'Screaming and cursing' anti-Israel agitators descend on senator's home more than a dozen times
[FoxNews] Sen Ted Cruz's office says the Texas Republican remains committed to Israel no matter the 'harassment or intimidation' he faces at home.

Anti-Israel radicals have protested outside of Republican Sen. Ted Cruz’s Texas home more than a dozen times in recent weeks, with the agitators reportedly tied to the Students for Justice in Palestine group occupying college campuses nationwide, Fox News Digital exclusively learned.

Cruz’s home in Houston has been the target of 14 protests since February, including a protest on Friday when one suspect was arrested. Cruz’s office said that the senator remains resolute in his support of Israel, while brushing off the protesters' tactics of "harassment or intimidation."

"Senator Cruz will continue to stand with Israel and support Israel's right to defend itself and utterly eradicate Hamas. No amount of harassment or intimidation by terrorist supporters will change that," a spokesman for the senator said.

Student agitators have infiltrated college campuses nationwide in recent weeks, including radicals on Columbia University’s campus taking over the campus’ Hamilton Hall building, while schools such as UCLA, Harvard and Yale are working to clear student encampments where protesters demand their elite schools completely divest from Israel.

The protests are associated with groups tied to far-left organizations backed by dark money and liberal mega-donor George Soros, Fox News Digital previously reported. Namely, the National Students for Justice in Palestine (NSJP) has had a large presence amid the protests on Columbia University’s campus, as well as on the campuses of UCLA, Tufts and the University of Texas at Austin in Cruz’s home state.

The NSJP is a national group with at least 200 chapters across the U.S. and regularly compares Israel’s treatment of Palestinians to Nazi Germany and the Jim Crow era in the U.S. and accuses Israel of genocide, Influence Watch reported. NSJP's origins stretch back to 1993 on UC Berkeley's campus, according to NGO Monitor.

The national chapter celebrated Hamas' initial attack on Israel in October, describing it as an "historic win for the Palestinian resistance," The New York Times reported in October.

"This is what it means to Free Palestine: not just slogans and rallies, but armed confrontation with the oppressors," the group continued at the time.

The NSJP operates under a fiscal sponsor called Westchester Peace Action Committee Foundation, which previously received a six-figure donation from a nonprofit bankrolled by the Soros network, Fox News Digital previously reported.

The group and its affiliates have been banned or censured by universities for their support of Hamas, including Brandeis banning the group following calls "for violence against Jews," while Rutgers University suspended the group in December, as did Case Western in March.

The protesters outside of Cruz’s home in recent months are tied to Students for Justice in Palestine, law enforcement told the senator, Fox News Digital has learned.

The Houston Police Department confirmed to Fox News Digital that law enforcement have repeatedly responded to Cruz’s home over the protests this year but outlined that the police department can only publicly confirm there have been assemblies outside the residence, not identify specific groups the protesters are affiliated with.

One protester was arrested on Friday evening, according to law enforcement. Cruz posted on X that evening that protesters were clanging cowbells and yelling for two hours on his street. Fox News Digital reached out to the Harris County Constable's office for additional details on the arrest but did not immediately receive a reply.

"This is America in 2024, and this is a result of the sickness that has taken over our universities. This is a result of cultural Marxism that has infiltrated and seized control of the faculty and the administration."

"So, this is going on right now. It’s nearly 11 pm. Pro-Hamas protestors have been screaming and cursing for 2 hours. Banging cowbells & blowing whistles," Cruz posted on Friday.

"When a neighbor who has small kids asked an officer to do something, the protesters screamed that she was a "f---ing b----!"

Cruz has previously been the ire of liberal protesters working to stage demonstrations outside his house in Houston’s Royal Oaks neighborhood, including in 2021 when 60 to 70 climate activists gathered. This year, the protesters have assembled on a near-weekly basis, condemning Cruz for supporting Israel, Axios reported.

"The point is to show that he does have constituents that don't align with his very bigoted views. … We don't support him being AIPAC-funded and his allegiance to a foreign government," one regular protester told Axios Houston in March.
They would be the constituents who’ve failed to keep him from being elected and reelected to various things since 2008? Scarey.

Charlotte Shooter Had Been Charged 49 Times
[Newser] Killing of 4 officers was deadliest attack on US law enforcement since 2016

The man who killed four law enforcement officers and wounded four others in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Monday has been identified as Terry Clark Hughes Jr., a 39-year-old man with a long criminal history in the state. The Charlotte Observer reports that according to court records, Hughes had faced 49 criminal charges since 2001. His convictions include breaking and entering, reckless driving, eluding arrest, and illegally possessing a gun as a former felon. He spent time in prison in 2011 and 2013. Police say he opened fire on a US Marshals task force that was trying to serve a warrant for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Investigators said Tuesday that they are still working to determine the timeline of events and they are no longer sure there was a second shooter, the AP reports. They said an adult woman and a 17-year-old female who were in the home are cooperating and have not been charged. Earlier reports said the 17-year-old was a male

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Chief Johnny Jennings said Hughes, who was killed in the shootout, fired at officers from the second floor of the home, the New York Times reports. "Even though officers were trying to take cover, they were at a disadvantage because the suspect was up at a higher level and they were returning fire from a lower position," Jennings said. He said at least 12 officers returned fire. He said an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle and a 40-caliber handgun were found at the scene.

'Woke' Air Force Colonel Promotion Still Stalled – An Update
[LI] Air Force Colonel Ben Jonsson’s promotion to brigadier (one-star) general on hold after his racist screed attacking "white" Air Force officers

Last August, I reported on a U.S. Air Force colonel whose promotion to brigadier (one-star) general was being held up due to his support of "woke" military policies: Air Force Colonel, Selected for Promotion to Brigadier General, Pushes DEI, CRT, and Racist Dogma:

[F]rom the Daily Signal...comes a disturbing report about an Air Force Colonel who seems to believe it is his place to lecture his fellow colonels about how racist they are: Air Force Colonel in Line for Promotion Preaches DEI Agenda, Endorses CRT Book

In the weeks following George Floyd’s death in 2020, a U.S. Air Force officer...accused his fellow "white colonels" of being the "biggest barriers" to addressing "racial injustice" in the military and being "blind to institutional racism."

Col. Ben Jonsson’s 825-word commentary in the Air Force Times on July 1, 2020, recounts several examples of what he describes as "white defensiveness" in the aftermath of Floyd’s death. Jonsson concludes with an endorsement of critical race theory promoter Robin DiAngelo’s controversial book, "White Fragility: Why It’s So Hard for White People to Talk About Racism."

"Dear white colonel, it is time to give a damn. Aim High," Jonsson wrote.

After this thorough demonization of "white colonels," sure to engender fissures in an already race-imbued military culture, and his embrace of divisive, now-greatly discredited CRT-based propaganda, you would think he would be next in line to be invited to retire after 20+ years of mostly honorable service.

But you would be wrong, as President Biden has nominated Jonsson for promotion to Brigadier (One-Star) General.

Fortunately, and thank God, Senator Tommy Tuberville, R-Ala., used a Senate procedure requiring a roll-call vote, rather than "unanimous consent," to hold up Jonsson’s and many other officers’ promotions, thereby allowing further investigation into the military’s descent into CRT/DEI hell.

And, although Tuberville has since relented, and most of those officers’ promotions have now gone through, Johnsson’s is still on hold.

From military.com: Nomination of Air Force Officer at Center of GOP’s Fight Against ’Woke’ Military Extended to 2025:

An Air Force officer whose promotion to brigadier general has been stalled by a Republican senator fighting against diversity initiatives in the military has been granted another year to try to win Senate confirmation.

Col. Ben Jonsson’s nomination to become a one-star general was set to expire May 1 under a law that says military officer promotions that require Senate confirmation must be approved within 18 months after they are first nominated.

But the law also allows nominations to be extended for another 12 months, if the president chooses to do so. Jonsson was granted that extension, making the new deadline for his confirmation May 1, 2025, a Defense Department official told Military.com.

* * *

Sen. Eric Schmitt, R-Mo., has used a procedural tactic known as a hold to block Jonsson’s confirmation....When Tuberville ended his blanket hold on all senior military officer promotions in December, Schmitt announced he was placing a hold on a few officers as part of a fight to "eradicate" diversity, equity and inclusion programs he labeled "divisive." Schmitt has since dropped his hold on every officer but Jonsson.

Military.com then points out something that I referred to in my initial post on Jonsson – Tuberville’s, and now Schmitt’s, “hold” is not really a hold; it simply requires a roll-call vote for Jonsson, but democrat senators are too scared to put their names on anything supporting Jonsson, so they refuse to do so:

While Jonsson has now been given an extra year to win Senate confirmation before his career would effectively be ended, it’s unclear whether the extra time will help as Schmitt continues to keep his hold.

Please take the time to review Jonsson’s holier-than-thou screed against white officers who aren’t as enlightened, i.e., racist, as him.

Also, of note, as the Daily Signal reported, subordinates who served under Jonsson at MacDill Air Force Base were not impressed and said so in a DOD survey of those serving under Jonsson from 2020-2022:

“I trust [squadron and group] commanders, but not Col. Jonsson. He has bias in [equal opportunity] and [judge advocate] matters especially if someone is white,” one respondent stated. “He wants anyone white to feel ashamed.”

Survey respondents also said skin color was a factor in opportunities for promotion.

“Wing hiring practices are not based on [the] most qualified person, but focus solely on perception of diversity,” one comment states.

Another adds: “The core of promotion, advancement and opportunities must be performance based … period [but] that is not what we do at MacDill.”

The Pentagon’s climate assessment concludes with a recommendation addressing those concerns: “Review the Recognition program/promotions for fairness and equity to ensure it is rooted in merit and achievement (and not other factors like race/gender or personal favorites).”

#1  ...I have said for many, many years now that if you want to see change in the military...make ONE 06 hurt. That is the point (from my experience, at least, YMMV) that the true delusions of Godhood tend to set in and they start to think that their actions are infallible.

I guarantee that Colonel Jonsson is hurting. And I absolutely guarantee that every other 06 in the USAF is quietly taking note.

And it has occurred to me - if SEN Schmitt can hold onto this until there's a change in the Presidency, Colonel Jonsson might just decide to call it a day and retire with the honors he's earned.

And believe me, that would go a very long way towards resetting things.

Southeast Asia
Inside Indonesia's last-ditch $30billion bid to move 2MILLION people from sinking capital Jakarta
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] …1,200 miles away to new mega-city Nusantara surrounded by jungle tribes, with 6,000 to be relocated from October
  • Indonesia is ambitiously planning to move nearly 2mn people to a new city

  • The forest metropolis aims to open to civil servants this year, completed by 2045

Seen from above, the prospective new capital of Indonesia is little more than a network of track roads and concrete exoskeletons today.

But the southeast Asian country, home to more than 275 million people, hopes desperately for Nusantara to be ready to house its first 6,000 residents by October, with Jakarta slowly dissolving into the sea 1,200 miles away.

With 40 per cent of the capital already below sea level, some 10.6 million people in the inner city (and 30 million in the wider area) could face displacement - and urgently need a longer-term solution.

But conservationists and local tribes, settled in the region for generations, warn the project is already starting to disrupt the natural order, cutting off access to water and endangering life.

Construction on the $35bn project of Nusantara began only in 2022, but the Indonesian government hopes it will be ready to open its doors within a matter of months - with completion to coincide with the centenary of independence in 2045.

Photos from this year, coupled with stunning CGI projections, show how the plan is taking hold as some 200,000 workers rally to usher in a new era for the archipelago.

Fifth Column
Chaos at UCLA as 'horrific acts of violence' break out between pro-Palestinian and pro-Israel activists with 'all-out brawls' and fireworks hurled into crowds hours after cops cleared protesters from Columbia University in dramatic raid
Chaos ensued deep into the night on campus at UCLA as pro and anti-Israel protesters clashed in scenes of 'horrific acts of violence' that devolved into 'all-out brawls' which also saw a firework thrown into a crowd of people.

This mayhem mirrored scenes seen at college campuses across the country, including at Columbia University in New York City, where after activists ignored pleas to dismantle their camps, the police were forced to move in and arrest students.

The violence at UCLA began when a group of pro-Israel activists showed up on campus with the intention of removing the anti-Israel and pro Palestine camp, reports KTLA.

The channel said that the pro-Israel side threw a firework at the protesters and deployed 'what may have been bear spray.'

Local media broadcasts showed the protesters cowering, covering themselves with umbrellas from the spray. So far, at least one person was taken away by an ambulance for treatment.

At around 12:30am, after hours of confrontations and violence, Mayor Karen Bass confirmed that the LAPD had been called in. Reports from the UCLA student newspaper, the Daily Bruin, have revealed the cops are still present at the scene.

Helmeted riot police were pictured arriving on the UCLA campus in their protective gear as they tore down barriers and attempted to enter the pro-Palestinian encampment.

Pro-Palestinian demonstrators were then engulfed in tear gas as they tried to regroup and rebuild their barricade.

Around 100 pro-Israel counter-protesters attempted to seize the barricade and stormed the ongoing Palestine solidarity encampment in Dickson Plaza, reports the Daily Bruin.

It also shared in an Twitter/X update that: 'As police stand watching the demonstrations and skirmishes between protesters, more and more officers are filing behind them, some wearing has masks. A few officers are standing near Haines Hall.

The account added: 'Police on scene remain at a standstill watching a chaotic scene at Dickson Plaza. "Resistance is justified when Palestine is occupied!" shout protesters through a megaphone.

The newspaper reported that some counter demonstrators chanted 'USA, USA!' as they followed police to the encampment site.

The Los Angeles Police Department said on Twitter/X that it was responding at the university's request due to 'multiple acts of violence' within the large protest encampment.

In an email sent by the vice chancellor of strategic communications at the school, Mary Osako reportedly wrote: 'Horrific acts of violence occurred at the encampment tonight.

'The fire department and medical personnel are on the scene. We are sickened by this senseless violence and it must end'.

Following the hours of violence, a university professor and former police officer hit out at the 'inexplicable delay' in officers appearing on the the scene at UCLA.

What we have here has been an ongoing riot for hours,' Brian Levin, professor emeritus at California State University, and founder of the Centre for the Study of Hate and Extremism, told Sky News.

'It's gone on so long that a local columnist said 'even the helicopters had to refuel'. So there's been an inexplicable delay with regard to law enforcement getting onto the scene in any meaningful way.'

He added: 'There were probably a couple of hundred counter-protesters that lobbed fireworks, as well as apparently bear spray, at folks in the encampment on the pro-Palestinian side. Then both sides went after each other'.

Protests have also broken out at the University of Arizona, with reports stating a protester was hit in the head with a rubber bullet as police arrested four.

They also deployed 'non-lethal' chemical munitions within the university grounds in a bit to break up the violence.

A statement from the university read: 'University of Arizona President Robert C. Robbins has directed University officials and the University of Arizona Police Department, to immediately enforce campus use policies and all corresponding laws without further warning.

'The UAPD is supported by members of the Tucson Police Department, Pima County Sheriff’s Office and the state’s Department of Public Safety.

'The University will continue to act in the best interests of our students, faculty and staff to ensure their safety.'

The Oct. 7 attack on southern Israel by Hamas militants from Gaza, and the ensuing Israeli offensive on the Palestinian enclave, have unleashed the biggest outpouring of U.S. student activism since the anti-racism protests of 2020.

A the nearby University of Southern California, school president Carol Folt confirmed that a swastika was found drawn on campus on Tuesday.

'I condemn any anti-Semitic symbols or other forms of hate speech as deplorable. Clearly it was drawn there right now just to incite even more anger at a time that is so painful for our community,' she said in a brief statement.

The Chancellor at the University of California in Los Angeles said late Tuesday that law enforcement was engaged to investigate 'recent acts of violence' by a group of demonstrators and increased security in the area.

'We have seen instances of violence completely at odds with our values as an institution dedicated to respect and mutual understanding. In other cases, students on their way to class have been physically blocked from accessing parts of the campus,' Chancellor Gene Block.

Block also indicated that disciplinary processes cold be underway involving some students who are involved.

[Laura Ingraham at FOX] The New York City Police Department released a video showing a professional "protest consultant" who was seen on other social media videos instructing a mob of anti-Israel agitators as they took over Hamilton Hall at Columbia University overnight Monday.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams spoke about outside agitators during a press conference Tuesday evening.

"What should have been a peaceful protest, it has basically been co-opted by professional outside agitators. We were extremely cautious about releasing our intel information because our goal was to ensure the safety of the students, the faculty, and without destruction to property," Adams said. "We have sounded the alarm several times before about external actors who attempted to hijack this private protest."

Adams and members of his administration shared information about the outside actors who were creating "serious public safety issues" at the protests.

Not certain "co-opted" is the appropriate term of reference. Military advisor, more correctly stated. Someone should be shadowing this creature to locate and identify her handlers and funding sources. There is obviously a much larger cadre in play here.

Trump claims ‘paid agitators' part of Columbia pro-Palestine protests
[HILL] Former President Trump made unfounded claims Tuesday that pro-Palestine protests at Columbia University contained "paid agitators" as nationwide college campus protests escalate.

Hundreds of New York Police Department officers, many with batons and in riot gear, cleared Columbia University’s protest encampments on Tuesday evening, including arresting students who occupied a campus building.

Trump claimed in a Fox News interview with Sean Hannity during the police operation that many of the protesters did not believe in what they were protesting for.

"I really think you have a lot of paid agitators, professional agitators in here too, and I see it all over," he said. "You know, when you see signs and they’re all identical. That means they’re being paid by a source."

"You know, these aren’t hand-painted signs where people would go to their basement and paint something because they really believed that. These are all signs that are identical that made by the same printer," he continued. "And you know, when you see that that means there’s somebody at the top that’s paying, or a group that’s paying, and they’re doing a great disservice to the world, but they’re doing a great disservice to our country."

There is no evidence that any protester at Columbia University or any of the nationwide pro-Palestine protests are a paid demonstrator or otherwise not an authentic protester.

#5  Material aid to a designated terror group, e.g., Hamas, is a crime per section 2339 of Title 18 U.S.C.

"(1) Unlawful conduct.—
Whoever knowingly provides material support or resources to a foreign terrorist organization, or attempts or conspires to do so, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 20 years, or both, and, if the death of any person results, shall be imprisoned for any term of years or for life. To violate this paragraph, a person must have knowledge that the organization is a designated terrorist organization (as defined in subsection (g)(6)), that the organization has engaged or engages in terrorist activity (as defined in section 212(a)(3)(B) of the Immigration and Nationality Act), or that the organization has engaged or engages in terrorism (as defined in section 140(d)(2) of the Foreign Relations Authorization Act, Fiscal Years 1988 and 1989)."

Of course, to enforce this would require the US DOJ to actually, uh, enforce it.

-Short Attention Span Theater-
The psychological core of antisemitism
[American Thinker] Recently, I focused on normal adolescent rebellion and by extension abnormal adolescent rebellion and negative identity formation among American university students who embrace Hamas, death to Israel, and antisemitic violence toward their Jewish classmates.

My post drew some interesting pithy comments that furthered my thinking about the surge of violent antisemitism in American and foreign universities. Here are some of the key ideas related to a deeper understanding of the recently emerging form of antisemitism in America and the world.

1. ENVY. Envy of Israeli Jewish persons’ successful pursuit of excellent education. Envy of Israeli Jewish persons’ successful pursuit of wealth and business success. Envy of Jewish people’s religious and spiritual resilience and its impact on solid family and community ties.

2. RESENTMENT. Resentment of Israeli Jews’ successful democratic processes and leadership that genuinely seeks to continually improve the prosperity, freedom, culture, agriculture, research, and educational ethos of its citizens. This resentment turns to violent antisemitic envy when comparison is observed to the theocratic, self-serving, and power-promoting leadership of the PLO, Hamas, Hezb’allah, and the ultimate theocratic gods in Iran.

3. PROJECTION. When Hamas, Hezb’allah, and Iran trumpet hate toward the Great Satans in Israel , America, and the West, they are revealing the extreme of their massive psychological projection. In essence, the ultimate conflict in Gaza and the Mideast is the unresolvable conflict between un-reformed Islam, really Islamism, and democratic ideals of personal freedom and genuine democratic social-cultural pluralism. Islamist antisemitic hate is one of its more virulent forms.

American and Western diplomacy with its "two state solution" does not effectively recognize the above barriers, which Trump’s Abraham Accords had begun to break down.

5 arrested Monday p.m., claims of police violence as thousands in Tel Aviv demand deal with Hamas
[IsraelTimes] ’Rafah can wait — hostages cannot,’ write demonstrators, as opposition MK and relatives of hostage allege cops attacked them; police say protesters were violent, held illegal rally

Thousands protested in Tel Aviv on Monday night, calling on the government to make a deal with the Hamas
...the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,...
terror group for the release of hostages who have been held in the Gazoo
Islamic Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response. In October of 2023 Gazooks belonging to Hamas invaded Israel, killed over a thousand people, raped a bunch of women. Then they bitched and moaned about genocide when their butts handed to them in the entirely justified retaliation.
Strip since October 7, in a rally that later descended into festivities with police forces, arrests, and claims of violence toward a politician and relatives of a hostage.

Amid heightened preparations for the military to launch an offensive in the Gazook city of Rafah, demonstrators lit a bonfire on Tel Aviv’s Begin Road, near the IDF’s headquarters, and spelled out "Rafah can wait — they [the hostages] cannot" in large Hebrew letters.

Relatives of hostages and captives who were released in the week-long truce in November took part in the protest, calling on the government to stop the war in order to bring the abductees home.

The rally came as Hamas was set to give a response to an Israeli offer that would see a 40-day pause in fighting and the release of potentially thousands of Paleostinian security prisoners in exchange for 33 living hostages, and a second phase of a truce consisting of a "period of sustained calm" — Israel’s compromise response to a Hamas demand for permanent ceasefire.

Details of the proposal reported in the media have prompted far-right leaders within Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s coalition to threaten to bring down the government if the Rafah operation is called off and the war is ended. War cabinet minister Benny Gantz has said that if other ministers prevent a deal supported by the security establishment, he will leave the emergency government he joined days after October 7.

There were festivities between protesters and police forces later in the evening, with some demonstrators reportedly shouting that Ben Gvir, the minister in charge of the police, "is a terrorist."

The rally later reached the area of the ruling Likud party’s headquarters in Tel Aviv, where police used a water cannon to disperse the protest and arrested five people for disrupting public order.

Police said a firework was fired toward a cop, who was taken to the hospital to receive treatment.

Footage showed a police officer pushing Labor MK Naama Lazimi of the opposition, who was at the scene.

Reports said cops shoved Ilana Gritzewsky, Matan Zangauker’s partner who was kidnapped on October 7 and released in the November deal.

Einav Zangauker, Matan’s mother, told Ynet that cops had pushed her to the ground and that the police used excessive force and sent in "disproportionate" forces to disperse the crowd, in what she called "stepped-up violence."

Police blamed the protesters, saying "a small number of protesters started an illegal demonstration while disrupting order and violence toward cops," adding that some, "including a Knesset member," were stopped while trying to enter the Likud headquarters and scrawl graffiti writings.

Lazimi, the Labor MK, said the police statement was "a blatant lie" and that it "directly incites against families of hostages."

Earlier in the evening, relatives of hostages Keith Siegel and Omri Miran held a presser to call for an immediate agreement to return the hostages, days after Hamas issued a propaganda video featuring the pair. A few days earlier, Hamas also released a video of Hersh Goldberg-Polin, whose family did not take part in the presser.

"Europe has a long history of assisting refugees fleeing conflicts... countries around the world should offer a haven for Gaza residents who seek relocation" - Former Israeli Ambassador to the UN and current Knesset member Danny Danon

The former deputy director of Mossad, Ram Ben-Barak, added onto Danon’s statement by saying, "Countries can accomplish this by creating well-structured and internationally coordinated relocation programs.”

“The state of Israel will no longer be able to put up with the existence of an independent entity in Gaza,” he added.
Don't let them in here, force Arab countries to take them. The Ummah will provide. Or hell, Oceania. Do not under any circumstances allow even a single one here.
If we take them, they will believe that we played a part in them being evicted from their homeland.

And they will be right!

And that will lead to them wanting nothing more than to take revenge on the country that played a role in displacing them.

Don Lemon is afraid of white people ‐ except his husband
[BLAZE] Former CNN talking head Don Lemon told HBO’s Bill Maher that he feels uncomfortable in "white spaces" — which likely makes bedtime at his house a little awkward.

"I’m often the only person of color in the room," Lemon told Maher, who motioned to his panel and said, "There’s only three of us here."

"Bill Maher calls him out on it, but not the way I would have called him out," Jason Whitlock says. "Hey Don, how uncomfortable you in that bedroom, bro? In your house, you’re the only black person, only person of color in your bedroom, in your house, on your honeymoon."

Whitlock says this because Don Lemon’s husband is the face of the so-called patriarchy, a white man.

Four Florida Youths, Including High School Football Star, Killed in High-Speed Chase After Allegedly Stealing Car (PHOTOS)
[Gateway] Four Florida teens, including a high school football star, were killed in a high-speed chase earlier this month after allegedly stealing a vehicle.

WLBT reported Saturday that the April 20 pursuit started with a Honda CRV that was reported stolen out of Gainesville and ended in the Waldo area. A license plate reader had detected the alleged theft hours later.

A deputy followed the stolen vehicle while waiting for backup to arrive. Once backup officers arrived to help, they tried to pull the SUV over, but it slowed down and then sped off.

"We confirmed with the Gainesville Police Department that they still had that car entered as stolen, and the officer waited until he had three backup units with him before he initiated the traffic stop," Bradford County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Brad Smith said. "They did start to pull over on the shoulder of the road, but before they came to a complete stop, they accelerated again, and that is when the chase was on."

in Gaza, which the terror group claims has killed more than 34,000 Paleostinians there. The war began after Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, killing 1,200 people and taking some 250 others hostage.

The Houthis have launched repeated drone and missile strikes since November, forcing shippers to reroute cargo to longer and more expensive journeys around Southern Africa and stoking fears that the Israel-Hamas war could spread and destabilize the Middle East.

In March, the group’s leader said the group was expanding its attack area to prevent Israel-linked ships from passing through the Indian Ocean toward the Cape of Good Hope.

The Iran-affiliated group also targeted the Cyclades commercial vessel, as well as two US destroyers in the Red Sea, its front man said in a televised address early on Tuesday.

British maritime security firm Ambrey reported earlier that a Malta-flagged container ship on Monday said it was targeted by three missiles while en route from Djibouti to the Saudi city of Jeddah. The Houthis said the Cyclades was on that route when they attacked the vessel.

Ambrey assessed that the ship was targeted due to its listed operator’s ongoing trade with Israel, it said in an advisory note.

The United States and Britannia have carried out strikes against Houthi targets in retaliation for their attacks on vessels.

Top French university loses regional funding over pro-Palestinian, anti-Israel protests
Consequences.
[IsraelTimes] Country’s higher education minister criticizes decision, insisting there were no antisemitic remarks or violence at the Sciences Po demonstrations

The Gay Paree region authority sparked controversy Tuesday by temporarily suspending funding for Sciences Po, one of the country’s most prestigious universities, after it was rocked by tense pro-Paleostinian and anti-Israel demonstrations.

"I have decided to suspend all regional funding for Sciences Po until calm and security have been restored at the school," Valerie Pecresse, the right-wing head of the greater Gay Paree Ile-de-La Belle France region, said on social media on Monday.

She took aim at "a minority of radicalized people calling for antisemitic hatred" and accused hard-left politicians of seeking to exploit the tensions.

Regional support for the Gay Paree-based university includes 1 million euros ($1.07 million) earmarked for 2024, a member of Pecresse’s team told AFP.

On Tuesday, the university’s acting administrator, Jean Basseres, said he regretted the decision.

"The Ile-de-La Belle France region is an essential partner of Sciences Po, and I wish to maintain dialogue on the position expressed by Mrs. Pecresse," he told French daily Le Monde in an interview.

In an echo of tense demonstrations rocking many top United States universities, students at Sciences Po have staged a number of protests, with some students furious over the Israel-Hamas

Strip.

La Belle France is home to the world’s largest Jewish population after Israel and the US, as well as Europe’s biggest Moslem community.

University officials called in police to clear a protest last week. On Monday, police broke up a student protest demanding an end to Israel’s bombardment of Gaza at Sorbonne, another top French university.

French Higher Education Minister Sylvie Retailleau said on Tuesday the French government had no plans to suspend funding for Sciences Po.

Speaking to broadcaster La Belle France 2, she estimated the state’s funding for the university at 75 million euros ($80 million). She said there had been "no antisemitic remarks" and no violence had been committed during the demonstrations.

Both Basseres and Retailleau also said there were no plans to suspend Sciences Po’s collaboration with universities in Israel.

’COUNTER-TERRORISM METHODS’
Critics on the left denounced Pecresse’s announcement.

"It’s shameful and an absolute scandal," said Mathilde Panot, the head of hard-left La Belle France Unbowed (LFI) deputies in parliament, adding the behavior of the students was a "credit to the world and a credit to our country."

Panot and Rima Hassan, a Franco-Paleostinian activist who is running on the LFI list for European elections, were on Tuesday questioned in an investigation into suspected justification of "terrorism" over comments on the October 7 attack by Hamas on Israel.

Several hundred people staged a solidarity rally in support of the two women on Tuesday morning.

"In what democracy are counter-terrorism methods used against political activists, community activists and trade unionists?" Panot, 35, told her supporters, who chanted "Resistance®" and waved Paleostinian flags.

"I want to tell the pro-Israeli lobby organizations behind these complaints that they will not silence us," added 32-year-old Hassan.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Two reservists killed in central Gaza were mistakenly hit by IDF fire ‐ probe
[IsraelTimes] Investigation finds tank shelled building where other forces were gathered in Netzarim Corridor amid exchange of fire with Hamas operatives

An initial investigation by the Israel Defense Forces into the deaths of two reservists in the central Gazoo
Strip on Sunday found that the pair were killed by so-called friendly fire.

Master Sgt. (res.) Ido Aviv, 28, of the Yiftah Brigade’s 9232nd Battalion, and Master Sgt. (res.) Kalkidan Meharim, 37, of the Carmeli Brigade’s 223rd Battalion, were hit by shelling from a tank that had opened fire outside of its designated boundaries, according to the probe that was released Tuesday.

The investigation found that the incident began as an IDF tank was hit by a roadside kaboom near the Ottoman Turkish Hospital in central Gaza’s Netzarim Corridor. Shortly after the blast, mortars and anti-tank missiles were launched by Hamas
...the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®,...
operatives toward troops in the corridor area.

Amid an exchange of fire with the Hamas operatives, a tank of the Yiftah Brigade left an encampment and shelled a building in the area.

The building had been outside of the tank force’s designated boundaries, according to the probe, meaning the soldiers were not supposed to open fire toward that area.

Several troops, including the two reservists, were in the building when it was hit. Aviv and Meharim were declared dead, and two soldiers were maimed, including one seriously, according to the IDF.

The military said it was further investigating the conduct of the troops, who were deployed to central Gaza’s Netzarim Corridor less than a week ago.

The corridor, built around a 6.8-kilometer-long road south of Gaza City, enables the IDF to carry out raids in northern and central Gaza while allowing Israel to control access to the north for Paleostinians seeking to return after fleeing south. It also enables Israel to coordinate deliveries of humanitarian aid directly to northern Gaza.

Of the 263 Israeli soldiers killed in the Gaza Strip during Israel’s ground offensive against Hamas, which began in late October, at least 43 were killed by friendly fire and in other accidents, according to IDF data.

The IDF has assessed that myriad reasons have led to the deadly accidents, including communication issues between forces, and soldiers being exhausted and not paying attention to regulations.

Another 1,593 soldiers have been maimed in the ground operation — 322 seriously maimed, 526 moderately and 745 lightly, according to the IDF data.

The ground operation followed three weeks of aerial bombardments in the wake of the Hamas-led massacre on October 7, when more than 3,000 Paleostinian holy warriors stormed the border into southern Israel and killed some 1,200 people — mostly civilians — and kidnapped 253, amid many acts of brutality and sexual assault.

Israel declared war on Hamas in response, launching an offensive aimed at toppling the Gaza-ruling terror group and securing the release of the hostages.

The Hamas-run health ministry in Gaza has claimed that since the start of the war, more than 34,000 people have been killed, mostly civilians. These figures cannot be independently verified and, according to Israel, include at least 13,000 Hamas fighters. Another estimated 1,000 bad boyz were potted in Israel during the October 7 onslaught.

#2  Chilling link between pro-Palestine campus group behind Columbia protests and Hamas terrorists

MAIL - The group behind pro-Palestine student protests at Columbia received 'over $3 million a year' – and is linked to organizations accused of funding terrorist organization Hamas, a new think tank has revealed.

Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP), a campus group with more than 250 chapters across the country, is one of the main organizers of a protest that brought the Manhattan university to a standstill.

The new report by the think tank Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy (ISGAP), reveals the group got millions from several charities with alleged links to Hamas.

The 73-page report, exclusively obtained by DailyMail.com, also pointed out explicit pro-Hamas statements, chants and placards by protesters, and asserted that the demonstration has crossed the line from criticism of the Israeli government to bald-faced antisemitism.

The report also called for a law enforcement and government investigation into SJP.

Nicaragua lawsuit: ICJ will not order to halt German arms to Israel
[IsraelNationalNews] The International Court of Justice (ICJ) on Tuesday rejected a request by Nicaragua to issue Germany emergency orders to desist selling arms to Israel, by 15 votes to one, The Guardian reported.

The decision, according to the judgment read in court in The Hague, is largely based on a significant decrease in recent German arms sales to Israel, the largely defensive nature of arms recently sold, and the extensive internal German government processes to consider if arms would be used to prosecute war crimes or genocide.

Nicaragua last month filed a case at the ICJ that seeks an end to German military and other aid to Israel, based on claims that Berlin is "facilitating" acts of genocide.

The used electric car timebomb - older EVs could be hard to sell because batteries aren't guaranteed
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Money Mail can today reveal a timebomb looming in the second-hand market for electric vehicles (EVs).

Our investigation found that many EVs could become almost impossible to resell because of their limited battery life.

Experts said that the average EV battery guarantee lasts just eight years. After this time, the battery may lose power more quickly and so reduce mileage between charges.

Many EVs will lose up to 12 per cent of their charge capacity by six years. Some may lose even more.

Yet the cost of replacing an EV battery is astonishingly high, our research found.

In some cases, the cost of a replacement battery is as much as £40,000. For certain EVs, the cost of replacing the battery could be ten times the value of the vehicle itself on the second-hand market.

That means used EVs have a limited lifespan — which makes them a bigger and bigger risk as the years go by.

Research into EV batteries is yet to be conclusive and the second-hand EV market is new, given the first popular EVs were rolled off the production line in 2009.

Last night, one motoring expert said customers should be wary of buying a used electric car beyond its warranty (typically eight years), as after that timespan there is no easy way of measuring how much the battery will degrade before it needs replacing.

This may mean you end up needing to pay for an expensive new battery.

Government Corruption
Why the US military-industrial complex is unable to produce weapons
Direct Translaiton via Google Translate. Edited.
by Malek Dudakov

[REGNUM] The US Congress was outraged by the greed of its own military-industrial complex. Corruption scandals and allegations of misappropriation of funds constantly plague US military corporations. However, recently the situation has been aggravated by the acute technological crisis in which the American defense industry is mired.

If it continues to squander money in the old fashioned way, without giving any output, then the United States risks outright losing the new arms race to Russia and China.

At a meeting of the Armed Services Committee in Congress, rather boring hearings took place with the participation of US Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall . And then suddenly the unexpected happened - one of the legislators, Congressman from Florida Michael Waltz, pulled out a bag of bolts and bushings. And he asked the minister straight to his face: does he know how much it costs?

The Pentagon pays 90 thousand dollars for this very set of “certified” bolts for its fighter jets, and you can buy it online for a couple of tens of dollars. This results in a markup of 3,000 times, on which the military-industrial complex lobbyists and their contractors profit.

The puzzled Air Force Minister could only shrug his shoulders in confusion.

Waltz, who gave the minister a beating, served as a Green Beret for 20 years, visited Afghanistan several times and saw with his own eyes the corruption inside the US military machine.

The most telling example is the $80 billion worth of weapons left behind in Afghanistan. Why bother with transportation or repairs if you can simply order a new one and please your “friends” in the military-industrial complex.

Unscrupulous apparatchiks and lobbyists have always profited from military contracts in the United States. This happened from the very beginning of the military-industrial complex, during World War II and immediately after, during the era of Truman and Eisenhower.

However, during the Cold War, Washington had to be in a state of very tough competition with the socialist camp. Therefore, they tried to moderate the greed of military manufacturers by forcing them to work for results.

The situation changed dramatically after the collapse of the Soviet Union and the formation of a unipolar world under the auspices of the United States. There was no longer any need to compete with anyone - Russia was weakened by internal crises, China was not yet the current industrial giant. But the Europeans did not have the proper subjectivity and were dependent on the United States.

At that moment, the process of monopolization began in the American military-industrial complex. The Pentagon itself largely condoned it - there was an idea that large defense giants would be better able to fulfill military orders than mid-level companies.

As a result, the number of major military corporations in the United States decreased by about ten times. Moreover, they themselves became bound by joint contracts so that competition actually grew into cooperation.

Competition, the engine of progress, simply disappeared from the American military industry market. This immediately affected the quality of products, which went down sharply, and the cost of contracts, which began to go through the roof.

Moreover, there are contracts for literally everything. Let's say an oil pressure switch for NASA rockets costs $100 at retail, but they buy it for 10 thousand. They had to spend $120 million on valves for Apache helicopters, and a subsequent audit found that they should have cost 4-5 times less.

And this is still a relatively small investment. What can we say about serious equipment - the same F-22 or F-35 fighters, the maintenance of which cost several trillion dollars. As a result, the Pentagon had to purchase much less of them than previously planned.

Fighters turned out to be too expensive and constantly broke down: F-35s spend almost 60% of their time on the ground and under repair. This is straining the American military budget, which simply cannot keep up with all the spending.

Problems for the American military-industrial complex have been accumulating for years, but have become especially aggravated in the last four to five years. The deadline for delivery of almost all weapons is seriously increasing.

For example, it now takes an average of nine years to build one submarine in the United States instead of six.

The next generation of frigates will be launched with a lag of three to four years. Things are even worse with new aircraft carriers, which are completely behind schedule.

Lockheed Martin Corporation was able to assemble only half of the promised number of new F-35 fighters in 2023. Deliveries of the new upgraded F-15EX are also severely delayed.

At the same time, spending on all defense programs is growing rapidly. Take, for example, the replacement of old Minuteman III missiles with new Sentinels. Spending on new intercontinental missiles has already increased by 35% to $120 billion.

Now Congress is threatening to scrap the program altogether, leaving the United States with old Cold War-era missiles for decades to come.

This state of affairs is affected by a whole set of problems. US military corporations have become too large, clumsy and bureaucratic. They have nowhere to rush and there is no need to save money, because they understand perfectly well that the Pentagon has no choice: the contracts will have to be placed with them anyway.

Inefficiency at all levels of decision-making leads to long-term construction, inflated estimates and total sloppiness.

In recent years, new misfortunes have begun to emerge: there is an acute shortage of engineering personnel - many qualified workers quit during the pandemic, when production stopped.

Problems remain with logistics and supply of many categories of raw materials, especially rare earth metals from China. And each submarine or fighter requires tens and sometimes hundreds of kilograms of rare earths.

That is why the process of increasing arms production is going so hard in the United States. They almost doubled the production of shells to 30 thousand per month. But, for example, it was not possible to double the production of Javelins from 2 to 4 thousand per year during two years of conflict in Ukraine.

And to resume assembly of the Stingers, old retired engineers had to be brought back to work.

There are also big problems with the growth of missile production, including for air defense systems like Patriot. Now only 500 of them are produced per year - on the Ukrainian front this can be used up in a couple of weeks.

Meanwhile, China has already overtaken the United States in terms of naval size. China has launched 17 destroyers and frigates over the past two years. The US will need more than six years to do the same.

Russia and China already have hypersonic weapons in various forms. The latest hypersonic tests in the United States ended in failure, and the promised adoption of the first American hypersonic missiles by 2028 may not happen.

The current crisis within the American military-industrial complex has erupted at the most inopportune moment for Washington. The US military machine is mired in the Ukrainian conflict and the Middle East wars.

At the same time, there remains an urgent need to increase the production of weapons and at the same time compete with two opponents, Russia and China. The states have to literally be torn between all the challenges.

Their example shows that even with the world's largest defense budget, maintaining a military empire and presence around the world is becoming unaffordable.

And, most importantly, money alone cannot solve all problems, engineers from all over the world cannot be assembled, and technological chains with lost competencies cannot be set up.

There is no way out of the current crisis yet. There are calls to split the military monopoly giants into smaller companies, but at the expense of their lobbyists they will try to avoid this.

In the meantime, the number of problems is growing rapidly. And the moment quantity turns into quality, the position of the US military machine can become truly bad.

#1  The Pentagon is trapped by procurement rules and also by the requirements of precision technology.

If you bought bolts, bushings, screws, nuts, etc. on line you wouldn't really know if they were all precise enough to work.

In any event, the USA is now in the process of transitioning to a 'lots of smaller, unmanned, easy to hide' weapons and weapon platforms.

Also, in some ways it is fortunate that the USA can't build submarines fast enough because there is a shortage of trained sailors.

Fifth Column
UF taking firm stance on campus pro-Hamas protesters
[FOX35ORLANDO] The University of Florida is taking a firm stance on campus protesters amid ongoing demonstrations at schools across the country in support of the Paleostinians in the ongoing conflict with Israel.

"The University of Florida is not a daycare"
Campus police and the Florida Highway Patrol reported the arrest of nine individuals on Monday for failing to adhere to protest regulations.

UF, like many other colleges and universities, has been grappling with protests by students and faculty. However,
death is not the end. There remains the litigation over the estate...
recent measures have been implemented, with the campus administration announcing new rules and warnings that violators would be treated as trespassers.

"The University of Florida is not a daycare, and we do not treat protesters like children — they knew the rules, they broke the rules, and they’ll face the consequences," the university said in a statement.

"For many days, we have patiently told protesters — many of whom are outside agitators — that they were able to exercise their right to free speech and free assembly. And we also told them that clearly prohibited activities would result in a trespassing order from UPD (barring them from all university properties for three years) and an interim suspension from the university," the statement continued.
The Times of Israel adds more about other schools:
At some recent rallies, protesters have been met with counterprotesters accusing them of fomenting anti-Jewish hatred. The pro-Paleostinian side, including some Jewish activists opposed to the Israeli actions, say they are being unfairly branded as antisemitic for criticizing Israel’s government and expressing support for human rights
...which are usually open to widely divergent definitions...
In dealing with the protests, university officials have struggled to strike a balance between allowing freedom of expression and stamping out hate speech.

The issue has taken on political overtones in the run-up to the US presidential election in November, with Republicans accusing some university administrators of turning a blind eye to antisemitic rhetoric and harassment.

White House spokesperson John Kirby on Tuesday denounced non-peaceful forms of student protests, calling the occupation of campus buildings "the wrong approach."

"Hate speech and hate symbols have no place in this country," Kirby added. "A small percentage of students shouldn’t be able to disrupt the academic experience... for the rest of the student body."

BIDEN AGAINST ’INTIFADA’
Meanwhile,
...back at the shootout, Butch clutched at his other leg......
US President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. You're a lyin' dog-faced pony soldier...
condemned protesters’ use of the term "intifada" during the latest spate of demonstrations, the White House said.

For Israelis, the Arabic word "intifada," literally "uprising," conjures traumatic memories of mass waves of deadly terror attacks in 1987-1993 and again in the early 2000s.

Extremist protesters have regularly called for a renewed intifada against Israel and for "globalizing the intifada" in protests that have wreaked havoc across campuses in recent weeks.

Biden "condemns the use of the term ’intifada,’ as he has the other tragic and dangerous hate speech displayed in recent days," White House deputy press secretary Andrew Bates said in a statement. "President Biden respects the right to free expression, but protests must be peaceful and lawful."

"Forcibly taking over buildings is not peaceful — it is wrong. And hate speech and hate symbols have no place in America," Bates added.

Biden opposes last night’s takeover of a building at Columbia University by anti-Israel protesters, the White House said.

"The president believes that forcibly taking over a building on campus is absolutely the wrong approach. That is not an example of peaceful protest," National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby says during a press briefing.

The College Democrats
...every time you hear the phrase white people, white supremacy, white anything but paint, you're listening to a Democrat. Ask him/her/it to reimagine something for you; they do that a lot, though not well. They can hear a dog whistle a mile or two away. They invented the spoils system and Tammany Hall, and inspired the addition of the word (Thomas) Nasty to the English language. They want to stop continental drift and repeal the law of unintended side effects...
of America, the US Democratic Party’s student organization, released a statement in support of the protests, calling the actions of the protesters "heroic."

"There is nothing more American than the right to protest peacefully for what is right," the statement read, commending "the bravery of students across the country who have been willing to endure arrests, suspension and threats of expulsion to stand up for the rights and dignity of the Paleostinian people.

"Our position is clear:
Very clear, indeed. Jeremy Corbyn had nothing on you lot,
We stand with those protesting for peace and we find all calls for violence, such as those against Jewish and Moslem students, wrong," the statement said. "Those spreading hate have no place in the movement for peace."

ARRESTS IN CALIFORNIA, DEALS ELSEWHERE
Students at dozens of campuses from Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, to New England have set up similar tent encampments to demonstrate their anger over the Israeli operation in Gazoo
At Cal Poly Humboldt University, police early on Tuesday swarmed the campus, where students were occupying a school building, and starting detaining people, local media reported. Some 25 people were said arrested. Police on Monday had declared the protest an unlawful assembly and warned people they faced arrest if they did not disperse. According to The New York Times

...which still proudly displays Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize...

, protesters at Humboldt had taken over Siemens Hall and redubbed it "Intifada Hall," spraying graffiti inside and vandalizing the campus president’s office.

Civil rights groups have criticized law enforcement tactics on some campuses where police have clashed with protesters and have used chemical irritants.

Police detained about 30 protesters at their encampment at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill early on Tuesday, according to a university statement, noting that students had trespassed into classroom buildings overnight.

At the University of Texas at Austin, police arrested dozens of students whom they hit with pepper spray at a pro-Paleostinian rally on Monday.

Northwestern University reached an agreement with demonstrators that will see them take down their "Gaza solidarity encampment." The students agreed to take down all but one of the nearly 100 tents erected on the school quad since Thursday. In exchange, Northwestern agreed to take several steps to expand student engagement in the school’s financial investments.

Northwestern also agreed to fund the tuition of five Paleostinian undergraduates and hire two visiting Paleostinian faculty members in addition to providing a temporary space on campus for Middle Eastern and Moslem students until their existing house finishes renovation.

Jewish and pro-Israel groups slammed the agreement.

"Today, Northwestern University declared itself a safe space for antisemitism," the Israeli Consulate in reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown
...home of Al Capone, the Chicago Black Sox, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel...
tweets. "We are appalled by Northwestern’s decision to turn its back on Jewish and Israeli students who have been targets of hateful harassment and intimidation. This decision rewards the pro-terror, anti-Israel, and anti-America aggressors on campus."

Brown University in Rhode Island also reached a deal, with students removing their encampment from school grounds in exchange for the institution listening to their arguments for divesting from Israel. The move represented a first major concession from an elite American university.

In a statement, Brown President Christina Paxson said students had agreed to end their protests and clear their camp by 5 p.m. local time Tuesday and "refrain from further actions that would violate Brown’s conduct code through the end of the academic year."

In turn, "five students will be invited to meet with five members of the Corporation of Brown University in May to present their arguments to divest Brown’s endowment from ’companies enabling and profiting from the genocide in Gaza.'"

Meanwhile,
...back at the shootout, Butch clutched at his other leg......
The Washington Post reported that a Jewish student is suing Columbia University for failing to provide adequate protection for Jewish students. According to the report, the lawsuit claims Columbia allowed the protests to drive Jewish students off campus rather than take steps to ensure their safety. The decision by the faculty to offer remote learning for students who felt unsafe as a result of the protests created "two very different educational experiences for Jewish and non-Jewish students," the report cited the lawsuit as stating.
Separate but unequal. Eventually one university will proudly declare that its quota for Jews is 50% — like that one fabled university in imperial Russia, each Jewish student will have to bring his own non-Jew, and ensure that he manages to make it all the way to graduation.

In Colombia, nine soldiers die in a Mi-17 helicopter crash
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] Nine soldiers were killed in the crash of a Mi-17 helicopter belonging to the Colombian air assault division in the state of Bolivar. The Colombian army announced this on April 29 on the social network X.

“Today, with deep pain, we mourn the death of the crew of the Mi-17 EJC3395 and its passengers in a plane crash that occurred in the municipality of Arenal, in the south of Bolivar. A group of rescuers went to the scene of the incident,” the message clarifies.

On board the helicopter were three officers and six soldiers; they participated in supplying the airborne assault division of troops conducting an operation against the Gulf Clan drug cartel. The cartel is the largest in Colombia and is actively involved in the internal armed conflict that has been going on in the country for many years.

Colombian President Gustavo Petro expressed condolences over the death of the military personnel.

Hundreds of NYPD cops storm Columbia campus to clear out anti-Israel mob

[NY Post] Hickory shampoos, please?
Several hundred NYPD cops stormed onto Columbia University’s campus on Tuesday night to oust a pro-terror mob that illegally took over an academic building amid ongoing anti-Israel protests on campus.

The cops are expected to arrest the group that barged into Hamilton Hall early Tuesday morning in a drastic escalation of the protest at the Ivy League school, according to police sources.

Shortly before entering the Morningside Heights campus at 9:13 p.m., about 100 cops from the NYPD’s Emergency Service Unit packed into buses and headed to Columbia in preparation for the university’s call for help, sources told The Post.

Dozens of others wearing riot gear and holding zip-tie handcuffs were huddled on the street corner, apparently waiting for the go-ahead.

The NYPD blocked pedestrian and vehicular traffic on 114th Street and Broadway, while spectators chastised them: "Shame, shame, shame!"

Police moved in on the "protestors" late last evening via a window. The protestors were flex cuffed and hauled away (still wearing masks) in buses to an undisclosed location. By the time you read this the charges against them will likely have been dropped and they will have been released, identities unknown. Notice the absence of the NYC Mayor, NY Governor, and University President and officials.
The Times of Israel adds:
Police cleared 30 to 40 people from inside Columbia University’s Hamilton Hall overnight after protesters against Israel occupied the administration building in New York earlier in the day.

Hundreds of NYPD officers acted after the school’s president said there was no other way to ensure safety and restore order on campus and sought help from the department. The occupied building had expanded the demonstrators’ reach from an encampment elsewhere on the Ivy League school’s grounds.

The scene unfolded shortly after 9 p.m. as police, wearing helmets and carrying zip ties and riot shields, massed at the college’s entrance. Scores of officers climbed through a window to enter the occupied building, streaming in over a ramp raised from the top of a police vehicle to get inside. Multiple protesters were taken into custody and taken away from campus on buses.
That’s all very well, but will there be any real consequences?
The confrontation occurred more than 12 hours after the demonstrators took over Hamilton Hall shortly after midnight Tuesday, spreading their reach from an encampment elsewhere on the grounds that’s been there for nearly two weeks to protest the Israel-Hamas war. The police action happened on the 56th anniversary of a similar police action to quash an occupation of Hamilton Hall by students protesting racism and the Vietnam War.

“After the University learned overnight that Hamilton Hall had been occupied, vandalized, and blockaded, we were left with no choice,” the school says, adding that school public safety personnel were forced out of the building and one facilities worker was “threatened.”

Columbia Issues Warning to Students and Staff After Pro-Hamas Agitators Occupy Building, blocks press

[TOWNHALL] Pro-Hamas...always the voice of sweet reason...
demonstrators at Columbia took over an academic building early Tuesday to continue their "protests" over the war in Gazoo
University officials urged students and staff to keep away from campus as dozens of the anti-Israel activists occupied Hamilton Hall in defiance over the school beginning to suspend students who refused to leave an encampment set up on the quad last week.

Images on social media show students breaking windows, barricading themselves in the building, and holding banners that say "intifada." According to the school's student newspaper, a facilities worker said the pro-terrorist activists temporarily held him hostage when they gained access to the building.

Columbia blocks press from covering student Gaza protests, campus occupation

[THEPOSTMILLENNIAL] Following the destructive actions of pro-Paleostinian protestors Monday night, Columbia University has announced that it will be limiting access until further notice.

Effective immediately, only essential workers and those students living in residence are allowed to enter. Outsiders, and members of the media, will be turned away.

"Access to the Morningside campus has been limited to students residing in residential buildings on campus (Carman, Furnald, John Jay, Hartley, Wallach, East Campus and Wien) and employees who provide essential services to campus buildings, labs and residential student life," the university wrote in a statement, noting that the restrictions will remain in place "until circumstances allow otherwise."

"The only access point into and out of campus," the statement continued, "is the 116th Street and Amsterdam gate. All other campus entry points are closed. Security personnel will remain in place at the Wien Gate for individuals requiring disability access to Wien Hall and East Campus."

In an earlier post, the university stated that media access to campus had been suspended "as a safety measure."

Now that the students are doing what they've always done, but now Jews are the oppressors instead of whites, riot police are using violence and silencing their free speech. Bomb attack in northern Kenya kills 5 people near the border with Somalia
[AFRICANEWS] Five people have been killed in a kaboom in northern Kenya, the interior ministry said Monday.

The bomb, which went kaboom! in El Wak town in Mandera County, near the border with Somalia, maimed five other people. There was no immediate claim of responsibility, but Somalia-based al-Shabaab

gunnies affiliated with al-Qaeda have carried out other attacks in the area.

The bomb had been placed on a donkey cart to avoid detection, the interior ministry said.

Earlier this month, button men suspected to be al-Shabaab entered the El Wak hospital and injured guards while asking about the whereabouts of doctors. No arrests were made.

Al-Shabaab often carries out cross-border attacks, especially in the remote Kenyan counties of Mandera and Garissa.

The bad boy group has threatened Kenyan forces over their yearslong deployment to Somalia as part of multinational efforts to stabilize the Horn of Africa nation following more than three decades of conflict.

Macron urges Rwanda to 'halt support' for M23 rebels
[BBC] French President Emmanuel Macron has urged Rwanda to "halt its support" for the M23 rebels wreaking havoc in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo
...formerly the Congo Free State, Belgian Congo, Zaire, and who knows what else, not to be confused with the Brazzaville Congo aka Republic of Congo, which is much smaller and much more (for Africa) stable. DRC gave the world Patrice Lumumba and Joseph Mobutu, followed by years of tedious civil war. Its principle industry seems to be the production of corpses. With a population of about 74 million it has lots of raw material...
In a joint presser with DR Congo's President Felix Tshisekedi, who is on a visit to Gay Paree, Mr Macron said: "Rwanda must halt its support for M23 and withdraw its forces from Congolese territory."

The M23 first began operating in 2012 ostensibly to protect the Tutsi population in eastern DR Congo, which had long complained of persecution and discrimination.

The UN, EU and US have said that Rwanda, which is also led by Tutsis, is backing the M23. The government in Kigali has repeatedly denied this.

Last March, when asked to condemn Rwanda's reported support for the rebels, Mr Macron said he had been "very clear about the condemnation of the M23 and those who support it".

The retreat of the Ukrainian Armed Forces from Ocheretino caused a stormy reaction in Ukraine
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] The retreat of Ukrainian army fighters from positions in the village of Ocheretino in the DPR led to heated discussions in the republic. The German newspaper Berliner Zeitung reported this on April 28.

According to the publication, in recent days the Russian army was able to liberate Ocheretino in the DPR almost without resistance.

“Since the Ukrainian soldiers of the 115th Mechanized Brigade withdrew without much resistance, the incident caused a lot of discussion within Ukraine,” the publication wrote.

It is clarified that the Ukrainian military leadership does not comment on this incident, but is making attempts to find the culprit in what happened. According to the author of the article, everything suggests that the Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters who were responsible for the defense of the front sector left their positions “too early.”

As Regnum reported, on April 22, co-chairman of the coordinating council for the integration of new regions, head of the “We are together with Russia” movement, Vladimir Rogov, wrote that Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters fled from their positions in the village of Ocheretino. According to him, military personnel of the Russian Armed Forces immediately after this entered the village and raised state flags in its center.

Retired General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Sergei Krivonos said on April 29 that the liberation of Ocheretino by the Russian army would give it a significant advantage on the front line. He also stressed that he was furious about what happened.

Forbes columnist David Ax wrote on April 27 that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will lose positions in several settlements near Ocheretino. In his opinion, the most realistic outcome for Ukrainian troops in this situation would be a retreat to the west.

Britain
Britain's King Charles III, who was suffering from cancer, has returned to his duties.
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] King Charles III of Great Britain, who is suffering from cancer, returned to public duties on April 30 after undergoing treatment, Sky News reported.

According to journalists, the monarch and his wife, Queen Camilla, visited the Macmillan Cancer Center. There they met with patients and doctors.

“His Majesty’s treatment program will continue, but doctors are very pleased with the progress made, so the king can now resume a number of public duties,” the publication quoted a Buckingham Palace spokesman.

Charles III, when asked by journalists how he was feeling, said that it was much better. It is noted that this was his first appearance in public after doctors recommended that the king avoid public duties during treatment.

Buckingham Palace announced on February 6 that Charles III had been diagnosed with cancer, without specifying the location of the disease, but noting that it was not related to the prostate, with which he had recently had problems. The monarch put aside public duties, continuing to work with documents.

The Daily Mirror reported on February 28 that Charles III had begun preparations for handing over the crown to his heir. The publication noted that this process began shortly after the king was diagnosed with the disease.

In March, rumors about the death of the British monarch began to spread on the Internet. Buckingham Palace had to deny this information.

Gaza ministry says 34,535 Palestinians killed in Israeli strikes since Oct. 7
Next time don't start a war, guys.
[GEO.TV] More than 34,535 Paleostinians have been killed and 77,704 maimed in the Israeli military offensive in the Gazoo
Islamic Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. Then they bitched and moaned about genocide when their butts handed to them in the entirely justified retaliation.
Strip since October 7 last year, the Gaza health ministry said on Tuesday.

Israeli military strikes across Gaza in the past 24 hours killed 47 people and maimed 61, it said.

The Gaza Civil Emergency Service estimated that the bodies of a further 10,000 Paleostinians were under the rubble of hundreds of destroyed buildings.

It said those figures had not been included in the updated health ministry corpse count, which only registers bodies that are taken to hospitals.

"In light of the lack of heavy equipment, efforts to search for the bodies of the deaders will remain insufficient and will not be enough to recover the bodies of thousands of them," it said.

Parking valet, 26, accused of snatching Slack co-founder Stewart Butterfield's kid Mint
[NYPOST] The parking valet accused of luring away the teenage child of Slack’s billionaire co-founder is being charged with having sex with the minor — whom he was allegedly "quasi dating" despite being 10 years older, cops said.

Christopher "Kio" Dizefalo, 26, who parks cars for a living in the Socialist paradise of San Francisco
...where God struck dead Anton LaVey, home of the Sydney Ducks, ruled by Vigilance Committee from 1859 through 1867, reliably and volubly Democrat since 1964...
, was charged with unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor, along with contributing to the delinquency of a minor in relation to the runaway case of 16-year-old Mint Butterfield, according to Marin County booking records.

He was also charged with one count of child stealing — a felony different from kidnapping, used when a victim leaves home willingly but is enticed or coerced by a nefarious actor intending to conceal them from legal guardians.

Mint Butterfield bravely ran away from home on April 21 and was found a week later.

Dizefalo is accused of influencing and sexually assaulting Mint, whose father, Stewart Butterfield, co-founded the workplace messaging application Slack, and whose mother is Caterina Fake, co-founder of the photo-sharing app Flickr.

Together the parents are worth billions.

Mint, who identifies as non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, "willingly" left their home sometime around April 21, police said, and was deemed "at risk" over previous suicide threats.

Niger: Former president Mohamed Bazoum's lawyers call on the state court
[AFRICANEWS] The State Court is expected to rule in about ten days on the lifting of the immunity of the ousted president, Mohammed Bazoum, to stand trial, particularly for "high treason."

Mohammed Bazoum's defense team urges the State Court to reopen the debate to allow the ousted president's lawyers access to the case file, communicate with their client, and prepare his defense. Since the military coup, Mohammed Bazoum has remained detained at the presidential residence in Niamey with his wife.

In their document, the lawyers cite various national and international texts ratified by Niger that "mandate strict respect for the rights of the defense." They also question, in terms of legal interpretation, the designation of "former president," which would potentially enable the lifting of his immunity: he has not completed his term, resigned, or passed away, they note.

Eight Darfur groups unveil plan to reclaim cities from Rapid Support Forces
[SUDANTRIBUNE] Eight Darfur former rebel groups announced a joint plan on Sunday to regain control of Darfur cities currently held by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) paramilitary group in the region.

...a Moslem country located in the Horn of Africa. It is noted for its affinity for rule by ex- or current generals, its holy men, and for the oppression of the native Afro population by its Arab conquerors. South Sudan, populated mostly by the natives, split off from Sudan proper, which left North and South Darfur to be oppressed by the guys with turbans. The country is currently enjoying a civil war between the army and the Rapid Support Forces, which used to be part of the army but then they got another ambitious general and you can guess the rest...

The three-day conference, held in the Barkal area of North Darfur, brought together signatories to the Juba Peace Agreement, including the Sudan Liberation Movement (SLM) led by Minni Minawi, the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) led by Gibril Ibrahim, the Gathering of Sudan Liberation Forces (GSLF) led by Abdallah Yahiya, the Sudanese Alliance led by al-Bukhari Ahmed, SLM of Mustafa Tambour, JEM of Bakhit Dabajo, SLM-Transitional Council of Mustafa Rassas and the SLM- Leadership Council. Additionally, the Sudanese Popular Body for Supporting the Armed Forces and Building Sudan and Darfur Region Popular Support and Resistance® Body.

According to a joint statement, the conference produced "a strategic plan with humanitarian, social, political, military, and security aspects. The goal is to retake cities under militia control, improve civilian protection, and preserve the unity of Sudan’s land and people."

The statement emphasized the movements’ commitment to collaborating with the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), the national army, and other legitimate state institutions "to prevent the collapse of Sudan.

The groups also pledged to engage with international actors, including embassies, diplomatic missions, and human rights

and humanitarian organizations. They aim to "raise awareness of the war’s realities and associated violations, rectify misconceptions, and expose the RSF’s crimes."

The statement condemned countries supporting the RSF, specifically the United Arab Emirates and the Chadian government. It further denounced "agents" — foreign countries and Sudanese political forces — accused of seeking to divide the nation and bolster the RSF’s image despite its alleged crimes.

The conference called for documenting RSF crimes and violations to ensure perpetrators face fair trials, upholding the principle of accountability.

Among the signatory groups, the SLM- Transitional Council led by Hadi Idris and the GSLF led by Tahir Hajer have refused to join the army and instead call for neutrality. The holdout faction of the Sudan Liberation Movement led by Abdel Wahid al-Nur also maintains its stance of neutrality in the ongoing conflict.

Security forces release father-in-law Abid Gafarov
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[KavkazUzel] Police officers released Alipanakh Gashumov, who is the father-in-law of activist and author of the novel “Andalunya” Abid Gafarov. The authorities are persecuting Gafarov’s relatives and himself because in his book he pointed out torture and violations of people’s rights during the “Terter affair,” human rights activist Rufat Safarov believes.

As the "Caucasian Knot" reported, in Azerbaijan on the evening of April 29, people in civilian clothes came to search the private house of activist Abid Gafarov, who is in political exile in Europe. They confiscated copies of Gafarov’s books, a laptop and took his father-in-law to an unknown direction.

On the night of April 30, Abid Gafarov's father-in-law Alipanakh Gashumov was released. After the search, people in civilian clothes took Gashumov to a police station. An hour later he was released. Gafarov himself announced this.

“Everything ended well, largely thanks to human rights activists and representatives of independent media, who promptly covered the search in our house and the actual detention of my father-in-law. The illegal actions of security forces in civilian clothes caused a resonance on social networks and, although my books were irrevocably confiscated, my father-in-law was ultimately they left him alone and released him,” Abid Gafarov told the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent.

The search in Gafarov's house and the detention of his father-in-law is alarming, said Rufat Safarov, executive director of the NGO Line of Protection .

“It is clear that the goal was to confiscate copies of Abid Gafarov’s novel “Andalunya,” in which he described the horrors of victims of torture who were persecuted in the “ Terter case .” It was not clear why they began to bother his father-in-law, an elderly man who was taken from his home at night , they kept me somewhere else and then finally released me,” Safarov told the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent.

The "Caucasian Knot" does not yet have a comment from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan. The department's press service did not respond to a written request.

Let us recall that earlier Abid Gafarov said that the novel “Andalunya” is an allusion to the “Terter Affair” in Azerbaijan. “On April 27, 42 copies of the book presented at the book exhibition “Okhu” (“Reading”) in the Park of the Academy of Sciences in Baku were confiscated by people in civilian clothes. Ruslan Farzaliev, who presented the book at the exhibition and suffered during the “Terter events”, was detained and released many hours later,” Gafarov previously told a “Caucasian Knot” correspondent.

The book "Andalunya" is written in Azerbaijani language and in an original style. It tells about the life of people in the state of Andalunia with distorted socio-political views, noted the author of the blog “ Wind from Absheron ” on the “Caucasian Knot” on March 29.

“The book is written in a harsh style, the author does not advise people with weak psyches to read it. In “Andalunya” Gafarov also talks about the disappearance of citizens caught in the millstone of unemployment, their inherent concepts of courage and honor,” the blogger explained .

The “Terter case” refers to the events when, in the spring of 2017, a group of military and civilians was arrested in Baku on charges of collaborating with the Armenian intelligence services and preparing sabotage. During the investigation, eight people were tortured to death, four of them were subsequently posthumously rehabilitated. In 2021, members of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe indicated that over 200 military personnel were victims of torture, 11 of whom died. On November 1, 2021, the Azerbaijani prosecutor’s office admitted the torture of the accused in the “Terter case.”

In December 2022, 19 people acquitted in the Terter case were released. The court also dismissed cases against two deceased persons. In January, those acquitted reported that the Azerbaijani authorities were putting pressure on them, prohibiting them from communicating with each other and with journalists. Although most of those convicted in the Terter case have been rehabilitated, 10 military personnel still  remain in custody.

Ukrainian Perspective: Invasion of Ukraine: April 30, 2024
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Worth noting, korrespondent.net has compiled its Invasion of Ukraine series into separate months, beginning May 9th, 2023. Linked in the title.

[Korrespondent] 21:54 Norway will allocate an additional almost 600 million euros to Ukraine, Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre said. Of this amount, about 500 million euros will go mainly to air defense systems and another 100 million to other support. Thus, the total amount of Norwegian assistance to Ukraine in 2024 will amount to 1.8 billion euros in direct support.

21:21 Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin said that he is negotiating with a number of countries about the transfer of Patriot complexes to Ukraine: “There are countries that have Patriot, and what we are doing is continuing to negotiate with these countries. I personally spoke with the leaders of several countries in the last two weeks and asked them to provide more funds."

21:15 After Polish protesters unblocked the checkpoints, trucks began returning to Ukraine en masse. However, immediately after crossing the border, the truck drivers were met by TCC employees. In particular, military personnel remove drivers from international flights and send them to acquisition centers, leaving loaded vehicles on the side of the road. Read more in the material Mobilization of truck drivers .

21:12 Zelensky said in an evening video message that he held many meetings today on military topics - on the situation at the front, the offensive actions of the Russian Federation and the actions of the Defense Forces - "both in order to thwart Russian plans and in order to achieve our goals" .

We discussed arms supplies and communication with partners with Defense Minister Rustem Umerov. “We need to significantly speed up deliveries in order to significantly strengthen the capabilities of our soldiers. The front should not be dominated by Russian air bombs and assault operations, but by our Ukrainian initiative - our air defense, our artillery, our drones. We are partly solving this thanks to our production. Special results achieved in relation to drones," the president said.

20:53 On the night of April 30 in Crimea, after a missile attack, a fire broke out at a military airfield in Dzhankoy. The missiles also attacked three military air defense units - in the village of Donskoye, as well as in the Saki and Black Sea regions, and there were wounded Russian soldiers everywhere. For ATACMS missiles, the primary targets are long-range anti-aircraft missile sites and airfields. For more details, see the article Prepare the Bridge .

20:19 Russia has run out of gasoline due to Ukrainian attacks on oil refineries, Politico writes. Diesel fuel prices for Russians have risen sharply, and gasoline prices have reached a six-month high. Drone attacks on refineries have become both a military and political problem for the Kremlin, as cheap fuel is important to the war and to Putin's image. The Russian Federation has already banned the export of gasoline and diesel fuel, and it may have to import gasoline from reserves in Belarus, the newspaper notes.

19:50 The Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe adopted a decision regarding a special tribunal for Russia, which instructed the Secretary General of the Council of Europe to prepare the necessary documents to facilitate consultations in the Core Group and prepare a potential draft agreement with Ukraine on the actual creation of the tribunal. The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry stated that this is an important practical step towards the creation of a special tribunal for Russian aggression.

19:17 During his visit to Vilnius, Zelensky discussed with his Lithuanian counterpart Gitanas Nausėda the issue of returning Ukrainian men of military age, said Lithuanian Presidential National Security Advisor Kestutis Budrys. “To the extent and in the form in which Ukraine deems it necessary, we, of course, will talk with them and help in implementation,” he noted.

At the same time, Burdis emphasized that in order for such a decision to be effectively implemented, it must act at the interstate level. “If we introduce stricter living and working conditions in Lithuania for Ukrainian citizens who evade their obligations in Ukraine, and if they can move to a neighboring country and there will be no such regime there, how effective will this be? It will be more of an imitation,” - Burdis explained.

18:20 Trump said in an interview with Time magazine that he would stop aid to Ukraine if Europe does not increase its share: “I will not give unless Europe starts to compare the score. If Europe is not going to pay, why should we pay?.. On them The ocean between us had a much greater impact."

17:39 In the last week alone, the Russian army was able to capture or enter approximately six villages in the Donetsk region, writes The New York Times. Military experts say Moscow is trying to advance as far as possible before the first shipment of US military aid arrives. More details about the Russian offensive can be found in the article Where the enemy wants to break through .

16:56 The government has allocated an additional 15.5 billion hryvnia for the purchase of drones, Shmygal said. According to him, this is an additional resource to the 43.3 billion hryvnia that have already been allocated for drones this year. For the funds allocated today, 300 thousand drones will be supplied to the Defense Forces.

16:34 Over the past year, Russia has learned to produce new weapons faster than ever before in history, said US Secretary of State Antony Blinken. According to him, the Russian Federation has significantly accelerated the pace of production of ammunition, missiles, tanks and armored vehicles. This was done thanks to significant assistance in the form of machine tools, microelectronics and optics, mainly from China, Blinken added.

16:11 Latvia will provide Ukraine with a new package of military assistance, which will include, in particular, short-range anti-aircraft guns and surveillance drones, Prime Minister Evika Silina said. She recalled that Latvia allocates about 0.25% of its GDP per year to support Ukraine.

He clarified that educational institutions will be built in Nikolaev, Odessa, Zaporozhye, Sumy, Chernihiv and Kharkov regions. “We are starting to build large schools-bomb shelters. And this is construction “from scratch”, in places where, unfortunately, there were no shelters before. Among other things, the safety conditions in such underground premises will include, just in case, anti-radiation protection... I think , we will be able to complete construction this year,” he noted.

14:45 Ukraine will not forcibly return men of military age from abroad, said Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Olga Stefanishyna. According to her, providing data to territorial recruitment centers does not mean automatic mobilization to the front - we are talking about accounting and information.

14:16 In Kharkov, the number of victims as a result of today's attack by air bombs has increased to nine, one person was killed, said the head of the Air Force Oleg Sinegubov. He clarified that four people were hospitalized, another five were treated on the spot. The first hit was recorded in the Kiev district on the territory of a garage cooperative and an administrative building nearby, the second hit on the territory of a civilian railway infrastructure enterprise in the Kholodnogorsk district. The prosecutor's office clarified that Russian aviation dropped three UMPB D-30SN bombs on the city.

13:53 The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that Russian air defense allegedly shot down six American ATACMS missiles and two Hammer guided bombs made in France in one day. Meanwhile, the opposition Russian publication Astra writes that a military airfield in Dzhankoy was attacked at night, as a result of which five servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces were wounded.

13:42 In Kharkov, the Russians again attacked civilian railway infrastructure today, Ukrzaliznytsia reported. As a result of the shelling, one railway worker was killed and another was wounded.

13:05 Zelensky admitted that Ukraine will not be able to become a member of NATO during the war: “The question of NATO is a question of the majority, and the majority is a political question. And in order for Ukraine to be politically accepted into the Alliance, this requires victory. And I believe that one of the reasons why there is a war is because we have not been in the Alliance before.”

12:24 The Russians struck Odessa on April 29 with an Iskander ballistic missile with a cluster warhead, Prosecutor General Andrei Kostin said: “This is an indiscriminate weapon, the use of which can lead to significant casualties among the civilian population. Metal fragments were seized within a radius of 1.5 km from the site of the attack and rocket debris. The investigation has reason to believe that the decision to use precisely such weapons was made deliberately by officers of the Russian Armed Forces in order to kill as many Ukrainian civilians as possible."

12:00 According to updated information, in Kharkov, as a result of today’s strikes, one person was killed and seven were injured, Mayor Igor Terekhov said.

11:52 In the morning, the Russians hit a grain warehouse with drones in one of the villages of the Novgorod-Seversk community of the Chernihiv region. As a result of the hit, a fire broke out, which has already been extinguished; no people were injured, said the head of the OIA, Vyacheslav Chaus.

11:46 On Border Guard Day, Minister of Internal Affairs Igor Klimenko announced the creation of the Garth brigade - this is the 11th brigade as part of the Offensive Guard and the third combat brigade as part of the State Border Service. Garth's fighters are already strengthening the Defense Forces on the eastern borders of the country.

10:47 In Odessa, as a result of yesterday’s missile attack, the vice-rector of the Academy of the International Humanitarian University, Boris Vasiliev, was killed, Moscow State University confirmed.

10:42 The Lithuanian authorities supported the idea of returning men of military age to Ukraine. In particular, the country's President Gitanas Nauseda and Prime Minister Ingrida Simonyte spoke in favor of this. They believe that Ukraine should have the means and tools to “invite its young men to serve their homeland.”

“We could probably look for some ways to make sure that a person has fulfilled his mobilization duty or is released from it when we consider the issue of renewing a residence permit,” Simonyte noted. However, she added that this issue should be discussed at the EU level.

In turn, the representative of the Estonian Ministry of Internal Affairs Anneli Viks said that the country does not plan to deport Ukrainian men to their homeland for military service. According to her, “mobilization is an issue concerning the state and its citizens.” Ukrainians with expired documents will be able to continue living in Estonia, but will not be able to travel to other countries, she clarified.

10:33 The Russians hit the Kholodnogorsky and Kievsky districts of Kharkov with KABs, hits were recorded on civilian infrastructure, including near the park area, said Oleg Sinegubov, head of the OVA. According to him, 23 victims continue to be treated in medical institutions, eight of them are in serious condition, four are in extremely serious condition, including a four-year-old girl.

07:49 A representative of the Russian “authorities” of the occupied Zaporozhye region, Vladimir Rogov, said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a missile attack with ATACMS missiles on Crimea at night, and an air defense system allegedly worked over Dzhankoy and Simferopol.

05:55 Russian troops have received minor tactical advantages near Avdievka and can now choose a further direction of attack, writes the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW). Analysts see several opportunities for Russian troops, but it is unclear where they will focus their efforts in the near future.

Thus, according to ISW assessments, the stabilization of Russian positions northwest of Avdeevka poses the Russian command with a choice: either continue to advance west toward the stated operational objective in Pokrovsk, or try to advance north to conduct possible additional offensive operations around Chasov Yar.

00:34 US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that Washington is ready for negotiations as soon as Russia demonstrates a sincere desire to conduct them. According to him, the end of the war in Ukraine depends on Putin’s decision. "I hope that Putin will understand the message and demonstrate a willingness to negotiate sincerely in accordance with the basic principles, the basis of the international community and the UN Charter: sovereignty, territorial integrity, independence. If these are properly confirmed, a resolution should be adopted," Blinken added .

00:16 Duchess of Edinburgh Sophie Helen visited Ukraine, becoming the first in the British royal family to do so since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion in 2022. In Kyiv, the Duchess of Edinburgh met with President Vladimir Zelensky and First Lady Elena Zelenskaya. She gave them a personal message from the British King Charles III. The Duchess also met with internally displaced persons and visited the mass grave site in Bucha.

Buckingham Palace said Sophie's visit was carried out at the request of the British Foreign Office and was intended to "demonstrate solidarity with the women, men and children affected by the war."

Government Corruption
Rep. Elise Stefanik demands DOJ ethics probe into Jack Smith
[NYPOST] House Republican Conference chair Elise Stefanik is calling for an ethics investigation into special counsel Jack Smith, accusing him of meddling in the 2024 presidential election.

On Tuesday, Stefanik (R-NY) sent a letter to the Justice Department’s Office of Professional Responsibility, demanding it conduct a review of Smith’s handling of the election subversion case revolving around former President

"It’s obvious to any reasonable observer that Jack Smith is trying to interfere with the 2024 election and stop the American people from electing >Donald Trump
...dictatorial for repealing some (but not all) of the diktats of his predecessor, misogynistic because he likes pretty girls, homophobic because he doesn't think gender bending should be mandatory, truly a man for all seasons......
," Stefanik said in a statement.

Stefanik, widely seen as a contender to be Trump’s running mate, rattled off a litany of grievances, accusing Smith of improperly seeking to expedite a trial and issuing court filings in the 2020 election subversion case while it was on stay.

Libya demands improvements after leaked photos show tiny cell of Moammar Gadhafi's son in Beirut
[AFRICANEWS] Leaked photographs of the son of Libya's late dictator Muammar Qadaffy
...a proud Arab institution for 42 years, now among the dear departed, though not the dearest...
and the tiny underground cell where he has been held for years in Leb
...an Iranian satrapy currently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozen flavors of Christians, plus Armenians, Georgians, and who knows what else? It is the home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
have raised concerns in the north African nation as Libyan authorities demand improvements.

The photos showed a room without natural light packed with Hannibal Qadaffy's belongings, a bed and a tiny toilet. "I live in misery," local al-Jadeed TV quoted the detainee as saying in a Saturday evening broadcast, adding that he is a political prisoner in a case he has no information about.

Two Lebanese judicial officials confirmed to The News Agency that Dare Not be Named on Monday that the photographs aired by al-Jadeed are of Qadaffy and the cell where he has been held for years at police headquarters in Beirut. Qadaffy appeared healthy, with a light beard and glasses.

A person who is usually in contact with Qadaffy, a Libyan citizen, said the photos were taken in recent days. All spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to media outlets.

Qadaffy has been held in Lebanon since 2015 after he was kidnapped from neighboring Syria, where he had been living as a political refugee. He was kidnapped by Lebanese murderous Moslems demanding information about the fate of prominent Lebanese Shiite holy man Moussa al-Sadr, who went missing during a trip to Libya in 1978.

The fate of al-Sadr has been a sore point in Lebanon. His family believes he may still be alive in a Libyan prison, though most Lebanese presume al-Sadr, who would be 95 now, is dead.

A Libyan delegation visited Beirut in January to reopen talks with Lebanese officials on the fate of al-Sadr and the release of Qadaffy. The talks were aimed at reactivating a dormant agreement between Lebanon and Libya, struck in 2014, for cooperation in the probe of al-Sadr. The delegation did not return to Beirut as planned.

The leaks by al-Jadeed came after reports that Qadaffy was receiving special treatment at police headquarters and that he had cosmetic surgeries including hair transplants and teeth improvements. al-Jadeed quoted him as saying: "Let them take my hair and teeth and give me my freedom."

Qadaffy went on a hunger strike in June last year and was taken to a hospital after his health deteriorated.

Libya's Justice Ministry in a statement Sunday said Qadaffy is being deprived of his rights guaranteed by law. It called on Lebanese authorities to improve his living conditions to one that "preserves his dignity," adding that Lebanese authorities should formally inform the ministry of the improvements. It also said Qadaffy deserves to be released.

After he was kidnapped in 2015, Lebanese authorities freed him but then detained him, accusing him of concealing information about al-Sadr's disappearance.

Al-Sadr was the founder of the Amal group, a Shiite militia that fought in Lebanon's 1975-90 civil war and later became a political party that is currently led by the country's Parliament Speaker Nabih Knobby Berri
...Speaker of the Lebanese parliament, head of the Amal Shiite party aligned with Hezbollah, a not very subtle sock puppet of the Medes and Persians...
Many of al-Sadr's followers are convinced that Muammar Qadaffy ordered al-Sadr killed in a dispute over Libyan payments to Lebanese militias. Libya has maintained that the holy man, along with two traveling companions, left Tripoli
...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn...
in 1978 on a flight to Rome.

Human Rights Watch issued a statement in January calling for Qadaffy's release. The rights group noted that Qadaffy was only 2 years old at the time of al-Sadr's disappearance and held no senior position in Libya as an adult.

#1  ...A couple of brief Reality Checks(TM):

* Young Mr. Quadaffy is every bit as insane as his Jheri-curled dad was, and by most accounts I've run across, every bit as sadistic and then some. A closet-sized cell is a delightful touch for this palace-raised goon.

*Moussa el-Sadr achieved Norwegian Blue status decades ago, but the Quadaffys had...how shall I put this? - a thing about the remains of their enemies. The Quadaffy kids were in charge of the bodies of several enemies of the state, including the two USAF aircrew lost during ELDORADO CANYON in 1986 - only one of whom has come home. Dad also spent years and millions looking for the missing members of the crew of the Lady be Good - whose wreckage he recovered out of the middle of the desert and secured in Benghazi ever since. There are reliable reports of a secure morgue facility where Dad could come and look at those remains and gloat any time he wanted.

Africa Horn
Heavy clashes erupt in El Fasher as Sudanese army and RSF battle
[SUDANTRIBUNE] Heavy fighting
... as opposed to the more usual name-calling or slapsy...
broke out in El Fasher, capital of North Darfur, on Tuesday morning when Sudan
...a Moslem country located in the Horn of Africa. The country is currently enjoying a civil war between the army and the Rapid Support Forces, which used to be part of the army but then they got another ambitious general and you can guess the rest...
ese army warplanes launched Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
s on Rapid Support Forces (RSF) positions within the city. This escalation comes despite international calls for a ceasefire.

A joint force comprised of armed movements in Darfur allied with the army claims to be closely monitoring RSF movements around El Fasher, the sole major city in Darfur not currently under the control of the paramilitary forces.

The gangs have threatened a decisive defeat for the RSF.

The RSF, however, continues to mobilize fighters, including Arab tribal militias, around El Fasher, defying international pressure. In response, the Sudanese army and allied forces have significantly bolstered their defences throughout the city.

Witnesses reported a military aircraft belonging to the army bombing mobile and fixed RSF targets in the city’s eastern and northern districts. The RSF retaliated with ground-based missiles in an attempt to intercept the aircraft.

The RSF released a video on platform "X" claiming to have repelled 22 Sudanese army attacks on El Fasher since the conflict began. They vowed to defend themselves and confirmed the arrival of reinforcements led by Major General al-Nur al-Qubba.

Al-Qubba, leader of the "Peace Shield" faction within the RSF, had been rumoured to be siding with the rival Revolutionary Awakening Council of the tribal leader Musa Hilal. However,
denial ain't just a river in Egypt...
a recent video shows him on the outskirts of El Fasher, denying those claims and criticizing the council leader’s decision to support the army against the RSF.

El Fasher is strategically important, being the only major city in Darfur that hasn’t fallen under RSF control. The RSF tightened its grip on the surrounding states of South, West, Central, and East Darfur last year.

JOINT FORCE ACCUSES RSF OF TERRORIZING EL FASHER
The Joint Force in Darfur issued a statement condemning the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) for their actions in El Fasher. The statement accuses the RSF of spreading fear and terror among the city’s residents.

According to the Joint Force’s official website, El Fasher is well-defended and will resist the RSF, which they refer to as a "militia" and its allies.

In statement to Sudan Tribune, Ahmed Hussein Mustafa, spokesperson for the Joint Force, accused the RSF of obstructing humanitarian aid by preventing commercial and relief trucks from reaching El Fasher. He called these actions "unfair to civilians."

Mustafa elaborated that the RSF has been blocking roads and rerouting trucks carrying vital supplies, including a UNICEF shipment of medicine and food for children originally intended for North and South Darfur. These supplies were diverted to El Daein in East Darfur.

He further accused the RSF of destroying villages west of El Fasher, forcing residents, primarily of the Zaghawa ethnicity, to flee towards the city. The surrounding agricultural areas are considered a crucial food source for El Fasher.

In mid-April, the RSF, reportedly aided by Arab tribal militias, attacked over 15 villages in the western countryside, displacing residents and escalating tensions in the region.

White Nile State governor criminalizes hate speech, racism
[SUDANTRIBUNE] The governor of White Nile State, Omar Khalifa has imposed penalties against hate speech and racism in the state, under the emergency law.

Tensions has been high in Sudan
...a Moslem country located in the Horn of Africa. The country is currently enjoying a civil war between the army and the Rapid Support Forces, which used to be part of the army but then they got another ambitious general and you can guess the rest...
since the outbreak of war between the Sudanese army (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in mid-April last year, amid concerns over the total breakdown in service delivery systems.

Khalifa on Monday issued an emergency order criminalizing hate speech, racism and discrimination based on social background within White Nile, citing a state of emergency.

The order, obtained by Sudan Tribune, stipulates that those who violate it by "inciting hatred, assisting in its spread, or engaging in negative propaganda" will be punished with imprisonment for a set duration or a fine not exceeding 5 million pounds. Judges have the authority to impose both penalties and double them for repeat offenders.

The order defines hate speech as any phrase, symbol, or implied statement indicating hatred or discrimination based on race, religion, culture, language, disability, political affiliation, or socioeconomic status.

Publishing articles containing such content in the media will be considered a crime of incitement.

The governor explained that this order is part of the White Nile’s plan to combat hate speech and racism, promoting a culture of peace and peaceful coexistence.

Successive governments have failed to address the widespread hate speech and racist rhetoric in Sudan, which has intensified since the conflict began.

This rhetoric often unfairly targets entire communities under the assumption that they support the RSF.

It will also criminalize alleging any Jewish involvement in the crucifixion of Jesus, which means that certain Bible verses will be officially outlawed.

Christianity and the Constitution are under attack, but I can’t say by who. That’s now considered hate speech.

UCLA Replaces Student IDs With New Fashionable Identifying Armbands
[Bee] LOS ANGELES, CA — In a new initiative to streamline the school's identification process, UCLA announced it would be replacing previous student IDs with new fashionable identifying armbands.

Taking inspiration from historical European fashion trends, administrators at the university sought to develop a new way to quickly and efficiently identify certain students, settling on distributing highly visible armbands as the best option.

"Now we'll know who everyone really is!" said UCLA spokesperson Rita Barnett. "With so many unsettling things taking place on college campuses these days, it can be helpful to know who everyone is and prepare to deal with them accordingly. These new armbands will make things so much easier as we figure out a final solution for certain... people groups. And they're so fashionable, too!"

Student feedback about the armbands was mixed. "I feel like I've seen similar things before," said Eric Rothstein, who had been asked to wear one. "I can't quite remember, but it seems like this has happened before. They don't really teach us much about history anymore, though, even in history classes, so I can't say for sure."

Others were heavily in favor of the move. "Yes!" said student Ahmed Al Vaziri. "Now we will know who they all are... I mean, who people are. It's a step in the right direction. Death to Israel, thank you."

At publishing time, UCLA officials announced they were also putting together a plan to gather all armband-wearing students into special dormitories with students being given the option of receiving identifying serial number tattoos on their arms.

Fifth Column
Columbia U: ‘The police never came’
[FoxNews] Columbia students tried to delay mob takeover of Hamilton Hall, but say 'police never came': Rory Wilson says he and his friend tried hold off the mob until the police showed up but no help arrived.
This is how the Nazis took over Germany, then set the world aflame. Separately, I spoke with my sister, the perfesser, today— she says there is no such nonsense at her little local college in another part of the midwest. Their students are entirely apolitical, there for the college experience and a job afterward.
One of the Columbia University students who bravely tried to stop a mob of anti-Israel protesters from taking over an academic building last night tells Fox News Digital they tried to delay the agitators long enough so that police or security could arrive on the scene to back them up – but ultimately neither of them showed.

Rory Wilson, a 22-year-old history senior, says he is furious that the takeover occurred under the university police's watch and that the NYPD never arrived despite students saying they called 911.

Wilson had been asleep in his dorm after midnight when his friends woke him up to say that protesters were targeting a takeover of Hamilton Hall, an academic building used by the dean and other senior offices.

Desperately wanting to protect the building from an illegal break-in, Wilson said he and his friends made their way to the entrance of the building by slipping through gaps in the human chains the protesters had formed that night. The chains broke up while agitators were trying to drag a black metal table up to the entrance of the building and tie it to the door, Wilson said.

Wilson and his friend Charles Beck then stood in front of the doors while the mob furiously pushed up against them, chaotic video from the scene shows.

"It was a matter of trying to stand for what I believe is right, even if ultimately we weren't able to stop the mob," said Wilson, a practicing Christian who has some Jewish lineage and Israeli relatives.

"They were acting illegally and – apart from what you think about the situation in Israel – we know that this was wrong and inappropriate."

"Damaging university property, disrupting school activities, violating the university who's administration had been trying very hard to negotiate with them. I was telling people that this is my protest of your protest, that they were completely out of line and that I was free to stand there as a student on my own campus."

As Wilson stood his ground, his friend Beck was dragged away by the enraged mob.

A man dressed in all black then tried to toss Wilson onto the floor, says Wilson, who wasn’t sure if the man was part of the college or not.

Wilson said the man had been guarding the encampment on the lawn earlier in the day and had called him a "Zionist" as he passed by while he also spewed hateful rhetoric in Arabic, which a friend of Wilson’s later translated to mean "inbred."

"He definitely seemed dangerous and was physically intimidating me and grabbing my leg," said Wilson of the late-night showdown outside Hamilton Hall. Agitators later renamed the building "Hind's Hall" by placing a banner over the facility. Hind Rajab was a 6-year-old who died during Israel’s war with Hamas in Gaza, per a statement apparently from the group that was posted on X.

"I was holding out because there were some people signaling to me that police might be coming, so I thought that I could just hold out and make a big barricade to prevent the building from getting damaged, but then they never came," Wilson said.

As the mob surrounded him at the doors, Wison said another friend told him to leave before things got more out of hand.

"I didn’t want to risk it because a masked mob – when they're already smashing things, committing vandalism, all hyped up – you don't know how violent it could turn so that's why I left."

Wilson, acting as the last line of defense, then stepped aside before the crowd smashed in the door windows and began occupying the building. It is still under occupation as of this afternoon.

"Security was nowhere to be seen. Immediately after exiting, my friends called 911 and I called public safety for campus saying that we had instances of assault because they were physically assaulting us… but there was no response, as far as I can tell, all night," Wilson said.

Wilson said that the campus felt dangerous after the break-in and that he suspected people dressed in black were following him back to his dorm. Other people dressed in black, Wilson said, were climbing into buildings through windows and he wasn’t sure if they were students or outside agitators.

One suspected professional agitator in her 60s was captured on video footage leading the charge to take over Hamilton Hall and Wilson said she vilified him.

"She was harassing me the entire time," Wilson said. She was attacking me saying, ‘Do you guys think you’re white saviors? Check your white male privilege. Who do you think you are? This isn't doing anything.’"

Wilson wants the university to stop talking and to take action against the violent agitators.

"I’m very disappointed in the university that they just sent out an email this morning talking about how they care so much about all student's safety but then when push comes to shove, when there's an actual dangerous situation, they do nothing," Wilson railed.

"And I think that assurance rings very hollow if they're not willing to actually even show up and deal with situations when they are genuinely dire. When people are exercising their legitimate rights as students of this university to stand peaceably in public areas of the university, they're being physically assaulted and they do nothing."

"That really, really makes me disappointed in this university and I think it's shameful."

The real question is: Why did the Columbia facility tell the NYPD to stand down earlier in the week. Thus giving these Genocidal Domestic Terrorists the time and opportunity to takeover and destroy Hamilton Hall?

2nd Question: Where will the $$$$$ to repair the campus damages will come from?

3rdQuestion: Will these clearly racist, school property destructive students be allowed back in class or expelled?

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
Current information on the situation on the front line: April 30 (updated)
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[NewsFront] 21:03 As a result of Ukrainian armed aggression, bell-type submunitions were identified in the village of Komarova, Nikitovsky district of Gorlovka, said the head of the Gorlovka urban district, Ivan Prikhodko.

A woman and a child born in 2019 were injured.

19:50 RF Armed Forces significantly advanced in the Chasovoyarsk direction and reached the bank of the Seversky Donets - Donbass canal.

18:50 About situations in Rabotino in the Zaporozhye direction, military correspondent Alexander Kots reports:

“There is indeed an advance of our forces in the western part of the population. On the northern side, the local presence of the enemy, who sits in the basements and does not stick out, does not conduct active defensive actions. He also began actively mining the northern entrances to the village, which indicates the absence of intentions to counterattack.

Now our forces need to pick out the pigs from positions north of the village, where they can organize a defense and hold part of the village. in the gray zone. And after that it will be possible to say that Rabotino has been taken.”

17:45 Operators of attack FPV drones of the 1st Army Corps of the “Southern” group of forces destroye dammunition warehouse and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Donetsk direction.

During aerial reconnaissance, the position of enemy UAV operators was revealed, as well as equipment and an ammunition depot of the Ukrainian Armed Forces hidden in the forest plantation. The FPV drone crews destroyed the identified targets with several strikes.

16:54 Ukrainian resources confirm the advance of Russian troops in the Avdievka direction.

In particular, the Deep State resource notes that the Russian Armed Forces made a breakthrough to the northwest of Ocheretino, to Novoaleksandrovka.

Also on map shows the almost complete transition to the control of the Russian army of the Keramik region (near Novokalinovo).

16:05 Assault units of the Vostok group of troops, with the support of tanks and attack UAVs, capture strongholds of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the South Donetsk direction -video.

15:55 FPV operators - kamikazes of the Russian army discovered and destroyed a Ukrainian battle tank -video.

14:47 Explosions in the area of Kramatorsk (DPR, occupied by the Ukrainian Armed Forces).

14:32 Destruction of armored vehicles BRDM of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the village of Netaylovoye in the Donetsk direction, using an FPV drone.

14:07 Ukrainian Telegram channels report explosions in the Pokrovsky district (DPR, occupied by the Ukrainian Armed Forces).

13:52 Russian military hit on transport-loading vehicles from the S-300 air defense system of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kharkov region.

13:34 The main thing from the Russian Ministry of Defense report on the progress of hostilities for the day:

Air defense shot down six Ukrainian ATACMS tactical missiles made in the USA

The Russian military hit a Ukrainian hangar for the assembly of light-engine attack unmanned aircraft

The losses of the Ukrainian army in the Northern Military District zone amounted to up to 795 militants killed and wounded

12:54 Ocheretinsky direction on April 30:

The Armed Forces of Ukraine abandoned most of their positions around the present day. Keramik village near Ocheretin and retreated to the neighboring village of Arkhangelskoye. The area of concentration of Ukrainian troops in this area is maximally dense and saturated with a variety of forces: from TrO units to small subordinates of unmanned aircraft as part of mechanized brigades, which, during the defense of Ocheretin, should have played into the hands of the Ukrainian troops, but now plays against them.

There is no centralized resistance, but some attempts to cover the retreat with counter-battery fire are still recorded. The situation for the Armed Forces of Ukraine is aggravated by a shortage of reserves: it is even more difficult to maneuver units along the front than a month ago, since the former Avdeevka group, as previously predicted, was cut into two parts and can no longer function as a single whole.

The main part of the Ukrainian Armed Forces units, as before, are isolated to the west of Orlovka, the remnants of the northern group (the so-called covering forces that left Keramik and retreated to Arkhangelskoye) are knocked out of Ocheretin and are pushed back to the north, where, apparently, they will be destroyed.

After this, the Russian Armed Forces will be able to continue moving along key heights to the west of Ocheretin by rail, which is why the former Avdievka garrison of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (previously isolated from the covering forces) may be under the threat of operational encirclement.

12:20 Units of the “Southern” group of troops as a result of active actions improved positions along the front line, inflicted fire damage on the personnel and equipment of the 46th Airmobile and 79th Air Assault brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the areas of the settlements of Krasnogorovka and Konstantinovka. The enemy lost up to 395 military personnel wounded and killed.

Three tanks, four armored combat vehicles, two cars, and the Bukovel-AD electronic warfare station were hit by guided missile systems and loitering ammunition.

During the counterbattery fight, a 155mm M198 howitzer and a 122mm D-30 gun were destroyed.

Air defense systems shot down 22 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles, a Hurricane missile, and a Dzheydam guided aerial bomb.

11:54 Combat Job of drone pilots of the 14th Brigade of the Special Forces of the Russian Armed Forces in the village. Urozhaynoe in the South Donetsk direction.

10:57 Zaporozhye direction: advance of the Russian Armed Forces to Rabotino. Situationas of April 30, 2024:

In the Rabotino area, Russian troops were able to break through the enemy’s defenses. Stormtroopers from the 2nd battalion of the 71st Motorized Rifle Regiment, under the cover of aviation, artillery and drones, forced the Ukrainian Armed Forces units to leave the village.

The advance of Russian troops was influenced, among other things, by the transfer of enemy forces to the Avdiivka direction, where Ukrainian formations have been unable to stabilize the front for a week.

In recent days, the enemy had been hiding in dilapidated basements and houses, but due to the lack of reinforcements, they retreated from positions near the cemetery in the direction of Kopanei.

At the moment, most of the village is under the control of the Russian Armed Forces; its northern outskirts are actually in a gray zone: there is simply nowhere for either side to hold positions there.

10:34 Ukrainian Telegram channels report on numerous new launches of satellites in the Kharkov region. There are arrivals in the suburbs, but a large number of bombs are still in the air.

10:25 After a short break, the assault on Krasnohorivka resumed. Before this, about 15 FAB-1500 aerial bombs were dropped on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and artillery was fired.

Ukrainian channels note that Russian troops are working with the same tactics - quick attacks of small assault groups on several infantry fighting vehicles, accompanied by a tank. At the same time, the advance in the city from the eastern side continues.

Foreign analysts believe that the Russian troops' plan is to carry out harassing assaults on the main fortified area outside the plant while simultaneously outflanking it.

In this scenario, there is a threat of deep coverage of the industrial zone from east to north and its surroundings. Further, against the backdrop of the prospect of an operational encirclement, the prerequisites are created for squeezing out the remnants of the Ukrainian Armed Forces from the city.

10:10 Gauleiter Sinegubov has already reported several explosions in Kharkov. Local Telegram channels, meanwhile, write about a column of smoke over the city.

09:47 Units of the West group of forces continue to carry out combat missions in the zone of the special military operation.

Launched three counterattacks by assault groups of the 77th Airmobile Brigade and 1st Operational Brigade of the national guard in the Stelmakhovka area. The group’s air defense systems destroyed five aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles.

Enemy losses amounted to up to 40 military personnel, two armored combat vehicles and 3 vehicles.

09:17 UAV operators of the 2nd motorized rifle battalion of the 39th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade destroyed Ukrainian Armed Forces tanks.

08:18 Summary on the morning of April 30, 2024

The situation in the Kherson direction remains unchanged; the Ukrainian Armed Forces are planning to create new points of tension on our shore by landing DRGs and small groups of infantry. In the village of Yubilein, Aleshkinsky District, artillery attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces damaged three residential buildings; in Novaya Kakhovka, a drone hit a car from which a civilian was selling things. The Ukrainian Armed Forces UAV operators see their targets and purposefully target civilians.

On the Zaporozhye front, the advance of the Russian Armed Forces is slowing down due to the continuous mining of the area by Baba Yaga drones. North-west of Verbovoy, ours are using heavy flamethrower systems, aviation is hitting the enemy concentration near Orekhov. In Rabotino, our people are moving forward with the hardest fighting, the Russian flag is planted in the village, the battle continues.

There are oncoming battles in the Vremevsky direction, our troops are gradually moving towards Urozhainy. Aviation is working closely against the enemy, delivering FAB with UMPC.

The South Donetsk direction is characterized by the advance of our troops north of Novomikhailovka along a broad front. Our troops are leveling the line of combat contact, moving towards the road to Ugledar. The assault on Krasnogrovka continues, within 24 hours there has been an advance of the Russian Armed Forces in urban areas.

In the Pokrovsky direction (west of Avdeevka), the Russian Armed Forces are consolidated in the eastern part of Netailovo. The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the liberation of Semenovka. On the Ocheretinsky ledge, our troops fight their way to the Pokrovsk-Konstantinovka road to the north-west. There are reports of the Ukrainian Armed Forces fleeing Novokalinovo under the pressure of the Russian Army, and there are battles for Keramik.

In the direction to Chasov Yar, no significant changes in the front line occurred during the day.

In the Kupyansky direction there are battles in Kislovka, the Russian Armed Forces are fighting for the settlement. In the Krasnoliman direction - a battle east of Ternov.

08:05 Last night, the Ukrainian Armed Forces tried to strike with ATACMS missiles in Crimea; the air defense system worked over Dzhankoy and Simferopol. There are reports of five missiles in the first wave of launches, and four in the second.

08:01 The Ukrainian Armed Forces are unsuccessfully trying to regain positions in the Svatovsko-Kremensky area. This was reported by military expert Andrei Marochko. He noted that there is an intensification of the Ukrainian military in Terny and Torskoye.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Lebanese students stage rare university protest against Israel
*shrug* It gets them out in the fresh air and sunshine, and it doesn’t matter anyway, so that’s ok.
[GEO.TV] Hundreds of students gathered at university campuses in Leb
...an Iranian satrapy currently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
on Tuesday to protest against Israel, the country's first coordinated university protests over Gazoo
Then they bitched and moaned about genocide when their butts handed to them in the entirely justified retaliation.
, which participants said were inspired by sit-ins in the United States.

Students, alumni and other Lebanese gathered at campuses in the capital Beirut and elsewhere on Tuesday, waving Paleostinian flags and posters demanding their universities boycott companies that do business in Israel.

Rayyan Kilani, 21, who is graduating this semester from the 150-year-old American University of Beirut (AUB), said students had decided it was worth risking their degrees to show support for the Paleostinian cause.
"We're not going to get jobs anyway"
"Looking at the Paleostinians in Gaza and students in Gaza that lost their universities, their lives and their families, a degree would not matter to us as much as a liberated Paleostine from the river to the sea," she said.

"Of course we were inspired by the protests in the U.S. and Columbia University in specific."

Pro-Gaza demonstrations in much of the Arab world have been muted, though Lebanon has seen some demonstrations organised by Paleostinian factions and the allied Lebanese gang Hezbollah.

Africa Horn
Sudan's military hints at extended rule after 'victory'
[SUDANTRIBUNE] Sudan
...a Moslem country located in the Horn of Africa.
’s Assistant Military Commander, Lieutenant General Yasir al-Atta, suggested on Sunday the armed forces may lead the country for "several years" following a claimed military victory.

During an inspection of military operations in Omdurman, al-Atta stated, "After our imminent victory, we will enter a founding period without reliance on political parties." He emphasized the Sudanese people and "young popular resistance" would be the driving force.

His comments raise concerns about a potential extension of military rule. His statement echoes previous statements by military leaders rejecting any power-sharing with the pro-democracy forces during the post-war period.

Al-Atta further asserted, "We will establish a state based on national principles, not for those serving foreign interests or betraying the nation. Those who wronged Sudan will be held accountable."

The General visited operation centres alongside the Mobile Command, signifying military support for ongoing war efforts. He declared the operations are progressing as planned and victory is inevitable.

Al-Atta also criticized "evil countries and diaspora Arabs," potentially referencing the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Sudan accuses the UAE of supplying weapons, equipment, and funding to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), a paramilitary group. These accusations have been formally presented to the UN Security Council, prompting a session scheduled for Monday.

The UAE has consistently denied these allegations, claiming a lack of evidence.

Texas state capital seeing ‘unusually deadly' string of suspected overdoses: 'New batch' of drugs
[FoxNews] Austin Chief Deputy Medical Director Heidi Abraham said there were more than 30 calls for overdoses on Monday, compared to the typical two to three calls per day. (Credit: Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services)

Austin, Texas, saw an "unusually deadly" surge of more than 50 opioid overdoses between Monday and Tuesday, resulting in eight people dying and several others being rescued with Narcan, according to officials.

At about 9 a.m. on Monday, Austin-Travis County EMS personnel began responding to a sudden surge in opioid-related overdose calls.

Dispatchers received a series of calls in the downtown area, resulting in a rapid response team that included the Austin-Travis County EMS team and others, being deployed to downtown Austin.

When the team arrived, they distributed over 200 Narcan rescue kits throughout the area to counteract the effects of opioid overdoses, while also providing lifesaving intervention to anyone overdosing on opioids.

#1  An order of magnitude more.
Could it be from the surge of tourists in town for the weekend protests?
Not a bad thing then.

Note no mention of police response.
"resulting in a rapid response team..."
Maybe that's why.

-Land of the Free
Nicaragua Sees Nearly $1 Billion in Remittances from the U.S. in 3 Months
[Breitbart] The communist dictatorship of Nicaragua saw a growth of nearly 12 percent in the amount of remittance money emigrants sent to the country during the first quarter of 2024, mainly driven by remittances sent from the United States, according to a report published by the Nicaraguan newspaper La Prensa on Sunday.

According to statistics from the Central Bank of Nicaragua (BCN), remittances sent to the country during the first three months of 2024 totaled $1.14 billion, marking an 11.8-percent increase from 2023’s $1.02 billion in the same time period.

Of the $1.14 billion received in the first quarter of 2024, the report states, $930.7 million came from the United States, representing a staggering 81.6 percent of the total. The increase, according to BCN, means Nicaragua remains the Central American country with the most growth in remittances received.

Since 2023, Nicaragua has experienced a dramatic upsurge in the amount of remittance funding received by locals from Nicaraguan citizens abroad who have either fled or been banished from the communist regime. Dictator Daniel Ortega turned remittances into a crucial funding resource for the economically-ailing regime.

La Prensa estimated that some 800,000 Nicaraguas have left their country in recent years due to Ortega’s growing repression after the April 2018 protests, which saw thousands of Nicaraguan citizens flock to the streets to demand the end of communism in their country.

In 2023, Nicaragua received a record-breaking 4.32 billion euros (roughly $4.6 billion) in family remittances, an amount that represented nearly 30 percent of Nicaragua’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Of the total, $3.56 billion came from the United States. In 2022, Nicaragua received a total of $3.22 billion in remittances, or 23 percent of its GDP.

While the overwhelming majority of the remittances came from the United States, Costa Rica, Spain, Panama, and Canada were all listed as top countries of origin. All five countries collectively amounted to 97.4 percent of all remittances sent.

Reports published in 2023 detailed how the Ortega regime benefits both economically and politically from the increase in remittances.

Nicaraguan analyst José Dávila explained to the outlet Nicaragua Investiga at the time that Ortega’s main benefit from the migrant crisis caused by his communist regime — and the surge in remittances it has led to — is that it calms internal unrest.

“It seems to be the perfect business of the regime that Nicaraguans leave en masse in search of freedom and then send remittances to their families,” Dávila said.

Nicaraguan economist Enrique Sáenz stressed that remittances “are serving as social policy” for the communist regime, as the increase in economic activity means that Ortega does not have to “lift a finger” in terms of wage and social policy.

“These expenditures in consumption contribute to the fact that Nicaraguan businesses – from the neighborhood beauty salon, the grocery store, the barber shop, to the supermarket or the bean and corn producers, etc. – see a growing market through the income of these families, who, without the remittances, would not be able to buy,” he continued. “This contributes to mitigate the social and political unrest.”

Sáenz also stressed that the goods or services paid for with remittances generate direct income to the regime, as all of them are subject to taxation such as the Value Added Tax (VAT), which helps the communist regime balance its budget.

“This definitely helps the Nicaraguan economy in the sense that it finances household consumption and within that consumption many items pay taxes, either the fixed fee or value added,” Sáenz said, “so Ortega also benefits in some way by taxing these transactions that are financed with remittances, and that helps tax revenues.”

The US State Department had announced a reward of up to $5 million for information concerning him.

Huzeifa is suspected of helping lead a 2017 attack on U.S. and Nigerien forces in Tongo Tongo , Niger , that resulted in the deaths of four Americans and four Nigerien soldiers. Following this attack, the American army reduced its operations with its local partners in the Sahel.

"The identification and evidence collected confirm the death of Abu Huzeifa known as Higgo, a renowned foreign terrorist ," the Malian army said in a statement late Monday.

Mali has experienced two coups since 2020 during a wave of political instability that has swept West and Central Africa. The country has been battling an increasingly serious insurgency led by jihadist groups linked to al-Qaeda and the Islamic State group for more than a decade .

The killing of the Islamic State group's commander over the weekend "could mean less violence against civilians in the region, but the threat remains high as there are certainly leaders with similar brutality ready to take control and to prove themselves," said Rida Lyammouri of the Policy Center for the New South, a Morocco-based think tank.

Colonel Assimi Goita , who took power after the second coup of 2021, has promised to end the insurgency. The ruling junta cut military ties with La Belle France due to growing frustration at the lack of progress after a decade of assistance, and turned to Russian mercenaries from the Wagner Group for support in security matters.

Russian offensive in Donbass: where the enemy wants to break through
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Korrespondent] Russia accelerates offensive in Donbass.

Over the past week, the Russian army has captured or entered approximately six villages in the Donbass, writes The New York Times.

Russia has expanded its offensive operation in the Donbass, and the Ukrainian Defense Forces are forced to partially retreat. This is how the American publication The New York Times describes the difficult situation at the front.

Over the past week alone, the Russian army was able to capture or enter about six villages in Donbass, the media notes. Journalists also note that the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Alexander Syrsky, announced the aggravation of the situation at the front on Sunday.

Military experts say Moscow is trying to advance as far as possible before the first shipment of US military aid arrives.

“Trying to seize the strategic initiative and break through the front line, the enemy concentrated his main efforts in several directions, creating a significant advantage in forces and means,” the publication quotes Syrsky.

CONFIDENT PROGRESS IN THE AVDEEVKA AREA
The commander-in-chief added that “the most difficult situation” is around the villages west of Avdiivka. Here, he said, Russia has deployed up to four brigades. The occupiers' goal is to advance into Ukrainian military logistics centers such as the eastern city of Pokrovsk.

After Russia captured Avdeevka, the Ukrainian Armed Forces retreated to a new defense line about five kilometers to the west, along a number of small villages, but this line was recaptured by Russian forces. In particular, we are talking about such settlements as Berdich and Semyonovka.

The head of the public research group of the Ukrainian Center for Security and Cooperation, Sergei Kuzan, explained that the Ukrainian command was forced to make “a choice between a bad situation and an even worse one” and decided to lose territory, not soldiers.

The situation for the Ukrainian Armed Forces was further complicated by the breakthrough of the northern part of the defense line in the Donetsk region. As you know, the Russian army, taking advantage of the gaps in the Ukrainian positions, quickly advanced to the village of Ocheretino. The settlement is located on the way to Pokrovsk, approximately 45 km to the west.

OFFENSIVE ON CHASOV YAR
The American Institute for the Study of War believes that the achievements of the occupiers in Ocheretino presented the Russian command with a choice: continue the offensive west towards Pokrovsk or advance north towards Chasovoy Yar, which is located at a strategic height approximately 11 km west of Bakhmut.

According to Ukrainian defenders, about 25 thousand Russian troops are participating in the attack on Chasov Yar. Capturing him would put Konstantinovka in the line of direct fire. Moreover, the city is the main supply point for the Ukrainian Armed Forces along most of the eastern front.

An attack north of Ocheretinoye could also allow Russian forces to attack Konstantinovka from the south.

"Russian forces now have the ability to achieve significant operational gains near Chasovoy Yar," ISW said in a Sunday report.

TORETSK OPERATION
At the same time, Ukrainian military expert Konstantin Mashovets believes that the enemy is now forming two flanks for the upcoming Toretsk operation. These flanks are formed in the north (Chasov Yar) and in the south (Ocheretino).

Having broken through Ocheretino, the invaders began to advance towards the highway to Konstantinovka. How, according to Mashovets, did they outline their plan to cover the Toretsky region.

On the northern flank, according to the expert, the Russian army can bypass Chasov Yar without attacking it head-on, but acting from the south and southeast. This is what the Russians did during the assault on Avdeevka with the local coke plant. To form the northern flank of the Russian Federation, it is necessary to reach the Stupochka-Belaya Gora line.

“Apparently, the enemy command understands all this quite clearly and acts precisely in this vein. At least, it is trying. After all, at the moment it has all the conditions for this, and among them, the main thing is an advantage in forces and means, and not just “significant”, but almost “overwhelming”,” Mashovets noted.

WHAT ARE THE PROSPECTS?
Military expert Sergei Kuzan also believes that the advance of the Russian army will occur in the near future, depending on how quickly and in what volume Western assistance arrives.

Last week, the United States said it would urgently transfer the first billion dollars of its new military aid package to Ukraine. This shipment will include Stinger anti-aircraft missiles and other air defense munitions, Javelin anti-tank guided missiles and 155mm projectiles.

Ukraine is especially in need of artillery shells to defeat the enemy and stop their advance. Speaking to Western allies last week, President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russia was firing 10 shells for every one fired by Ukraine.

“We are still waiting for the supplies promised to Ukraine,” President Zelensky said in a late-night address on Sunday.

“We are counting on precisely the volume and content of supplies that can change the situation on the battlefield,” he added.

But whether these supplies will reach the battlefield quickly enough to stop the Russian advance remains unknown. Moreover, military experts say that Moscow is preparing to launch a new large-scale offensive in late May or early June and that it will continue to attack in the coming weeks.

The commander of the 3rd company of the 8th volunteer formation of the territorial society, Vladimir Bitsak, said on Monday that Russia had deployed four battalions near the border with the Sumy region in northeastern Ukraine.

General Armageddon returns before the offensive: Will be Suvorikin be Deputy Defense Minister
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

These rumors have been circulating in Russian media for the last two weeks, that General Surovikin will take a portfolio in the Russian Defense Ministry some time before Vladimir Putin's presidential inauguration, May 7th.

Other rumors have been that current defense minster Sergey Shoigu will be replaced, possibly with General Valery Gerasimov.

The rumor behind that is that Shoigu, in league with Ivanov, either was behind or approved the "shell starvation" imposed on Wagner Group chief Yevginy Prigozhin, meaning he may have known about deputy defense minister Timur Ivanov's skullduggery and failed to inform Putin about it.

[TSARGRAD.TV] Insider telegram channels carried bad news for Kyiv and its Western overlords - before his inauguration, Vladimir Putin decided to give them a surprise that they would not be happy about: to return Army General Sergei Vladimirovich Surovikin to the front. Which can only mean one thing: a powerful offensive by the Russian army is coming.

The legendary “General Armageddon” completes his affairs in Africa, where, thanks to his efforts, the enemies of Russia are now doing very badly, and returns to the Russian lands, exhausted by the war with Ukraine. They have been talking about a return since the beginning of the year.
Currently, it is reported that Suvorikin is somewhere in Africa in a semiofficial capacity.
True, the sources of such news, or rather, gossip, were not the most reliable - various pro-Ukrainian Telegram resources. Blogger Sergei Kolyasnikov, known under the pseudonym Zergulio, called all these rumors and speculations about Surovikin nothing more than “lying nonsense.” And the general continued to remain in the African wilderness.

Well, the enemies of our country in the West could only continue to intensely study the routes of the Russian commander and fear his return to the active army.

In particular, when last fall Ksenia Sobchak published a photograph of Sergei Surovikin, who was walking arm in arm with his wife, this photo caused heated discussions not only in Russia and Ukraine, but also, for example, in the UK. Thus, Center for Information Resilience researcher Michael Sheldon used maps to determine where the military leader was that day.

I think the British are afraid of Surovikin’s return to the system and structure of the Russian Ministry of Defense, so they are trying to discredit him as much as possible through informational means,

Political scientist, candidate of philosophical sciences Yuri Baranchik told Constantinople then, explaining the phobia of the Anglo-Saxons. The British are afraid of the general’s return, since the line of defense he built, against which several waves of attack broke up, where the enemy lost a lot of equipment, including British equipment, has proven to be extremely effective.

It was. But now Zergulio himself started talking about Surovikin, and not some enemy provocative sources.

The return of a combat general with extensive and comprehensive combat experience would benefit the common cause. Even the very fact of the presence of General Armageddon at the front will cause diarrhea and corruption among the Nazis and their patrons from the USA and NATO. They still drop bricks when they hear the words “Surovikin line”,

— the blogger noted, noting that the decision to return Surovikin to the front can only be made by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, that is, Vladimir Putin.

A number of other Russian insider telegram channels wrote about Surovikin’s return to the Ukrainian war as a settled issue.

It’s too early to say how and where, but already this year the honored military leader will return to Russia and receive a well-deserved position. Operation "Surovikin line" did its job,

— reported the Win/Win channel.

In turn, the channel “On March Z” stated that “the decision of the Supreme Commander to return Surovikin to duty exists.” And the position of military adviser in Sudan and Syria, which he held before, will allegedly be taken by his former subordinate - the ex-chief of logistics of the Aerospace Forces and chief of the logistics staff of the Russian Armed Forces, General Trishunkin.

The position to which Surovikni will return has not yet been disclosed. But in light of the upcoming reshuffles, he may become Deputy Minister of Defense. Literally: “A military general should be in his place, and not drive tramps through the sands,”

- the resource reports.

It should be noted that not everyone believed such information. In particular, in a conversation with Tsargrad, State Duma deputy Lieutenant General Andrei Gurulev said that if the president decided to return Surovikin, then he will return him. But when asked about the likelihood of such a decision, he answered “hardly.”

In a conversation with Tsargrad, military expert retired captain of the first rank Vasily Dandykin expressed his opinion.

Tsargrad: In your opinion, is it worth believing such insights?

Vasily Dandykin: As a military man, albeit in the reserves, I will say this: there is enormous interest in this person, especially after he left the post of head of the Northern Military District, so let’s better see what will happen and how. Everything is the will of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief.

Not only Easter and Victory Day are approaching, but also May 7 (the inauguration of the president and the resignation of the government). Next there will be, if not global, rearrangements. In the life of every high-ranking boss there are ups and downs, but no one has canceled the concept of “personnel reserve”. If there is a need for a person, taking into account his professional experience, then he will be available.

- The decision is up to the president...

— Appointments of specific people, both in military service and in civilian service, occur unexpectedly for us, including for telegram channels. And the Supreme One takes a preliminary look, evaluates, and consults. Despite the fact that Surovikin commanded the Aerospace Forces, he has extensive experience in combined arms training and command on the ground. It all depends on how the situation develops at the front, and here, I think, no matter how you look at it, it leads to the fact that we need to attack and liberate our territories. Which is exactly what we are doing now.

So what?

Despite the fact that the likelihood of the famous general returning to duty is now greater than ever, we will still wait for news. But, of course, I want them to be exceptionally kind. A professional can be in demand at all levels - starting from the battalion, regimental level and so on, especially when it comes to the offensive. And people with combat experience are very needed here.

The page with the biography of Deputy Minister Ivanov has disappeared from the Ministry of Defense website

A page with the biography of Deputy Head of the Russian Ministry of Defense Timur Ivanov , who was arrested as part of a case of receiving a bribe on an especially large scale, disappeared from the “Management” section on the official website of the department.

Also, there is no longer any mention of Ivanov on the page where all deputy ministers are listed. At the same time, the links that search engines still provide for the corresponding request are redirected to the subsection about the structure of the Ministry of Defense.

Previously, on the missing page with the deputy minister’s biography, it was indicated that Ivanov was awarded the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, III and IV degrees, the medal of the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, I degree, and other awards.

As reported by IA Regnum , law enforcement officers detained Timur Ivanov on the evening of April 23. The next morning the court arrested him until June 23. The Deputy Minister of Defense was charged with receiving a bribe on an especially large scale. According to the investigation, Ivanov, having entered into a criminal conspiracy, received property benefits from contracting and subcontracting work for the needs of the military department. The Deputy Minister of Defense did not admit his guilt in committing the crime .

The Basmanny District Court of Moscow arrested the real estate and bank accounts of Ivanov and his relatives, imposing restrictions on the assets of the accused, his ex-wives and five children.

Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov at a briefing on April 26 called for trusting only official information and focusing on official statements on the case of the Deputy Minister of Defense.

Government Corruption
Fmr governor rails against Obamacare's rising costs: 'More crony capitalism'
[FoxNews] Bobby Jindal ripped Biden for 'dangerous' executive orders during his presidency

A former Republican governor from Louisiana railed against Obamacare as "the worst kind of political corruption" that he claims was designed to establish reliance on the federal government - an ideology he also suggested is not unique to health care.

Bobby Jindal, a former GOP congressman who unsuccessfully ran for president in 2016, said Obamacare was "sold on a lie" by President Barack Obama in a new video for American First Policy Institute's (AFPI) Center for a Healthy America - pointing to rising costs and fewer health care options over the years.

"President Obama was a very eloquent politician and a lot of what he said sounded great. When he was campaigning to run for president, when he was campaigning to try to pass Obamacare, he made some great promises," Jindal told Fox News Digital in an interview. "All of that sounded great. Here's the problem. Every single one of those promises was a lie."

Jindal detailed rising costs that he says resulted from Obama-era policies, and that "it is time for us to get beyond the failed policies, the failed promises of Obamacare."

"I think you're going to see more and more crony capitalism, where these big companies become dependent on their friends in DC. And it's the worst kind of political corruption," the former congressman said.

Republicans have made attempts to reform Obamacare over the years, failing to pass a reform to the Affordable Care Act in 2017 after former President Trump took office.

Jindal highlighted that the 2024 election will play a key role in future attempts to reform the health care system and that Republicans will be more prepared to create tax cuts and pass legislation than in previous years if they capture a majority in Congress.

Jindal added that "we need a different approach" than the current system under President Biden, who he says has signed "dangerous" executive orders since his first day on the job.

"Biden has made it clear he wants to raise taxes. Biden has made it clear he wants to make us less energy secure. Biden has made it clear he wants to leave the borders open. Biden has made it clear that they will not take decisive action to crack down on anti-Semitism and radical protests on our college campuses. Biden has made it clear he won't stand with our strongest ally in the Middle East consistently. He won't stand with Israel consistently," he told Fox, referencing recent anti-Israel protests that have plagued college campuses in recent weeks.

DHS docs reveal where paroled migrants under controversial Biden flight program are landing
[FoxNews] Department of Homeland Security (DHS) data is revealing the more than 45 cities in the U.S. that hundreds of thousands of migrants have flown into via a controversial parole program for four nationalities — with the vast majority entering the U.S. via airports in Florida.

During an eight-month period from January through August 2023, roughly 200,000 migrants flew into the U.S. via the program. Of those, 80% of them, (161,562) arrived in the state of Florida in four cities: Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Orlando and Tampa Bay, according to DHS data obtained via a subpoena by the House Homeland Security Committee and provided to Fox News.

The policy was first announced for Venezuelans in October 2022, which allowed a limited number to fly or travel directly into the U.S. as long as they had not entered illegally, had a sponsor in the U.S. already, and passed certain biometric and biographical vetting. The program does not itself facilitate flights, and migrants are responsible for their own travel.

In January 2023, the administration announced that the program was expanding to include Haitians, Nicaraguans and Cubans and that the program would allow up to 30,000 people per month into the U.S. It allows for migrants to receive work permits and a two-year authorization to live in the U.S. and was announced alongside an expansion of Title 42 expulsions to include those nationalities. By the end of February 2024, more than 400,000 nationals have arrived under the parole program, according to Customs and Border Protection (CBP) data.

DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas recently said the program is a "safe and orderly way to reach the United States" and has "led to a reduction in numbers of those nationalities."

"It is a key element of our efforts to address the unprecedented level of migration throughout our hemisphere, and other countries around the world see it as a model to tackle the challenge of increased irregular migration that they too are experiencing," Mayorkas said.

The top 15 cities migrants flew into during the eight-month window are:

1) Miami, Florida: 91,821

2) Ft. Lauderdale, Florida: 60,461

3) New York City, New York: 14,827

4) Houston, Texas: 7,923

5) Orlando, Florida: 6,043

6) Los Angeles, California: 3,271

7) Tampa, Florida: 3,237

8) Dallas, Texas: 2,256

9) San Francisco, California: 2,052

10) Atlanta, Georgia: 1,796

11) Newark, New Jersey: 1,498

12) Washington, D.C.: 1,472

13) Chicago, Illinois: 496

14) Las Vegas, Nevada: 483

15) Austin, Texas: 171

DHS also revealed in the subpoena response that as of October 2023, there were about 1.6 million applicants waiting for DHS approval to fly to the U.S. via the parole program.

DHS said in its subpoena response, "All individuals paroled into the United States are, by definition, inadmissible, including those paroled under the CHNV processes."

The statement posted on president’s official account on X, formerly Twitter, said that Sanaullah will have the status of a federal minister.

"The president approved the appointment of Rana Sanaullah Khan on prime minister’s advice under Article 93-1 of the Constitution," the post read.

It is pertinent to mention that the PML-N stalwart served as the interior minister during the previous government, but lost in general election 2024 on the National Assembly seat (NA-100) in Faisalabad
