#1 Make it happen so I can rebuilt the family beachhouse without a buncha damn Permits pullers, inspektors, turtle snappers and climatologists dragin me down. Seriously, I don't need insurance, I just want to be left in peace to enjoy property my family has owned since 1934.

#2 For homes built in a dumb place (i.e. on a flood plain, on a barrier island or BELOW SEA LEVEL in hurricane territory): when they house floats away - Uncle Sam should come through and pay for the house (via Federal flood ins). But, the US should also buy the land, and require the owner has to rebuild someplace more sensible.

A few years back - I'm watching some reporter interview some home owner after a flood: "Third time in five years that we've been flooded out". Ya know - that would have provided a hint for some folks.
