Arabia
Moussaoui calls Saudi princes patrons of al-Qaida
[TIMESOFINDIA.INDIATIMES] In highly unusual testimony inside the federal supermax prison, a former operative for al-Qaeda has described prominent members of Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
's royal family as major donors to the terrorist network in the late 1990s and claimed that he discussed a plan to shoot down Air Force One with a Stinger missile with a staff member at the Saudi Embassy in Washington.

The Qaeda member, Zacarias Moussaoui, wrote last year to Judge George B Daniels of United States district court for the Southern District of New York, who is presiding over a lawsuit filed against Saudi Arabia by relatives of those killed in the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. He said he wanted to testify in the case, and after lengthy negotiations with Justice Department officials and the federal Bureau of Prisons, a team of lawyers was permitted to enter the prison and question him for two days last October.

In a statement Monday night, the Saudi Embassy said that the national September 11 commission had rejected allegations that the Saudi government or Saudi officials had funded al-Qaeda.

"Moussaoui is a deranged criminal whose own lawyers presented evidence that he was mentally incompetent," the statement said. "His words have no credibility."

Moussaoui received a diagnosis of mental illness by a psychologist who testified on his behalf, but he was found competent to stand trial on terrorism charges. He was sentenced to life in prison in 2006 and is held in the most secure prison in the federal system, in Florence, Colo. Moussaoui's accusations could not be verified.

The allegations from Moussaoui come at a sensitive time in Saudi-American relations, less than two weeks after the death of the country's longtime monarch, King Abdullah, and the succession of a half-brother, King Salman
...either the largest species of Pacific salmon or the current Sheikh of the Burnin' Sands, Cutodian of the Two Holy Mosquesand Lord of Most of the Arabians....
There has often been tension between Saudi leaders and the B.O. regime since the Arab uprisings of 2011 and the efforts to manage the region's resulting turmoil. Moussaoui describes meeting in Saudi Arabia with Salman, then the crown prince, and other Saudi royals while delivering them letters from the late Osama bin Laden
... who is now neither a strong horse nor a weak horse, but a dead horse...
There has long been evidence that wealthy Saudis provided support for bin Laden, the son of a Saudi construction magnate, and Al Qaeda before the 2001 attacks. Saudi Arabia had worked closely with the United States to finance Islamic faceless myrmidons fighting the Soviet Army in Afghanistan in the 1980s, and al-Qaeda drew its members from those turban fighters.

Bangladesh
Pakistani diplomat asked to leave Bangladesh
[NATION.PK] A Pak High Commission official based in Dhaka was today declared persona non grata by the Bangladeshi government.

According to sources, Mazhar Khan was charged of running an illegal Indian currency business in Dhaka beside alleged links with murderous Moslems. Foreign Office Spokesperson Tasneem Aslam also confirmed the incident. According to her, allegations against Khan are baseless. The Pakistain High Commission in Dhaka sent Mazhar Khan home after getting orders. Also, relations between the two countries have not been encouraging recently.

Britain
Anti-Semitic Incidents in 2014 at Record Levels in Britain
The Community Security Trust, a Jewish security charity which runs an incident hotline, recorded 1,168 antisemitic incidents against Britain's 291,000 Jews in 2014, against 535 in 2013 and 25% up on the previous record in 2009.

Theresa May, the home secretary, described the figures as "deeply concerning" and "a warning to everyone to do more to stop antisemitism in Britain", while Yvette Cooper, the shadow home secretary, said they were "appalling".

The Association of Chief Police Officers revealed the figures were consistent with an increase in antisemitic crimes reported in recent weeks following last month's terror attacks in Paris when four shoppers were killed by an Islamist attacker at a kosher supermarket.
Both Theresa May and Yvette Cooper are Platinum status members of the "Islam is Peaceful" club.

#2  So 1/4 of the Jews have left France, anti-Semitic attacks are up in England and what has changed in both countries over the last 25 tears? Oh Islam moved in, that right. We are reliving history, but with a different fascist model, but fascist all the same. And yet again, as seen in France, the jews are running away and leaving those that cant leave to suffer the attacks. Don't get me wrong, I'm not blaming the victim here, but fight back and don't run away. Under Hitler, those that had the foresight, connections and funding ran, those without went to the gulags. It would be nice if Israel would send in the Mossad to work this problem.

#4  Don't get me wrong, I'm not blaming the victim here, but fight back and don't run away.

Why? If the 63 million citizens of France cannot be bothered to bestir themselves to clean out those who prey on them as much as on the 500,000 Jewish citizens of France, why should less than 1% of the population fix the problem for them? Ponder the thought that considerably more non-Jewish Frenchmen have thrown up their hands and left the country, mostly to England, Canada, and the US. Ostensibly they left for economic reasons, but the Muslim yoots have preyed on the generality of unbelievers as much as Muslim and some native French citizens have preyed on the Jews in their midst.

As for Mossad, they have a country of their own to defend, and limited resources.

UK: Latest report damns Rotherham council for 'misplaced political correctness'
[Telegraph] --- Misplaced political correctness by Rotherham'€™s Labour led council combined with a staggering culture of denial allowed more than 1,400 vulnerable girls to be routinely abused by gangs of Asian men, a withering report has concluded.

  • Children as young as nine were groomed, trafficked and raped by members of the town'€™s Pakistani community, but a desperation to avoid being labelled as racist, meant councillors turned a blind eye to the appalling abuse for 16-years.

  • Yesterday a damning report, written by former Victims'€™ Commissioner, Louise Casey, laid bare the true extent of the council'€™s failings and accused those in charge of deliberately trying to cover up scandal and silence whistle-blowers.

  • Just minutes after the report'€™s findings were published the entire Labour Cabinet of Rotherham Council resigned and Communities Secretary Eric Pickles announced he was sending in Government Commissioners to run things until new elections could be held next year.

  • Ms Casey praised the bravery of whistle-blowers in exposing the truth about the scandal but accused council officials of failing to listen to them.

  • The report said that the council went to '€œconsiderable lengths'€ to cover up information adding: '€œIt has created an unhealthy climate where people fear to speak out'€.

  • In a statement to the Commons, Mr Pickles said: '€œSome councillors have not lived up to the high standards expected of those in public life or their positions of responsibility.'€

    Europe
Dieudonné goes on trial for defending terrorism
[FRANCE24] Controversial French comedian Dieudonné told a court on Wednesday that he condemns “without ambiguity” last month’s shootings in Paris as he went on trial for comments he made that appeared to express solidarity with one of the gunmen.

Dieudonné M'bala M'bala was arrested on January 14 after he posted a comment on Facebook saying, “I feel like Charlie Coulibaly.”

The post, which has since been taken down, merges the slogan “Je suis Charlie” (I am Charlie) – which became a global rallying cry against extremism following the January 7 attack on the offices of Charlie Hebdo – and the name of Amedy Coulibaly, the gunman who killed four people at a kosher supermarket days later.

Dieudonné's arrest was one of dozens of cases opened for "condoning terrorism" or "making threats to carry out terrorist acts" in the wake of the attacks, which left a total of 17 people dead in three days of terror.

"Of course I condemn the attacks, without any restraint and without any ambiguity," Dieudonné, 48, told a court in Paris.

The comedian is a controversial figure who has often made headlines, most notably with his trademark "quenelle" hand gesture that looks like an inverted Nazi salute but which he insists is merely anti-establishment.

Branded a "peddler of hate" by the government, Dieudonné has also attracted anger over sketches widely viewed as anti-Semitic that have occasionally prompted local authorities to ban his shows. He already has multiple convictions for hate speech to his name.

But his arrest – and those of several others, some of whom were sent to jail for between one and four years – has raised new questions about free speech in France.

Dieudonné told the court that he had wanted to take part in a mammoth march against extremism in Paris on January 11, but decided against it as he felt unwelcome, instead attending a smaller demonstration near his home in northern France.

"I feel treated like a terrorist," he said.

Dieudonné faces up to seven years in prison and a €100,000 ($114,000) fine if found guilty.

Dems give Israeli ambassador earful over Netanyahu speech
[Ynet] At least seven Jewish Democrats lambasted Israeli Ambassador Dermer over Netanyahu's scheduled Congress speech: 'Israel should never be used as a political football.'

Israel's ambassador to the United States has gotten an earful from a half-dozen House Democrats angered by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's acceptance of a Republican invitation to address Congress next month.

Ron Dermer met privately with seven Jewish Democrats on Wednesday to discuss Netanyahu's plans for a March 3 speech on Iran, and some of the politicians urged the prime minister to postpone the speech or hold it somewhere other than Congress, participants said. They told Dermer that Netanyahu was unwise to accept a Republican invitation that bypassed President Barack Obama

This intense training course makes US Marine scout snipers the deadliest shots on earth
The Marine Scout Sniper school is the most elite military sniper school on earth. It is also one of the toughest special operations courses in the US Military.

Not only do the Army, Navy, and the Air Force send troops here, but foreign services like the Israelis and the British also trade students for the opportunity to earn the Marine Sniper designation.

One of the profiled students in this Discovery video was attached to the unit Business Insider also covered in Afghanistan in 2012. Not only did he supply the company with absurdly accurate intelligence on the enemy. He also took a couple of them out when the unit needed it most.

Those are the two primary missions of Marine Scout Snipers: Recon and targeted strikes on enemy personnel and equipment. They can be more devastating for enemy forces than a plane full of bombs.

Taqiyya? State Dept. admits lying about meeting with Muslim Brotherhood
So with that in mind, Jen PTUI Psaki, State Department spokeswoman, originally claimed the meeting had been organized and funded by Georgetown University. However the university said that wasn’t the case when contacted by the Washington Free Beacon.

In a conference with reporters on Monday, PTUI Psaki said, “Unfortunately, I didn’t have the accurate information on one small piece. The meeting was set up by the Center for the Study of Islam and Democracy, a nonprofit. So the visit was not funded, as you know, by us or the U.S. Government, but it was also not funded by Georgetown.”

... aka Taliban Khan, who who convinced himself that playing cricket qualified him to lead a nuclear-armed nation with severe personality problems...
today criticized Pakistain Moslem League-Nawaz for its incompetence, saying that the ruling party couldn't even rig the elections properly.

Addressing a presser in Islamabad, Khan said that he previously considered Pakistain Peoples Party as the most incompetent political party in the country.

PTI chief said the audit report in NA-122 is enough to remove Ayaz Sadiq as speaker of the National Assembly. Regarding the report in NA-118, he said that out of 170,000 votes, 119,000 votes were bogus.

Shikarpur becomes hub for transportation of terrorists: Nisar
[NATION.PK] Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan has said that hundreds of murderous Moslems have been jugged
You have the right to remain silent...
in about five hundred intelligence-based operations, across the country.

Speaking in the National Assembly today, he said that improved coordination amongst the Federal and Provincial governments, and security agencies have helped thwart many terrorist attacks.

He said the entire nation and the politicianship should stand united, to weed out the menace of terrorism from the country once and for all. He said no politics should be done on the issue of national security, as one of the objectives of the murderous Moslems is to divide the nation, besides creating an environment of fear in the country.

Ch. Nisar Ali Khan said the Federal government is fully cooperating with Provincial governments; timely intelligence is being shared with them with regards to any imminent terror threat. He said, the war against terrorism is not an easy one and it might require years to eliminate the menace. He, however, vowed that the war against these cowardly elements will continue till the elimination of last terrorist.

The Minister said the military operation is continuing against the murderous Moslems and they might resort to backlash. Their targets are soft and easy, but we are trying to strengthen our mechanism to foil their nefarious designs.

Taking the House into confidence on the investigations into Shikarpur tragedy, Ch. Nisar Ali Khan said one terrorist used five to nine kg of kaboom in the suicide kaboom, which resulted into the loss of 62 precious lives and injured 53 others. He said only one critically damaged finger of the terrorist has been found which is lying with NADRA for verification.

He regretted there is a sectarian rife in Shikarpur but this area has also emerged a hub for transportation of murderous Moslems to other areas. The security forces are keeping an eye on the area and enhanced its monitoring in the wake of Shikarpur tragedy.

Leader of the Opposition, Syed Khurshid Ahmad Shah said that the opposition will continue to extend all possible support to the government on the issue of national security.

UAE pulled out of IS fight after pilot capture.
[Sri Lanka Times] WASHINGTON, Feb 4, 2015 - The United Arab Emirates (UAE) pulled out of the air campaign fighting Islamic State (IS) militants after the capture of a Jordanian pilot who has since been killed by the extremists, the New York Times (NYT) reported Wednesday.

The pilot was captured in December and IS militants released a video Tuesday showing the man in a cage being burned alive.
The key US ally in the campaign suspended airstrikes in December after the capture, fearing for the fate of its pilots, the Times said, quoting US officials.

The UAE want the US to improve its search-and-rescue efforts, including the use of V-22 Osprey tilt-rotor aircraft, in northern Iraq, closer to the battleground.
V-22 Search and Rescue (SAR), who knew ?
As it stands, the US-led mission is based in Kuwait, administration officials said, according to the Times.
So the ISIS strategy of slaying pilots achieves the goal of fracturing the coalition.

    Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Fake selfie shows cops chasing Arab-Israeli rapper
[IsraelTimes] Paleostinian hip hop artist posts staged photo of himself being pursued by band members dressed as police

A photograph that appears to have been taken by Arab-Israeli rapper Tamer Nafar of himself running down the street with two Israeli border coppers -- one of whom is brandishing a gun -- in hot pursuit has gained popularity as one of the best 'selfies' ever taken.

    Too bad it's a fake.

The picture was posted to the Twitter feed of Lod-based rap group DAM at midday on Monday and 24 hours later had scored nearly 15,000 retweets and over 7,500 "favorites" as other users shared the image around the Internet.

In the photo, wide-eyed and wide-mouthed Nafar seems to have snapped the moment by holding up a rearward pointing camera above his head to capture the "coppers," dressed in the uniforms of Israel's border police as they come after him.

Nafar titled the shot "A selfie while the Israeli military running after me." [sic] without offering any further explanation.

    However,
some men learn by reading. A few learn by observation. The rest have to pee on the electric fence for themselves...
the Buzzfeed news media website reported on Tuesday that an unnamed source close to DAM had admitted the photo was staged.

The cops are in fact fellow band members Suhell Nafar and Mahmoud Jreri.

On its website, DAM -- short for Da Arabian MCs -- claims to be the first Paleostinian hip hop crew, formed in the late 1990s after being inspired by the "uncanny resemblance of the reality of the streets" in their home neighborhood of Lod, near Tel Aviv, and scenes in a music video from American rapper Tupac Shakur.

As for the Nafar's selfie, it is perhaps further proof that when it comes to photographs, seeing is no longer believing.

Jordan's Special Forces are some of the best in the Middle East
There are already unconfirmed reports that Jordan has carried out airstrikes against ISIS in Mosul. Beyond airstrikes, Jordan could further contribute to the fight against ISIS through the use of their extremely effective Special Forces units.

Jordan's Special Forces, grouped under Jordan's own Joint Special Operations Command, is 14,000 strong and is one of the most effective fighting and intelligence forces in the region. Jordanian Special Forces frequently train alongside US forces.

#1  The Jordanian Intelligence establishment is one of the best.

They have to be to survive in the ME as one of the few pro American/pro Western regimes in the region.

Methinks ISIS is going to have hell to pay for their grisly execution of the pilot.

#2  The Jordanian Intelligence establishment is one of the best.

They've to be: 80% of the population are, second-class, "Palestinians" who hate their Bedouin Masters (Hashemites & allied tribes transported from Hejaz by Brits in 1920) more than they hate Israel.

As for being pro-Western---Jordan is a toy kingdom who wouldn't last for 5 minutes without British, and later American, patronage.

#4  I will wait to decide on this question till I see them in battle. Overall Jordanian military performance based on the 1970s (the last time they fought) is better than other Arab armies but not by much. Jordanian military performance has declined since the British left in 1956.

#6  I've spent time in Amman, Aqaba and, more importantly, the territory in between. I also have friends who are actively engaged in training there now, and over the past half decade. This is both contract and military liaison missions. I disagree with the skeptical and incorrect assessment expressed above about capability of Jordanian units, at least those I have seen or have heard about by people I know and trust.

Hundreds in Ramallah rally in solidarity with Jordan against ISIS
[MAANNEWS.NET] Hundreds of Paleostinians took part in a sit-in in solidarity with the Jordanian people after video emerged Tuesday of the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
    group executing a Jordanian hostage.

The rally in front of the Jordanian Representative Office in Ramallah came in response to the slaying of Maaz al-Kassasbeh, which has provoked outrage against ISIS in Jordan, Paleostine, and across the Arab world.

Members of the central and executive committees of the Paleostine Liberation Organization and the Paleostinian parliament, as well as representatives of Fatah, the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Paleostine
... a breakaway faction of the Pöpular Frönt för the Liberation of Paleostine. The are regarded as the most intellectual of Paleostinian fedayeen groups, smoking cheap cigarettes and drawing heavily on Marxist-Leninist theory to explain their crappy lives. They can occasionally be seen strutting through the streets of Paleostine, dressed up like soldiers and lugging firearms, though they seldom manage to hit anything and then usually by accident. This may be because of their habit of wearing black masks that cut off most of their vision. That would also explain their habit of occasionally walking into walls, which is a well-known attribute of those immersed in true understanding of the dialectic...
, and civil institutions and universities took part in the sit-in, where condolences were presented to the Hashemite Kingdom's representative in Paleostine.

Jordan's ambassador to Paleostine Khalid al-Shawabkeh addressed the crowd, saying: "Jordan, its King, its government, and its people will always stand against terrorism."

Al-Shawabkeh said that the killing of al-Kassasbeh would not stop Jordanian leadership from continuing to fight terrorism.

The ambassador also expressed gratitude to the Paleostinian people and Paleostinian leadership for showing solidarity with the Jordanian people.

The two main Paleostinian political parties Fatah and Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, have both condemned the killing of al-Kassasbeh.

800 Kurdish Peshmergas killed in anti-ISIS war: Barzani
    [ARA] Massoud Barzani
... hereditary head of the Kurdish Democratic Party, maybe a little too close to the Medes and the Persians for most people's tastes...
, President of Kurdistan Region of Iraq, said Wednesday that the loss of the Kurdish Peshmerga forces during battles against the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. group (IS/ISIS) amounted to 800 casualties, including 300 officers.

"We have pushed the snuffies back, and liberated about 17,000 square kilometers which was under their control," Barzani said.

Barzani told news hounds in Erbil that among the dead Peshmergas were hundreds of officers.

"We admit that the price of liberation is so high, but it must be paid for the defense and existence of a whole nation and its dignity."

The Kurdistan Region's President explained that the region has experienced a very serious threat, pointing out that the myrmidons' losses were not less than 3000 dead.

"Baghdad and other parties informed the western powers of their full readiness to fight the IS criminals until the end. There is a need for further military support from our Western allies to continue the anti-IS war," President Barzani said.

"We will not allow this radical group to commit more violations against civilians. We will not forgive those who slaughtered innocent people and captivated Yezidi women," Barzani added. "We will not forgive those who participated and helped these monsters to conduct such horrific crimes."

He praised the sacrifices of the people of Kurdistan, at all levels, and said that the battle began at a time Maliki's government (the former Iraqi P.M.) cut off the salaries of the Region's people.

The Kurdish activist Arif Temir told ARA News that the Kurdish Peshmerga forces proved to the international community and regional powers that they were the only force that pushed the radical group back in the cities and areas of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, in addition to its participation in retaking the Syrian Kurdish city of Kobane.

Former CIA official paints a bleak picture of the war against ISIS
"Unless the coalition is willing to put more ground troops into Iraq, and possibly into Syria, there is very little we can do to respond," Morell, the former second in command at the CIA, said. "I think it would take 100,000 [troops to destroy ISIS] and that will simply does not exist here and it doesn't exist in the other coalition countries."

Burning alive of Jordanian pilot un-Islamic: Cleric
[NATION.PK] Moslem holy mans widely condemned the burning to death of a Jordanian pilot by Islamic State

, saying such a form of killing was considered despicable by Islam, no matter the context.

Islamic State snuffies released a video on Tuesday appearing to show captured pilot Mouath al-Kasaesbeh being burnt alive in a cage. Jordan, which has participated in a U.S.-led military campaign to bomb Islamic State positions, responded overnight by executing two al Qaeda convicts on death row.
