#5 Jefferson, about a week and a half ago, Moussa's opposite number at the OIC managed to both denounce the prospect of Western/European/UN military action in Libya, and demand the establishment of a no-fly zone in the very next breath. I'm pretty sure that the vast majority of the Islamic/Arabic diplomatic corps just doesn't have any real understanding of the world outside of rhetorical constructs and the odd oil bribery scheme. It's the "Dream Palace of the Arabs" in practice.

#7 My prediction is that the rebels will be sold down the river. Qaddafi will slaughter some, and let the rest become boat people and head out to the med as refugees. Europe will have to take them for humanitarian reasons.

The Arab leaders are too worried about their own skin. Qaddaffi stays in power, Al Qaeda recruitment goes through the roof.
