Social media appear to be planning to censor the truth about the Democrats prior to the November election
[AmericanThinker] Social media apparently are planning on turbo-charging the censoring of conservative voices — particularly ones who criticize Democrats — leading up to the midterm elections. How do I know this? What happened to me on Twitter last weekend cannot be an accident and is enough evidence for me. That's how.

What I am about to report is anecdotal. But from little anecdotes, great forests of fake news and censorship can grow.

Last weekend, I read an article at Yahoo News that was originally published at the certifiably left-wing site The Daily Beast. The article's title was "'Shocking' Monkeypox Screw-Up Means We Need to Admit We Now Face Two Pandemics." The message was clear: another major pandemic is imminent, and the federal government and the tail wagging the dog — the medical establishment — will soon be unveiling draconian plans to combat it, similar to what went down for two years with COVID-19.

The Global Food System and Totalitarian Control
[lionessofjudah] Politicians are more or less so warped by party feeling, by selfishness, or prejudices, that their minds are not altogether balanced. They are the most difficult to cure of all insane people. —Robert E. Lee, from his personal journal, circa 1860

A decline in courage may be the most striking feature that an outside observer notices in the West today. The Western world has lost its civic courage. Such a decline in courage is particularly noticeable among the ruling and intellectual elite, causing an impression of a loss of courage by the entire society. —Aleksandr I. Solzhenitsyn

Sick cultures show a complex of symptoms such as you have named...but a dying culture invariably exhibits personal rudeness. Bad manners. Lack of consideration for others in minor matters. A loss of politeness, of gentle manners, is more significant than is a riot. —Robert A. Heinlein, in his book Friday

For us in Russia, communism is a dead dog, while, for many people in the West, it is still a living lion. —Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn

As a youngster, my church and my family educated me as to what was coming in the future, Biblically and politically. I knew about communism, but back then I didn’t know it had been around since the early 19th century. President Kennedy was shot and killed when I was a junior in high school. Then came the murders of Martin Luther King and two months later, Bobby Kennedy. Tanks rolled down the streets of Chicago in April and August of 1968, and a 10 p.m. curfew was declared for the entire city. Apartment buildings were boarded in case of attacks by rioters. Chicago was on fire, looting and burning was everywhere after King’s death. Mayor Richard J. Daley told the police, shoot to injure if they are stealing, shoot to kill if they’re starting fires.

Mikhail Khodorkovsky 'Putin's oldest enemy' has advice for Western leaders (video)

War in Ukraine. Summary 20.07.2022
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin

[ColonelCassad] 1. Seversk.
Fighting in the area of Serebryanka and Verkhnekamensky, processing the heights around the city, on which the Armed Forces of Ukraine are still holding.

The enemy withdrew part of the forces from the city. Reports about the capture of Seversk are still ahead of events.

The Seversk-Soledar road is controlled by the enemy, but is subjected to artillery strikes by the RF Armed Forces.

2. Soledar.
The enemy was practically ousted from Berestovoye, but so far there is no complete control over the destroyed village.

Battles near Yakovlevka, Belogorovka and Ivano-Daryevka. The enemy has completely withdrawn from Novaya Kamenka, but still continues to try to challenge the control of the RF Armed Forces over Stryapovka.
The assault on Soledar itself has not yet been carried out.

3. Artemovsk.
Fighting in Pokrovsky, part of the village is controlled by the RF Armed Forces. The capture of Pokrovsky will allow the RF Armed Forces to begin advancing to the eastern and northeastern outskirts of Artemovsk.
Fights at Veselaia Dolina, Zaitsevo, Semigorye and Uglegorsk TPP.

4. Dzerzhinsk.
Without changes. It is worth noting the work from the cabriolet of Ukrainian helicopters in the village on the outskirts of Gorlovka.

5. Avdievka.
Fighting at Novoselka-2, Kamenka, Novobakhmutovka, New York. There are no significant changes. The enemy continues to shell Donetsk and other cities. There are civilian dead. Our troops continue to work along Avdievka.

6. Slavyansk.
Fights at the Valley, Bogorodichny, Prishib, Sidorovo. No major progress yet.

The RF Armed Forces continue to inflict intensive strikes on targets in the region of Kramatorsk and Slavyansk. The enemy expects the start of an offensive on Slavyansk immediately after the breakthrough of the Seversk-Soledar line, as well as a possible strike on Barvenkovo in the Izyum direction, where the front has taken on a positional character.

7. Kharkov.
In addition to the ongoing fighting near Verkhniy Saltov, Veseloe, Tsupovka and Uda, there is some movement of the RF Armed Forces towards the Pitomnik in the area of the Great Passages.

Attacks on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Kharkov and Chuguev continue. The enemy continues to shell Cossack Lopan, from where the evacuation of the population began. Border villages are also shelled.

8. Ugledarsk.
The front, after the recent battles for Pavlovka and Yegorovka, has now stabilized. Fighting continues in Maryinka and for Novomikhailovka. Our troops cleared Staromayorskoye and somewhat improved their positions in the area of Velikaya Novoselovka.

9. Zaporozhye.
On the line Kamenskoye-Orekhov-Gulyaipole-Velikaya Novoselovka without major changes. The enemy is preparing for activation in the Zaporizhia direction.

The RF Armed Forces launch pre-emptive missile strikes.

Today, the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant with a kamikaze UAV. Radiation background is normal. The very fact itself puts on the agenda both the very vulnerability of nuclear power plants with all the ensuing consequences, and the possibility of retaliatory strikes on the energy infrastructure of Ukraine + accelerating Ukraine's disconnection from the Zaporizhzhya NPP.

10. Nikolaev.
The enemy continues to prepare for an offensive in the Krivoy Rog direction and strikes at the logistics infrastructure of the RF Armed Forces. Another blow was struck on the Antonovsky bridge, which was significantly damaged. With current trends, the bridge can be rendered unusable within 1-2 weeks.

The RF Armed Forces continue to strike at the Nikolaev grouping, inflicting significant losses on it and hindering the preparation of possible active operations in the Kherson direction.

Gauleiter Nikolaev threatens to clean up the disloyal population of Nikolaev, who on a regular basis surrenders the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to the RF Armed Forces, as a result of which the enemy suffers considerable losses.

Bad jokes: the network ridiculed Kadyrov's series about Zelensky
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[KavkazUzel] Ramzan Kadyrov, by publishing "humorous videos" about Vladimir Zelensky, made an attempt not only to humiliate the President of Ukraine, but also to exalt himself, netizens pointed out. Who is behind the creation of these videos, how Kadyrov is increasing his popularity in social networks, and whether parody videos will help him in this, the "Caucasian Knot" report says.

WHAT IS KADYROV JOKING ABOUT?
Since July 4, the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, has been publishing on the social network a series of "series" "The Adventures of Zelensky", ridiculing Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky. The head of Chechnya himself took part in the filming of the commercials.

Fighting the Crisis in the Anti-Russian Coalition
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin

[ColonelCassad] There are simultaneous attempts by the Atlantic establishment to stop the consequences of political crises in Italy and Britain.

1. After Prime Minister Draghi resigned, it was first rejected, and now they are already trying to play a scenario where there will be a technical re-formation of the ruling coalition and re-approval of the government through a vote of confidence. It is noteworthy that Draghi calls "confrontation with Russia" one of the main goals.

2. Similarly, one can observe efforts to get Liz Truss into the final vote for the post of British Prime Minister, where Truss is seen as a continuation of the Johnson course, while Sunak, as a protege of the City, focuses more on the economy than on Ukraine.

Truss and Draghi are needed by the operators of the war in Ukraine in order to postpone the open crisis of the coalition in support of the war in Ukraine and to prevent the withdrawal of Britain and Italy from their roles in the Ukrainian war in order to stabilize the economic situation.

Therefore, they are trying to save one, and promote the second. And the population must endure. Which will make the situation for the Italian and British governments in matters of domestic politics stable-unstable.

Of course, the situation in France and Germany also remains unstable, where the failure of the ruling parties in the elections exacerbates internal contradictions against the background of the economic crisis.

Atlantists now have to make considerable efforts to avoid the spread of the "anti-Russian coalition" due to the growing socio-economic tension.

Much will determine the outcome of the midterm elections in the US, where the defeat of the Democrats could set off a chain reaction in vassal states.

‘Shrinkflation' in restaurant portions causing spike in diner complaints
[NYP] A growing number of customers are grumbling online about receiving smaller portions while dining as so-called "shrinkflation" takes hold at struggling businesses, according to data from review site Yelp.

Restaurants and other businesses are down on serving sizes due to the onset of decades-high inflation. Yelp users have started to take notice of the trend, with reviews containing "inflationary language" up 28% in the second quarter of 2022 compared to the same period last year.

"We saw reviewers use inflation-related language at record levels, particularly in the dining, arts and entertainment and travel categories," said Pria Mudan, data science leader at Yelp. "And for the first time, reviewers are describing shrinkflation-related experiences where the size or quantity of goods are noticeably smaller."

Shrinkflation "is most referenced at restaurants serving more affordable fare," Mudan added. Reviews mentioning inflation-related experiences jumped 38% year-over-year at casual restaurants, 36% at food businesses and 30% at nightlife businesses.

Restaurants serving popular, traditionally low-cost items such as hot dogs, hamburgers and pizza generated the most "shrinkflation"-related complaints, according to Yelp’s report. Customers also grumbled about serving sizes at seafood spots and restaurants serving Italian or Chinese food.

Across the world, environmentalists leave only misery in their wake
[NYPOST] Without a doubt, the climate-obsessed green movement is the most stupidly self-destructive force in the world today, leaving a trail of irrationality, folly and misery wherever it goes.

Consider its recent record of destroying Sri Lanka, making Western Europa

needlessly vulnerable to Russian President Vladimir Putin

#1  The Greens are an outgrowth of the late 60's environmental movement, after Love Canal and the burning river near Cleveland. It has continued to grow, as regulations are wont to do, and has been fed by media -- who has people who don't remember the 60's -- thinking the US environment is dirtier than ever before.

SCOTUS stopping the EPA from regulating CO2 (starving plants, anyone?) is a hopeful step, but just a minor bump in the road to the Greenists.

Home Front: Politix
Bye-Bye Biden
[American Thinker] Would any other American president have committed as many gaffes and missteps as Joe Biden has and still be said to love America?

What other free-country world leader has treated his own people so badly and been allowed to stay in office?

What other world leader cannot string two cogent sentences together and still remain in office? Joe Biden is non compos mentis and should remove himself from the White House before he is removed by his own party or before he further collapses the American economy and its status on the world stage. It cannot get much worse.

Clearly, the man is cognitively in decline. His many gaffes, word salads, blank stares, popcorn temper flare-ups, weird demeanors, creepy whisperings, touchy-feely gropings with women and children, and his monumentally wrong-headed economic policies are enough to turn the strongest of stomachs.

Biden has single-handedly destroyed America's energy independence.

He has personally made America a ridiculous paper tiger in the eyes of our enemies who want us dead or conquered.

Joe Biden has fist-bumped the most powerful oil producer on the planet in a way that signals an utter lack of seriousness.

He has opened the borders and welcomed terrorists and murderers.

Biden seems to deliberately want to link arms with the socialists among us in order to drag America's standard of living down to that of Venezuela's. Food shortages, brownouts and blackouts, a severely reduced reputation as the planet's finest fighting force, and other admirable things America was known to have been destroyed or crippled by this impaired president.

Joe's policies are bankrupting America.

In order to kowtow to the climate cretins in Congress whose policies would further damage our economy, he has implemented policies and executive orders that drag America down from the Trump-high economy and energy independence to the Biden-low of scarcity, inflated prices, worker shortages, and supply line problems that would never have happened under Trump.

His failure to address the light-speed increase in crime is inexcusable.

He has done all that with the energy of an aging retriever and the political instincts of Barbra Streisand.

Joe Biden has done more to drop-kick America back to the political, fiscal, and energy Stone Age than any president in memory.

Under Biden, our social and economic infrastructure has been all but decimated. It is almost as if he has signed on to an America-last agenda. For that matter, does he even know what his agenda is? Or has he delegated his presidency to pre-Trump power brokers?

Worst of all, Joe Biden's policies regarding racial matters have reignited a previously placid racial state. He is now exacerbating a simmering situation between white and black that hasn't been seen since the '60s.

A lot of people are predicting a REDO of the 2020 Election Steal for the Mid-Terms. Just using adjusted voter fraud tactics.

Otherwise, a 2023 GOP chaired Congressional hearing on his Mental Fitness and the many illegal political stunts that the LSD's pulled while controlling him have pulled will happen.

My Question:
When MSM acts repeatedly as a Political Propaganda arm and not a Free Press, has it earned the same protections awarded a Free Press?

eg. When it deliberately publishes false and misleading information (Russia Gate & etc.) knowing that its actions would allow its political allies to abuse and violate the US Constitution Articles of Impeachment and the freedom of others to promote their political agenda?

Perhaps it's time to kick Joe Manchin out of the Democratic party, by Robert Reich...
...Am I the only one picturing Bob holding a gun to his own head and saying, "One wrong move, and the Democrats get it!!"...?
[TheGuardian] After putting a final spear through the heart of what remained of Biden's and the Democrats' domestic agenda, West Virginia's Democratic senator Joe Manchin now rejects any tax increases on big corporations or the wealth until inflation is no longer a problem.

This is rich, in every sense of the word. Raising taxes on big American corporations and the wealthy would not fuel inflation. It would slow inflation by reducing demand; and do it in a way that wouldn't hurt lower-income Americans (such as those living in, say, West Virginia).

Manchin's state is one of the poorest in America. West Virginia ranks 45th in education, 47th in healthcare, 48th in overall prosperity and 50th in infrastructure.

Tax revenue from corporations and billionaires could be used to rebuild West Virginia, among other places that need investment around America.

But Manchin doesn’t seem to give a cluck. After all, the Democrats’ agenda — which Manchin has obliterated — included pre-K education, free community college, child subsidies, Medicare dental and vision benefits, paid family leave, elder care, and much else — all of enormous value to West Virginia. (On a per-person basis, West Virginians would have benefitted more than the residents of all but two other states.)

Science & Technology
Is THIS the key to cutting carbon emissions? Scientists are developing a TRAIN that can capture CO2 from the air – and say each car could remove 3,000 TONNES per year
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Except that cutting carbon emissions is a really, really bad idea. Scientists would do better to figure out how to put more CO2 into the air, and plant more food crops to make use of it.

back in 1960 or so it was about 320 ppm and we had enough to grow flowers, trees, wheat, etc.

#11  And let's not forget, drop down past 150ppm, and ALL plants will die. We are still in CO2 starvation. Normal is about 1200-1800 ppm.

#12  And how much carbon is generated from pulling that train? Is it an electric train?
Posted by: Skidmark || 07/21/2022 14:26 Comments || Top||

#13
After a sufficient amount of CO2 has been captured in the collection chamber, it is concentrated and stored in a liquid reservoir.

The liquid can be emptied from the train at a crew change or fuelling stop to be transported into the circular carbon economy or to nearby geological landfill sites.

I take it to mean they release it into green belts or something?

#14  Okay, the science does seem a little... cooky.

#15  Doing a quick search...
3000 tonnes of CO2/year sounds like about the capacity of a "Coldjet P750", (here) which needs about 17KW, which would be of order 45 panels (with some scale depending on time of day, latitude, cloudiness, etc). Panels tend to be about 1.6 square meters.

That's without trying to make this go anywhere. And the cold air output might not be friendly.

#18  Netherlands is going to burn more coal.

China’s been burning more coal. Germany is joining the trend because Germans — legitimately — do not accept being cold except while hiking and skiing... and then only if there is hot cocoa with Schnapps at the end of it. What is the point of working very hard and living sensibly if at the end it feels the same as when one was poor?
