Biden Signs Measure Ending COVID-19 National Emergency
[Epoch Times] President Joe Biden on April 10 signed a measure that ends the COVID-19 national emergency more than three years after it was enacted, the White House announced.

HJ Res 7 passed through the Senate on March 29 by a 68-23 margin, with 21 Democrats joining 47 Republicans to support the measure.

Four Republicans and five Democrats did not cast a vote—and 23 Democrats voted against the short resolution—which was introduced by Rep. Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.) last month and passed by the House 229 l-197 on Feb 1.
Interesting the large number of pols that wanted the emergency to continue, perhaps representing their constituents back home who are still wearing masks.

Bombshell Docs Show Biden White House Directly Coordinated With FBI to Set up Trump Raid
[PJMedia] New information is being uncovered regarding the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s unprecedented raid of President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home last year. According to America First Legal (AFL), a judicial watchdog, an investigation of the raid confirmed that the FBI gained access to NARA records through a “special access request” made by the Biden White House on behalf of the Department of Justice.

“On August 8, 2022, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) conducted an unprecedented raid of Mar-a-Lago on the ground that potentially classified records existed there. According to press reports, Biden Administration aides were “stunned” to hear of this development,” AFL begins in a press release. “However, new NARA records obtained through America First Legal’s investigation into the circumstances surrounding the Mar-a-Lago raid further confirmed that the FBI obtained access to these records through a ‘special access request’ from the Biden White House on behalf of the Department of Justice (DOJ).”

According to AFL, it appears that “the Biden White House and DOJ coordinated to obtain the Trump records and perhaps create a pretext for the law enforcement raid by way of the ‘special access request.'”

In addition to confirming that the White House was involved in setting up Trump, AFL also proves that the National Archives misled Congress about the role the White House played in the raid.

“This stunning revelation suggests that NARA was misleading Congress about the White House’s role in the shocking raid of President Trump’s home, and the fact that the Biden White House was acting “on behalf of” the DOJ raises significant legal concerns,” explains AFL. “The special access statute authorizes special access requests to an incumbent president only when the records in question are needed for ‘the conduct of current business’ of the White House. Providing documents to the DOJ for purposes of a criminal investigation is not the ‘current business’ of the White House.”

AFL is now urging the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) to disclose all records related to the Biden administration’s role in the politically motivated raid of former President Trump’s home.

“The evidence suggests that the ostensibly nonpartisan National Archives and Records Administration misled Congress about the Biden White House’s responsibility for the FBI’s raid of former President Trump’s home,” said Reed D. Rubinstein, Senior Counselor and Director of Oversight and Investigations.

House Judiciary Committee subpoenas FBI director over extremism investigations into Catholics
[Washington Examiner] The House Judiciary Committee subpoenaed FBI Director Christopher Wray over the agency's investigation into Catholic parishes in the United States.

Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) demanded that Wray testify regarding a Jan. 23 document from the Richmond Field Office. It was titled "Interest of Racially or Ethnically Motivated Violent Extremists in Radical-Traditionalist Catholic Ideology Almost Certainly Presents New Mitigation Opportunities."

The document outlined efforts from the FBI to investigate extremism among Catholics, categorizing them by theological beliefs and relying on research from the Southern Poverty Law Center. It included the notion that some kinds of Catholics were domestic terrorists, according to Jordan. It also revealed efforts to use undercover agents to infiltrate Catholic parishes.

"The Committee on the Judiciary is conducting oversight of the [FBI's] handling of domestic violent extremism investigations against Catholic Americans and its effect on protected First Amendment activity," Jordan wrote.

"Based on the limited information produced by the FBI to the Committee, we now know that the FBI relied on at least one undercover agent to produce its analysis, and that the FBI proposed that its agents engage in outreach to Catholic parishes to develop sources among the clergy and church leadership to inform on Americans practicing their faith. This shocking information reinforces our need for all responsive documents, and the Committee is issuing a subpoena to you to compel your full cooperation."

Following an earlier inquiry into the document, Christopher Dunham, acting assistant director of congressional affairs for the FBI, said in a March 23 response that the "Domain Perspective (report) did not meet the FBI's exacting standards and was withdrawn." He added, "Upon learning of the document, FBI Headquarters removed it from our internal system. The FBI also initiated a review — which is now ongoing."

Jordan described the response as "substandard and partial" because it contained a significant number of redactions. He demanded full access to the documents relating to the effort, characterizing those given so far as preventing "the Committee from fully assessing the content and context of the documents and obtaining information requested from the Bureau."

Jordan quoted a passage from the Richmond document as particularly concerning. It encouraged agents to engage congregants in Catholic parishes "to enlist their assistance to serve as suspicious activity tripwires."

Missouri AG Seeks to Remove Soros-Linked Prosecutor from Office, Citing 'Willful Neglect' of Cases
[BREITBART] A George Soros
...either Ernst Stavro Blofeld or Auric Goldfinger come true...
-linked St. Louis prosecutor has come under fire for her alleged mishandling of cases as Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey (R) has taken steps to remove her from office.

Bailey announced in a February blurb that he had filed a quo warranto suit to remove St. Luis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner from office, citing "years of willful neglect" for the cases she was responsible for prosecuting.

"As Attorney General, I want to protect the people of St. Louis, and that includes ensuring prosecutors protect the public," Bailey said in the blurb. "We gave Circuit Attorney Gardner the chance to do the right thing and resign, she has refused to do so, and my office filed a quo warranto at 12:01 PM to remove her from office immediately."

The petition related by Bailey alleges that "the circuit court has been forced to dismiss more than 2,700 cases, often because of [Gardner’s] inexplicable failure to provide defendants with discovery and a speedy trial" and that her "lack of diligence has forced her office to dismiss more than 9,000 cases — frequently on the cusp of trial — endlessly frustrating courts and victims desperate for justice."

It also specifically cites a February 18 incident in which Daniel Riley, who had been charged with first-degree robbery and armed criminal action in 2020, allegedly struck a teenage volleyball player while speeding, "severing one of her legs," "maiming the other," and ultimately resulting in the amputation of both limbs.

According to the petition, Riley had "earned 54 separate violations for failing to comply with the pre-trial bond conditions" while out on bond for the 2020 charges and allegedly earned an additional 50 violations after the charges were refiled in 2022.

"The Circuit Attorney never filed a motion to revoke Riley’s bond," the petition reads before describing the girl’s injuries as "the direct result of years of willful neglect from Circuit Attorney Kimberly M. Gardner."

Stacey Abrams Has a New Gig
[PJMEDIA] Everybody’s favorite pretend governor Stacey Abrams
...sour grapes lo-o-o-o-o-ser (Loser! Loser! Loser!) of the 2018 Georgia governor's race. Now she wants to be somebody's vice president so she can sour grape about that too...
(D-Two-Time Loser) has finally taken a new job after her disastrous loss to Gov. Brian Kemp (R-Ga.) in November.

Luckily for those of us in the Peach State, Stacey’s new gig isn’t in Georgia; it’s in Washington, D.C. And before you worry that the Biden administration has allowed Abrams to shape policy in any way, the wouldn’t-be governor has taken a position in academia as the first Ronald W. Walters Endowed Chair for Race
Healthy Living
and Black Politics at Howard University.

The university’s flowery statement — referring to "Stacey Abrams, Esq." — overdramatically describes what Abrams’ job entails.

In this role, Abrams will foster interdisciplinary collaborations across the University on critical issues of race and Black politics, especially those issues that affect Americans of the African diaspora. The chair will inspire research and encourage broad discussions of scholarship for real-world solutions to complex, seemingly insoluble societal problems that adversely affect African diasporic communities and other vulnerable populations. Finally, as the inaugural chair, Abrams will lead a vibrant Ronald W. Walters Speakers Series with invited guests on a range of topics representing diverse perspectives.

Howard University President Wayne A. I. Frederick has an inflated sense of what Abrams brings to the table.

"Stacey Abrams has proven herself an essential voice and eager participant in protecting American democracy — not just for certain populations, but for everyone with the fundamental right to make their voices heard," he said, presumably with a straight face. He also highlighted how students will benefit from "dialogue with a contemporary candidate whose work has directly influenced today’s political landscape." There’s no word on how Abrams’ experience losing two high-profile races will help the students at Howard.
