#6 I got all excited when I misread the headline as, "Paleoectomy."

#7 I read somewhere that the Israeli productivity in the Gaza Strip was somewhere in the range of $25 million per year, primarily from the greenhouses the paleos took such delight in destroying. Maybe if they spent more time trying to grow things, produce something worth selling, and working, instead of blowing things up and shooting people, their GDP would go UP? Maybe?? Possibly??

#10 That 21 percent number took my breath away. That is an incredible statistic. For an economy to contract in such a manner, investment money is being drained from it at an incredible rate or population is leaving the area at a rapid rate.

21 percent contraction means the "Palestinian" economy has collapsed. There can be no other interpretation.

#11 I'd go with the money leaving. Arms prices have skyrocketed, for one thing.

#12 Expect further losses, esp' when they're relying on foreign aid for their 'input'. Pathetic losers, the whole lot...

#14 Tourism's down in Gaza ya say?

That explains it - 21% fewer foreigners to kidnap and hold for ransom.
