Reminder: Karzai praised Taliban "morality" in a Der Spiegel interview in June. Taliban has broad support in Pashto Afghanistan.

If Muslim sacred text - the Koran - tells the slaves of allah to not take Jews and Christians as friends, logic dictates that they perceive our dhimmi relations with them, purely in strategic terms. A passive Muslim is a weak Muslim.
