If malls were to instead employ armed gangs brandishing these face mask blasters, the number of people voluntarily wearing masks would undoubtedly dramatically rise.
I know the article is a bit tongue-in-cheek, but this last sentence is part of the disturbing trend calling this all voluntary when in fact people being shamed, assaulted, or threatened with disciplinary action into wearing a mask is anything but voluntary.
Our governess cat lady decreed the back to school rules called mask wearing voluntary compliance. To not wear a mask requires a doctor's note. That means it is not voluntary.

So it was hotter in 1913 and *this* is somehow a record?

[American Greatness] The object of hate is so often a remarkably beautiful woman or man. It is as if the aim is to forever obliterate perceived beauty considered unattainable.
On the Dark Continent, the same dynamic was in play when "Hutus picked up machetes to slash to bits nearly a million of their Tutsi neighbors in the 1994 Rwandan genocide." There,
. . . tribal allegiance trumps political persuasion and envy carries the day. The Tutsi—an alien, Nilotic African people, who formed a minority in Rwanda and Burundi—had always been resented by the Hutus. The tall, imposing Tutsis, whose facial features the lovely supermodel Iman instantiates, had dominated them on-and-off since the 15th Century. On a deeper level, contends Keith Richburg, an African-American journalist, the Hutus were "slashing at their own perceived ugliness, as if destroying this thing of beauty, this thing they could never really attain, removing it from the earth forever.
For America to have incorporated and assimilated the unreason of "racism" on such a self-immolating scale, as American society has done, is to be mired in self-contradiction. To the Greek philosophers, to be mired in self-contradiction was to be less than human, less than coherent, less than sane.
This is where American society finds itself: less than human, less than coherent, less than sane.
Patriots, please quit the "rest in peace" platitudes. Cannon Hinnant and all the rest rage, rage from the grave.

[Townhall] All across America, little girls of alternatively Tamil and Afro-Caribbean descent, depending on which is most politically useful at the moment, who have been endlessly told by unspecified haters that they can never be nominated to be vice president, were inspired at Kamala Harris' selection by whoever selected her on behalf of Grandpa Badfinger. Yes, if they hook up with a powerful married Democrat man, that initial connection can fuel their rise to power too.
Take that, all you modern-day Bull Connors (Connor was a Democrat, but shhhhhhh)! "I won't cotton to them little girls of alternatively Tamil and Afro-Caribbean descent, depending on which is most politically useful at the moment, thinkin' they can be vice president someday," they drawl as they twirl their mustaches. Well, Kamala showed all the haters. Girls of that oddly specific demographic can be nominated to be vice president, and let's take it one step further — they don't even have to hook up with a powerful married Democrat man and fuel their rise to power via that initial connection to do it! Well, sure Kamala did, and so did the ethnically uninteresting Felonia Milhous von Pantsuit, but those little girls can do it themselves. Well, maybe if they are Republicans.
[Breitbart] Former Oakland Raiders Superbowl Champion and Utah’s fourth congressional district candidate Burgess Owens told Breitbart News Saturday that America will have a "renaissance" under a second term of President Donald Trump and a Republican-controlled Congress.
Owens hopes to unseat Rep. Ben McAdams (D-UT) during the 2020 congressional elections.
Owens said that Joe Biden’s vice presidential nominee, Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA), has been "horrendous" to the black community.
"The more we know about Kamala Harris, the more we know that she has been horrendous, that she is totally not the person that any of us want to be leading our country," Owens told Breitbart News Saturday host Matthew Boyle.
[MAIL] The beachfront compound in Hawaii where former President Barack Obama reportedly plans to someday retire used a planning loophole to retain a seawall that is likely causing beach erosion, according to a new report.
State officials and community members confirmed to ProPublica that Obama plans to reside in the compound on Oahu, which was purchased for $8.7 million by his close friend Marty Nesbitt in 2015.
After tearing down the site's mansion made famous as the house from Magnum PI, developers are building three homes, two pools and a security perimeter on the three-acre beachfront parcel, permits show.
However, the century-old seawall on the property is set to remain, despite state policies designed to preserve Hawaii’s natural coastlines and environmental experts who say such structures cause coastal damage and beach erosion.

[The Hill] A woman was arrested this week after she allegedly hit an American Airlines employee at an airport in Arizona after she was barred from boarding for refusing to comply with the airline company’s mask policy, The Arizona Republic reports.
According to the newspaper, the incident took place on Wednesday at the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
The woman, 47-year-old Yolanda Yarbrough, had reportedly been bound for Las Vegas after flying into the airport from Los Angeles earlier in the day. During her earlier flight, airline employees had reportedly marked her ticket because she wouldn’t wear a mask. The airline employee obviously has no knowledge of entitlement.
American Airlines policy not only asks passengers to confirm their COVID-19 status before flying but also requires passengers ages 2 and above to wear face coverings when on board. Those who decline to wear a mask, as the policy states, could be "denied boarding and future travel on American."
The company told the Republic that the woman was informed that she would not be able to board the connecting flight to Las Vegas after arriving in Phoenix following the reported policy violation.
A company spokesperson told the newspaper that "the individual became irate and struck an American team member in the terminal."

You can say it's a one-hour flight. But when you add in the time it takes to drive to the airport, check your luggage, go through TSA, wait for your luggage at your destination's baggage carousel and deal with your destination's ground transportation it might add up to the same amount of time it takes to drive. Then you add the annoyance from your fellow passengers, the cramped seating, the airplane air and it's a wonder anybody flies at all.

[Washington Examiner] Veteran Fox News journalist Chris Wallace expressed befuddlement over Joe Biden's absence from the Sunday morning news show circuit ahead of this week's national convention.
"So I've been doing Sunday shows with conventions. I started on Meet the Press in 1988. I've been doing it on and off. For what? What is that? Thirty-two years. And it always happens that the Sunday before the convention," Wallace said this week on Fox News Radio. "The campaign puts out top officials to preview the convention and to say this is what we're gonna try to get accomplished. So, you know, we put counting all week on, you know, having a top official from the Biden campaign, the campaign manager, the top pollster, the chief strategist, to talk about what they're going to talk about during this next week. They are not putting anybody out."
Wallace said he at first thought, "Well, maybe it's because it's Fox News, and they're boycotting us."
"No, they're not putting anybody out on any of the Sunday shows point," Wallace said. "I don't understand what's going on here. This is the damnedest thing I've ever seen that you would you know, you're basically giving a campaign. And as I say, it's a traditional thing. We're gonna do it for the Republicans a week from Sunday. What are you trying to accomplish this week? And they, the Biden campaign, isn't putting anybody out."
President Trump and his Republican allies have attacked Biden for not conducting what they view as a sufficient amount of television interviews or holding any public events.
The Biden campaign has cited the coronavirus pandemic concerns as one of the reasons many of the former vice president's events and fundraisers have been virtual.

Al-Qaeda forces of Evil in war-torn Yemen executed a dentist accused of spying for the government and guiding US dronezaps targeting the Islamist murderous Moslems, a local official said on Sunday.
The jihadis shot Motthar al-Youssoufi, then crucified his corpse and left it outside his health centre, the official told AFP on condition of anonymity.
The execution took place on Saturday in Somaa, a district of Yemen's central al-Baida province, the official added.

The US has carried out a long-running drone campaign in Yemen.
The Sunni murderous Moslem group has thrived in the chaos of years of civil war between Yemen's Saudi-backed government and sock puppets of the Medes and the Persians who control the capital.
An AQAP video contained -- according to the organization -- a "confession" by the dentist to having worked with government security services, and to having placed microchips to guide US missile strikes.
AQAP operates in the al-Baida province -- which is under nominal government control -- after retreating from positions in the south and east of the country, the local official added.
The group plans to execute another Yemeni accused of spying, and is holding five more men and seven women also accused of espionage, the official said.
AQAP has carried out operations against both the Huthis and government forces, as well as sporadic attacks abroad.

[Rudaw] Donald Trump ...The man who was so stupid he beat fourteen professional politicians, a former tech CEO, and a brain surgeon for the Republican nomination in 2016, then beat The Smartest Woman in the World in the general election... said Saturday he will try a controversial "snapback" to force a return of UN sanctions against Iran, after the Security Council rejected Washington's bid to extend the arms embargo against the Islamic republic.
"We'll be doing a snapback," the president said, referring to the contested argument that the US remains a "participant" in the 2015 Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. They hate JewsZionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... nuclear deal — despite Trump's withdrawal from it — and therefore can force a return to sanctions if it sees Iran as being in violation of its terms.
The president added that the US will make its move next week.
Washington's defeat at the Security Council on Friday highlighted its isolation on Iran since Trump withdrew from the accord in 2018.
Only two of the Council's 15 members voted in favor of the US resolution.
Washington's European allies all abstained, Russia and China voted against it, and Iran mocked the Trump administration for winning the support of just one other country, the Dominican Republic.
Trump argued Saturday that Iran was a "different ballgame" now, and that the country no longer has the funds to sponsor terror.
"Iran wants me to lose so badly" in November's presidential election, he added.
If Trump follows through, the snapback could plunge the Council into one of its worst-ever diplomatic crises, experts warn.
European allies have been skeptical on whether Washington can force sanctions and say the attempt may delegitimize the Security Council.
The embargo on conventional arms is due to expire on October 18.
[Rudaw] One Katyusha rocket landed in Baghdad's Green Zone on Sunday night, according to a statement from the Iraqi Security Media Cell.
"The rocket was launched from al-Dhalal street, while the security forces found another two rockets which were prepared for launch in the same place, and were defused," the statement read.
Good job, guys.
The security media cell confirmed there were no casualties as a result of the attack.
A source inside the Green Zone, close to the US embassy compound, confirmed to Rudaw English that sirens went off after the rocket landed.
No group has grabbed credit for the attack.
This is the fourth consecutive night in a row that rocket attacks have taken place across Iraq.
Two rockets landed near Taji military base, north of Baghdad on Saturday night, while three Katyusha rockets landed inside the vicinity of Baghdad International Airport on Friday. Three Katyusha rockets also landed inside al-Balad air base in Salahaddin province, which houses Iraq’s F-16 jets, late Thursday, according to the media cell.
The last rocket attack reported inside Baghdad’s Green Zone was on Tuesday night, which also resulted in no casualties.
The US has attributed past rocket attacks on sites of international importance in the Green Zone to Iran-backed militias, who it says are looking to further inflame US-Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Sunday’s attack is the latest of several rocket attacks targeting the Green Zone after Iraqi Counter Terrorism Service (ICTS) personnel raided the headquarters of the Iran-backed Kataib Hezbollah militia in Baghdad province on June 26, detaining at least 14 fighters of the group, who were accused of recent rocket attacks in the capital.
Multiple attacks on military bases hosting US troops have taken place since the raid, notably Taji base.
[NYPOST] New York City’s latest bloody week of gunfire saw 76 people injured, including 14 murdered — with almost two-and-a-half times more shootings than the same week last year, according to police sources. As of 7 a.m., the previous week saw 62 separate shootings — a dramatic rise over the 26 during the same week last year, sources said.
Among the 76 hurt in the latest surge of gunplay, there were 14 murders — again more than the 10 for the same period in 2019, the sources said.
The latest fatalities included a man who was rubbed out just after 2 a.m. at the entrance of Brooklyn’s Prospect Park, NYPD sources said.
Photos showed a distraught woman comforting a man dressed all in white who appeared to have collapsed in grief as others soon gathered around a body being carried off in a stretcher.
It continued a particularly bloody weekend that had already seen at least 11 people shot overnight from Friday until Saturday morning, with four fatalities — including 28-year-old city Correction Officer John Jeff who was bumped off at a party in Queens.

[FOXNEWS] The New York Police Department (NYPD) union faced blowback from local Democrats after it endorsed President Trump’s reelection amid budget cuts and tensions between police and city politicians. On Friday night, Trump spoke to members of the New York City Police Benevolent Association (PBA), an organization that represents 24,000 officers, at his golf club in Bedminster, N.J. Trump was formally endorsed by the group.
PBA President Pat Lynch said it was the first time he could recall the group ever endorsing a president.
"I have 36 years on this job, 21 as the president of this fine organization. I cannot remember when we’ve ever endorsed for Office of the President of the United States, until now. That's how important this is," Lynch said.

Rooters also reported that La Belle France that has asked the Afghan government not to release Taliban fighters convicted of killing French citizens.
Before the start of the process, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison said last week he had lobbied for a former Afghan army soldier, who went rogue and killed three Australian colleagues, to stay in jail, according to a report by Al Jazeera.
"There is some criticism against (the release) of some prisoners, a limited number of prisoners, but we hope that intra-Afghan negotiations should not be delayed. The Afghan government is trying to overcome the issue in a way to maintain the current opportunity and our relations with the international community," Khwazoon said.
Sources within the government said that the Taliban has not released more than 20 Afghan commandos but sources within the Taliban said the group will not release them until the release of their 400 prisoners. The Taliban has also said that they will not attend the intra-Afghan talks until the release of 400 prisoners is completed, said the sources.
"The Afghan government is claiming that their 20 commandos are in Taliban custody. Meanwhile, ...back at the revival hall, the congregants were being herded into the paddy wagon... Australia has criticized the release of the three (Taliban) prisoners and La Belle France has has listed six others. The US is in talks with La Belle France and Australia to convince them and to open the way for the release of the prisoners," said Khalil Safi, former country director of Pugwash Conferences on Science and World Affairs, an international crisis group.
Critics said such positions against the release of the six prisoners is a new hurdle in the way of the intra-Afghan negotiations, which are expected to be held in Doha.
"I am sorry that we are in a country that freeing prisoners involved in the killing of 10 to 15 foreigners is criticized but in Afghanistan we have lost thousands of our youth, but we released 5,000 individuals," said Nilofar Ibrahimi, an MP.
[Dhaka Tribune] The trial for 10 year old schoolboy Abdus Salam’s murder, is yet to make any significant progress, although so many years have passed since the incident took place in 2005.
Fifteen years? The mills of justice are grinding slowly, indeed.
The sensational murder case is pending at the Second Additional District and Sessions Judges Court in Dhaka due to the frequent non appearance of witnesses in this sensational case.
Court sources say prosecution witnesses have not been appearing in court for their depositions for quite some time, though the court has issued arrest warrants for them. Even the police have failed to produce the witnesses leaving the trial pending in court.
For a speedy conclusion of the case, the High Court directed the trial court to dispose of the case within six months on March 13, 2013. The time frame given by the high court has expired but the trial has seen no significant progress.
According to the case statement, schoolboy Abdus Salam, 10, died in a kaboom in front of his home in Sobujbagh of Savar in the outskirts of Dhaka. The August 17, 2005, bombing is attributed to the banned krazed killer group, Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB).
After the incident, the victim’s father Ramjan Ali, filed a case with Savar cop shoppe.
On July 13, 2006, Sub Inspector Nasiruddin of Savar cop shoppe submitted a charge sheet to the court accusing 13 JMB men including Rafiqul Islam, Ataur Rahman Sanny, Anwar Hossain, and Hafiz Billah.
On July 2, 2008, the court indicted the 13 bandidosDeath Eaters and the trial against the accused started on June 4, 2009. Since then the court has recorded the depositions of only 11 out of 25 prosecution witnesses in the case.
Lastly, on October 31, 2013, the court recorded the deposition of a witness but since then no witness has appeared before the court to provide a deposition in the case.
"We also want to dispose of the case but the case trial is being delayed due to the non-appearance of witnesses," defence counsel Advocate Faruk Ahamed told Dhaka Tribune.
Talking to this correspondent, Shakila Jaismin Mitu, public prosecutor of the Second Additional District and Sessions Judges Court said: "We are trying to dispose of the case but the witnesses are not appearing for depositions despite summons and arrest warrants being issued. What can we do if a witness does not come to court for a deposition?"

[BEACONJOURNAL] An 8-year-old girl was shot to death late Friday night during a backyard teen birthday party in Akron. Akron police identified the girl Saturday afternoon as Mikayla Pickett.
An Akron Public Schools front man said Mikayla was a student at Portage Path Community Learning Center.
The shooting took place in the 700 block of Roselle Avenue near Manchester Road, where officers responded to reports of gunfire about 11:48 p.m. Friday, police said.
The girl was found with an apparent gunshot wound and was taken to Akron Children’s Hospital, where she later died.
Police said there was a large gathering of teens at the home, and it appears the shots came from outside.
No arrests had been made as of Saturday afternoon. Akron police said detectives are working to identify suspects.
The Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct an autopsy.
Willie Walker, 62, said he was hosting an outdoor birthday party Friday night for his 15-year-old grandson in his backyard when the shooting happened.
Walker, who has lived at the home for 32 years, was inside the house when the gunfire started.
"All hell broke out," he said. "I don’t know what the hell happened."
He said about three or four people showed up at the property and started shooting at family members and friends who were at the party.
Walker said he did not know the girl who died.
Another neighbor who has lived at her house since 1973 said she thought the girl lived a block away.
Walker said coppers found multiple shell casings at the scene.
"I don’t know know how many shells they took," he said. "A lot of them."
The neighbor, who declined to give her name, said a couple of windows were shot out at the home of her son, who lives next door to her.
"I heard I don’t know how many shots," she said. She said when she felt safe enough to look outside, she expected, based on the gunfire, to see a lot of bodies on the ground.
She said there was another shooting in the neighborhood Wednesday or Thursday, when someone fired into another home on the street. She also found two shell casings in her driveway last week.
[NYPOST] A state bureaucrat wants to mandate 500 hours of training for anyone who shampoos hair at a beauty salon or barbershop — but something about her push for the bizarre new requirement just doesn’t wash.
That’s because she is also a beauty school owner, The Post has found, as is a second member of the state board that licenses salon workers.
A third person on the panel runs a membership and lobbying group for the cosmetology school industry.
That’s out of four total board members.
If their training-before-shampooing mandate passes, hair washers would have to spend an average of $13,354 on beauty school each to secure a "shampoo assistant" license.

[EN.ANNAHAR] The U.S. wants tighter cooperation on developing gas finds in the "strategically significant" eastern Mediterranean and supports Cyprus’ right to exploit hydrocarbon deposits discovered in its waters, a senior U.S. State Department official said Sunday.
U.S. Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs David Hale said hydrocarbon development would aim to "provide durable energy security and economic prosperity throughout the Mediterranean," according to the U.S. Embassy in Cyprus.
The statement was issued after Hale met with Cypriot Foreign Minister Nikos Christodoulides to discuss the eastern Mediterranean’s "growing strategic significance" as well as recent developments in the region, including the devastating Aug. 4 blast in Leb ...an Iranian colony situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Militants stormed a high-end seaside hotel in Mogadishu on Sunday, killing at least seven people and injuring more than 20, in the second attack by Islamist insurgents on a highly fortified target in the Somali capital this week.
Militant group al Shabaab claimed the attack on the Elite Hotel in Lido beach, which started with a suicide car bombing. Its gunmen later battled security forces.
The hotel is owned by Abdullahi Mohamed Nor, a lawmaker, and ex-finance minister and frequented by many government officials, government workers, and people from the Somali diaspora.
“There were officials of (President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo’s) government inside the hotel when we attacked,” said a statement broadcast on al Shabaab’s Radio Andalus.

[Cincinnati.com] Police confirm 17 people were maimed and identified four who were dead after four separate shootings in the city of Cincinnati early Sunday.
The shootings stretched from Over-the-Rhine to Walnut Hills to Avondale to the West End:
Officers said they responded to a shooting in the area of 70 E. McMicken Ave. in Over-the-Rhine and found several people with gunshot wounds, including one dead. Police identified two of the dead as Robert Rogers, 34, and Jaquiez Grant, 30. "We do believe with this singular incident we have 10 individuals (who) were shot and a possible two fatal," Assistant Police Chief Paul Neudigate said.

"It depends," Aoun said when asked by French TV station BFMTV if Lebanon would reach a peace deal with Israel following a deal last week establishing full diplomatic relations between the Israel and United Arab Emirates.
The deal brokered by the U.S. required Israel to halt its contentious plan to annex West Bank land sought by the Paleostinians for a future state.
"We have problems with Israel that we need to solve first," Aoun said in an interview aired late Saturday. Lebanon and Israel are technically still at war, and Hezbollah has engaged in occasional festivities along the border. Hezbollah and Israel last engaged in a full-fledged conflict in a 50-day war in the summer of 2006.

Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn... , Libya’s capital, set the United Arab Emirates’ embassy on fire in protest at Abdu Dhabi’s decision to normalize ties with the Zionist regime of Israel.
Photos have been circulated in social media of the embassy after the fire was put out, arabi21 website reported.
A much-condemned deal was recently signed between Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The deal was announced on Thursday.
US President Donald Trump ...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States... , who apparently helped broker the deal, has attempted to paint it as a big breakthrough.
The move has drawn strong criticism from many Islamic countries and regional organizations.
The UAE is now the third Arab country, after Egypt and Jordan, to normalize with Israel. Abu Dhabi was already believed to have clandestine relations with Tel Aviv.

[YAHOO] Philadelphia coppers evaded bullets while attempting to reach injured victims when multiple people wielding guns shot up a Saturday night block party that drew up to 300 revelers, authorities said.
Quarantining and hunkering down are definitely over.
At least five people, including three teenagers, were maimed in the shooting that erupted near a playground in the Poplar neighborhood of North Philadelphia around 11:30 p.m., Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw said at a news conference early Sunday morning.
Outlaw said coppers were nearby on patrol and rushed to the chaotic scene when they heard shots and saw what appeared to be gun-muzzle flashes from multiple weapons.
No officers were maimed in the incident, but police officials said officers initially came under fire as they tried to reach those maimed. The first officers to arrive at the scene immediately called for backup, officials said.
The victims ranged in age from 16 to 26, police said. All were treated for non-life-threatening injuries, including three who were taken to a hospital, police said.
Police found numerous gun shell casings littering the scene, officials said.
Outlaw said no arrests were made and asked for the public's help in identifying the shooters.
"There were a lot of people out here," Outlaw said. "We do believe that someone knows who the shooters were and could possibly help us in identifying and figuring out exactly what happened."
The block-party shooting came a week after 25 people were shot last weekend in Philadelphia, including two 11-year-olds at a playground near the Philadelphia Zoo.

However, man does not live by words alone, despite the fact that sometimes he has to eat them... an unnamed Iranian government official told the Islamic Theocratic Republic News Agency (IRNA) that no Iranian tanker or cargo has been seized.
They added, "The Islamic Theocratic Republic of Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. [EN.ALGHADEER.TV] High Representative of the European Union ...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing... (EU) for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, on Sunday urged The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the decaying remnant of the Ottoman Empire... to immediately end renewed drilling activities in the Eastern Mediterranean.
"I call on the Ottoman Turkish authorities to end these activities immediately and to engage fully and in good faith in a broad dialogue with the European Union," he said in a statement.
The statement was issued after Ankara announced on Saturday that it will resume drilling activities by the Yavuz vessel, an ultra-deepwater drillship, in a maritime zone that has been delineated by Cyprus and Egypt.
Borrell said the move "regrettably fuels further tensions and insecurity in the Eastern Mediterranean" and "runs counter and undermines efforts to resume dialogue and negotiations, and to pursue immediate de-escalation."
In an urgent meeting convened by Borrell on Friday, the foreign ministers of EU member states considered the recent naval mobilizations by Turkey would "lead to greater antagonism and distrust" and supported Borrell to re-establish dialogue and facilitate re-engagement with Turkey.
The High Representative will also prepare "options on further appropriate measures in case tensions do not abate," according to the Council of the EU.

The Island State of Cyprus is located where its south facing coast is directly opposite the north coast of Egypt. In 2003 these two States signed a bilateral agreement to delimit their overlapping Exclusive Economic Zone entitlements in the Mediterranean. The boundary was based on the equidistance methodology, and it extends for 155 M from an area in the west where it will someday need to establish its tripoint with Greece, eastward until reaching its tripoint with Israel. [NYPOST] More than two dozen protesters were arrested over festivities with cops in reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown ...home of Al Capone, the Chicago Black Sox, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel... and Seattle Saturday as civil unrest over police brutality continued across the country.Heated protests were reported in Chicago, where 24 demonstrators were arrested, according to WGN9.
Youth activist groups organized in downtown Chicago, where they were peppered sprayed as they demanded the defunding of the city’s police department and the abolishment of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
One of the groups, Good Kids, Mad City, posted to Twitter that two of their organizers were "beaten and arrested." A video from the group appears to show officers kettling protesters on the street.
"Cops are separating & surrounding protesters! They won’t let people leave!" the group wrote on Twitter.
Four of the 24 arrests in the city were for felony battery of cops, David Brown, the superintendent of the CPD, said during a news briefing Saturday night.
Two protesters and 17 officers were treated for injuries, according to the department.
"An officer was beaten in the head several times with a skateboard," Brown said.
The violence started later Saturday afternoon when "multiple agitators hijacked" what were until then peaceful protests, Brown said as he defended the response from cops.
"To protect the peaceful protesters, as well as their fellow officers, our officers responded proportionately to get the situation under control," he said.
In Seattle, three people were arrested Friday night after a group of 100 or so protesters broke windows and graffitied storefronts in the Capitol Hill neighborhood, which has been the epicenter of the city’s demonstrations, the Seattle Times reported.
Windows were broken at T-Mobile and UPS stores along the city’s Broadway. Graffiti on the UPS reportedly read "Support the USPS," a reference to the beleaguered postal service.
Democrats have accused President Trump of working to handicap the agency to prevent mail-in ballots during the November election.
"This is not the way to support the USPS," one UPS employee told the Times. "We take USPS packages. We ship for the USPS."

[Rudaw] US-led coalition troops transferred control of an ammunition supply point inside Taji military base in northern Baghdad to Iraqi security forces (ISF) on Sunday, according to a coalition spokesperson.
"The Coalition transferred approximately 50 ammunition storage bunkers, and associated secure facilities, to full Iraqi control," read a statement from Col.Myles B Caggins III.
The statement also revealed that the supply point is the "primary storage facility" for the anti-Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... (ISIS) mission in Iraq.
"In 2020, more than $11 million of ammunition inside the ASP was divested to the ISF as part of the Coalition’s Counter-ISIS Train and Equipment Fund," the statement added.
Caggins confirmed that the coalition maintains a "small presence" at the base.
Baghdad invited the US-led international coalition to intervene in Iraq in 2014 as ISIS seized control of vast areas of northern Iraq and neighbouring Syria. Some 7,500 foreign troops formed part of the 81-country coalition; over 5,000 of them were American.
But with ISIS territorially defeated in Iraq in 2017, US military presence in the country has met increasing opposition, particularly from Iran-backed militias and political parties.
Bases hosting US military personnel have come under repeated rocket attack by militias closely linked to Tehran.
In recent months, the coalition has withdrawn from several Iraqi bases and repositioned troops after successes in the campaign to defeat ISIS and to protect personnel amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The last base to be transferred to the ISF by the US-led coalition was Besmaya military base, southwest of Baghdad, last month.
[American Thinker] When Stacey Abrams was running for Georgia governor, she had an impressive list of social changes she wanted to make. People paying their bills didn’t make the cut.
Abrams was $228,000 in debt during her 2017 campaign for Georgia governor, including $50,000 to I.R.S. Despite that, she managed to loan her campaign $50,000. She also owed $76,000 in credit card debt and $96,000 for Yale Law School.
Abrams claimed that family obligations and a misunderstanding of how credit cards worked as the reason for her financial mess. This from a woman who is a tax attorney who wanted to be the vice president of the United States.

So, this broad is (unbelievably) a tax attorney (stifle the laughter, Raj!) with a poor understanding of monetary theory and practice (mostly practice) but knew enough to try and claim her parents as dependents, then jacked up the Schedule A medical deductions and never considered the DIF score on that return. The kick documented in Skid's #3 is potentially a turning point, one way or the other. It is the textbook definition of attempted murder. If the local DA doesn't meaningfully prosecute this (felony charges, jail time), then he won't prosecute anything.

A collection of multinational and multilingual and multicultural armed forces, all of differing capabilities, working toward a common goal by pulling in different directions... and the Afghan government including the watchtowers, control towers, some fire department services and weather forecasting.
Transfer of this process to a single party was delayed in 2014 and Afghanistan was given full authority over the airspace in 2015, the aviation authority said.
"In the first months of the transitional process, Afghan forces will fully be given the control of Kandahar and Nangarhar The unfortunate Afghan province located adjacent to Mohmand, Kurram, and Khyber Agencies. The capital is Jalalabad. The province was the fief of Younus Khalis after the Soviets departed and one of his sons is the current provincial Taliban commander. Nangarhar is Haqqani country.. airports said the general director of Afghan Civil Aviation Authority, Qasem Wafayezada said on Saturday.
Wafayezada also stated that this transfer is a challenge and requires additional and alternative capacities.
"The capacity building sessions will be carried out in technical sections of the airport, but maintenance towers will require practical training and further capacity building sessions", Wafayezada said.
[KhaamaPress] The Afghan National Defense and Security Forces repulsed a Taliban ...mindless ferocity in a turban... attack in South-eastern Ghazni province, killing at least four Talibs.
The Special Operations Corps in a statement said a group of Talibs attacked the security posts in Arzoo Kalan area located in the scenic provincial capital of Ghazni.
The statement further added that the Afghan forces effectively responded to the attack and killed at least four of the assailants.
The Taliban group has not commented regarding the incident so far.
Ghazni is among the relatively volatile provinces in South-east of Afghanistan where Talibs have active presence in some of its restive districts.

[BREITBART] Cologne ...the largest city in North Rhine-Westphalia and the fourth populated city in Germany.... University students have donated at least €8,500 from their student fees towards a far-left holy warriorAntifa ...the armed wing of the Democratic Party... group which is under observation by the German security services.
The Cologne General Students’ Committee (AStA) has donated thousands of euros since at least 2010 to the Antifa AK holy warrior group, according to budget documents. Following the revelation, the local Green University group expressed their full support for Antifa.
"Antifa AK is the student body, and the student body is Antifa!" the Green group wrote on Facebook. It added that Antifa AK was "a working group of the student body of the University of Cologne and thus an integral part of it", Die Welt reports.

The USSR never died, even despite them being more harmful than the National Socialists.
[EN.ALGHADEER.TV] The front man for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasool, announced on Sunday, the arrest of the "most dangerous terrorist" who participated in the Camp Speicher massacre.
Rasoul said in a statement, "The anti-terrorism forces were able, through field follow-up and months of efforts, to arrest the terrorist, who is considered one of the most dangerous Lions of Islam who participated in the Camp Speicher massacre", adding that the arrest took place in Saladin governorate.
Rasool noted that the operation came, "according to the directives of the Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mustafa al-Kadhimi", pointing that the counterterrorism forces also managed to arrest, "two Lions of Islam in Nineveh and Saladin governorates"
ISIS had committed a massacre against students of the military college known as the Camp Speicher in Saladin governorate, as about 1,700 soldiers and students were executed, in one of the most horrific massacres during its invasion of northern and western Iraq in the summer of 2014.
On June 12, 2014, about 1,566 Shiite cadets undergoing training at the camp in Tikrit ...birthplace of Saddam Hussein... were executed by ISIS bully boys, who had initially promised them safe passage.
Camp Speicher, which is currently named Majid al-Timimi air base, is located in the town of Tikrit, approximately 170 kilometers north of Baghdad.
More than 50 people accused of taking part in the massacre have already been sentenced to death by Iraqi authorities. Thirty-six of them were hanged in August 2016.
[DAILYWIRE] reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown ...home of Al Capone, the Chicago Black Sox, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel... police were ready for a massive protest in the city’s downtown that quickly went out of control Saturday night, arresting at least two dozen demonstrators who, Chicago mayor Lori Lightfoot ...the diminutive and vacuous Heronner da Mare of Chicago. When the corpse count rises she blames the guns, which are banned anyway... said, came prepared for a fight.
Chicago coppers were following a large protest, hosted by several "anti-racism" and "anti-police brutality groups" — though not Chicago’s chapter of Black Lives Matter — that began on the city’s lakefront and then threatened to move north toward the city’s "Magnificent Mile" shopping district, which is still reeling from looting and rioting early last week.
After one officer was hit with a skateboard and another punched, the demonstration erupted into a clash between Chicago police and protesters, which ended with protesters being "kettled" and allowed out of the city’s downtown "Loop" business district only one at a time.
Sunday morning, CPD released footage of the altercation that set off the clash.
The video shows protesters advancing toward police on Michigan Avenue.
"Tensions flared near Randolph and Dearborn, where officers in riot gear were seen shoving protesters back with their shields, some of them hitting demonstrators with batons. Other video showed protesters hitting coppers with a skateboard and other objects," WGN News reported. "It was just one of several heated moments Saturday night as CPD bicycle officers formed perimeters near Lake and Michigan. The bridges were raised over the Chicago River to try to keep the protesters from advancing through the Loop."
Other social media videos show the police response. United in a single line with Police Superintendent David Brown at the lead, officers advanced on the protesters, pressing them first to the south and then to the west, until the demonstration was surrounded. Protesters were then released from the "kettle" one by one after being searched for weapons.
Police blocked any exit from Michigan Avenue to the south with a line of police horses and patrolled the riverfront for stragglers trying to leave the protest by climbing down below street level and traveling along the Chicago River.
The protesters complained late Saturday that several demonstrators had been "unconstitutionally" arrested and were in CPD custody. Chicago police say they arrested 24 individuals who are believed to have taken part in attacks on officers.
"During a presser Saturday night, Supt. David Brown said 24 arrests were made, including four felony arrests for battery of officers," WGN continued. "Two protesters were treated for injuries and 17 officers were treated for injuries, CPD said."
"An officer was beaten in the head several times with a skateboard," Brown told news hounds. "This group deployed large black umbrellas, changed their appearance, and began pushing our officers and eventually assaulting them."
According to a social media post made by groups "Increase the Peace," "BLCK Rising," and "Good Kids/Mad City" — the same group whose leadership claimed last week that looting was a form of "reparations" — protesters were demanding that the Chicago Police Department leave Chicago public schools, that Chicago cancels an "ICE citizens academy," that the city defunds the police department and allocate resources to "e-learning and community centers," and that Chicago’s private colleges break their ties with ICE.
Chicago mayor Lori Lightfoot was unapologetic over Saturday night’s events.
"What we’ve seen is people who have embedded themselves in these seemingly peaceful protests and have come for a fight," Lightfoot told CBS’s "Face the Nation" Sunday. "What happened yesterday was really over very quickly because our police department has resolved to make sure that we protect peaceful protests, but we are absolutely not going to tolerate people who come to these protests looking for a fight and are intending to injure our coppers and injure innocent people who have just come to express their First Amendment rights."

Consider what the anonymous actuary analysts are doing at all the insurance companies. Even for homeowner insurance, let alone business, imagine the premiums or the new peril exemptions you will need to accept if you stay in these sh*tholes...
[JonathanTurley] I recently wrote a column discussing how Democratic leaders, including Vice President Joe Biden, have argued against continuing the investigation by U.S. Attorney John Durham despite growing evidence of misconduct by Justice Department officials and now the first guilty plea by former FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith. Now, Andrew Weissmann, one of the top prosecutors with Special Counsel Robert Mueller, has derided the Clinesmith plea while actually calling on Justice Department attorneys to refuse to help on ongoing investigations that could implicate aspects of his own prior work.
What an idiot.
I was among those who expressed concern when Mueller selected Weissmann due to his history of controversial prosecutorial decisions, including a pattern of prosecutorial overreach in the Enron litigation.
Weissmann’s recent statements (made before the release of his new book on the Russian investigation) have only served to reaffirm those concerns.
Recently, Weissmann wrote an extraordinary and disturbing New York Times op-ed (with former Defense Department special counsel Ryan Goodman). In the column, he appeared to call on Justice Department lawyers to undermine the Durham investigation as well as the investigation by U.S. Attorney John Bash’s investigation into the "unmasking" requests by Obama administration officials. They wrote "Justice Department employees in meeting their ethical and legal obligations, should be well advised not to participate in any such effort."
Consider that line for a moment. Weissmann is openly calling on attorneys to refuse to help on investigations that could raise questions about his own decisions. Durham is looking at a pattern errors, false statements, bias, and now criminal conduct in the Russian investigation. There is obviously overlap with the Mueller investigation which discussed many of the same underlying documents and relied on work by some of the same individuals. The failure to address misconduct, bias, or criminal conduct by such individuals would be embarrassing to both Weissmann and Mueller. Despite that obvious conflict of interest, Weissmann is calling on attorneys to stand down.
It is the same troubling position that was once taken by Sally Yates, who told an entire federal agency not to assist the President in his travel ban.
After Weissmann called on Justice Department attorneys not to assist investigations by the Justice Department, Durham disclosed that the first guilty plea would be entered by Clinesmith. That would ordinarily cause embarrassment for someone who was calling for DOJ lawyers to effectively hinder the investigation. Not Weissmann. He has now attacked the criminal plea.
Weissmann mocked Attorney General Bill Barr to explain the difference between the Flynn plea and the Clinesmith plea....
....Weissmann's public effort to derail the Durham investigation and his distortion of the Clinesmith guilty plea only reinforces the view of many of us that the Durham investigation must be completed and made public. Despite saying that I did not believe that Mueller would find crimes of collusion or conspiracy with the Russians, I supported the Special Counsel investigation. I also supported the Horowitz investigation and the Durham investigation. The reason is the same. I believe that the public needs to have a full and transparent account of what happened in the Russian investigation on both sides. Like many, Weissmann would like transparency on only one side and to shutdown the Durham investigation despite Horowitz referring matters for criminal investigation and finding a host of false statements, errs, and professional misconduct. Even the addition of a criminal plea has not stopped Weissmann from denouncing this investigation.
For years, I have criticized Weissmann's record of dubious prosecutorial judgment, bias, and overreach. However, that case against Weissmann is not nearly as powerful as the case he is making against himself.
#11
Imagine if we had a Republican-controlled Senate that would confirm Trump replacements for all the dug-in Obama leftovers that Weismann is signalling.

[ToloNews] Afghanistan’s army on Sunday conducted a military exercise in Spin Boldak district, Kandahar province, near the Durand Line, the de facto border between Afghanistan and Pakistain, a crossing that has witnessed festivities between the security and defense forces of both countries in recent years.
According to the Afghan Defense Ministry, on July 31 at least nine non-combatants were killed and 50 others were maimed in Pak forces artillery attacks on "residential areas" in Spin Boldak district.
Military tanks, helicopters and heavy and light weapons were used in the military exercise by the Afghan National Army forces, which was attended by the Chief of Army Staff Gen. Yasin Zia.
Gen. Zia pledged that Afghan forces are ready to thwart any threat against the people of Afghanistan.
"This time it was a military exercise so we can detect our problems... We are strengthening our strong areas and will work on our weak points to change them into strength. Some reports are exaggerated, but the shelling that is done to us, we have directed our forces that we will not leave our people alone," he said.
A similar military exercise was conducted in Goshta district, Nangarhar The unfortunate Afghan province located adjacent to Mohmand, Kurram, and Khyber Agencies. The capital is Jalalabad. The province was the fief of Younus Khalis after the Soviets departed and one of his sons is the current provincial Taliban commander. Nangarhar is Haqqani country.. , near the Durand Line on Friday. The district has faced many rocket attacks by Pak forces over the last few years.
"We say that we are still strong, and we will respond to Pakistain anytime as we have done in the past. We have defeated it 10 times and we will defeat it 100 times more. These forces are the lions of Afghanistan," said Sharifullah, commander of 4th battalion of border forces.
"I am ready always to defend my country," said Shaheen, an Afghan soldier.
"We are here at Spin Boldak near the Durand Line. We are always ready to defend our flag and our soil," said Adil, an Afghan soldier.
A big number of Kandahar residents were seen in the area watching the military exercise.
"We can fight directly with Pakistain as we have trust in our forces," said Naqibullah, a Kandahar resident.
"We have an army, we have an air force and we have ground forces... They are improving day-by-day," said Mohammad Daud, a Kandahar resident.
[Dhaka Tribune] Police have arrested six people over the murder of a readymade garment (RMG) trader in Manikganj in mid-July.
The suspects were identified as Farhad Hossain, Jalal Uddin Sumon, Kazi Akbar Ali, Saharul Islam, Aminul Islam and Monir.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Detective Branch (DB) Gulshan division arrested the suspects between August 6 and Saturday night. They also seized two jackets with Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) logos, handcuffs, walkie-talkies, an ambulance, a pistol and bullets.
RMG trader Sultan Hossain lived in a flat at Nakhalpara, Dhaka and his body was found hidden in a bush on July 16. The trader’s brother filed a case with Singair cop shoppe two days later.
Moshiur Rahman, deputy commissioner of DB Gulshan division, said the members of the gang would observe transactions at the banking area in Motijheel and target people who made large withdrawals.
They targeted Sultan in Motijheel on July 14 and followed him with a rented ambulance, as they had information that he had withdrawn a large amount in foreign currency.
The gang kidnapped Sultan from the Pallabi area of Mirpur by posing as members of RAB. They then took him into the ambulance and searched him for the foreign currency but did not find anything.
At one stage, Sultan began shouting for help and the abductors suffocated him inside the ambulance, according to the deputy commissioner.
After conducting a shadow investigation, DB arrested Farhad from Sakhipur, Shariatpur on August 6. Farhad confessed to the murder and detectives raided Dhaka Medical College Hospital and Paltan based on the information he provided, leading to the other arrests.

[BREITBART] Michigan clerks rejected 10,694 mailed ballots during the August 4 primary.Of those, 846 ballots were not accepted "because the voter was dead," the bankrupt, increasingly impoverished, reliably Democrat, Detroit ... ruled by Democrats since 1962. A city whose Golden Age included the Purple Gang... News reported.
Further, 2,225 ballots were denied because there was no voter signature on the envelope, and 1,111 votes were discarded because the voter moved to a new address after submitting the ballot. The state claimed the dead voters died between the time they submitted the ballot and when it was counted.
Michigan’s largest city, Detroit, received 820 ballots that were ultimately rejected, according to the paper.
Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson is demanding the legislature pass a bill requiring city and township clerks to call voters who have obvious flaws with their ballot, such as a missing signature. If you can't follow simple instructions, you're too stupid to vote
"With turnout and absentee ballot numbers expected to double or even triple in November, we could be looking at tens of thousands of Michigan citizens disenfranchised if the legislature again fails to act," she said.
Meanwhile, ...back at the wreckage, Captain Poindexter awoke groggily, his hand still stuck in the Ming vase... more than 223,000 ballots were "undeliverable" in Clark County, Nevada, the Review-Journal reported.
The state opted for an all-mail election and "Clark County mailed ballots to all — not just active — voters, in part because of legal pressure from state and national Democrats," according to the paper.
Clark County mailed 1,325,934 ballots, and nearly as many were undeliverable as returned: 223,469 and 305,000, respectively.
The Review-Journal noted 58 percent of the undeliverable ballots "belonged to inactive voters."
"According to county records, 92,337 of the undeliverable ballots belonged to Democrats, 53,129 came from Republicans and 78,003 were identified as nonpartisan or third party," the outlet reported.
In April, the Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF) estimated 28 million mail ballots "went missing" over the last decade.
"Putting the election in the hands of the United States Postal Service would be a catastrophe. Over the recent decade, there were 28 million missing and misdirected ballots," PILF President and General Counsel J. Christian Adams said.

em>In July 1974, Turkish forces invaded and captured 3% of the island before a ceasefire was declared. The Greek military junta collapsed and was replaced by a democratic government. In August 1974 another Turkish invasion resulted in the capture of approximately 37% of the island. The Dems have a Hobson's choice--basically no choice at all. You vote for what is placed before you or not at all.
Biden and Harris are not a very attractive ticket. for Dems or the country. The polls are basically suppression polls. The Dems will have to do a lot of rigging to push this couple over the finish line.

They can report any number they want. There is no way to verify until we vote. So for now this is all push polling to discourage the 'enemy'. A few days before the election the numbers will change dramatically so that the pollsters can brag about how 'accurate' they were.

[NYPOST] Two men were caught on video as they yanked an ATM out of an East Village deli — a crime the bodega industry says is on the rise in the city."We get robbed, we get killed, we are assaulted, but this is a new thing," said Jose Dario Collado, the owner of Yankee Deli & Grocery on Avenue C near East 11th Street that got raided in the early hours Friday.
Reemergence of an old thing, actually, but all the old pathologies are reappearing that result when the police are hobbled.
"Looting is in style and there is nothing we can do about it," he said, saying the pair caught on camera "assaulted" his bodega and "left damages totaling thousands of dollars."
Hire night guards armed with shotguns — that’s the only way to prevent such things when the police stay in their stations.
"Who will pay me? The City? The Mayor? The Small Business Administration?" Collado asked. "I want answers."
Video shows a man in black sweats — his face obscured by his hood — attaching a chain to the ATM as another man, in red pants a dark T-shirt, waits by a white van with its rear doors open. It was not clear how much cash was in it at the time.
The NYPD did not immediately release data on how many such robberies have happened.

[Rudaw] Baghdad and Erbil agreed on Saturday to jointly manage border crossings in the Kurdistan Region as part of an agreement securing 320 billion dinars ($268 million) per month from Baghdad to the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) in order for the KRG to pay its civil servants.
According to a document obtained by Rudaw from a Council of Ministers official on Sunday, both Erbil and Baghdad reached an agreement to resolve a number of outstanding issues between both governments. The document consists of seven points, including the agreement on the border crossings in the Kurdistan Region, as well as outstanding debts owed by the KRG.
Baghdad agreed with Erbil to jointly run border crossings in the KRG by establishing a "team" from both the federal government and KRG. The border crossings will follow federal "guidance and rules", the statement read.

[ToloNews] A blast was reported Sunday in PD12, in the Salim Karwan area in Arzan Qemat, a neighborhood in the eastern part of Kabul city, police said.
According to Kabul police, two people were maimed when the mine went off.
The police did not say if the maimed are military personnel or civilians.
Kabul police said that investigations have started.
So far no group including the Taliban ...Arabic for students... has grabbed credit for the incident.
[ALMASDARNEWS] During his trial, a Ottoman Turkish officer said that in 2016, Ottoman Turkish Special Forces snipers received orders from their commander to target Syrian Arab Army soldiers in the border area between the two countries.
The Ottoman Turkish newspaper, Zaman, reported on Saturday, that these statements came from the non-commissioned officer, Darwish Tash, during his trial on charges of being involved in the events of the failed coup attempt in The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor... in mid-July 2016.
The newspaper quoted the officer as saying in his defense, during a court session, that the Ottoman Turkish Special Forces were obliged to carry out all orders from their command, whatever they were.
To clarify this matter, the officer revealed instructions that he said he had received eight and a half months before the attempted coup from the commander of the Special Forces at the time, Major General Zakai Aksakali, when he was performing service in the ranks of the Special Forces units deployed in the Iskenderun Brigade in the Hatay Province.
The newspaper pointed out that the attorney for the Presidency of the Republic, Suleiman Ayhan, tried to make the soldier retract the story of the incident, but the court allowed the accused to continue the conversation.
Tash continued, according to the newspaper, that Aksakali visited his squad in February or March 2016, when it was deployed in the Yaila Mountain overlooking the border, and he issued the following order: "Command your snipers to shoot at the soldiers of the Syrian regime."
The newspaper pointed out that the attorney for the Presidency of the Republic objected to these statements, and claimed that Aksakali was intending to shoot at ISIS members, and boycotted Tash in his defense.

[ALMASDARNEWS] The Syrian presidency revealed on Saturday, Damascus’ conditions for talking to the Americans.
The Syrian presidential advisor, Buthaina Shaaban, said in statements to the al-Mayadeen channel:
"It is not possible to give up our land and our country, and it is not possible to talk with the occupier until after his departure from Syria; from our land."
Shaaban explained, "The targeting of Syria is due to the central role of Damascus in the region and the axis of resistance, and that President Assad’s link between terrorism and the Caesar Act and the United States and Israel is important because they are all parts of one scenario, and the demands that they placed in the Caesar Act mean that we hand them what they want, and thus rob Syria’s independent decision."
The presidential adviser pointed out that "only the Arabs are afraid of the American administration despite the absence of unipolarity," adding that "Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad Oppressor of the Syrians and the Lebs... ’s speech before the People’s Assembly was decisive, as he emphasized that the strategic vision should produce implementable plans, and that the Syrian President presented a clear vision for the official and the citizen for the stage."
Shaaban’s comments to al-Mayadeen came a day after U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo revealed that President Donald Trump ...His ancestors didn't own any slaves... sent a letter to his Syrian counterpart about direct dialogue over the case of missing journalist, Austin Tice, who was kidnapped in rural Damascus in 2012.

Tice went off the grid in 2012? I don't recall any efforts by the BHO admin. to get Tice back. Maybe, I just missed it.

[WBTV] CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Police say a 2-year-old boy was killed in northeast Charlotte on Saturday after he gained access to his father’s unsecured firearm.
The incident happened in the 5500 block of Reagan Drive at the Economy Inn shortly after 10 p.m. Saturday.
The Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department says the boy, Amor Cureton, was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound when they arrived. The boy was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
"There’s a 2-year-old little boy who should still be with us...and is not," CMPD Maj. Ryan Butler said. "And if that doesn’t stir you to some level of awareness that there’s far too much violence going on in this city... Then I don’t know if there’s anything I can say or the police department or anybody in the city of Charlotte that can do to shake somebody out of their apathy if they’re not already at a high level of awareness."
Police later said the boy gained access to his father’s handgun, discharged it and fatally injured himself. Antonio Cureton, 24, was charged with involuntary manslaughter, two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a stolen firearm and failure to secure a firearm to protect a minor.
Following in Daddy’s footsteps, poor little tyke.

It's systemic racism, pure and simple. He was so oppressed he couldn't afford a gun lock or cabinet, only a gun.

It appears he stole the gun, so he couldn't afford to legally buy one, ...being a felon and all

Sue the person dad stole the gun from for failing to adequately secure it, and the gun manufacturer for selling a dangerous product. It'll happen, sooner or later.
[NYPOST] Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko, speaking at a rally of his supporters in Minsk on Sunday, rejected calls to hold a new presidential election and accused NATO ...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A collection of multinational and multilingual and multicultural armed forces, all of differing capabilities, working toward a common goal by pulling in different directions... of massing on his country’s western border.
Belarus has been rocked by a week of street protests after protesters accused Lukashenko of rigging a presidential election last Sunday, something he denies.
Lukashenko earlier spoke to Russian President Vladimir Putin " ...President-for-Life of Russia. He gets along well with other presidents for life. He is credited with bringing political stability and re-establishing something like the rule of law, which occasionally results in somebody dropping dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substance. Under Putin, a new group of business magnates controlling significant swathes of Russia's economy has emerged, all of whom have close personal ties to him. The old bunch, without close personal ties to Putin, are in jail or in exile or dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substances... who told the Belarusian leader that Moscow stood ready to provide help in accordance with a collective military pact if necessary, the Kremlin said in a statement.
As Lukashenko’s supporters waited for his expected appearance at the Sunday rally, many chanted Lukashenko’s nickname of "Batka," or father, and "Maidan won’t take place," referring to the months of protest in Ukraine in 2013-14 that drove then-President Viktor Yanukovych to flee the country.
