#3 The Russians are not going to stop until they have a defensible border. Something like the Dnieper River. After getting burned on Minsk II, which Merkel admitted was a scheme to buy time, the Russians will want something sturdier than paper.

Russians can not be trusted with any agreement. Witness Budapest Agreement whee Russia guarantees Ukraine's territorial integrity in exchange for Ukraine disarming nukes and returning or destroying their ICBMs, IRBMs and strategic bombers.
