Former TV CEO Says U.S. Should Ban ‘Straight White Males from Voting'
[PJ] WASHINGTON ‐ Steven Clifford, author and former CEO of the King Broadcasting Company and National Mobile Television, told PJM that the federal government should "prohibit straight white males from voting" in U.S. elections as a way to "save" democracy.

"I think it’s the only hope for democracy in America and I will be leading a great movement to prohibit straight white males, who I believe supported Donald Trump by about 85 percent, from exercising the franchise and I think that will save our democracy," Clifford said during an interview after speaking at the forum "Destroying the Myths of Market Fundamentalism," which was organized by the Center for Study of Responsive Law ‐ a group former independent presidential candidate Ralph Nader founded in 1968.

Clifford, author of the book CEO Pay Machine: How it Trashes America and How to Stop it, urged Democrats to explain their policy proposals to voters rather than focus on the reasons they oppose President Trump.

"I’m not a campaign consultant and I think they have to get off the fact that Donald Trump is Donald Trump. Every voter knows that Donald Trump is Donald Trump. Hillary Clinton spent $450 million to say every day that Donald Trump is Donald Trump," Clifford said, referencing the 2016 presidential election campaign.

Bolton's Miami Speech Will Ratchet Up Pressure on Cuba, Venezuela
[Free Beacon] National Security Adviser John Bolton will deliver a speech in Miami Thursday‐just days away from high-stake elections across Florida‐that is expected to lay out a tougher Trump administration stance toward Venezuela, Nicaragua, and Cuba.

The speech will take place against the backdrop of Freedom Tower, a building where Cuban refugees were welcomed in the 1960s after fleeing the communist-run island nation. Miami is home to many immigrants from Cuba, Venezuela and other, Latin American countries who fled repressive regimes.

"Tomorrow I will give remarks on President Trump's policy in Latin America at this historic Freedom Tower in Miami, Florida‐I can think of no more fitting setting," Bolton tweeted Wednesday.

A Cuban-run media website is already bracing for the address, which it characterized as an attempt to "reinforce the unjust White House policy against Venezuela, Nicaragua, and Cuba."

The Trump administration has slapped increasingly harsh sanctions on Venezuela and Nicaragua over government corruption and human-rights violations. The sanctions against Managua came after the Ortega government's violent responses to protests across the country. The administration also pulled nearly all of its embassy staff out of Cuba over mysterious and still unresolved health attacks on U.S. personnel in Havana.

#3  Hat tip to Breitbart...

“This Troika of Tyranny, this triangle of terror stretching from Havana to Caracas to Managua, is the cause of immense human suffering, the impetus of enormous regional instability, and the genesis of a sordid cradle of communism in the Western Hemisphere,” he declared, calling the extreme poverty and violence against pro-democracy voices in all three countries “the true results of socialism and communism.”

Echoing President Donald Trump, Bolton asserted that the humanitarian crisis in Venezuela – currently lacking nearly all necessary medical supplies for a functional healthcare system and home to a growing hunger problem – is happening because “socialism was implemented successfully.”

“Under this administration, we will no longer appease dictators and despots near our shores in this Hemisphere. We will not reward firing squads, torturers, and murderers. We will champion the independence and liberty of our neighbors,” he continued.

Bolton went on to give the countries another nickname: “the Three Stooges of Socialism.”

“They are pathetic clowns that resemble Larry, Curly, and Moe, three absurd comedians,” he told the Miami audience to cheers.

Bolton also promised “concrete measures” against the regimes, starting with a ban on U.S. transactions with Cuban military corporations and sanctions on Venezuela’s gold industry. Bolton added the administration promised further sanctions down the line and would work to freeze access of the elites of the three countries to stolen assets hidden in the United States.

Suspicious Package Mailed To Joel Osteen Found To Contain Bible
[Babylon Bee] HOUSTON, TX‐A suspicious package mailed to Joel Osteen and intercepted by Lakewood Church security was found to contain a copy of the Christian Bible, sources confirmed Wednesday.

"We noticed right away the package didn't feel right," said Lakewood's head of security. "It was about the right weight to contain the 66 books of the Bible, and sure enough, there it was." A special Bible squad was called in to extract the package from the premises and dispose of it, making sure Osteen remained safe from the knowledge of the gospel.

Osteen stated he had a "bad feeling" when he went into the office this morning and began hissing, "It burnss ussss!" about the time the suspicious package was delivered to Lakewood's mail room. "I usually have a really positive feeling, but hoo boy‐I just knew something wasn't right when I went into work this morning. I'm glad my security team is on top of things."

Mueller To FBI: Investigate The Fake Sexual Assault Plot Aimed At Discrediting Me
[Townhall] The Russia probe‐yes, that’s still going on‐took a rather bizarre and nutty turn when two women alleged that they were approached by a company run by an apparent conspiracy theorist to fabricate sexual misconduct allegations against Special Counsel Robert Mueller. Mueller is leading the Department of Justice’s investigation into whether the Trump team colluded with the Kremlin during the 2016 election.

The payment amounts were reportedly staggering. One woman was offered $20,000 and to have her credit card debt paid off. Another woman was approached and was given the option of naming her price, within reason, for any juicy (and most likely fake) accounts of sexual misconduct.

Of course, these allegations, like the ones lobbed against Associate Justice Brett Kavanaugh during his vicious confirmation battle, are not grounded in any evidence. It’s a total nut job conspiracy theory. The Atlantic reported last night that Mueller has referred the matter to the FBI. The identity of one woman, named Parsons, cannot be verified. The second woman, Jennifer Taub, is a professor at Vermont Law School. It’s plain loco, folks (via The Atlantic):

Warren First Learns About Ethics Complaint Against Her During Debate
[Free Beacon] Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.) claimed she was unaware of the ethics complaint against her during a U.S. Senate debate in Massachusetts Tuesday.

During the debate, Republican challenger Geoff Diehl pointed out Warren is alleged to have fundraised off Brett Kavanaugh's Supreme Court confirmation hearings, asking for donations in exchange for her vote against the nominee.

"Senator Warren was fundraising illegally using the vote on Justice Kavanaugh, the confirmation vote, to try to raise money for her campaigns," Diehl said.

Diehl was referencing a complaint sent Monday to the Senate Select Committee on Ethics. The Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust (FACT) sent the complaint to Sens. Johnny Isakson (R., Ga.) and Chris Coons (D., Del.), the respective committee chairman and vice chairman.

It alleges Warren fundraised based off her intended vote on Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the Court. The Senate prohibits "linking a promise of official action to a solicitation of campaign contributions."

A 3-minute dose of schadenfreude: hilarious compilation of media announcing Trump's imminent political demise
[American Thinker] President Trump has accomplished a historic triumph of political jujitsu in the face of unprecedented levels of media hysteria directed against him. Unlike every other major GOP figure in my lifetime, he has not caved-in to media-generated waves of criticism, but rather turned his opponents’ fury against them, using the (borrowed) expression "fake news," often supplementing it with the even more inflammatory expression, "enemy of the people."

And it has worked.

Rasmussen’s daily tracking poll, comparing Barack Obama’s popularity with Trump’s, is instructive:

Young Indiana women in big hurry kills three children, guess how it happend
[Breitbart] Alyssa Shepherd, 24, allegedly struck and killed three siblings with a pickup truck while they tried to board their school bus on Tuesday morning.

Nine-year-old Alivia Stahl and her six-year-old twin brothers Xzavier and Mason Ingle died after being struck at the bus stop, while 11-year-old Maverik Lowe was critically injured with multiple broken bones. Lowe, unrelated to the three siblings, is currently in critical condition, undergoing surgery at a Fort Wayne hospital.

Shepherd’s vehicle was reportedly passing the Tippecanoe Valley School Corp. bus, with its arm signal extended to allow the children to safely cross and board. She has been charged with three counts of reckless homicide and one misdemeanor count of passing a school bus when the arm signal device is extended, resulting in bodily harm.

Indiana State Police Sergeant Tony Slocum called the accident "an unspeakable tragedy," alongside a grave reminder that "we all have a responsibility to share the roadway and we’re all responsible for making sure our children get to and from school safely."

Very sad video at this link.

It's Not Unreasonable to Be Worried about Disease and the Caravan
[National Review] We live in bizarro times. Suddenly, it is controversial to state obvious, neon-bright truths. This week, it has become newsworthy to observe that illegal border-crossers who circumvent required medical screenings are a threat to America’s public health and safety.

Just look at these hyperventilating headlines and tweets.

From Newsweek, which is supposed to, you know, report actual news of the week: "’We don’t know what people have’: Laura Ingraham calls migrant caravan a health issue."

And from the Daily Beast: "Fox & Friends Host Brian Kilmeade Fears ’Diseases’ Brought by Migrant Caravan."

This is not "news." It’s propaganda recycled and regurgitated by lazy political operatives masquerading as journalists. At least the Newsweek writer gave credit to his zealous hitmen sources: "Ingraham’s comments," he dutifully wrote, "were first highlighted by Media Matters for America."

MMfA is a militant left-wing oppo-research outfit funded by progressive billionaire George Soros. Somehow, not-really-Newsweek forgot to mention this fact. (Alas, mentioning Soros subsidies has also become a forbidden act this week, but that’s another story.) The determined intent of these "news" pieces is not to inform readers but to inflame them with the dog-whistle assumption that conservatives, Fox personalities, and ordinary Americans who worry about diseases from immigration are de facto racists.

#5  I cringe every time I hear someone like the narrator of this video call for more affordable housing. Homeless bums can't take care of themselves so how do you expect them to take care of a house or apartment? They'll tear it apart and burn it down just like they have their own lives.

It's very simple: If you cannot afford to live in California's coastal communities, try your luck some place else. This is prime coastal real estate so it's supposed to be expensive. It's for the people who can afford it, the people who work their asses off to pay the sky high mortgages, not for the people who shoot heroin on the streets. The solution offered by affordable housing advocates is to turn these beautiful communities into slums.

Europe
Germany, France urge China to level business playing field
SHANGHAI (Reuters) - Germany and France urged Beijing on Thursday to do more to level the playing field for European businesses in China and address concerns about the business environment through "concrete and systematic measures".

In a rare joint op-ed in the business magazine Caixin, the German and French ambassadors to China said European businesses should have the same opportunities in China as Chinese industries have in Europe.

The op-ed comes on the eve of a major trade expo in Shanghai next week that Beijing hopes to use to signal its willingness to narrow trade deficits and assuage outside concern about its trade practices.

Critics see the China International Import Expo, or CIIE, as an ill-conceived event that is more about political posturing amid trade tensions between China and the United States than business.

French Ambassador Jean-Maurice Ripert and German Ambassador Clemens von Goetze said the expo was timely.

"French and German companies are looking forward to China demonstrating that it will not waver and will deepen its opening-up and reform policy in order to create a level playing field for foreign businesses in China," their article said.

Levin and Horowitz: Yes, Trump can end birthright citizenship for children of illegal immigrants with an executive order
[Conservative Review] Tuesday on his radio program, LevinTV host Mark Levin spoke with Conservative Review senior editor Daniel Horowitz about birthright citizenship ‐ and that President Donald Trump is entirely within his rights to interpret and enforce the 14th Amendment to the Constitution.

Horowitz told Levin that President Trump has the authority to issue an executive order clarifying how the executive branch will interpret the 14th Amendment concerning the citizenship status of children born in the United States to illegal aliens. He said that those who say otherwise, including House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wisc., are "constitutionally illiterate."

"Let’s put this in plain English here," Horowitz said. "Basically they’re saying, Mark, I could break into your home, kick down the door, drop a kid there, and he has the right to live there for the remainder of his life and there’s not a darn thing you can do about it."

"The reality is that even if we agree to the notion of birthright citizenship ... there is no way you could extrapolate that to people who came here without consent. The key words are ’consent’ and ’sovereignty.’ Nothing ever supersedes that. Nobody could unilaterally assert jurisdiction and make it that there’s nothing we can do to stop this," he continued.

#1  " that President Trump has the authority to issue an executive order clarifying how the executive branch will interpret the 14th Amendment"

Just like a Democratic President could "interpret" the 2A to apply only to militia members? Be careful what you wish for.

The fact is that the ink on that executive order wouldn't have dried before the first judge orders an injunction against it. The Supreme Court will decide it.

#2  Trumps playing their game on them. Hemming and hawing in Congress meets an EO, then it goes to the judiciary. If the Left enjoys legislating by the judiciary, they're going to find out two can play that game, and he's playing the long game. One more socialist seat vacancy in SCOTUS and they're outflanked.

All the rest is legal rhetoric. If SCOTUS can suspend 'equal before the law' to implement affirmative action policies, then it can 'interpret' birth right to those under the legal jurisdiction of the United States - ie citizens and those legally permitted into country.

#3  Procopius: How do you define "legal jurisdiction"?
Posted by: European Conservative || 11/01/2018 8:04 Comments || Top||

#4  That's SCOTUS's job :)

Those under the law. There is an old English term - outlaw. "The term outlawry referred to the formal procedure of declaring someone an outlaw, i.e. putting him outside the sphere of legal protection. In the common law of England, a judgment of (criminal) outlawry was one of the harshest penalties in the legal system, since the outlaw could not use the legal system for protection, e.g. from mob justice."

Those who live in Central America or elsewhere are outside of US laws. To legally enter you must comply with US laws, thus now come under the law (its rights, procedures, and protections). To enter unlawfully retains that status - outside the law, thus not subject to the jurisdiction of the law.
Posted by: Procopius2k || 11/01/2018 8:34 Comments || Top||

#5  I seriously doubt that. An illegal immigrant is not an "outlaw" and not without legal protection. If you kill, rob or rape him/her, he/she will have same protection under the law as any U.S. citizen. And you will go to prison if you harm that person. And if an illegal immigrant breaks U.S. law he/she will be prosecuted under U.S. jurisdiction.

Also a baby of an illegal immigrant hasn't violated any law.

Btw of course the U.S. can amend its birthright laws as it seems fit. But this way? Really?

An executive order can be nullified by the next president.

#6  An illegal immigrant is not an "outlaw" and not without legal protection.

You are getting lost in the analogy and missing the point: sneaking into the country does not confer the rights and responsibilities of citizenship. Being entitled to vote in elections or being required to register for military service are two examples that come to mind.

In a similar vein, I personally don't think that giving birth in an airport lounge while on a transnational flight should entitle you to citizenship of that country.

#8  "sneaking into the country does not confer the rights and responsibilities of citizenship"

No, of course it doesn't, but we're not talking about the rights of that person, but of the right of the child.

As I've said it's entirely up to the U.S. how it wants to handle citizenship. European countries do it differently.

But I think the language of the 14A is rather clear. It doesn't even mention the status of the parents. I also think the framers didn't even think about "illegal immigration" at the time the amendment was designed.

So yes, it could need a few corrections. But I doubt this can be done by executive order.

#10  A few questions:
Do you think the denial of birthright citizenship should apply to

1) Children of illegal immigrants only
2) Children of illegal immigrants and tourists
3) Children of all foreigners in the U.S. (including greencard holders)

And

Do you want to applying the new restrictions retroactively?
Posted by: European Conservative || 11/01/2018 9:47 Comments || Top||

#11  1. if any of the (DNA) parents are already American.

2. if legally in the country.

Counter question -

Of all the children born of American military families stationed in Germany for the last 50 years, are they German or American?
Posted by: Procopius2k || 11/01/2018 10:02 Comments || Top||

#12  As of January 1, 2000, a child born in Germany to non-German parents automatically acquires German citizenship at birth by jus soli if:
(1) at least one parent had lived legally in Germany for at least eight years prior to the birth;
(2) at the time of the birth, that parent had a permanent residence permit (either an Aufenthaltsberechtigung or, for the three years prior to the birth, an unbefristete Aufenthaltserlaubnis).

But as I already said: Germany has a different citizenship law. It used to be entirely ius sanguinis, but this has changed a bit.
Posted by: European Conservative || 11/01/2018 10:13 Comments || Top||

#15  Here's the thing, they only started this birthright citizen thing since 1960. Before that, a parent had to be american. So for almost 200 years in America, being born here to non-americans did NOT make you one. It has simply been how they suddenly decided to interpet the 14th amendment.

#18  Yep. The current ruling came from the leftist courts championed by... Ted Kennedy.

I'll repeat my solution:

One or both parents are US citizens, US citizenship is bestowed to the child.

If the parents are here on a visa or green card, the visa/card status is bestowed on the child. If the child wants to become a citizen later and has lived a while in the states, that process can be fast tracked.

If one or both of the parents are going through the naturalization process, the child is granted the same status as the parents until the naturalization process is complete. Upon citizenship granted to the parents the child will be bestowed with US citizenship as well.

If the parents are illegal, then the child gets no special protections just like the parents.

#19  I just find the whole "Anchor Baby" Theory preposterous. Give them, the "Anchor Baby", dual citizenship and deport the whole family. The parents because they are not "legal citizens" and the child because they need to be reunited with their legal guardians.

#20  From what I understand the jurisdiction has to do with entities a country has treaties with, folks we often deport rather than put through the US courts.

Deporting has been our action against Illegals for some time now as well so by that definition Trump is right.

Still, Executive Orders are easily reversed. They are bad policy.

#22  Closing the birthright loophole would de-incentivize coming here. Illegals come here and have there babies and the child born here automatically are citizens. The illegals play the system because they know the Dems will will scream "We can't send the parents back to their country of origin because it would split up their families." The problem then gets kicked down the road and grows. Congress, under both parties has been feckless. Congress needs to grow a pair and completely reform laws regulating immigration. Immigration has spun out of control for decades and has bled the country.

According to the Center for Responsive Politics, as of October 26, Planned Parenthood contributed to the campaigns of 143 Democrats running in House races and 25 Democrats running for a Senate seat.

Montana Sen. Jon Tester is the recipient of $7,500, the highest amount Planned Parenthood has donated to the campaign of a U.S. Senate candidate. Tester is running against Republican Matt Rosendale.

Democrat Jacky Rosen scored $7,499 from the abortion giant for her campaign against GOP Nevada Sen. Dean Heller.

For her campaign to fill the seat of retiring Arizona Sen. Jeff Flake, Krysten Sinema received $7,000 from the political action group affiliated with taxpayer-funded Planned Parenthood.

Nine incumbent Democrat senators were the recipients of donations in the $5,000 range from Planned Parenthood: Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine, $5,034; California Sen. Nevada Democrat Susie Lee received $8,000 from the abortion business for her House campaign against Nevada businessman Danny Tarkanian.

In New Jersey, Democrat Andy Kim scored $7,000 from the organization for his race against incumbent GOP Rep. Tom MacArthur.

Though Jon Ossoff announced in February he would not be running for Congress during the 2018 election season, he received $6,509 from Planned Parenthood, according to the data.

Similarly, Connecticut Democrat Rep. Elizabeth Esty announced in April she would not be seeking re-election in the wake of criticism she mishandled abuse allegations against her chief of staff. Nevertheless, she received $6,000 from Planned Parenthood.

In Ohio, Aftab Pureval also was the recipient of $6,000 from Planned Parenthood for his campaign against incumbent GOP Rep. Steve Chabot.

Democrats running for House races who received amounts in the $5,000 range from Planned Parenthood are: Abby Finkenauer (IA), $5,500; David Cicilline (RI), $5,000; James Clyburn (SC), $5,000; Angie Craig (MN), $5,000; Joseph Crowley (NY), $5,000; Ruben Gallego (AZ), $5,000; Chrissy Houlahan (PA), $5,000; Steny Hoyer (MD), $5,000; Hakeem Jeffries (NY), $5,000; Ann Juster (NH), $5,000; Ben Lujan (NM), $5,000; Marie Newman (IL), $5,000; and Nancy Pelosi (CA), $5,000.

The Facts Of The Mail Bomber Case Don't Add Up
[Disobedient Media] The October spree of packaged mail bombs unsuccessfully delivered to media outlets, politicians and politically active benefactors has gripped the United States ahead of the November midterm elections. The media is awash with speculation about the suspect’s inspiration and why he may have carried out the attacks.

While the official narrative makes for captivating commentary amongst pundits, the case bears several suspicious points. Inconsistencies between reported facts and the official version of events, the targets chosen to receive packages and details about the suspect and their social media all represent loose ends to the case that have not been adequately addressed. Additionally, the FBI’s track record and the involvement of Hollywood figures shaping the official story give rise to serious concerns that the FBI has caught the wrong man, leaving the true perpetrators free to strike again should they wish.

Inconsistencies Between Facts And Narrative

The official narrative being promoted by mainstream media sources and law enforcement does not match the facts. Apparent contradictions over whether the bombs were real or inert and indications that at least some were not mailed through USPS create factual conflicts that have not been explained.

Mercer: American Rabbis Practice Pop Judaism, For The Most
[Barely a Blog] America’s rabbis are mostly dumb, eschatologically and generally. I wouldn’t take seriously anything they say about President Donald Trump.

Not unlike their Christian compatriots in the ministry and the priesthood‐rabbis are generally an unscholarly lot, more inclined to pop-religion and social justice.

Like their Christian friends, rabbis aim to bring religion in line with self-help literature and common leftist spiritual and political hobbyhorses and quests.

Thus, you have this silly "’Rabbi," who, "At Mike a Pence Rally Thinks Jews Who Deny Christ Go To Hell."

It’s simply untrue, from the perspective of Judaism. Judaism considers Yehoshua, aka Yeshu, aka Jesus Christ, a prophet, not part of a Godhead (which we don’t have). Thus, there is no punishment of hell for giving the cold shoulder to a prophet.

On the other hand, other Jewish leaders acted ungraciously, even disgracefully, in snubbing President Trump, on his visit to grieving Pittsburgh on Tuesday afternoon:

Shameful. You don’t reject a show of mercy and compassion.

#1  The silly rabbi in this case is a so-called Messianic Jew, what we on the Jewish side of the equation call a Christian, because as this clip shows, he considers Jesus Christ his personal saviour.

Also, I was not aware that Judaism considers Jesus Christ an actual prophet, rather than a charismatic rabbi.

Hang on, hang on. I need to work this into a Trix cereal commercial bit.

In the meantime, given that in 2018 when all sense and meaning have gone out the window, when a white woman can identify as black or Cherokee, when sexually confused can identify as any of 57 different genders, I see no reason a why Jew cannot accept Jesus as his personal savior even though I might personally have gone with Baal, Odin or Quetzalcoatl.

About messianic Jews, because we all wondered, and the internet has answers:

In an Atlantic article, titled “Kosher Jesus: Messianic Jews in the Holy Land,” Sarah Posner explains that “there are an estimated 175,000 to 250,000 Messianic Jews in the U.S. and 350,000 worldwide, according to various counts, they are a tiny minority in Israel — just 10,000-20,000 people by some estimates — but growing, according to both its proponents and critics.”

Eavesdropping on Obama's revolutionary guards (Organizing for Action)
[American Thinker] There is nothing like the local coffee shop near my home to hear the unvarnished truth. Tuesday morning, I was sitting with my morning brew reading how wonderful it was that the Dodgers got slam dunked, when a group of 12 folks, mostly in their 20’s, and the leader in her forties, orders and they sit across from me at a large table and hold their meeting. They are the true believers; door bell ringers for the Democratic candidate for the California Assembly in my district.

The leader was real piece of work, white, sour faced, short hair, no makeup, black jeans and black tee, and wearing a black and white "Palestinian" keffiyeh around her neck, and carrying a notebook with the OFA (Organizing for Action) logo. Yes, Obama’s own Revolutionary Guards.

Let me report just the most salient instruction that was told to these folks... lie. In a nutshell, the leader said to ask the home owners you contact what their political concerns are, then feed these concerns back as positive positions for the candidate. Taxes too high? Feed back that the candidate wants to lower taxes. More gun control? Feed back that the candidate want more gun control. Too many immigrants? Feed back that the candidate wants to review the situation.

This went on, ad nauseum, for 15 minutes.

Then one woman asks the leader about the candidate’s position on Israel and what should they say? I stare at my laptop, listening, not daring to look at the group.

The leader clears her throat and softly says, "Tell them Trump is Hitler, and only the Democrats can save the Jews from the next Holocaust."

The woman who first asked the Israel question then asks, "But what if their concern is that there are already too many Jews in positions of power in America? Ya know, they are already on-board with us?"

Actor James Cromwell warns of 'revolution': 'There will be blood in the streets' if Democrats lose
[Wash Times] Actor James Cromwell told an audience Sunday night that a violent revolution is coming if Democrats don’t win the midterm elections.

"Something is coming up, which is desperately important to this country and to this planet, and that is an election, in which hopefully in some measure we are going to take back our democracy," Mr. Cromwell, best known for his roles in "The Green Mile" and "Babe," said in accepting a Carney Award in Santa Monica, California, Variety reported.

"We will have a government that represents us and not the donor class," he continued. "We will cut through the corruption, [and] we won’t have to do what comes next, which is either a nonviolent revolution or a violent one, because this has got to end."

Speaking to Variety on the red carpet before the event, Mr. Cromwell said, "There will be blood in the streets" if President Trump stays in power.

"This is nascent fascism. We always had a turnkey, totalitarian state ‐ all we needed was an excuse, and all the institutions were in place to turn this into pure fascism," he said. "If we don’t stop [President Trump] now, then we will have a revolution for real. Then there will be blood in the streets."

Mr. Cromwell, 78, is a longtime liberal activist who has been arrested multiple times for protesting environmental issues.

#4  300 million guns out there in the hands of the American people, and you really want a bloody revolution? A lot of issues are going to be resolved really quick outside of urban areas. For the urban areas, you better review the record on hurricanes and major cities. Coastal and South Floridians know what its like to go weeks without normal services (power, light, gas) or restocking of sundries and food. That's with a heck of a lot of outside resources rushed to put it all back together again. That happening to dozens of blue metropolises at the same time is well out of the capacity of even this country. Weeks will become months. No free stuff. Free stuff people will start to cut out the middle man (government) and get the stuff themselves, from you and yours. It will be educational (for the survivors) what happens in gun control cities.

Alabama Justice Urges Supreme Court to Address ‘Logical Fallacy' in Roe v. Wade
[National Review] In upholding a lower court’s fetal-homicide ruling, Alabama Supreme Court justice Tom Parker urged the U.S. Supreme Court to address the "logical fallacy" he believes is inherent in the landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade decision, which established a constitutional right to abortion.

Jessie Livell Phillips, who was sentenced to death after being found guilty of a double homicide for killing his pregnant girlfriend, appealed the decision, arguing that the fetus was not legally a separate person, and that he should thus have been charged with one count of homicide instead of two.

The Court, however, rejected Phillips’s appeal, finding that he was indeed guilty of killing "two or more persons" per a 2006 Alabama law that extended personhood to children in utero.

As part of his concurring opinion, Parker wrote that it is a "logical fallacy" for the state to treat a fetus as a separate person subject to equal protection for the purposes of charging Phillips with a double homicide, while making an exception in the case of a woman seeking an abortion.

Couple found hidden camera in their Carnival Cruise bedroom: 'Our privacy had been invaded'
[10 News] A Florida couple is recalling a distressing experience on a Carnival Cruise after finding a hidden camera pointing at their bed.

In an interview set to air Monday, Chris and Dana White told Inside Edition that they discovered a recording device hidden among TV wires in their stateroom last October on the Carnival Fantasy, a three-day Caribbean cruise departing from Mobile, Alabama.

"I said, 'Is that what I think it is?' " Chris White said. "And she looked at it and she became concerned. And we were just really flabbergasted that there's a camera in the room and it's plugged up and it's working."

The couple called Carnival security and used their cellphone to film an employee who inspected and disassembled the device. "I was thinking, 'I can't believe this is actually happening to us,' " he said.

In a statement to USA TODAY, Carnival acknowledged a "video transmitter" was found during a full investigation by the shipboard team, but notes it "was not connected to an electrical source and not capable of recording."

"This is certainly a unique and unusual occurrence and it is unclear who or why this transmitter was placed in the guest’s stateroom," the statement said. "The safety and security of our guests and crew is of paramount importance and we have taken measures so that this sort of situation does not happen again."

Chris White disagreed, making it clear that the device "was a camera. It was wired up. It was working. It was warm to the touch."

[Free Beacon] Wages and salaries rose 0.9 percent in the third quarter, beating expectations and bringing the yearly increase in wages and salaries to 3.1 percent, the largest increase in a decade. The 9.9 percent increase beat the expectation of 0.5 percent.

The unemployment rate is also at 3.7 percent, the lowest it has been since 1969, CNBC reports. Employment costs rose by 0.8 percent in the third quarter, slightly ahead of economists' estimates, possibly signaling more inflation.

"The employment cost index data adds to the broader evidence that wage growth has continued to trend gradually higher over recent quarters," said Michael Pearce, senior U.S. economist at Capital Economics. "And with labor market conditions still tightening, we expect wage growth will accelerate further from here."

Although slow pay growth has been limited during the current recovery, employers now appear to be raising wages to a more typical level for a good economy. With unemployment low and more job openings than unemployed Americans, employers have to compete for workers.

#2  The Fed is worried about inflation, but only because the workforce is actually making economic gains. They want Congress to raise taxes, as though the government isn't taking in record taxes which it is.

Eight years of zero interest money loans to big banks and the creation of money without banking by the Fed is OK (cause of personnel rotation between in the the Fed and said financial institutions), but the lowly worker is a threat to the 'management' of the economy. Fed is no better than the old Soviet Central Planning. You exist to serve 'our' plans and programs.

Stacey Abrams Supports Banning AR-15s, Won't Say if She'd Confiscate Them From Georgians
[Free Beacon] Democrat Stacey Abrams would not say Tuesday whether she would support rounding up AR-15 firearms from Georgians if elected governor.

Conservative co-host of "The View" Meghan McCain read out a list of Abrams' gun control bona fides, including her "F" rating from the National Rifle Association and endorsements from the group Everytown for Gun Safety and gun control activist Michael Bloomberg.

"Do you, like Everytown, support banning the AR-15?" McCain asked.

Abrams replied she was not "anti-gun," talking about her enjoyment of trap shooting and target shooting, but she also touted her support of background checks, three-day waiting periods, and keeping domestic abusers from buying guns before addressing McCain's question.

"I do not believe that weapons of mass destruction like the AR-15 belong in civilian hands," she said. "I've shot an AR-15, and I think you probably have, too, and while it's an amazing amount of power, it also is an amazing amount of destruction, and there's very little that can be done to protect vulnerable communities when the AR-15 is present."

McCain said she appreciated Abrams' honesty.

Hollywood Women Push to Get Out Vote in U.S.
Don’t worry, dear ladies — we most certainly will be voting, though not for your decadent candidates.
[An Nahar] Several of Hollywood's most famous female faces, including Oscar winners Cher, Julianne Moore and Jodie Foster, have joined forces for a TV spot to urge Americans to vote in the November 6 midterm elections.

The minute-long video, produced by billionaire businessman Michael Bloomberg and directed by Foster, was released Tuesday -- exactly one week before voters head to the polls.

"What matters to you?" Cher asks in the spot.

"Grey's Anatomy" star Ellen Pompeo talks about school shootings, comedian Lily Tomlin speaks about "basic human rights
...which are usually entirely different from personal liberty...
" and Moore mentions "freedom of speech."

None of the women featured in the ad mention President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
by name, but the ad clearly seems to be calling for change.

At stake on November 6 is control of Congress, which is currently held by Trump's Republican Party. All 435 seats in the House of Representatives are up for grabs, along with about a third of Senate seats.

Other celebrities featured in the ad include transgender actress Laverne Cox, "Crazy Rich Asians" star Constance Wu and Felicity Huffman of "Desperate Housewives" fame.

Deaf Oscar-winning actress Marlee Matlin signs the word "Vote."

The video was funded by Independence USA PAC, a political action committee launched by Bloomberg, a former mayor of New York who is pushing for Democrats to be elected this year.

Warplanes Carry Out An Airstrike In Southern Somalia
[RADIOSHABELLE] Unidentified warplanes were reported to have bombed suspected al-Shabaab

targets in Lower Shabelle region of southern Somalia on Wednesday.

Local residents who spoke to Radio Shabelle station in Mogadishu over the phone said the fighter jets fired several missiles at semi-forest locations thought to be al-Shabaab bases.

There have been no reports of casualties on al-Shabaab holy warriors in the bombarded areas between Lanta-buur and Arbiska towns in Lower Shabelle region, south of Somalia.

It’s yet unclear which country belongs to the warplanes targeted al-Shabaab, however, the US and Kenyan air forces have been conducting such air strikes in the country in the past years.

Indonesia protests Saudi execution of domestic worker
[Al Jazeera] Indonesia has filed an official protest with Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
after the kingdom executed an Indonesian domestic worker without notifying her family or consular staff.

Tuti Tursilawati was executed on Monday in the city of Taif, Indonesia's foreign ministry said, seven years after she was sentenced to death for killing her employer in an act she claimed was self-defence from sexual abuse.

President Joko Widodo criticised the decision on Wednesday, saying the government has officially protested to Riyadh and demanded better protection of Indonesian workers in the country.

Lalu Muhammad Iqbal, director at the foreign ministry's Indonesian citizens protection department, told news hounds on Tuesday the move was "regrettable".

"The execution of Tuti Tursilawati was done without notification to our representatives, either in Riyadh or Jeddah," he said at a news conference.

Tursilawati claimed she was acting in self-defence when she killed her employer in 2010 after he tried to rape her.

Migrant Care, an NGO advocating for the rights of Indonesian workers abroad, condemned the execution and urged the government to take serious diplomatic steps.

It said Indonesia should reverse its recent decision to allow a limited number of Indonesian migrant workers to Saudi Arabia despite a 2015 moratorium banning new domestic workers from entering 21 Middle Eastern countries.

Yemen is sovereign, won’t accept American diktats: Foreign minister
[PRESSTV] Yemeni Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf has censured the latest remarks by US Defense Secretary Jim Mattis about the need for the establishment of a semi-autonomous region in the conflict-stricken Arab country, stating that the Yemeni nation welcomes any initiative that does not undermine national principles.

"Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of. Except for a tiny handfull of Jews everthing there is very Islamic...
is a sovereign country. We do not take orders from anyone, and do not accept the loss of our national illusory sovereignty," Sharaf told Arabic-language al-Masirah televisions network on Tuesday evening.

He added that Yemenis are defending their motherland and will not allow their illusory sovereignty to be undermined in any way.

"Our missiles are meant to safeguard Yemen’s security. We had not attacked anyone prior to the onset of the Saudi-led military aggression," Sharaf pointed out.

He stressed that the Pentagon chief’s comments about a political case confirms that Washington views Yemen through a military perspective.

"There would have been no aggression against Yemen in case the United States of America and Britannia had not supported the Saudi regime," Sharaf said.

Seven Killed in Suicide Attack near Kabul Prison
[An Nahar] A jacket wallah targeting a bus carrying employees of Afghanistan's biggest prison killed at least seven people on Wednesday, officials said, in the latest Lion of Islam attack in the war-torn country.

Another five were maimed in the blast near the facility in Kabul, which police front man Basir Mujahid said had hit a vehicle that staff of Pul-e-Charkhi prison were travelling in.

The attacker was on foot, interior ministry front man Najib Danish said. He struck as the bus was entering the jail in the east of the Afghan capital.

Seoul Says N. Korea Readying Nuclear Site for Inspectors
[An Nahar] South Korea's spy agency has detected signs that Pyongyang is preparing to allow international inspectors to visit its nuclear and missile test sites, Yonhap news agency reported Wednesday.

North Korean leader Kim Pudge Jong-un
...the overweight, pouty-looking hereditary potentate of North Korea. Pudge appears to believe in his own divinity, but has yet to produce any loaves and fishes, so his subjects remain malnourished...
has expressed his willingness to have foreign experts inspect the facilities, as part of on-off negotiations on denuclearization, but there is no indication as to whether invitations have been sent.

At a parliamentary audit on Wednesday, the South's National Intelligence Service (NIS) said it was "closely monitoring" the Punggye-ri nuclear test facility and the Tongchang-ri missile launching ground for possible inspections.

"Signs have been detected that North Korea is doing some preparations and intelligence-related activity over a possible visit by outside experts," a politician who was briefed by the NIS was cited as saying.

At a summit with South Korean President Moon Jae-in in Pyongyang last month, Kim pledged to close the Tongchang-ri site and allow international experts to observe its dismantlement.

North Korea took apart the Punggye-ri site in the country's northeast in May but has yet to allow international observers in to verify its claims.

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that Kim had told him he was "ready" to allow foreign inspectors to verify the work at Punggye-ri, following a meeting in Pyongyang earlier this month.

The inspectors will be allowed in as soon as the two sides agree on "logistics," Pompeo said.

Pompeo Says Khashoggi Murder Violated International Law
[An Nahar] The murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi inside Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
's consulate in Istanbul was a violation of international law, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Wednesday.

The top U.S. diplomat nonetheless stressed that he wanted to preserve the decades-old alliance with Saudi Arabia and declined explicitly to criticize Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman
...Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia as of 2016....
, who has been consolidating power.

"It's an awful thing that took place," Pompeo told conservative talk show host Brian Kilmeade.

"The killing, the murder of Jamal Khashoggi in the consulate in The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund....
violates the norms of international law. That much is very, very clear," he said.

His remarks came as Turkey's chief prosecutor said that Khashoggi, a critic of the palace who lived in self-imposed exile in suburban Washington, was strangled as soon as he entered the Istanbul consulate, with his body then dismembered.

Pompeo, who was not asked directly about the Ottoman Turkish findings, said the United States "won't rely on others" but would "develop our fact pattern" based on information it receives.

Israel okays equipment to boost Palestinian cell coverage in West Bank
The better to hear you with, my dears.
[IsraelTimes] Military okays request by Paltel telecom to import specialized circuit boards to improve phone service, speed up internet.

Following the Civil Administration’s final approval on Sunday, Paltel was expected to install the circuit boards this week and improve its cellular coverage almost immediately.

Earlier this year, Paleostinians in the West Bank gained 3G mobile telecommunications services, after years of negotiations with Israel.

However,
corruption finds a dozen alibis for its evil deeds...
the service remained weak for some Paleostinians in light of Paltel’s limited infrastructure. The new circuit boards are designed to address this issue.

Paltel maintains a near total monopoly over the Paleostinian telecommunications market, with some 1.5 million customers. The new equipment will only affect the firm’s network, not those of other companies in the West Bank, so Israeli settlers will not experience improved coverage as a result.

U.S. Transferring IS Suspects from Syria to Iraq, Says HRW
[An Nahar] US forces have been handing over suspected jihadists captured in Syria to the authorities in Iraq, where they face torture and botched trials, Human Rights Watch said on Wednesday.

The New York-based watchdog said the United States had transferred suspected members of the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. group for trials in Baghdad.

"The US should not be transferring IS suspects from Syria to Iraq or elsewhere if they will be at risk of torture or an unfair trial," HRW's Nadim Houry said.

The rights group said independent observers told them that several foreign defendants -- including from La Belle France, Australia, and Leb -- were tried in Baghdad recently and reported being captured in Syria.

In some cases, the defendants said they had never been to Iraq before.

"Faced with the refusal by many countries to take back their nationals, the US seems to have taken the easy way out by transferring some to Iraq and be done with it," Houry said.

The fate of hundreds of foreign suspected IS members detained by the Kurdish forces in the semi-autonomous northeastern region of Syria has become something of an international political and legal hot potato.

Most of their governments have refused to repatriate them for trials at home and the Kurdish administration holding them has signalled it did not intend to try them locally.

Turkey Says Khashoggi Strangled, Couldn't Have Been Killed without 'High-Level' Order

The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
's chief prosecutor left Istanbul, and his Ottoman Turkish counterpart said he was "obliged" to release the information after their talks produced "no concrete results."

Gruesome reports in the Ottoman Turkish media had previously alleged that Khashoggi, a 59-year-old Washington Post contributor who had criticized the powerful Saudi crown prince, was killed and cut into pieces by a team sent from Riyadh to silence him. His body has not been found.

"In accordance with plans made in advance, the victim, Jamal Khashoggi, was strangled to death immediately after entering the Consulate General of Saudi Arabia in Istanbul on October 2, 2018 for marriage formalities," said a statement from the office of Istanbul chief prosecutor Irfan Fidan.

"The victim's body was dismembered and destroyed following his death by suffocation -‐ again, in line with advance plans," it added.

Saudi Arabia sent the head of its investigation to Istanbul this week, seeking to draw a line under a crisis that has brought near unprecedented scrutiny on the oil-rich Gulf nation.

Attorney General Sheikh Saud al-Mojeb arrived in Istanbul on Sunday, met with Fidan twice, visited the consulate and spoke with Turkey's MIT intelligence agency.

He then flew out of Istanbul on Wednesday afternoon without making a public statement.

"Despite our well-intentioned efforts to reveal the truth, no concrete results have come out of those meetings," the Ottoman Turkish prosecutor's office said.

It added that the Saudi prosecutor’s office invited Fidan and his delegation to Riyadh "along with the evidence they have obtained."

France Launches Nationwide Probe into Baby Arm Deformations
[An Nahar] La Belle France has launched a nationwide probe into incidents of babies being born with either missing or malformed arms after abnormal rates of deformations were detected in several regions of the country, a top public health official said Wednesday.

Francois Bourdillon, head of the Public Health La Belle France agency, told RTL radio that the probe was "underway" and the results would be known "in about three months."

A relatively small number of cases have been detected so far -- about 25 over the past 15 years in the regions of Brittany, Loire-Atlantique and Ain -- but the defects have caused public alarm and have been widely reported by the French media.

On Monday evening, health authorities reported an additional 11 cases in the Ain area near the Swiss border between 2000 and 2014 which had not previously been made public.

Officials had already said the number of cases in Brittany and the Loire-Atlantique areas, on La Belle France's west coast, were statistically "excessive" and Health Minister Agnes Buzyn had vowed to investigate further.

So far, no explanation has been found for the deformations despite tests on the mothers to see if they were exposed to common substances.

Some environmentalists have claimed pesticides could be to blame, but there is no scientific evidence at this point to back up the claims.

The defects could also be genetic.

"We cannot content ourselves with saying we didn't find the cause, that's unacceptable," Buyzn said earlier this month.

In the 1950s and 1960s, thousands of babies around the world were born with missing or stunted limbs linked to the use of the drug thalidomide, which was used to treat nausea in pregnant women. It was banned in the 1960s.
9 News-Australia adds:
BLUF:
An initial inquiry in early October found the incidence of limb defects in western France were no greater than in other parts of the country.

However, geneticist Dr Elizabeth Gnansia, who chairs the scientific committee in Ain's regional health centre, said the number of cases were undoubtedly significant.

"Let's imagine they are born between 2009 and 2014, which is five years, can you imagine that in a small rural school seven infants are in the same school with a type of amputation of forearm?" she said.
“That's too coincidental to be a coincidence.”

Russia Probes Terror after Teen Suicide Attack on Security Service
[An Nahar] Russia launched a terrorism probe Wednesday after a 17-year-old student went kaboom! at the regional headquarters of the FSB security agency, wounding three employees.

Several minutes before the suicide kaboom in the northern city of Arkhangelsk, a post on an anarchist forum warned of an imminent kaboom.

s and talk to his friends and relatives to "find out the motives for the crime."

An bomb detonated in the FSB building shortly before 9:00 am (0600 GMT), authorities said.

Investigators identified the bomber as a 17-year-old local resident.

An official, who spoke to AFP on condition of anonymity, named the jacket wallah as Mikhail Zhlobitsky, a student at a local technical college.

Investigators probing the attack released a photo of the suspect -- a skinny young man with a backpack -- inside the FSB building.

Authorities cordoned off streets around the building for several hours, with police and experts combing the area for clues.
The Times of Israel adds:
A man set off a bomb at the entrance of the local branch of Russia’s main intelligence agency in a northern city Wednesday, injuring three security officials and killing himself, authorities said.

The man entered the local branch of the FSB intelligence agency in Akhangelsk and removed the improvised bomb from a bag, causing it to detonate, the National Anti-Terrorist Committee said.

The kaboom killed the man and injured three FSB officers. It was not immediately clear if the man had meant to just leave the bomb or had also intended to die.

[NYPOST] Pakistain’s Supreme Court on Wednesday freed a Christian woman from a death sentence for blasphemy against Islam and overturned her conviction, sparking angry protests and death threats from an ultra-religious party and cheers from human rights
...which are often intentionally defined so widely as to be meaningless...
advocates.

Asia Bibi, a mother of four, had been living on death row since 2010, when she became the first woman to be sentenced to death by hanging under Pakistain’s draconian blasphemy laws, which critics say are too harsh and often misused.

She was condemned for allegedly making derogatory remarks about Islam after neighbors objected to her drinking water from their glass because she was not Moslem.

Bibi has always denied blasphemy.

The case outraged Christians worldwide and has been a source of division within Pakistain, where two politicians who sought to help Bibi were assassinated.

Chief Justice Saqib Nasir, who headed a special three-person bench set up for the appeal, cited the Koran in his ruling, writing that "Tolerance is the basic principle of Islam" and noting the religion condemns injustice and oppression.

DEATH THREATS
Supporters of Islamist political party Tehrik-e-Labaik (TLP), which was founded to support blasphemy laws, immediately condemned the ruling and blocked roads in major cities, pelting police with stones in the eastern city of Lahore.

The TLP’s leadership called for the death of Nasif, the chief justice, and two other judges on the panel.

"The patron in chief of TLP, Muhammad Afzal Qadri, has issued the edict that says the chief justice and all those who ordered the release of Asia deserve death," said party front man Ejaz Ashrafi.

The party also called for the ouster of the government of new Prime Minister Imran Khan
... aka Taliban Khan, who is the lightweight's lightweight...
The TLP was founded out of a movement supporting a bodyguard who assassinated Lahore provincial governor Salman Taseer for advocating for Bibi in 2011. Federal minister for minorities Shahbaz Bhatti was also killed after calling for her release.

Bibi’s lawyer on Wednesday called the court ruling "great news" for Pakistain.

"Asia Bibi has finally been served justice," lawyer Saiful Mulook told Rooters. "Pakistain’s Supreme Court must be appreciated that it upheld the law of the land and didn’t succumb to any pressure."

Street protests and blockades of major roads were spreading by mid-afternoon, paralyzing parts of Islamabad, Lahore and other cities. Some schools in Islamabad sent students home early and long lines of cars formed at fuel stations as residents worried about prolonged protests.

U.S.-Backed Syria Force Suspends Anti-IS Attacks after Turkey Hits

shelled Kurdish militia posts in northern Syria.

The Syrian Democratic Forces, joint Arab-Kurdish units led by the Kurds, announced a "temporary halt" to their operation, launched in eastern Syria on September 10, and condemned Turkey's "provocations."

On Wednesday, Ottoman Turkish shelling of Kurdish positions in the Kobane sector of northern Syria killed four fighters, according to Turkey's state-run Anadolu news agency.

The SDF condemned what it called the "coordination" of Turkey's attacks with a fightback by jihadists and warned of "a prolonged halt to our military operation" against IS if Ankara keeps up its strikes.

Hundreds of Kurdish civilians, carrying party flags, demonstrated in the streets of the northeastern city of Qamishli to denounce the Ottoman Turkish attacks.

Backed by coalition air strikes, the SDF aims to expel IS from a holdout on the Iraqi border, but the jihadists staged a vicious fightback last week under the cover of a sand storm, forcing a retreat.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the IS counter-attack killed at least 72 fighters from the SDF, which is dominated by the Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG).

The monitoring group said hundreds of Kurdish fighters, men and women, had since been deployed on the outskirts of the IS holdout of Hajin.

On Tuesday, two days after another round of shelling of Kurdish posts in northern Syria, Turkey's President Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First

said his country had completed preparations for a new operation to "destroy" the YPG militia, which Ankara has branded a terrorist group.

The YPG has worked closely with the United States in the fight against IS jihadists in Syria, straining ties between Washington and Ankara.

US-backed forces claim Turkish military vehicle destroyed in retaliatory attack

[AlMasdar] (3:45 P.M.) – The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced on Wednesday afternoon that their troops had destroyed a Turkish military vehicle in a retaliatory attack in northern Syria.

“While our forces are leading a fierce struggle against the ISIS terrorist organization, the invader Turkish army targeted our positions along the border, violating all military engagement rules,” the SDF statement began.

“We, as the Syrian Democratic Forces, emphasize that we have the right to retaliate against any attack on our lands and, if necessary, we will not refrain from exercising this right,” they continued.

“In this context, on October 31st, the invader Turkish army violated our borders, shelling the civilian population of Selim village in the Kobane region. In accordance with the rules of military engagement, our forces carried out an action. As a result, a Turkish military vehicle was destroyed,” they added.

The SDF has released an image that they claim is the destruction of the Turkish military vehicle.

The Turkish Ministry of Defense has yet to respond to these claims from the Syrian Democratic Forces.

Meet the mob hitman suspected of killing Whitey Bulger
[NYPOST] An ex-Mafia hitman who’s being eyed as the prime suspect in the fatal beatdown of James "Whitey" Bulger can guarantee his status as a boss behind bars ‐ if he really was behind the infamous Boston gangster’s death.

Fotios "Freddy" Geas is suspected of rubbing out Bulger, 89, on Tuesday morning ‐ hours after the aging mobster was transferred to Hazelton federal penitentiary in West Virginia.

"He’s a rich man now. He’ll run any prison he’s in," a law enforcement source told MassLive.com.

Geas, 51, is serving a life sentence at Hazelton for the 2003 murders of one-time mob boss Adolfo "Big Al" Bruno and associate Gary Westerman.

The former West Springfield, Massachusetts, resident has not disputed his role in the death of Bulger, according to the Boston Globe.

A law enforcement source said the wheelchair-bound Bulger was "badly beaten" by a group of inmates, including one who used a padlock wrapped in a sock. He was found unresponsive in his cell just after 8 a.m.

As the boss of the lucrative and violent Winter Hill Gang, Bulger cemented his crew’s position as the most powerful in Boston by secretly serving as an informant for the FBI from the mid-1970s through the ’90s. The deal protected him from prosecution while he gleaned key information about sting operations and rival gangsters.

Geas has an open hatred for "rats" ‐ making Bulger a prime target.

"He has great disdain for informants," Daniel D. Kelly, a lawyer who represented both Geas and his younger brother Ty Geas in several criminal cases, told MassLive.com. "I’m not saying Freddy did this just because the media says so, I’m just telling you what I know about him."

"Freddy is a dying breed," added Kelly, who’s pals with Geas and frequently exchanges emails with him.

Geas has led a life of crime, with a rap sheet dating back to his teens. He and his brother Ty were convicted of killing Bruno, a Genovese capo, "cowboy style" in 2003.

TV report: Israel silent as Iran hit by computer virus more violent than Stuxnet
*Snicker* How very dreadful for them.
[IsraelTimes] Tehran strategic networks attacked, Hadashot TV says, hours after Israel revealed it tipped off Denmark about Iran murder plot, and days after Rouhani’s phone was found bugged

Iranian infrastructure and strategic networks have come under attack in the last few days by a computer virus similar to Stuxnet but "more violent, more advanced and more sophisticated," and Israeli officials are refusing to discuss what role, if any, they may have had in the operation, an Israeli TV report said Wednesday.

The report came hours after Israel said its Mossad intelligence agency had thwarted an Iranian murder plot in Denmark, and two days after Iran acknowledged that President Hassan Rouhani’s mobile phone had been bugged. It also follows a string of Israeli intelligence coups against Iran, including the extraction from Tehran in January by the Mossad of the contents of a vast archive documenting Iran’s nuclear weapons program, and the detailing by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the UN in September of other alleged Iranian nuclear and missile assets inside Iran, in Syria and in Leb.

"Remember Stuxnet, the virus that penetrated the computers of the Iranian nuclear industry?" the report on Israel’s Hadashot news asked. Iran "has admitted in the past few days that it is again facing a similar attack, from a more violent, more advanced and more sophisticated virus than before, that has hit infrastructure and strategic networks."

The Iranians, the TV report went on, are "not admitting, of course, how much damage has been caused."

On Sunday, Gholamreza Jalali, the head of Iran’s civil defense agency, said Tehran had neutralized a new version of Stuxnet, Rooters reported. "Recently we discovered a new generation of Stuxnet which consisted of several parts ... and was trying to enter our systems," Jalali said.

The Stuxnet virus was uncovered some eight years ago, and was widely reported to have been developed together by US and Israeli intelligence. It penetrated Iran’s rogue nuclear program, taking control and sabotaging parts of its enrichment processes by speeding up its centrifuges.

The TV report noted that "behind the scenes lately, the Mossad," under its director Yossi Cohen, has been "fighting a real shadow war."

Without attributing responsibility to the Mossad, the report mentioned the tapping of Rouhani’s phone, noting that the Iranians "had to switch it for an encrypted model because they understand that someone has been listening to him for days and weeks."

Woman who had sex with 20 ghosts is now engaged to a spirit
[NYPOST] Hopefully, she doesn’t get ghosted.

A British woman who claimed she has slept with at least 20 ghosts says she’s now engaged to a poltergeist.

In December, Amethyst Realm told British TV show "ITV This Morning" that she cheated on her fiancé with a ghost, and has since gone on to have supernatural affairs with at least 20 paranormal beings.

Well, now she says she’s found true love with an apparition.

Realm said the ghost asked her to get married during a trip to celebrate their nine-month relationship at England’s Wookey Hole caves, according to The Sun.

"There was no going down on one knee ‐ he doesn’t have knees. But for the first time, I heard him speak," she told The Sun. "I could actually hear his voice and it was beautiful. Deep, sexy and real."
He has a doinker but no knees?
The 30-year-old said she met her spooky match, who doesn’t have a name, during a work trip to Australia in February.

"I’d not had a phantom fling for a while and as I was away on business, starting a new relationship was the last thing on my mind," the Bristol-based spiritual counselor told The Sun. "Then one day, while I was walking through the bush, enjoying nature, I suddenly felt this incredible energy. A new lover had arrived."

Realm said her friends and family have embraced her unusual engagement and now she is planning her big day as a "Pagan" ceremony.

"We haven’t discussed the details yet but I think it will be quite a big do," she said.

However,
alcohol has never solved anybody's problems. But then, neither has milk...
the couple already had sex on the plane back from Australia when they first met.

"I was happy and excited ‐ so excited that we had to do something about it," she said. "So we headed to the plane loo and, well, I am now a member of the Mile High Club."

The bride-to-be added that this engagement is much more satisfying than her previous living fiancé.

"Sometimes I get the feeling that I’m being moved," she said. "Orgasms I have with my spirit lovers have been way more satisfying than any I’ve had with ordinary men."

Nigerian Shia group says 42 killed when security forces fired upon protests
[Al Ahram] The movement of a locked away
Youse'll never take me alive coppers!... [BANG!]... Ow!... I quit!
Nigerian Shia holy man whose followers have repeatedly been targeted by the authorities said on Wednesday security forces had killed 42 of its members during two days of violent crackdowns on protests in the capital Abuja.

Security forces opened fire with live ammunition on members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) who had marched in their hundreds to demand the release of their leader Ibrahim Zakzaky, locked away
Youse'll never take me alive coppers!... [BANG!]... Ow!... I quit!
since 2015 when the army killed hundreds of his followers at his compound and a nearby mosque and burial ground.

The IMN raised its corpse count on Wednesday from the two previous days' violence to 42 from an earlier figure of 25. The toll included seven people who died of injuries received on Tuesday and 35 killed the previous day, said Ibrahim Musa, an IMN front man.

On Monday, the army opened fire on the marchers on the outskirts of Abuja. On Tuesday, the police shot at the protesters in the city centre, issuing a statement later that day saying 400 IMN members were detained. The statement did not mention any deaths.

Police and army spokesmen did not respond to phone calls seeking comment on the updated corpse count. The army has said that three IMN members were killed on Monday.

Zakzaky was charged in April this year with murder over the 2015 violence, after being held for more than two years. Authorities ignored a court ruling during the period before he was charged that he be released, sparking protests from his followers.

IMN protests have frequently been met with force. In April, police fired bullets and tear gas during days of protests by IMN, wounding at least four protesters.

President Muhammadu has in the past accused the Shia of creating "a state within a state", though he said at the time that civilian deaths could not be justified. Since then, however, the government has remained largely silent on accusations it has used excessive force against the group.

Around half of Nigeria's 190 million people are Moslems. Although virtually all of them are Sunnis, Zakzaky has attracted an estimated 3 million followers as a preacher of Shia Islam since being drawn to that sect by the 1979 revolution in Iran.

The repression of IMN and detention of its leader have drawn criticism from international human rights
...which are often intentionally defined so widely as to be meaningless...
watchdogs and raised concern that the group could become radicalised, just as the Sunni Moslem bad boy group Boko Haram
... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality...
turned into a violent insurgency in 2009 after police potted its leader.

Ahwazi official tells Al Arabiya English details of Iran attack in Denmark
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] In a new development regarding Denmark’s move to recall its ambassador to Iran, it has been revealed that a foiled attack was targeting the leader of the "Arab Struggle Movement for the Liberation of Ahwaz" who is residing in the Scandinavian country.

In an interview with Al Arabiya English the front man of the "Arab Struggle Movement for the Liberation of Ahwaz" Yaquob Hurr al-Tisteri said that the Danish security authorities thwarted an attempt targeting the head of the movement Habib Jaber.

When asked whether this failed plan is a continuation of the plan that led to the liquidation of Ahmed Mawla (who was also a leader of the "Struggle Movement") last year in the Netherlands, al-Tisteri said: "Iran has never stopped its plots against our Arab Ahwazi people and its activists, especially since our cause and the struggle of our people has now escalated considerably, but certainly this will not discourage the movement of the struggle and the rest of our organizations from going forward to lift the injustice and oppression of our people and their right to self-determination."

The front man revealed that they are coordinating with a law firm in the Scandinavian country "to prepare a legal file based on the available information on the role of the Iranian regime in this failed attack to be presented to the Danish judiciary."

He confirmed during the interview that "Denmark has officially announced that it will move to urge the EU countries to take a common stand against the Iranian regime for its direct role in this thwarted operation," adding "the Danish security chief also issued a strong warning to the Iranian intelligence services’ reluctance to repeat any attempt of this kind."

Tisteri concluded by saying that: "The failed operation that was revealed today is a consistent Iranian approach toward the demands of our fair Ahwazi people and the demands of other non-Persian peoples, and once again shows that the Iranian state has no solutions other than terrorism against just demands."

Gabon suspends Cameroon TV station over ‘fake’ Bongo death report
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] A private Cameroon
...a long, narrow country that fills the space between Nigeria and Chad on the northeast, CAR to the southeast. Prior to incursions by Boko Haram nothing ever happened there...
ian television station has been barred from broadcasting for six months in neighboring Gabon after erroneously reporting the death of President Ali Bongo Ondimba, Libreville authorities said.

Vision 4, thought to be close to the Cameroonian government, reported on Saturday that the Gabonese president had died.

Bongo’s spokesperson Ike Ngouoni said on Sunday that doctors have diagnosed him with "severe fatigue" and ordered bed rest.

Ngouoni called for "vigilance" against "fake news" after Vision 4’s report.

Gabon’s broadcasting authority HAC, which met on Tuesday, said in a statement that the "incorrect and false" report had "undermined national unity, social cohesion and public order".

Bongo took over as leader of the oil-rich equatorial African nation in 2009 on the death of his father Omar Bongo, who had ruled since 1967.

Ali Bongo was re-elected in 2016 by just a few thousand votes in a controversial presidential election.

Shift in religious discourse on sexual harassment in Egypt
No more Eve teasing? How can that be?
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Sexual harassment has for years been plaguing the Egyptian society and endless initiatives were launched in an attempt to counter the growing phenomenon. It was only recently that al-Azhar, Egypt’s highest religious authority, decided to step in. Following an incident that went viral on social media, al-Azhar issued a statement in which it supported the criminalization of sexual harassment regardless of the circumstances and asserted that sexual harassment is religiously forbidden. The most remarkable part of the statement was the one about women’s responsibility, which has always been a point of contention in the debate about sexual harassment especially amongst religious scholars.

"Linking sexual harassment to women’s behavior or clothes is unacceptable," said the statement. "Sexual harassment is a violation of women’s privacy, freedom, and dignity and its prevalence compromises their feelings of security." The statement added that a society only becomes civilized when it respects women. Through its unconditional support for women, the statement did mark a major shift in religious discourse in Egypt, but whether it would have the desired impact on the ground remains to be seen.

While the statement conveyed an undebatable state on sexual harassment, questions about whether different departments and scholars at al-Azhar adopt the same view. This was mainly because a few hours after the statement was issued, the Azhar-affiliated Global Center for Electronic Religious Edicts, issued a report in which women were partially held accountable for sexual harassment. The report, which constituted the conclusion of a workshop on sexual harassment organized by the center, cited women’s appearance as one of the triggers of sexual harassment. "We condemn men’s behavior, but this does not mean that women are not to blame," said the report. "While men are required not to gaze at women, women are also required to cover up."

Diyala dead dudes: 3 innocents kaboomed, 3 turbans permanently unwound

Three Iraqis wounded as two bomb blasts rock Diyala

Diyala (IraqiNews.com) – Three Iraqi people, including a policeman, were wounded Wednesday in two separate bomb attacks in northeastern Diyala, a security source from the province was quoted as saying.

Speaking to Baghdad Today website, the source said that two civilians were wounded when a bomb exploded on an agricultural road on the outskirts of Jalawla, 70 km northeast of Baqubah.

“Another bomb attack targeted a police patrol near Khanaqin city, 100 km northeast of Baqubah, leaving a policeman injured,” the source further said.

He added that the injured were moved to hospital for treatment and security forces launched a probe into the two attacks.

No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack, but the Islamic State (IS) militant group, in most cases, is responsible for attacks targeting crowded areas, including markets, cafes and mosques across Iraq.

Three IS militants, including senior leader, killed in Iraq’s Diyala

Diyala (IraqiNews.com) – Three Islamic State militants, including a senior leader, were killed Wednesday during a security operation in northeastern Diyala.

“Security forces launched a security operation, under the directives of Diyala Police Chief Maj. Gen. Faisal al-Abadi, to pursue Islamic State cells near Qarah Tabbah district in northeastern Diyala,” Mawazin News quoted Spokesman for Diyala Police Colonel Ghalib al Attiya as saying.

The spokesman noted that the operation “resulted in killing three Islamic State militants, including a senior leader.”

Arabia
U.S. Calls for Yemen Ceasefire
[An Nahar] The United States called Tuesday for a ceasefire and peace talks in Yemen, as the Saudi-led military coalition sent more than 10,000 new troops toward a vital rebel-held port city ahead of a new assault.

Pentagon chief Jim Mattis said the US had been watching the conflict "for long enough," adding that Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
and the United Arab Emirates, which are in a US-backed coalition fighting Shiite Houthis, are ready for talks.

"We have got to move toward a peace effort here, and we can't say we are going to do it some time in the future," Mattis said at the US Institute of Peace in Washington.

"We need to be doing this in the next 30 days."

He said the US is calling for all warring parties to meet with United Nations
...aka the Oyster Bay Chowder and Marching Society...
special envoy Martin Griffiths in Sweden in November and "come to a solution."

US-Saudi ties have cooled in recent weeks after the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, a prominent critic of the conservative kingdom, that has also tarnished the image of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman
...Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia as of 2016....
.

Saudi Arabia and its allies intervened in the conflict between embattled Yemeni President Abedrabbo Mansour Hadi, whose government is recognized by the United Nations, and the Huthis in 2015.

Teenage boy killed in AJK due to cross-LoC shelling by Indian troops
[DAWN] A teenage boy lost his life in Leepa valley of Azad Jammu and Kashmire (AJK) after Indian troops resorted to heavy shelling on Wednesday, a day after less intense firing by them in Neelum Valley, officials said.

Eighteen-year-old Haroon fell victim to the Indian shelling in Bijildhar village of Leepa Valley, located nearly 100 kilometres southeast of Muzaffarabad.

Imran Shaheen, the deputy commissioner of Hattian Bala, of which Leepa Valley is an administrative unit, told Dawn that the shelling began at about 4pm and was continued into the evening.

"Due to darkness and poor telecommunication links with the mountainous area we are unable to immediately ascertain complete information of losses," he said.

"Once the shelling stops or at least subsides, we may receive exact detail of losses," he added.

Shaukat Javed Mir, a PPP leader belonging to Leepa Valley, told Dawn that the shelling was intense and caused panic in the area.

"Those who have bunkers or trenches within or alongside their houses have taken shelter there due to which we are unable to establish contact with anyone there," he said.

According to Mir, there had also been shelling for more than an hour in the morning, "but from post to post" on opposite sides.

Since a similar exchange of fire between the rival troops had also taken place on the night of October 26, the civilian population was caught off guard when Indian troops started pounding the area with mortar shells in the afternoon, he said.

The last civilian casualty in Leepa Valley was reported on February 21, when a teenaged boy was critically injured in Indian shelling.

Erdogan's Turkey Remembers Defiant WW1 Battles, Not Defeat
Funny thing, last night I watched The Day of the Siege: September Eleven 1683. The Turks lost that one, too.
Telling that he dwells on the considerably less than glorious recent past rather than the glorious conquests of earlier centuries...
[An Nahar] World War I ended with the Ottoman Empire vanquished and facing imminent collapse, its doomed alliance with Imperial Germany costing hundreds of thousands of Ottoman lives and dealing a death blow to the already creaking empire.

But 100 years after the surrender of the Ottomans to the Allied powers at Mudros on October 30, 1918, the Great War is in no way seen as a pointless waste or even a defeat by modern The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....

leaders were killed Wednesday in an artillery shelling by the Popular Mobilization Forces on the Syrian city of al-Baghuz on the border with Iraq.

"Artillery shells were fired against three hotbeds of Islamic State near the Syrian city of al-Baghuz, leaving two Islamic State leaders dead," Alghad Press website quoted deputy commander of the Popular Mobilization Forces as saying in a statement.

"The pair, codenamed as Abu Sayyaf
...also known as al-Harakat al-Islamiyya, an Islamist terror group based in Jolo, Basilan and Zamboanga. Since its inception in the early 1990s, the group has carried out bombings, kidnappings, murders, head choppings, and extortion in their uniquely Islamic attempt to set up an independent Moslem province in the Philippines. Abu Sayyaf forces probably number less than 300 cadres. The group is closely allied with remnants of Indonesia's Jemaah Islamiya and has loose ties with MILF and MNLF who sometimes provide cannon fodder...
and Abu Laith, were standing behind the recent attacks against the Syrian Democratic Forces stationed on the Iraqi-Syrian border," added the statement.

On Sunday, Iraqi Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi stressed the need for tightening security along the border with neighboring Syria to eradicate terrorist groups scattered there.

25 killed in Afghan army helicopter crash: Officials
[Al Ahram] An Afghan army helicopter carrying 25 people crashed in western Afghanistan on Wednesday, killing all those on board, officials said.

The aircraft crashed due to "bad weather" in Anar Dara district, which borders Iran, Farah provincial governor front man Nasir Mehri said.

The Taliban

claimed its snuffies brought it down.

Both pilots and 23 passengers were killed.

Among the dead were the deputy army corps commander for western Afghanistan and the head of the Farah provincial council, Mehri said.

Provincial council member Dadullah Qaneh said the helicopter hit a mountain peak in poor weather en route to neighbouring Herat

province.

Senior government and military officials often travel by helicopter in regions where the Taliban has a large presence.

Iraq Clears Swedish Woman Accused of Belonging to IS
[An Nahar] A court in the Iraqi capital on Wednesday cleared a Swedish woman of allegations that she belonged to the Islamic State

group due to lack of evidence, a judicial source said.

Under Iraq's anti-terrorism law, courts can sentence to death anyone found guilty of belonging to IS, including non-combatants.

Victoria Lazar, a Swede of Serbian origin in her late 20s, was acquitted of the charge "for lack of sufficient evidence", the judicial source told AFP.

But she was sentenced in a separate case to six months in prison for illegally entering Iraq, the source added.

During questioning, Lazar had told interrogators she had come to Iraq with her husband and their three children, now aged five, four and three.

She said her husband had been killed in 2016 during bombing of Tal Afar, near djinn-infested Mosul
... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn...
in the north of the country.

More than 300 people, including around 100 foreigners, have been sentenced to death and many others to life imprisonment in Iraq for joining IS, the Sunni bad boy group which at its peak controlled nearly a third of the country.

Iraqi security kill 4 suicide bombers who planned to target Shi’ite visitors
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) ‐ Iraqi authorities announced on Wednesday killing four jacket wallahs, who planned to target Shi’ite visitors during the religious ritual of Arbaeen.

In a statement, a copy of which was obtained by Ayn Al Iraq website, the Baghdad Operations Command said that its security forces "launched preemptive security operations to foil any possible terrorist attacks against Shi’ite visitors."

"The operations resulted in killing four suicide bombers in al-Radwania and al-Tarmia districts in Baghdad and arresting tens of terrorists, who were plotting to target the visitors," the command said, adding that the security plan adopted to secure Arbaeen rituals this year was "successful".

Arbaeen marks the end of a 40-day mourning period following Ashura, the religious ritual that commemorates the death of the Prophet Mohammad’s grandson Imam Hussein in 680.

Shi’ites are considered apostates by hardline Sunni Islamist holy warriors.

Pakistan PM calls for calm after Aasia Bibi cleared of blasphemy
[Al Jazeera] Pak Prime Minister Imran Khan
... aka Taliban Khan, who is the lightweight's lightweight...
has appealed for calm after far-right protesters blocked roads in several major cities following the Supreme Court's acquittal of a Christian woman who had been sentenced to death on blasphemy charges.

Aasia Bibi, 53, who has been death row for eight years, was acquitted by the country's top court on Wednesday morning.

Bibi's case had become emblematic of fair trial concerns in cases Pakistain’s strict blasphemy laws, and on Wednesday judges found there had been "glaring and stark" contradictions in the prosecution's case against her.

The announcement of the verdict prompted thousands to protest across the country, rallied by the far-right Tehrik-e-Labbaik Pakistain (TLP) political party and religious organization.

The TLP, headed by Khadim Hussain Rizvi, has campaigned on the issue of blasphemy for years and has been calling for Bibi to be executed since its inception.

On Wednesday, TLP leader Afzal Qadri called for the three Supreme Court judges who heard Bibi’s appeal to be killed.

"[The judges] who have ordered the release of the accused Aasia are all liable to be killed under religious edict," said Qadri at a protest in the eastern city of Lahore.

In a televised address to the nation, Prime Minister Khan rebuked the TLP for taking the law into their own hands, accusing them of stirring up religious sentiments for political gain.

"I say to these people: do not confront this state ... do not damage this country for your vote bank," said Khan.

"If you do this, I promise that the government will do its duty ... I ask you: do not force the government to have to take action."

Blasphemy against Islam and its Prophet is a sensitive subject in Pakistain, where the crime can carry a compulsory death sentence.

murderous Moslems were killed and hundreds injured by air strikes launched by the Arab coalition on the militias’ training camp in the district of Marawha of Hodeidah.

The media center of the Yemeni army’s Giant Brigades quoted field sources as saying that the coalition aircraft launched several heavy air raids on a training camp for the Houthi militias, and that the Iran-backed murderous Moslems imposed a security cordon around the camp and prevented any approach. Houthi vehicles were seen transporting the dead and maimed outside the city after the strikes.

The hospitals in Hodeidah were packed with the bodies of hundreds of dead and maimed from Houthi button men, and Houthi security supervisors were directed to stop receiving patients and assigned hospitals to receive the bodies of the dead and maimed from their militias who were killed by the raids.
