WASHINGTON (AP) — An assistant FBI director retired after he was accused of drunkenly groping a female subordinate in a stairwell. Another senior FBI official left after he was found to have sexually harassed eight employees. Yet another high-ranking FBI agent retired after he was accused of blackmailing a young employee into sexual encounters.
An Associated Press investigation has identified at least six sexual misconduct allegations involving senior FBI officials over the past five years, including two new claims brought this week by women who say they were sexually assaulted by ranking agents.
Each of the accused FBI officials appears to have avoided discipline, the AP found, and several were quietly transferred or retired, keeping their full pensions and benefits even when probes substantiated the sexual misconduct claims against them.
Beyond that, federal law enforcement officials are afforded anonymity even after the disciplinary process runs its course, allowing them to land on their feet in the private sector or even remain in law enforcement.
"They’re sweeping it under the rug," said a former FBI analyst who alleges in a new federal lawsuit that a supervisory special agent licked her face and groped her at a colleague’s farewell party in 2017. She ended up leaving the FBI and has been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder.
"As the premier law enforcement organization that the FBI holds itself out to be, it’s very disheartening when they allow people they know are criminals to retire and pursue careers in law enforcement-related fields," said the woman, who asked to be identified in this story only by her first name, Becky.
The AP’s count does not include the growing number of high-level FBI supervisors who have failed to report romantic relationships with subordinates in recent years — a pattern that has alarmed investigators with the Office of Inspector General and raised questions about bureau policy.

[Indy Star] Brandon Bernard was executed by lethal injection Thursday at the U.S. Penitentiary in Terre Haute despite a flurry of last-minute appeals filed by his lawyers. He was pronounced dead at 9:27 p.m., the Associated Press reported.
Bernard, 40, was convicted in 2000 of two counts of murder and other offenses for his role in the kidnapping, robbery and murder of a couple in Killeen, Texas, in 1999. His execution was scheduled in October, just months after the Trump administration ended a 17-year hiatus on federal executions.
"Tonight, those of us who love Brandon Bernard — and we are many — are full of righteous anger and deep sadness at the actions of the federal government in taking his life," Robert Owen, one of Bernard's lawyers, said in a prepared statement on Thursday. He was 18 when he and four other teenagers abducted and robbed Todd and Stacie Bagley on their way from a Sunday service in Killeen, Texas.
According to the Associated Press, reality TV star Kim Kardashian West had even asked President Trump to commute Bernard's sentence to life in prison.
Bernard's last words, which were directed to the Bagley family, were "I'm sorry," the AP reported.
Four more federal executions, including one Friday, are planned in the weeks before President-elect Joe Biden's inauguration.
[Washington Examiner] Attorney General William Barr reportedly worked to keep investigations involving Hunter Biden's business affairs out of the public's view during the 2020 election.
A source told the Wall Street Journal that Barr knew since the spring about federal investigations centered in Delaware and Manhattan looking into Biden's business and financial dealings. This was around the time his father, former Vice President Joe Biden, became the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee.
The news comes shortly after reports said Barr plans to stay at the Justice Department until President Trump's term ends in January, tamping down speculation that he wants to step down early.
Neither inquiry is said to implicate the elder Biden, but Justice Department guidelines advise against overt investigatory actions that could disrupt an election. Still, Republicans have long called for investigations into Hunter Biden, and such a demand by Trump to Ukraine's president even paved the way to impeachment.
The report said Barr has resisted demands by Republicans in Congress for information on any investigations involving Hunter Biden. In the final weeks leading up to the election, which Joe Biden won, there had been scarce reporting on federal investigatory action related to his son, but there was a great deal of coverage dedicated to the controversy surrounding Trump allies' efforts to draw attention to Hunter Biden's foreign business dealings and potential for the involvement of a foreign disinformation campaign.
The Justice Department did not return the Washington Examiner's request for comment on the report.

But his role as the DOJ AG is to investigate and dispense Justice, not support a Political Narrative.
Please allow me to play Devils Advocate a little..
I can see a number of reasons for handling this on the QT.
* Threats to investigators and their families.
* Congressional Oversight Committees demanding to be included in the investigation loop.
* Blackmail, bribery and sex-exchanges in the investigative food chain to miss or omit evidence.
* Sudden fake criminal arrests of Investigative family members.
* A Lois Lerner type political motivated IRS audits.
* The Media running with another ANTI-TRUMP false narrative just before election.
* Left Wing Political groups stirring up public problems, screaming it is a Political Election stunt. Possibility shifting some independent sympathetic voters to Biden. Because of the likely newspeak claiming Trump was abusing his Political pull over the DOJ AG to rig the election.

The DOJ is rotten at the head. and what other departments. Move the government offices to the Topeka area and provide the legislators with a remote vote ability. Keep the museums and art galleries in DC to provide employment for trhe residents but please separate lobbying and legislation.

[BALTIMORE.CBSLOCAL] Police are investigating after a man was killed in a shooting in east Baltimore late Thursday afternoon.
Police were called just before 4:30 p.m. to the 3000 block of East Madison Street to investigate a Shot Spotter alert of reported gunfire.
When officers arrived, they found an unidentified man suffering from gunshot wounds.
The victim was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital where he was pronounced dead. He's dead, Jim! shortly after arrival.
Homicide detectives responded and assumed control over the investigation.

A 44-year-old man was walking his dog on November 26 in the 2500 block of Lauretta Avenue at around 11:20 a.m. when an unknown man got out of his car and started talking to him.
As the two argued, the victim continued to walk his dog while the suspect followed him. The suspect then pulled out a handgun and shot at the victim. The victim fled and was not struck by the bullet, police said.
Police said they quickly identified the suspect as 59-year-old Dwayne Brown, of the address above. He was arrested Tuesday morning without incident.

The goal right now is to describe, generally, the types of files/personal information contained in this computer.
After more than four years of repeated denials from the FBI that they had searched their files and had no information on Seth Rich, we now know that was a blatant lie. It was David Hardy, a FBI Senior official, who put that denial in writing in September 2017. Hardy was the Section Chief of the Record/Information Dissemination Section ("RIDS"), Information Management Division ("IMD"),1 Federal Bureau of Investigation ("FBI"), in Winchester, Virginia. It could have been done to protect the investigation.
But I feel feel given the 4 years it was hidden, it is more than likely done to protect the Phony Trump/Russia Impeachment Proceedings and those involved (DNC, Clinton's and etc..) that were pushing that Political False narrative.

And speaking of poor countries, looking at the worldometers, I notice that not a lot is going in in Africa.
