#9 Oh, ferchrissakes. If you're that afraid of catching something,

(1) shake hands (unless the other person has an obvious skin disease, in which case he shouldn't be offering his hand)

(2) keep your hands away from your face (particularly eyes and nose)

(3) use hand sanitizer at the first opportunity

(4) GROW UP

#10 I had the opportunity to mention this article to a post-op hospital nurse today (trailing daughter #1 had her wisdom teeth removed this morning). She immediately turned around and washed her hands before putting in her sterile gloves... then removing the bloody gauze from td#1's mouth.

Possible MERS pandemic avoided. ;-)
