#3 We should discreetly let slip that we have been having "discussions" with some Nork "military commanders", on assurances that "things don't get out of hand", and to "avoid misunderstandings". I bet they would kill 50% of their leadership just on spec. Nothing quite so terrifies as diplomatic doublespeak.

#8 That's a flight every three or four hours. We'd be better off using a geosynchronous satellite except for the fact that, given the way the North Koreans are behaving, we will have no need for it in 5, 4, 3, 2...

China has a bunch of anti-China, anti-Communism democractic states to eliminate if she is achieve to her dreams of local and international, dare global,hegemony. Posters in assor Mil FORUMS believe that China's best oppor to conquer Taiwan is when the USA attacks IRAN andor SYRIA, espec IRAN. Pragmatically, TAIWAN is likely China's first target as USF's are concentrated in JAPAN GUAM, HAWAII and DIEGO GARCIA, while SOKOR and JAPAN's milfors. espec JAPAN's, is too modern and powerful to guarantee Chinese milpol victory without sufferring horrendous casualties!

#10 I also wouldn't doubt that Taiwan couldn't cobble together a nuke (or already has a few) to use against a mainland invasion. One nuke at the Three Gorges dam and China has MAJOR problems. The Taiwanese would probably prefer to be destroyed than gobbled up, and would respond to an attack in every way possible. That would NOT be good news for the PRC.
