....Miss Pickford was a lovely lady, and a superb businesswoman. Depression and Demon Rum got her in the end, however. Retreated into a bottle and her mansion in the mid-30s and pretty much stayed there until she passed in '79.

Didn't Carole play the part of Gloria in that model railroading movie, "Sick Trainset, Gloria Monday!"
[FOX] Fox News contributor Lisa Boothe called for President Biden's resignation during a fiery appearance on "The Big Sunday Show" where she accused his administration of endangering American lives abroad during the evacuation of U.S. troops from Afghanistan.
LISA BOOTHE: We do not know how many Americans are left in Afghanistan and if we don't know, how do we know we've gotten them all out? How do we know when [the] mission is complete if we don't know how many Americans are in Afghanistan?
This just goes to show you... why former defense secretary Robert Gates said Joe Biden has been wrong about every major foreign-policy issue for the past four decades, witnessing what has unfolded over the past few days and he sits there and lies to all of us by trying to tell us this was ’unavoidable?’ Joe Biden owns the disaster in Afghanistan from start to finish. Not only did he vote to authorize the war and go to Afghanistan in the first place but he presides over the biggest foreign-policy blunder in our lifetimes leaving Americans behind and such incompetence not even knowing how many Americans are there...also leaving behind military assets.

Stages of Vaccine Development and Testing
1.Laboratory and Animal Studies
Exploratory Stage, 2-4 years
2.Pre-Clinical Stage, often lasts 1-2 years
Many candidate vaccines never progress beyond this stage because they fail to produce the desired immune response.
3.(Investigational New Drug)IND Application
A sponsor, usually a private company, submits an application for an Investigational New Drug (IND) to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The sponsor describes the manufacturing and testing processes, summarizes the laboratory reports, and describes the proposed study. An institutional review board, representing an institution where the clinical trial will be conducted, must approve the clinical protocol. The FDA has 30 days to approve the application.
sorry to post again, but it looks like a minimum of 3 years and 30 days to get a "vaccine" approved by the "FDA"
I have wondered how far the immunity extends. Can the FDA be sued? Your doctor? Pharmacist? Anyone know?
Lawsuit could be as simple as failure to provide adverse reaction info (the insert in the box is blank if you can believe it) which means failure to secure informed consent.
This product has not been approved or licensed by FDA, but has beenauthorized for emergency use by FDA, under an EUA to prevent Coronavirus

[BBC] A disinformation campaign claiming that the Covid-19 virus originated from an American military base in Maryland has gained popularity in China ahead of the release of a US intelligence report on the virus origins.
In May, US president Joe Biden ordered a 90-day probe into whether the Covid-19 virus came from a lab accident or emerged from human contact with an infected animal.
Until then, the "Wuhan lab leak" theory had been dismissed by most scientists as a fringe conspiracy theory.
But now as the report is due to be released, China has gone on the offensive. In the past few weeks, Chinese sources have been amplifying a baseless claim that Covid-19 was made in the US.
Using everything from rap music to fake Facebook posts, experts say the propaganda efforts have been successful at convincing the domestic Chinese audience to cast scepticism on international criticism of the country's role in the Covid-19 pandemic. But, experts say, it has done little to legitimise China to the outside world.
WHAT ARE THE ALLEGATIONS?
Most Americans may have never heard of Fort Detrick, but it is becoming a household name in China.
Chinese propagandists have pushed a conspiracy suggesting that the Covid-19 coronavirus was made and leaked from the military installation in Frederick, Maryland, about 80 km (50 miles) north of Washington DC.
Once the centre of the US biological weapons programme, it currently houses biomedical labs researching viruses including Ebola and smallpox. Its complicated history has sparked speculation in China.
Mr Zhao, who is known for his aggressive style of diplomacy, has played an important role in spreading the "US origin" theory. Several tweets from his account last year first drew wide attention to Fort Detrick. "What's behind the closure of the biolab at Fort Detrick?" he wrote in July 2020, "When will US invite experts to investigate the origin of the virus in US?"
In recent months, his calls have been joined by Chinese diplomats based in various countries, and the Chinese state broadcaster CCTV even aired an hour-long special report, "The Dark History behind Fort Detrick", focusing on breaches of containment at the lab in 2019, to bolster claims of lax lab security echoed by Chinese officials and state media. A related hashtag has had more than 100 million views on Weibo, China's Twitter equivalent.
"We see a more sustained campaign involving more numerous and geographically spread accounts to promote the narrative," about Fort Detrick, says Ira Hubert, a senior investigative analyst at social analytics firm Graphika.
Another popular theory, pushed by the nationalist tabloid the Global Times, attempts to connect the virus's origins to a US coronavirus expert, Dr Ralph Baric, and researchers at Fort Detrick.
The newspaper suggested that Dr Baric created a new human-infecting coronavirus, citing a paper the North Carolina-based researcher co-authored about the virus's transmission from bats in Nature Medicine.

I have visited this sight many times. Located in a populated area with security as well. Nothing major. Locals were very familiar with this facility. Experiments yes but what not really known. In today's world people thought aids began there. I don't think so. Birds die from flu quickly and that was studied(I understand sheep also). Birds were studied and I know that for a fact. No great excitement here. Very low key. Mainly research. Obviously research but product development perhaps not.
This is about the point in the negotiations where someone on our side says, "I am evacuating our people. If you f**k with me, I will kill you all." Problem is, we don't have anyone with the sand to say it and sound like they mean it. Second problem is that at this point, we are not capable anything so un-nuanced as another "Highway of Death", especially with the accompanying over-hyped civilian casualties.

Look up an article in a Chinese military magazine titled "The Six Wars China Must Fight." The author (a Chinese General) argues that any place that submitted to China during its history is part of China and must be "reconquered" by China. The interesting thing is the article claims that the Mongols are Chinese. Therefore anyplace that submitted to the mongols is part of China.

As the management types say, Wren, personnel is policy. And the Taliban are a wholly owned subsidiary of Pakistan’s ISI. Still, Dron’s comrades-in-arms have proved much more effective at taking away the weapons the ISI have been sending over — or under — the border than the ISI have been at sending them, so there should be some healthful and satisfying exercise for all involved in the near future, with nicely photogenic piles of shiny new American weapons at the end of it.
[American Thinker] We Americans focus tightly on our federal elected officials. We become fanatic about our presidential candidates and scrutinize closely our senators and House members. But when it comes to the agencies that really run the government, the best we can do is contact our Senators about the officials who need Senate approval. We have no say at all over the vast army of unnamed employees. Trump’s presidency, though, revealed how powerful these unelected people are...and how much they hate us. Exhibit A for today is General Michael Hayden, former Director of the NSA and Director of the CIA — under George W. Bush.
Hayden’s Twitter feed reveals how very deeply and profoundly this former military officer and government official hates that half (or more than half) of America that voted for Trump. He shows the same animosity we saw with Peter Strzok when he wrote his married girlfriend that he could "smell" the Trump supporters at Walmart.
Here are some examples of what you’ll find on his feed. For one thing, if you don't want to take a vaccine that even the MSM is conceding is potentially dangerous, he wants you out of the country and preferably, dead:
...attorney, national security director at the American Economic Liberties Project national security director, U.S. Marine (Iraq and Afghanistan — but was he tip of the spear, fobbit, or JAG?), International Negotiations Officer on the Joint Staff at the Pentagon, which sounds impressive...
on Tuesday said blaming the American public for the chaos seen in Afghanistan this week is the "definition of insanity" created by a lie that "people who have power, are in control are happy to perpetuate."
U.S. Naval War College professor Tom Nichols published a piece in The Atlantic this week arguing that the American people held responsibility for the fall of Afghanistan's government due to the immense public support American military operations in the country received.
Kunce, a Marine officer running as a Democrat in Missouri's U.S. Senate race, shot back at Nichols' characterization.
"This is like the definition of insanity, right? They they told us forever that Afghanistan was going great and then now they're blaming the voter for supposedly it being their fault," Kunce, who is running as a Democrat in Missouri's U.S. Senate race, said on Hill.TV's "Rising."
The Taliban on Sunday took control of Afghanistan's capital city of Kabul and demanded a peaceful transfer of power after Afghan President Ashraf Ghani fled the country. Thousands of Afghans have since attempted to escape the country, with several dying in their efforts.
Kunce said the disarray in Afghanistan is reminiscent to what he saw precede the chaos in Iraq when he was part of the Marine Corps in 2007. According to Kunce, superiors forbade him from providing accurate evaluation to Iraqi forces that he trained, despite feeling that many members of the force should have received lower ratings than they did.
"There was just this huge systematic lie or systematic institutional dishonesty that was perpetuated by the people in charge," Kunce said. "And in Iraq we saw them get overrun by a couple thousand guys with pickup trucks and now we're seeing the same thing in Afghanistan.

Improvise, Adapt and Overcome. Not too late to turn this into an effective object lesson. Seven step or phase process follows:
1. Find ways to get the Americans and coalition partners out and get them home.
2. Ignore the deadlines. Leave a military contingent (with air support) on the ground responsible for the destruction of bridges, dams, power generating stations, cratering of airfields, cell towers, and anything of value over $1.00.
3. TCDD the poppy fields.
4. Kill all the animals.
5. Kill anyone who comes near you and anyone else within range. If it moves, kill it again. Put all survivors to flight, creating a massive refugee problem for Pakistan.
6. Ruck up, get out, but promise to return to administer a booster shot if necessary.
7. Provide media coverage of each phase. Send videos to Pakistan.
[The Hill] Former Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Ret. Admiral Michael Mullen said Sunday that the U.S. should have left the Afghanistan more quickly after the killing of al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden in 2011.
During an appearance on ABC’s "This Week," Mullen, who served under former President Obama, also gave credit to President Biden for his focus on counterterrorism in Afghanistan.
"Think, in retrospect, yes, we should have. I don't think it was possible for us to just abruptly walk away right after we killed bin Laden. But, clearly, we could have gone earlier than we did," Mullen told host Martha Raddatz.
"As I look back and -- and a lot of people are critical of the president right now, President Biden had it right back then. He was focused singly on counterterrorism. His advice was along those lines. And he certainly said that. And I give him credit for that."
Afghanistan's government fell last week as the Taliban took control of Kabul, regaining full control of the country for the first time since 2001, when U.S. troops arrived there in response to the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

"'Sickening': Here's why one retired military officer spoke out against Trump, Mike Mullen says president aids racial injustice and politicizes the military." By Elizabeth McLaughlin, ABC News, June 4, 2020.
Mullen:
"While no one should ever condone the violence, vandalism, and looting that has exploded across our city streets, neither should anyone lose sight of the larger and deeper concerns about institutional racism that have ignited this rage," Mullen wrote in his op-ed. "As a white man, I cannot claim perfect understanding of the fear and anger that African Americans feel today. But as someone who has been around for a while, I know enough—and I've seen enough—to understand that those feelings are real and that they are all too painfully founded." He called the images of law enforcement, backed by the National Guard, clearing peaceful protesters out of Lafayette Square with smoke canisters and pepper balls so the president could pose for a photo outside St. John's Church "sickening."

[Washington Examiner] Afghan staffers at the U.S. Embassy in Afghanistan are losing faith in their chances of getting evacuated from the country, according to a State Department diplomatic cable obtained by NBC News .
The cable, sent on Saturday, revealed that Afghan staff at the embassy were told to go to the Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, where the U.S. military is leading the evacuations.
The staffers had been warned to expect difficult conditions, "however no one anticipated the brutal experience that occurred," the cable said. Afghans said they had been hit, spat on, and cursed at by members of the Taliban near the airport.
Some staffers said they had nearly been separated from loved ones, while others said they had collapsed in the rush of people.
"It would be better to die under the Taliban’s bullet" than face the crowds again, the cable said, quoting a staff member, while another said, "Happy to die here, but with dignity and pride."
The Biden administration is working to evacuate Americans and Afghan allies who face danger after the Taliban quickly and easily rose to power in Afghanistan, the speed of which caught U.S. officials by surprise.
[France24] French Resistance member Pierre Georges shot dead a German naval midshipman on August 21, 1941, at Barbès-Rochechouart metro station in occupied Paris — the first deadly attack on the occupiers, which prompted the Nazis to kill hundreds of hostages they were holding in the occupied zone. FRANCE 24 looks back at this seminal moment for La Resistance, 80 years on.
The crisp bureaucratic prose of the Paris police report captures the daring and drama: "This morning, at 8:05am on August 21, at Barbès-Rochechouart station, line 4, at the platform for the Porte d’Orléans direction, a German naval officer, Mr. [Alfons] Moser, was shot twice as he was getting into the first-class carriage. [...] An individual standing at the door of the carriage fired two shots from a gun, through his pocket, at the officer approaching the other door. The perpetrator and another individual quickly got off the train, ran to the exit, jumped over the barriers and fled the scene."
[Just The News] President Biden showed "hubris" by rejecting the Trump administration's withdrawal plan from Afghanistan, and it "gave the Taliban three months of prime fighting season" to take over the country, retired Green Beret and congressional candidate Joe Kent told the John Solomon Reports podcast on Wednesday.
Kent served in the military for over 20 years, was deployed 11 times, and lost his wife in action while she was fighting against ISIS in Syria. He is now running for a congressional seat in Washington state.
Kent criticized the Biden administration's mishandling of the Afghanistan withdrawal.
"What I think happened with Biden is he wanted to have his cake and eat it, too," said Kent. "He didn't want to give Trump the victory of following Trump's withdrawal plan in May. So he's kind of like the guy that's riding a crocodile, hoping it eats him last."

Death toll at Kabul airport chaos grows to 20 — NATO official
[IsraelTimes] A panicked crush of people trying to enter Kabul’s international airport has killed seven Afghan civilians in the crowds, the British military says, showing the danger still posed to those trying to flee the Taliban’s takeover of the country.
At least 20 people have been killed at the airport in the past week, a NATO official says.
“The crisis outside the Kabul airport is unfortunate. Our focus is to evacuate all foreigners as soon as we can,” the anonymous NATO official tells the Guardian.
Militants send special forces to Kabul airport Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited
[REGNUM] Militants of the Taliban movement sent a special-purpose detachment to the Kabul airport. Reported by Al Jazeera.
According to the agency, the purpose of the terrorists is to disperse people who are trying to leave the country on American and Pakistani planes involved in the evacuation of foreign citizens working for the United States.
"In order to overcome the chaos and restore order at the Kabul airport, all flights have been canceled," the terrorists said in a statement.
We will remind, at the present time at the Kabul airport there are about 800 representatives of NATO countries, as well as the military of the United States, Great Britain and Turkey.

[KhaamaPress] Thousands of men, women, and children are still waiting in the blazing heat to enter Hamid Maybe I'll join the Taliban Karzai ...Former president of Aghanistan, part of the problem not part of the solution... International airport and fly out of Kabul to save their lives.
US state department has announced that the airport will remain closed for 48 hours to evacuate those who have already entered the airport and then the operation will be resumed.
The sky of Kabul is still dominated by flights that are flying over the Afghan capital day in and day out, a desperate scene down on the ground for millions at homes and thousands sitting at the doors of the airport.
The worst humanitarian situation around the Kabul airport is at its peak and thoroughly unprecedented in history as 12 people have been reported to be either rubbed out or have been suffocated in past seven days.
The US and other countries have guided their nationals not to come to the airport as it is almost impossible to push through thousands of people and enter the main gate.
There is reportedly new guidance planned for those who tend to enter the airport which is said to be with the help of specific taxi drivers who will bring passengers to the gates.
On the other hand, the pentagon has hinted that US troops might begin operations outside Kabul airport to rescue citizens.

Possibly not even that smart on the technical scale. But then, he always was.
[Daily Mail, Where America Gets Its News] Tony Blair has blasted Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. Old, boring, a plagiarist, fond of hair sniffing and grabbing the protruding parts of women, and not whatcha call brilliant. Just look at the competent way he dumped Afghanistan... 's 'imbecilic' decision to withdraw US troops from Taliban ...Arabic for students... -controlled Afghanistan, calling the President's scuttle 'tragic, dangerous and unnecessary' and claiming the move had 'every Jihadist group round the world cheering'. Mr Blair, who was in Downing Street when London sent UK troops to the Middle Eastern country 20 years ago following the 9/11 attacks on New York and Washington DC, said Britannia has a 'moral obligation' to stay until 'all those who need to be are evacuated'.
In a 2,700 article on the threat of 'radical Islam', the former British prime minister said the exit was not in the West or Afghanistan's interest as he lamented the likely reversal of gains made during the occupation, with the Taliban reasserting itself across most of the country in recent days.
Speaking to Sky News, Mr Blair said he has 'enormous respect' for Mr Biden, but suggested that the President - who campaigned on a slogan of ending 'forever wars' and is likely to be keeping an eye on the midterms next year - had withdrawn US troops for domestic political reasons.
He repeated his assertion that the withdrawal was a 'serious mistake' and 'not something we needed to do' and said there had been 'a lot of gains' made in the past two decades, stressing that the deaths of British Armed Forces personnel were 'not in vain'.
Mr Blair also issued a stark warning to Boris Johnson ...pro-Brexit British prime minister, succeeding no-Brexit Theresa May. BoJo is noted as much for his sparkling personality and his hair as for his Conservative policies.... that the manner of the US' handling of the exit indicated the UK could be relegated from the top division of international powers, with reports Britannia was largely kept in the dark about when American armed forces would leave.
Speaking to Sky News today, Mr Blair added that countries including China and Russia are likely to applaud the withdrawal and occupy the 'vacuum' in Afghanistan left by the NATO ...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. It's headquartered in Belgium. That sez it all.... powers. Both the Prime Minister and Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab have suggested Britannia will now have to turn to Beijing and Moscow to assist with exercising a 'moderating influence' over the Taliban post-withdrawal.
Relations between Britannia and US are strained, with Defence Secretary Ben Wallace warning 'no nation will be able to get everyone out' of Afghanistan as Mr Biden's August 31 date makes the mission even more time-pressured, in what is likely to be seen as a plea to Washington.
Cabinet insiders have suggested the President was 'gaga' and 'doolally' for withdrawing so quickly, while the Prime Minister has allegedly privately referred to Mr Biden as 'Sleepy Joe', the nickname coined by Donald Trump ...dictatorial for repealing some (but not all) of the diktats of his predecessor, misogynistic because he likes pretty girls, homophobic because he doesn't think gender bending should be mandatory, truly a man for all seasons...... . Mr Johnson also allegedly remarked Britannia 'would be better off with Trump' - allegations branded 'categorically untrue' by Downing Street.
'For Britannia, out of Europa ...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum... and suffering the end of the Afghanistan mission by our greatest ally with little or no consultation, we have serious reflection to do,' said Mr Blair. 'We don't see it yet, but we are at risk of relegation to the second division of global powers.'
His comments come as the US President signalled he wanted evacuations from Kabul airport completed by the end of the month as he prepares to withdraw all American troops - a move that would likely force Britannia to wrap up its operation at the same time.

[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] A conservative talk radio host from Tennessee who had been a vaccine skeptic until he was hospitalized from COVID-19 has died. He was 61.
Nashville radio station SuperTalk 99.7 WTN confirmed Phil Valentine’s death in a tweet on Saturday.
Valentine had been a skeptic of coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague) ...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men... vaccines. But after he tested positive for COVID-19, and prior to his hospitalization, he told his listeners to consider, "If I get this COVID thing, do I have a chance of dying from it?" If so, he advised them to get vaccinated. He said he chose not to get vaccinated because he thought he probably wouldn’t die.
After Valentine was moved into a critical care unit, his brother Mark said the talk radio host regretted that "he wasn’t a more vocal advocate of the vaccination."
"I know if he were able to tell you this, he would tell you, ’Go get vaccinated. Quit worrying about the politics. Quit worrying about all the conspiracy theories," Mark Valentine told The Tennessean on July 25.
"He regrets not being more adamant about getting the vaccine. Look at the dadgum data," Mark Valentine said.

Well, the nature trail they were on is in an area named "Devil's Gulch". Possibly for a reason.

My boy is up in Mammoth mountain and he warned us while hiking about Carbon monoxide that comes out in some areas and displaces the oxygen. You get tired, dizzy, then dead in fairly rapid order if you aren't paying attention. I would think the autopsy can spot that sort of thing.

[EN.ALGHADEERTV.NET] A sixth-grade student poisoned and killed a private school security guard to steal money from the school’s safe, according to the Egypt Independent.
What a precocious lad!
Authorities in Sohag revealed that the guard was killed and the school’s finance office was robbed by a student. Names of the victim and the accused were not released.
According to reports, the student confessed to the crime. He fed the guard koshary, a traditional Egyptian street food, containing rat poison in order to steal a safe that he kept in his office.
The student took advantage of a friendly relationship with the victim and offered to buy him lunch. After eating, the guard fell to the ground soon after and died.
The Balina Police Department received a call from the school’s owner, saying that a body had been found and that computers, surveillance equipment, and a safe containing over $40,000 (650,000 Egyptian pounds) were gone, the Egypt Independent reported.
Security cameras from nearby properties caught the boy poisoning the guard. He was arrested and immediately confessed to committing the murder and theft.
The accused confirmed that while he was at school to pay the year’s tuition fees, he saw the large sums of money inside the school safe and decided to steal it.

Koshary not kosher, wot? Way ahead of ya, tw. I'll skip dinner too.
SCOOP: A US F-15E shot down a UAS near the Green Village military base in eastern Syria yesterday. I'm also told a general officer was flying the F-15E and fired the AIM-9X. The ownership and identity of the UAS is not being released. Story: 🔒https://t.co/kxv5KHnJqM
A Fox News journalist reported that the drone was Iranian, and was shot down "after flying ’too close’ to some of the 900 US troops deployed" in eastern Syria.
Drones purported to be Iranian have been shot down by Israeli forces after being flown from the direction of Syria in the past. In 2020, Israel claimed to have a foiled a massive plot involving the use of Iranian attack drones flown from the Syrian Golan into Israel.

Bandits have released 15 more #students kidnapped last month from a Baptist school in northwest #Nigeria, officials told Reuters on Sunday.https://t.co/yku9eF8phq
School administrator Reverend John Hayab said that parents had raised and paid an undisclosed ransom to free the students, who were among more than 100 taken on July 5 from the Bethel Baptist High School.
"The students are already being released and would be handed over to their parents any moment from now," Hayab said.
Hayab previously said the abductors were seeking 1 million naira ($2,430) per student.
Kaduna state’s commissioner for internal security, Samuel Aruwan, confirmed the release but did not immediately comment on the ransom payment.
Kidnappers released 28 children from the school in July following the release of a first group of 28 two days after the raid. Around 80 had remained in captivity before Sunday’s release.
Armed bandidos seeking ransoms have kidnapped more than 1,000 students from schools in northwest Nigeria since December, and Kaduna state schools remain closed due to the threat.
President Muhammadu Buhari in February called on state governments to stop paying bandidos, and Kaduna Governor Nasir El-Rufai publicly refuses to pay. But desperate parents and communities often raise and pay ransoms themselves.

left billions of dollars of military equipment in the hands of the barbarous anti-American Taliban
[TheTelegraph] The world appears to have woken up to an important truth this week: which is that Joe Biden is a truly terrible president. It is a shame that it took America gifting Afghanistan back to the Taliban for so many people to realise this.
To be charitable, there were perhaps two reasons why this had not become more obvious before. The first is that Joe Biden is not Donald Trump and for a lot of the planet that seems to be recommendation enough to occupy the Oval Office. A break from the Trump show appealed to an awful lot of people.
But the second reason why too few realised what the world was going to get from a Biden presidency is that the US media simply didn’t ask the questions it needed to ask. Before the election a near entirety of the American media gave up covering it and simply campaigned for the Democrat nominee.
It was the same with the Big Tech companies. So persuaded were they (Twitter in particular) that they had been responsible for Donald Trump’s election in 2016 that during the 2020 race they did everything they could to get Biden in. That included – and this cannot be said often enough – effectively muting America’s oldest newspaper: the New York Post’s story about Hunter Biden’s laptop, which contained serious allegations of corrupt tail-coating by Hunter and other members of the Biden family when Joe was vice-president. But Big Tech restricted the story from being shared and almost no other journalists bothered to follow it up.
This is just one week in the life of Joe Biden, but you could select almost any other week in his career and find a similar soup of certainty, unknowingness, falteringness and arrogance. It is what you get when you have spent a career with a court media asking you about your choice of ice cream and reached the highest office in the land because you weren’t the other guy.
The world always gets serious again. And it just got serious on Biden’s watch and has shown something that should have been revealed during the primary season long ago: that the man who is now commander-in-chief is not remotely in command of his brief.

Looking for adults is exclusionary and quite possibly racist. I know Jazz Jennings is 21 now and can no longer represent a crucial teenage policy maker gap, but that's no reason for you to exclude her from an executive decision position.
Its been obvious since Iowa. Even the die-hards were like, "My vote is actually a vote for the first female president."

[EN.ALGHADEERTV.NET] Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskiy on Sunday signed a decree imposing sanctions on Andriy Derkach, the Ukrainian politician accused by the United States of being a Russian agent and interfering in U.S. elections, the presidential office said.
The sanctions include an asset freeze, a ban on capital withdrawals, the revocation of Derkach’s licences, restrictions on him transferring resources of any kind, and other measures.
A top Ukrainian security official said in a briefing on Friday that Ukraine was sanctioning Derkach, along with members of the Russian military and Russian judges.
Derkach has previously denied wrongdoing and said he was being targeted for exposing corruption.

At the very beginning of the Japanese occupation of Manchuria, many Russian immigres, who associate the arrival of the Japanese with hopes to restore order in the city and to protect themselves from the arbitrariness of the Chinese authorities and, what the hell is not kidding, help in the further liberation of Russia from the communist Jews, joyfully greeted the new authorities. But soon most Russians realized that there was no good to be expected from the Japanese.
The Japanese established their own, Japanese order in the city, which differed from the Chinese arbitrariness only in that that in general, disenfranchised Russian immigres were freed from indiscriminate extortions by the Chinese authorities. The Japanese established strict rules, and extortions, so to speak, became orderly and legal. Before the arrival of the Japanese, we had our own horse. With the arrival of the Japanese, the horse had to be sold: they introduced an unaffordable tax on horse ownership, and once the nurse on the farm became an expensive burden. It was bought by Cossacks visiting from Three Rivers.
Having sold the horse, my grandfather bought a donkey. Donkeys, as it turned out, were not taxed, and could work in much the same way as horses. Having sold a Russian cart and bought a Chinese cart, my grandfather woke up Uncle Yuri every morning, even before dawn, and they left for the distillery for a bard. Despite all the efforts of his grandfather to live prosperously, it became more difficult day by day to do so.
eSwatini is just Swaziland with a bad dye job, hoping the new haircut will help her find a swell sugar daddy.
[All Africa] The regional body has essentially ignored the plight of the emaSwati who continue to suffer under the brutal reign of King Mswati III, activists say."This is a regional problem. We have no confidence in any of the African organizations that should be taking a lead in this particular matter. They are turning a blind eye ... so we are certainly not happy [with the lack of solidarity]. This is why we are looking at different avenues."
So says Qhawekazi Khumalo, 37, spokesperson of the United eSwatini Diaspora, a non-governmental organization (NGO) that advocates for democratic governance and human rights ...which are usually entirely different from personal liberty... in the country. Khumalo, who is a member of the South African chapter of the Swazi Lives Matter global solidarity movement, says the United Nations ...where theory meets practice and practice loses... High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) must execute its mandate to protect human rights by taking decisive action against violations taking place in eSwatini.
Speaking at an eSwatini solidarity march to the UNHCR's regional office in Pretoria on 13 August, Khumalo said: "No matter how small [eSwatini] is, we are all part of the human family and surely we deserve the same freedom that everybody enjoys."
At a Southern African Development Community (SADC) troika summit of the organ on politics, defence and security cooperation that was held in Lilongwe, Malawi, on 16 August, President Mokgweetsi Masisi of Botswana only afforded two paragraphs to the situation unfolding in eSwatini. He simply said the ministerial and technical fact-finding mission sent on 4 July and again from 15 to 22 July had completed its assignment and the report had been shared with King Mswati III for consideration.
The fact-finding mission, which purported to speak to all "stakeholders", ignored eSwatini's banned main opposition party, the People's United Democratic Movement (Pudemo).
Lamenting the lack of time, resources, effort and depth of the mission's efforts, Khumalo said: "If you are not able to consolidate everybody who speaks on this system and speaks on change, then what's the point?"
A BOYS' CLUB
Pudemo president Mlungisi Makhanya says the movement has been disappointed by the indifference of the governments in the region as well as SADC.
"What SADC has shown is that it has no interest in the citizens of the region. It is only a boys' club where the leaders, not the people, are what matters. When they approached the issue of Swaziland, what was foremost on their minds was how to serve Mswati and his murderous regime. They have no interest in the killed people of Swaziland, the multitude of people who continue to lie in hospitals and those who continue to languish in Mswati's jails. Their interest is regional stability at the expense of the human rights of the people of the region," he said.
The National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa (Numsa), which was present at the march along with shack dwellers' movement Abahlali baseMjondolo and the South African Federation of Trade Unions, called on progressive organizations to support eSwatini's citizens to achieve their demands in the face of King Mswati's brutally violent mostly peaceful regime.

When the US invaded Afghanistan to go after Al Qaeda and Osama Bin Laden I felt we had no friends there. 20 years later, as Biden bungles the draw down and thousands upon thousands swarmed the US planes begging to leave with us, I realized our young men and women in uniform had won the hearts, the minds, the trust, and became close family to the people of Afghanistan.

A couple things to look for in crowd pix:
With sparse crowds, was the pic taken *before* the venue filled up?
For big fake crowds, you can often see repeated groups or patterns of people where the 'photographer' used the clone brush to add in some extras.
It is possible to go full Hollywood set extension mode to add people and buildings. It looks great but takes money and time so you will not see it as part of the regular news cycle.

Not suggesting the crowd vid was hinky. Just riffing off AlmostAnon's sarc on a subject of nerdly interest. Although, you would be surprised at what a skilled compositor can do with footage.
[AMERICANTHINKER] The Army of North Vietnam had Jane Fonda.
Fonda was a willing useful idiot to them and their propaganda and had a grand old time gleefully bouncing up and down on a North Vietnamese anti-aircraft gun used to shoot down American fighters. That image was catnip to the communists, but sickening to Americans, and the putrid image reverberated for decades.
But not even those masters of propaganda, burning with hate for the U.S., could top the Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... , which must have spent months brainstorming to come up with crap like this:
They've got quite a propaganda operation, state of the art, really, and imagine what they've got for us come 9/11.
Apparently the image has been out there since late July, first run by the U.K, Sun, but it's gotten out now, a painful reminder that senile Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. The guy who lost Afghanistan, aka Biden's Bungle... and his clown lieutenants have handed the Taliban billions of dollars of state-of-the-art American equipment, and a $700 million embassy as the Taliban runs circles around the Americans trying to leave the country, blocking 10,000 American citizens' entry to the Kabul airport to evacuate, accompanied by beatings, and the odd spray of machine gun fire in the huge, desperate crowd on the outside. They defeated us, as at least one Biden official reportedly said, in what was a self-inflicted own-goal on our side. And now they're twisting the knife on us as well as making a bid for new recruits.
Which rather tells us that the Biden-created catastrophe is far from over. The terrorists, at least so long as Biden is around, have "won" and winning a whole country is not enough for them, they also need to dance around and stomp on our most sacred images to keep the party going.
The idea of course, is sadistic pleasure in our pain across the board, not just to America's brave veterans of the Afghanistan war, but to American troops from every war, and Americans in general.
Imagine what World War II veterans, who fought and died in the most desperate warlike conditions and eventually won, must be feeling when they see that grotesque clown parody, done up by slimy bully boyz who did nothing at all to win except for wait for the Biden administration (aka the Wilmington comorra) ...knaves, footpads, and adjusters employed by the Biden Crime Family. They leave a trail of havoc everywhere they turn their attention, be it the nation's borders, the Keystone XL Pipeline, or epidemics, sometimes on purpose, most times through sheer arrogant ineptitude. Watching the military leadership dudes in dresses trying to outperform Gary Busey in Under Siege makes this look like snark, and not very good snark.
Following his initial announcement that a Lebanese ship would import desperately-needed oil from Iran, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah has now declared, "our second ship will sail within days, and other ships will follow."
[Atlanta Journal-Constipation] An investigation into alleged corruption at the U.S. Penitentiary in Atlanta has led federal officials to ban several prison staffers and nearly empty out the prison, transferring about 1,100 offenders to correctional facilities in other states , The Atlanta Journal-Constitution has learned.
As of Friday, 134 inmates remained inside the Atlanta prison, according to its official website. Back in March, it had more than 1,800 inmates. Employees have been told that ultimately all prisoners from the penitentiary and inmates at the adjacent minimum security camp will be transferred.
The prison went into an institutional lockdown on June 22 after receiving a "serious threat" and an institution emergency was declared, a staff memo obtained by the AJC states. Two days later, an official with the Federal Bureau of Prisons told the staff in a follow-up memo the lockdown was being extended after investigators discovered a "prevalence of narcotics and cellular devices being used by the inmate population."
That same day a prison teacher found 24 cell phones, 30 chargers, ear buds, Under Armour long underwear, wrapped bundles of a "leafy substance," weed grinders, assorted chains and necklaces and one bottle of air freshener. And that was just in the Education Department.
A little more than two weeks later, BOP sent out memos notifying staff that four senior officers, along with one wage supervisor, had been barred from the federal pen and should not be allowed entry "under any circumstance."
They were barred "in the interest of the efficiency of the service," the memos stated.
To employees at the prison, though, the opaque wording concealed nothing. One complained that the Bureau of Prisons had "gone nuclear" in rooting out problem employees, while others said an overhaul was long overdue.
"We’ve been shouting from the rooftops for years and they didn’t do a damn thing," said one longtime employee, who fears losing his job if his identity were revealed. "It’s been a long time coming."
Inmates were transferred out the last week of July.
The Bureau of Prisons did not respond to a request for comment.
The southeast Atlanta complex is a medium-security prison for men. The complex also has a detention center for pre-trial detainees and inmates being held for transfer, as well as an adjacent camp for minimum security inmates.
Evidence has piled up in recent years about lax security at the complex, with lapses blamed at times on inadequate staffing. Tales of raucous parties and free-flowing contraband, though, pointed to staff complicity.
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] A man who murdered a senior Iraqi official in broad daylight this month was sentenced to death Sunday amid revulsion over the government’s failure to halt a wave of liquidations.
"After all proceedings concluded and the convict confessed, he was brought before the Karbala criminal court which examined the crime and sentenced him to death by hanging," the Supreme Court of Iraq said in a statement.
Abir Salim, municipal director in the shrine city of Karbala which houses the graves of two of Shia Islam’s most revered figures, was rubbed out as he worked on August 10.
He was on foot supervising a survey of unauthorized construction when Hussein Abd al-Amir, wearing a traditional white robe, pulled out a gun and shot him at close range.
Abd al-Amir was arrested at the scene.
Under Iraq’s criminal justice system, his lawyer now has 30 days in which to lodge an appeal.
President Barham Saleh also has to sign an execution order for the death penalty to be carried out.
Salim’s murder sparked widespread public anger over apparent impunity for politically linked crimes, after more than 70 activists had been targeted for liquidation since October 2019.
Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhemi went to Karbala after the killing and pledged: "Murderers and criminals will not escape punishment."
There have been no claims of responsibility for the wave of killings.
But supporters of anti-government protests that broke out in 2019 charge that the culprits are known to the security forces but allowed to go free because of political connections, particularly with Iraq’s powerful neighbor Iran.
After decades of war, insurgency and sectarian conflict, Iraq has no shortage of firearms in circulation.
According to the Small Arms Survey, the country counted 7.6 million registered firearms in 2017 for a population of 39 million people, 40 percent of them under the age of 14. Many more are unregistered.
Amnesia Amnesty International says Iraq is the world’s fourth most prolific implementer of the death penalty.
The rights group says it recorded more than 45 executions there in 2020, including many of people accused of belonging to ISIS.

[THEPOSTMILLENNIAL] Portland Police Bureau Chief Chuck Lovell signaled ahead of Antifa ...the armed wing of the Democratic Party... 's announced direct action Sunday that local law enforcement won't intervene to protect residents from the riotous activity expected to take place.
The city braced for violence after Antifa accounts in Portland warned press to not film or photograph rioters at the planned Antifascist ...anybody you disagree with, damn them... Action at the Salmon Street Springs water fountain in Tom McCall Waterfront Park on Sunday afternoon.
All the members of the police department's Rapid Response Team had resigned during the course of the year 2021, after one of the team's officers was indicted for an incident that occurred while the group was being attacked by rioters. Instead, authorities plan to "provide safety information and direction to participants and bystanders via loudspeaker," according to Lovell.
"You should not expect to see coppers standing in the middle of the crowd trying to keep people apart. People should keep themselves apart and avoid physical confrontation," Lovell stated via PPB blurb.
According to local outlet Fox 12 KPTV, the city of Portland is readying itself for what will likely be another pitched street battle between Antifa and its right-wing counterparts on the anniversary of a previous violent mostly peaceful clash between the two forces, which took place in front of the Multnomah County Justice Center.
"Within the resource constraints we have, we are preparing and working with partners to include Oregon State Police and local partners from the metro area to put together the appropriate resource package for this weekend," Lovell continued. Responding to criticism for the decision, Lovell iterated: "I understand the optics of that. But we have to make tactical decisions that put us in a place where we’re likely to be successful in making an arrest or taking someone into custody."
"To the extent that we can, we will make arrests whether it's after something takes place or if it's possible to make one at a different time, we'll do that."

"People are lighting fireworks and dispersing chemical spray," Portland authorities tweeted. "Those crossing line into criminal activity are subject to arrest. Some traffic lanes are being periodically affected."
In a separate tweet, officials warned drivers to avoid the area and told those engaged to leave the area and be peaceful.
Independent journalist Andy Ngo identified one of the two groups as Antifa and shared video footage of explosives being thrown and a van being crashed.
Fox 12 Oregon reported that there were approximately 50 Antifa members and 100 right-wing protesters in the area.
In addition to setting off fireworks, Antifa members were seen throwing smoke bombs and firing paintballs. A man was arrested after a shooting in downtown, but it was not clear if the incident was tied to the earlier clashes, police told Fox News. There was no information on any injuries.
Prior to the shooting, the suspect reportedly told an Oregonian/OregonLive reporter that the left-wing activists were "the real fascists."
The "Summer of Love: Patriots Spreading Love not Hate" event was scheduled to start at 2 p.m. at Waterfront Park but was later moved to the parking lot of an abandoned K-Mart.
Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler, who held a virtual "Choose Love" event with Portland Police Chief Chuck Lovell and other city leaders ahead of the planned events, denounced hate and violence.
"Anyone who comes into our community and is spreading their hate, their racism, their xenophobia, their white supremacist predilections, all of that is very intimidating to people who are here, particularly people of color," Wheeler said.
The rioting came on the one-year anniversary of clashes between right-wing and Antifa members outside of the Multnomah County Justice Center.

I'd say Thank-you ...
As the Chief of Police has officially said the his Police dept. will offer NO protection from the Rioters well documented physically violent, thieving nature and their Arsonists.
We the citizens of Portland hereby announce a Call to Order of All Citizens to organize into Community Watch and Protection Militia groups.
This done in order to protect our communities, were the Police have officially stated they cannot or will not offer such basic government obligated services and citizen protection from harm.
This unabridged authority is provided to the citizens by the US Constitutional's Right to Restore and Maintain order in the 2nd Amendment. "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms..." to protect to ourselves, our families, and our properties.

^There is a certain amount of Kabuki theater going on here on the part of Antifa, the Proud Boys, Prayer Warriors, and so forth. They are basically scheduling their street battles with one another and the police in certain contained areas. Unless they are participants, the locals know to avoid these areas while festivities are going on. So if you're buying a home on the other side of town, it's not really part of your day-to-day life.
Businesses in downtown Portland remain boarded up long after the height of the nightly BLM-Antifa riots last year. Rolling riots, vandalism, crime, homicides & homeless camps have shuttered many downtown businesses. Efforts to revitalize Portland’s downtown economy have failed. pic.twitter.com/huXgCSgast

You really don’t understand! After the businesses go broke, China will buy them cheap. They will then be able to load grain and ship it down the Willamette to China . The same thing is happening up and down the west coast!

The whole purpose of jails was an alternative to offing sociopaths. Jail was never to be an issue of dignity. For those not yet convicted, fine Sheriff. Those convicted are not entitled to dignity. Their victims were.

Dane County is primarily Madison, Wisconsin ("90 square miles surrounded by Reality, where 'Common Sense' goes to die") along with rural 'bedroom communities' (where the liberals with more money live) and a few actual agricultural areas in the west part of the county.
The Sheriff is probably not trying to be a pansy, he's just a product of the system.

[EN.ALGHADEERTV.NET] A jacket wallah attacked a checkpoint into the Libyan town of Zella on Sunday, killing himself but causing no other casualties, a front man for the eastern-based Libyan National Army (LNA), which controls that area, said.
Libya has endured a decade of violence and chaos since the 2011 NATO ...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A collection of multinational and multilingual and multicultural armed forces, all of differing capabilities, working toward a common goal by pulling in different directions... -backed uprising against Muammar Qadaffy ...The late megalomaniac dictator of Libya, admired everywhere for his garish costumes, funny hats, harem of cutie bodyguards, and incoherent ravings. As far as is known, he is the only person who's ever declared jihad on Switzerland... , but there have been only sporadic attacks by murderous Moslem groups in recent years, mostly in remote desert areas.
Zella is a small oasis town in the desert south of Sirte located near an oilfield of the same name. LNA front man Ahmed Mismari said the attacks bore the hallmark of the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... .

I’m in shock. Openly condemning the actions of brother Muslims in favour of those icky Jooos. Truly we live in a time of miracles — thanks to President Trump.
[Jpost] Egypt is to close the Rafah crossing on its border with the Gaza Strip until further notice on Monday, Egyptian security sources said.
Hamas, the Palestinian faction that controls Gaza, said it had been informed by Egypt of the decision to shut the crossing in both directions, without giving details.
According to two Egyptian security sources, the closure was made for security reasons following an escalation on Saturday between Israel and Hamas, with Israeli aircraft striking sites in Gaza after gunfire across Gaza's border with Israel earlier in the day.
The latest escalation saw an Israeli Border policeman, 21-year-old St.-Sgt. Bar-el Shmueli, seriously wounded after being shot at the border.
[All Africa] Nigeria is set to conduct a review into animal grazing rights after deadly festivities between herders and farmers who complain about livestock destroying their crops. The review will examine grazing sites in 25 states.
A statement by President Muhammadu Buhari's spokesperson, Garba Shehu, said the review will determine the level of encroachment on the grazing sites. The agreement on the number of grazing reserves and states was reached after considering security concerns and other socio-economic conditions.
President Buhari approved the rehabilitation of grazing reserves across the country as from June 2021, to curb bloody festivities between herders and farmers. However, there's no worse danger than telling a mother her baby is ugly... previous government proposals were criticised for favouring the herders, who are mainly from Buhari's ethnic group. Many southern Nigerian states have called for open grazing to be banned, arguing that cattle breeders should set up ranches for their animals.

An internal affair of the Palestinian Authority, but noteworthy for the portents for the shaky PA government.
[IsraelTimes] Paleostinian Authority police say they have arrested 24 people protesting Ramallah’s response to the death of a prominent political activist while in the custody of PA security forces.
The demonstrators planned to call for accountability in the death of Nizar Banat,
...the Israel-hating, anti-corruption crusading, amateur West Bank politician (he was by profession a carpenter and house painter) who for years was regularly arrested by PA authorities until the day they finally beat him to death...
an outspoken critic of the Paleostinian Authority who died in jug on June 24 shortly after he was arrested. But police shut down the protest and arrest two dozen activists.
Police front man Louay Arzeigat issues a statement saying the demonstrators have not received a permit and "refused to sign the conditions for the gathering." It does not elaborate.
Banat’s family has said he was beaten as he was taken out of his home and has accused the Paleostinian Authority of trying to cover up the death.
Paleostinian officials have said the matter is under investigation.
[FOXNEWS] Vice President Kámala Harris Former Oakland mayor Willie Brown's former mistress, then a senatrix from California, and then a former 2020 Dem presidential hopeful. She dropped out because she was polling in negative numbers because of racism. Her father is a Marxist professor emeritus at Stanford and her mother is an Indian of the Hindoo tribe. She is reputedly the proud descendant of a long line of women. Joe Biden picked her for her skin tone, feeling she could also bring in the Native American, women's, and bimbo votes. She's an outstanding exemplar of the Peter Principle, proudly displaying her level of competence in her handling of the Biden Border Surge landed in Singapore on Sunday as she begins a visit to Southeast Asia that will also include a stop in Vietnam.
Photos posted by Rooters on Sunday showed Harris being greeted by Vivian Balakrishnan, Singapore's foreign affairs minister.
Harris left Washington on Friday night, boarding Air Force Two at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland before flying on to refueling stops in Alaska and Japan before arriving in Singapore.
The vice president is expected to use the trip to communicate U.S. views regarding China's growing power and influence in the region — including the communist regime’s efforts to take control of the South China Sea.

The longer I think about Kam's trip to Vietnam, the longer I suspect it was a cover for an 'off-site' get together between DOS seniors and Pacific regional reps facing a growing Chinese menace.

#5, the thought of Kamala Harris in a meeting like that is very disturbing. But I suppose we need to get used to it.

Or....am I hopeful, but helplessly naive ?
Could be, if The Afghan Plan was to begin an organized and controlled leave in earnest this week, today, and concluding by the 31st, with the last of the gunfighters out in time for a Sunday Night NFL Halftime Show, I'd think your optimism would be correct, as this would be a way to that those running the USA show are a controlling and calculating people who can shore up allies in the most desperate of locations: central Asia.
Even the cynic could see that such a move would at least raise their price. Obviously Singapore and Vietnam are both key locations in a counter-China policy, possibly drawing vacationers from Philippines, Australia, maybe even Malaysia and Indonesia?
Slightly off topic, there is a TV show out there called something like, "Diary of a Future President" where some 10 year old who looks suspiciously like a young Kamela. There are flash clips of what could be described as a civic minded 10 year old having adventures in school. The last scene in the montage if full of sexual intonations sounding suspiciously like favors brushed off as double entendre awkward youth moment.

I'm thinking it's an 'upclose review' by Chicom examiners prior to yanking the rug from under Biden. See how she interacts and maybe set up 'discreet' meets with contacts/ evaluators. Got to make sure she understands who is in control.

Two civilians were killed in #Iraq’s northern Kurdistan region by a Turkish army bombardment as forces battle the Kurdistan Workers’ Party rebels, local officials say.https://t.co/mFTvLmvdgH
The latest violence comes six days before a regional summit in Baghdad.
The Iraqi non-combatants were killed in Iraq’s Zakho district, an area bordering The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire... , said local mayor Farhad Mahmoud.
"They had gone to an area where it is advised not to go," Mahmoud said, adding that they were not from the area, but had been visiting from the city of djinn-infested Mosul ... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn... . "They were caught in a Ottoman Turkish bombing and died."
PKK fighters said festivities were ongoing Sunday.
Turkey has installed around a dozen military bases over the past 25 years in Iraq’s autonomous Kurdish region, and it launched a new cross-border offensive in April against the PKK, consisting of both aerial and ground attacks.
Residents of dozens of villages in the area have fled the conflict.

Reminds me of the lie that hydroxycloroquine is fish tank cleaner.
Ivermectin is is a very safe drug for humans. (Probably used in animals too, like a lot of drugs) The doctor who discovered it over 30 years ago was awarded the Nobel prize for it’s discovery. There is mounting evidence about it’s efficacy for Covid. That’s probably why they are doing such a hit job on it. If there is a pretty good, safe therapeutic then emergency use authorization for a “vaccine” is not needed. Perhaps also why there is a mad rush for full approval of the vaccine.
Here’s some peer reviewed science from the American Journal of Therapeutics:

FDA cannot legally issue an emergency approval of the vax if there are treatments available.
Also, this is blatantly dishonest. Ivermectin has human indications approved by the FDA. Like many drugs, it also happens to have veterinary indications.

'You are not a cow!'
ivermectin 'is not an anti-viral'
All nominally true, however...
Humans and cows are both mammals which means they have a lot in common, from gross physical anatomy down to cellular structures, and metabolic pathways.
Nobody said ivermectin was an anti-viral drug. If I understand correctly, it has an anti-inflamatory effect which comes in handy when dealing with parasites and other invaders.
Given all the bad public health messaging, I hope someone is taking notes because Covid is going to be a textbook case of how not to do public health.

SteveS: When Satoshi Omura went on youtube to talk about Ivermectin and antiviral properties, he got censored.
So... we're lied to continually by the Technogarches, told "shut up redneck..." but the censorship falls on a smart guy from one of the supposedly smart races with a Nobel Prize that he didn't get for a horse dewormer.
All of this shit is politics from the people who think politics is just another way to make war.

All we need to know it is working. I have seen the results myself. Works very fast as well(within 24 hours). So now they will shut it down to control people. First do no harm, yea right.

as with a lot of treatments, taking to high a dosage of ivermectin or taking it while also taking drugs which are antagonistic to ivermectin, e.g., blood thinners, could be dangerous
it is true that some studies are underway on use of ivermectin as a therapy for covid
it is true that some results of these studies are positive
it is true that studies take too long and this is frustrating

A multi-volume chronology and reference guide set detailing three years of the Mexican Drug War between 2010 and 2012.
Rantburg.com and borderlandbeat.com correspondent and author Chris Covert presents his first non-fiction work detailing
the drug and gang related violence in Mexico.
Chris gives us Mexican press dispatches of drug and gang war violence
over three years, presented in a multi volume set intended to chronicle the death, violence and mayhem which has
dominated Mexico for six years.
Rantburg was assembled from recycled algorithms in the United States of America. No
trees were destroyed in the production of this weblog. We did hurt some, though. Sorry.
