#4 Kevin McCarthy said he fears that the Biden administration will "bumble into default." And that is my fear as well. I don't think any of them have any idea what they are doing and how serious the consequences would be.

This will continue until and if they cannot figure out a way to blame the Republicans. The only thing worse than the incompetence of this administration is its blind partisanship.

#6 ^ 99%+ of people couldn't explain the difference between the deficit and the National Debt with the answer on a printed page in front of them.

Politicians rely on that level of ignorance and indifference to fleece us all.

#7 Pubs should not raise the debt ceiling. Cut the budgets. I've a few suggestions where to cut; FBI/DOJ, Education, wasteful special prosecutor investigations, IRS, foreign aid/State Dept., ATF, Ukraine war, Energy, Homeland Security, CIA to begin with

#8 Any spending cuts will be eaten by rising interest on the debt. In a few months, payment on the debt has gone from $600 billion/year to $900 billion and rising.
