National Security Crisis After Biden Lets CCP Build Near North Dakota Military Base
[Republic Brief] Concerns in Grand Forks, North Dakota, over a Chinese Communist Party-linked agribusiness are mounting with their plans to build a corn mill that is feared to pose national security risks for the country because of the company’s planned proximity to a top military base in the state.

Fufeng USA, a global bio-fermentation company, plans to use the corn mill facility to extract ingredients that go into animal nutrition feed products sold in the North American market.

While some local politicals see jobs and money for the local population, a few US lawmakers are growing very uneasy about bigger problems, like the potential access China would get to America’s military secrets while in the location.

"It’s 370 acres near Grand Forks, North Dakota, which is in the heart of the Red River Valley. In other words, it’s very productive farmland. Also importantly, it’s about 12 miles from Grand Forks Air Force Base, which is a very sophisticated Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) base. They fly Global Hawks.

We just put in a new ground station for the first tranche of satellites by the Space Development Agency. So it’s a vital uplink downlink data center at the Grand Forks Air Force Base.

Proximity both to the important farmland and to an important airbase make this particularly problematic," US Senator for North Dakota Kevin Cramer said in a statement from his office.

"I’m more broadly concerned by the fact that China can come in and continually make investments and buy property, enter into our food supply chain right here in the United States. Remember, during the pandemic, it was discovered that China’s ownership of meat processing in the United States made our meat supply vulnerable.

-Great Cultural Revolution
The Specter of White Genocide, Part 1
[USSA News] It’s a slow building spectacle. The momentum is momentous as gravity gives it gravitas. The snowball is snowballing as it careens downhill to bury Whites. There are just the sounds of silence as we remain silent about our fate. White America stands on the cusp of oblivion, of annihilation in the plain literal sense. It’s not hyperbole to state that the White race is racing towards extinction — not just demographic conquest and dispossession; not just humiliation, discrimination. and civil rights abuses, but EXTINCTION with the likelihood of attendant violence. We’ve been oblivious to oblivion, but hopefully, the instinct of self-preservation will kick in, in time to turn the tide, to stop the careen into the abyss. We have to recognize this reality and not retreat from it. The starting point and time to end this mindless madness must be now because it is mere minutes to Midnight before the permanent night of extinction ensues. We have to work backwards up a difficult slope from where we presently are or we will slide further downhill as the West further devolves.

Once immigration began, a transformation of the basically White world of the US to the Third World in 1965 ensured. That meant the end of the so-called "melting pot" in which hitherto various European ethnicities could meld together rather seamlessly and assimilate into an altogether different White reality represented by the bounty and boundless boundary/frontier testing spirit of America. Instead, there could now be only an inevitable meltdown as the new totally foreign elements added an untenable type of diversity in which the ingredients cannot mesh together into an edible stew. This new recipe led to a cheesy imitation of the America designed by the founders that flounders along without the necessary moral compass of a common religious or cultural base to keep it on track. As the foreign elements increased as a percentage of the overall stew, the founding stock was increasingly charged as having egg on its face by the race hustlers as they unfairly "eggzaturated" and mischaracterized alleged past misdeeds of the native White stock. Every defect, deficiency, or even duplicity of the newcomers and the never-to-be-satisfied — and never acculturated Blacks — could be palmed off or blamed on non-existent "white privilege" or the nearly non-existent "white supremacism," a figment of the imagination of fervid and fevered minds. Once the foreigners achieved sufficient clout and cred, assimilation could be thrown under the bus by the leftists who were now in the driver’s seat in their drive for "diversity". Senseless equality of outcomes was the natural outcome of trying to satisfy all foreign comers and non-white up-and-comers regardless of their native capabilities and IQs.

#1  UK INTELLIGENCE OVERTHREW THE ELECTED GOV'T OF THE USA

First attempt was the UK aka Steele Russiagate Doc

Steele is an MI-6 Intelligence Officer

Second attempt was Smartmatic-Dominion on Election Night

UK INTELLIGENCE QUARTERBACKED THE OVERTHROW

MI-6 Created the Russia Gate Doc working closely with the FBI, DOJ, CIA & State Dept

Mitch McConnell working with Sen's McCain & Graham approved and provided cover for the operation

They guaranteed no resistance from Republicans and ZERO prosecutions for the overthrow implementers at the DOJ, FBI, CIA and State Dept.

Barr admitted he reported directly to McConnell, and investigated and prosecuted no one. While lying to Trump non stop. Durham and Barr have committed obstruction of Justice, insurrection and treason

Roberts controls the FISA Court and provided hundreds if not thousands of wire tap, surveillance and silent search warrants against every Trump relative, friend, key employee and business associate.

The Republican Senate wanted first Hilary then Biden for President

UK INTELLIGENCE CONTROLS THE DOMINION ELECTION FRAUD MACHINES

MI-6 controls the Smartmatic fraud software used to overthrow the elected US gov't in 2020

Smartmatic-Dominion put Biden over the top in 2020, to the cheers of 90 Senators, the Supreme Court and many corrupt State Govts.

That insult did go slightly awry... Wikipedia:

Murciélago was a Navarra fighting bull, who gained fame after Lamborghini chose to name a supercar after him, to continue the passion for bullfighting Ferruccio Lamborghini, the company's founder, was famous for. According to the PR-specialists, the bull survived 90 sword strokes in an October 5, 1879 fight against Rafael "El Lagartijo" Molina Sanchez, at the Coso de los califas bullring in Córdoba, Spain. Its name means bat in Spanish. It is said that Murciélago fought with such passion and spirit that the crowd called for his life to be spared, an honour which the torero bestowed. The bull, which came from the farm of Joaquin del Val de Navarra, was later presented as a gift to Don Antonio Miura. Together with his brother, Don Eduardo Miura, they brought Murciélago into the Miura line by siring him with 70 cows. Bulls from the Miura ranch, located near Seville, Spain, are known for being large and ferocious.

Quite the opposite of pendejo, queerly enough.

Ten British paedophiles were deported from Poland after travelling to the country under the pretence of helping refugees following Russia's invasion of Ukraine
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] The Brits have a long history of sending their men abroad to sow their wild oats.
  • British sex offenders went to refugee-laden Poland in the early weeks of war

  • Ten convicted paedophiles travelled east in the first six weeks as 'volunteers'

  • As many as 5,000 unaccompanied children displaced in first weeks of conflict
All ten were interviewed by Polish authorities and removed from the country, said an NCA spokesman, adding: 'We have an international network that identifies these threats... we contact our partners and say you have a convicted sex offender on your patch.'

Now two thirds of Ukraine's children have been driven from their homes, according to UNICEF, with 200,000 forced into Russia where some are being put up for adoption.

-Lurid Crime Tales-
NYPD seizes 182 guns in massive Queens smuggling bust
[NYP] NYPD cops busted five men and seized 182 handguns in an illegal gun-trafficking ring that ran weapons from Tennessee to sell on the streets of Queens, officials said Thursday.

The men exploited the lax gun laws in Tennessee and used the infamous "gun show loophole" to funnel the weapons through the so-called Iron Pipeline into New York, Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz said at a news conference.

The members of the ring were hit with a 1,611-count indictment with charges including criminal sale of a weapon and criminal possession of a weapon in an investigation cops nicknamed "Operation Hot Cakes," Katz said.

"Illegal gun traffickers who flood our neighborhoods with dangerous firearms put every resident of our borough at grave risk," the DA said in a statement. "We have seen far too many instances of guns, purchased down South and trafficked into New York that are then recovered at devastating crime scenes, leaving bloodshed and tragedy on our streets."

#2  The have it backwards. Nobody in Tennessee is pushing guns to New York. What is happening is people who do not see a need to obey firearms laws in New York are creating a demand.
Posted by: M. Murcek || 07/22/2022 7:31 Comments || Top||

#3  The "gun show loophole" is irrelevant. The scam could have also been supplied by legal gun purchases at gun shops. The sales and purchases in NYC were illegal and most purchasers & sellers are being charged - minus the stoolies, Feds and well connected folks.
A person in NYC could get on a bus to anywhere and legally purchased a gun if they wanted. These purchasers paid 2 times the value of the guns because they were not legal purchasers or they wanted a gun with no paper trail so it could be used illicitly - likely both. The guns were sold in NYC because there are a lot of criminals there with many potential unarmed victims.

Jim Cramer offers his favorite stock picks for 3 possible recession scenarios
[CNBC] CNBC’s Jim Cramer on Thursday gave investors his top stock picks for three different recession outcomes.

"We’ve got mild, we’ve got moderate and we’ve got severe. ... . Can we avoid a recession altogether? There’s always the chance," but investors shouldn’t hold their breath, he said.

Investors have piled into tech stocks this week, betting on a market bottom and driving this week’s rally. All the major averages gained on Thursday.

The "Mad Money" host said that while he’s outlining three possible scenarios for the economy and his favorite stocks for each, investors shouldn’t build their portfolios by betting on just one outcome. "You need something for every possibility," he said.

Here are his top stock picks for a possible mild, moderate or severe recession.

Senate Democrats introduce bill to federally decriminalize and tax marijuana after Biden said no one should go to jail for using cannabis
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • Biden proclaimed at a July 16 press briefing: 'I don't think anyone should be in prison for the use of marijuana. We're working on the crime bill now'

  • Sens. Ron Wyden, D-Ore., and Schumer first proposed a pot bill over a year ago but did not release text until Thursday

  • The bill expunges federal cannabis-related records and sets up funding for law enforcement to fight illegal cannabis production

  • It would require the DOT to research and develop a standard for marijuana-impaired driving and restrict marketing the drug to minors
The legislation, called the Cannabis Administration and Opportunity Act, has a slim chance of passing the Senate, but portions of the bill could find their way into other packages that have a shot at passing before the end of the year.

The Senate Judiciary Committee has set up a hearing titled: 'Decriminalizing Cannabis at the Federal Level: Necessary Steps to Address Past Harms' for next week.

The legislation includes priorities sought by Democrats and Republicans: it expunges federal cannabis-related records and sets up funding for law enforcement to fight illegal cannabis production.

#3  Getting the license and coming up with the scratch for an initial investment to open and maintain a legal pot shop is a bit of a stretch for many of the folks who would be inclined to sell the stuff for a living. In California, the legislature actually passed a bill to allocate several million dollars to help these people with their paper work because the state wasn't seeing as much tax revenue as they expected. Maybe you could call that an investment but I don't how if there has yet been any return on it. But then, I'm sure Brandon would have no qualms about signing such a bill at the federal level.

No wonder Omineling Forkbeard1962 is setting fire to straw men. That’s almost as misinforming as reading the New York Times.

Utter idiocy. There is no need for a law legalizing contraceptives nationwide when they are already legal nationally due to longstanding FDA approval. Now if you are talking about chemical abortifacients, that is a question to be decided by the various states; but those only are useful if the perfectly legal contraceptives and condoms failed to work or were not used. But I just read that on university campuses around the country girls are lining up to get IUDs so that they needn’t take the risk of being unprepared when the moment comes.

In which case the original texts would be found on the new phones.

Ford to Ax Up to 8,000 American Jobs in Order to Fund Electric Vehicle Production
[Bloomberg via Western Journal] The Ford Motor Co. is expected to slash 8,000 jobs in the coming weeks to help fund its push into the electric-vehicle market, Bloomberg News reported Wednesday.

Workers in the Ford Blue unit tasked with manufacturing internal combustion engine vehicles and employees working for the company’s other departments could lose their jobs under the to-be-finalized layoff plan, according to the report, which cited "people familiar with the plan."

If finalized, the layoffs are expected to occur in stages, starting this summer, Bloomberg reported. It said most of the job cuts are expected to occur among the company’s 31,000-strong U.S. workforce.

According to Bloomberg, the layoffs would help fund the company’s electronic vehicle expansion by cutting costs and increasing profitability.

The company has announced several significant steps toward that end in recent months.

Then when the EV nocturnal emission flounders, as it eventually will, the business decision to cut US jobs is still a win.

QUICK QUESTION:
Where is all this extra required Electricity Coming from?

Maybe the shutdown Fossil Fuel (COAL) powered Power plants? Because Nukes take years just to get Earth Hugger approval, then 7 to 10 years to build. Solar Power Panels? Also think amount the rare earth materials needed and the massive amount of needed to extract, produce and install. All Energy not available.

'Deep-Staters' Demanding Missouri CCW Holder's Info; Sheriff and AG Will 'Go Down With Ship'
[Western Journal] Officials in the state of Missouri have publicly refused to obey the FBI’s demands that they hand over the personal information of the state’s concealed carry weapons permit holders, saying the agency is attempting "to illegally obtain" the information.

Scotland County Sheriff Bryan Whitney, for one, is adamant that the FBI is trying to assemble an illegal gun registry of Missouri citizens.

"As the sheriff of Scotland County, I want all my citizens to know that I will not allow, cooperate or release any CCW information to the FBI, ’even at the threat of a federal arrest," Whitney, a Republican, told his constituents in a letter released on Monday, Fox News reported.

"Point Blank, I will go down with the ship if need be," Whitney added in his letter.

Whitney told his constituents that the FBI had alerted Missouri’s 24 county sheriffs that it intended to launch an audit of Missouri CCW holders starting in August.

Biden admin says climate change can ‘force' military intervention
[American Military News] On Tuesday, President Joe Biden’s administration said climate change can "force" military invention after once again calling it a "national security issue."

John Kirby, Coordinator for Strategic Communications at the National Security Council, said during a press conference that climate change is a "driver of actual missions" because it creates "instability" and "insecurity."

"It’s a driver of actual missions, because climate change creates instability, which creates insecurity in some places. And you can end up — the fighting in Syria started, really, as a result of a drought. And so, there’s — there’s a — it can actually drive military missions and force the military to become involved in places and at times where they wouldn’t have had to otherwise," Kirby said.

Kirby said climate change impacts the U.S. military’s readiness "because our — our troops, our sailors, our Marines, our airmen, our Coast Guardsmen are being called out for — to respond to natural disasters, which are getting worse because of climate change."

He also claimed that climate change can "affect our infrastructure," adding that military bases like Norfolk Naval Base have invested "millions of dollars to try to improve their infrastructure because of rising sea levels."

"So it has an impact on our infrastructure. It has an impact on our readiness, because you — and you’re seeing it now, even in the wildfires, where so many National Guardsmen are being called out," Kirby said. "And — and God love them for that, but they’re — those are important tasks and missions, but it takes away from other tasks and missions when it comes to defending the United States."

Kirby said President Biden believes climate change is a "very important issue for our own national security."

"And we’re going to — we’re going to treat it that way," he concluded.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
After 16 years, Israel arrests Fatah-linked terrorist for killing of IDF soldier
[IsraelTimes] Alam al-Ra’i, 42, held for firing at Israelis near Nablus in April; during probe Shin Bet finds he was part of cell that set off 2006 bomb that killed Staff Sgt. Osher Damari

The Shin Bet security agency revealed Thursday that it had arrested a Paleostinian member of the mostly dormant Tanzim terror group who was allegedly responsible for a 2006 kaboom that killed an Israeli soldier.

Alam al-Ra’i, 42, a resident of Nablus, was arrested for at least two shooting attacks at Israelis near Joseph’s Tomb on the outskirts of the West Bank city and in other areas nearby in April, the Shin Bet said.

During his interrogation, the Shin Bet found al-Ra’i was part of a cell that set off a bomb during a raid in Nablus on July 17, 2006, killing Staff Sgt. Osher Damari, 20, and wounding several other soldiers.

The Shin Bet said al-Ra’i was responsible for several more attacks against Israeli soldiers between 2005 and 2007, while part of the same Tanzim cell, and in later years committed dozens more shootings and explosive attacks, some of which maimed troops.

The April shooting attacks near Nablus were directed by a terror operative in the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
Strip, according to the Shin Bet. al-Ra’i received payment for working to recruit others and committing the attacks, the agency said.

An indictment against al-Ra’i, charging him with "numerous serious security offenses, with above all the murder of the soldier Osher Damari" was to be filed later Thursday, the Shin Bet said.

Tanzim, an armed militia founded in 1995 and loosely affiliated with the Paleostinian Authority’s ruling Fatah party, was a key player in violent mostly peaceful demonstrations at the start of the Second Intifada in 2000. Its leader then was Marwan Barghouti, who is serving five life terms in jail for orchestrating deadly terror attacks.

While the group has not been blamed for any major attacks in almost two decades, Israel said it arrested its leader in 2016.

International claims Israel’s Mossad spy agency captured a senior member of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards on Iranian territory, interrogated him and had him confess "to his role in sending weapons to other countries."

The channel’s report on Yadollah Khedmati cannot be verified and its sourcing is unclear.

#6  Skidmark’s Jerusalem Post link is full of juicy goodness from the same single source:

Video recorded from the interrogation and obtained by Iran International showed Khedmati confirming his role in the Logistics Wing of the IRGC and admitting that he had been in contact with Ali Asghar Nowrozi, an IRGC Quds Force official who has been identified by the IDF as responsible for transferring precision weapon components from Iran to Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Khedmati expressed regret for his operations sending weapons to Iranian proxies and asked his colleagues not to conduct such operations, according to the report. Khedmati is Nowrozi's deputy in the Logistics Wing. The IRGC official was reportedly released and allowed to return home safely after the interrogation.

The Iranian Student News Network (SNN) reported in June that a number of Iranians who had kidnapped and interrogated an unnamed IRGC official had been arrested.

Sources for Iran International stated that during the interrogation of Khedmati, information was obtained about Norozi's relationship with Fars Air Qeshm for transporting weapons.

In June, a Venezuelan cargo plane that had been purchased from the Iranian Mahan Air was detained in Argentina after Iranian citizens were found on the aircraft, including Gholamreza Ghasemi who has been linked in the past with the Quds Force’s Unit 190 and has been identified by the FBI as the CEO of Fars Air Qeshm.

The recent complaint that Mossad is running freely around Iran seems to be supported by all this. A worse nightmare even than the spy squirrels that were previously keeping the Mullahs up at night.

Israeli Supreme Court okays revoking citizenship of terrorists
[IsraelTimes] The Supreme Court
...the political football known as The Highest Court in the Land, home of penumbrae and emanations...
rules that the state can revoke the citizenship of those who carry out terror attacks and commit other actions that constitute breach of trust against the State of Israel.

The court rules that carrying out terror attacks, actions that constitute treason, severe espionage, or acquiring citizenship with the right for permanent residency in an enemy state would constitute this kind of breach of trust.

The ruling states that citizens who carry out such actions can have their citizenship revoked even if they have no other citizenship, but said that the interior minister would then be obligated to provide that person with a residency permit.

Right-wing politicians warmly welcome the ruling. Finance Minister Avigdor Liberman says that a situation in which citizens can "commit cruel acts of terrorism [and] hold Israeli citizenship is intolerable" and he praises the court for "ending this absurdity."

12 arrested in West Bank operation, violent clashes reported in Ramallah, Jenin
[IsraelTimes] No Israeli or Paleostinian casualties reported; IDF seizes vehicles used for ’domestic terrorism’; operation follows arrests of Jewish settlers trying to establish new outputs

Israeli security forces arrested 12 Paleostinian suspects throughout the West Bank overnight Thursday, with violent mostly peaceful confrontations reported in some areas.

As part of the arrest operation, Israeli troops entered the towns of Huwara, Salem, Bir Zayt, al-Yamun and Einabus among others to arrest individuals suspected of involvement in terrorist activity, the Israeli military said.

Paleostinian rioters confronted Israeli forces operating in Jenin and Ramallah, throwing Molotov cocktails and hurling rocks toward them.

Israeli forces responded by opening fire on the assailants.

In the village of al-Mughayyir in the northern West Bank Israeli troops seized illegal weapons. Two suspects who assaulted the troops during the operation were arrested.

In the nearby village of Deir Abu Mash’al, troops arrested two suspects and confiscated a vehicle "used for domestic terrorism," the military said.

No Israeli or Paleostinian casualties were reported in the operation.

Overall, 12 suspects were arrested and taken in for questioning.

Tensions in the West Bank have risen in recent days as thousands of right-wing Israeli activist muppets flocked Wednesday to various sites across the West Bank in an effort to establish six new illegal outposts in the territory.

Organized by the radical settler organization Nachala, the initiative is believed to have drawn some 10,000 individuals, although this figure could not be independently verified.

Five ultra-nationalist activist muppets were arrested late Wednesday and early Thursday.

On Sunday, Israeli troops clashed with Paleostinian button men during an early morning raid in the northern West Bank city of Tubas. It came following a brief pause in arrest operations in the West Bank, amid US President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. Being a self-defined foreign policy whiz kid means never having to say you're sorry...
’s two-day trip to the region. The US president departed from the country on Friday.

It was thought the IDF wished to avoid any major confrontation during the visit.

Tensions have remained high, as Israeli security forces stepped up operations in the West Bank following a deadly wave of terror attacks against Israelis that left 19 people dead earlier this year.

-Lurid Crime Tales-
Hunter Biden Probe Will End With ‘Very Sympathetic Plea Agreement,' Former Federal Prosecutor Predicts
[American Greatness] As the federal investigation into Hunter Biden and his tax affairs wraps up, the fix appears to be in, according to former federal prosecutor Jim Trusty.

Yesterday, it was widely reported that the investigation had reached a "critical stage," and Justice Department officials were looking into whether to charge Hunter with various tax violations, possible foreign lobbying violations and more.

Delaware U.S. Attorney David Weiss, a prosecutor appointed by former President Donald Trump, is conducting the investigation, which reportedly began in 2018.

Trusty—currently an attorney and Fox News legal analyst—told America’s Newsroom hosts Bill Hemmer and Sandra Smith that he was "skeptical" that anything other than a whitewash is in the works.

"It sounds like we’re trotting out a guilty plea, not an indictment," he said, going to explain that a plea deal would involve "very narrow facts" that "deflate" the case.

"It could deflate everything into a little silo for Hunter Biden, and a very sympathetic story about addiction," he said, adding that he had heard that there was "open fretting by prosecutors on the case" that "Hunter Biden’s drug addiction was somehow a defense to a bunch of white collar crimes."

Trusty told the Fox hosts why he thinks using Hunter’s drug addiction as a defense is not applicable.

"That can be a mitigator. It can be a defense when you have something involving spur-of-the-moment action, but for months and years of financial transactions, drug addiction is a non-starter," he explained. "If they’re floating it out there, it could mean we have a very sympathetic plea agreement coming in the near future," Trusty said.

The former prosecutor said it looks to him like the government is soft-peddling the corrupt foreign lobbying/influence peddling case, which implicates other members of the Biden family, including "the big guy," Joe Biden.

Senator Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), along with Sen. Charles Grassley (R-Iowa), issued a detailed report in September of 2020 on the Biden family’s shady influence peddling operations.

Johnson and Grassley alleged in their report that the Obama administration knew Hunter’s work for Ukrainian gas company Burisma Holdings prevented "the efficient execution of policy with respect to Ukraine" during Joe Biden’s tenure as vice president.

The report also revealed that Hunter Biden had business associations with Chinese nationals linked to the Communist government and People’s Liberation Army resulting in millions of dollars in questionable cash transactions. The Senate investigation also found links between Hunter Biden and Eastern European human trafficking, the adult entertainment industry, and/or prostitution.

"What you’re not hearing at all out of Delaware is the word "conspiracy," Trusty pointed out, adding that 80 to 90 percent of white collar cases involve a conspiracy charge, which he noted, "by definition means you’re looking outside a single person’s actions."

The former prosecutor said he was only reading "the tea leaves," but what he’s seeing is not promising.

"It’s not sounding like that [a conspiracy case] from the rumor mill, so far," he said. "So again, I think it looks like a very contained and friendly agreement coming on the horizon."

I too think Kamala is already measuring the drapes and Gavin was sent in to get a final look-over before the VP appointment sham gets set up. Remember, the House and Senate have to give a simple majority approval to the nominated VP under the 25th, and after the Installation of a Republican House in January of 2023, that gets problematic. So essentially there is a 6 month timeline for this to happen, and Jojo's delaying the departure really screws any such thing quite quickly. ‘Going to be buried’: Iran’s ambassador to Azerbaijan threatens Israeli envoy
A very strange little story, indeed. Diplomacy is usually more ...diplomatic.
[IsraelTimes] Tehran’s representative in Baku says ’evil Zionist’ crossed ’red line’ by reading history book about Iranian city

Iran’s ambassador to Azerbaijan threatened Israel’s envoy to the country on Wednesday, telling the Israeli he would be "buried" for reading a book.

Israel’s ambassador in Baku, George Deek, had posted a picture of himself on Twitter reading a book called "Mysterious Tales of Tabriz."

Tabriz is a city in Iran, near its border with Azerbaijan, and is the capital of Iran’s East Azerbaijan Province. The majority of the residents are Azerbaijani and their language is predominant.

"I’m learning so much about Azerbaijani history and culture in Tabriz in this great book I was recently presented," Deek said. Deek, a Christian Israeli-Arab from Jaffa, is a longtime diplomat and spokesperson for Israel overseas.

Iran’s ambassador to Azerbaijan, Seyed Abbas Mousavi, responded by posting a screenshot of Deek reading the book and threatening the Israeli envoy.

"For the information of this adventurous boy: Our beloved [Tabriz] is known as the land of FIRS
...the Internal Revenue Service; that office of the United States government that collects taxes and persecutes the regime's political enemies...
TS in [Iran’s] proud history," Mousavi said.

"Apparently, the FIRST Evil Zionist is going to be buried by the zealous people of Tabriz, too. Never cross our red-line, ever!" he wrote. Mousavi is also a former foreign spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry.

Joshua Zarka, the Foreign Ministry’s deputy director-general, responded to Mousavi, saying on Twitter, "Iran
...The nation is noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence...
threatens to kidnap Swedish citizens because of a terrorist put in jail, Iran’s Ambassabor to Azerbaijan threatens our’s for reading a book."

"This regime is bringing its country and people, including in Tabriz, to its worst level ever and triggers conflicts with everyone," Zarka said.

Iran and Azerbaijan are neighbors with long ties, but have clashed over Israel and other issues.

A secular, Moslem-majority state, Azerbaijan has long had warm relations with Jerusalem. Baku has bought billions of dollars of weapons from Israel and provided the Jewish state with oil.

Last year, Iran claimed Israel maintained a military presence in Azerbaijan, vowed to take action and staged military drills near its border with Azerbaijan, which denied the allegations.
No, no! Certainly not!
The two countries later smoothed over the standoff through dialogue.

Azerbaijan and Iran have also been at odds over Tehran’s backing of Armenia in the decades-long Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Armenia has accused Azerbaijan of deploying Israeli-made kamikaze drones in that conflict.

Tehran has long been wary of separatist sentiment among its ethnic Azerbaijani minority, who make up around 10 million of Iran’s 83 million population.

The ties between Israel and Azerbaijan date back to the break-up of the USSR in the early 1990s.

The two countries forged diplomatic and trade relations, as Israel sought to build bridges with Moslem countries and Azerbaijan was working to build new relationships beyond its traditional ties with Moscow.

Azerbaijan is home to a small Jewish community numbering in the thousands.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
IDF launches major engineering drive to strengthen defenses along West Bank barrier
And past time it is, too.
[IsraelTimes] Move to build trench across 20 kilometers in Judean Desert comes after several terror attacks committed by Paleostinians who slipped through fence earlier this year

The Israel Defense Forces on Thursday announced it had launched a major engineering operation to strengthen defenses along the security barrier with the West Bank, following several terror attacks earlier this year that were committed by Paleostinians who easily managed to cross the existing security fence.

The IDF said 60 engineering vehicles and three battalions, led by the commander of the military’s Combat Engineering Corps, Brig. Gen. Ido Mizrahi, were working to build a barrier in the Judean Desert area of the West Bank.

The plan included digging a deep trench over some 20 kilometers (12 miles) to prevent the passage of people and vehicles.

Five kilometers of the trench have already been dug and another seven-and-a-half kilometers have been prepared, in coordination with the Nature and Parks Authority and the Israel Antiquities Authority, the IDF said.

The military said in a statement that the work has already led to a "significant decrease in the number of illegal infiltrations into Israeli territory."

"Along with forces in the area, we are protecting an area that several months ago was totally open," said the engineering commander of the IDF’s Central Command, Col. Ido Journo. "I believe this plan will prevent the passage of [people for] terror attacks as well as criminal activity."

Last month, the Defense Ministry began to upgrade a section of the barrier in the northern West Bank, and in April, the IDF began to patch up holes in other areas of the fence.

The work began following a spate of deadly terror attacks between mid-March and the beginning of May, including several in which Lions of Islam from the northern West Bank entered Israel via large holes in the barrier.

On April 7, a Paleostinian gunman — who entered Israel through a gap in the barrier — rubbed out three people in Tel Aviv. A week earlier, a Paleostinian who also crossed through the barrier illegally — with a vehicle — shot and killed five people in Bnei Brak. And on May 5 in Elad, two Paleostinians who entered Israel illegally killed three people in an ax attack.

"The construction at the barrier is a clear example of the development of our capabilities. The project was established with the goal of reducing the number of illegal infiltrations into Israel. By working on the barrier, we thwart terrorist attacks," IDF Chief of Staff Aviv Kohavi said in remarks provided by the military.

"Our mission is that there will be zero terrorist attacks, and we will continue to operate as needed to stop this wave of terror and complete the mission," he said.

In recent years, thousands of Paleostinians had been entering Israel every day through the gaps in the fence for work.

But in recent months, the IDF has dispatched thousands of troops to the seam zone area — a swath of West Bank land on the Israeli side of the barrier — to prevent Paleostinians from crossing into Israel.

The West Bank security barrier was first proposed in the 1990s by then-prime minister Yitzhak Rabin, who saw it as a way to separate Israel from the Paleostinians. But the project never materialized due to internal opposition.

It was only during the Second Intifada, as Israel fought waves of suicide kabooms and other terrorist attacks emanating from the West Bank, that the idea was revived and kicked into high gear.

Many credit the barrier with helping end that uprising, which lasted from 2000 to 2005, though of its planned 708-kilometer (440-mile) route, only 62 percent has been completed.

The security barrier did not come without controversy, as the fence sparked local demonstrations and international condemnation over its route, snaking into the West Bank through seized Paleostinian fields and sometimes cutting off farmers from their land.

About 85% of the barrier runs within the West Bank, with the remaining 15% running along the Green Line — the pre-1967 ceasefire line that delineates Israel from the West Bank — and within Israeli territory. In total, the barrier is estimated to have cost the country some NIS 9 billion ($2.8 billion) according to the Knesset Research and Information Center.

For most of its route, the barrier consists of a chain-link fence equipped with surveillance cameras and other sensors, buffered by barbed wire and a 60-meter (200-foot) wide exclusion area. In more urban areas — including around Jerusalem and Bethlehem — the barrier is not a fence but an eight- to nine-meter (26- to 30-foot) high concrete wall.

-Lurid Crime Tales-
Man attempts, fails to stab Lee Zeldin, Republican nominee for New York governor
I really hope the attacker turns out to be nuts instead of some sort of Democrat or leftist coldly attempting to ensure the election by taking out the Republican candidate for governor, like the gentleman who shot up the Republican Congressional baseball practice a few years ago..
[IsraelTimes] US House Representative Lee Zeldin, the Republican candidate for New York governor, was assaulted by a man who apparently tried to stab him at an upstate event Thursday.

The congressman, a rare Jewish Republican in Congress, escaped serious injury.

"I’m OK," Zeldin said in a statement. "Fortunately, I was able to grab his wrist and stop him for a few moments until others tackled him."

Zeldin’s campaign said the attacker was taken into custody and the congressman continued his speech.

The attacker climbed onto a low stage where the congressman spoke to a crowd of dozens outside Rochester, flanked by bales of hay and American flags. A video posted on Twitter shows the two falling to the ground as other people try to intervene.

Among those who helped to subdue the attacker was Zeldin’s running mate, former New York Police Department Deputy Inspector Alison Esposito, said state GOP Chair Nick Langworthy.

Langworthy told The News Agency that Dare Not be Named that he didn’t have any details on the attacker or his weapon but exchanged text messages with Zeldin afterward while the congressman was speaking to police.

"He is fine. He’s not seriously injured. It’s just a chaotic scene there," Langworthy said. He said Zeldin had "just a little scrape" but it wasn’t what anyone would consider an injury.

Langworthy called on Hochul to issue a security detail for Zeldin to protect him on the campaign trail.

"This could have gone a lot worse. This could have really ended in a horrible way tonight and this is unacceptable," he said.

In a statement, Hochul condemned the attack and said she was "relieved to hear that Congressman Zeldin was not injured and that the suspect is in jug."

Zeldin, an Army Reserve lieutenant colonel who has represented eastern Long Island in Congress since 2015, is a staunch ally of former US president Donald Trump
...Perhaps no man has ever had as much fun being president of the US...
and was among the Republicans in Congress who voted against certifying the 2020 election results.

He has focused his campaign on fighting crime but faces an uphill battle against Hochul. He’ll need to persuade independent voters — which outnumber Republicans in the state — as well as Democrats in order to win the general election.

Democrats are expected to focus on Zeldin’s vocal defense of Trump during both of his impeachments and objection to the election results.

The NY Post has lots more about events at the VFW post campaign stop, including photos of the weapon — which looks like this, apparently popular as a defense against rapists — and a side view the unnamed miscreant, said to be an Iraq War veteran.
Update from CNBC at 2:30 a.m. EDT:
The attacker, identified by three senior law enforcement officials as David Jakubonis of Fairport, was subdued by members of the audience after he charged Zeldin, WHEC-TV reported.

That NBC affiliate reported that audience members disarmed the man, and put him in zip-ties that were pulled from campaign posters.

Why?

#2  Because we don't want either side to start assassinating the politicians on the other side. That's a very quick way to turn this into a kinetic civil war.

#3  Okay let's process this a bit? And mods, please 'smoky the bear' me whenever you deem fit. Don't wanna give Fred any trouble.

Your primary worry is that the republicans wouldn't win such an engagement, at this time, right? I understand that totally. But the reluctance to get dirty in conservatives is very counterproductive. I for one think as soon as the Right is back in, they should start dishing out the kinetic. Kashoggis and Epsteins left and right. None of this 'ye oldè constitution wilt save us eventually, it was written perfect' philosophy will help sustain the Republic in the long run. Your enemies are killers, inhuman, sadistic, worse than Nazis, insane Satan spawn. That is evident.

A Pakistani guy once told me an Urdu couplet about conflict. It said something like 'when the thug and the lawyer fight it out, only the thug will win'.

My worldview may be hopelessly flawed, but I think every society needs to take out the trash once in a while. It accumulates, see? And if you don't do it, the trash takes you out. Do unto others as soon as they can't do it back to you and all that.

#5  I'm not worried about the conservatives winning such a conflict, I am just hopefully that we haven't reached the cartridge box stage yet. And yes, they are evil. But I would much rather, given the signs of parents realizing how evil these twit are, take the culture back from them, such as we are with the schools, etc. If we can pull out of it without it going kinetic, good.

If not, war to the knife and we leave our enemies impaled from sea to shining sea along I-40 as a message of what happens to such evil. So if we can avoid it good, if not, I'd rather see it happen now than when my kids wind up having to fight this. I would much rather they deal with the aftermath of "All the lefties are dead" vs having to be the ones to do it.

#6  I share Dron66046 viewpoint, have for decades. The Trash has been allowed to accumulate to the point that kinetic response is unavoidable. Better to do it sooner rather than later.

#9  Whew — he was just drunk. From Heavy.com:

1. Jakubonis Is an Iraq War Veteran & the Man Who Subdued Him Wants to help Him, Reports Say

According to Rochester First, the suspect is “reportedly an Iraq War veteran under the influence of alcohol.” Authorities have not confirmed the information.

He was zip-tied on the scene, the site reported. AMVETS national Director Joe Chenelly stopped him, and Jakubonis was taken into custody, reported Mytwintiers.com.

“When he said he served in Iraq, I got down hands on my knees and said, ‘You know, we’re going to get through whatever you’ve done here tonight,’ and told him, ‘You’re going to get better and focus on that,’ and said, ‘You can contact me after this thing is done,” Chenelly told Rochester First. “I was told not the engage with him right now. I think it’s very important we obviously have a mental health crisis nationwide— not just with our veterans but we especially have it with our veterans.”

2. Jakubonis Was at Fort Bragg in 2008 & Wrote On LinkedIn, ‘Hire me’

In 2008, Fort Bragg posted a photo of Jakubonis. The caption read, “(Another service member), right, 432nd Blood Supply Detachment, checks the blood type as Pfc. David Jakubonis reads off the list of blood needed by the simulated clinic in the field during their week-long training Oct. 14 through 18.”

He has an Instagram page, but it only has a single photo on it.

On a LinkedIn page, he wrote, “hire me. Actively seeking employment.” He wrote that he was a medical laboratory technician in the U.S. Army from 2007 to 2012, but other positions were “candidate for various agencies” and prospective asset.” He also wrote that he was “chief of Morale” for the RIT Veterans club.

The page also says he received a bachelor’s degree from RIT. “Bachelor’s Degree, summa cum laude, Criminal Justice, concentration in Psychology,” it reads, listing his GPA as 3.87. Under “activities and societies,” he listed, “President, Criminal Justice Student Association, 2013-2014.”

He also wrote that he received an associate of science degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences from George Washington University in 2008. The page lists “5 years of work experience in all departments within the laboratory of Army medical hospitals and clinics. Laboratory Technician duties also included blood donation work in all sections of the process.”

His wife’s Facebook page indicates she is deceased.

I would prefer the Democrats and their militant wing not take the irrevocable step while they also control most of the levers of government power. The election in November should see more state and local governments in total or stronger Republican hands, which leads on one hand to things like shipping President Biden’s illegals to New York City and Washington, DC, and on the other hand to overruling or replacing Soros district attorneys and enforcing tighter voting laws.

Yes, I do strongly hope the culture war does not go more kinetic than it already has. But if it must, I would prefer the battlefield to be better shaped than it is at present.

#16  Ref #3, Not flawed at all, just uncomfortable to face for many. Good times have created soft men, and a LOT of trash unfortunately. It may be entropy, but it can be checked.

Entropy is simply a measure of disorder and affects all aspects of our daily lives. In fact, you can think of it as nature's tax. Left unchecked disorder increases over time. Energy disperses, and systems dissolve into chaos. The more disordered something is, the more entropic we consider it.

#18  Very true, NMBS. This is my observation as well. And my theory stems from it. The universe is a cauldron of violent forces. Everything including man was born from a volatile churn of entropy and controlled force by... Someone. The greater the entropy the greater force is required to contain it. If He won't, we must.

Controlled violence, in this case. The fear of death deters timid men. And the plodding, conspiratorial bastitches who abuse our constitutions into working for them, they can all be put in their place. Just a bit of culling is necessary and they learn, I know. The men we appoint today unfortunately to wield violence are screened to be the kind wired to worry more about their pensions than doing what must be done. So sooner or later, it'll be up to citizens.

Of course there's a Biblical purpose to all this, whatever it is. The fall of the kingdoms of man and all that. The uniting of them under some monumental fucker who then gets trampled by Gawd on a white horse and such. But until then we stand here, with our fingers plugging holes in a dam that is going to burst one day. And people suffer. Those who naively believe in nonsense like laws and conventions. Shit.

The White House Is Running Scared After Biden's Diagnosis
[Red State] You’ve probably heard by now (especially if you visit RedState several times a day), but President Joe Biden, who is quadruple vaxxed and double masked, has contracted COVID-19.

Contrary to his past claims that we are in a "pandemic of the unvaccinated" and that those who have the vaccine won’t get infected, the president has now joined the great unwashed masses. Biden also broke CDC guidelines during a photo-op after finding out he’s been infected, which was just a "chef’s kiss" moment.

The real fireworks happened during Thursday’s press briefing, though. As RedState reported (see here and here), the White House comms team was none too happy about having to answer basic questions on the president’s illness. When reporters pressed for an explanation of where Biden was infected, Karine Jean-Pierre snapped, asserting "I don’t think that matters." That response came after a year-and- a-half of the administration pretending to care about contact tracing.

At another point, in a clip RedState hadn’t previously reported on, Karine-Jean Pierre got visibly upset with a reporter for accusing the White House of not being transparent.

Italian PM Mario Draghi Officially Resigns, Becomes FIFTH Leader to Abandon Ship As Governments around the World Begin to Collapse Under Weight of the "Great Reset"
[Gateway] Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi, who was named the "most powerful man in Europe" just months ago, was officially relieved of his post on Thursday after failing to garner enough support from his ruling party ahead of yesterday’s no-confidence vote in Parliament.

"After yesterday’s debate I have drawn my conclusions," Draghi explained briefly before his meeting with the President.

The Italian Parliament also announced that it would dissolve following Draghi’s announcement.

After rejecting his request last week, Italian President Sergio Mattarella accepted Draghi’s resignation, making the PM the FIFTH international leader to have stepped down from their position in recent weeks (not to even mention dozens of lower-level elected officials that have been ousted). The former PM will, however, continue to remain in charge of "current affairs" until a replacement is named. The move puts the country on course to hold snap elections by as early as mid-September or early October, according to several news sources.

Western companies in Blue States China and Russia eye exits
[Washington Examiner] Top Western companies continue to abandon operations in China and Russia, highlighting the obstacles to profitability in the powerful Eurasian countries.

On July 18, fast-fashion retailer H&M announced that it would be "winding down" its operations in Russia due to "current operational challenges and an unpredictable future," becoming the latest business to depart Russia as a result of its attack on neighboring Ukraine. The invasion has killed thousands of civilians and demolished cities, prompting global outcry and sanctions.

"After careful consideration, we see it as impossible given the current situation to continue our business in Russia," Helena Helmersson, CEO of H&M Group, said in a statement.

That same day, automotive manufacturer Stellantis revealed that it was ending a joint venture with Guangzhou Automobile Group, or GAC, to build Jeep vehicles in China and would instead focus on importing the SUVs. Stellantis cited "a lack of progress in the previously announced plan for Stellantis to take a majority share of the GAC-Stellantis joint venture" as the reason for the exit.

"Stellantis intends to cooperate with GAC Group in an orderly termination of the joint venture formed in March 2010, which has been loss-making in recent years, and will recognize a non-cash impairment charge of approximately €297 million in its first half 2022 results," the company said.

Mali expels UN peacekeeping mission spokesman
[DW] Mali's military junta has asked the front man of the UN peacekeeping mission, MINUSMA, to leave the country after he tweeted about the 49 Ivorian soldiers who were arrested in Mali.

Malian authorities on Wednesday ordered Olivier Salgado, the front man of the United Nations
...the Oyster Bay money pit...
peacekeeping mission, MINUSMA, to leave the country within 72 hours.

The move comes after Mali's military government ordered the temporary suspension of troop rotations by MINUSMA.

Mali has been at odds with its neighbors since the military seized power in August 2020. The recent arrest of the Ivorian soldiers further increased tensions between Mali and its neighbor, Ivory Coast.

Mali claimed that the 49 Ivorian soldiers were "mercenaries" who sought to topple the country's junta. They were arrested after arriving at Bamako airport aboard a special flight.

In turn, Salgado said the soldiers were working for a German company contracted by MINUSMA.

A statement by the Malian Foreign Ministry said the expulsion was due to social media posts.

"This measure follows the series of contentious and unacceptable publications by the person assigned to social networks declaring, without any proof, that Malian authorities were informed ahead of time of the arrival of 49 Ivorian military soldiers,'' the ministry said.

The UN, meanwhile, said it "deeply regrets" the requested departure of Salgado, MINUSMA's deputy director of communications.

"It is important to note that the doctrine of persona non grata does not apply to United Nations personnel," deputy UN front man Farhan Haq told news hounds in New York.

WHAT IS MINUSMA?
MINUSMA, or the United Nations' Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali, was created in 2013 to help the West African nation cope with a bloody jihadi campaign.

Mali has been battling an Islamist insurgency that emerged after an uprising in 2012 and has since spread to neighboring countries, killing thousands and displacing millions across West Africa's Sahel region
... North Africa's answer to the Pak tribal areas...
MINUSMA is one of the UN's biggest peacekeeping operations. According to the mission's website, it had 17,609 soldiers, police, civilians and volunteers deployed as of April this year.

But it's also one of the most dangerous operations, with dozens of casualties of MINUSMA personnel reported each year.

Egypt, MINUSMA's biggest single troop contributor, said last week it would "temporarily suspend" its participation in operations after seven of its soldiers were killed this year.

La Belle France and Germany have been involved in MINUSMA. However,
there is a theory which states that if ever anybody discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened...
Gay Paree announced earlier this year that it would withdraw its troops.

Berlin, on the other hand, is set to increase German participation in MINUSMA.

The EU is also involved in two training missions in Mali — the EUTM and the EUCAP — alongside MINUSMA, but the bloc is reducing its operations due to continued cooperation between Russian mercenaries and Mali's junta.

Estonian intelligence chief believes Ukraine will lose its territories
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[REGNUM] Ukraine will not be able to win back all the territories occupied by Russian troops. This was stated by the head of Estonian foreign intelligence Mikka Marran, speaking at a security forum held in Aspen.

According to the news portal of the Estonian state television and radio broadcasting ERR, while Marran continues to believe in the victory of Ukraine in the confrontation with Russia: "It will not be easy, it will take time, and Ukraine probably will not be able to return all its territories."

He added that in the strategic plan, Russia "will fail to achieve its goal of conquering Kyiv and most of Ukraine."

According to Marran, a quick end to the military conflict is not expected: "It will take time until Ukraine is ready to go on the counteroffensive and win back at least part of the territories."

He also noted that dozens of Russian officials, diplomats and big businessmen privately admit that they oppose the CVO in Ukraine.

-Lurid Crime Tales-
California alleged drug traffickers in massive fentanyl bust no shows in court after release on cashless bail
[FoxNews] Washington men Jose Zendejas and Benito Madrigal classified 'low risk,' released despite $750,000 fentanyl seizure during traffic stop.

Two accused drug traffickers busted with 150,000 fentanyl pills during a California traffic stop last month failed to show in court Thursday after being released on cashless bail.

Defendants Jose Zendejas, 25, and Benito Madrigal, 19 — released on their own recognizance less than 24 hours after their arrest with the large stash of illicit drugs — were scheduled to appear for their arraignments at the Tulare County Courthouse in central California on Thursday morning, but failed both men failed to show.

The judge called for Zendejas and Madrigal — both from Washington state — who were not in court, and the warrant for their arrest continues.

The judge withdrew the prior $2 million bond and directed each be held without bond if they pop up.

Before Thursday, Tulare County Sheriff Mike Boudreaux said he did not expect the defendants to show up. He placed blame on the state’s soft-on-crime attitude and so-called criminal justice reform for a policy that allowed the two alleged drug traffickers to go free with nothing but a promise to come to court.

"I didn't learn about the order until it was far too late," Boudreaux previously told Fox News. "I couldn't believe we had 150,00 fentanyl pills — one of the most dangerous epidemics facing our nation today — with people in custody that we may potentially be able to impact the future of this type of drug trafficking organization… and we let them go."

"Although there is a need for a pre-trial release program, to do it covertly in the middle of the night in a very nontransparent matter is extremely dangerous," Tulare County District Attorney Tim Ward told Fox News on Thursday outside the courthouse, referring to the court’s initial decision to release the defendants. "What we discovered here was that it was occurring based on a decision without any foundation of the facts of the case. And I think going forward, I think everyone is realizing that’s a mistake and should not continue."

"The problem is once again the legislature and the state of California are trying to go down some social experiment born on the back of law-abiding citizens," Ward said. "I go out on a limb and say that had these defendants been subject to the million bail that was in place when they were arrested, and they made bail based on that amount, they would have some skin in the game, some financial obligation and motivation to return to court."

California Highway Patrol officers pulled over the suspects’ vehicle on June 24 at approximately 7:30 p.m. near Highway 99 and Tulare Avenue and requested assistance from the Tulare County High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Unit (HIDTA), which found 150 packages, each package containing 1,000 fentanyl pills, inside.

Neither the district attorney nor the sheriff said they were consulted on the release.

#3  Somebody may have figured that out, Frank. Perhaps one of the Cartel 'insiders' within the law enforcement community transmitted the where and when for the releases (but then I do go to the dark side in some of my thoughts).

Will save the state a bit of cash for incarceration, court costs, etc.

So a judge released Jose Zendejas, and Benito Madrigal based on their word as "honest citizens" that they would appear? But when they failed to show, then somehow the judge "withdrew a prior $2 million bond".

Was it a Virtual $2 Million bond ????

I guess someone in California needs to explain that one to me?

But given it is California, will Tulare County hold a abandoned property sale and sell the 150,000 fentanyl pills to the highest "Honest citizen"?

#8  They lost inventory not money. If 10 percent or less is found, the massive wave of the stuff that Biden has promoted cannot be actually be being consumed or every town in America would look like SF - the final goal. The soldiers are probably worth more to the drug lords than the raw materials. That said - if they try to run they are dead.

#11  fwiw, this is a very Republican county

3 Republican Congressman split parts of this county (districts run into other counties)

Trump carried county by about 8% over Biden.

Judge is apparently just executing State 'low bail/no bail' law.

Also, the release of the Fentanyl mules was three weeks ago.

Wonder what is taking place behind the scene.

Russian Perspective: Operation to Denazify Ukraine: Operational Brief July 21st (updated)
Direct Translation via Google Translate.

Kindly note that several entries in this article were removed because they included discussions of the grand strategic level.

[NewsFrontInfo] 22:52 British Defense Minister Ben Wallace said that the following will be transferred to Kiev in the near future:

- 20 self-propelled guns M109;
- 36 towed howitzers L119;
- counter-battery radar;
- 1,600 anti-tank weapons;
- a large number of UAVs, including loitering ammunition;
- over 50,000 artillery shells of Soviet caliber.

Armaments were mainly purchased by London for Ukraine in third countries.

21:49 In Poland, they are assembling their own territorial defense capable of waging street battles. Now in the Polish defense forces there are 15 brigades with a total number of 32,000 fighters. New brigades will be deployed - one in Warsaw, two more - near the Ukrainian border. The recruits will be trained not only by Polish officers, but also by instructors from the US and the UK. Official Warsaw declares that "all militarization measures are exclusively defensive in nature and are aimed at protecting against external threats."

21:44 The National Security and Defense Council and the Ministry of Defense have launched a system for tracking the supply of Western weapons to Ukraine. This was announced by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Alexei Danilov. True, access to it, according to Danilov, will have a very limited circle of people:

"The system is absolutely closed. Only the military-political leadership of our state has access to it. However, thanks to her, we know that not a single bullet from the supply has disappeared anywhere."

21:43 The main thing from the statement of the head of the National Defense Control Center of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mizintsev:

▪️In total, since the beginning of the special operation, Russian sappers have checked more than 4,700 hectares of the territory of Donbass, defused 102,695 explosive objects;
▪️Ukrainian soldiers in Russian uniforms demonstratively engaged in robbery in Slavyansk, while filming;
▪️The Armed Forces of Ukraine equipped firing and sniper positions in the houses of the city of Kramatorsk in the DPR, and placed MLRS in the yards.

20:28 Map from Reuters, showing the places of the most intense fighting in Ukraine from July 6 to 12, created on the basis of satellite images and data on the fires. Each red dot is usually a shelling point - the more there are in one place, the more intense the shelling or clash was.

19:44 Russian Defense Minister General of the Army Sergei Shoigu handed over stars of "Heroes of Russia" to the participants of the special military operation in Ukraine:

- Deputy commander of the fighter aviation regiment, Lieutenant Colonel Ilya Sizov;
- commander of a tank regiment, Colonel Ivan Shits;
- Flamethrower platoon commander Senior Lieutenant Andrey Solovyov.

18:35 As previously reported yesterday and as a result of a strike by Ukrainian kamikaze drones on the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant, 11 plant specialists were injured, four of them are still in a stable serious condition.

Physicians provide all necessary medical care. According to doctors, there is no threat to life. We keep in touch with the families of the victims, they will be provided with all the necessary assistance. The nuclear power plant is operating normally, the radiation background is normal.

18:35 On enemy targets in Mykolaiv region applied impacts: pillars of smoke are visible from the arrivals

17:01 UK put to Ukraine a new batch of weapons. The UK will supply Ukraine with a batch of 105mm L-119 artillery pieces (36 units) and 20 155mm M-109 self-propelled guns. Together with them, 50 thousand shells will be delivered. In addition, Kyiv will receive more than a hundred drones and radars from the British for counter-battery combat.

16:05 Soldiers of the 36th Separate Marine Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine complain that the officers of the brigade beat their brother to death.
The Ukrainian 36th Separate Naval Infantry Brigade had been on the front line in southern Donetsk since 2015, and was the main Ukrainian military unit defending Mariupol
15:28 All tasks of the SVO will be completed so that it is "calm, peaceful and comfortable" in Donbass - Medvedev at a meeting with refugees

14:07 Russian special services in Kherson revealed a group of wounded Ukrainian servicemen hiding in the region. All of them were provided with comprehensive medical care in one of the hospitals in the Kherson region.

The Ukrainian servicemen made a request to include them in the exchange lists. However, the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in a manner characteristic of the junta, wrote off the guys who, without proper equipment, were thrown to the front line like cannon fodder.

14:06 The UK will send 50,000 artillery shells and hundreds of anti-tank weapons to Ukraine in the coming weeks. This was stated by Minister of Defense Ben Wallace.

12:31 The main thing from the new briefing of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation:

▪️More than 600 militants were killed on July 16 by a strike by the Russian Armed Forces on a point of temporary deployment of nationalists in a recreation center in the Odessa region;
▪️Fighter aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces in the Kramatorsk region shot down a Su-25 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force;

▪️The RF Armed Forces intercepted eight Ukrainian shells of the Urgan MLRS in the Kherson and Kharkov regions.

11:32 The result of the night blows according to the Ukrainian warehouse in Nikolaev

10:58 The air defense system over Kherson, where the Armed Forces are shelling the bridge, is being strengthened, new forces are on alert, the authorities of the region said.

09:55 The RF Armed Forces attacked the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Kharkiv. According to Country V, the strikes were carried out last night on Ukrainian units in Kharkiv and military depots.

"A series of arrivals in Kharkov. Warehouses and locations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the source said. According to him, again, strikes were inflicted on Chuguev in the Kharkiv region.

08:55 The CAA of the Kherson region reports a new attempt by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to attack the Antonovsky bridge in Kherson. 12 HIMARS missiles were fired - all were shot down.

08:01 The roof of the elevator in the city of Pologi in the Zaporozhye region collapsed due to fire, caused by shelling from the APU. Now it is not possible to extinguish the elevator, since the plant is constantly under fire from the Ukrainian troops.

07:06 The US Air Force Chief of Staff said that Western countries could soon supply fighter jets to Ukraine.

01:13 Information about explosions in Kherson is spreading. Air defense works over the city.

Rantburg has been tracking all that since 9/11/2001, Omineling Forkbeard1962. Quite a few of us have privately or professionally been tracking it all for decades before that.

If you want to see what is happening in Ukraine at the moment from the Ukrainian perspective, badanov posted a 4500+ word summary translated from Korrespondent. As he does every day.

The proper response from you, Omineling Forkbeard1962, is an apology to Frank G. for your rudeness and — after you have read it — florid thanks to badanov for all his hard work in learning both Russian and Ukrainian so he can give us both perspectives.

Syria says Israeli airstrikes near Damascus kill 3 soldiers, wound 7

[IsraelTimes] Damage reported in suburb of Sayyidah Zaynab, near Syrian capital

Israeli fighter jets launched a series of Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
s on areas near the Syrian capital Damascus shortly after midnight on Friday, killing three soldiers and wounding seven others, Syria’s official state media reported.

Heavy explosions were heard over both the Syrian capital and northern Israel, according to local reports.

The state-run broadcaster SANA, citing a military source, said most of the missiles launched from over the Golan Heights were intercepted.
Most. That’s like close, which only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades, or so I’ve been told.
The Syrian military claims to shoot down incoming missiles after nearly every alleged Israeli strike, an assertion Israeli military officials and civilian defense analysts largely dismiss as empty boasts.

The military source also said damage was caused to the sites that were hit, without elaborating on the extent or the nature of the targets.

A site in the southern Damascus suburb of Sayyidah Zaynab was damaged, according to local media reports and images circulated on social media.

SANA reported the casualties in the airstrikes without specifying the ranks and identities of the killed and maimed.

There was no comment from the Israel Defense Forces, which does not comment on individual strikes, except for those in retaliation to specific attacks against Israel.

More AR Type Rifles Than Ford F-150 Trucks in America Today
[NSSF] NSSF®, the firearm industry trade association, updated the industry estimate of Modern Sporting Rifles (MSRs) in circulation in the United States to 24,446,000 since 1990. That is an increase of over 4.5 million rifles since the last estimate was released in 2020.

The estimate is derived from NSSF research, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Annual Firearms Manufacturing and Exportation Report (AFMER) and U.S. International Trade Commission (U.S. ITC) data, in cooperation with manufacturers, importers and exporters of MSRs, or AR-15 and AK-style rifles. This most recent estimate includes production figures current through 2020, when the industry estimates over 2,798,000 of these rifles were produced or imported. This estimate does not include MSRs that were produced and exported or imported and later exported.

The MSR remains the most-popular selling centerfire semiautomatic rifle in the United States today. There are more MSRs in circulation today than there are Ford F-Series trucks on the road.

"This is a truly significant figure that demonstrates — again — the popularity of this commonly-owned style of rifle," said NSSF President and CEO Joe Bartozzi. "The firearm industry responds to market demand and this shows that during the elevated period of firearm sales that began in 2020, this particular style of rifle is the top choice for law-abiding citizens for hunting, recreational shooting and self-defense."

The MSR’s popularity for lawful ownership is attributable to several factors, including accuracy, reliability, modularity and low recoil.

#7  MSR = Modern Sporting Rifle. Because it's not an "assault weapon." It's not a "machine gun," It's not even selective fire.

As for the "physicians" and politicians weighing in on how devastating a 5.56 round is, note that most deer hunting states consider 5.56 / .223 too small and weak to make a humane kill on a deer, and don't allow it's use for that purpose.

India-Pakistan
Pakistan strongly condemns India's 'continued persecution' of Kashmiri leader Yasin Malik
Pakistain on Thursday strongly condemned India for implicating Jammu Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
Liberation Front (JKLF) chairman Yasin Malik
...chairman of one of the two factions of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front. JKLF is a Kashmiri nationalist organization founded in Birmingham, UK in 1977. Branches weren't actually established in Kashmir for another ten years. It has the usual demands for separation of J&K from secular India so it can become an independent Islamic rathole. It seems to have no interest in Pak Kashmir breaking away to join it. In 1994 Malik renounced violence after he was released from jail and from that point he and his organization pursued peaceful means to impose their will on the region...
in two more "three decades old fictitious cases in a clear attempt to politically victimise him and forcing him to observe hunger strike unto death".

In a statement, the Foreign Office said Malik was already serving a life sentence awarded to him after a "sham trial" by an Indian court on May 25, 2022.

"Yasin Malik is also being denied the right of personal appearance in the ongoing trial, in complete contravention of legal and democratic norms," the FO regretted.

The statement said India had employed judiciary as a tool to damage the morale of Kashmiris by subjecting their leadership to "flagrant prejudice".

The FO pointed out that Malik, having been left with no legal recourse, eventually took the "desperate decision of going on a hunger strike unto death from July 22, 2022."

The inhuman incarceration of Malik, his sham trials under fabricated cases, his fallacious conviction and the malfeasant attempts at defiling the legitimate struggle of the Kashmiris for their right to self-determination as "terrorism" is nothing but further corroboration of India’s known credentials of being a serial violator of human rights
One man's rights are another man's existential threat.
, the FO said.

"The Kashmiris’ struggle for the right of self-determination is indigenous and cannot be dampened by the draconian strong-arm tactics of the Indian government."

AANES Hands Over 11 Russian ISIS Children To Their Country
[NPASYRIA] The Department of Foreign Relations of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) handed over on Thursday 11 Russian children of the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(ISIS) to an official delegation from Russia.

The delegation was headed by Elena Alexandrov, assistant to the office of Maria Lvova Belova, Russia’s Presidential Commissioner for Children’s Rights.

During the handover, Alexandrov said that the Russian government would continue its efforts to "bring back all the [Russian] children in the camps, during the coming period."

Recently, the AANES has handed over 16 women and 35 children from ISIS families to a French delegation.

In the first half of 2022, the AANES handed over 116 ISIS children and 41 women from the mothers of these children to foreign delegations, according to statistics by the Department of Foreign Relations of the AANES in Qamishli.

Commentary by Russian blogger Donetsk

[DONRF] "Sit down at the negotiating table and agree that they will never threaten Russia and will not have weapons on the territory of Ukraine that will threaten Russian territory. This is the main thing. And denazification there and so on is a philosophy . Believe me, this is a philosophy, the main thing is the security of Russia," Lukashenko said, and I will not condemn him, because:

"In order to create these conditions (for negotiations), our troops withdrew from the center of Ukraine, from Kiev. The Kyiv authorities refused to implement these agreements, although they were practically achieved. So the end result depends, of course, not on the intermediaries, but on the desire of the contracting parties fulfill the agreements reached. We see today that the Kiev authorities do not have such a desire."
-- V.V.Putin

or like this :

Opportunities for dialogue between Russia and Ukraine remain. This was stated by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov in an interview with RIA Novosti.

It's just that Alexander Grigoryevich
Lukachenko
articulates the words of Vladimir Vladimirovich and his vizier. Why condemn it? But, But, father himself, the current situation did not rest, his goal is to hold out a right economy to the receiver, and leave him right. It is desirable that kerosene be brought from the city for that, and they pay for milk and potatoes in gold. War interferes. What will return as before - good.

But the position of Moscow ... but it has not changed either. All these deals, they are for the people, so the goal is different, it was voiced. That's all.

And therefore SVO. Blow - offer, blow - offer. The rest is the cost, and in the form of cotton in the DLNR and the Russian Federation, and in the form of strange patriots who want it. Whether this is good or bad, I can't judge.

War is worse than peace, and if there is a real chance of an agreement, then of course it’s good. But there is no chance, and if there is an agreement, it will not be fulfilled. I am personally sure of this. You know experience. And complete confidence that the Ukraine that our leaders see does not exist. She died and was buried on Independence Square eight years ago.

Therefore, all these calls are a cry to nowhere and a conversation with emptiness. The void will not answer. And the contract with it
(war)
is completely meaningless. But this is my opinion, at the top it is like this, to torment me to the contract and return it as it was for 2013. And this is a fact from which there is nowhere to go. And which no one hides, it's just that many hearts believe in miracles. The truth suits partners as it is, so Wishlist - they are like this.

American Vietnamese near Kharkov

Headline by Boris Rozhin.

Be advised Southfront.org is a banned website by the US State Department

US citizen Andy Tai Ngoc Huynh was born in California on February 17, 1995. He is ethnic Vietnamese. In 2014, he graduated from college in California with a degree in management.

From 2014 to 2018, Andy did active military service under contract with the 1345th US Marine Corps. According to Andy’s claims, he served as a heavy equipment operator, worked on a military pay loader. During his service, he was promoted to US Army corporal; his salary allegedly amounted to $ 1,500. Andy claims that in the last years of service he did not use firearms. However, he also said that he had passed 3-month training courses to use the M24 sniper rifle and M240 machine gun. For a long time, Andy Huynh served at the US Navy base on the island of Okinawa in Japan, where he suffered a barotrauma of his right ear. He also mastered his hand-to-hand combat skills. In 2018, he decided to retire from military service because he was no longer satisfied with the internal service schedule in his unit. After his discharge, Andy lived off his pension and worked as a courier driver.

Since 2014, Andy has been interested in the situation in Ukraine. He said that he saw a lot of pathetic American news about the events on the Maidan. In February-March 2022, being allegedly influenced by the US media, which reported on the criminal actions of Russian soldiers against civilians in Ukraine, he decided to take part in the military conflict on the side of Kiev.

#2  If the NATO countries thought there was a problem, they would be acting on it.

They'll be fine without the USA. They're the world's richest democracies, bound together in an alliance. They just added Sweden and Finland to their strength, plus a long border with Russia. They can easily deal with any problems that come along. They are the adults in the room, not like the stupid Americans who can't even ban guns in their own country.

#3  ^ someone is living in a fantasy land. British exit and eastern states threatening to do the same as Brussels dictates they commit cultural suicide for foreign invaders. They were never able to get their act together before 1939 and only had a semblance of 'peace' while America and the Soviets state sat on them for 50 years giving them the longest stretch of peace since Rome. Brussels solution appears to be follow the Moscow governing model but with better suits. America should have left when the Wall came down, so Europe could finally 'half life' its existence out of history. It's been a waste of time, lives, and resources keeping the place together like Justinian trying to resurrect the old Roman Empire at the expense of Byzantium's resources.

#5  No, Fukuyama, 'liberal democracy' is an unstable state that occurs before Oligarchy. As a video I remember cogently argued that there were two end states 'Republics' (Rule by 'one law for all') and Oligarchy (rule by a few privileged)...

Nuclear armageddon: Why did Ukraine almost give Europe a second Chernobyl
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited
Kp.ru special correspondent Dmitry Steshin suggested that Ukraine attacked the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant in order to hide nuclear developments from the IAEA

According to official information, there were three kamikaze drones that attacked the Zaporozhye NPP on July 20, 2022 from Ukraine. Judging by the surviving, rather large fragments of drones, the attack was stopped by air defense covering the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.

It is difficult to understand where the drones were aiming. Judging by the shooting from street cameras, the drones fell near the cooling ponds. According to Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of the military-civilian administration of Zaporozhye, the attack did not damage the nuclear reactors. The nuclear power plant is operating normally.

Question: Why then did Ukraine decide to attack a nuclear facility?

Handmade blackout?

Oddly enough, the electricity generated by the station is supplied to the entire south-east of Ukraine, and if the nuclear power plant is shut down, an energy collapse will begin throughout the region. It is unlikely that Ukraine planned to de-energize Odessa, Nikolaev or Dnepropetrovsk. And the liberated territories would get out.

As the head of Zaporozhye Evgeny Balitsky noted: "We will get food, but they will have problems." Agree, it’s a shame to watch from the darkness how the light is on behind the front line, in the liberated territories ... Seditious thoughts may arise: are the commanders of the Square doing everything right?

The version of a man-made blackout disappears - Ukraine will have to do worse in this case. Moreover, close to Zaporozhye is the energy-surplus Donbass.

"Second Chernobyl"

Three drones and ten kilograms of explosives can't really catastrophically damage nuclear reactors. Their protection was originally designed to withstand the fall of an aircraft weighing 20 tons at a speed of 720 km/h.

In recent history, there have been attempts to undermine nuclear power plants from the inside. In the summer of 1979, Basque militants planted a bomb right in the turbine hall of the Spanish Lemonis nuclear power plant. The turbine was slightly damaged, five tons of oil caught fire. Two years later, five anti-tank missiles hit the reactor building of the French Saint-Alban nuclear power plant. Of the damage - destroyed 80 meters of the concrete containment of the reactor.

It is difficult to imagine that Kyiv was going to arrange a "Second Chernobyl" in Zaporozhye. There, of course, they are capable of everything. But Europe would not like the explosion of the largest nuclear power plant on the continent. Kyiv understands this.

Dirty Ukrainian bomb

Post-Maidan Ukraine has never hidden that it dreams of nuclear weapons. Back in 2014, the Bandera people from the Rada introduced a draft law on the denunciation of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons and even calculated on their knees that Ukraine needed $3.4 billion and 2 years to return to the "club of nuclear powers." However, Ukraine did not leave this club - in terms of the number of operating nuclear reactors, it is in fifth place in Europe.

In February 2020, just before the start of the special operation, Vladimir Zelensky threatened that Ukraine could create an atomic bomb.

And when the Zaporizhzhya NPP was liberated and it was possible to inspect it, amazing and ominous discoveries awaited Russian specialists. According to the Director General of the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency. - Auth.) Rafael Grossi, provided to the Wall Street Journal, 30 tons of plutonium and 40 tons of enriched uranium were found at the station. These are only those finds that have leaked into the public space. About other surprises, our authorities speak in a streamlined way.

I quote Vladimir Rogov: "There was a large amount of nuclear materials at the nuclear power plant that are not needed for the operation of the station and could not appear here just like that."

Ending with a host of other interesting moments. What are these moments - the IAEA commission, which has been meeting with an inspection at the Zaporizhzhya NPP, should have seen it since spring. But, the IAEA likes to emphasize that it is out of politics, therefore, it will not work in a war zone. And the IAEA does not want to believe the conclusions of Russian nuclear experts that Ukraine was seriously preparing to make an atomic bomb on its knee. After all, this proves that Russia is right in launching a special operation.

Therefore, Ukraine has chosen the cheapest, albeit risky, way to cancel the inspection of nuclear workers - to arrange a "war" at nuclear power plants. Just think about these words - SEND DRONES WITH EXPLOSIVES TO THE LARGEST NUCLEAR PLANT IN EUROPE!

For that, the truth will not be revealed. And Western support will continue as usual.

#1  So the idiot Russian use a nuclear power plant as a ammunition dump, then blame the country they invaded for trying to destroy the ammunition?

Do Russians actually fall for this BS?

#2  I don't think the Zaporozhe nuclear plant was used as an ammunition dump. The author ultimately doesn't offer an explanation for the attack, other than it was a nuclear plant.

#3  I believe the RU folks were using areas of that facility to launch their artillery/rocket attacks across the river as normal counter-battery by the UA would be a bad idea (so not a bad tactical strategy on the RU part).

The kamikaze drone attacks would be more precise and less likely to hit something critical.

#4  Other reports had the Russians storing ammunition there, because of the Ukrainian strikes against other ammunition dumps.

#3  Simply put, infinity is every single possible outcome of every single physical change moment existing simultaneously, parallel in time, and that it is the observation of the change moment(s) that creates the particular, singular outcome that is the present for the observer. Consider the trees in the forest falling creating sound only is there is a listening observer question, that observation is in fact a component of the event, not merely witness to it. Regardless, it remains that Schrodinger's cat is always dead for all practical purposes! lol

#6  I sometimes think the observer effect, the whole Copenhagen thingy, may also have to do with what Jesus said. In a way.

If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this tree, be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea, and it should obey you.

He didn't say 'if thou art pure of heart' or 'lest thou hast pleased the bishop with 'nuff tithes' etc. Think about it. Just believe it's gonna do something as ridiculous as uproot itself, like a cartoon tree and go and ploop! In the sea.

What if what we're 'observing' is all mutable, malleable, subject to something that only comes from whatever faith is. I don't have it. I have met people who did, but they didn't uproot any trees for my benefit now. They just had enough to get 'em by in this place. Maybe it's given in verrry careful measures to folks doubly triply tested, all QCs passed by Him? Because if someone like me could do the tree thing, why a third of this planet would be dead.

Goddamit how'd I get to here from computing? It's the painkillers.

India-Pakistan
Srinagar : NIA conducts raids
National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday carried out searches at multiple places in the recovery of arms in Chanpora area of city in the month of May."Today (20.07.2022), NIA conducted searches at nine locations in Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain.
(4 in Srinagar District and 5 in Pulwama District) in the case related to the conspiracy of carrying out terror activities in and around Srinagar, in which four accused persons were arrested and 15 Pistols, 30 Magazines, 300 rounds and one Scorpio vehicle were seized," NIA said here. "The case was registered initially in PS- Chanapora, Srinagar as FIR no 31/2022 and was re-registered by NIA on 18.06.2022."

The searches, probe agency said were conducted today at the premises of accused and suspects in the case have led to the recovery and seizure of digital devices and other incriminating materials.

Further investigations in the case are in progress, it added.

Notably, 15 pistols, apparently amassed for assassinations, were recovered from a terrorist module in area of Srinagar in last week of May.

"Two local hybrid bully boyz of the Lashkar-e-Taiba
...the Army of the Pure, an Ahl-e-Hadith terror organization founded by Hafiz Saeed. LeT masquerades behind the Jamaat-ud-Dawa facade within Pakistain and periodically blows things up and kills people in India. Despite the fact that it is banned, always an interesting concept in Pakistain, the organization remains an blatant tool and perhaps an arm of the ISI...
’s (LeT) The Resistance® Front (TRF) were arrested (in Srinagar). Incriminating materials, arms and ammunition have been recovered. An investigation is going on. It is a big success for the police," Inspector General of Police Vijay Kumar had said soon after the recovery of pistols.

There was this old lady who called up to inquire once, what the punishment would be for helping some fools cross over with bombs and stuff. Because her son was involved in something like it.

The station officer, a bright chap, said, "Why, nothing! We'll just slap this silliness out of him an' send 'im home, lady."

She gave them the details of their plan and they caught a truck full of grenades, ammo, walkies, cells, IED making stuff...

And they did send the stupid bastard home, but with the fright of his life.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
Work website secretly aids military mobilization in southern Russia
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[KavkazUzel] The authorities are looking for more than 22,000 military personnel through the state portal "Jobs of Russia"; more than 3,600 vacancies fall on the regions of the south and the North Caucasus. The Rostov Region is the leader in terms of the number of such vacancies, Important Stories reported.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that information regularly appears about sending volunteers to Ukraine. Thus, the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, often reports about the dispatch of volunteer detachments from Chechnya to participate in a special operation, including residents of other regions of the country. In addition, on May 18, he announced that about 3,000 Chechen fighters had been sent to Ukraine since the beginning of the military special operation. On July 10, Ramzan Kadyrov called rumors about the forced Chechen residents to fight in Ukraine.

In the state database of vacancies "Work of Russia" created by the Federal Service for Labor and Employment, vacancies for admission to contract service are published. 2,075 vacancies - more than in other regions of the country, are open for contract service in the Rostov region. In mid-June, the authorities searched for more than 22,200 thousand military personnel through the state portal "Work of Russia", the publication "Important stories" reported today in its Telegram channel.

In general, in the regions of the South and North Caucasus, more than 3,600 contract workers are looking for through the labor exchange: 690 vacancies are open in the Krasnodar Territory, 588 in the Volgograd Region, 124 in the Stavropol Territory, 103 in Chechnya, 60 in North Ossetia and 12 in Kalmykia, the publication says. site of the publication "Important stories." The authorities do not announce mobilization, but continue to massively recruit contract soldiers and immediately send them to Ukraine to compensate for the lack of people, the publication believes.

"Employment services are just an auxiliary channel for recruitment. Contract soldiers have always been recruited mainly from conscripts: they are regularly offered to conclude a contract during their service," the publication quoted military expert Pavel Luzin as saying.

Contractors are not required to go to Ukraine, but if there is an order, it is difficult to refuse to comply with it, Pavel Luzin explained. “You can refuse to carry out an order only through a report, and such a report is a black mark for a serviceman, this will turn the service into hell before the contract expires. opinion In fact, the army is a collective organism, and you are either with the team or against it, but then the team is against you," the expert explained.

According to the state portal "Work of Russia", in the Rostov region, private and sergeant personnel are offered from 80,000 to 200 thousand rubles when serving under a contract, in Chechnya, military personnel in junior command positions are offered from 25 to 100 thousand rubles, in the Krasnodar Territory - from 15 to 45 thousand rubles. Servicemen in the Astrakhan region are offered from 20 thousand rubles, in the Stavropol Territory - from 22 to 41 thousand rubles.

Recall that on June 3, a military court in Chechnya appointed ten days of arrest for Ali Musaev, an employee of the military commandant's office, because of his refusal to go on a business trip "to the area where special tasks are being carried out."

Ukrainian Perspective: Invasion of Ukraine: July 21st, 2022
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Korrespondent] 23:39 Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz said at the Aspen Security Forum that his country supports Ukraine, but it does not need a conflict with Russia: "Israel is definitely on the western side. Israel is definitely on the Ukrainian side. We support it with all diplomatic measures. We support her with humanitarian aid… We have opened a field hospital.”

However, when asked why not do more for Ukraine, Gantz replied: “We have our own operational considerations. We have a common air border with Russia over Syria ... So we have other calculations that we must take into account. Russia does not threatens us directly. But we have to make sure we have a dialogue with the Russians. We have to reduce the conflict with them."
“Also, we’re in the middle of several wars over here, and can’t afford to send off all our weapons and ammunition while we still need them,” he added.

It provides, in particular, a ban on "direct and indirect" imports of Russian gold, freezing the assets of Sberbank; in addition, First Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, artists Vladimir Mashkov and Sergei Bezrukov, and the president of the Night Wolves motorcycle club, Alexander Zaldastanov (Surgeon), fell under the sanctions.

It is necessary - we recognize it by presidential decree."

He also urged Kharkiv residents not to be at public transport stops during periods when shelling is most common.

20:08 UK intelligence chief Richard Moore believes that the Russian military will again pause the operational pause in the next few weeks, which will give Ukraine the opportunity to strike back: "I think they are about to run out of potential. Our assessment is that the Russians it will become increasingly difficult to supply manpower over the next few weeks... They will have to pause for a while, and this will give the Ukrainians an opportunity to strike back."

19:43 Lavrov admitted that the Kremlin is waging an aggressive war in Ukraine. He stated that the "geographical tasks" of the Russian war are expanding. Following Putin's "hawk" Medvedev said that the Russian army intends to "push Ukrainian troops not only from Donetsk, but also wider." Details about what this means - in the material Russia "expands the geography" of the war .

According to him, at first the picture in the information field of the Russian Federation was based on the hostilities in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, but now the Kremlin is "creating the ground for resolving the status of the temporarily occupied territories in the south." This can happen through a pseudo-referendum or direct annexation of the occupied territories of Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.

15:02 In the Diya application, a survey on what to do with the coat of arms of the USSR on the Motherland monument in Kiev has ended. Almost 800 thousand people took part in the voting, which lasted two weeks. As a result, 85% of respondents voted to replace the coat of arms of the USSR with the coat of arms of Ukraine. Another 9% supported the idea of leaving the shield empty, simply removing the Soviet coat of arms, and only 6% would like everything to remain as it is.

14:46 Zelensky announced the creation of an English-language digital media @U24_gov_ua. Today starts the first show on YouTube called Fight for Freedom about the power of Ukrainian defenders. The pilot episode focuses on the role of military drones in this war.

14:29 Lavrov will hold talks in Moscow today with Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó, Russian media report.

14:25 Russia has used 55-60% of its stocks of high-precision weapons, Vadim Skibitsky, a spokesman for the MOU's Main Intelligence Directorate, said. He clarified that we are talking about the Iskander, Kalibr systems, air-launched cruise missiles. At the same time, ballistic missiles were most used for the Iskander complex, although their use has not been recorded for a long time. According to Skibitsky, this is due to sanctions against Russia, since many of the components of this missile were foreign-made.

At the same time, he added that there are large stocks of old Soviet weapons - these are Kh-22 cruise missiles, which have already been used twice from the territory of Belarus, as well as other cruise missiles, a set of Smerch, Uragan rockets, aerial bombs. "It is very difficult to calculate what they have left there," Skibitsky admitted.

14:13 The Russian military dragged at least 14 units of heavy equipment with ammunition, weapons and explosives into the engine room of the first power unit of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, Energoatom reports. The equipment of the Russians is located very close to the equipment responsible for the operation of the turbogenerator. In particular, in close proximity to the main oil tank, where flammable oil is stored. Also there is explosive hydrogen.

Energoatom notes that if, for example, an ammunition load accidentally detonates, the scale of the fire can be the same as during the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.

13:32 The Russian occupiers not only demand from Mariupol farmers to collect and give the entire crop to the "DPR" property, but also force them to sign legal "papers" on the transfer of ownership of land plots and property to certain people free of charge. According to the adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, Petr Andryushchenko, after that, farmers are forbidden to evacuate in any direction, and they are obliged to work for hire practically for free.

04:01 The American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) suggests that the current Russian offensive in the Donetsk region may end with the capture of Slavyansk or Bakhmut. Analysts predict that the current Russian offensive in Donbas will result in minor territorial gains northeast of the E40 highway and culminate somewhere along the E40 in the coming weeks. In doing so, Russian forces will encounter terrain that will be much more favorable to the Ukrainian defenders as they advance towards the E40 around Sloviansk and Bakhmut.

Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops have resumed limited ground attacks northwest of Slavyansk and in the Donetsk-Avdiivka area. The invaders continued local ground advances east of Seversk and achieved minor successes northeast of Bakhmut.

Experts also suggest that the Russian occupation authorities are using the latest Ukrainian precision strikes and partisan activities to create conditions for the mass deportation of Ukrainian citizens to the territory of the Russian Federation.

This struggle is likely to remain a protracted conflict."

Milli also said that weapons are delivered to Ukraine from the United States within 48 hours after Biden's decision, and to the front line after two weeks of training.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Russia, Iran Marginalize Turkish Operation On Syria's North
[NPASYRIA] Russia and Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
marginalized, during Tehran’s summit on July 19, Ottoman Turkish potential military operation against north Syria, and thus The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire...
failed to obtain a green light to launch the military operation, political analyst and legal counsel, Ra’ouf al-Ali, from Aleppo Governorate, said Thursday.

The final statement of the Russian-Iranian-Ottoman Turkish tripartite summit in Tehran summarized the three countries’ determination to continue cooperation to eliminate terrorism and preserve Syrian territorial integrity.

The Tehran’s trilateral summit brought president of Iran Turkey and Russia together with the Syrian issue on the top of its agenda.

"Ottoman Turkish forces has not made any move until they obtain a go-ahead from its region’s allies, Russia and Iran, which have not granted Turkey, in turn, a sign of yes to move inside Syrian territory," al-Ali told North Press.

This indicates, according to the political analyst, "The Russian-Iranian marginalization of the military operation comes at a time when Turkey is seeking to implement its plans and move without any interference or support from any international party."

He believes that Turkey had knew the results of Tehran summit in advance, through recent changes that took place on the ground, and the agreement between the Syrian government and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) to defend and protect Syrian territorial integrity.

India-Pakistan
Terror attacks in J&K down since 2018; Maoist violence reduced by 77%: Centre
[OneIndia] There has been a substantial decline in terrorist attacks from 2018 to 2021, Union Minister Nityanand Rai informed the Rajya Sabha
...After the Libyan Civil War, Sabha grew in importance as a slave auctioning town. However, an investigation by the National Commission for Human Rights in Libya (NCHRL) revealed that while there was illegal slavery, reports were exaggerated, as slave auctions were rare and not made public. This was a great comfort to everyone but the slaves peddled in secret. The city was later seized by forces loyal to the Libyan National Army (LNA) and its leader Khalifa Haftar in January 2019, probably for its collection of MiG-25 aircraft....
on Wednesday.

In a written reply to Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge, Rai said the Central government has a "policy of zero tolerance against terrorism and the security situation has improved significantly in Jammu and Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain.
The incidents of terrorist attacks also decreased significantly since 2018 in Jammu and Kashmir. A total of 229 terrorist attacks were reported in 2021; 244 in 2020; 255 in 2019; and 417 in 2018, the Minister of State for Home Affairs said.

In these attacks in the Union Territory, Rai said a total of 42 security force personnel were killed in 2021. Before that, 62 security personnel were killed in 2020, 80 in 2019 and 91 in 2018.

A total of 41 non-combatants were killed in 2021, following 37 in 2020 and 39 each in 2019 as well as 2018, he noted.

Meanwhile,
...back at the pond, the radioactive tadpoles grown into frogs. Really big frogs, in fact...
the incidents of Naxal
..they're the Maoists...
violence reduced by 77 per cent from all-time high of 2,258 in 2009 to 509 in 2021, Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai told the Rajya Sabha.

While giving a written reply to the query of Congress MP Akhilesh Prasad Singh, Rai said "The steadfast implementation of the 'national policy and action plan to address Left Wing Extremism (LWE) 2015 has resulted in a consistent decline in LWE violence".

"The incidents of LWE violence have reduced by 77 per cent from all-time high of 2,258 in 2009 to 509 in 2021. Similarly, the resultant deaths (civilians and security forces) have reduced by 85 per cent from all-time high of 1,005 in 2010 to 147 in 2021," the Minister said.

New York county confirms case of polio
"the virus may have originated in a location outside of the U.S."
Thank you, President Biden.
[FoxNews] The New York Department of Health on Thursday reported a case of polio in a resident of the state's Rockland County.

This case marks the first in the U.S. in nearly a decade.

The department said it was identified through sequencing at the Wadsworth Center — its public health laboratory — and confirmed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The sequencing showed revertant polio Sabin type 2 virus.

"This is indicative of a transmission chain from an individual who received the oral polio vaccine (OPV), which is no longer authorized or administered in the U.S., where only the inactivated polio vaccine (IPV) has been given since 2000," the department wrote. "This suggests that the virus may have originated in a location outside of the U.S. where OPV is administered, since revertant strains cannot emerge from inactivated vaccines."

Polio is endemic in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

A viral disease that can affect the nervous system and cause muscle weakness, the polio virus typically enters through the mouth.

While it is usually transmitted by hands contaminated with the fecal matter of an infected person, respiratory and oral-to-oral transmission through saliva may also occur.

Polio is very contagious, and a person can spread the virus even if they aren't sick. The majority of people infected with polio have no symptoms.

Symptoms can be mild and flu-like and can take up to 30 days to present, during which time the infected individual can spread the virus to others.

Although rare, some cases can result in paralysis or death.

Due to the success of the polio vaccine, introduced in 1955, cases were cut dramatically in the late 1950s and early 1960s. The last naturally occurring cases of polio in the U.S. were reported in 1979, and the last known case in the country was recorded by the CDC in 2013.

Robot dog with machine gun hints of a dystopian future
[cybernews.com]While Boston Dynamics show off their robot’s dance moves, others turn similar-looking devices into dystopian killing machines.

Much like their flesh-made cousins, robot dogs do not lack attention on the internet. Many have seen the footage of Spot, a high-tech quadruped developed by the US-based company Boston Dynamics, flaunting its dance moves.

However, the latest addition to the robot dog content stream looks like something out of a science fiction movie. Twitter user Sean Chiplock shared a video of someone in Russia firing a gun from a quadruped robot.

Even though the post’s author discusses robots Boston Dynamics make, the one seen in the video is not made by the American company. As Sean Gallagher, a Senior Threat Researcher at Sophos points out, the robot dog is of Chinese origin.

The design of the robot looks a lot like Go1 robot dog Unitree Robotics makes. For example, the back side of the device in the video exhibits a distinct pattern on a plastic covering between its hind legs. A similar design is visible on devices in Unitree’s promotional material.

The Hangzhou-based company is selling the Go1 model of the robot for $2,700 on its website, a fraction of over $75k that American-made Spot would cost its owner.

While the robot doesn’t seem to handle recoil very well with the gun on ’burst fire’ mode, switching to a ’semi-automatic’ setting allows the robot to hit targets without moving around too much.

The robot in the video has patches on its surfaces with insignia associated with the Russian military: a Russian flag on one side and what seems to be a Wolf, which Russian special forces use.

The original video was posted on Youtube by Moscow-resident Alexander Atamanov.ecently reports came out that the US Army had agreed to send one of its two Boston Dynamic-made robot dogs to Ukraine, where it will carry out demining operations around the capital Kyiv.

The robot dog will help an American non-profit HALO Trust remove unexploded ordnance, including cluster munitions, and drag them to be safely exploded in batches far from civilians.

Although Boston Dynamics prohibits using the Spot platform as a weapon, its possible application for military and law-enforcement purposes is evident.

The robot dog trained alongside French troops in a reconnaissance exercise earlier this spring. However, its employment in the NYPD ended quickly last year after the public deemed it too creepy.

Fears that robot dogs will be used against humans have been vocal for several years. Most notably, a cult anthology TV series Black Mirror dedicated a whole episode, Metalhead, to the device in 2017.

The plot follows a group of humans hunted by a robot dog. Series creator Charlies Brooker said the inspiration for the episode came after he saw one of Boston Dynamics’ promotional videos.

Stephen King captured by Bandera
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
Well, clowns are so clowns - no Pennywise can compare. Why Pennywise - even Zelensky smokes in silence.

[REGNUM] Imagine the plot. A cult (yes, yes, that's right, don't argue!) writer lives in the US state of Maine. Author of dozens of books that are published in millions of copies around the world. The writer survived family trauma, drug addiction, an accident - survived; tough guy.

But one dark, dark night, a barely noticeable pale pink fog began to curl in his room. He crept up to the sleeping writer, and ominous voices in Ukrainian language whispered ancient spells, interrupted by exclamations of “Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the heroes!"

In the morning, the author woke up already captivated by the evil spirit, which was once known in the human world as Stepan Bandera - either a man or a demon, responsible for the brutal murders of thousands of people.

Well, if Stephen King again decided to write about himself, and he loves this business (how many times in his texts did a car hit the hero?), then he would probably like this plot. There is a cool villain, and a spectacular victim, and the voices of the past, and the current context - in general, sometimes they return, as the King of Horrors himself once titled his story.

But, probably, still Mr. King will not write about the captivity of the famous writer by the spirit of Stepan Bandera. Largely because he will be busy, firstly, searching for money for Ukraine, and secondly, creating a fake scenario about Russian “crimes” in Donbass. Perhaps even an entire book.

Actually, in King's sensational revelations to pranksters Lexus and Vovan, the most disgusting thing is precisely this - the willingness with which a serious author, a respected author, agreed to write a frank "jeans", a political order about how some allegedly torture others. He agreed to act as a stupid propagandist, working on one side of the conflict without doubts and as they say, a twinge of conscience, without a desire, in principle, to understand what is happening. An ordinary liar - that's what Mr. King showed himself to be.

He basically said a lot of abominations and nonsense. For some reason, they decided to spin a picture in telegrams about how King supposedly thinks that Bandera, in general, did not commit any special crimes. No, the King of Horrors did not say this - he only agreed with the pranksters, whom he mistook for President Zelensky. He generally behaved very obsequiously.

Although where is he, and where is Zelensky, in fact? However, perhaps this is just the banal politeness of a well-mannered person who grew up in a culture where it is important to “smile, just smile”, asking “how are you are?” when meeting, although, in fact, you don’t care how someone really is.

He was embarrassed, choking on his drink, in a conversation with pranksters, Stephen King only once, when Zelensky announced that his favorite hero was Pennywise (aka It from the book of the same name - brilliant, it should be noted, first of all, with his sociality). The rest of the time, Stephen King agreed, stating, for example, that Bandera is a great man, and comparing him with George Washington.

Well, we have a new King. Someone has already rushed to call him a bastard, a villain, and further down the fire-breathing list, like a dragon. In fact, we have seen that the cult author from Maine writes great books (I can easily prove why), but he is not wise. That's right - not wise.

The ancient Greeks had such a thing as amathia. It is quite difficult to translate it into Russian. This, simplifying, is the opposite of wisdom, which allows you to reason and act sensibly, for the good, decently. So, Stephen King showed us amathia.
"Amathia, then, can best be thought of as lack of wisdom, i.e. the opposite of sophia." Link
By the way, he once again showed that we overestimate famous people too much. Here recently, for example, Axl Rose from Guns'n'Roses (once a great rock band) confessed his love for Ukraine, food in the voice of Mickey Mouse about the war. Well? How many have been and will be? Paul McCartney generally lights up in Ukrainian. People live according to the agenda they are given. We are all, one way or another, part of the Matrix, and it is sometimes more difficult for stars (celebrity) to break out of it than for others. And will their un-wisdom cancel out the greatness of the Appetite for Destruction album and the greatness of McCartney 's songs ?

It's the same with Stephen King. His best books (and, to be honest, they have already been written a long time ago) we both loved and will continue to love, not intending to confiscate and burn from open access. Otherwise, how are we different from the idiots who suddenly decided to abolish Russian culture? Well, clowns are so clowns - no Pennywise can compare. Why Pennywise, even Zelensky smokes in silence.

#1  Amathia. A word our headmaster and many teachers would often use whilst teaching us Indian and bi-racial kiddies. They were all Irish or English Jesuits, you see, a French or Italian nun here and there in the mix. They resented our bringing the typically south asian 'primitiveness' inside the school gates. 😁

Amathia and agnoia. Their usage of the terms implied that a continued allegiance to useless hubris would make the education of none effect. We would try to learn but remain idiots. And we would actually protect our agnoia, our ignorance with more amathia, creating jumbled, albeit glorious sounding paradigms that led back to our ignorance. And you know what? That's exactly what happened with India.

Of course, the world is divided so sharply today, there are aggressively protected paradigms now and their agents who'll push the amathia, encourage it, shove it down your children's throat if you're not careful. It's everywhere now, and no one is immune to it. Very few people, like Rantburgers, can just laugh at the ridiculousness of the world, collaborate on expanding each other's trivia, and just... chill.

To Stoics, gentlemen, ladies. 🍻

#2  And of course, King has always been a good entertainer. He's very excitable and eager to share his views, if you meet him. Maybe someone just cornered him on his views on twitter in a bad day? Fiction writers can be totally normal outside and legion inside y'know? You never know when they may drop one worldview and adopt another, just for a few days.

Also, does the editor of regnum just let these guys go at the word processor and never check in? 🙃

#6  See? Writers, especially fiction writers, are involuntarily empathic folks, can assume worldviews at the drop of a hat. And the successful, commercial ones, their views are even a bit... compromised at times. No one should pay them any attention. They're just entertainers.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
Russian war style note
The folks in Donetsk who compile information on the near constant shelling by Ukrainian artillery units probably have better things to do than to concerned themselves with reporting styles.

They use the word shell as a verb, a gerund and a noun. But the way it gets translated sounds stupid.

This applies only to the Breakaway reporting which uses it constantly. From this moment forward, the word shell and shells will be replaced with round or rounds.

Examples:

"So and so was shelled this morning using 122mm rounds."

"So and so location experienced shelling by 122mm rounds."

If you have a a better solution, feel free.

White House says Russia planning to annex large swaths of Ukraine

by Dave Lawler

[Axios] The U.S. has intelligence indicating the Kremlin is "reviewing detailed plans" to annex multiple Russian-controlled regions of Ukraine, White House national security spokesperson John Kirby said Tuesday.

Why it matters: The four regions — Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk and Luhansk — are contiguous and together would connect Russia with the Crimean peninsula, which Moscow occupied and annexed in 2014.

Annexing them would mean claiming large swaths of Ukraine's territory and fundamentally shifting the outlook for any peaceful resolution to the war.
The big picture: Ukrainian officials have been warning for months that Russia's shadow government in Kherson was issuing Russian passports, mandating the use of the Russian ruble, and potentially planning a "referendum" on joining Russia. The plan Kirby laid out, which echoes U.S. intelligence warnings made in May, would be even more drastic.

Russia has previously denied any intention to annex additional parts of Ukraine. The Kremlin decided against annexing Donetsk and Luhansk in 2014, opting instead to arm and support separatist "republics" there.
Russia took control of most of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia in southern Ukraine in the early days of the war. In its current offensive in eastern Ukraine, Russia has cemented its control of Luhansk and is now focusing on Donetsk.

#9  The purported basis of the border realignment is the domestic population being culturally and historically Russian. To some that seems an acceptable form of reasoning for the invasion and occupation.

Now consider the possible long-term dissection of the United States through the cultural realignment of the past thirty years of illegal immigration. Even ten years ago I would have scoffed at such an absurd idea, But, with an estimated 8-10 MILLION illegals added by Biden to the 30+ already settled in over since the Clinton flood began, not as ridiculous as it once sounded. One world power would benefit the most from our decline and fracturing, and they seem behind so much of what has happened in the past decade, up to an including the present, the CCP.

How President Biden's advanced age, neurological issues, heart condition and past history of cancer all put the 79-year-old in the severe risk category for COVID
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Buffoon in chief
  • President Joe Biden has tested positive for COVID-19, the White House confirmed on Thursday morning

  • Biden, 79, may be at an increased risk of severe infection because of his older age, neurological issues and high blood pressure

  • He has received four COVID-19 vaccine shots, though, and is being treated with Paxlovid - significantly reducing his risk from the virus

  • Omicron is a relatively mild strain of Covid as well - with the mortality rate of people currently infected significantly lower than previous variants

-Short Attention Span Theater-
Mayor Pete Gets a Lesson in Electric Infrastructure
[Townhall] Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) explained to Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg on Tuesday how President Biden’s "impractical electric car policies" will hurt middle America.

Massie began by explaining that he has driven an electric vehicle for 10 years and even has solar panels on his home, but that the administration’s push for a rapid transformation of our energy sector is unrealistic given the U.S.’s current infrastructure.

Massie, an MIT graduate, ran through some numbers. "The average household uses 1,870 kWh/year for air conditioning," Massie said.

"It would take four times as much electricity to charge the average household's cars as the average household uses on air conditioning. So, if we reach the goal by 2030 that Biden has of of 50 percent adoption, that means the average household would use twice as much electricity charging one of their cars as they would use for all of the air conditioning that they use for the entire year."
Math b hard!
Massie pressed Buttigieg to answer how that would impact the grid.

The former South Bend mayor acknowledged the current grid would not be able to handle it but said work is being done to "map out some of the needs."
Nice plan ya got there, Mr. Transportation Secretary. How much will it cost to upgrade the grid, who will pay for it, and will the greenies allow its construction?

#6  Peter Buttgig is a miserable twerp who took 8 weeks of unauthorized maternity leave and would have taken more had he not been called by the office. There is no gag in the movie Office Space even close.

Assuming Massie doesn't mean general HVAC, Air Conditioning is really only used in earnest 1/3 to 1/4 of an entire year, depending upon location, all the more damning.

"And a charging station in every corn field."

Imagine, you have just a few days of the right weather for harvest, and your grain train travels from the shed to the field and you are already at half power. Look up the migration routes of custom cutters, and imagine them stopping every 100 miles for 2 hours. Then imagine those 2 hours count against the number of allowable driving hours per day, plus whatever the waiting time for an open charging station.

All those heavy electrical wires and nodes just sitting out there in tornado alley, collecting ice in the winter, sparking when the wind blows.

Amazing Auto Chase Insanity from Georgia, the end is utterly baffling
[CitizenFreePress/NYPost] Video shows a Georgia woman plowing her SUV into cops and police cars while a small child sits in the backseat — then claiming “I didn’t do it!” once she’s finally caught.

Sierra Hibbert took police on a short but bizarre chase after they pulled her over on reports she was driving erratically and veering into oncoming traffic on Highway 42, Byron Police Department said in a news release Monday.

#2  "Battle tanks"? Stupid journalists, I swear. These people do not understand what they are talking about. Battle tanks is like writing a story about agriculture and talking about fuzzy duckies and bunnies. It's the same level of lack of understanding.

Narcotics, arms trafficking from Sri Lanka: NIA raids at 22 places in Tamil Nadu
[OneIndia] The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday conducted searches at 22 locations in Tamil Nadu in connection with operations of narco mafia of Sri Lanka operating in collusion with Pakistain-based drug and gun runner Haji Salim for the revival of LTTE, the agency said in a statement.

NIA conducted searches at the premises of the accused and suspects in Chennai, Thiruppur, Chengalpatty and Thuruchirapally districts. Sri Lankan drug mafia is being operated by C Bunashekharan alias Guna and Pushparajah alias Pookutti Kanna in association with Haji Salim, drug and arms supplier based in Pakistain, the NIA said.

These drugs and arms traffickers have been working for the revival of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) and to further its violent mostly peaceful activities, the NIA added.

It had started the paperwork but haven't done much else on July 8 on the basis of intelligence gathered by it. "The searches conducted today have led to recovery and seizure of digital devices and various incriminating documents," the agency said.

Further investigations in the case are in progress.

Nigerian Police Arrest Cult Members Who Killed And Beheaded Man, Used Victim’s Head To Play Football

The queer thing is that, as far as I can tell, these cults started out as university fraternities, several generations ago, but then turned vicious. The old boys clubs still work though — reportedly many leading Nigerians are secretly members of one or another of these so-called cults.
Police authorities in Anambra State have arrested suspected cult members who killed a member of a rival group and used his head to play football.

The incident happened on premises suspected to be the residence of some students of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University in Igbariam in September 2021.

The video which trended on social media shows how a young man with dreadlocks was dragged out of his car and shot at close range.

His head was later brought to a square, where the assailants used it to play football.

In another trending video, two arrested suspected young cult members, Chisom Okafor and Ikechukwu Chinweze, admit to being members of Ayes cult and participating in killings.

Twenty-three-year-old Okafor is seen in the video confessing, "I’m also known as Stamina. I’m from Igboukwu, but my mum is from Awka. I am 23 years old. I belong to Ayes cult group, and have killed only three people before."
How many need one kill before the number is not only?
He identified two persons out of the three he said he had killed as Edu Obara and Savage. Both are suspected cultists who were murdered in 2021 and beheaded in a like manner. While Edu Obara was killed in Igbariam, Savage was killed and beheaded in Oko in the Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State, while his trunk was taken to Awka.

"I was among the cultists who went to Obj’s place (just nickname) and killed some coppers. We were seven in number that went for the operation. I dropped out of school, but I’m a tiler, and I do tiling very well."

Another cultist, who was also interviewed in the video said, "I’m Ikechukwu Chinweze, I’m 19 years old, from Umuzocha in Awka. I’m a school leaver. I was learning phone repairs before I met Chisom here in Ifite."

Meanwhile,
...back at the dirigible, the pilot and the copilot had both hit the silk.

Jack! Cynthia exclaimed. Do you know how to drive one of these things?

Jack wiped some of the blood from his knuckles.

No, he said. Do you?...

some residents of Anambra State have stated that the man named Savage, who was killed last year, was the same person, whose head was used to play soccer, suggesting that the now arrested cultists were responsible for the act.
