[FoxNews] Charlie Watts, best known as the prolific drummer for the rock band the Rolling Stones for more than half a century, has died. He was 80.

A representative for Watts told Fox News Tuesday that the musician "passed away peacefully in a London hospital earlier today surrounded by his family."

No cause of death was given yet.

Afghanistan
Taliban Says U.S. Must Meet August 31 Withdrawal Deadline: 'No Extensions'
[NATIONALREVIEW] The Taliban
...Arabic for students...
on Tuesday eliminated any ambiguity surrounding the United States’ withdrawal deadline, saying the American military must be out of Afghanistan by the Biden crime family administration
...knaves, footpads, and adjusters employed by the Biden Crime Family. They leave a trail of havoc everywhere they turn their attention, be it the nation's borders, the Keystone XL Pipeline, or epidemics, sometimes on purpose, most times through sheer arrogant ineptitude. They learnt this stuff in college, you know...
’s August 31 departure date.

Amid rumors that President Joe Biden
...... 46th president of the U.S., who gives the geriatric a bad name. He blames Afghans for losing Afghanistan.......
is deliberating pushing out the expiration date to evacuate the thousands of American nationals and refugees still stuck in Afghanistan’s interior, a Taliban front man announced that "no extensions" will be granted, the News Agency that Dare Not be Named confirmed.

At a presser Tuesday, Taliban representative Zabihullah Mujahid said it would be a "violation" of the Trump-era arrangement to allow foreign nationals to exit the country beyond August 31st.

"We want them to evacuate all foreign nationals by the 31st of August and we are not in favor of allowing Afghans to leave," he said, according to a translation.

As the window closes, the Taliban has warned the U.S. could face "consequences" for reneging on its pledge to leave by month’s end. Taliban front man Suhail Shaheen said in an interview aired Monday that western forces would be crossing a "red line" if they remain in the country through September.

The military has reportedly requested that the White House decide by Tuesday whether it will postpone the departure date so troops can prepare for the expedited pull-out of nearly 6,000 U.S. troops supporting the evacuations.

In a moment of bipartisanship, Republicans and Democrats have rallied together to ramp up the rescue missions of American citizens and Afghan allies who served alongside the U.S. in the two-decade counter-terrorism operation in Afghanistan. According to a CBS News/YouGov poll released Sunday, 81 percent of Americans support bringing Afghans who helped the U.S. military to the United States for sanctuary.

International-UN-NGOs
The flight of the human-rights warriors from Afghanistan and Iran
[Arutz-7] - I had already started writing this article when I stumbled upon an article in The Atlantic, "The Week the Left Stopped Caring About Human Rights. It’s remarkable how quickly liberals abandoned the women of Afghanistan." The initial impetus was U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s remarks earlier this year when he said the "administration will stand against human-rights abuses wherever they occur, regardless of whether the perpetrators are adversaries or partners."

It needs to be pointed out that The Atlantic is not some right-wing outlet, but is a leading light for the Democrat Party. So kudos to them for publishing this article.

"Get the hell out has ... been the liberal position for two decades, until about 72 hours ago, when Democrats suddenly became so concerned about the fate of Afghanistan. ... You can call for American troop withdrawal for 20 years. ... But you need to be ready to take it on the chin when you get what you ask for, and the inevitable happens: girls being forced into child marriage and forbidden to go to school or to leave the house without a male relative. Is your conscience prickling. ... It’s remarkable how quickly the left took up the cold calculus of realpolitik. How quickly it forgot its love for Malala, the young Pakistani girl who survived a Taliban bullet to the head, her only crime getting an education and trying to help other girls get one too. The White House must have known she’d give Biden a bad news cycle or two, and indeed, she appealed to the president to take ’a bold step’ to stave off disaster."

#2  How quickly it forgot its love for Malala, the young Pakistani girl who survived a Taliban bullet to the head

And was subsequently recruited under threat of a second attempt. Or that was the game all along. Graze her skull with a low power bullet and if she survives you've got a respectable spokeswoman for 'moderate' islam into the international forums.

NGOs and humanitarian concerns are not really saints, they play in muddy waters for their own agendas, and they know who they're playing with, that most of their beneficiaries do not really deserve anything.
Posted by: Dron66046 || 08/24/2021 12:40 Comments || Top||

#3  Funny. I would think all these humanitarian groups, aid workers, social workers would be flocking to Afghanistan, seeing as how for the last 20 years they have been peacocking about how they could do Afghanistan better.
Posted by: swksvolFF || 08/24/2021 13:15 Comments || Top||

#4  Well, Malala is the same lady who blocked a lady on Twitter after she asked for her opinion about the underage Hindu girls, who are in minority in Pakistan, being abducted and forcibly converted to Islam and married off to Muslim Pakistani men and denied any contact with their own families.

Malala is about as useful to the oppressed women as an appendix is to a human.
Posted by: Rhinemann || 08/24/2021 14:31 Comments || Top||

#5  I seem to recall that Malala Yousafzai‘s father is a communist of some sort, but Wikipedia claims he is a Pashtun, the son of a Sunni imam who taught theology at a government high school, and a member of the secular leftwing Awami Nationalist Party — which stands for Pashtun autonomy within Pakistan.

Malala was well trained to puppet her father’s talking points. Whether Oxford has since taught her to think for herself remains to be seen.

#6  #5 I seem to recall that apostasy is punishable in Pakistan. Which is why I'm unable to grasp how Communists are able to exist in Pakistan. Can a Muslim really be a Communist if he/she is not an apostate?

Of course there are Christians, Sikhs and Hindus in Pakistan as well, who can become Communists. And then there was this case of Afghanistan having a Communist government as well. How does that work out; how does Communism exist in a Muslim country?

I hope like hell there's another way out but I ain't seeing it.

Afghanistan
'In the next 48 hours America would be in control of all Afghan airports': Ex- Navy Seal imagines he's Biden and reveals how he would fix fatal mistakes that has left 'Americans and allies stranded' after the Taliban takeover
Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • Former Navy Seal pretended to be the President to explain how to fix Afghanistan mistakes

  • Jocko Willink took to Instagram to share his plan for rest of the evacuation

  • Pretending to be the President, he said: 'I made some critical errors'

Courtesy of Besoeker, Fox News reports the video has gone viral. He comments, “Jocko gets it. Why do these feckless traitors in Washington NOT get it ?”
Jocko Willink, a retired Navy SEAL, took to Instagram to post a brief video Monday imagining he was the U.S. commander-in-chief during an address to the nation about the Afghanistan calamity and steps that he would take to resolve the problem.

The Biden administration has been on the receiving end of sharp criticism from those who say the U.S. withdrawal could hardly have gone any worse. Jen Psaki, the White House press officer, grew visibly annoyed during a briefing when she was asked about "stranded" Americans. She said it was inaccurate to say they are stranded and reconfirmed the U.S. commitment to bring home every American who wants to leave.

Willink appeared in the black-and-white video in a black t-shirt and close-cropped haircut. He sounded firm and spoke in short bursts of declarative sentences. He explained in the video caption that this is how he would address the situation to the world.

#2  ...Entirely too damned late.

The Taliban holds every single card, and they're going to play them. What's coming next will make the Iran Hostage crisis look like a recess spat among preschoolers.

Retaking Bagram isn't an option at all at this point - we could take the place back in a straightforward enough manner, but the most we could get in there would be a thousand or so troops. It would be surrounded within hours, and the balance would simply get worse with every passing hour. Karzai IAP is worse - it's surrounded by tens of thousands of civilians and thousands of Taliban who we can't tell apart - Talibs, by the by, who are already using children as human shields. I would be very surprised if the Talibs don't have mortars already set up to close the runway if they feel it's time, and there will be nothing we can do about it. Right now, that place is a high tech Dien Bien Phu.

Unvaccinated adults 50+ are 17x more likely to die than vaxxed counterparts
h/t Hot Air
[FOX11] - Los Angeles County reported 2,781 new cases of COVID-19 and 10 additional deaths Sunday, though health officials said the case numbers and deaths may reflect delays in weekend reporting.

...As of Aug. 7, unvaccinated adults between 18 and 49 years old were 25 times more likely to be hospitalized with COVID-19 than vaccinated adults of the same age. It's not as simple to measure the number of times more likely this unvaccinated demographic is to die from the disease because there have been "virtually no deaths in vaccinated members of this age group," according to Public Health officials.
When you lost FOX, what's left?

All ECMO-bound COVID patients in Israel below age of 60, data shows
[YNet] - Israeli ECMO Association says all unvaccinated patients who were on ECMO since start of 4th wave passed away, while older people, some with underlying health conditions, survived because they were fully vaccinated
So, if I adopted the debating mannerisms of Ranburg's anti-vaxxer squatters, I would be compelled to say something along the lines "Anti-vaxxer influencers are murdering people". Fortunately, I know better. In any case, I'm willing to leave the work to tort lawyers who, I'm sure, are talking to the bereaved families right now.

p.s. Lets do an informal census. How many of 'burg regulars are vaccinated with mRNA, and how many had serious side effects?

Israeli anti-vaxxers submit ethics complaint to ICC - report
[JPost] - Anshei Emet (People of Truth), a group against coronavirus vaccination, filed a suit against the Israeli government with the International Criminal Court (ICC) earlier this month, arguing that Israel’s administration of the coronavirus vaccine and policies to encourage vaccination are considered "crimes against humanity" according to the Nuremberg Code.
Our monkeys always imitate American monkeys.
...Despite the suit’s claims of severe side effects, death and injuries allegedly related to the vaccine, Health Ministry data released amid the vaccination campaign showed that only about 0.25% of Israelis who received the vaccination experienced any side effects, and that the vast majority of these reported side effects were light and temporary, including general weakness and headaches, dizziness, feeling faint, muscle pain, fever, joint pain, nausea, stomach pain, chills, throat pain, coughs and runny noses.
But, in USA, hundred of thousands die - to believe our resident anti-vaxxers. It must be the diet.

Side effects: Arm muscle a bit pressure sensitive for a few hours, a few warm flushes for a few hours, a bit tired the next day. I wouldn't even call this "side effects". The second jab had even milder side effects that vanished a few hours later.

#30  Pfizer/Biontech 2x for Mr. Wife, me, trailing daughter #1, final daughter, and my 95-year old mother. td#2 and her husband were vaccinated as soon as it was available to them, though they both probably had Covid in 2020 — td#2 was pretty sick at the time. My two siblings and my sister-in-law, Mr. Wife’s sister, her husband, their adult daughters and their husbands all vaccinated. I seem to recall that the niece who is a nurse-practitioner on a Covid ward caught it at one point, but recovered pretty quickly — and then got vaccinated when that became available. Typical mild side effects in the first two days after the vaccination all around.

We have concerns about final daughter, who was diagnosed this year as immunocompromised and has been getting generalized immunoglobulin infusions in an attempt to boost her immune response — they let her get the Covid vaccine though they were pretty sure it wouldn’t do much for her. So Mr. Wife plans to get the booster shot to add an extra layer of protection so that he doesn’t bring illness into the house. I figure I’ll wait — I don’t go out into the world nearly as much as he does, so the odds I’ll be exposed to anything are much lower. And I have no idea whether my mother plans to get the booster when it comes out.

In Mr. Wife’s extended family we’ve lost a few relatives to Covid, and had a scare a few months ago when the youngest nephew, age 2, was diagnosed with it — but after a miserable few hours he was as bouncy as ever. We have friends who have needed hospitalization, at least one who survived being on a ventilator... and one dear friend who was only moderately ill months ago, but is very unhappy to be still dealing with reduced energy and brain fog. And friends’ friends & relatives who have gotten terribly ill or died.

My darling father- and mother-in-law have refused the vaccine, so we are all very careful to stay away from them when anyone is ill or has been exposed.

I respect everyone’s choice, but I am tired of the flame wars which serve only to harden opinions.

#40  I got the Moderna and had no problems, in fact I got tired of having to sit for 15 minutes afterwards so left early. My daughter got Moderna and she didn't have any problems either. I'm embarrassed to admit I don't know what vaccine my son and family all got back in Virginia except for my daughter in law who didn't receive the vaccine since she was pregnant. They all came down with COVID feeling miserable for a week then were all fine, so their added natural immunity is reassuring. My Kaiser Dr recommends that I get the booster, I'll probably get it since any long term problems at my age are irrelevant

As for the rest of you vaxers. I wish you the best of luck. I hope the vaccines work as well as promised. Many of my close family are vaxed and I want them (and all) to be well. For now the vax is not for me.

Iraq
Kadhimi visits Tarmiyah as new operation launched against ISIS sleeper cells
[Rudaw] A new security operation targeting Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(ISIS) remnants has been launched in Tarmiyah,
...sometimes spelt Tarmia, a country town of 90,000 which apparently belongs to the mayoralty of Baghdad. It’s full of Sunni tribals, and once held Saddam Hussein’s uranium enrichment facility, back when Iraq was actively working to develop its own nukes, which explains why ISIS was happy there...
north of Baghdad, announced by Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi in a visit to the area on Monday.

It is the second operation to be launched in as many weeks, with the first launched on August 14.

Kadhimi visited Tarmiyah’s military operations command on Monday, meeting with security officials and tribal leaders.

During the visit, the PM said the fight against terror is a "collective responsibility" and requires cooperation between both security forces and civilians.

Kadhimi’s military spokesperson Yehia Rasool announced the start of the operation on Twitter, and said additional forces will be sent to Tarmiyah.

Tarmiyah is vulnerable to ISIS attacks, with four soldiers killed in an IED explosion in the district in May. A security source blamed the attack on the terror group.

Five ISIS gunnies were killed in an ambush in Tarmiyah in February.

An hideout used by ISIS sleeper cells was destroyed in the area on Thursday.

About time: Why the Hurriyat Conference must be banned with immediate effect
[OneIndia] A decision on whether or not to ban both factions of the Hurriyat Conference is currently awaiting a decision at the highest levels. There is every possibility that a ban under the stringent provisions of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act may be imposed on both factions of the Hurriyat, which is at the forefront of the separatist movement in Jammu and Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
A recent probe learnt that the granting of MBBS seats to Kashmiri students by institutions in Pakistain clearly indicate that the money being collected from the students being used to fund terrorism in the Valley.

Whether or not to ban the Hurriyat has been a subject matter of debate for long. The fact is that a lot of money was being by the State on the Hurriyat. The debate on whether to use the tax payer's money to guard the Hurriyat leaders who promote separatism and terrorism has also been debated.

Iowa Sen. Joni Ernst on Afghan Refugees: ‘We Want to Welcome Those Who are Fully Vetted'
[Townhall] This week, Iowa Sen. Joni Ernst said Afghans being evacuated amid the Taliban recapture of Afghanistan will be welcomed in the United States as long as they’ve been "fully vetted."

During an interview on ABC’s "This Week" segment, Ernst explained that she and her Republican colleagues want to welcome Afghan evacuees into the United States once they have been vetted and criticized Biden’s "haphazard" handling of our pullout from Afghanistan.

"We want to welcome those that are fully vetted," Ernst said. "That is extremely important — that we make sure they are vetted before they touch down on American soil."

[OneIndia] Another person was arrested in Assam for allegedly supporting the Taliban
...the Pashtun equivalent of men...
's takeover of Afghanistan on social media, taking the total number of such apprehensions in the state to 16, police said on Monday.

The man, who worked in a tyre shop in Jorabat area of Guwahati, was arrested for his Facebook post in support of the Taliban, a police brass hat said.

Fifteen people, including an Assam Police constable, a big shot of the state unit of Jamaat Ulema-e-Hind, a medical student and a journalist, were arrested from various districts on August 20 and 21 for their social media posts supporting the bad boy group's takeover of Afghanistan.

The arrested people have been booked under several sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, IT Act and CrPC, he said, adding that more people were under the radar for similar posts.

Zehra Duman is an Australian-born Turkish woman who traveled to Daesh territory where she married a jihadi fighter. Born in Melbourne, Duman is reported to have been a friend of Tara Nettleton and Khaled Sharrouf, who travelled from Australia to Daesh territory, with their five children, in 2014. Duman's online recruiting activities have been the subject of scholarly attention. Duman married an Australian jihadist named Mahmoud Abdullatif, who was killed in action five weeks after their marriage. Duman was described as an active recruiter of volunteers, who taunted Australian authorities to "catch me if you can". In "Fatal Attraction: Western Muslimas and ISIS", Anita Perešin identified Duman as a female jihad supporter who claimed to want to personally undertake suicide mission or engage in combat. Provocative photos Duman tweeted, of herself and four other women, clad head to toe in black, holding AK-47 rifles, and posing over an expensive sports car, have been widely republished.

Dutch opening 2nd center for Afghan evacuees
[IsraelTimes] Dutch authorities say that a temporary accommodation center for Afghan evacuees at an army barracks in the northern Netherlands is full and a second location is being opened.

The government agency that houses asylum seekers says that the camp in the remote village of Zoutcamp reached its capacity yesterday night, with the arrival of 178 Afghan evacuees.

A new accommodation center is being opened to house more Afghans at another military barracks in the central town of Zeist.

The Dutch defense ministry says it has completed nine flights out of Kabul to airports in the region since the Taliban
...mindless ferocity in a turban...
seized control of Afghanistan. Six flights carrying evacuees from Afghanistan have arrived in the Netherlands carrying a total of more than 800 people. That number includes Dutch nationals, Afghans and citizens of other countries.

Afghanistan
Is Afghanistan the First Domino to Fall?
[Strategic Culture] It certainly looks like a domino that has been put in position poised to fall waiting for others to take their places in the line.

With America withdrawing from Afghanistan abruptly after some 20 years, one big question is being discussed throughout the strategic sphere by those both in big institutions and laying on their couches — is the American loss in Afghanistan the first domino to fall in the eventual collapse of the Global Hegemon? After all, Afghanistan is the "graveyard of empires" probably because it is an expression that sounds nice and because the Soviets fell apart a few years after losing to the locals. So this must be the "beginning of the end" right?

Well, we should never be so quick as to jump onto narrow narratives without looking at the big picture. Side-by-side images of the Americans and their allies fleeing Vietnam and Afghanistan by helicopter are flooding Facebook, posted by those in the Alternative Media who take great joy in any loss by the 21st century’s "Evil Empire" but they seem to forget that just a few decades after losing in Vietnam the United States won the Cold War and took dominance over the planet.

Afghan Refugee Claims Taliban Raping the Dead Bodies of Its Victims
[Breitbart] A female Afghan refugee using the name "Muskan" told India’s News18 on Saturday that Taliban fighters are raping both live women and the dead bodies of their victims.

News18’s account described Muskan as a "girl" who left her job in Afghanistan and fled to New Delhi after "her life was threatened by a Jihadist group." The article did not say exactly when she left Afghanistan.

"When we were there, we received numerous warnings. If you go to work, you are under threat, your family is under threat. After one warning, they would stop giving any warning," Muskan said.

"They rape dead bodies too. They don’t care whether the person is dead or alive. Can you imagine this?" she added.

Muskan claimed the Taliban is seizing women from "each household" in towns they conquered and planned a "horrible destiny" for any women suspected of working for the U.S.-supported Afghan federal government.

And this is not a taliban thing. It's everywhere strict sunnah abounds, even in Indonesia and saudi arabia.

3 more arrested in mob attack on Arab man in Bat Yam in May
[IsraelTimes] Three more Jewish men have been arrested in connection with the mob attack on an Arab in Bat Yam in May, during the war with Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
and the internal Jewish-Arab violence it brought on.

The three, all residents of the city, are suspected of beating Saeed Mousa, as he tried to flee from a huge violent mostly peaceful crowd by the beach.

Several people have already been indicted in the incident that shocked the country.

Were Batteries included?

But look at this from the Military Industrial Complex angle.

Now the US DOD needs to replaced those Items ($$$$$).

Naturally to be replaced with now required better and More Expensive models.

Also sooner than later there will be a need for replacement parts and supplies. Which of course can't be sold directly to the Taliban.
So 3rd and 4th party middle men will be needed. ($$$$$) all around.

I'd be watching the Generals and Politicians that planned this massive DOD armament dump. Surely some ($$$$$ or JOB's) is going to end up in some pockets.

Or we have some of the Stupidest people in leadership roles protecting the USA and our citizens.

Afghanistan
Taliban starts removing barricades from Kabul streets
Remember when Sultan Erdogan I cracked down on the independent news sites, and suddenly they were all singing the government tune? It’s starting in Afghanistan.
[KhaamaPress] In a welcoming move, the Taliban
...the Pashtun equivalent of men...
has started removing cement barricades erected on the streets of Kabul aimed at preventing attacks on the government facilities.

The process which started Sunday, August 22, the Kabul municipality personnel removed barriers erected in front of the defense ministry.

The barricades had dramatically narrowed the streets of Kabul and were said to be the biggest cause behind bumper-to-bumper traffic in the city which had created major problems for the citizens.

The barricades were not only put by the government in front of every government facility, but were also improvised by warlords, MPs, ministers, commanders, and foreign embassies and organizations so that they secure their residence.

The biggest city of Afghanistan-Kabul was also the most congested city in which it took hours in peak hours-eight to four- to drive a distance that would normally take minutes.

Clogging the roads for 20 to 30 minutes for a high-ranking official, MP, minister, or commander to cross was another problem for the folks of Kabul which has not been noticed since the Taliban took power.

The initiative was firstly conducted in Jalalabad city of eastern Nangarhar
The unfortunate Afghan province located adjacent to Mohmand, Kurram, and Khyber Agencies. The capital is Jalalabad. The province was the fief of Younus Khalis after the Soviets departed and one of his sons is the current provincial Taliban commander. Nangarhar is Haqqani country..
province after the Taliban took over the province.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Russian war flick set in 2015 Syria premieres October 7th
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited

The film is about the downing of a Russian SU-24 fighter-bomber by Turkish warplanes in 2015. One crew of was rescued by Russian special forces, while the other died defending against attack by ground forces sympathetic to Turkey.

Trailer is in Russian, but in a translatable format.

[RedStar] The film, produced by the Tri XMedia film company, was shot jointly with the Russian Ministry of Defense with the participation of the Russia-1 TV channel. This is the first feature film about one of the operations of a Russian military group in the Syrian Arab Republic.

The film, directed by Igor Kopylov, is based on real events in the Syrian Arab Republic, when in the north of the country, on the Syrian-Turkish border, on November 24, 2015, a Turkish fighter jet shot down a Russian supersonic fighter-bomber Su-24.

The crew managed to eject. Navigator Konstantin Murakhtin survived and was rescued. Pilot Lieutenant Colonel Oleg Peshkov, who was descending with a parachute, was shot in the air by the militants. Later, all the terrorists involved in the death of the Russian pilot were destroyed, and the deceased pilot was awarded the title of Hero of Russia posthumously.

Now there is a fighter-bomber named after Oleg Peshkov, and the roll call in the fifth company of the Yekaterinburg Suvorov military school, where he studied, begins with his last name. A monument in honor of Hero of Russia Oleg Peshkov was erected in Syria at the Khmeimim airbase.

Nearby Khmeimim airbase, there are also monuments to his comrades who have completed their military duty to the end: the helicopter pilot Colonel Ryafagat Khabibullin, who died in 2016 while liberating Palmyra from militants, and the pilot of the Su-25SM attack aircraft Roman Filipov, who was shot down by terrorists over the Syrian province of Idlib in 2018 performing a combat mission in the Syrian Arab Republic.

Kalashnikov produces first batch of submachine guns for pilots
By Stanislav Krasilnikov

[TASS] The Kalashnikov Group has produced the first batch of cutting-edge small-size AM-17 submachine guns for airmen and crews of combat vehicles, the company’s press service told TASS at the International Military-Technical Forum Army-2021.

"The batch of [AM-17] prototypes has already been produced. We plan to initiate state trials by the end of the year. Preliminary tests are expected to take place soon. India-Pakistan
Top LeT commander, his aide killed in Srinagar
[GREATERKASHMIR] A top commander of LeT and his deputy were killed in a brief shootout in Srinagar on Monday, with the Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
police chief describing the killings as a "major success".

Pertinently, Abbas and Saqib figured in police's hit list of top 10 hard boyz operating in the valley.

Besides the slain duo, Salim Parray, Yousuf Kantroo, Reyaz Shetergund, Farooq Nali, Zubair Wani, Ashraf Molvi, Umer Mushtaq Khandey & Wakeel Shah were also in the list. Wakeel was killed along with two associates in a shootout with security forces in Nagbaeran forest area in south Kashmir's Pulwama on Saturday.

Giving details, Inspector General of Police, Kashmir, Vijay Kumar said that ten coppers in civvies killed the duo. "After information, ten coppers from J&K police in civvies went there and cordoned off the area," the IGP told news hounds in a brief conversation here, as per news agency GNS.

Kumar said that the duo were warned, but they fired upon the police, who retaliated, leading to a shootout in which they were killed.

The IGP said that Abbas was motivating youth to join bully boy ranks while Saqib "carried out killings on the instructions of the Abbas."

A resident of Rampur village in Kulgam, Sheikh, 45, was a top bully boy commander from the south Kashmir district and one of the oldest hard boyz in the valley, reported GNS.

Previously associated with Hizbul Mujahideen
...Party of Holy Warriors, founded by Muhammad Ahsan Dar in September 1989. One of the Pak sock puppets waging jihad in Indian Kashmir. It was originally organized as the armed wing of Jamaat-e-Islami. In 1990, Dar declared Hizbul as the sword arm of Jamaat. Hizbul murdered many of the pro-independence intelligentsia in Kashmir. After the organization was taken over by Syed Salahuddin Dar and several other ex-Hizb leaders were assassinated between 2001 and 2003...
, sources told GNS that Sheikh was part of The Resistance® Front (TRF), which police say is a shadow group of Lashkar-e-Taiba
...the Army of the Pure, an Ahl-e-Hadith terror organization founded by Hafiz Saeed. LeT masquerades behind the Jamaat-ud-Dawa facade within Pakistain and periodically blows things up and kills people in India. Despite the fact that it is banned, always an interesting concept in Pakistain, the organization remains an blatant tool and perhaps an arm of the ISI...
(LeT).

Sheikh had escaped several times after breaking the cordon in the last six years. Saqib was resident of Srinagar, as per the report.

-Lurid Crime Tales-
California man found with over 300 stolen recall election ballots
More on this story from yesterday.
[WASHINGTONTIMES] A Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, man was reportedly arrested in possession of 300 mail-in votes for the upcoming gubernatorial recall election, along with guns and drugs.

According to reports Monday by Los Angeles news outlets, the unnamed man was arrested last week while sleeping in his car parked at a Torrance 7-Eleven.

"Inside the vehicle, the officers found a loaded handgun, some narcotics, and then they found a bunch of mail and what turned out to be over 300 election ballots in the backseat of the vehicle," Sgt. Mark Ponegalek of the Torrance Police Department said, according to TV station KABC.

"They appeared to be in a box, but they were also kind of strewn across the backseat of the vehicle and so there was just a large portion of mail in that backseat."

KABC reported that police do not know how the man acquired the ballots. He was arrested last week, but he has since been released on his own recognizance.

Sgt. Ponegalek said the ballots "were un-tampered with, unopened."

They were "primarily from addresses in Lawndale," he said. "There were some from Compton. We’re still trying to figure out where all these belonged to at this time so we’re working with the Los Angeles (county) election office as well as the U.S. Postal Inspector."

Citing the Los Angeles County Registrar’s office, KABC reported that the ballots in question were for the Sept. 14 recall election but none had been filled out for return.

"There’s nothing to indicate this was focused on the election," the county registrar’s office said.

Europe
Cyprus sends 88 Syrian migrants back to Lebanon
[AlAhram] Cyprus signed an agreement with Leb last year to take back anyone trying to reach the island by boat.

Cyprus on Monday sent 88 Syrian migrants colonists back to Leb
...an Iranian colony situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozeen flavors of Christians. It is the home of Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers, a practice dating back to the heady human sacrifice days of Baal Moloch. In 2020 Hezbollahblew up a considerable portion of Beirut and many of its inhabitants when its ammonium nitrate faci8lity exploded. They blamed it on... somebody else. It wasn't them though. Trust them on that...
after they tried to reach the eastern Mediterranean island nation on two boats.

Interior Minister Nicos Nouris told The News Agency that Dare Not be Named that rescue crews continue to search for one of five men who jumped overboard after police vessels intercepted their boat off Cyprus' eastern coast. Nouris said police picked up four men, but the fifth, who was wearing a mask, flippers and a life preserver, managed to swim away.

One pregnant woman and another man who was ill were airlifted to hospital.

Coastal radar had picked up two vessels approaching the Cypriot coastline Sunday evening. Marine police vessels intercepted the boats _ which carried a combined 48 men, 15 women and 25 minors _15 kilometers (9 miles) from coast.

They were transferred to a chartered boat on Monday for the trip back to Lebanon under police escort.

Nouris said Cyprus has a right to protect its borders from such irregular migration despite criticism by human rights
...which are usually entirely different from personal liberty...
groups that the deal violates international law because migrants colonists aren't given the chance to apply for asylum.

More than 1,337 Syrians have reached Cyprus by sea since 2019. Many more migrants colonists come from The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the decaying remnant of the Ottoman Empire...
through the ethnically divided island's unrecognized, breakaway north. Authorities say the number of migrants colonists who have either received or have applied for protection in Cyprus now accounts for 4% of the population.

Cyprus has asked the European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
's border agency Frontex to stem the flow of migrant arrivals from countries including Turkey, Syria and Lebanon.

Cyprus lies 170 kilometers (100 miles) west of Syria and 230 kilometers (140 miles) west of Lebanon.

Afghanistan
Afghanistan trade with Pakistan increases by 50% after Taliban takeover
The government of Pakistan and the Taliban have ended their siege of the Afghan economy. Now to open up and start collecting all those lovely taxes and fees they denied the previous government.
[KhaamaPress] Afghanistan’s chamber of commerce and industry said that despite the problems in transit, the trade between Afghanistan and Pakistain has risen by 50% in the past week as the Taliban
...Arabic for students...
now hold control over Afghanistan’s borders and dry ports.

Deputy of the chamber Khan Jan Alokozai said that because of the closure of banks the problems in the transit sector are still visible but the experts of Afghanistan and imports of Pakistain have seen a rise.

Meanwhile,
...back at the wrecked scow, Agent 49 felt gingerly for his head. It was still there. He had been hoping differently...
members of Afghanistan’s chamber of commerce and investment also met with the members of the Taliban on Monday, August 23, and shared the problems of the private sector and the Taliban assured to solve them.

Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
has also said that the export of gas and oil has been increased after the Taliban asked the country to.

Spokesperson of Afghanistan Islamic Emirate AIE Zabiullah Mujahid in gathering on Monday said that they are focused on the economic situation and are working hard to implement the schemes they have prepared.

In a rare move, AIE’s commission for economic and financial affairs has directed the customs not to allow the export of metal until another announcement.

The commission said that foreign countries are paying less amount of money for the metal while internal factories and companies need them in large quantities.

'It makes no sense': NOPD detective slain in Houston mourned as hunt for his killers continues
[NOLA] Detective Everett Briscoe had earned his vacation.

A 13-year veteran of the New Orleans Police Department, Briscoe had investigated homicides and other serious crimes across the city for over a decade. The 41-year-old father of two boys was preparing to pursue a university degree in criminal justice and, like many, was working to keep his family safe during the coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague)
...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men...
pandemic.

So as he unwound during a trip to Houston on Saturday night, Briscoe decided to grab dinner on the patio of the Grotto Restorante in the Texas city's ritzy Galleria neighborhood. But at 5:15 p.m., the evening turned tragic when two button men approached Briscoe and other patrons, demanded their belongings and opened fire, killing Briscoe and critically injuring another man visiting from New Orleans.

The slaying stunned New Orleans civic and law enforcement leaders, who fought back tears Sunday as they decried the callousness of the killing and the plague of violent mostly peaceful crime surging in U.S. cities.

"Having to inform (Briscoe’s widow) and two sons that their father and husband weren’t coming home because of senseless violence is ... difficult," NOPD Superintendent Shaun Ferguson said, flanked by Mayor LaToya Cantrell and other leaders at a news conference at police headquarters. "We lost a good one."

Councilman Jay Banks, who has known Briscoe for years through both men's membership in the Zulu Social Aid & Pleasure Club, struggled to contain his despair.

"No other family should have to go through this," he said, his voice rising in anger and grief. "Nobody else should have to stand at these podiums and talk about this. ... We've got to figure out how to stop this, y'all. It makes no sense. It makes no sense for this much pain and grief to continue."

Houston Police Chief Troy Finner told news hounds on Saturday that Briscoe and the other patrons were complying with the robbers’ demands when one of the assailants began shooting.

Struck were Briscoe and Dyrin Riculfy, who were each in Houston on a trip with fellow Zulu members, officials said. Though Briscoe died Saturday, Riculfy — the 43-year-old owner of a party bus and tuxedo rental company — was said to be fighting for his life Sunday.

The attackers then fled, apparently without stealing anything, in a gray or silver Nissan Altima with paper license plates.

Finner said officers were scouring Houston for the robbers and their getaway vehicle, and he implored the public to come forward with any information that could help Sherlocks make arrests.

"I’m not going to let ... a few little thugs tear down our city," Finner said. "Right now, I’m damn mad. It makes no sense."

Cyprus to revoke passports of Turkish Cypriot officials over 'hostile' actions
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Cyprus said on Monday it would revoke 14 passports issued to Ottoman Turkish Cypriot officials in the breakaway north of the island over their "hostile" actions.

Government front man Marios Pelekanos did not specify which officials were being targeted, but said the decision was linked to Ottoman Turkish and Ottoman Turkish Cypriot plans to open up the ghost town of Varosha.

Ottoman Turkish President His Enormity, Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First
...Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey. In Anatolia did Recep Bey a stately Presidential Palace decree, that has 1100 rooms. That's 968 more than there are in the White House, 400 more than in Versailles, and 325 more than Buckingham Palace, so you know who's really most important...
and Ottoman Turkish Cypriot leader Ersin Tatar said last month they would reopen part of the former resort, abandoned since Ankara’s 1974 invasion of the island.

"The cabinet decided to revoke, not renew or issue Republic of Cyprus passports to a number of persons who either participate in the pseudo-state’s cabinet or are members of the Varosha opening committee," Pelekanos said.

The actions of these officials "undermine the illusory sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity and security of the Republic of Cyprus," he said.

The official Cyprus News Agency said 14 passports would be revoked — 10 held by cabinet members and four by members of the Varosha committee.

"Their specific hostile actions against the Republic of Cyprus promote the implementation of The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor...
’s plans to change the status of Varosha, contrary to United Nations
...an organization conceived in the belief that we're just one big happy world, with the sort of results you'd expect from such nonsense...
resolutions," Pelekanos added.

Ottoman Turkish troops seized the northern third of Cyprus in 1974 in response to an aborted coup in Nicosia aiming at uniting the island with Greece.

The Republic of Cyprus, whose overwhelming majority is Greek Cypriot and which has been a European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
member since 2004, has effective control over the southern two-thirds of the island.

Only Ankara recognizes the breakaway self-declared Ottoman Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).

IDF strikes Hamas targets in Gaza in response to incendiary balloons
[JPost] The IDF struck targets in the Gaza Strip late Monday night and into Tuesday morning after 10 fires were sparked by incendiary balloons launched into Israel from Gaza, the IDF Spokesperson's Unit confirmed.

IDF fighter jets had struck a weapons production site in Khan Younis, a terrorist tunnel in Jabaliya and a rocket-launching platform in the Shejaiya neighborhood of Gaza City, which was located in a civilian area near a school, the IDF said.

In response to machine-gun fire from Gaza that was heard in Israel, the IDF carried out an additional strike on a Hamas terrorist tunnel in Khan Younis.

The strike was in response to the firing of incendiary balloons, which "proved once again that the terrorist organization Hamas continues to lead and degenerate Gaza into a terrorist state," the IDF said, adding that they will continue to strongly respond to further attempts at terrorism and that it holds Hamas responsible for everything that happens in Gaza.

The balloon launches came as Palestinian factions threatened to continue "popular activities," including border protests, until the blockade on the Gaza Strip is lifted and Qatari funds are transferred into the coastal enclave.

Pelosi and Co's hypocrisy unmasked and on full display

[NYPOST] The masks were off — literally and figuratively.

Video shows House Speaker Nancy San Fran Nan Pelosi
Congresswoman-for-Life from the San Francisco Bay Area, born into a family of professional politicians. On-again-off-again Speaker of the House. It's not her fault when they lose, but it's her accomplishment when they win. Noted for her heavily botoxed grimace and occasional senior... uhhh... moments...
, the queen of mask-pushing, addressing a weekend crowd of maskless Democratic donors, herself also unmasked.

Yes, the event was outside. But the bigwigs sat close together for the hours-long luncheon in COVID-riddled Napa Valley, and the CDC does urge masking in "crowded outdoor settings" in such high-transmission areas.

The truth is they shouldn’t need to mask, since Pelosi — and, we’d wager, most everyone there — is vaccinated.

But Pelosi doesn’t argue common sense when it comes to everyone else. Her public mask obsession is such that Elle magazine wrote up a "cute" piece about where she buys hers and how she matches them to her pantsuits as a political fashion statement. Just last month, she called Republican Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy
...the GOP house majority whip. He replaces Eric Cantor, who got whupped because his politix are like Kevin McCarthy's...
"such a moron" for opposing her reimposition of mask mandates in the House.

Many churches actually use that word during sermons to describe what happens to non-believers but and is not considered a swear word but a verb describing a final form of judgement from God.

Russia to unveil new version of BMP-3 combat vehicle
By Roman Azanov
[TASS] A new modification of the BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicle furnished with the Berezhok combat module will be demonstrated at the Army 2021 international military-technical forum for the first time, the press office of the Precision Weapons Company (within the state tech corporation Rostec) told TASS on Monday.

"The BMP-3 vehicle with the Berezhok combat module developed by the Shipunov Instrument-Making Design Bureau (part of the Precision Weapons Company within Rostec) will be featured at the Army 2021 forum," the press office said.

Work continues to upgrade the BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicle, which envisages mounting new armaments on this hardware, the press office said.

"The configuration of BMP-3s will change completely when new combat modules are installed. There are also plans to install other armaments that fit for the dimensional and weight characteristics of the chassis of the BMP-3, which must, undoubtedly, remain an amphibious vehicle," the press office added.

Currently, the Russian troops are receiving BMP-2M combat vehicles outfitted with the Berezhok module.

The BMP-3 is one of the basic types of the armor in the Russian Army and the world’s most popular infantry fighting vehicle.

Looks like they chucked the 100mm cannon earlier models had.

Dr. Fauci's Economic Lockdowns Killed 267,000 Infants in Low and Middle-Income Countries
[GatewayPundit] In March 2020, Dr. Tony Fauci urged the President of the United States to lock down the entire US economy for two weeks to slow the spread of the coronavirus.

Of course, the two weeks turned into several months. And even more devastating, was that several developing countries followed Dr. Fauci’s lead and also locked down their struggling economies.

In June 2020, Dr. Tony Fauci defended his economic lockdowns saying, “When you give advice about what should you be doing — People get confused. And they say, ‘Wow, you know, we shut down and we caused a great disruption in society. We caused great economic pain, loss of jobs… The fact that we shut down when we did and the rest of the world did, has saved hundreds of millions of infections and millions of lives.”

But now we know that Fauci’s lockdowns actually killed 267,000 infants in low and middle-income countries.

The Daily Mail reported:

Hundreds of thousands of babies died last year due to the economic fallout from COVID-19, a new modeling study suggests.

Researchers from World Bank Group, a financial institution headquartered in Washington, DC, estimated that an extra 267,000 infant fatalities were reported n 2020 in low- and middle-income countries.

This is seven percent higher than the number of newborns that usually die in the course of a year.

Past studies have examined indirect deaths caused by COVID-19, meaning not from the virus itself.

For example, one study found 75,000 Americans died indirectly due the pandemic such as delaying seeking life-saving medical care.

And preliminary figures from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention suggest that a record 93,000 people die from drug overdose deaths in the U.S. in 2020 due to the proliferation of fentanyl and the stress of the pandemic.

The Daily Mail article goes on to point out that the babies died of malnutrition and lack of access to healthcare rather than COVID itself, primarily in India.

Eritrea rebuffs US 'blackmail' after sanctions on army chief over Tigray allegations
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Eritrea
...is run by the People's Front for Democracy and Justice (PFDJ), with about the amounts of democracy and justice you'd expect from a party with that name. National elections have been periodically scheduled and cancelled; none have ever been held in the country. The president, Isaias Afewerki, has been in office since independence in 1993 and will probably die there of old age...
on Monday angrily rejected US sanctions imposed on its army chief over allegations of widespread rights abuses in Æthiopia’s war-torn Tigray region.

"The government of Eritrea rejects, both in letter and spirit, the utterly baseless allegations and blackmail directed against it," the Eritrean foreign ministry said in a statement on Twitter.

The US Treasury Department earlier Monday announced the sanctions against General Filipos Woldeyohannes, saying forces under his command were responsible for "massacres, looting, and sexual assaults" in Tigray.

But the Eritrean foreign ministry described the accusations as "unacceptable", saying: "This is not, indeed, the first time for the US Administration to float such baseless smear campaigns against Eritrea."

"In the face of the repetitive and unwarranted accusations, Eritrea cannot remain silent. In the circumstances, Eritrea calls on the US Administration to bring the case to an independent adjudication if it indeed has facts to prove its false allegations."

Firefight at Kabul airport kills Afghan guard; 16,000 more leave Afghanistan,US chopper picks up 16 Americans in Kabul
[UPI] A firefight erupted early Monday between unknown attackers and Afghan cops and Western allies at the north gate of the airport in Kabul, officials said.

The German military said via Twitter that a shootout involving American, German and Afghan soldiers engaging unknown assailants began at 4:13 a.m.

At least one person was killed and multiple people were maimed. They were members of Afghan cops, the military said, adding that no German soldiers were harmed.

The White House said Monday that the U.S. military evacuated about 10,400 people on 28 flights from Kabul between Sunday and Monday morning. It said other coalition members evacuated almost 6,000 on 61 planes.

Since Aug. 14, the White House added, about 37,000 people have been evacuated and 42,000 have been relocated since the end of July.
Khaama Press, which is in full “Don’t hurt me!” mode, reports:
The chaotic situation in Hamid Karzai International Airport is not only mitigated but has increased and a gunfight on Monday, August 23, killed at least one and wounded three more.

An unknown gunman reportedly opened fire at Afghan guards which prompted responsive fires both by Afghan forces and US troops.

The slain and those wounded are not yet fully confirmed, whether they are the Taliban members or the Afghan force members.

A special unit of the National Directorate of Security is not yet surrendered and is assisting the foreign troops in particular the US ones to evacuate people.

The incident happened at the northern gate of Kabul airport.

The Taliban officials have not commented on the gunfight yet and all the gates of the airport closed as thousands of men, women, and children are still awaiting a flight in blazing weather at the doors.

The chaos in Hamid Karzai International Airport has triggered anger among the Afghan people on social media and has called the situation to be a sheer impudence as women are hugged by US military personnel to cross barricades into the airport.

People have asked the applicants to be patient, wait for the order to prevail in the airport, and do not let such a shame which is defaming the people of Afghanistan on a global stage.

US sends helicopter into Kabul neighborhood to extricate stranded Americans
[IsraelTimes] The US military sent a helicopter into a Kabul neighborhood to pick up stranded Americans on Monday as the army reported its biggest day of evacuation flights out of Afghanistan by far.

With access still difficult, the US military went beyond the airport to carry out another helicopter retrieval of Americans. US officials said a military helicopter picked up 16 American citizens Monday and brought them onto the airfield for evacuation. This was at least the second such rescue mission beyond the airport; Kirby said that last Thursday, three Army helicopters picked up 169 Americans near a hotel just beyond the airport gate and flew them onto the airfield.

US President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. An incredibly corrupt version of Jar-Jar Binks, only well into his dotage. He also abandoned Afghanistan....
’s national security adviser, Jake Sullivan, said at the White House that talks with the Taliban
...mindless ferocity in a turban...
are continuing as the administration looks for additional ways to safely move more Americans and others into the Kabul airport.

In a reminder of the urgency felt amid a dizzying array of security threats to the evacuation effort, the Pentagon posted a video of a laser near the airport targeting a US Air Force C-17 aircraft and apparently attempting to disrupt the pilot during landing.

After more than a week of evacuations plagued by major obstacles, including Taliban forces and crushing crowds that are making approaching the airport difficult and dangerous, the number of people flown out met — and exceeded — US projections for the first time. The count was more than twice the 3,900 flown out in the previous 24 hours on US military planes.

Army Gen. Stephen Lyons, head of US Transportation Command, which manages the military aircraft that are executing the Kabul airlift, told a Pentagon news conference that more than 200 planes are involved, including aerial refueling planes, and that arriving planes are spending less than an hour on the tarmac at Kabul before loading and taking off. He said the nonstop mission is taking a toll on aircrews.

"They’re tired," Lyons said of the crews. "They’re probably exhausted in some cases."

On a more positive note, Lyons said that in addition to the widely reported case of an Afghan woman giving birth aboard a US evacuation aircraft, two other babies have been born in similar circumstances. He did not provide details.

The Pentagon said it has added a fourth US military base, in New Jersey, to three others — in Virginia, Texas and Wisconsin — that are prepared to temporarily house arriving Afghans. Maj. Gen. Hank Williams, the Joint Staff deputy director for regional operations, told news hounds there are now about 1,200 Afghans at those military bases. The four bases combined are capable of housing up to 25,000 evacuees, Kirby said.

Afghan evacuees continued to arrive at Dulles International Airport outside of Washington. A bus carried some of the latest arrivals from Dulles airport to another site for what would be one of many processing stops before they reach new homes in the United States.

Over 700 Indians evacuated from Afghanistan so far
[OneIndia] With six flights of the Indian Air Force and Air India undertaking missions in Afghanistan, the number of Indians evacuated from the war torn country has crossed 700.

Two more flights would be flying into Kabul today to evacuate more Indians. The evacuation mission began from August 16 onwards and in extremely tough conditions, scores of Indians were evacuated from Afghanistan that was taken over by the Taliban
...Arabic for students...
earlier this month.

The operation to bring back those stranded from Afghanistan was monitored by External Affairs Minister, S Jaishankar and National Security Advisor, Ajit Doval. The first C17 had 40 Indians, while the second one comprised 100 which included Rudrendra Tandon, the Indian envoy to Afghanistan.

Sources tell OneIndia that there were several checkpoints that had to be manouvered. While most of them were being manned by the Taliban, there were some which had rogue elements. The problem was with these rogue elements who could have been detrimental to the operation to get the Indians out, the source cited above also said.

India also coordinated with several countries to ensure that this operation was a success. The other issues was that the Kabul Airport had no space and hence the C17 had to be parked for a while at Tajikistan.

As the operations began the C17 was flown from the airbase at Ayni from time to time. The C17 had to be diverted due to the turmoil on the ground at the Kabul airport. There were numerous countries which were trying to evacuate their citizens as a result of which the Kabul Airport had become extremely busy.

Gaza factions plan another border rally Wednesday
A good time will be had by all... except those killed of course.
[IsraelTimes] Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks.
-based Paleostinian factions announce plans for a major rally in the southern Gaza Strip near the border with Israel Wednesday, as tensions continue to escalate between Israel, Hamas, one of the armed feet of the Moslem Brüderbund millipede, and Egypt.

According to schedules published by Hamas-aligned media, buses will transport demonstrators from across southern Gaza to participate in the rally.
Pay will be minimum wage, but bag lunches and drinks will be provided.
The event has been dubbed by its organizers "the Sword of Jerusalem shall not be sheathed," a reference to Hamas’s name for the May battle between Gaza and Israel.

A similar protest in Malika camp east of Gaza City on Saturday left two Gazooks and one Israeli soldier at death's door. The Israeli soldier, Border Police officer Barel Shmueli, was shot by a pistol-wielding Paleostinian man at point-blank range near at the Gaza border barrier.

The liberal safari into inceldom has only just begun
by Mary Harrington

[UnHerd] Meme-making anthropologists massively misunderstand online subcultures

After the recent mass shooting in Plymouth,
Wikipedia has a good summary of the events of 12 August, 2921, when Jake Davison, 22, who had lifelong untreated mental health problems, killed his mother with a legally owned pump action shotgun, then walked up the street shooting the people he encountered for the next quarter hour before killing himself.
there has been much discussion of the ‘incel’ subculture that many now hold responsible for Jake Davison’s murderous actions. Notably, the aftermath saw a flurry of appearances by (typically blonde and middle-class) morally correct female ‘experts’ on TV and radio, to offer insights about the new menace.
Possibly if this young man had gotten the treatment he needed, he would not have become an incel, or at least wouldn’t have run amok with a shotgun.
One such was cartoonist and creator of Instagrammable wokeness, Lily O’Farrell, with a series of cartoons describing her 18-month ‘deep dive’ into incel forums that landed her an appearance on BBC Woman’s Hour.

Her foray into this potentially hostile unexplored terrain has all the hallmarks of the intrepid explorers of the European colonial era. First they gain the natives’ trust by living alongside them before writing detailed ethnographies for consumption among respectable people back home.

I don’t know if O’Farrell meant to reference this pith-helmeted history of imperialist objectification when she depicted herself in camo trousers and backpack accessorised with binoculars, but it’s a shame she didn’t add puttees and a couple of native bearers as well.

Sarcasm aside, it’s probably inevitable that whichever regime currently dominates will send its favoured missionaries out to fact-find about groups deemed alien or hostile. In turn, they will try to recoup them for the ideological mainstream. Despite its protestations of anti-imperialism, the current regime is in that sense no exception.

O’Farrell’s cartoons list a series of common and fairly mainstream memes on her account. It glosses them with some simple observations about lack of opportunity, companionship or mental health support for young men. She then abruptly handbrake-turns into dismissing all such meme-based subcultures as a noxious outworking of patriarchy and as a terrorist threat.

The solution, we gather, is to treat meme-lords with suspicion, and (empathetically) strangle misogyny at the root. What this means in practice is less clear, though it surely cannot be a redoubling of those lectures about ‘toxic masculinity’ that drive young males to mutinous muttering in online subcultures hostile to women.

#2  The primary problem is mental illness, Wren. Incel is one result — shooting the neighbours is another. Treat the mental illness and he’d have bandwidth to handle social interaction.

You can never treat incels, they exist in millions and they are extremely misogynistic. In India itself they are going to be millions of incels who'll never find a spouse.

#11  You can never treat incels, they exist in millions and they are extremely misogynistic.

I an differentiating between the specific case of a mentally ill young man who gravitated toward an incel mindset instead of jihad or some other social movement because he is not capable of maturing in a normal way and those who got there for another reason, Wren. Almost all of those who call themselves incels do not shoot up their neighbourhood.

If there are millions of incels in India who are not mentally ill — still a small percentage of the total population, yes? — then y’all need to go back to older habits of deliberately socializing children starting in the primary grades, to ensure they have the skills they need to succeed in life and when courting potential romantic partners. The same over here, of course. And not just the boys — our girls need to understand that man-hating behaviours are not acceptable if they want a boyfriend and later to keep a husband.

Mark Steyn: Dead Superpower Walking
[JEWISHWORLDREVIEW] The War on Terror began with men plunging to their deaths from the highest floors of skyscrapers hit by airplanes; it ended with men plunging to their deaths from the undercarriage of a US airplane taking off from what's left of "Hamid Karzai International Airport" (the signs will be coming down even as you read this).

America is a global laughingstock right now, but that's no reason not to give Chairman Xi and Putin and every up-country village headman in Helmand a few more yuks. Step forward, State Department spokeswanker Ned Price:

State Department calls for Taliban to include women in its government

The United States is dead as a global power because of this kind of indestructible stupidity. You've lost, you blew it, it's over: The goatherds just decapitated you; could you at least have the self-respect not to run around like a headless chicken too stupid to know it's nogginless? Or like a broken doll lying on its back with its mechanism jammed on the same simpleton phrases: "Diversity is our strength... diversity is our strength..."

Contrast the Washington presser with that in Kabul:

Taliban spokesperson Zabiullah Mujahid says 'We have defeated a great power.'

Hmm. Ned Price vs Zabiullah Mujahid: tough call. The mountain of non-existent dollar bills that the bloated husk of federal government blows through every minute surely should buy sufficient self-awareness to know that, whatever else it may be, this is not a day for wankery as usual. Even CNN has a more proximate relationship to reality.

Just for the record, the Kingdom of Afghanistan introduced votes for women in 1964 - whereas Switzerland did not get even a very limited female franchise until 1971, and full suffrage not until the Nineties.

Yet, oddly, every Pushtun warlord prefers to keep his retirement account in Zurich.

#1  A nation is a mirror of its people and their mindset. The new majority mindset was a group of minorities just a few years ago. it is a very different mindset than the white majority that founded and ruled this nation until very recently.

#3  US will need to rebuild our military and cull the woke elements from command ranks. I don't really know how easy/difficult that is but its necessary.
