Guilty Until Proven Innocent: Mueller Upends Rule of Law, in Final Appearance‐Sidney Powell
[Epoch Times] When special counsel Robert Mueller formally closed the Russia investigation on May 29, he opened the door to wide-ranging speculation as to the intent behind his statement. In the eyes of former Texas prosecutor Sidney Powell, Mueller’s words stood the rule of law and the presumption of innocence on their heads.

Today we sit down with Sidney Powell, who is the author of "Licensed to Lie: Exposing Corruption in the Department of Justice." She was lead counsel in more than 500 appeals in the Fifth Circuit, and she is ranked by her Texas peers as a "Super Lawyer." We discuss the implications of special counsel Mueller’s May 29 press conference, the recent DOJ decision to not prosecute a serial leaker, corruption in the DOJ in general, and what can be done to correct it.

Jan Jekielek: You are the author of the book "Licensed to Lie: Exposing Corruption in the Department of Justice." And you wrote this book in 2014, maybe long before there was such an overt knowledge that there is corruption, makes you an expert on these issues. Recently, special counsel Mueller tended his resignation, did a press conference. A lot of people have a lot to say about that. I’m sure you do. What are your thoughts?

Sidney Powell: I was extremely disappointed in Mr. Mueller’s press conference. Yes, I published the book hoping to put an end to the corruption and the Department of Justice so people could see what was going on, and instead it simply gotten worse as evidenced by Mr. Mueller’s press conference yesterday in which he literally stands the rule of law and the presumption of innocence on their head. I mean, just completely turns the presumption of innocence upside down and puts the burden on the president to prove that he’s innocent instead of accepting the burden on the government to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt or even probable cause to indict, which they clearly didn’t have. In fact, all you have to do is go to volume two, page nine of Mr. Mueller’s report. I think it’s the second paragraph that starts talking about how they’re talking about statutes in an ordinary case ... potentially relevant obstruction of justice statutes in an ordinary case. To know that means they have absolutely nothing with which they can charge the president of the United States, even were he not the president of the United States. You don’t conduct a two-year investigation and then come out with 248 pages of smear tactics, which is exactly what volume two of the report was, and then talk about potentially relevant statutes. You either have a clear violation of a federal statute or you don’t. And that’s really all that should have been said there. We don’t have a violation of any federal obstruction statute.

Mr. Jekielek: So, Sidney, for the benefit of our audience, how is the presumption of innocence exactly turned on its head here?

Did 'silencer' make a difference in Virginia Beach carnage?
"Suppressor" you Journolist Morons
[Yahoo] The shooter who killed 12 people in a government office building in Virginia Beach used a firearm equipped with a suppressor that muffles the sound of gunfire. It's the nightmare scenario that gun-control advocates have warned about amid efforts in recent years to ease restrictions on the devices, which they say can help shooters escape detection and inflict more carnage.

But gun-rights advocates and most law enforcement experts say DeWayne Craddock's use of a suppressor likely had no bearing on his ability to kill so many people in so little time Friday.

Last May, Louisiana-based preacher Jesse Duplantis announced he was seeking donations so he could purchase a $54 million private jet.

“I really believe that if Jesus was physically on the Earth today, he wouldn’t be riding a donkey,” Duplantis said at the time. “He’d be in an airplane preaching the gospel all over the world.”

Just wow.

Congress Can't Outsource Impeachment
[WSJ] It’s as if nothing happened. Special counsel Robert Mueller and the Justice Department found no wrongdoing by President Trump, so House Democrats stepped up their calls for impeachment. Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler issued a subpoena for millions of pages of evidence gathered by Mr. Mueller, including grand-jury material, which is secret under the law. When the department didn’t comply, Democrats said there was a "constitutional crisis," and the committee voted to hold Attorney General William Barr in contempt.

Yet if there is a constitutional crisis, its source is the Democrats. They are abusing the powers of investigation and impeachment in an illegitimate effort to unseat a president they despise.

Congressional Democrats claim they have the power to investigate the president to conduct "oversight" and hold him "accountable." That elides an important constitutional distinction. As the Supreme Court said in Watkins v. U.S. (1957), Congress may "inquire into and publicize corruption, maladministration or inefficiency in agencies of the Government." Executive departments and agencies are created by Congress and therefore accountable to it. The president, by contrast, is not a creature of lawmakers. He is Congress’s coequal, accountable to Congress only via impeachment.

#1  ..."Aye,", said one Mr. W. Shakespeare of Stratford-on-Avon, Warwicks., "There's the rub."

The House has painted itself into a corner, and there really is no longer any way out. If they hold the hearings and investigation necessary to fulfill not only the Founders' intent, but the Constitution as well, they will almost certainly put off the public whose support they desperately need to actually impeach. That is why they were so fixated on the Muller Report - they needed HIM to do the dirty work of gathering the evidence and implications needed to be able to say, "We had no choice; HE was the one who found the evidence." That way, their public support would have been there and they would have been able to avoid taking the risks themselves.
Pelosi, Hoyer, Nadler, et al, are corrupt monsters who are still angry that an outsider had the nerve to win in 2016 and deny them Hilary's reign - but they are not stupid. They know what an impeachment will do to them, and still more they know that short of finding some non-existent smoking gun, the President will be found 'not guilty' in the Senate...thereby almost certainly guaranteeing his re-election.
The trouble is that they have lost control of their loud-mouthed freshmen, and said loud-mouths have fired up the base. So right now, the House leadership's choice is a simple one: impeach and lose in 2020, or land on the newbies and lose the base.

Put another way, shoot themselves in the foot, or the head.

Thousands of middle-class anti-vaccine parents are demanding their children get jabbed amid a frightening surge of measles cases
[MAIL] When it comes to the health of her two daughters, Alice Ross is simply 'trying to do the right thing' – much like any loving parent.

In her case, that meant not having them vaccinated.

When they were babies, she declined the jabs routinely offered to protect youngsters against diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, polio, and Hib – haemophilus influenzae type b – a bacterial infection responsible for a range of nasty diseases, mainly in children under five.

And after the girls were one, Alice also rejected for them the MMR jab, which offers immunity against measles, mumps and rubella.

#3  On tech oligarchs, seen over at The Woodpile Report:

They took over means of publishing which they did not create and then succeeded in claiming it as their property while at the same time excusing themselves from any legal liability for what was published by claiming they are merely “platforms” and then began to Thought Police the publishing they deny they are engaged in.

This is the crux of the matter. A common carrier like the phone company is not responsible for content, like death threats, sent over it's wires and cannot censor your conversation. A publisher, on the other hand, is responsible for what they print and must filter legally objectionable stuff.

Right now, as the law stands, Twitter and Facebook enjoy the best of both worlds. They can't be held responsible for content, no matter how immoral or illegal AND they freely suppress political content they disagree with. Congress could fix this, but since the tech oligarchs lean Democratic, don't hold your breath.

Selfies and gravity claim another victim
SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. (AP) ‐ Authorities say a woman plunged to her death down a Northern California waterfall after she slipped and lost her footing while taking photos.

The North Tahoe Fire Protection District said in a statement that the woman died Friday at Eagle Falls. Water cascades 150 feet (45 meters) from the waterfall overlooking Lake Tahoe.

Fire district spokeswoman Erin Holland said Saturday that witnesses reported the young woman was too close to the edge. There was no guardrail blocking access to the area.

The district says her death is "a sad reminder to be cautious when taking selfies and other photos in dangerous areas."

Holland says very cold water feeding the waterfall is moving extremely fast because of snowmelt from record snowfall in the surrounding Sierra Nevada mountains.

Palantir has no place at Berkeley: they help tear immigrant families apart
[Guardian] This week, Berkeley Law School is hosting its annual Privacy Law Scholars Conference, a gathering of academics, advocates, government officials, lawyers, business people and others dedicated to digital privacy ‐ privacy in the age of the internet and increasing surveillance. This year, as every year since 2011, that conference will be sponsored by Palantir Technologies, a secretive data-mining company that, among other things, has been active in aiding the Trump administration’s separation of migrant families.

We are demanding that the school cut its ties to Palantir, a company deeply embedded in the current administration’s crackdown on immigrants. We are not alone. More than 140 academics yesterday released a letter calling on the conference to reject Palantir as a corporate sponsor. Palantir employees have also "begged" the company’s CEO to cancel its contract with Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Tech workers protested against the company’s contracts with immigration agencies two years ago. Immigration activists rallied outside its headquarters last summer, and Stanford students flyered Palantir employees as they went in for breakfast earlier this month, asking them to stop separating families.
OOooooo! 140 Academics!
Standing by to watch any institution associate itself with Palantir is unacceptable. We all become complicit in giving the company credibility that softens its image.

Palantir provides software to Immigration and Customs Enforcement that has been called "mission critical" by the government’s own documents. Earlier this month, documents obtained under a Freedom of Information Act request revealed that Palantir software was used by federal agents to investigate family members of children who had crossed the border alone. Agents were explicitly instructed to "arrest the subjects and anybody encountered during the inquiry who is out of status".

London mayor says protesters can fly Trump baby during his state visit
[The Hill] London Mayor Sadiq Khan reportedly gave the go-ahead for protesters to fly a giant, orange inflatable baby designed to look like President Trump during his state visit to the United Kingdom next week.

According to The Times, Khan signed off on the protesters’ request to fly the balloon over the city’s Parliament Square earlier on Friday. The balloon will reportedly fly Tuesday, a day after Trump is scheduled to arrive in London for his three-day visit.

Protesters are now reportedly waiting for permission to fly the balloon from the Metropolitan Police.

The Stop Trump Coalition, which is organizing the effort, is also reportedly waiting until it hits its £30,000 ($37,914) fundraising goal before flying the balloon.

Anna Vickerstaff, one of the organizers, told The Times that the money is supposed to go toward organizations "pushing back against the politics of hate and division."

The 303rd Bomb Group (Heavy) flew a total of 364 missions from RAF Molesworth, comprising 10,271 sorties. The bombers shot down a confirmed 378 aircraft with 104 additional aircraft as probables. 817 men from the 303rd were killed in action and 754 become prisioners of war. After the war, the 303rd Bomb Group (Heavy) departed Molesworth for the United States via North Africa.

UK intercepts 74 migrants crossing English Channel
[DW] The coastguard said the migrant boats were located along Britannia's southeast coast. A senior British minister said the situation was "alarming" amid concerns that warming weather could fuel more crossings.
Last summer they were mostly Iranians and such. This year, thus far, they somehow don’t seem to be saying.
British authorities intercepted eight vessels carrying some 74 migrants colonists, including minors, across the English Channel on Saturday. French authorities reportedly caught two additional boats.

Coastguard officials said the boats were found along Britannia's southeast coast, stretching from the port of Dover to Winchelsea Beach near Hastings, some 50 miles (80 kilometers) away.

Authorities worry that warmer weather conditions could fuel a rise in illegal crossings over the Channel.

According to Home Office, some 539 people attempted to cross the strait last year, with smugglers serving as the conduit.

That prompted Javid to declare last December that the rise in migrant crossings was a "major incident" for the UK.

"It is an established principle that those in need of protection should claim asylum in the first safe country they reach and since January, more than 30 people who arrived illegally in the UK in small boats have been returned to Europe," Javid said.

"We will continue to seek to return anyone who has entered the UK illegally," he added.

Although crossings are on the rise, Britannia has fared better than fellow EU nations Spain, Italia and Greece on the Mediterranean Sea, where more than 21,300 migrants colonists have crossed so far this year and at least 519 others have died trying, according to the International Organization for Migration.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
From Hezbollah spy to Haredi farmer
[Ynet] Avraham Sinai's life story is staggering - he was born Ibrahaim Yassin in Leb, and fled to Israel with his family after years of spying on the country's most notorious terrorists; today he is a 55-year-old rabbi who lives in Safed, where he is planning his latest venture, a goat farm.

In northern Israel, in the serene spirituality of Safed, lives a man whose past was anything but serene or spiritual. Today he is 55-year-old ultra-Orthodox Rabbi Avraham Sinai, a father and grandfather living in a caravan on the outskirts of the city. But in another life not too long ago, he was an Israeli spy inside Hezbollah named Ibrahim Yassin.

Sinai's story began 36 years ago, when he was 19-year-old cattle farmer Ibrahim Yassin, who had a pregnant wife named Diba. Ibrahim was away from home taking his cattle to graze when Diba went into labor without him.

Fire in Bosnian migrant shelter injures 29
The title sounds dreadful until it is revealed that the colonists did this themselves — it wasn’t something bad guys did to them.
[AlAhram] A fire in a shelter for migrants colonists in northwest Bosnia on Saturday left 29 people hurt either from burns or injuries after they jumped from windows to escape the flames, authorities said.

The blaze, whose cause was not yet known, broke out after dawn in the privately-run facility in the town of Velika Kladusa, said Ale Siljdedic, front man for the regional interior ministry.

"We know at this time that there are 29 maimed, but we don't know the extent of the injuries," he said.

Around 500 migrants colonists were in the shelter at the time, he said. The fire may have been an accident as those sleeping tried to warm themselves against an unusually cold period, he said.

It was the second blaze in recent weeks to hit a place where migrants colonists were staying in Bosnia.

Three weeks ago, three migrants colonists died when a candle they were using set fire to the abandoned building they were in, according to Indira Kulenovic, a manager for Bosnia operations of the International Federation of Red Thingy and Red Islamic Thingy.

Since early 2018 Bosnia has found itself on the "Balkans route" used by migrants colonists seeking to enter EU countries. Around 3,500 migrants colonists are housed in eight shelters, mostly in the northwest, close to the border with EU member Croatia.

Over 40k forces to protect Trump as UK braces for massive protests
[PRESSTV] Over 10,000 coppers are expected to be on alert amid US President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
’s visit to the United Kingdom as large scale protests are being planned. Thousands of protesters are expected to demonstrate during the three-day visit, the Times reported Saturday.
The protests can't really be taken as a symptom of actual indignation, since people will turn out to protest anything. But if they should actually harm Trump, which some of them would just adore doing for the attention it brings, they would make him into a martyr.
Not just the president. Harm any of our people with such stupidity, especially given all the anti-Trump posturing by British politicians and the Duchess of Sussex, and life would certainly get interesting.
Police will also spend £25 million, around $31,600,000, to provide security for the American president, whose mother was born in Scotland.

Use of snipers, bomb-sniffing dogs and helicopters was among the tactics to confront the more than 250,000 protesters that are expected to show up.

In his first state visit to Britannia, the US president acknowledged that he felt "unwelcome," asserting that he "used to love London as a city."

Trump’s upcoming visit is expected to be a similar experience for Trump with massive protest plans under way.

a suspected bully boy.

Similarly, the Afghan Special Forces conducted an operation in Nad-e-Ali district of Helmand province and killed one Taliban fighter.

Furthermore, the Special Forces arrested five suspected bully boyz during the same operation, the sources added.

The anti-government armed bully boyz including Taliban have not commented regarding the two operations so far.

Both Kunduz and Helmand are among the volatile provinces in northern and southern parts of Afghanistan.

Talibs are active in some remote and restive areas of the two provinces and often attempt to carry out terrorist related activities.

In the meantime, the Afghan forces are busy conducting counter-terrorism operations against both groups in the two provinces.

The U.S. forces also conduct regular Arclight airstrikes in restive districts and provinces to suppress Taliban and other anti-government bully boys.

ISIS operation kills several Syrian Army soldiers in eastern Homs
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh) carried out a new operation in the eastern countryside of the Homs province, today, targeting the Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) positions east of Al-Sukhneh city.

ISIS began their operation by positioning themselves along a road leading from Al-Sukhneh to the provincial capital of Deir Ezzor.

The terrorist group would then ambush a Syrian Arab Army convoy that was traveling east from Al-Sukhneh, killing and wounding several soldiers in the process.

According to a Syrian military source, the Islamic State terrorists then withdrew from the area once army reinforcements arrived at the scene of the attack.

The Islamic State has been carrying out several attacks like this over the last few weeks, which has resulted in the death of over 100 Syrian Arab Army soldiers.

In response to these ambushes, the Syrian Arab Army has sent reinforcements to the Palmyra front; however, it appears ISIS has moved their operations to nearby Al-Sukhneh, which is located just south of the Al-Raqqa province.

Jihadist offensive fails to yield any gains in northwestern Hama
[ALMASDARNEWS] The jihadist rebels launched a new attack in northwestern Hama on Friday, targeting the area north of the historical town of Qal’at al-Madiq.

Led by Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham
, the jihadist rebels began their attack by attempting to breach the Syrian Army’s defenses at the northern axis of Huwayz.

The festivities would last for a short period of time and ended once the jihadist forces failed to breach the Syrian Army’s defenses during their second attack on Friday.

A source in northwestern Hama told al-Masdar News that both sides suffered minimal losses, adding that it appeared that the jihadist attack was meant to test the Syrian military’s defenses.

Friday’s attack by Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham marked the first time that they have stormed Huwayz since their failed offensive at the Kafr Naboudeh axis.

De Blasio’s first endorsement comes from small town South Carolina mayor
[NYPOST] Mayor Bill de Blasio got his very first endorsement for president of the United States from ... wait for it ... the mayor of Orangeburg, SC.

That’s right ‐ Orangeburg, population 13,000.

Hizzoner had to work hard for the endorsement, making three trips to the tiny southern town before Mayor Michael Butler finally caved.

Still, Butler wasn’t exactly fulsome in his praise.

"I believe he would do a good job," he told the Orangeburg Times and Democrat.

Even the local paper couldn’t help but smile at de Blasio’s quixotic run, noting, "The third time’s a charm. Well, at least for New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio."

The endorsement came as de Blasio and First Lady Chirlane McCray crashed the monthly meeting of the Orangeburg County Democratic Party.

"His main message is putting working people first," Butler was quoted as saying in the Times and Democrat. "That’s what moved to me, working people first."

In March, Butler, who doubles as the bishop of the town’s Victory Tabernacle Deliverance Temple, inadvertently led de Blasio into flapping his arms during the choir’s rendition of R. Kelly’s "I Believe I Can Fly" ‐ an awkward display that earned Hizzoner a hail of criticism for seeming to condone the singer’s misogynistic behavior.

Israel attacks Syrian targets after rockets fired at Golan, IDF confirms
*sigh* When will they ever learn?
[Jpost] The IDF attacked a number of military targets in Syria on Sunday morning in response to two rockets which were fired at the Golan Heights from Syria on Saturday night, an IDF spokesperson confirmed.

IDF aircraft attacked a number of military targets connected to the Syrian military, including two artillery batteries, a number of observation and intelligence posts near the Golan Heights border and an SA-2 air defense battery.

During the Israeli attacks on Syria, IDF air defense systems were activated against anti-aircraft missiles. None of the missiles fell in Israeli territory, according to an IDF spokesperson.

Air defense systems were activated against missiles fired from the Golan Heights towards southwest Damascus, a Syrian military source said on Sunday morning, according to Kan news.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights stated that the attacks focused on groups of forces and warehouses connected to Hezbollah and Iran in southern Damascus, according to Kan.

At 4:10 a.m., Israel fired missiles towards the eastern Quneitra countryside causing damage and killing three soldiers and wounding seven other soldiers, a military source told the Syrian SANA news agency.

Two missiles were fired from Syria toward Israel’s Golan Heights on Saturday night, the IDF confirmed.

The military said it was checking reports that one of the missiles landed near the Mount Hermon ski resort while the other landed inside Syrian territory.

There were no incoming rocket sirens activated and no interception of the rockets. The military said there was no damage or injuries.

On Monday, the IDF struck a Syrian military position near Quneitra after an anti-aircraft missile was launched at a fighter jet flying in Israeli territory. According to reports, the Israeli strike killed a Syrian officer and soldier and damaged a military vehicle.

According to some reports the rockets fired Saturday night appeared to have been fired from the area of Damascus, some 40 km. away, similar to the January attack the IDF said at the time was a "premeditated" attack that Iran had hoped would deter Israel from carrying out Arclight airstrikes against their assets.

Amazon seen spreading its tentacles to 5G with T-Mobile interest
[DAWN] One influential analyst called Amazon.com’s reported interest in the US wireless market "batshit crazy." Another said it was a "trojan horse" to kill off the big wireless players.

What’s becoming clear to the people who track the company is the ambitions of the world’s largest online retailer’s go far beyond replacing your phone service.

Amazon is interested in acquiring Boost Mobile, which will be sold by US wireless carriers T-Mobile US Inc and Sprint Corp as part of plans to win regulatory approval of their proposed $26.5 billion merger, primarily because a purchase would include a six-year contract that allows access to the combined company’s wireless network, Rooters reported on Thursday, citing a source familiar with the matter.

The ambition signaled that Amazon is looking to dive deeper into the wireless industry, strengthen its cloud services and ultimately take advantage of the next-generation 5G networks that are expected to transform major facets of technology, according to analysts.

That means the tech giant, which has evolved from a mere bookseller to a superstore of physical and digital products, could be setting its sights on taking on carriers such as AT&T Inc and strengthening itself against rival cloud providers like Microsoft.

#1  5G is going to such a transforming technology, anyone who sees that potential and act on it is definitely a sure stock buy.

5G allows intelligent systems to make "real time" responses to stimulus. Such as when cars approach an intersection, which lights go green and which lights go red, a decision can be made in real time.

What is "batshit crazy" is what devices can be programed to do to you if the device recognizes your face.

10 killed, 20 wounded in twin Daesh car bombing in Syria’s Raqqa
[PRESSTV] The Takfiri
...an adherent of takfir wal hijra, an offshoot of Salafism that regards everybody who doesn't agree with them as apostates who must be killed...
terrorist group ISIS has launched two major boom-mobileings in northern Syria, killing 10 people and injuring 20 more.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a London-based group reporting on anti-government operations in Syria, said late on Saturday that half of those killed in the city of Raqqa were members of the Kurdish-dominated Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) who were caught in a major boom-mobileing at the city’s al-Naim square.

It said several people had been maimed in a separate boom-mobileing in another part of Raqqa where ISIS has been launching recurrent attacks over the past months.

Raqqa, the former de facto capital of ISIS in Syria, has been controlled by SDF forces since October 2017.

The SDF, which also includes many Arab turbans on its ranks, has been backed by the United States in an alleged mission to purge ISIS and other turban groups from areas in north and northeastern Syria.

The group is also busy fighting Ottoman Turkish military and its associated turbans as Ankara sees Kurdish turbans in Syria as an extension of militancy inside its own territories.

Man Allegedly Attacks Woman over Handicap Parking Spot, Gets Shot
[BREITBART] A man allegedly attacked a woman over a handicap parking spot outside Milwaukee Police Headquarters, only to be shot when the woman whipped out a rod on him.

WISN reports that 59-year-old Joseph Drier allegedly confronted the 28-year-old woman over a handicap parking spot. Drier thought the woman looked too young to need the spot and, after arguing, went to his car and allegedly returned with a steering wheel lock.
How old do you have to be to get a handicapped parking spot?
Old enough to get a drivers license. But some people forget there are handicaps that don’t involve old age, and many that are not immediately visible to the naked eye.
The woman said Drier allegedly swung at her with the lock in his hand, but she was able to keep enough distance between them that she was not struck. However,
man does not live by words alone, despite the fact that sometimes he has to eat them...
she did pull her gun at that point and shoot Drier, striking him in the leg.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that the "28-year-old woman was taken into custody" for questioning. She was released once police ascertained what had taken place.

Clashes along Turkey-Iran borders turn deadly: Turkish state-media
[Rudaw] Two Ottoman Turkish soldiers were killed and another five were maimed on Saturday, during a clash between the Ottoman Turkish army and an gang, according to Ottoman Turkish state media.

Citing security sources, state run Anadolu Agency (AA) reported that the fighting took place in Igdir province, close to the Ottoman Turkish-Iranian border, but did not identify a specific group.

In a separate incident on May 10, one Ottoman Turkish soldier was killed and another was injured in the same province, following the kaboom of an improvised bomb (IED).
Andolu alleged that the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) was behind the attack.

One of the deadliest attacks on Ottoman Turkish security forces in Igdir, took place in 2015 in the Dilicu area, when 14 coppers guarding a customs office, were killed by a roadside kaboom, that was also attributed to the PKK.

The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the decaying remnant of the Ottoman Empire....
has intensified its attacks against the PKK recently, and Hulusi Akar, Turkey's Defense Minister has said their objective is to "eradicate" the Kurdish fighters.

Turkey and the PKK have clashed for three and a half decades inside Turkey and along the Iran-Turkey-Iraq borders, with an estimated 40,000 people , including members of the security forces and members of the guerilla group were killed in the conflict, since 1984.

At least 4,397 people have been killed since the ending of a short-lived grinding of the peace processor between both sides in July 20, 2015, according to the latest numbers from the International Crisis Group (ICG), a conflict monitor, updated on Friday.

Turkey is building a 144 kilometre security wall on its borders with Iran in Agri province which borders with Igdir.

Iranian security forces have also clashed with members of armed opposition Kurdish groups based in Iraqi Kurdistan in recent years.

Recently, the official Iranian state agency, IRNA, reported on Thursday that one of the members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) was killed in Chaldoran County, which borders Igdir, on late Tuesday.

IRNA identified Ibrahim Akhondzadeh as the dear departed.

Iran blamed "anti-revolution" groups, referring to a euphemism to Kurdish armed forces based in Iraqi-Kurdistan.

Clashes in the region have also led to causalities amongst kolbars‐semi-legal porters who transport goods across the Kurdistan Region- Iran border, either by foot or by horse.

Since last week, around half a dozen kolbars were killed in the crossfire of festivities taking place along the border areas.

Fake Saudi prince who flaunted on Instagram sentenced in fraud scheme
[NYPOST] Miami fraudster Anthony Gignac was sentenced Friday by a Florida judge to 18.5 years in prison for swindling $8 million from people by posing as Middle Eastern royalty, according to reports.

Gignac‐who went by the moniker Prince Khalid al-Saud of Soddy Arabia

The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
for more than three decades ‐ chronicled his phony life of luxury on Instagram under the handle

Photos show the grifter in a Ferrari, wearing Rolex watches and Louis Vuitton bags, dining on lavish meals and taking luxury vacations.

The 48-year-old lived on Miami’s star-studded Fisher Island, where his penthouse apartment door was labeled "Sultan."

He hired bodyguards who carried fake badges and his car bore fake diplomatic plates.

He referred to himself as "prince," "sultan" and "his royal highness" and demanded pricey gifts from his business partners‐per royal protocol.

But in reality, Gignac was a Colombian orphan born Anthony Moreno and adopted by a family in Michigan. The real Prince Khalid is the 79-year-old governor of Mecca.

Despite Gignac’s elaborate efforts to maintain his image, he forgot a well-known Moslem rule any respectable Saudi prince would honor: pork is off limits.

So when wealthy real estate developer Jeffrey Soffer caught him eating bacon and other pork products, Soffer hired private Sherlocks to look into the alleged prince, ultimately leading to an FBI probe, the Miami Herald reported.

"Such an attack on Tripoli has one aim, that is the abortion of the political process and bringing Libya back to the totalitarian rule." al- Sarraj told MBS.

"The countries supporting Haftar and providing him with arms are partners in his crimes in Libya." al- Sarraj remarked.

Meanwhile,

MBS said there is no military solution to Libya's crisis and that Saudi Arabia is ready to play a role in Libya and help support a national initiative that represents all Libyans.

He said he doesn't expect the international community to do a lot regarding the current fighting after its silence and inaction, confirming that Haftar's forces received weapons with regional countries supporting them with military equipment, including La Belle France, which reiterated support for the Presidential Council's government.

Twitter Suspends Researcher Who Exposed Antifa-Journalist Connections
[BREITBART] Twitter has suspended the account of Eoin Lenihan, a researcher who mapped out connections between mainstream journalists and the violent far-left Antifa
...the armed wing of the Democratic Party...
movement on Twitter, following a mass-reporting campaign by left-wing activists.

Lenihan published the results of his research at Quillette, where he explained the twofold objective of his project ‐ first, to discover the journalists who were most closely linked to Antifa via social media. Second, to discover if those journalists covered the Death Eater movement favorably or negatively.

via Quillette:

In October 2018, my research partner and I decided to investigate the truth of this impression by using a mix of network mapping and linguistic analysis to see which prominent journalists who covered Antifa also were closely connected to leading Antifa figures on social media. We then inspected the Antifa-related stories these journalists had written.

We created a data set of 58,254 Antifa or Antifa-associated Twitter accounts based on the follows of 16 verified Antifa seed accounts. Using a software tool that analyzed the number and nature of connections associated with each individual account, we winnowed the 58,254 Antifa or Antifa-associated Twitter accounts down to 962 accounts. This represents a core group of Twitter users who are connected in overlapping ways to the most influential and widely followed Antifa figures. Of these 962 accounts, 22 were found to be verified‐of which 15 were journalists who work regularly with national-level news outlets.

The journalists included contributors to The Guardian, The New Republic, Al Jazeera, and the Huffington Post.

Unsurprisingly, Lenihan’s analysis of the journalists who mingle with Antifa on Twitter found that none of them covered the movement critically:

That correlation turned out to be quite pronounced: Of all 15 verified national-level journalists in our subset, we couldn’t find a single article, by any of them, that was markedly critical of Antifa in any way. In all cases, their work in this area consisted primarily of downplaying Antifa violence while advancing Antifa talking points, and in some cases quoting Antifa Death Eaters as if they were impartial experts.

Trump's border policy takes its toll on Mexico where migrant caravans are turned away by overwhelmed locals
[Yahoo] In the impoverished Mexican town of Tapachula, a short distance from the Guatemalan border, patience is wearing thin. “We’re used to seeing them [migrants] pass through but they didn’t stay before. Now it’s out of control," says Maria at her taco stand.

Business has been dire for her since a squalid migrant camp sprang up a stone's throw away in the town's central plaza - one of many makeshift camps for the thousands stuck between Trump's America and chaos back at home in Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador.

There was a time when caravan after caravan of migrants were welcomed with open arms on their way north. But tightening border controls in the US and a calamitous visa policy in Mexico has triggered an accidental crisis of its own.

The mood has turned so sour in some nearby towns and villages that bands of migrants have been blocked from entering by stretched authorities.

Locals have run out of good will and refugee agencies are warning they are totally overwhelmed.

The mood has turned so sour in some towns and villages where bands of migrants have been blocked from entering Credit: Encarni Pindado
“The first caravan that came through was welcomed with food and even mariachis, but now they’re ungrateful,” says, Rosario Hernandez, who lives around the corner from Mexico’s Refugee Commission (COMAR) in Tapachula.

Hundreds of migrants, mostly from Central America, are staying on the pavements outside the agency day and night, waiting to be processed for papers that give them the legal right to stay in Mexico.

Without those, many are afraid of being detained and deported and even kidnapped and killed by criminal gangs and corrupt immigration officials.

Populist-leftist Mexican president Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, also known as AMLO, began his presidency in December last year by expediting humanitarian visas for migrants, in sharp contrast with Trump’s hostile, anti-immigrant rhetoric. But the surge in applications saw a reversal in his policy just two weeks later.

Now AMLO, who has warm relations with Jeremy Corbyn, is trying to keep thousands of migrants in southern states via a new regional visitor visas. The pass limits them to states such as Chiapas, Tabasco, Campeche, Quintana Roo and the Yucatan, which are some of the country’s poorest and will struggle to support this new influx of people. Towns close to Tapachula are already resisting migrants, and local politicians with stretched municipal budgets are stoking xenophobia in cynical efforts to keep migrants at bay.

Hmmm..wonder if the Orange Man reads history. For years Washington complained and Mexico City did nothing in stopping the Apache from crossing the Rio Grande and raiding Texas and the southwest territories. The Donks obstructed the Army budget (sound familiar?), but when the Apache raids became too frequent the Texas Donk delegation busted open funds needed to deal with the problem. We put full pressure on the border to include hot pursuit involving confrontation with obstructing Mexican military. Finally the Apache found it easier to raid and loot among the local Mexican population. That got a response from Mexico City.

Judge finds Navy SEAL’s fair trial rights violated in war crimes case
[NYPOST] The military judge presiding over the court-martial of a U.S. Navy SEAL charged with war crimes said on Friday prosecutors who electronically tracked email communications of defense lawyers without a warrant violated the accused’s right to a fair trial.

The finding came near the end of a two-day hearing that wrapped up just 10 days before Special Operations Chief Edward Gallagher is due to stand trial in a case that has drawn the attention of U.S. President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...

fighter in his custody, and with two counts of attempted murder in the wounding of two unarmed civilians, a schoolgirl and elderly man, shot from a sniper’s perch.

The charges stem from Gallagher’s deployment as a platoon leader to Iraq’s northern city of djinn-infested Mosul
... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn...
, in 2017.

He has pleaded not guilty
"Wudn't me."
to those and other charges, including obstructing justice. If convicted, the decorated career combat veteran could face life in prison.

Gallagher says he was wrongly accused and that fellow SEAL team members testifying against him, several under grants of immunity, are disgruntled subordinates who fabricated allegations to force him from command.

His defense team has filed motions seeking either to dismiss the charges altogether, or remove the lead prosecutor from the case, on grounds of alleged misconduct by the prosecutor and agents of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS).

The defense specifically has accused Navy lawyers of conducting illegal surveillance of defense attorneys and news media using electronic tracking software secretly embedded in emails sent to the defense.

#5  ...There was something off about this from the beginning. I have found it almost impossible to believe that Chief Gallagher was able to do all the things charged in the call-a-lawyer-before-you-shoot ROE we had over there. The sheer viciousness of his treatment at the hands of the United States Navy raises serious, serious questions, and now we have not only admitted prosecutorial misbehavior, but it was reported Friday that three prosecution witnesses have now decided that they will not testify.

The bottom line is that to a great extent, the USN seems to be unable to prosecute anything that doesn't involve a seaman recruit and a DUI. No one - NO ONE - will ever face justice for the Fitzgerald collision now, after the CNO made public comments that he should have known better to have made. The McCain collision may never be sorted out to the point where we know why supposedly trained sailors were unable to use the controls of their own ship.

This now starts to worry me that if we get into it with the Chinese, we may well get our asses handed to us, along with several thousand body bags.

The Foreign Relations Committee delegation from Gay Paree met with officials from the Kurdish-led Autonomous Administration (AA) of North and East Syria on Friday in the town of Ain Issa, just north of Raqqa ‐ once the de facto capital of the ISIS caliphate.

"La Belle France has been at your side throughout this, and La Belle France will continue to be at your side for the reconstruction and the stabilization of this region," committee head Marielle de Sarnez told journalists following the meeting.

"I want to give our immense recognition for the sacrifices they made, sacrifices that go beyond the borders of this part of the world ‐ La Belle France in particular recognizes this, Europe
...also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
in particular recognizes this," she added.

La Belle France deployed troops, weaponry, and airpower in support of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) to push back the ISIS onslaught. The jihadists were cleared from their last redoubt of Baghouz, Deir ez-Zor province in March.

The AA ‐ formerly known as the Democratic Federation of Northern Syria ‐ sent its own delegation to Gay Paree in April, where President Emmanuel Macron pledged continued military and financial support for the "humanitarian needs and the socio-economic stabilization of civilian populations in Syria."

The Sick Man of Europe Turkey

...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A collection of multinational and multilingual and multicultural armed forces, all of differing capabilities, working toward a common goal by pulling in different directions...

condemned the visit, accusing Gay Paree of legitimizing the SDF.

Ankara views the People’s Protection Units (YPG), which make up backbone of the SDF, as an extension of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), an gang fighting for greater political and cultural rights for Kurds in Turkey.

La Belle France renewed its pledge of support for Syria’s Kurds just as US President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
was looking to draw down the American presence in northern Syria.

Trump made the shock announcement in December 2018 to withdraw all 2,000 US troops, later backtracking to allow a smaller force to remain. It led to fears the Kurds would be left exposed to attack by Turkey or the Syrian regime.

Macron and even some of Trump’s closest advisors viewed the move as a betrayal of their Kurdish allies who bore the brunt of the fight against ISIS.

Damascus rejects Arab Summit’s criticism of Iran’s presence in Syria
[ALMASDARNEWS] The government in Damascus has rejected the final statement of the Arab emergency summit held in Soddy Arabia

, which criticizes what it called "Iranian intervention" into Syrian affairs, AP reports.

Damascus said the statement was an unacceptable interference in the internal affairs of Syria.

The Iranian presence is "legitimate because it came at the request of the Syrian government and contributed to support Syria’s efforts in combating terrorism supported by some of the participants in this summit," according to the Syrian Foreign Ministry.

The summit should instead condemn the involvement of other countries in Syrian affairs, "which lacked legitimacy and legality" and provided "unlimited support in various forms to terrorist groups and prolonging the crisis in Syria," the statement added.

Palestinians fear ‘deal of the century’ will finish off their state
[DAWN] The US blueprint to end the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians, still in draft form after almost two years, is seen by Paleostinians, and by some Arab officials and politicians, as a plan to finish off the Paleostinian cause.

The initiative, driven by Jared Kushner, Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
’s son-in-law and White House adviser, was billed by the US president as the "deal of the century".

While its precise outlines have yet to be revealed, Paleostinian and Arab sources who have been briefed on the draft plan say Kushner has jettisoned the two-state solution ‐ the long-standing US and international formula that envisages an independent Paleostinian state alongside Israel in the West Bank, east Jerusalem and Gazoo.

After several postponements, Washington plans a first formal outing of the economic components of the plan at a "Peace for Prosperity" workshop in Bahrain in June.

The plan faces possible delays due to political upheaval in Israel, where Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu must fight another election after failing to form a government.

Kushner and Trump, with backgrounds in real estate rather than diplomacy, seem to be approaching this hitherto insoluble conflict as a transaction, three Arab officials briefed on the plan said.

If the politics keep failing, the reasoning seems to be, then try dangling tens of billions of dollars before the Paleostinians and Israel’s Arab neighbours and do a deal that could unlock prosperity for the Paleostinians and security for Israel, these officials said.

Politically, the deal envisages an expansion of Gazoo into part of northern Egypt, under Egyptian control, Palestinian officials briefed on the plan said.

Paleostinians would be left with a smaller share of the West Bank and some areas on the outskirts of Jerusalem and no control over their borders.

Western and Arab sources confirmed the outline of the plan.

Jason Greenblatt, Trump’s Middle East envoy, said "rumours" about an expansion into Egypt’s Sinai desert were false. He declined to give details of the political plan before it is released.

A large number of people, including women and kiddies, attended the rally from Sea Breeze to Tibet Centre on M.A. Jinnah Road, vowing to continue their support for an independent Paleostinian state with al-Quds as its capital.

ISIS bride helping CIA track down Baghdadi
You go, girl!
[ALMASDARNEWS] The most senior female ISIS prisoner has played a significant role in the CIA’s manhunt for His Supreme Immensity, Caliph of the Faithful and Galactic Overlord, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi
...the head of ISIS, or what remains of it, and a veteran of the Abu Graib jailhouse. Looks like a new messiah to bajillions of Moslems, like just another dead-eyed mass murder to the rest of us. So far he has been killed at least four times, though not yet by a stake through the heart...
, it has been revealed by the Guardian.

The ISIS woman, Nisrine Assad Ibrahim, better known by her doom-inducing nom de guerre, Umm Sayyaf, has reportedly helped in joint CIA-Kurdish efforts to track down Mr Baghdadi by providing detailed accounts of his movements over the years, including the locations of safe houses as well as the obscure traveling routes that he takes.

Miss Sayyaf, 29-years-old, and believed to be Iraqi, was captured in a 2015 US Delta Force raid in Syria, in which her husband, ISIS’s then-second in command and the group’s so-called oil minister, Abu Sayyaf
...also known as al-Harakat al-Islamiyya, an Islamist terror group based in Jolo, Basilan and Zamboanga. Abu Sayyaf forces probably number less than 300 cadres. The group is closely allied with remnants of Indonesia's Jemaah Islamiya and has loose ties with MILF and MNLF who sometimes provide cannon fodder...
, was killed.

Since being detained, Miss Sayyaf has reportedly spent many hours helping American Sherlocks use maps to determine where Baghdadi may be bogged down.

"They were very polite [the American Sherlocks] and wore civilian clothes," she told the Guardian, "I showed them everything I knew."

In February 2016, Miss Sayyaf is said to have provided the location of a house in the northern Iraqi city of djinn-infested Mosul
... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn...
where she believed Baghdadi was hiding out. Yet, despite being so close to bagging the world’s most wanted man, Kurdish officials told the Guardian that the US did not want to carry out an Arclight airstrike on the home for fear of killing civilians in the tightly packed neighbourhood.

"I told them where the house was," Umm Sayyaf is reported as having said.

"I knew he’d been there because it was one of the houses that was provided for him, and one of the places he liked the most," she told the Guardian.

Soldier martyred in attack on patrolling Army vehicle in North Waziristan
[DAWN] A Pakistain Army soldier has embraced martyrdom in a firing-and-blast attack in North Wazoo, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced on Saturday.

According to the Army's media wing, 26-year-old Amil Shah embraced martyrdom when a patrolling vehicle was targeted with an improvised bomb (IED) and firing in Boya area of North Waziristan.

"Terrorist activities in North Waziristan have increased lately. Over the last month, five soldiers have been martyred and 31 injured due to terrorist activities," read an ISPR statement.

The military's mouthpiece linked the attack with the recent Khar Qamar check post incident, saying that "the arrest of controllers of these terrorist activities had led to the incident on May 25."

On Sunday, the ISPR had released a statement saying that a check post in the area was assaulted by a group and in an exchange of fire, three people were killed while 15 were maimed ─ including five soldiers.

According to the statement, MNAs Mohsin Dawar and Ali Wazir ─ both of whom are leaders of the Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM) ─ were leading the group.

The informed military sources said Saturday that the security forces carried out an airstrike in Qarabagh district of Ghazni during the past 24 hours.

According to military sources, the airstrikes killed at least 21 Talibs.

The anti-government armed holy warriors including Taliban have not commented regarding the airstrike so far.

This comes as the security situation in some districts of Ghazni province has tanked during the recent months.

Talibs often carry out terrorist related activities in some restive districts of the province.

In the meantime, the Afghan forces are busy conducting counter-terrorism operations against both groups in this province.

Similarly, the U.S. forces also conduct regular airstrikes in restive districts of Ghazni to suppress Taliban and other anti-government krazed killers.

Europe
Hundreds of anti-Israel protesters, counter-protesters face off in Berlin
[IsraelTimes] Numbers at al-Quds Day rally reportedly lower than expected; pro-Paleostinian demonstrators call Israel a ’child murderer,’ label Zionism as ’anti-Semitic’.

Several hundred pro-Paleostinian activists demonstrated against Israel in Berlin Saturday, as part of al-Quds Day events, the Arabic name for Jerusalem, while hundreds of others held counter-protests in support of the Jewish state.

The annual al-Quds Day events established by Iran see anti-Israel protests held around the world in solidarity with the Paleostinian cause on the last Friday of the Moslem holy fasting month of Ramadan.
Why d’you suppose there are Iranian sock puppets in Germany, of all places?
Around 2,000 people had been expected to take part in Berlin, but actual turnout was apparently at around 1,000 lower.
Fifty percent lower is significant. Perhaps people are finally becoming sensible on the subject... perhaps due to lower oil prices and American sanctions, the Mad Mullahs can’t afford to buy nearly as many protesters.
Meanwhile,
...back at the Council of Boskone, Helmuth ordered the space pirate fleet to attack Zemblonia...
around 800 people were protesting in support of Israel in two separate rallies, including several politicians, according to local press.

The German news agency dpa reported that the government’s anti-Semitism commissioner, Felix Klein; the Israeli ambassador in Germany, Jeremy Issacharoff; and Berlin’s top security official, Andreas Geisel, attended the pro-Israel rally.

Geisel urged the German government to consider banning the political wing of the terror group Hezbollah.

Police were out in force to prevent festivities between the groups.

This year’s protests come as the White House is promoting the June 25-26 meeting in the Gulf state of Bahrain as the first phase of its long-awaited Mideast peace plan. That plan, whose specifics have yet to be released, includes large-scale investment and infrastructure work in the Paleostinian territories, much of it funded by wealthy Arab countries.

Paleostinian leaders said they won’t attend the summit.

American officials said the Bahrain conference will not include the core political issues of the conflict: borders of a Paleostinian state, the status of Jerusalem, the fate of Paleostinian refugees or Israeli security demands.

Turnout at France's 'yellow vest' protest hits fresh low
Good. In the beginning they had a legitimate cause, but between expanding demands and providing shelter for violent actors from the left and right, they really overshot the point where any agreement was possible.
[AlAhram] The number of "yellow vest" demonstrators marching against high living costs in La Belle France dwindled on Saturday following several weeks of waning turnout, more than six months into the protests against President Emmanuel Macron.

Police fired teargas at some protesters in the southern city of Toulouse

. But the demonstrations - on the 29th weekend in a row since they first erupted last November, leading on some occasions to riots - passed off largely peacefully.

Some 9,500 people erupted into the streets across La Belle France on June 1, the Interior Ministry estimated, with 1,500 in Gay Paree. That was down from the 12,500 nationwide last Saturday, and a far cry from the close to 300,000 that first occupied roundabouts and blocked roads in what began as an outcry against fuel tax hikes.

The latest anti-government protests coincided with a long holiday weekend for many French and with soaring temperatures, though numbers also fell throughout May.

That will provide some relief for Macron, who was forced to put some reforms on hold and make costly concessions to try and contain the unrest and find ways to boost purchasing power.

Even so the government is still on tenterhooks. A 5.9 percent hike in the power prices of state-controlled utility EDF - the highest increase in years - came into force on Saturday, after the government earlier postponed it due to the protests.

A second increase to French electricity prices in August cannot be ruled out but is not desirable, Junior Environment Minister Emmanuelle Wargon said on Friday.

French police have come under scrutiny from rights groups over the use of heavy duty crowd control weapons including "flash ball" riot guns that fire rubber ball-shaped projectiles.

"Since I saw a young woman get injured, I can’t let go," Roland, a 71-year-old protester in Gay Paree said.

Iran rolls out HAWK anti-aircraft defenses for Khomeini anniversary
Golly. Is it real this time, or is it, as usual, vapourware?
[Rudaw] Tehran will deploy its HAWK anti-aircraft defense system on Monday to protect its airspace from potential attack when thousands gather in the Iranian capital to mourn the father of the Islamic Revolution, Ruhollah Khomeini, security officials said.

Hundreds of thousands of Iranians will descend on Khomeini’s Mausoleum in southern Tehran to remember the leader of the 1970 Islamic Revolution who united the country against Iraqi aggression in the 1980-88 war.

He died June 3, 1989.

#1  ...The HAWKs are quire real. 45 years old, but real. Some years back, a pic got out of one of their F-14s rigged to carry one in place of the AIM-54s they were supposed to have/gave to the Russians.

2 rockets fired from Syria hit occupied Golan Heights, retaliatory attack expected
If they expect a response, why did they do it? See response here.
[ALMASDARNEWS] Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) alleged that two projectiles were fired from Syria into the occupied Golan Heights.

According to the reports, the projectiles were targeting the Mount Hermon (Jabal Sheikh) area.

No group grabbed credit.

The Israeli military is expected to launch a retaliatory attack in the coming hours as they always respond to all projectile strikes, regardless if it is from the Syrian military.

Afghanistan
Up to 100 Taliban Red Unit militants killed in Ghazni province
[KhaamaPress] The Afghan National Defense and Security Forces have killed up to 100 gunnies of the Red Unit of Taliban
...Arabic for students...
in south-eastern Ghazni province.

The Provincial Police Headquarters in a statement said the Talibs launched a major offensive against the security forces in Qarabagh district around 2 am local time on Saturday.

The statement further added that the security forces effectively responded to Talibs attack.

The security forces killed at least 100 gunnies of the Red Unit of Taliban during the clash, the statement added.

According to Provincial Police Headquarters, the dead bodies of 42 gunnies were left in the area following the clash.

This comes as the security situation in some districts of Ghazni province has tanked during the recent months.

Talibs are active in remote and restive areas of the province.

In the meantime, the Afghan forces are busy conducting counter-terrorism operations against the anti-government gangs in this province.

Similarly, the U.S. forces also conduct regular Arclight airstrikes in restive districts of Ghazni to suppress Taliban and other anti-government holy warriors.

Turkey, Russia face conflicts over Syria’s push into Idlib
[Rudaw] Ankara and Moscow are again facing an escalation of violence in Syria’s last rebel-held territory, a development that puts their cooperation to the test even as they support opposing sides in the eight-year war that has devastated Syria.

An all-out offensive by Syrian government forces to capture Idlib in northwestern Syria from Lions of Islam could unleash an unprecedented humanitarian crisis, for the area is home to 3 million people.
How tiresome — it’s always about to be an unprecedented humanitarian crisis.

Meeks: Obama Put Economy on Right Track and Trump ‘Doing Everything’ ‘to Destroy That’
That's certainly one perspective...
[BREITBART] On Saturday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s "Weekends with Alex Witt," Representative Gregory Meeks (D-NY) discussed President Trump’s threat to slap tariffs on Mexico over illegal immigration and argued that Trump "inherited" an economy that was trending in the right direction from President Obama, and Trump is "doing everything in his power to try to destroy that."

Meeks said, "Look, this president inherited an economy that was moving in the right direction. He should thank his soul that it was Barack Obama
That’s just how white folks will do you....
who put it together. He’s doing everything in his power to try to destroy that."

#4  A Great summary by a Notre Dame University engineer.

Here are the 10,535 pages of Obama Care condensed to 4 simple sentences.

As humorous as it sounds..... every last word is absolutely TRUE!

1. In order to insure the uninsured, we first have to un-insure the insured.

2. Next, we require the newly un-insured to be re-insured.

3. To re-insure the newly un-insured, they are required to pay extra charges to be re-insured.

4. The extra charges are required so that the original insured, who became un-insured, and then became re-insured,
can pay enough extra so that the original un-insured can be insured, so it will be 'free-of-charge' to them.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is called "redistribution of wealth" or, by its more common name, "SOCIALISM," or "PROGRESSIVISM", the politically correct names for COMMUNISM!

People who don't understand this are not capable of coming in out of the rain.

#5  ...and the IRS was extremely diligent in enforcing the Premium Tax Credit (the credit ($) the original uninsured receive from becoming insured). I have never seen the IRS so diligent and quick to respond to enforcing any tax matter under its purview.

Posted by: charger || 06/02/2019 14:12 Comments || Top||

#7  As for the credit for the economy, it isn't just Meeks who feels that way.

This is why I think it's naive to assume better economic times for blacks and Latinos will necessarily translate into votes for the GOP.

I get "expanding the base", but one can get too clever by half with that stuff.

You can put so much rhetoric and effort into it, that you ignore or even alienate the people who actually voted for you, while gaining nothing, or at least not gaining enough to make up for the loss.

We've already been down this road with the Bushes.

Meeks' attitude is a warning that Trump had better remember that mere boosterism is not a political strategy.

Britain
Would-Be Police Officer Denied Job for Being a White Male Wins Appeal
[BREITBART] An aspiring police officer who was denied a job in his local police force because he was white, straight, and male has won his appeal against the decision.

Matthew Furlong, 25, applied to join Cheshire Police, following in the footsteps of his father Liam Furlong, but was rejected using the so-called "positive action" provisions in the Equality Act.

The force had previously received criticism for having no black coppers and so introduced the policy to try and increase diversity in their ranks.

Mr Furlong’s father complained about the decision and the case was taken to a tribunal which Mr Furlong won, with the court deciding that he had been discriminated against on the basis of his race, sex, and sexual orientation, reports the Manchester Evening News.

The tribunal ruled that positive action can only be used in a so-called "tie break" situation in which two candidates for the role are equally qualified, and that did not apply in case of Mr Furlong, who has a degree in particle physics and cosmology.

The would-be recruit said the experience had "completely shattered" his faith in the police recruitment system.

He went on say that had he lied and claimed he was bisexual, for example, he would probably have been accepted based on that lie at the first time of asking.

"I absolutely agree that a force should represent the equality and diversity of the community it serves but that must be achieved legitimately and without discriminating against anyone," he added.

#1  The police examination "positive action" score for a white male applicant was likely in the 98.6 percentile range, possibly a bit higher. Furlong simply didn't make the cut.

The security situation in some districts of Khost province remains disputed. has tanked during the recent months.

Talibs are active in remote and restive areas of the province and often attempt to carry out terrorist related activities against the government and security institutions.

In the meantime, the Afghan forces are busy conducting counter-terrorism operations against both groups in this province.
