#5 Ok in shallow water (8-10 inches), but a bitc* to portage around rocks and falls. I tend to stick to dry land.

#7 MSR = Modern Sporting Rifle. Because it's not an "assault weapon." It's not a "machine gun," It's not even selective fire.

As for the "physicians" and politicians weighing in on how devastating a 5.56 round is, note that most deer hunting states consider 5.56 / .223 too small and weak to make a humane kill on a deer, and don't allow it's use for that purpose.
