The Great Brawl of China
A friendly soccer match between Queens Park Rangers and the China Olympic team ended in chaos after a 50-man kung-fu brawl.

#1  Funny. I'm snickering at the fact that the Queen's rangers seemed to have kicked the crap out of the chinese.

#2  Isn't "Frendly Soccer Match" an Oxymoron?

#3  The reality is many clubs + fans under International Soccer do not want American clubs playing > Soccer will become one more thingy Superpower Amers will dominate andor control. IOW, by this logic Soccer is SSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHH for the Weak, not the Strong.

Air Pelosi
What Nancy Pelosi Has
What Nancy Pelosi Wants
What Nancy Pelosi Should Get

What She Deserves

A Boeing 757-200 in airline service carries 200 passengers plus cargo. The C-20 is a Gulfstream III, carries 12 passengers with a range of 4250 (B model) or 4850 (H model) miles. Washington DC to San Francisco is 2426 miles. Hardly a case for Pelosi rejecting the C-20 for lack of nonstop range.

#1  Also the GulfStream is faster than the 757
(576mph vs 530mph)

#2  Queen of the LLL Pelosi wants Air Force One. Drop her over San Francisco without a parachute and see if she can fly.

Last Minute Update: Aqueduct Bombs Not Meant for Sabotage, But For Fishing
Pipe bombs found in an aqueduct that supplies water to millions in Southern California were probably not intended for sabotage, but for fishing, state officials said Thursday. The bombs turned up along with cars and other debris when water levels were lowered for a routine cleanup.

The five small bombs found in a branch of the California Aqueduct were typical of those used to stun and collect fish, the state Department of Water Resources said in a statement. "Similar devices have been found previously when water levels in State Water Project facilities are drawn down for maintenance and other purposes," the statement read.

The bombs were found this week in a section of an aqueduct branch in the Mojave Desert about 100 miles east of Los Angeles. Two had already been exploded, and the others were detonated by the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.

#2  Oh c'mon, who here hasn't dynamited fish? Or is that strictly a midwestern thing these day?
Posted by: AzCat || 02/09/2007 12:14 Comments || Top||

#3  Real fishermen don't use anything bigger than a cherry bomb or M80.
Posted by: RWV || 02/09/2007 12:32 Comments || Top||

#4  I haven't dynamited fish, only ever murdered dear little earthworms.
Posted by: trailing wife || 02/09/2007 12:33 Comments || Top||

#5  Never thought to use dynamite for earthworms. Sure make the digging a lot easier. But picking up the little pieces would be more work Ima thinking.

#6  SteveS: Even more work would be putting all those itty bitty pieces on the hook......

#8  Yummy, my family called 'em flying fish.
Posted by: Shipman || 02/09/2007 18:36 Comments || Top||

#9  It's easier and not so dangerous to get one of those phnes with the crank, run a wire into the water, and crank the phone. The fish float to the surface and if n ot picked up eventually swim away. an It's noisless. So I've heard.
Posted by: Deacon Blues || 02/09/2007 19:58 Comments || Top||

#10  I've used one of those generators to get worms to surface, doubt it's powerful enough to stun fish.
Posted by: Redneck Jim || 02/09/2007 20:06 Comments || Top||

#11  Hush Deacon, let's keep that in the fambily.

#12  Giant Frog-leg(s) hunting I'm willing to tolerate, but FISHING??? As far as I know, eating [contaminated?] frog legs isn't popular in that part of Californey, unless someone just likes seeing legless frogs squimper about.
