#3 US Embassy spokesman Stewart Tuttle said Washington sees the Israeli withdrawal âas an opportunity to re-energize the road map,â referring to an internationally backed peace plan that calls for the creation of a Palestinian state. But he said he had no information about a specific timetable.

This is just US govt blather and throw-away-line. Abbas has no control over Gaza. Hammas and every other terrorist outfit will take over, or already has. If Abbas lifts a finger he becomes a lead receptacle. The terrorists will not sit around. If they have a turf war, well, popcorn all around. They are emboldened, and have been deluding themselves that they have a great victory, when in reality they are filling in the vacuum created by an Israeli strategic withdrawl.

They are going to bring in rockets and whatnot to lob toward Israel. When they do, and they will, Israel will react with a fury, and it won't be troops cleaning out Jenin. It will be airstrikes and artillery. If Israel does not counterstrike with overwhelming force, they are finished.

The only thing that the Paleos and the other terrorist outfits respect is overwhelming force. The Paleos have short memories. They seemed to have forgotten Yassin and his ilk and the Hellfires of Doom.
