Video shows gangster's girlfriend pulled knife from bag and stabbed NYC bodega worker, 61, as he defended himself in dispute over $3: Fury as store worker is charged with murder for stabbing assailant while woman walks away scot free
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • Jose Alba stabbed Austin Simon to death on July 1 in a row over a bag of chips

  • Simon's girlfriend's card was declined as she tried to pay for the snacks

  • Alba, 61, refused to let her have the chips for free and she called Simon for back-up

  • Simon, who was on parole for attacking a cop at the time, charged into the bodega and went behind the counter

  • He confronted Alba, demanding an apology, then dragged him out

  • Alba then used the store's boxcutter to stab him in the neck and the chest

  • Simon's girlfriend produced her own knife and slashed Alba in the arm

  • She hasn't been charged but Alba was charged with 2nd degree murder

  • His bond was lowered last week following public outcry over the woke DA's decision to prosecute him

  • Jose Alba is from the Dominican Republic and became a US citizen 14 years ago

Europe
Germany Shuts Nord Stream for Repair, and Europe Holds its Breath-Peter Zeihan
Germany shut down the Nord Stream 1 Pipeline today for a pre-scheduled 10-day maintenance period. Whether or not Russian natural gas will resume westward flows to Germany after repairs are made is anybody's guess.

The 55 bcm/yr pipeline is a key component of the energy détente forged between Germany--the economic and manufacturing heart of Europe--and post-Cold War Russia. It has also inculcated a German dependency on Russian gas that has shaped German economic and security policy (and, by extension, Europe's) since the project first entered the planning phase over 20 years ago.

#2  ...It's hard to escape the conclusion that Oberlin's endgame is simply hoping that a miracle of some kind will happen, and this will all just somehow go away. I've also heard that the school may be dragging this out in the hopes that the Gibsons will simply have the decency to quit - but the money is high enough now, and the eventual outcome sure enough, that the plaintiff's attorneys aren't going to give in. In the end, the Gibsons may end up seeing a little bit less than half of that $40M, but it doesn't matter to them.

It's my understanding that they can't use their endowment, because alumni have made it quite clear that to do so will mean the end of any further donations. The college's insurance will pay it (or more likely, a chunk but not ALL) but after that, they well may be dropped, and rotsa ruck finding anybody who will pick them up after this.

The utter and complete disconnect between the school and the community that has existed for easily the last sixty-five years or so is also coming home to roost. The school and students have nothing but contempt for the community, and the community is quite tired of being considered as illiterate racist rednecks who exist mostly to be doormats for the elitist clowns who teach, administrate, and attend. The Gibsons are getting pretty much 100% support, and the school has almost none.

#8  Lena Dunham - Famous Oberlin Alumni™:
While a student at Oberlin College, Dunham produced several independent short films and uploaded them to YouTube. Many of her early films dealt with themes of sexual enlightenment and were produced in a mumblecore filmmaking style, a dialog-heavy style in which young people talk about their personal relationships. In 2006, she produced Pressure, in which a girl and two friends talk about experiencing an orgasm for the first time, which makes Dunham's character feel pressured to do so as well.[34][35] "I didn't go to film school", Dunham explains. "Instead I went to liberal arts school and self-imposed a curriculum of creating tiny flawed video sketches, brief meditations on comic conundrums, and slapping them on the Internet."[36]
Dunham on the set of her web series Delusional Downtown Divas

Another early film, entitled The Fountain, which depicted her in a bikini brushing her teeth in the public fountain at Oberlin College, went viral on YouTube.[37][38] "Her blithe willingness to disrobe without shame caused an outburst of censure from viewers," observed The New Yorker's Rebecca Mead.[18] Dunham was shocked by the backlash and decided to take the video down:

There were just pages of YouTube comments about how fat I was, or how not fat I was," Dunham said. "I didn't want you to Google me and the first thing you see is a debate about whether my breasts are misshapen."[18]

the interest currently is over $4M.

more interest piles up each day.

Currently Oberlin has appealed to the Ohio Supreme Court. If the court refuses to hear the appeal, which is likely, Oberlin will have to pay up.

#16  Just end this. File a lien or several, get the sheriff to seize the college an all of its bank accounts, including the endowment funds. Pay off all judgements, interests, legal fees and sheriff expenses, among other costs. Then put the property up for sheriff sale.

This is not the time to be a nice guy, but be ruthless in collecting whats due!

Oberlin College brought this on themselves, there's no excuse period!

COVID-19: Blood cancer patients gain antibodies from vaccine booster - study
[JP] Blood cancer patients, already at high risk, often did not develop antibodies against COVID-19 from the first shot. But the booster and antibody therapy can provide a better shield.

Many adults suffering from blood cancers who did not develop antibodies from their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine managed to do so after receiving the booster shot, a new study has found. In addition, receiving antibody alongside the second dose can further shield patients from the virus.

Patients suffering from blood cancers are at high risk of developing a severe case of the disease after being infected with the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, which causes COVID-19. However, the fact that many do not develop immune responses to initial vaccination has raised concerns.

The findings of this study, published in the peer-reviewed academic journal Cancer, raises hopes for protecting these high-risk cancer patients from the global pandemic.

Now An Outbreak Of The Marburg Virus Has Begun
[Econ Collapse] Why are so many unusual outbreaks of disease suddenly happening all over the planet? We were already dealing with a seemingly endless global pandemic coming into 2022, and so far this year a bird flu pandemic has resulted in the deaths of tens of millions of our chickens and turkeys, the worst monkeypox outbreak in history has spread like wildfire in the western world, and now it is being reported that there is an outbreak of the Marburg Virus in Africa. We have already lost our opportunity to contain monkeypox, and that is really bad news. But if authorities are not able to successfully contain this new Marburg outbreak, we could potentially be facing a scenario that is downright apocalyptic.

The new outbreak of the Marburg Virus is happening in Ghana. The two victims that have died so far did not know each other, and officials believe that this is evidence that "the disease is spreading more widely"...

Information special operations
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Commentary by a Russian blogger, all remarks NOT in italics.

[DonRF] Ukraine asks citizens to leave the Russian-controlled south of the country because of plans to launch a counteroffensive, said Deputy Prime Minister for the reintegration of Ukraine Irina Vereshchuk.

Will Kiev try to attack? Yes, they will. Do I need to flee from Berdyansk and Melitopol? It's a matter of taste, of course, but not really. Before us is a classic large-scale information special operation. One of those that we never learned to do. And there are a lot of these operations. Terrorist attacks, for example, in the liberated territories are also special operations of an informational nature. Shelling of Donetsk and Lugansk too. The goals of the Kievites are clear - the chaos of life in the former Ukrainian territories and the transformation of these territories into a suitcase without handles. What does the shelling of Donetsk lead to, for example:

During this month, 4 anesthesiologists left for the Russian Federation. Before that (those whom I know) -3 traumatologists, 2 urologists. In some departments, doctors work on 2 rates! No holidays!

I think the picture in the shelling zone is about the same. People want to live and people leave. We must pay tribute to the enemy - pessimism and a sense of hopelessness are pumped up masterfully and to the fullest. Now warehouses and headquarters have been added to this:

So, look, good people. Ukrainian rocket launchers and artillery have already struck several times at our decision-making centers. With result. The centers are small but important. I do not write here where, when, how much, and by whom.

In order not to give out military secrets. Whoever is in the subject will understand: if the reporter Sladkov and his colleagues know, then many others know.

which adds optimism. And what is the answer? But nothing. Nothing at all. No articulation of attack plans, let's say Zaporozhye, no sudden sudden deaths of the top pigs, not even a clear voicing of what will happen next with this land. All at the level of winks and hints. In the end, we have what we have. In terms of pessimism and hopelessness. The tops don’t want to, the bottoms ... The bottoms can do a lot - provide the army with UAVs, PPE, socks in the end and a tourniquet, but they can’t wage sabotage behind enemy lines, they can’t hit decision-making centers, demolish military infrastructure and work instead of the General Staff , which is the same:

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the LPR stated that the allied forces liberated the village of Bogorodichnoye in the DPR, a powerful bridgehead is being organized for an attack on Slavyansk

decided to continue the SVO to liberate only Donbass. I didn’t decide myself, politicians, as well as about all of the above, but who is better off from that? Breaking is not to build, it's easier, and they will continue to break. To the fullest and where they can. And we will spend the resource not on development, but on patching holes that might not exist. Just start paying your opponent with the same coin. But I'm afraid... We're not like that, God forgive me. And here they are. And if anyone thinks that this is good, then I feel sorry for them.

Pro-Abortion Group Threatens Southern States with ‘Floating Abortion Clinic' in Gulf of Mexico
[Breitbart] In 2019, Alabama passed the nation’s strictest anti-abortion prohibition into law, offering no exceptions beyond a pregnancy that threatens the mother’s life.

Immediately after Gov. Kay Ivey (R-AL) signed the bill, U.S. Middle District of Alabama Judge Myron Thompson ruled the law could not go into effect based on Supreme Court precedents that forbid bans before fetal viability. However, following the release of the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision, Thompson lifted the injunction, and the ban is now law.

A San Francisco-based pro-abortion activist group, known as PRROWESS, or Protecting Reproductive Rights of Women Endangered by State Statutes, seeks to offer an end-around Alabama state law and other nearby states with abortion bans by offering election abortion services offshore in the Gulf of Mexico in international waters.

PRROWESS’s Dr. Meg Autry, an abortion provider in San Francisco who describes the procedure as her "life’s work," told NBC Bay Area she seeks to raise about $20 million for a floating abortion clinic.

12+ miles out to avoid Federal and State jurisdiction, control authority and US/State laws.

So who issues the Medical & Boat accreditations and Insurance coverages for the Abortion ship operating in international waters?

What about the aborted babies, will they feed the sharks or pollute the Gulf of Mexico? Because returning to port with the evidence of a crime will get them arrested.

I guess exporting dead baby body parts to make certain stem cell items for the rich/elite and $500 a bottle skin creams will have some rich vain types be effected also.

Transportation costs estimated to be a round $1,500 due to Diesel fuel shortages & price in addition to the infanticide costs.

Why not just head to Mexico?
OH! that's right, darn Mexico has stringent "Anti-Infanticide" laws, because they support life and responsibility.

Well, then take a bus to a state that allows infanticide to XX weeks or to Canada? Canada is a good Liberal/Socialist run country, it welcomes Infanticide and practically has no restrictions at all.

Cattle died after Turkey attacked areas in Iraqi Kurdistan
[Shafaq News] On Saturday, Ottoman Turkish warplanes struck a village within the Darkar district of Zakho in the Kurdistan Region.

A security source told Shafaq News Agency that the attack resulted in the death of many cattle.

It is worth noting that the Ottoman Turkish bombardment continued for two days in the border areas.

Last April, Ankara launched an action called "Operation Claw Lock," A part of its Claw operations, to "prevent terror attacks" and ensure border security following an assessment that the PKK was planning a large-scale attack.

Udaipur tailor murder: NIA arrests seventh person, close aide of main accused
[OneIndia] The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested the seventh person in connection with the brutal killing of tailor Kanhaiya Lal in Rajasthan's Udaipur last month.

Farhad Mohammad Sheikh, alias Babla, was arrested on Saturday evening, a spokesperson from the NIA said. He was a "close criminal associate" of Riaz Akhtari, one of the two main accused, and took an active part in the conspiracy to kill the tailor, the spokesperson added.

Kanhaiya Lal was killed with murdered a cleaver inside his tailoring shop on June 28 and the incident was recorded by one ot the two accused (Riaz Akhtari, who is also referred to as Riyaz Attari) on camera.

They claimed in another clip that they hacked Lal to death to avenge an alleged insult to Islam.

As the incident shocked the entire nation, the cops flung into action and they were arrested within hours of the killing. Besides the duo, against whom the evidence is a self-shot video, the security agencies nabbed two more persons -- identified Mohsin and Asif -- who are alleged to be a part of the conspiracy to spread terror amongst the public on the lam. Two more accused -- Mohammed Mohsin and Wasim -- were arrested subsequently for being part of the criminal conspiracy and helping the two main accused in carrying out recce of the tailor's shop.

The probe agencies have claimed to have found several Pak numbers on their WhatsApp accounts and said that one of the accused was part of some secret groups ostensibly meant for religious activities. In one of these groups, it was alleged that Ghouse had been asked to do "something spectacular" to avenge the insult to Islam and the officials believed that this could be the turning point where the "barbaric" act of killing the tailor could have been hatched.

They said that Mohsin's place was used for sharpening the cleaver used in the killing and Asif had helped in carrying out the recce of the tailor's shop. The NIA had on June 29 re-registered the case under the anti-terror Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act after taking it over from the Rajasthan Police.

The case was initially registered at Dhanmandi cop shoppe in Udaipur. "NIA has re-started the paperwork but haven't done much else under sections 452, 302, 153(A), 153(B), 295(A) and 34 of IPC and sections 16, 18 & 20 of UA(P) Act, 1967 against accused who have conspired, planned and committed the heinous murder...," the agency spokesperson had said.

"The accused persons had also circulated a video of the criminal act in the social media claiming responsibility for the murder in order to trigger panic and strike terror among the masses across the country," the spokesperson had said.

Iraq
Iraq's President confirmed its stand by the Palestinians
[Shafaq News] On Saturday, the Iraqi President, Barham Salih, received a phone call from Paleostinian President the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas
...aka Abu Mazen, a graduate of the prestigious unaccredited Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow with a doctorate in Holocaust Denial. While no Yasser Arafat, he has his own brand of evil, just a little more lowercase....
on Eid al-Adha
...a major Moslem holiday, marked by animal sacrifice and ritual rioting...
In a statement, the Iraqi presidency said they discussed the "ways to strengthen the solid relations that unite the two peoples."

President Abbas thanked Saleh for Iraq's "firm stances regarding the rights of the Paleostinians and their just cause."

In turn, Saleh affirmed Iraq's firm position, including its people and government, towards the Paleostinian cause, stressing that Iraq stands by the Paleostinian people to obtain their full legitimate rights.

Last April, the Iraqi parliament voted by a majority in favor of a law, "Criminalizing Normalization and Establishment of Relations with the Zionist Entity."

The law criminalizes activities including "traveling to or from Israel, visiting any of its embassies, participating in conferences linked to Israel, and promoting Zionist ideas."

Violations of the law are punishable by life in prison or even death. The anti-normalization law expands on a 1969 law criminalizing communication with Israel.

The legislation stirred a wave of controversy on the local and international levels. The US State Department said the new Iraqi law undermines freedom of expression and promotes "an environment of antisemitism."

How ISIS obtains weapons and equipment
[Shafaq News] Security sources in Diyala revealed today, Sunday, the sources from which ISIS forces of Evil obtain advanced sniper weapons, rockets, and Katyusha launchpads.

The commander of the 144th Peshmerga Brigade of the second axis, Brigadier-General Jamal Warani, told Shafaq News agency that ISIS forces of Evil tend nowadays to kidnap civilians and ask for a ransom from the victims' families, to buy weapons and equipment in the areas between Tuz Khurmatu, east of Saladin to the outskirts of Kifri and the Kurdistan Region.

He added that the Peshmerga forces' military operations are ongoing to clear those areas and prevent the forces of Evil from smuggling rockets and weapons, or carrying out terrorist attacks.

For his part, a source in al-Hashd al-Shaabi (PMF) who works on the outskirts Hamrin, Diyala, told Shafaq News agency that undercover smugglers are providing rockets and weapons for the forces of Evil hiding in caves and tunnels located between Diyala and Saladin, the outskirts of Kirkuk,
... a thick stew of Arabs, Turkmen, Kurds, and probably Antarcticans, all of them mutually hostile most of the time...
through a way that is almost security-points-free.

The source indicated that ISIS has recruited farmers and shepherds, whether by paying or threatening them, to facilitate the smuggling process.

The spokesperson said that illegal arms, a grenade and mobile phones were recovered from their custody. During initial probe, they revealed that they were involved in "brainwashing youths and sending them to Afghanistan for militancy training". Later, the youths joined the IS and Al Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS).

3 Ahmadis arrested in Faisalabad for sacrificing animals on Eid
Pakistan is truly a special place.
[Dawn] A first information report (FIR) was registered in Faisalabad
...formerly known as Lyallpur, the third largest metropolis in Pakistain, the second largest in Punjab after Lahore. It is named after some Arab because the Paks didn't have anybody notable of their own to name it after...
on Sunday against members of the Ahmadi community for "hurting Moslem sentiments" by sacrificing animals on Eidul Azha.

Three members of the community have been arrested over the matter, Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya Pakistain spokesperson Saleemuddin told Dawn.com.

The FIR, a copy of which is available with Dawn.com, states that the complainants were present in a mosque after Eidul Azha prayers when they came to know through "verified sources" that residents of the Ahmadi community were sacrificing animals inside their homes.

The complainants then reached the area and "climbed the roofs of nearby houses, after which they saw that the [Ahmadi community members] were sacrificing a goat at one place while other members were cutting the meat of another animal at a different place", it added.

"The Islamic sentiments of the complainants and other Moslems were hurt by this and [the complainants] recorded a video which can be presented as evidence.

"By performing a ritual in line with Islamic beliefs and presenting themselves as Moslems despite being Ahmadis, they have committed a cognisable offence, according to Moslem ummah’s belief, and this has grievously hurt Moslem sentiments," the complainants stated.

The FIR was registered at Faisalabad’s cop shoppe Thikriwala against five people under Section 298-C (person of Qadiani group, etc., calling himself a Moslem or preaching or propagating his faith) of the Pakistain Penal Code (PPC).

The community’s spokesperson, Saleemuddin, said the slaughter was being performed within the confines of a house and not in a public place. "The community is being persecuted," he told Dawn.com.

The religious affairs ministry had asked the interior ministry earlier this month to ensure the implementation of Article 260(3) of the Constitution, which classifies segments of society as ’non-Moslems’, and Section 298-C of the PPC.

A letter addressed to the interior secretary, dated July 6, which Dawn.com has seen, stated that the article and Section 198-C "prevented" the Ahmadis from "posing themselves as Moslems and performing the Islamic practices".

"It is stated that the implementation of the penal provisions contained in the Pakistain Penal Code is the responsibility of interior ministry (law enforcement agencies) up to extent of ICT and provincial governments up to extent of provinces," the letter added.

The Grand Turk
Fitch cuts Turkey’s debt ratings to ‘B’
[Dawn] Ratings agency Fitch HAS downgraded The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor...
’s debt rating to "B" from "B+" citing increasing inflation and broad concerns about the economy, from a widening current account deficit to interventionist policies.

Inflation in Turkey shot to a 24-year high 78.62 per cent in June, mainly due to a currency crisis at the end of last year and the lira’s continued decline.

The economic fallout from Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has also stoked prices in import-dependent Turkey, especially due to rising energy and commodity costs.

In a statement on Friday, the agency affirmed its ratings outlook at "negative", adding that it expects Turkey’s consumption to slow given rising inflation, a weaker exchange rate and diminishing domestic confidence. Fitch forecast annual inflation to average 71.4pc this year, the highest among sovereigns rated by the agency, adding that its trajectory remains highly uncertain. Average inflation is set to slow to 57pc in 2023, Fitch said, due to overly accommodative policies until parliamentary and presidential elections scheduled for no later than June 2023.

The lira lost 44pc of its value against the dollar last year, mainly due to a series of rate cuts from the central bank, sought by President Tayyip Erdogan. The currency is down a further 23pc so far this year.

The government has taken steps to stem the lira’s decline. A recent move by the BDDK banking watchdog to restrict lira lending to foreign currency-rich companies helped it rally briefly last week as corporates sold hard currencies.

Slain Israeli-American girl’s parents seek meeting with Biden during Jerusalem visit
[IsraelTimes] Malki Roth’s parents say they want president to ’look us in the eyes,’ explain how Jordan can be considered a trustworthy ally when it refuses to extradite terrorist Ahlam Tamimi
She and her husband are second cousins, as so often is the case in that part of the world, both members of the infamous al-Tamimi clan from the village of Nabi Salih — near Ramallah in the West Bank — that has for several generations waged war, both kinetic and propaganda as opportunity and individual temperament require, against Israel’s Jews. Dear Ahlam al-Tamimi regularly worked as a scout and escape driver for Hamas, then moved in front of a TV camera to report on the exciting events she had just been involved in. She was serving sixteen life sentences for mistress-minding the Sbarro caper when she along with 999 others was traded for Gilad Shalit, the IDF sergeant kidnapped by Hamas. Possibly husband/cousin Nizar Tamimi is also a Hamasnik, but other relatives belong to Fatah or the PLO in general, so there are lots of possibilities.
The family of an Israeli-American girl killed in a 2001 Paleostinian suicide kaboom in Jerusalem is seeking a meeting with US President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. Former Senator-for-Life from Delaware, an example of the kind of top-notch Washington intellect hacked up by the World's Greatest Deliberative Body. The guy who single-handedly lost Afghanistan...
in hopes of forcing Jordan to extradite a woman convicted in the deadly attack.
I’m so sorry, Mr. and Mrs. Roth, but President Biden does not care, and he can’t be shamed into proper behaviour.
The parents of Malki Roth turned to Biden on Sunday asking to meet with the president when he comes to Jerusalem this week. They want the president to put pressure on Jordan, a close American ally, to send Ahlam Tamimi to the US for trial.

The South Korean military detected "flight trajectories" that were suspected to be shots from North Korean artillery, Seoul’s Joint Chiefs of Staff said.

"Our military spotted flight trajectories that are suspected to be North Korea’s multiple rocket launchers from around 18:21 to 18:37 pm today," said the Joint Chiefs of Staff in a text message to news hounds.

"Our military has strengthened surveillance and vigilance, and maintained a thorough readiness posture while keeping close US-South Korea cooperation," it added, without further details.

Seoul authorities did not share how many trajectories were detected in total.

The presidential National Security Office held a meeting over the North’s firing, and said it was "closely monitoring" the situation in case of additional launches by Pyongyang.

North Korea has carried out a blitz of sanctions-busting weapons tests this year, including firing an intercontinental ballistic missile at full range for the first time since 2017. These are banned under UN Security Council resolutions sanctioning North Korea’s missile development.

Washington and Seoul officials have also warned that the isolated regime is preparing to carry out what would be its seventh nuclear test — a move that the United States warned would provoke a "swift and forceful" response.

Last month, South Korean Defense Minister Lee Jong-sup said Seoul would "strengthen" its defense capabilities, as well as its security cooperation with Washington and Tokyo, to counter the nuclear threat from Pyongyang.

Rooters reported that South Korea was pursuing a $2.6 billion artillery interception system, similar to Israel’s Iron Dome, to protect against potential North Korean rocket attacks.

A total of six US top-of-the-line F-35A fighters arrived in the South last week for a 10-day allied exercise running until July 14, in the first public deployment of American stealth warplanes in the country since late 2017.

Ukrainian defense official announces the heavy losses and depletion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[RIA Novosti] Defense Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov announced numerous losses and exhaustion of the country's army. He spoke about this in an interview with The Wall Street Journal.

“We need to upgrade our units, replace them and reshuffle, because we have heavy losses. We want more armored vehicles, more weapons from our partners. We need to rebuild some areas, update fortifications and plan a new operational strategy,” he said.

According to Reznikov, Javelin and NLAW short-range missile systems are no longer on the list of priority equipment for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and now Kiev needs long-range artillery mounts.

Against the backdrop of a Russian special operation to defend the Donbass, which began on February 24, the United States and NATO allies continue to supply Ukraine with weapons for combat operations. Earlier, United States President Joe Biden signed a bill on the allocation of military, economic and humanitarian assistance to Kiev in the amount of about $40 billion.

Moscow has repeatedly pointed to the attempts of the West to drag out the conflict by supplying ammunition for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Russian Defense Ministry has warned that ammunition depots will become legitimate targets for the Aerospace Forces in Ukraine.

Ukrainian marines were taught on the textbooks of terrorists operating in Chechnya
Instructions for terrorists found in laptop of Ukrainian marine

[RIA Novosti] Instructions for terrorists were found in the laptop of a Ukrainian marine, drawn up taking into account the experience of military operations in Chechnya in the 1990s, RIA Novosti correspondent reports.

The introduction states that "the document was captured as a result of operational measures in the Chechen Republic" and "will be useful to thinking officers."

The first part of the instruction is entitled "Actions in the mountains and in the forest." It includes such paragraphs as "inconvenience for a surprise attack by the enemy," "convenience of protection and defense," "Equipment of a cache for storing weapons, ammunition, equipment and food," "Presence of a drinking source nearby," "Organization of ambushes for the enemy," "Mining the area."
Weird this comes up as Ukrainian naval infantry has repeatedly shown their mettle in battle, first against Donbas militia and then against Russian and Chechen regulars.
Some paragraphs are devoted to mining.

The second part of the instruction is called "Actions in the settlement". It is dedicated to the basics of conspiracy and fighting in urban areas - in the event that a terrorist cell is discovered by the authorities.

The presence of such detailed instructions indicates that the Ukrainian militants were prepared in advance for terrorist actions and operations against Russian troops. The Ukrainian military was asked to make full use of the experience gained by international terrorists in the North Caucasus.

It is apropos you should mention a narrative. Glenn Greenwald pointed out that western paid media outlets are under pressure to ignore the Russian versions of events.

I am posting from my "go to" Russian language sources, regnum.ru and korrespondent.net , and the Ukrainian language news outlets I consider to be of reasonable quality.

I post from newsfront because the Russian MoD website has been self blocked to prevent western hackers. newsfront has the most news condensed, about the Russian war on everyone, from the Russian perspective. It ain't perfect, but then, what is?

Our tech overlords have redstar.ru blocked, not that they have actual news, but they do have features and editorials for the Russian military I have in the past found to be interesting.

#16  Clearly we’ve reached the getting to know you stage, my dear Aca Joe. Which languages do you have? American English and Mexican Spanish, assuredly. Your mother’s tongue? Latin and Greek? Chinese for the clothing factories or Bengali? I know in Mexico City there are international schools where the students are immersed in the nation’s language (English, French, German, etc) — did you have that opportunity, or did you go to a local school that had foreign languages in the curriculum?

If you are struggling to explain something, try giving it to us in Spanish. I’ve forgotten all that I’d learnt at university, but there are plenty here who will be able to handle anything short of Medieval Catalan.

I agree with you about the difference between playing tourist and actually living somewhere. Mr. Wife’s career took us to Germany for four years, where I studied German and trailing daughter #1 went to the village preschool, followed by a year in Belgium, where the trailing daughters studied French at the American school and I studied Flemish. While we were over there we tootled around exploring on the weekends, as one does. The subsequent Guangzhou assignment fell through after I’d spent a year studying Chinese in preparation, but I had fun learning. I’ve joined Mr. Wife on a few business trips over the years, but mostly I let him go in his own — he worked even longer hours out there, and he was distinctly uncomfortable leaving me on my own in most of the countries. But he brought me home cookbooks and handicrafts and international colleagues in need of dinner, so that was ok.

There is this odd stereotype that Americans don’t speak foreign languages, odd because it has never been true. I live in Cincinnati, Ohio, in the middle of the American Midwest, and until shortly before the second world war there were German and other translators on staff at the courthouse downtown because they were needed all day long. Back in Buffalo, NY, my darling father-in-law was taught exclusively in Polish through sixth grade. Nowadays, according to the 2010 census, one in five Americans lives in a home where a language other than English is spoken. In the exurban public school the trailing daughters attended, there are known to be fifty-six languages spoken in students’ homes; the school website is available in eight languages in addition to English, five of them using non-Latin alphabets, and every year they put out a call for translators to help students with their final exams. Plus language courses: French, Spanish, and Latin offered on the school campus, and a dual credit program with the local universities for whatever they offer, via which trailing daughter #2 got two years of college Japanese a decade ago in addition to the Latin and German she and td#1 took in high school. And then there are language communities in the area that have after school or weekend language courses for children in Chinese, Korean, German, Hebrew, Russian, and no doubt others — my children went to Hebrew school while some of their friends went to the others I listed, preserving connections to familial cultures.

I agree with Trailing Wife's #2 comment

The Russian controlled Wagner group is desperate, and is trying to hire any RAW unskilled male 22 to 50 to wear a combat uniform.

We usually call this Cannon Fodder. Since they are not seasoned troops, they will be the 1st in to get the opposing army to waste ammo, point out weak defensive areas and limited expand resources on.

Think about it, they are so short handled they are even giving Jailed violent Prisoners positions in lieu of serving time.

Also, the Russian Press seems to be getting fed up with Putin's version of a Vietnam War and the costs it is having on the Russia people and economy.

Hell, Certain Russian MSM press is even now covering the street protests about the mass killing of Ukrainian Women, babies, children and citizens.

I have had a lot of help. All those articles about the Mexican drug war would be a mess but for the efforts of our in-house news editor Trailing Wife, who deserves the lion's share of thanks for keeping Rantburg going. #36  #26 SteveS, up in Boonville, CA - where I resided for some years and started my family, the locals invented the recognized language of Boontling. Trying to flood the zone like ISIS has been doing since 2015? Interesting. Do you have a link for that or is it just RUMINT?

The problem with sending a bunch of quickly trained assassins and saboteurs is that almost all of them turn out to be as [in]capable as Faisal the Fizzle Bomber (Faisal Shahzad, the MBA from Karachi whose father was a retired senior Pakistani air force officer), who went through the full suicide bomber course put on by Tehrik-e-Taliban (Pakistan) head trainer. Russian army is stuck in Bilogorivka in the Luhansk region, - Heyday
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[LB] "It's thanks to our defenders, who put up a decent fightback. Plus the good work of our gunners."

Vera Perun

Russian occupying forces cannot capture Bilogorivka, which is in Luhansk Region.

This was announced by the head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Gaidai .

"Russian troops are stuck today in Bilogorivka and most likely it is thanks to our defenders who are putting up a decent fightback. Plus a good job of our artillerymen who destroyed a large number of artillery depots in the last few days, so the logistics of the Russians are very bad at the moment with the delivery of ammunition ", - said Gaidai.

He noted that because of this, the number of enemy attacks and shelling decreased.

"They cannot go even one meter without artillery," Gaidai stressed.
Who the hell can?
It will be recalled that the head of the Luhansk Region has already reported that attempts by the Russians to advance from Lysychansk to Siversk are failing.

In Novaya Kakhovka (Kherson Region) , more than 100 Russians died as a result of shelling of the Russian army, and about two hundred more were injured.

In Luhansk region Russians remove children's comics from libraries as "harmful literature".

[LB] The occupiers qualify such publications as "literature promoting nationalism, Nazism and fascism."

In Luhansk Oblast , the Russian occupiers are removing Ukrainian-language fiction and special literature, periodicals, and even the children's comic "The Adventures of Mykytka" from libraries .

This was announced by the head of Luhansk OVA, Serhii Gaidai .

According to him, the comic was released by the regional administration back in 2018.

"On the pages of the graphic story, the story of the little boy Mykytka, who is a witness to the terrible events of Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine, is depicted. The main character, whose parents were kidnapped and held in custody by militants, was given shelter by our defenders.

In the location of the military personnel, the boy tells that his native village was heavily damaged during the enemy shelling. And soon Mykytka finds himself in the epicenter of hostilities, where he sees the brave struggle of our defenders on the terrain of his native Luhansk region, namely near Novotoshkivskyi and Krymskyi," said the head of the OVA.

He noted that it is not surprising that Russians consider a true children's story about their crimes a threat. That is why they gave instructions to remove such literature from book collections.

Gaidai added that over a hundred thousand copies of various "harmful publications" have already been seized from the enemy-occupied territories of Luhansk Region.

"Regarding the seizure of books, the occupying "prosecutors" even hold meetings with culture and education workers, at which women are threatened with harsh consequences for trying to keep "forbidden" literature in libraries," the head of the region said.

We will remind, earlier Ukrainian intelligence reported that Russia destroys "extremist" literature in the captured territories: everything that does not coincide with Kremlin propaganda.

In the temporarily occupied Mariupol , rioters burned down the library of the Church of St. Peter the Tomb of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.

‘This is Biden's last chance to stop Iran from getting the bomb' - Steinitz
[JPost] I'm thinking the Democrats don't care
"All the talk of bringing Israel and Saudi Arabia closer is very nice, but the Iran nuclear threat is the only real game in town now," former minister Yuval Steinitz argued.

US President Joe Biden should use his visit to the region this week to ensure that Iran knows there is a credible US military threat if it continues advancing its nuclear program, Likud MK Yuval Steinitz said on Sunday.

Steinitz, who as strategic affairs and intelligence minister coordinated Israel’s talks with the P5+1 (the five permanent UN Security Council members: China, France, Russia, the UK and the US, plus Germany) as they engaged in nuclear negotiations with Iran in 2013-2015, expressed concerns that Tehran advanced its nuclear program significantly farther than ever before in the past year because it no longer felt threatened by the US, and that Washington-backed air defense coordination between Israel and Gulf States is no replacement.

"The whole visit is only worthwhile if it gets one result: A US military threat to Iran," Steinitz said. "That is what we have been missing in the past year, which allowed Iran, for the first time, to race to the bomb."

Steinitz expressed concern about Biden’s opinion article in Saturday’s Washington Post, in which the president wrote: "My administration will continue to increase diplomatic and economic pressure until Iran is ready to return to compliance with the 2015 nuclear deal, as I remain prepared to do." It mentions "diplomatic and economic pressure," but not a military one, he pointed out.

Before Iran entered negotiations with world powers in 2013, it enriched uranium to 20% purity; while the agreement was in place in 2015-2018, it did not pass the 3.5% enrichment limit stipulated by the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.
Would the documents liberated from that Tehran warehouse support this contention?

Reporting on 10-Year-Old's Abortion Tale Without Committing Journalism
[REDSTATE] An child sacrifice abortion story "too good to verify" is surrounded by questions that the press will not dare to ask.

Most of the staff here at RedState are well familiar with the concept of stumbling over a story that is just so good that you need to hold back and pause a moment, lest you be caught up in a falsified quandary. I have become attuned that when something sounds great right from the start, if all the elements are a bit too pat and fit together too perfectly, that is the time to pump the brakes and look deeper into things.

This is a practice many in our current journalism landscape lack, by all appearances.

Currently, a story is making the media rounds, fueled by a speech from President Biden, concerning the plight of a 10-year-old girl who was pregnant and needed to travel to get an child sacrifice abortion in another state. Streiff covered the specifics on Friday. The pregnancy, as reported, took place in Ohio, but following the rollback of Roe vs. Wade, that state implemented its firm child sacrifice abortion standards, forcing a trip to Indiana for the procedure.

The story emanates from the Indianapolis Star and cites the child sacrifice abortion doctor from the area as giving these specifics about the child. The need for the travel was that the girl was said to have passed the 6-week child sacrifice abortion trigger date in Ohio. The story has been spread far, even hitting international sources, but there are many glaring issues with the story. One question almost all the news outlets have failed to ask — Is the story even true?

By Sunday, the story remains relatively unchanged, so all the specifics that are being shared come from that lone source, Dr. Caitlin Bernard, an Indianapolis obstetrician-gynecologist. As Megan Fox, from our sister site PJ Media, has covered, Dr. Bernard is a rather active proponent for child sacrifice abortions, with a lengthy resume of media appearances. In just the past month, Fox has compiled a number of media entries that involve the child sacrifice abortionist lobbying on behalf of the procedure’s legality.

Glenn Kessler, the fact-checker at the Washington Post, to his credit, has also checked into things and failed to find any more details on the story as well. Of course, this being Kessler, he has to hedge on things when it appears that there may be bad results reflecting on the country’s press corps.

Fighter jet blows off USS Truman during bad weather
[washingtonexaminer]A U.S. Navy fighter jet assigned to an aircraft carrier in the Mediterranean Sea blew off the deck on Friday during bad weather, the military branch announced on Sunday.

An F/A-18 Super Hornet went overboard on the USS Harry S. Truman during "unexpected heavy weather," the Navy said in a statement.

One sailor who received minor injuries during the bad weather is in stable condition and expected to make a full recovery, the Navy said, adding that all other personnel aboard have been accounted for. The aircraft carrier was conducting "replenishment-at-sea" at the time, which was safely terminated, the Navy said.

"USS Harry S. Truman and embarked aircraft remain full mission capable," the Navy said. The incident is under investigation, according to the Navy. It's unclear if the aircraft has been recovered or if recovery efforts are underway.

The F/A-18 Super Hornet was assigned to Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 1.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
Ukrainian Perspective: Invasion of Ukraine: July 10th, 2022
Direct Translation via Google Translate Edited.
[Korrespondent] 23:58 More than 16,000 Ukrainians who escaped from Russian filtration camps managed to return to Ukraine, Vereshchuk said on the air of the telethon:
Good.
“Many people remain in Estonia, Latvia, Germany, Poland. We cannot forbid people. 300 people who have already returned to the territory of Ukraine.

23:53 After the destruction of the ammunition depots in Kherson, Chernobaevka and Tavriysk by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the invaders began to transport them further beyond the Dnieper - to New Kakhovka and Oleshki, said the adviser to the head of the Kherson OVA Serhiy Khlan.

23:04 Residents of the Russian-controlled southern territories of Ukraine are asked to evacuate, Irina Vereshchuk said on the air of the telethon: “Our army is launching a counteroffensive. I don’t know what time frame it will be, but I know for sure that there should not be women and children there. should not become a human shield between the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the enemy."

In particular, the Deputy Prime Minister proposed to evacuate not only through the Crimea, but also through Vasilievka deep into Ukraine. "The density and intensity of shelling will increase," Vereshchuk warned and stressed that the enemy is interrupting power lines, cables, infrastructure, and the heating season is approaching, and the winter will be difficult.

22:59 The Pivden Operational Command confirmed the strike of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the command post of the Russian Guard near Kherson. The Ukrainian military destroyed four ammunition depots in different districts of the Kherson region, confirmed losses - 15 Russians and more than 60 pieces of equipment.

22:56 Zelensky commented on the “operational pause” of the Russians in the evening video message: “Last week, many people talked about the alleged “operational pause” in the actions of the invaders in the Donbas and in other parts of Ukraine. 34 Russian air raids in the past day is the answer to all those who came up with this "pause" ... The Ukrainian army is holding on, holding on tight and repulsing assaults in different directions. But, of course, a lot still needs to be done so that Russian losses become such that after which there will really be a pause. And the pause is not before new advances of the occupiers, but before their flight".

22:05 Zelensky ordered the military to de-occupy the coastal regions in the south, for this Ukraine is gathering millions of fighting forces, Reznikov told The Times: "Ukraine is gathering millions of fighting forces equipped with Western weapons to recapture its southern territory from Russia."

21:36 Russian troops are stuck and cannot advance in Belogorivka, Luhansk region, fighting continues there, said the head of the OVA Serhiy Gaidai on the air of the telethon. He stressed that the region has not yet passed completely under the control of the Russian Federation. According to Gaidai, this is due to the work of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to destroy enemy ammunition depots. He also said that the number of attacks and shelling has decreased, since the RF Armed Forces are almost powerless without their own artillery.

21:32 Reznikov said in an interview with The Wall Street Journal that HIMARS systems have changed the rules of the game, allowing Ukraine to attack Russian forces in Izyum, but more weapons capable of hitting long distances are needed to succeed on the battlefield. According to him, after a precise strike on the Russian air operations command center, the American side admitted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine "passed the test."

Reznikov stressed that the invaders use MLRS, which can strike at 120 km, so the Armed Forces of Ukraine need installations with a range of up to 150 km. Also needed are deliveries of armored vehicles, tanks and drones.

21:26 At Chasov Yar, Donetsk region, where 15 people were killed, four Iskander missiles were fired at, the headquarters of the Joint Forces said. Directly on a residential five-story building, two rockets hit.

21:18 The US Department of Defense officially announced that "On July 8, the United States pledged to provide Ukraine with four additional highly mobile artillery rocket systems (HIMARS) and ammunition."

20:59 In Veliky Burluk, Kharkiv region, Gauleiter Yevgeny Yunakov was blown up in a car near the local administration, said the speaker of the Odesa OVA Sergey Bratchuk. Details are being specified.

20:55 The Armed Forces of Ukraine hit the command post of the National Guard in Kherson - the information was confirmed by the speaker of the Odesa OVA Serhiy Bratchuk.

20:43 The Russians organized another provocation at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. According to Energoatom, the Russian military forced the plant management to allow the well-known Russian propagandist blogger, designer Artemy Lebedev with a representative of Rosatom to the block control panel of one of the power units and other rooms with limited access. There they plan to shoot a story about the allegedly successful work of the occupied ZNPP for the benefit of the Russian Federation. Ukrainian personnel of the station are also forced to participate in propaganda interviews.

20:17 Pushilin said that the Ukrainian military shelled the Shakhtyorsky district in the "DNR", where there were "volunteer activists", - three people died, 11 were injured.

19:59 In the Slavic direction, the invaders failed reconnaissance in battle near Mazanovka, suffered losses and were forced to retreat, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said in the evening report .

19:26 Blinken said that Russia's blockade of Ukrainian grain exports could contribute to the unrest in Sri Lanka. He once again called on the Russian Federation to unblock approximately 20 million tons of Ukrainian grain.

19:00 The Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine called on Canada to cancel the decision to return to Germany the turbines for the Nord Stream repaired by Siemens Canada. Ukrainian ministries have said they see the Canadian-German agreement as an adaptation of the sanctions regime to "Russia's whims," which would only reinforce its sense of its own impunity.

They call Moscow's demand for a turbine "blackmail without technical justification" because gas transportation can be continued with the existing equipment. "The transfer of the Nord Stream 1 turbine will allow Russia to continue to use energy as a tool of hybrid warfare against Europe," the statement said.

18:48 In the city of Chasov Yar, during the rescue operations, another living person was found and removed from the rubble, the State Emergency Service reported.

18:44 Ukraine for the "jump" must maintain capital investment at the level of 35% of GDP for at least five years, said Economy Minister Yulia Sviridenko. According to her, in money it is 70-80 billion dollars annually. The Ministry of Economy proposes two solutions to achieve this: an increase in lending by Ukrainian banks based on state guarantees and state guarantees from the G7 countries and the EU for investments in Ukraine.

18:07 Germany has blocked a package of EU aid to Ukraine in the amount of 9 billion euros. Berlin approved only the first tranche of 1 billion euros. According to the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, citing sources, Germany has been blocking aid for more than a month. Finance Minister Christian Lindner does not agree that Brussels is proposing to fund aid to Ukraine from the common European debt.

17:22 In Chasovoy Yar, 24 more people, including a nine-year-old child, may be under the rubble, the Donetsk OVA reported. As of 16:00, 15 people were killed, five were rescued. Rescuers dismantled about 99 tons of the destroyed structure of the building, work continues.

17:19 Zelensky signed a law exempting combatants from paying military dues.

17:16 Russia is recruiting convicts for the war in Ukraine, it is planned to attract up to 10 thousand "volunteers". According to Ukrainian military intelligence, recruitment takes place at the training base for PMC Wagner militants. The article under which a person was convicted is unimportant - even if it is murder or other serious crimes. Everyone is promised a full amnesty after six months of "service".

16:45 In Mariupol, the invaders resumed the exhumation in the courtyards of high-rise buildings, it is being carried out by the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation. The corpses are dug up, placed in plastic bags and taken to Stary Krym, where they are dumped in bulk into a mass grave, said Petr Andryushchenko, an adviser to the mayor. At this time, investigators or servicemen are interrogating residents about the details of the death, forcing them to "admit" that they were allegedly killed by the Ukrainian army.

16:33 Biden is going to travel to the Middle East next week to find Soviet weapons for Ukraine, writes The New York Times. In particular, he wants to visit a number of countries that used to be "clients of the USSR." The American president will try to persuade the countries of the Middle East to transfer Soviet-style weapons to Ukraine.

15:14 The Russians have seized the Askania-Nova Livestock Institute, said Sergey Bratchuk, speaker of the Odesa OVA. According to him, the Russian tricolor was hung on the main building of the institute and their director was appointed - Valery Topikha, who previously worked at the Kherson customs. Former employees are invited to work, security guards, drivers and some scientists agreed to cooperate.

14:52 This morning, the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked the military unit of the invaders on Pestel Street in Kherson. Eyewitnesses report that the cries of Russians are heard under the rubble, said the adviser to the head of the Kherson Regional State Administration Sergey Khlan. "When you try to get closer to the sixth gymnasium and find out something, the occupiers shoot into the air. They begin to panic," he added.

14:26 The Russians are massively disabling military equipment in order not to go to Ukraine, according to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense. Thus, the servicemen of the 103rd motorized rifle regiment, which is part of the 150th motorized rifle division, only within a week dismantled and disabled 17 BTR-82A and nine K1Sh1 command and staff vehicles, which were already ready for loading onto railway platforms.

14:11 The Development Bank of the Council of Europe (BRSE) has decided on special conditions for Ukraine to acquire membership in this financial institution as soon as possible, and also allocated funds to support Ukrainian refugees in Germany and Lithuania, said the Minister for the Development of Communities and Territories Oleksiy Chernyshev.

13:53 In Belarus over the past two days, unusual activity of military cargo aircraft from Russia has been noticed, writes Belaruski Gayun. Last night, A-50 AWACS flew to Belarus (it is these aircraft that give points for strikes to fighter pilots) and two Il-76s of the Russian Aerospace Forces. Today, three more Il-76 VKS of the Russian Federation flew to Belarus in the morning (two of them were repeated). In addition, in Belarus there is an increase in air training at five airfields at once. It is reported that pilots from the Russian Federation arrived and landing training began.

13:42 In the Kiev region, an increase in the number of saboteurs who arrived from the Belarusian direction is recorded, countermeasures have been strengthened, said Deputy Minister for Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons Georgy Tuka: "We are talking directly about foreigners - Russians and Belarusians - who are professional saboteurs, and not just some traitors. The special services already have effective detentions of members of these DRGs."

13:34 Russian students are distributed to the occupied territories - young teachers from Tomsk, doctors from Stavropol, builders from Volgograd are sent to the Donbass, according to the channel We can explain . So, recently a cooperation agreement was signed between the Tomsk and Lugansk Pedagogical Universities - they agreed to exchange personnel "to study work experience." Medical graduates from Stavropol are also going to be sent to the "LPR". Adult doctors and teachers do not want to go there even for a lot of money.

13:10 As of 13:00, the bodies of 15 dead were found in the Clock Yar, five people were rescued from the rubble. Three more remain under the rubble, measures are being taken to rescue them, the State Emergency Service said.

12:10 Two Ukrainian soldiers from the Azov regiment in the "DPR" were "sentenced" to death, according to Russian military commander Dmitry Steshin. According to him, Konstantin Nikitenko (Fox), as well as another Azov resident with the call sign Frost, will be executed.

11:43 The Czech Republic assumed the presidency of the EU Council and expressed its political and military support to Ukraine. Prime Minister Petr Fiala said that the Czech Presidency of the EU Council will protect and support the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, using all available tools.

11:36 France will prepare to cut off Russian gas supplies. According to the Minister of Finance of the country Bruno Le Maire, such a scenario is the most probable today.

11:29 Yesterday, after 13:00, a large convoy of vehicles with a V mark and five cars with the military, which had entered Mariupol the day before, set off towards Berdyansk. Also, part of the military equipment from the storage sites in Mariupol has been added to the column. The occupiers continue to withdraw equipment from Mariupol towards the front line, said Mayor's adviser Petr Andryushchenko.

Rashida Tlaib urges Biden to get names of IDF troops from Abu Akleh shooting
[JPost] This pug-faced Paleo Terror Tool needs a reality slap.
During his trip to Israel, US President Joe Biden should obtain the names of soldiers involved in the operation in which Al Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh was killed, US Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib said in a statement on Friday.

"During his upcoming meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid, President Biden must obtain the names of the soldiers responsible for killing Shireen, along with that of their commanding officer, so that these individuals can be fully prosecuted for their crimes by the Department of Justice," Tlaib wrote.

Abu Akleh's death was likely a "targeted assassination," said Tlaib, citing a probe by the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, and open-source intelligence investigations by news outlets such as CNN and The Washington Post.

Tlaib said that the US State Department and FBI must open a criminal investigation of Abu Akleh since she was an American citizen.

The IDF has said that it will not open have military police open a criminal investigation into the incident with the information currently available

"When an American citizen is murdered abroad, it is typically standard procedure for the US to open a criminal investigation," she wrote. "But in this case, the State Department and the Biden Administration have yet to launch an independent US investigation."

Wisconsin Supreme Court Rules Public Absentee Drop Boxes Illegal
[GatewayPundit] The Wisconsin Supreme Court
...the political football known as The Highest Court in the Land, home of penumbrae and emanations...
today ruled that absentee drop boxes are illegal in the state.

The court ruled 4-3 that the drop boxes can only be placed INSIDE election offices.

This is horrible news for Democrats.

The recent documentary "2000 Mules" revealed how Democrats used the ballot drop boxes in severarl states in an organized national ballot trafficking scam.

The movie revealed that hundreds of thousands of votes were stolen in 2020 using the ballot drop boxes.

The AP reported:

Wisconsin’s conservative-controlled Supreme Court ruled Friday that absentee ballot drop boxes may be placed only in election offices, dealing critical defeats to Democrats in the battleground state.

The court did not address the question of whether anyone other than the voter can return his or her own ballot by mail. Election officials and others had argued that drop boxes are a secure and convenient way for voters to return ballots.

The decision sets absentee ballot rules for the Aug. 9 primary and the fall election; Republican U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson and Democratic Gov. Tony Evers are seeking reelection in key races.

The court’s 4-3 ruling also has critical implications in the 2024 presidential race, in which Wisconsin will again be among a handful of battleground states. President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. Sleazy Dem machine politician, paterfamilias of the Biden Crime Family, the guy who bungled Afghanistan...
defeated Donald Trump
...Oh, noze! Not him!...
in 2020 by just under 21,000 votes, four years after Trump narrowly won the state by a similar margin.

in readiness for launching missile strikes against targets on the territory of Ukraine, the enemy is holding two carriers of high-precision weapons in the sea.
The report notes that the Russian occupiers, in order to somehow justify their destruction of civilian facilities on the territory of Ukraine, continue to lie about the alleged location of military units in schools, hospitals and apartment buildings

"We urge you to trust information only from trusted sources and not to spread Russian fakes and disinformation," the General Staff once again summed up.

Iraq
Iraqi counter-terrorism conducted over 150 operations against ISIS in 2022
[Rudaw] Iraq’s counter-terrorism service (CTS) has conducted over 150 operations against the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(ISIS) since the start of the year, said the spokesperson for the CTS on Sunday, stressing that "preemptive operations" continues in areas suspected of sheltering remnants of the krazed killer group.

"The service has conducted over 154 operations outside the cities," Sabah al-Numan spokesperson for the Iraqi CTS told state media on Sunday, adding that "all city centers and suburbs are safe from ISIS terrorism."

On the fifth anniversary of the liberation of djinn-infested Mosul
... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn...
, Numan lauded the "prominent" role of the CTS in the operations that led to regaining the city from ISIS rule, stating that all the areas that have been liberated now enjoy security and stability, and that operations will continue to target areas where the bully boyz are believed to be hiding.

ISIS seized control of swathes of Iraqi land in 2014, including Mosul, Iraq's second-largest city and the capital of Nineveh province, where the group declared its so-called caliphate. The group was declared territorially defeated in 2017 but it continues to carry out bombings, hit-and-run attacks, and abductions across several provinces.

In its propaganda magazine on Thursday, ISIS claimed to have conducted 13 attacks in Iraq from June 30 to July 6, killing and injuring 28 people.

The Iraqi CTS and the Kurdistan Region's counter-terrorism units have cooperated on more than 10 operations since the start of 2022, resulting in the arrest of at least 21 "high-profile" terrorists, Numan told Rudaw’s Rozhan Abubakir in June.

Liberal Democratic Party proposes to replace the word president with the word ruler
Direct Translation via Google Translate Edited.

I guess Zhirinovsky is over his heart attack. Only one other individual in Russia's most recent history held the title "Ruler of Russia" and that was Russian civil war era Admiral Oleksandr Kolchak.

[REGNUM] The LDPR proposed to abandon the term "president" in relation to the head of state and replace it with "ruler".

"The Party supported the adoption of the Basic Law, because in those stormy years, the continuation of lawlessness was more dangerous than the adoption of a far from perfect Constitution. However, this does not mean that today we cannot fix it," the LDPR press service noted.

Amendments to the Constitution fixed the word "president" in relation to the head of state.

As REGNUM reported earlier , LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky proposed to abandon the word "president."

The State Duma adopted a law prohibiting the names of governors as presidents of subjects of the Russian Federation.

Ex-president of Poland proposed to reduce Russia to 50 million inhabitants
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

And in one moment Walesa manages to bolster Russian Federation president Vladimir Putin's casus belli.

According to the CIA World Factbook, Russia’s current population is estimated at 142,021,981.
[REGNUM] The population of Russia must be reduced to 50 million people. This was stated by the former President of Poland Lech Walesa , writes Le Figaro.
Give it time — with their birth and death rates, they’ll get there without any outside help, entirely too soon.
He stated that it was necessary to "force a change in the political system" and "organize an uprising of the peoples of Russia."

“It is necessary either to change the political system of Russia, or to return it to a population of less than 50 million people,” he stressed.

He believes that global security can be ensured by the dismemberment of today's Russia.

Russia Reconquista
[AT] In Russian historiography, probably since the time of the historian Nikolai Karamzin, there is the term "gathering of the Russian land" or "gathering of the Russian lands. In the 19th century, this term was used to describe the process of reintegration, including through conquest, of the fragmented Russian principalities around different political centers that began in the 14th century.

On June 9, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin praised the policies of Russian Emperor Peter the Great, who was engaged in "the return of the Russian lands." After Putin came to power, the tendency has crystallized to consider the Russian Federation the heir to two states: the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union. This perspective led to the legitimization of the "gathering of lands."

The lands held by the two predecessors of the Russian Federation include Central Asia, the Caucasus, the Baltics, Finland, Poland, Alaska, Ukraine, and Belorussia

Fifth Column
Former Federal 'Informant' Warned Of Antifa, BLM Infiltrators At Capitol On Jan. 6
[ZeroHedge] The man whose posting on social media warned authorities that agent provocateurs from Antifa and Black Lives Matter would be at the U.S. Capitol dressed as Trump supporters on Jan. 6, 2021, is a self-described government informant tied to former deputy attorney general Rod Rosenstein.

Rosenstein warned about a "soft coup" against then-President Donald Trump in fall 2020.

On Jan. 4, 2021, an account under the name @JohnHereToHelp posted on Twitter that Antifa and BLM agitators were being bussed from Baltimore to Washington to cause trouble at the Capitol on the day of Trump’s speech at the Ellipse.

"Pantifa/BLM, Balt./DC branches, are already bussing people in to disturb Jan. 6," the post read. "Orders [were] given to dress like ’MAGA,’ blend in [and] cause trouble, especially around cameras. At night, arson has been ordered. All to be blamed on Trump supporters attending. Please be careful."

The post caught the attention of an assistant commander in the Intelligence and Counterterrorism Branch of the United States Park Police, who forwarded it to officials at the U.S. Capitol Police, the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department, the Department of Homeland Security, and other agencies.

The now-suspended Twitter account belonged to Ryan Dark White, also known as Jon McGreevey.
What’s his legal name? Is it the same name he was born with?
McGreevey has described himself in court papers and interviews as a former Department of Justice informant who supplied information on corruption in the federal government, law enforcement, and the Trump administration.

He once used the name Ryan White as a cover but now identifies as McGreevey. He is running for federal office in Maryland.

JohnHereToHelp’s original post was shared more than 6,000 times before it hit the radar of the Park Police.

At the time, McGreevey had more than 120,000 followers on Twitter, according to an archived version of his page stored at the Wayback Machine.

Twitter later suspended his account.

"There are multiple replies to this comment that says BLM/Antifa will wear MAGA hats backwards, wear camo, and attempt to blend in with MAGA crowd," the Park Police official wrote to his colleagues on January 5, 2021.

Jeffrey Fields sentenced in rapes of 4 Penn State students
[NYPOST] A Pennsylvania man described by a prosecutor as a “very sophisticated rapist,” and who was convicted in attacks on four Penn State students, was sentenced to 29 1/2 to 61 years in prison.

Jeffrey Fields, 38, of Port Matilda received the sentence in Centre County, Pa on Friday.

He pleaded guilty in March to all but two of the charges filed against him, including felony counts of rape and sexual assault. The attacks took place between 2010 and 2017 and he was arrested in 2020.

The victims were chosen at random and were either 19 or 20 years old, the Centre Daily reported.

One victim said in a statement to the judge that Fields had “changed my life completely. He changed who I am at my core.”

Fields spoke for nearly 20 minutes at the sentencing, calling his crimes “unspeakable.”

“I regret everything I’ve done. You did not deserve to go through this. I am so sorry,” he said, later adding “If I could go back in time and change everything, I would.”

The father of one victim said he lives in a “constant state of anger,” and no sentence would be tough enough.

“This man is the embodiment of evil,” he wrote. “May God forgive me, but I have no room in my heart for forgiveness or mercy. May he burn in hell.”

Biden's Descent Continues
[Powerline] The New York Post headline reads "Biden’s approval rating craters to 30% after brutal week." Reading the same poll, RedState’s Nick Arama comments perceptively on the numbers in "Prepare for the Biden Tantrum."

What more is to be said? The reported poll is one of registered voters. If it were filtered to reflect likely voters, I have to think the results would be slightly worse. On that point, we shall see.

I think that every time Biden makes a public appearance he loses ground. He is visibly infirm. He sounds stupid. How many times can he say "Not a joke" without someone giving him the hook. It’s a joke! If we set the over/under on his faculties, I would put it at 40 percent.

Biden’s themes are unpersuasive. "Putin’s price hike" and "We’re doing all we can" and "We have a plan" and "Happy days are here again" don’t cut it. Even the least among us know better.

The underlying theme that Biden and his spokesmen peddle endlessly is this: "It’s not my fault" (Biden) or "It’s not his fault" (his spokesmen). He refuses to take responsibility or change course. It’s unpresidential and deeply unimpressive.

It is also an irritating theme. We’re not buying it. Everything we see with our own eyes and hear with our own ears and remember from the recent past tells us that we are worse off than we were. We are headed in the wrong direction. It is too soon to rewrite history to support the Democratic narrative, as they always do. The time will come, but it hasn’t come yet.

Finally, Biden’s visible form aptly represents the weakness of his administration. Has there ever been a less impressive crew put in charge of the agencies of the executive branch? Perhaps Michael Barone could come up with one, but he’d have some work to do to persuade us. Again, in connection with Biden’s "not a joke" mantra, they are a joke.

And this doesn’t even get at the dissolution of our border and the covert redistribution of illegal aliens around the country. The border crisis remains a deep secret to everyone but viewers of FOX News. It means Biden might have room to go lower if word somehow gets out.

What kind of dictator rules by decree? Joe Biden
[NYPOST] President Joe Biden
...... 46th president of the U.S. Sleazy Dem machine politician, paterfamilias of the Biden Crime Family, the guy who bungled Afghanistan......
never promised to "make America constitutional again." Though he took office preaching the need for "unity," he increasingly rules like an elective dictator, relying on executive orders instead of working with Congress for legislative solutionsBut leftists supporters are furious that Biden has not seized far more power to inflict their values on the rest of America.

Biden yesterday issued an executive order calling for a report within 30 days "identifying potential actions" to safeguard women’s access to child sacrifice abortion. The order asks the Federal Trade Commission to "consider actions" to safeguard women’s privacy when they seek information on child sacrifice abortion. The order has a flurry of other provisions, including summoning activist muppet lawyers to prepare for court brawls, but many observers considered the order "vague."

Leftists are angry that Biden did not issue a decree making child sacrifice abortion legal based on . . . the majesty of the presidency, I guess.

Syrian man found killed in al-Hol camp
[Rudaw] The body of a Syrian man was found in the notorious al-Hol camp
...sometimes spelt Hawl camp, because transliteration is an art...
late Saturday, reported Syrian news outlets, believed to have been killed by the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(ISIS) sleeper cells inside the camp.
Very probably the bad killed by the worse.
The man’s throat was slit using a sharp object, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), adding that the body was found by the Kurdish Red Islamic Thingy in al-Hol’s third section, which only houses Syrian nationals.

A source from the camp told the local North Press Agency (NPA) that the man was a displaced Syrian citizen from Deir ez-Zor, without revealing his name.

At least 25 people have been killed in al-Hol since the start of 2022, ten of which have been of Syrian nationality, according to SOHR.

At least eight people were killed in al-Hol in June.

Saeed al-Jaiashi, strategic affairs advisor at the Iraqi National Security Advisory told Rudaw’s Halabja Sadoun on Monday that Iraq has repatriated over 610 families, numbering 2600 people, from al-Hol, adding that there are currently 8,000 Iraqi families remaining in the camp.
Update from NPA Syria at 1:00 p.m. EDT:
Hawl Camp, 45 km east of the city of Hasakah, is a house for 55.829 individuals, including 28.725 Iraqis, 18.850 Syrians and 8.254 of foreign nationalities, according to the latest statistics obtained by North Press.

The body was of a Syrian IDP from the city of Deir ez-Zor, the source added.

The camp witnesses murders with different methods, most notably firearms. The management of the camp fears that the latest Turkish threats of invading areas in northern Syria would pave the way for ISIS to reorganize its ranks; North Press cited a statement by the management as saying.

Since the start of Turkish threats, with a new military operation in northern Syria, and the escalation of these threats every period, ISIS sleeper cells have been highly active, especially in Hawl Camp.

Texas man Isaac Nformangum accused of threatening to kill Ted Cruz, other GOPers at large
[NYPOST] A man charged with threatening to kill Texas Senator Ted Cruz;
...US Senator from Texas. Republican contender for president in 2016, his stiff and abrasive manner earned him the title most hated man in the Senate. After a close win over Beto O'Rourke, who tried to out-Lastino him, he grew a beard and let his biting wit shine through. Cruz's comments have been known to leave life-threatening wounds at better than forty feet...
and other Republican congressmen is on the loose after failing to return to court.

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Isaac Nformangum,
...full name Isaac Ambe Nformangum, which is interesting...
22, who allegedly called Cruz’s office and threatened to kill the senator "be it by a bullet to the face or by the smashing of a brick in your skull," according to a transcript of the message released by the local District Attorney’s office, Fox News reported.

Nformangum, who accused Republicans of taking away his right to vote, was due in court Friday after being released on bond July 3. His current whereabouts are unknown.

"Hello and good afternoon Senator Rafael. This is one of the many Afro-American constituents of whom you are representative of here in Texas, as you currently serve from the Senate," Nformangum said in the phone call, according to the report.
Senator Rafael? That's Cruz's father's name.
"I have just read the, uh, Texas Republican Party’s platform for this current 2022 year, uh, wherein it is apparent that your many colleagues intend ... intend to have the voting right acts repealed and not reauthorized?"

-Great Cultural Revolution
Discussion of Holocaust Victim Anne Frank's 'White Privilege' Has Begun
[RedState] Just when you thought things in our society can’t get dumber, the woke left set their beers down and somehow manage to top themselves. OK, no one actually thought things couldn’t get dumber, but you get the idea.

Anne Frank, a victim of the Holocaust and whose diary has had a profound impact on millions of lives, is now being accused of having possessed "white privilege." Yes, a maiden of tender years who was killed in one of Hiter’s death camps was apparently part of the oppressive class because she had white skin and her dad owned a business.

This wasn’t just a fringe thing either. It actually trended on Twitter and caught the attention of TMZ.

The idea that Anne Frank was a recipient of "white privilege" is so insane as to seem like parody, but I can assure you that the left is full of people who think like this. In fact, you may recall "The View"s Whoopi Goldberg making the same argument some months ago, arguing that Hitler wasn’t racist because the Holocaust was "white people doing it to white people." She later tried to insinuate that the Holocaust wasn’t equivalent to historical racism against black people because Jews could hide behind the fact that they were white.
So could all the Blacks who passed as white in America over the centuries.
The toxicity of woke intersectionality truly knows no bounds. The idea of generic racial "privilege" has always been stupid. Aspects of privilege span all races and are highly dependent on each individual’s personal situation. Yes, the color of one’s skin could be a factor, but there are dozens of other factors that are rarely considered and are often far more important in modern society.

Returning to Anne Frank, she was a Jewish child who lived in a time when her people were seen as subhuman, and they were subject to extermination by evil men. How shallow and sad must one’s life be to try to claim she was "privileged" in order to make themselves seem like more of a victim? And in almost every case, those who stoop to such idiocy are themselves highly privileged, whether they want to admit it or not.

Antisemitism is alive and well in our society, and it should be shunned and mocked. Unfortunately, the woke left making victimhood into a currency is only exasperating exacerbating it.
...a common error, but unseemly in one making a living by writing.

Chicago's 4th of July weekend death toll surpassed the Highland Park shooting. 'I thought there would be more outcry,' mother says
[CNN] Angela Gregg’s 4-year-old son, Mychal Moultry Jr., known to loved ones as MJ, was killed by a stray bullet while getting his hair braided last year during Labor Day weekend in reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown
...home of Al Capone, the Chicago Black Sox, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel...
’s South Side neighborhood Woodlawn.

She remembers him as a genius who was set to skip ahead to kindergarten after just two weeks of pre-school. He was full of life and didn’t call her "Mom" or "Mommy" but "Happy."

Gregg recalls having to move mountains to get any public and media attention on his case. Like many people, she was horrified by what happened in Highland Park, Illinois, on Monday, but she couldn’t help but notice the difference in reaction to the tragedy that shattered her world. MJ was Gregg’s only child, and in the 10 months since his death, no one is in jug for the boy’s homicide and the investigation remains open.

But she was not surprised by the attention and support Highland Park received because it’s a predominantly White Chicago suburb, she says. Gun violence is so normalized in Chicago’s South and West sides, that it doesn’t receive the same concern, she says.

"I thought there would be more outcry for a 4-year-old whose life was taken away, and I just didn’t see that," Gregg says. "We see it all the time, the difference in how Black and Brown children are treated."
The difference in a Democrat-controlled city, anyway.

Attack on Libyan Parliament Headquarters to be Investigated
[LIBYAREVIEW] The Media Advisor to the Speaker of the Libyan Parliament, Fathi Al-Marimi, said that the House of Representatives (HoR) supports the peaceful protests. He added that the Parliament supported the peaceful demonstration, but it denounces and rejects sabotage.

Al-Marimi explained that the headquarters belongs to the Libyan people, not to the members of the HoR, nor to its President. He said that the burning of the Parliament and other headquarters cost millions to the Libyan state Treasury. The Parliament refuses to approach any other headquarters and sabotage them.

Al-Marimi noted that anyone has the right to demonstrate according to what is guaranteed to him by the constitutional declaration but in a peaceful manner. He pointed out that the social components in Cyrenaica or Libya, in general are one social fabric and they respect each other. The issue has nothing to do with social and tribal matters.

He added, “we are tribes that respect each other. We have relations, intermarriage and neighborhood and we are with each other. The investigations into the burning of the headquarters will come. Anyone named will be investigated.”

He noted that investigations are still ongoing, because the intelligence and security services arrest a person every day who has equipment, devices and tools stolen from the headquarters.

Soros Gets a Shock When He Tries to Buy Local Radio Station with Conservative Latina Behind the Mic
[WesternJournal] It’s safe to say that Democrats have noticed the recent exodus of large numbers of Hispanic voters from their party. Because they know that in a close election, a one- or two-point shift in the minority vote could sway the outcome of the race, panicked party leaders are looking for ways to stop the bleeding.

Master of the universe George Soros
...either Ernst Stavro Blofeld or Auric Goldfinger come true...
, who understands the significance of politics at the local level, has backed a group that plans to purchase 18 conservative Hispanic radio stations for $60 million later this year, according to Fox News. The deal is currently awaiting approval from the Federal Communication Commission.

Fox reported that Lakestar Finance, an investment company tied to Soros Fund Management has "partially funded" the Latino Media Network, a new network that is "controlled by staunch Democrat supporters including a former Obama staffer and Clinton campaign employee."

But it’s not going to be quite as easy as they’d likely anticipated. Among the stations included in the deal is Radio Mambi, an anti-communist station in Miami. Its star host, conservative Lourdes Ubieta, has walked out the door and there are signs that others will follow.
The previously announced $120,000 retention bonus is not enough to get her and others to compromise their principles, it seems.
Ubieta is moving to Americano Media, a SiriusXM radio network that offers a conservative perspective in Spanish.

Ubieta joined "Fox & Friends Weekend" on Saturday morning. Co-host Rachel Campos-Duffy asked her to explain the importance of Radio Mambi to the Hispanic community.

The feisty radio host replied, "Mambi is an iconic signal for the Cuban exile community and is the biggest fighter against communism in South Florida. Mambi represents the pain of the Cuban community, Venezuela
...a country in Central America that sits on an enormous pool of oil. Formerly the most prospereous country in the region, it became infested with Commies sniffing almost unlimited wealth. It turned out the wealth wasn't unlimited, the economy collapsed under the clownish Hugo Chavez, the murder rate exceeded places like Honduras and El Salvador. A significant proportion of the populace refugeed to Colombia and points south...
n community, Nicaraguan community, and we are their voice."

Campos-Duffy asked Ubieta about Soros’ motives. "What’s in it for him?"

Ubieta said "this is about control and about politics ... They’re trying to silence the conservatives’ voices, especially in Spanish."

They announced that they had 450 gigabytes of data and then began leaking some of the information onto 4Chan.

Among the things that they leaked onto the site that I was able to view were what appeared to be Hunter Biden’s passport and part of a visa card, various pictures of Hunter and Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. SOld, boring, a plagiarist, fond of hair sniffing and grabbing the protruding parts of women, and not whatcha call brilliant... or is that an act?...
, and phone numbers allegedly linked to multiple members of the Biden family, videos of a sexual nature, and alleged porn searches. On the iPad contacts and conversations, there was also an indication of conversations tagged with the name "Pedo Peter." It is not clear who Pedo Peter is referencing. There were a variety of conversations that were accessed that appeared to be conversations between various members of the Biden family. There were claims that they had other records such as tax and bank accounts linked to Joe Biden but I did not immediately see any links to those records. 4Chan users said they were still rooting through all the information and would be dropping more.

Users claimed that 4Chan began taking down the links as fast as the users were trying to archive them but a variety of things were still up and being spread.

It’s not clear what the provenance of this is and we have not been able to verify whether it is legitimate, although things like the pictures and the passport would seem to indicate that it’s real based on what we understand about Hunter. It’s not clear if it’s related to the infamous laptop which has been verified by a variety of outlets and upon which we have reported at great length, including Hunter’s time in a sensory deprivation tank and texts about how he feels about his stepmother. The Washington Examiner has reached out to the White House for a response but hasn’t gotten anything yet and given how they have avoided the laptop issue like the plague, they’re unlikely to give any response other than to attack the leak.

#8  Hunter has a checkered resume: energy consultant with no experience to foreign firms, financial expert with no experience, crackhead, bag man, pron star and possibly other areas, (ahem) of expertise. Basically, he was selling access. Feebs have been sitting on his laptop since Dec.2019. Part of yet another cover-up?

New York City Officials Failed to Remove Hundreds of Thousands of Potentially Ineligible Voters: Lawsuit
[NTD] New York authorities have failed to comply with federal requirements mandating jurisdictions regularly examine voter registrations and remove ineligible voters from voter rolls, according to a new lawsuit.

Just 22 names were removed between January 2016 and December 2021 in a city of over 5.5 million voters, including zero in Richmond County, according to data provided to the nonprofit Judicial Watch.

"These are ludicrously small numbers of removals given the sizable populations of these counties," the nonprofit says in its 48-page suit, calling it "inconceivable" that authorities were complying with requirements from the National Voter Registration Act and not removing more names.

The law requires states to "conduct a general program that makes a reasonable effort to remove the names of ineligible voters from the official lists of eligible voters" due to deaths or a change in residence.

During the same period of time, Yates County, which has a total population of under 25,000 and just 14,500 voters, removed 1,251 names from its rolls.

Other counties in New York, on average, removed about 9.4 percent of the names on their rolls through the law, according to data Judicial Watch received.
.
CONCERNS ABOUT DILUTED VOTES
"The almost complete failure of Kings, Queens, New York, Bronx, and Richmond Counties, over a period of at least six years, to remove voters who have changed residence without notifying their local jurisdiction means that there are untold numbers of New York City registrations belonging to those who are ineligible to vote at their listed address because they have changed residence or are otherwise ineligible to vote," Judicial Watch said.

"The existence of untold numbers of invalid registrations in Kings, Queens, New York, Bronx, and Richmond Counties belonging to registrants who have changed address or are otherwise ineligible to vote undermines the confidence of members of Judicial Watch who are lawfully registered voters in New York City in the integrity of the electoral process, instills in them the fear that their legitimate votes will be nullified or diluted by ineligible votes, and makes them less willing to participate in the democratic process by voting," it added.

The suit, filed in federal court in the borough of Brooklyn, asks the court to declare defendants in violation of the voter registration law and to order them to develop and implement a program to remove ineligible voters from their rolls.

It also requests a declaration that defendants violated the law by refusing access to some records.

Defendants include the New York State and New York City Board of Elections, along with election commissioners in counties that are part of the city.

The state board declined to comment. The city board did not respond to a request for comment.

Economy
Why red states are winning the post-COVID economy
[NYPOST] The numbers are in: Red states are winning the post-COVID economic realignment, reports the Wall Street Journal, and blue states are losing.

The overall share of US jobs in red states has jumped more than half a percentage point since February 2020. And red states as a group have not only won back all their pandemic job losses; they’ve added around 341,000 more — even as blue states still face an ugly deficit of 1.3 million jobs as of May.

To understand why, look no further than at New York, where Gov. Andrew Sonny Cuomo
...former Dem dynastic governor of Noo Yawk, the son and heir of the late Mario Cuoma and formerly married to a Kennedy. Acclaimed for his leadership during the COVID epidemic, he managed the nation's highest corpse count while successfully hiding the returns and writing a book praising himself. Among the nation's horniest politicians, he had about a dozen allegations of sexual harrassment and groping against him when he resigned...
and Mayor Comrade Bill de Blasio
...cryptocommie mayor of New York and for some reason a Dem candidate for president in 2020. Corrupt and incompetent, his qualifications for office seem to consist of being married to a black woman, with whom he honeymooned in Cuba. He has a preppy-looking son named Dante, whose Divine Comedy involved getting his back hair up when a police car drove past him slowly. New Yorkers voted for him, so they deserved him...
’s pandemic policies — commercial shutdowns, mask and vaccine mandates and school closures — made it impossible to live and work in the Empire State. The same could be seen in Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party,. Worse still, these policies continued long after data showed their utter ineffectiveness in stopping the spread of COVID.

And all this came on top of existing policies, like sky-high taxes and miles of red tape for businesses, that had been pushing people out for years.
Not to mention that under President Trump, residents of high tax states could no longer write off states taxes on their federal income tax returns, allowing them to feel the full pain of the thing.
Red states like Florida and Texas, meanwhile, followed the science and never went all-in on COVID restrictionism, keeping their economies and schools open as much as possible.

The result? Hundreds of thousands fled New York and California for greener pastures in Texas and Florida. the Socialist paradise of San Francisco
...where God struck dead Anton LaVey, home of the Sydney Ducks, ruled by Vigilance Committee from 1859 through 1867, reliably and volubly Democrat since 1964...
won the prize for with biggest loss among big cities: a whopping 6.3% population drop between July 2020 and July 2021. New York City was also among the biggest population shrinkers, with a 3.5% decline.

Yet red states saw big gains, with three of the fastest-growing cities over that period in Texas, another three in Florida and another three in Idaho.

That migration is now paying off big time for the winning areas, in terms of recouped jobs and general economic health. Florida, it should be noted, notched a record-high budget surplus thanks in part to the pandemic realignment. Texas, meanwhile, has been breaking records every month since January with its increases in nonfarm payrolls.

And, no, New York and California didn’t withstand the virus notably better than Texas and Florida; all four were near the middle of the pack among states, in terms of deaths per capita.

It’s clear the red states are driving our national job numbers back to where they were before the pandemic. Their sensible, science-based policies attracted companies and workers, without compromising public health. Just imagine where the nation would be if the blue states had followed suit.

#4  Re #3 ("experts aren't").

When I hear the word 'expert', I think of 'expertise,' that is, knowledge gained via experience. Such is not the case in many instances. Perhaps using 'scholar' instead of 'expert' would be more accurate.
