#1 Well, that's enough for one bomb. If the EU and the U.N. apply themselves, Iran can probably have enough for 20 bombs in the next couple of years. After all, Iran is only facing "the threat of referral to the U.N. Security Council". Saddam clearly demonstrated that the U.N. Security Council is only good for resolutions -- and those resolutions are only good for toilet paper.

#2 Has a sternly worded letter already been dispatched? Or is the next step "I'm telling the Security Council on you!" ?

#4 I just gots this terrible fealing that the Russian light water reactor is camouflage and that somewhere the Mullahs are building a graphite moderated core like the original one at Hanford to get plutonium. A two track program makes sense. An enriched Uranium bomb can be produced quickly and with low technical risk. This gives the mullahs time to pursue more sophisticated Pu designs that require a longer lead time.

#6 What's all the fuss about? Surely the moolahs only plan to use the nukes for public energy. They wouldn't use it for developing a a-bomb, would they? heh

#10 Iran is building a 40MW heavy water reactor in Arak. They are also producing heavy water at the same site. The reactor should produce enough plutonium for 1-2 bombs per year. For comparision, the North Korean Yonbon reactor is 5MW.
