Chechnya, mostly civil servants, posted publications on social networks demonstrating their participation in the elections and support for Ramzan Kadyrov.
Residents of one of the villages within Grozny, instead of voting, staged "belkhi" - a traditional action to help those in need in solving economic problems. They started major repairs in the house of a widow with many children, a resident of Grozny Musa told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent .
According to the Grozny resident, none of his relatives, friends and acquaintances participated in the voting due to disappointment in the elections. "On Friday [September 17], before Friday prayers, I met with my neighbor, who works in government agencies. He explained to me who works and in what area, so that there is the highest percentage of voters in Chechnya - you just need to quickly and competently organize the work. "carousel" (one of the ways to falsify elections. - Notes "Caucasian Knot"). And this is not only in Grozny, but throughout the republic. My friends and I decided: what to go to vote and thus try to fight against windmills, which in Chechnya it's not safe to do, we'd rather renovate the house of one big family, "Musa explained.
Several state employees told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent about their forced participation in such "roundabouts". They refused to give their surnames. For example, a teacher from one of the schools in the Naurskiy district Patimat said that a group of teachers from her school took part in the "carousel" during all three voting days.
"All the days, as the vote was announced, in the morning we were in the assembly hall at the school, then at about 1100 to 1200 hrs several people were invited to the bus, we came to any polling station, went there and introduced ourselves:" We are bus."
We were given each of us several ballots already filled in. And we took turns going up to the ballot box and throwing them there. Everyone was not allowed to come together, it was necessary to observe a temporary pause. We were warned,
A teacher from Urus-Martan Razet said that she and her colleagues also traveled to polling stations and threw ballots into ballot boxes.
"We were told to change our kerchiefs when we arrive at other polling stations in our village. Or they changed our jackets. opportunities, jackets," Razet told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
According to the teacher Aishat from Achkhoy-Martan, their group was taken to participate in the "carousels" in the village of Belgatoy, Shali district.
"They called us, apparently, as soon as the ballots were ready for stuffing. They will put ticks where necessary, and then you can throw them into the ballot box. And why? All the same it will be as the authorities intended. And in general, why are these elections being held? After all, everyone knows that this is a deception. Only it is not clear - who is deceiving whom? People know perfectly well what kind of elections are they, where from there is nothing left for democracy, "Aishat told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
A doctor at one of Grozny's hospitals, Timur, also told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that he traveled to polling stations in Grozny as part of a group of state employees. They threw several ballots each into the ballot boxes.
"The most amazing thing is that both we, medical workers, and members of election commissions, who handed us ready-made ballots, understood perfectly well that we are all in the theater of the absurd, where we are destined for a role in a wild performance. opportunities," concluded the doctor.
Both of Kadyrov's rivals in the elections not only did not campaign, but even feared to get support from voters, suggested the author of the blog on the Caucasian Knot Chechnya Inside.
"Neither Nakayev, nor Khadzhimuradov in their social networks never touched upon the topic of elections and their participation in them. It seems that they even deliberately avoid this topic." said the blogger in the article
"There are elections, but there is still no choice. Who will be the next head of Chechnya," published on September 15.
An employee of one of the state structures in Chechnya, Leila, said that the leadership ordered her and her colleagues to publish a photo of the completed newsletter on Instagram.
"The department director warned:" Everyone should vote. You know how and where to check the box. Upload a photo of your newsletter to your Instagram group.
"I did as it was recommended: one check mark per chapter, of course. The other is for United Russia," the budget woman told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
According to Yakha, a teacher from the village of Samashki, teachers are forced to write explanatory statements about why they did not conduct explanatory work with their parents, did not persuade them to take part in the voting.
A reader of the "Caucasian Knot" under the nickname donnell_okeefe also reported about the "carousels."
"State employees and students were taken from one precinct to another, and they were fulfilling their civic duty."
The daughter of a neighbor is studying at the Grozny Pedagogical University. Yesterday her group "voted" at two precincts. The instruction was to put a tick in the ballots opposite the name of Kadyrov and "United Russia" said a resident of Chechnya in a commentary on one of the publications about the elections. He added that he does not know any of his relatives, friends and relatives, with the exception of state employees and students, who would go to vote.
[PJMedia] I wrote this paper on Australian naval strategy in August 2013 — eight years ago — but never got around to placing it. It’s interesting to see how well my thinking from 2013 held up. I think it clearly anticipates the actual debate that led to Australia’s present decision to go for nuclear SSNs.
It is axiomatic that form follows function, which means insofar as navies are concerned that naval assets are acquired to fulfill a purpose. Once the purpose is determined, then the correct tools can be chosen for the job. Thus, every acquisition must be viewed in the context of “what is it for”. Unless the ends are defined, nothing can be said about the proposed means.
Buying naval vessels is a means to an end. The determination of ends is usually called strategy. Unfortunately, the goals of Australian naval strategy are sometimes presented as a laundry list.
The defense of Australia, meaning the ability to prevent an enemy from seizing its northern territories;
The common defense of Southeast Asia;
Stabilization operations in the Southwest Pacific;
Support to civil authorities, which generally means being able to help when disaster strikes; and last but not by any stretch the least;
Global Coalition Operations, or what used to be called being able to defeat the “enemy fleet”.
Another way to restate strategy, as a report to the Australian Parliament did, is to break it down into elements.
Sea denial;
Sea control; and
Power projection.
The trouble with laundry lists is you cannot tell which is most important. But common sense tells us that Task 5 (Global Coalition Operations) is the sine qua non of a navy, comprising both “Sea Denial – the prevention of the use of the sea by another force against us” – and Sea Control, the ability to impose one’s will for a time on an opponent.
If the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) can perform Task 5, it can do Tasks 1 through 4. But if the RAN cannot do Task 5, Tasks 1 through 4 are out of the question. Without sea denial and sea control, power projection is not possible.
Because some of Australia’s potential opponents are potentially stronger than it could ever realistically be, China being a case in point, achieving sea denial and sea control against such a foe realistically requires the assistance of an ally.
Hence the stated goal of White Paper Defence 2000 – “to defend Australia from any credible attack, without relying on help from the combat forces of any other country” – automatically put the Australian Defence Forces (ADF) on the horns of a dilemma. That was acceptable at the time, as Hugh White noted in The Monthly, because of the steadily improving security situation which culminated in the Fall of the Berlin Wall. Read the rest at the link
[DW] Warsaw has accused Minsk of an "organized storming" of its borders after four people, apparently refugees, were found dead. Poland is sending 500 additional troops to the region.
Poland blamed Belarus on Monday for what Polish officials described as an "organized storming" of the border after four people were discovered dead in the region on the previous day. The victims are believed to be refugees who were trying to reach Polish territory. Poland, unlike Belarus, is an EU member.
Warsaw is sending an additional 500 troops and special vehicles to the border region to strengthen it against increasing migrant pressures, which the government says is being conducted by Belarus and Russia to destabilize the EU and its 27 member states.
POLAND TO PREPARE 'FOR ANY SCENARIO'
"We are dealing with a well-organized action directed from Minsk and Moscow," Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki told reporters on Monday.
"We will defend Poland's border with full determination," Morawiecki said after a meeting with Interior Minister Mariusz Kaminski and the head of the Border Guards.
Kaminski tweeted: "We must be prepared for any scenario, which is why we are increasing border protection even more."
He added the extra troops and eight specialized vehicles will be sent to the border this week.
Polish officials said Sunday the bodies of three men, believed to be Iraqi nationals, were found on the Polish side of the border while Belarusian authorities announced an Iraqi woman was found within a meter of the border.
TIT-FOR-TAT
Poland and Lithuania have said the border incidents are part of an "attack" by the regime of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko in Minsk with the sole purpose of destabilizing the EU.
The West believes Belarus' actions are an act of revenge for the sanctions imposed on Minsk.
The sanctions were a response to Lukashenko's continued oppression of political opposition to his near three decades of rule.
[DW] A major fire broke out at a migrant camp on the Greek island of Samos, a day before the last residents were due to be moved to a new facility.
A major fire forced the last residents of a migrant camp in Greece to evacuate on Sunday night as it raced through makeshift tents. About 300 people were still living in the Vathy camp on the island of Samos. They were due to be transferred to a new, less crowded facility starting on Monday.
Samos is one of the islands in the Aegean Sea where asylum-seekers often arrive when they set out from The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund... to try and reach Europe. In Vathy, they lived in squalid conditions. At its peak, the camp, built for 680 people, held more than 10 times that number. At least they weren't lonely
The migrants colonists who were still awaiting transfer the night of the fire had to move to an empty area near the camp entrance, while 10 unaccompanied minors were already taken to the new facility on Sunday.
Their destination, a closed, high-security camp, was inaugurated just last week. It is the first of five EU-funded facilities in Greece to use surveillance cameras, magnetic entry cards and X-ray scanners. Residents will also have a curfew of 8 p.m.
The EU has invested €276 million ($323 million) in these camps, but rights groups have criticized the new facilities for being too restrictive. "For those who have survived torture, the new highly controlled center means not only the loss of freedom but reliving past traumatic experiences," a Doctors Without Borders psychologist said in a statement.
The facility officially opened its doors to new residents on Monday. Before they entered, security personnel checked them for weapons and dangerous objects.
The facility in Samos is a pilot for the closed migrant camps in Greece. More high-security facilities will follow on the Greek islands of Leros, Lesbos, Kos and Chios, where migrants colonists still live in overcrowded tent camps.

[ToloNews] The International Monetary Fund (IMF) recently announced a $650 billion Special Drawing Rights (SDR) allocation for member countries, but Afghanistan at the moment will not be allowed to access these funds.
According to IMF, the SDR allocation, which was made on August 23rd, will benefit all IMF members and will address the long-term global need for reserves and foster the resilience and stability of the global economy.
IMF front man Gerry Rice said on Thursday at a presser that Afghanistan will not have access to this grant because of the uncertainty over Afghanistan's government.
"Our engagement with Afghanistan has been suspended until there is clarity within the international community on the recognition of the government.
Please don’t.
We're guided by the international community in terms of the recognition of the government in Afghanistan, and we don't have that. So, the IMF program there, which you asked about, has been put on hold. And again, as we said last month, the country cannot access IMF resources, SDRs and so on at this point. But again, I want to say that we stand ready to work with the international community to advocate for urgent actions to stall a looming humanitarian crisis," said Rice.
According to IMF, $275 billion of the new allocation will go to developing and low-income countries.
Rice said IMF is deeply concerned about the difficult economic and humanitarian situation in Afghanistan.
Regardless of the current inaccessibility of the SDR funds, a number of economic analysts, meanwhile, welcomed IMF’s position regarding humanitarian aid for the people of Afghanistan, saying the world should not leave the people of Afghanistan alone at this critical time.
"This is good news that IMF is voicing its concern about the bad economic situation in Afghanistan. This can pave the way for further international help to Afghanistan," said Sayed Massoud, a university lecturer.
Afghanistan's banking assets have also been frozen since the Taliban ...Arabic for students... takeover on August 15, and the country is struggling with deep economic problems.
And the victims deny that it hurt.
[ToloNews] Taliban ...Arabic for students... officials on Monday denied claims that the group is detaining and torturing civilians in Panjshir valley and reiterated that the northern province is secure.
The Taliban’s comments come as a commander of the resistance front, Saleh Mohammad Registani, said that the Taliban is arresting civilians and torturing them in a prison in Kapisa province.
In videos sent to the media, resistance front members claimed to have maintained a presence in Panjshir province. The videos depicted occasional conflicts between the two sides.
Saleh Mohammad Registani: "They are searching houses, arresting innocent people, carrying them to a prison in Kapisa. They kill innocent people and do not allow their relatives to bury the bodies."
In the meantime, several Panjshir residents claimed that the Taliban is using civilian houses as fighting positions.
Asadullah Wahdat, a Panjshir resident, said: "We ask the Islamic Emirate forces to evacuate residential areas and go where there are military forces of the former government."
Safora Amiri, another Panjshir resident, said: "The areas are full of military forces. The Taliban are using people’s houses, this has caused civilians to evacuate their homes."
However, death is not the end. There remains the litigation over the estate... a member of the Cultural Commission at the Ministry of Culture and Information denied the claims. Ahmadullah Wasiq said: "Panjshir is fully secure now. There is no fighting. The enemy [resistance front forces ] is not active."

[AnNahar] Iranian fuel has entered Leb ...an Iranian colony situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. [Babylon Bee] WASHINGTON, D.C.—The Federal Bureau of Investigation is disappointed by the low attendance at the D.C. rally they organized for Trump supporters today.
In spite of the FBI's best efforts to lure a bunch of angry MAGA insurrectionists to the Capitol this weekend, only a few hundred FBI agents dressed as MAGA insurrectionists showed up.
"Ivermectin! Get your hot, fresh Ivermectin HEEEERRRRE!" cried one agent selling bootleg Ivermectin tablets from Tractor Supply Company. Unfortunately, he only made a couple of sales to a few other FBI agents from other field offices he didn't recognize.
"Greetings, fellow Trump supporters," said another agent. "Let's go insurrect the government, shall we, fellas? Maybe kidnap Gretchen Whitmer? Whadaya say boys? Say—I sure do love racism!" He was then immediately tackled by three other FBI agents who dragged him to an unmarked van.
Another field agent passed out flyers for a "Super Secret Satanic Pedophile Meeting", but was sad to find there were no takers, except one lady named Hillaria Clintonania.
"Man, to put so much work into something, only to have it flop like this, it kind of hurts, you know?" said Agent Arlo Chitbag, who had organized the event. "No one even seemed interested in my 'Make Your Own Pipe Bomb' booth!"
The discouraged FBI agents will reportedly unwind this evening by spying on people through their webcams before attending their monthly Satanic pedophile meeting.

How much does she want to "refund" the police after slashing $59mil in the last budget? Chicago could solve part of their problem by "putting" a different mayor in office. I didn't say "electing" as I don't believe we have been doing that for some time.
[KhaamaPress] The Khurasan branch of Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. (ISIS-K) has claimed that they have conducted three blasts on Saturday, September 18 and one the following day in the capital city-Jalalabad- of eastern Nangarhar The unfortunate Afghan province located adjacent to Mohmand, Kurram, and Khyber Agencies. The capital is Jalalabad. The province was the fief of Younus Khalis after the Soviets departed and one of his sons is the current provincial Taliban commander. Nangarhar is Haqqani country.. province.
The explosions had targeted the Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... and had inflicted casualties to more than 25 people among them women and kiddies.
The Taliban has not said anything about the causalities yet but eyewitnesses say that a number of Taliban fighters were rushed to hospital after being maimed in explosions.
Nangarhar-bordering Pakistain- is the only province where the Taliban are being targeted by ISIS-K after they took over entire Afghanistan.
There are fears both in and out of Afghanistan that ISIS will reappear and will threaten the Taliban but the latter has said that there is no threat or fear of such kind.
Some districts of Nangarhar and Kunar province ... which is right down the road from Chitral. Kunar is Haqqani country..... s were the heartlands of ISIS during the previous Afghan government and ruled the districts for five years and were finally driven out and root out together by the Afghan forces, the people uprising, and the Taliban.
ISIS has been proving to be a security nightmare in Afghanistan. The group may be down to 1,500 operatives, but still have the capabilities of carrying out massive attacks in Afghanistan.
The ISKP which had over 6,000 fighters when it was founded, now has just 1,500 members. It has been at war with the Taliban, but has not found much success.
Indian agencies say that the worry is that Pakistan may use the ISKP as a proxy against India. The Taliban has given an assurance that it would not allow terror groups to use its soil to launch attacks on third countries.
Daesh Does Not Pose Threat to Afghanistan: Taliban's Mujahid
[ToloNews] The Taliban caretaker government can restrain Daesh in Afghanistan and the group is not capable of posing a threat to the country, said Deputy Minister of Culture and Information Zabihullah Mujahid.
Speaking to TOLOnews, Mujahid said two groups have been arrested in relation to the last incidents in Nangarhar province.
“Arrest the usual suspects, Legumullah! We’ll want two from Column A and three from Column B.”
“Daesh is not a threat, because the thought of Daesh is a hated thought among the people. No one supports them. Second, our combat against Daesh was effective in the past and we know how to neutralize their techniques," Mujahid said.
Daesh claimed responsibility for several attacks in Kabul and Nangarhar province over the last month. Videos in which Daesh claimed responsibility for the attacks were posted by Amaq News Agency, an outlet with links to Daesh.
Considering the last attacks in Nangarhar and Kabul, some political analysts said that the group seems to be present in Afghanistan. Ibrahim Baes, a political analyst, told TOLOnews: “They wanted to show they are actively present in Afghanistan. They have decided to fight against the current government in Afghanistan.”
The US, NATO and others in the international community continually cite concerns over Al Qaeda and Daesh activity in Afghanistan, but the Taliban has pledged to not allow for any insurgent group to operate from Afghanistan and threaten other countries.
[YahooFinance] China Evergrande (SEHK:3333) is the topic of the hour. Set to default on its debts, it is wreaking havoc on global markets. As of this writing, all major stock indexes were down significantly in pre-market trading. China’s hang seng index, which trades overnight in North American time zones, closed the day down 3.3%.
It’s going to be a rough week. There’s guaranteed to be fallout from Evergrande’s implosion, and it’s going to affect stocks. The question is, how bad will it get? With the Evergrande situation, many of the world’s biggest financial institutions are at risk. It does not look like Evergrande will be getting a bailout, so it will go into default. The company doesn’t have enough liquidity to pay its debts quickly. So if bondholders do get paid, it will only be far in the future, after massive asset sales have occurred.
WHY SOME THINK EVERGRANDE COULD TANK THE GLOBAL ECONOMY
Many people think that Evergrande could collapse the global economy as U.S. banks did in 2008. Evergrande has a whopping $300 billion in debt owed to financial institutions all over the world. Major Chinese, U.S., and European banks could lose money over this. And as 2008 showed, when banks experience losses, economic contagion ensues.
The 2008 financial crisis started when sub-prime mortgages went into default and banks and other financial institutions started taking losses. The losses were compounded by losses on derivatives built on mortgages and mortgage-backed securities. By the time all was said and done, $8 trillion in stock market value was wiped out.
An order of magnitude difference, assuming the $300 billion really is all the debt there is. On the other hand, the world economy is particularly fragile at the moment, possibly taking less to reach a tipping point.

That's a weird way of saying "criminal elites screwed us all over, deliberately, spread mass suffering, and not a single one of them went to prison despite committing multiple very serious felonies."

assuming the $300 billion really is all the debt there is.
Also assuming Evergrande is the only one doing it. The problem with the 2008 banking crisis is that all large banks were "investing" in liar loans and derivatives. In the end no one knew who was solvent and who was pretending.

The mortgage loans were mandated by congress (i.e Dems) and then the crooks and con men moved in.
The Dems in Congress, and many if not most of their Republican colleagues, were the crooks and con men. Remember, the mortgage meltdown happened on W's watch.

Evergrande needs to be seen in the context of Xi Jinping's move to consolidate his own power in China and return that country to a purer form of communism than what was practiced by his predecessors. He is cracking down on big tech and other big companies because he sees them as a growing threat to the CCP's power. Today's WSJ had an article that told of Xi's concern when Twitter closed Trump's account. You can well imagine that he would not want to allow anything like that to happen to him. If I was a big time investor, I would be looking to minimize my exposure to Chinese stocks.

I'd expect the short-term consequences to be limited. Like Japan's, China's economy can be classified as managed capitalism, with a cadre of self-important morons doing the equivalent of flipping switches on a panel. The difference in China is that anyone who gets in the way can end up in a gulag. If the Chinese property bubble bursts, we can expect to see many years of doldrums similar to the 90% top to bottom Japanese real estate crash that took 20 years to play out. But the odds of a Black Monday type crash in infinitesimal. What China does have going for it is that it still has a bunch of catching up to do on the tech frontier, whereas Japan was all caught up, but lacked the werewithal to extend that frontier in a way that made a dent on economic stats. Whereas roughly 1/2 of China has a per capita (that's household income/number of people in a household) income of less than 1,000 yuan per month.

There is no knock-off effect. US investors have no exposure to Chinese property - by order of the CCP. Didn't make any money off their bubble and won't lose any money now that Mao Xi-Tung wants to pop that bubble.

So now the Dems want to bring a bunch of unvetted Afghans to the U.S. who will most likely congregate in some place like Dearborn or Minneapolis and then elect an Afghan to congress Ilhan Omar. Why is she still in office?

Well, Senate rules aren't the Constitution, but a Congressthing demanding the Senate do something is more likely to cause the Senate to do the exact opposite.

Is "woke" Hollywood going the same way as the "woke" NBA, i.e. marketing their products in China?
Lebron - Hong Kong protesters need to go home before opening night of Space Jam 2.
The longer answer, is Hollywood has been continually courting the international, especially chinese market since the re-make of Red Dawn.
When Star Wokes was advertised in china the movie poster had to be redone to eliminate various diversity cues, which disney was all to happy to comply with.
They are all Woke, until China is on the phone, they aren't interesting in that Baizuo bullshit, specifically banning any American films which promote that.
Little bit of evidence, Marvel as a line is the premier propagandist of woke, their new comics, their re-imagines, their advertised plans for the movie line. Except Shang-Chi, purpose selected and made for the Chinese market.
But because the Tenants of Woke require absolute brainlessness, the movie tanked, because why would the Chinese be interested in eating leftover Panda Express?
[KhaamaPress] Over one month after the Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... takeover and the deadly evacuation of nearly 150 thousand people from Kabul International Airport, the airport has officially been open and fully operational for both domestic and international flights from Sunday, September 19.
The national aviation administration of Afghanistan announced that the airport is operational 12 hours a day mainly from 6 am to 6 pm.
Officials in the administration have said that the first commercial international flight took off from the airport to Islamabad on Sunday, September 19 and they are to be continued.
They pledged that they are still trying hard to prepare the airport for flights by night.
The administration has asked UAE, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and other countries to resume flights to Kabul but they have only gotten a green signal from Pakistain and Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate JewsZionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... for the time being.
The largest airport in Afghanistan has been inflicted damage worth nearly $20 million by the US marines before they complete the evacuation and the airport was later repaired by Qatar ...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi... i and Ottoman Turkish technical teams.
Heckuva donation there, guys. The Talibs won’t have any money to pay for anything until the opium poppy crop is refined and shipped off to the usual buyers.
Taliban are now securing the airport only and the former male and female Afghan personnel are asked to return to their jobs.

on Sunday, September 19, and has pledged the Chinese assistance relief to arrive by winter this year.
As per the statement of the ministry, China will provide the people of Afghanistan with $15 million in humanitarian aid and one million doses of the Corona vaccine.
Earlier, Yu along with the Pak ambassador to Kabul Mansoor Ahmad Khan was the first foreign envoys who met acting foreign minister after the Taliban ...Arabic for students... declared their interim cabinet.
Pakistain has also sent its first consignment through the Torkham crossing point on Sunday, September 19 which contained 278 tonnes of food ingredients.
Officials of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan have welcomed the aid from the international community and have assured it be distributed transparently.
The provision of relief assistance comes as over 18 million people of Afghanistan are in need of humanitarian aid as the winter season is approaching.

[GatestoneInstitue] It was certainly the weirdest year. It began with a supremely weird decision by the entire world, except China and Sweden, to tank the global economy.
No one has ever done that before. The only major economic power to grow last year was China whose GDP is up by, I think, about 2.5 percent compared to declines everywhere else, including some actually catastrophic ones, such as 11% in the UK.
This decision to tank the entire global economy is something that strengthened China, the creator of the virus, and the exporter of the virus, and weakened any opposition to China -- and that is how they began.
This first year of the new weirdness ended with the United States government pretending that its principal threat is a domestic terrorism movement that does not exist.
This is the characterization of the so‑called insurrection on January 6th. We were told two weeks later that there were going to be mass insurrections, not only in Washington but in every state capital. Montpelier, Vermont, for example, the smallest state capital in the Union, went into lockdown. There was no such insurrection at any of these state capitals.
Then they said, "No, there is going to be an insurrection on March 4th," because that was Benjamin Harrison's Inauguration Day back in the old days and people apparently attach such great significance to that, that there was going to be a mass insurrection. There was no such thing on March 4th. Now, we are told it will be March 20th.
I have lived in countries that have real domestic terrorism movements. It is not something that one should concoct out of whole cloth lightly. No country blessed enough not to have a domestic terrorism movement should be inventing one.
We used to be told back after 9/11, there was a cliché after 9/11, "If we don't maintain our normal life, if we don't carry on shopping, if we don't carry on going to sports features, then the terrorists will have won!"
Now, it is the complete opposite with this new alleged domestic terrorism movement, and everything we do has to be changed. We have to have a permanently armed capital city in Washington. Because of this so‑called domestic terrorism movement, we have to have a border wall around the US Capitol. We are living in a blizzard of lies. Read the rest at the link

My great worry is that actually, the transfer to China has already happened. The baton has already been passed. We just haven't formally acknowledged that yet.

Four men in Britannia have been charged for allegedly shouting antisemitic abuse and threats during a pro-Paleostinian protest in north London earlier this year, police said on Monday.
London’s Metropolitan Police said that the four, all from Blackburn, in northwest England, were charged with "using threatening, abusive or insulting words, or behavior, with intent, likely to stir up racial hatred."
The men were arrested after a video circulated on social media in May which appeared to show anti-Semitic abuse being shouted from a car traveling in a convoy decorated with Paleostinian flags.
In the video, cars with Paleostinian flags are seen driving through areas of the British capital with many Jewish residents, while protesters honk their horns and scream "F*** their mothers, rape their daughters."
The Community Security Trust, a Jewish watchdog and security group, linked the incident to anti-Israel protests held in London by pro-Paleostinian protesters amid the 11-day war between Israel and Hamas, one of the armed feet of the Moslem Brüderbund millipede, terror group in Gaza.
The protest was one of several held across Britannia in response to the worst violence in years between Israel and Paleostinian terrorists, and prompted an increased police presence in Jewish areas of the British capital.
The four men charged — aged 24, 25, 26, and 27 — were due to appear in court in London on Wednesday, the Met said.

"A little insane, right?" one man traveling through Mendocino, a small coastal city in northern California with beautiful views, told Fox News.
Another man agreed.
"It’s a problem," he said. "The price of everything is going up."
Schlafer’s Auto Body & Repair, the only gas station in Mendocino, charged $6.74 a gallon — the highest in the nation — at the time of Fox News' interviews. The average price for gas in California is $4.39, over a dollar more than this time last year, and the national average is $3.20.
One of two employees who works at the nearly 100-year-old independent station, Joe, told Fox News the station has to charge high prices.
"Our volume is very low," he said. The employee told Fox News the station has to purchase a $35,000 load in 10 days.
"If we're paying $4 a gallon for gas, if it's not marked up, we're not going to be able to pay for that," he said.
Nationally, prices have climbed 5.3% over the past year and 0.3% in August, according to the most recent Consumer Price Index Summary. Gas prices rose 2.8% and food prices rose 0.4%.
"It’s tough, it’s hard for people," one woman told Fox News. "It’s hard for the elderly to afford."
Her friend, who lives in an RV with her husband, said: "We’re on a fixed income so we don’t have money to spend like this."
Bill Kemper has been coming to Mendocino for years.
"It’s crazy, it's terrible, it's not necessary," he told Fox News.
"I’m retired myself so I live on a fixed income. So these things matter to me and my generation," Kemper continued. "I worked hard like everybody else in my situation did to be able to retire, but if prices keep escalating like it is, it’s going to make it very difficult for everybody in California and in the country as well."

[OneIndia] The Bengaluru police has apprehended one person who was providing information regarding the defence establishment.
The police said that they had apprehended a person who is a resident of Rajasthan on charges that he was sharing sensitive information relating to the Indian Army with foreign agencies.
China? Pakistan? Timbuktu??? We’ll leave this as Page 3: Non-WoT until it’s revealed.
The Military Intelligence had provided the police information about the man's activities, following which in a joint operation, he was nabbed, the police also said. He was taking pictures of the defence establishments in Bengaluru and sharing them with foreign agencies, the police also said.
The police said that the accused was in the possession of a military uniform. He was using the same to enter the establishments and gather information, the police also learnt. The Bengaluru police said that the matter has been taken up seriously and a detailed probe is being conducted in this regard.
[ToloNews] In reaction to European Union ...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing... concerns over human rights When they're defined by the state or an NGO they don't mean much... violations in Afghanistan, Zabihullah Mujahid, deputy minister of the Ministry of Information and Culture of the caretaker cabinet, said on Monday that if the international community recognizes the new government, they will address the concerns over allegations of human rights violations.
"As long as we are not recognized, and they make criticisms (over rights violations), we think it is a one-sided approach. It would be good for them to treat us responsibly and recognize our current government as a responsible administration. Afterward, they can share their concerns lawfully with us and we will address their concerns," Mujahid told TOLOnews.
Mujahid’s remarks come after the ambassador and head of the EU delegation in Afghanistan, Andreas Von Brandt, on Sunday said the EU is deeply concerned over human rights violations in Afghanistan, especially the violation of women and girls’ right to education and work.
"The substance of my criticism remains: human rights are under threat in Afghanistan, particularly the right to education and right to work," Brandt tweeted.
Saleem Paiger, leader of the Hizb-e-Mutahid-Fikre Mardum Afghanistan, meanwhile said the Taliban ...Arabic for students... should not make investigations into allegations about human rights violations a condition for world recognition. "The Taliban are Afghans, but they should not take such issues hostage as a condition to be recognized by the world," he said.
Afghanistan’s Independent Human Rights Commission (AIHRC) issued a statement on Sunday saying it has not been able to fulfill its duties since the collapse of the former government on August 15, adding that Taliban forces have occupied its offices and are using its equipment.
The AIHRC called on the UN Human Rights Council to establish an independent body for monitoring human rights violations in Afghanistan and called on the Taliban to respect human rights. "The AIHRC call upon the Taliban to respect the independence of the AIHRC and its staff and all Afghan human rights defenders, who have worked tirelessly to protect the fights of the Afghan people," reads the statement.
Reacting to this, Mujahid said AIHRC is not an international body, and added that they have started investigations into allegations regarding the occupation of AIHRC buildings. "AIHRC belongs to the former Kabul administration, and it was an official body in that time and it is not an international human rights body. However, we can't all be heroes. Somebody has to sit on the curb and applaud when they go by... we will see who has used their office and how. Investigations are ongoing," Mujahid said.
Previously, Human Rights Watch and other international organizations voiced their concerns over reported violations of human rights by Taliban forces, but the Taliban has always rejected the allegations.

Footage from CNN shows a large continent of law enforcement officials arriving at the home on Monday. FBI agents and police moved into the Laundrie house in force around 9.40 am this morning. I trust they found the Capitol Hill Lego sets in the house...
[OneIndia] Indian Army has launched a search operation along the Line of Control after detecting suspicious movement in the Uri Sector of North Kashmir ...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there.... . No contact has been established as yet and there is no clarity on whether any infiltrator had intruded into Indian territory.
Army launches search op along LoC after detecting suspicious movement
Colonel Emron Masavi confirmed that there was suspicious movement detected along the LoC von the intervening night of September 18/19. He said that the search operation was under progress.
While there has been a significant drop in the number of infiltrations this year, the Army has said that the guard cannot be lowered. Our men are on constant vigil and it is due to this that the infiltrations have come down, an Army official said.
[OneIndia] There has been no ceasefire violation along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir since the reiteration of the agreement between the armies of India and Pakistain in February this year, a top Army official here said on Monday.
General Officer Commanding (GoC) of the Army''s Srinagar-based 15 Corps or Chinar Corps, Lt Gen D P Pandey, said there have been some infiltration attempts, but unlike previous years they have not been "adequately supported" by ceasefire violations.
"The ceasefire violations have not increased. This year there has been none (ceasefire violation). At least in the Kashmir Valley, there has been zero," the GoC told news hounds on the sidelines of a function here.
Lt Gen Pandey said while there has been no instigation from Pakistain, the Indian Army is totally alert and prepared to respond appropriately to any ceasefire violation.
"We are totally prepared for ceasefire violations, if anything happens, we are all set to respond appropriately. But, frankly, there has been no instigation from across the border," he said.
Asked about infiltration attempts made by faceless myrmidons from across the LoC this year, the Army officer said there have hardly been any successful attempts.
"There have been some attempts. Unlike previous years, these have not been adequately supported (by ceasefire violations). There have hardly been any successful attempts, only about two attempts have succeeded. One was neutralised in Bandipora and we are looking for the second one," he said.
Referring to the search operation launched by the Army along the LoC in Uri sector in Baramulla district of north Kashmir, the GoC said the operation has been ongoing for the last 24 hours after "we felt that there is an infiltration attempt which has been made".
"We are looking for them...are they on this side or have gone back after making an attempt, that issue has not yet been clarified or verified on the ground,'' he said.
Lt Gen Pandey, however, said the force was alert to foil any infiltration attempt.
"I can assure you that we are quite alert . Our troops on the ground are totally alert and we will ensure that minimal infiltration takes place whenever they attempt," he said.
India and Pakistain had agreed to the strict observance of all agreements, understandings and ceasefire along the Line of Control and all other sectors with effect from the February 24-25 midnight 2021.

[FoxNews] Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas traveled to Del Rio, Texas, on Monday for a briefing on how the Biden administration is responding to a migrant surge in the area. "Rushes?" What's he been doing all this time? Mayorkas channeling Obama: "First I heard about this, I read it in the news today"
According to the Department of Homeland Security, Mayorkas is meeting with state and local officials to address the situation, in which thousands of predominantly Haitian migrants are flooding the border. Many have set up a de facto camp under a bridge to shelter from the 100-degree heat as their numbers swell and they wait to be processed by Border Patrol.
"We certainly are experiencing a challenging situation, but we are surging resources and we have a multipronged approach to this," Mayorkas told CNN on Sunday. He said that so far the administration had added 600 agents as part of a surge in the region and was working with with American Red Cross and World Central Kitchen to bring supplies and food to people.
Mayorkas discouraged more people from rushing to the border to try and enter the U.S., especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
"We have sent a very clear message early on in light of the fact that we are in the midst of a pandemic, that the border is not open and people should not take the perilous journey here," he said. "We are returning people to other countries."
Lawmakers, including Rep. August Pfluger, R-Texas, have said the situation was sparked in part by a halt to deportation flights by the Biden administration. Pfluger said Haitians and others who were waiting in Central America took that as a green light to come to the U.S.
"So when those flights were stopped by the U.S. government...they got the word and it was like ‘go time,’" he said.
On Friday, the administration closed down the Del Rio point of entry, instead directing migrants to Eagle's Pass 57 miles away.
DHS announced Saturday it was taking a number of additional steps to address the matter, including ramping up deportation flights to Haiti, moving people from Del Rio to other processing centers, and having Border Patrol emergency medical technicians in Del Rio to provide water, towels and portable toilets.
Haitian migrants began flowing back across the Rio Grande to Mexico over fear of deportation from the U.S. as DHS ramps up removal flights of the 15,000 mostly Haitian migrants
Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on Sunday visited the southern border where migrants set up camp
'We certainly are experiencing a challenging situation, but we are surging resources and we have a multi-pronged approach to this,' Mayorkas said
Removal flights full of migrants began over the weekend, with three planes full of Haitians who fled to the U.S. landing in Port-au-Prince, Haiti on Sunday
DHS plans to ramp up removal flights to six or seven each day
President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris have not addressed the latest developments at the southern border
Neither have visited the Rio Grande Valley, where they majority of the illegal crossings are taking place
[PUNCHNG] Following the recent killing of the Boko Haram ...Nigeerian Islamist group, formerly paying homage to al-Qaeda, then, when the money ran out, to the Islamic State, and headed by nutcase Abu Bakr Shekau. I hope it's not rhinocerous again! ... leader Abubakar Shekau ...the lunatic leader of Boko Haram who has been reported dead at least eleven times, pledged his body and soul to ISIS, told his fighters to hang it up once or twice, and been fired by the Caliph and refused to step down. Last seen in 2017, sneaking into Cameroon while wearing a burka... by the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... of West African Province terrorist group and subsequent surrender of thousands of Boko Haram krazed killers, ISWAP has started massive recruitment drive. The Director, Army Public Relations, Brig. Gen. Onyeama Nwachukwu, said this on Sunday during a tour at the headquarters of the Theatre Command, Operation Hadin Kai Maimalari, in Maiduguri, Bornu State.
He urged members of the public to be on the lookout within their immediate environment.
Nwachukwu said, "I will like to mention that the ISWAP, very recently, haven been depleted by the surrendering of their member, as well as and conflict between them. They have embarked on what I will call a massive recruitment drive and I consider it very important to engage the media o block this recruitment.
"The Boko Haram Death Eaters have been surrendering. People have questioned the authenticity of the surrendering of these Death Eaters and why they are surrendering at this time.
"There are also the questions on the reintegration of these krazed killers. Another question is what the plight of the victims of the insurgency is.
"That is the essence of this tour. The military is not resting on its oars in the fight to end insurgency and insecurity in the country," Nwachukwu said.
