Kamala gives Christmas Eve migrants the cold shoulder: Two busloads of border crossers are left shivering in sub-zero weather after being dumped outside VP's Washington DC residence
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • Migrants stood outside in the freezing 18 degree temperatures with some only wearing a T-shirt, CNN reported

  • Some were given blankets and placed on another bus headed to a local church

  • It remains unclear who is responsible for sending the Christmas Eve migrants to the Naval Observatory on Saturday night

  • Texas Governor Greg Abbott admitted he had sent buses of migrants north, including to a location outside Harris' home, back in September

#1  I would probably cease this particular element of the protest. I can see a universe where one of the illegals takes a whizz on her lawn, the bus driver gets seized for insurrection in response and an angry patriot takes an entire WNBA team hostage to try to free everyone in the DC gulag - women’s basketball players being shown to have a very high trade value. Regardless, nobody wants this. Let’s just stick to inconveniencing the hypocritical people in sanctuary cities and not treat specific politicians like Supreme Court justices no matter how much they deserve it. Some poor soul like Hunter’s PC repair man will end up being the loser in this Archduke Ferdinand scenario that is just begging for a FED setup, the same dudes who have apparently infiltrated every social media including Pinterest.

Congressional lawmakers seek more federal drought relief for farmers
Huh, New England?
[JustTheNews] Congressional lawmakers in Connecticut and Rhode Island have teamed up to seek more federal relief funding to help New England livestock feed producers, and other farmers impacted by severe drought conditions.

In a letter to House and Senate budget leaders, members of congressional delegations from both states urged them to pump more money into relief programs, and expand eligibility to drought-wary forge farmers in the region, who they said are being left out of federal assistance programs.

The request for additional federal farm aid comes as Congress this week considers a $1.7 trillion fiscal year 2023 Omnibus Appropriations bill, with a potential end-of-the-year government shutdown looming.

"New England has lost significant numbers of small dairy farms over the past decade, and we are concerned that the impacts from this drought could be the breaking point for these producers," they wrote.

Specifically, they want Congress to replenish funds from the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Emergency Relief Program, and expand the program to cover losses incurred in 2022, in addition to losses from 2021 and 2020.

The USDA approved disaster designations in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut in August, paving the way for counties in each state impacted by the drought to apply for federal loans. The lawmakers said they are grateful for that aid, but pointed out some feed producers were left out of the program.

That's because the farming relief programs support producers who grow forage for their own livestock. Many New England grow forage for sale to other livestock producers, but don't have livestock themselves, and as such are not eligible to participate in forage-related assistance programs.

The lawmakers said hay losses due to this summer’s drought are "staggering" with some producers reporting declines as high as 55% of normal harvests.

"The drought has impacted the availability of feed and silage for agricultural producers which will likely cause large price increases for many agricultural products this winter," they wrote. "The expected regional feed shortage will have ripple effects on our local dairy enterprises."

Government Corruption
Arizona county was stumped by unregistered voters, old addresses, discrepant tallies, emails reveal
[JustTheNews] Following the Nov. 8 midterm elections, officials in Pima County, Ariz., struggled to determine how to handle provisional ballots cast by unregistered voters, discrepant provisional ballot totals, and ballots cast by voters with old addresses — even asking the secretary of state's office for guidance.

The confusion and uncertainty clouding county election officials' decision-making are revealed in newly released internal emails obtained through a public records request submitted by America First Legal Foundation.

A week after Election Day, Pima County Recorder Gabriella Cazares-Kelly wrote to Pima County Elections Director Constance Hargrove that the Recorder's Office found that 11 unregistered voters had cast provisional ballots but was unsure what to do about them because her office was "not normally in possession of the Provisional Ballots and my team is very opposed to opening them."

#1  probably need a separate post on the decision yesterday regarding dismissal of the Lake challenge in Maricopa County.

apparently, the Lake team didn't call eye witnesses, just relied on statistical analysis and 2nd hand testimony but I am not in AZ and didn't get a close and comprehensive read on the case

#2  The general rule for ballots is a new address within the same precinct equates to a regular ballot because all the local issues would be the same. Someone who has changed address should vote provisionally at their new address and go through the cure process that will also update their registration going forward. Anyone who shows up at the precinct for and old address shown be referred to their new precinct. If they insist on voting at their old precinct, they vote provisionally and their vote is incurable and tossed. Regardless, all handling of provisional ballots is done by law. Both Pima and Maricopa County Election offices need to get the Broward County treatment after the SOS, DA and Governor’s offices return to competent management …. which will be never based on this article and everything else we have seen since 2020.

#3  Overwhelming circumstantial evidence of voter fraud and elections bias/trickery are insufficient to prove INTENT according to the federal judge. You need an actual confession by an elections official because all that other evidence, despite its stunningly obvious explanation, isn't compelling.

In other words, FU voters, you can't prove it, even though everyone knows its true.

#4  If I were going after the Maricopa County, I would have gone after the fact that there were wrong ballot sizes available in the polling place. That is unprecedented. If you can walk the 7 why’s back to the root cause of why there was wrong sized ballots issued, you can find someone who did something. That is where the squeeze begins.

#5  Intent is irrelevant SH. The law specifically states that Intent or maliciousness doesn't matter, specifically. If it happened, either they have to throw out the votes for the county, or redo the election. Stated in the Law, as written by the Legislature.

This was a Judge saying "Yeah, they almost certainly did it, but I'm not touching this". Appeal will happen, though not holding breathe. Hell, the damn Elections Director stated, in changing testimony the second day, that the 20" to 19" change happened on Election Day, AKA the systems were switched on ED.

lot of people fired up to Ballot Harvest and Early Vote now. We'll see if it makes a difference in 2024.Though probably not with McConnell, McCarthy, and McDonnal all looking to be in charge after 0-6.

#6  it was a high bar that the Kari Lake team had to meet

not only that bad things happened but that the bad things were intentional and also that the bad things made the difference between which candidate won

and not only that, it had to be established by clear and convincing not just preponderance of evidence

#7  As soon as the guy said “root cause analysis” in progress he unbuttoned the back doir of union suit and bent over the exam table…. and the doctor walked out of the room and to the nurse to write script for Motrin.

Former Google CEO Eric Schmidt Is Funding Biden Admin Jobs
[Breitbart] The former CEO of Google, Eric Schmidt, who has acquired a reputation for his incessant attempts to extend his influence into the U.S. federal government, particularly in the areas of science and defense, is helping fund the salaries of several employees in the Biden administration, according to reporting by Politico.

Breitbart News has reported extensively on Schmidt’s attempts to influence successive presidential administrations, beginning with Barack Obama.

Via Breitbart News:

Google has deeper ties to the Democrat party than perhaps any other technology company, which is perhaps why some executives were caught on camera tearing up after Hillary Clinton failed to win the presidency in 2016.

An investigation by the Intercept found that hundreds of individuals either moved from Google to the White House or from the White House to Google during the Obama administration.

Eric Schmidt, who was executive director of Alphabet Inc during the presidential campaign, pitched himself as “head outside adviser” to the Clinton campaign in 2014, according to emails leaked by WikiLeaks. Schmidt — then still executive director of Google-parent Alphabet — was also pictured at Hillary Clinton’s NYC “victory” party wearing a badge marked “campaign staff.”

Schmidt is deeply tied to the Department of Defense, a relationship that began during the Obama administration. He is currently Chairman of the DoD’s Defense Innovation Advisory board. Schmidt’s relationship with top U.S. politicians has also paid off in New York, where Governor Andrew Cuomo has asked him to “re-imagine” the state post-coronavirus.

Earlier this year, another Politico report exposed Schmidt’s attempts to influence the Biden administration’s science policy. According to the latest report, those efforts are ongoing, with Schmidt indirectly funding the salaries of “more than two dozen” Biden administration officials via an external group, the Federation of American Scientists.

Via Politico:

A POLITICO investigation found that members of the administration are well aware that a significant amount of the money for the salaries of FAS’s fellows comes from Schmidt’s research and investment firm, Schmidt Futures, and that the organization was critical to the program to fund administration jobs. In fact, the influence of Schmidt Futures at FAS is such that they are sometimes conflated.

Thus, some close observers of AI policy believe that Schmidt is using the program to enhance his clout within the administration and to advance his AI agenda.

“Schmidt is clearly trying to influence AI policy to a disproportionate degree of any person I can think of,” said Alex Engler, a fellow at the Brookings Institution who specializes in AI policy. “We’ve seen a dramatic increase in investment toward advancing AI capacity in government and not much in limiting its harmful use.”

In statements to Politico, both the White House and Eric Schmidt denied any impropriety in the relationship.

“Neither Eric Schmidt nor the Federation of American Scientists exert influence on policy matters,” said a White House spokesperson. “Any suggestion otherwise is false. We enacted the most stringent ethics guidelines of any administration in history to ensure our policy processes are free from undue influence.”

A spokesperson for Schmidt did not deny that the former Google boss’s motivations are tied to his interests in the future of American AI, but framed this goal in a positive light.

“Eric, who has fully complied with all necessary disclosure requirements, is one of many successful executives and entrepreneurs committed to addressing America’s shortcomings in AI and other related areas,” the Schmidt representative told Politico.

“While it is appropriate to review the relationship between the public and private sectors to ensure compliance and ethics oversight, there are people with the expertise and experience to make monumental change and advance our country, and they should have the opportunity to work across sectors to maintain our competitive advantage for public benefit.”

#1  On the one hand, I feel like have the libs fund the government instead of me is sort of justified. On the other hand, having bozos be able to directly drop their operatives into advisory positions sounds like a scenario like Feinstein’s staff where the enemy is inside the wire reading intelligence and drafting legislation. The only solution that I can think of is to have everyone in DC down to the janitor level excepting tourists and minors wear NASCAR jumpsuits identifying their different sponsors.
